Does anyone other than conservative news outlets ever fact checks CNN?
Yesterday, across media, a South Dakota nurse by the name of Jodi Doering’s appearance on CNN made waves as she talked about numerous patients who are currently suffering from the virus and denying the virus’s existence while dying horrible deaths from COVID-19 in packed hospitals in South Dakota. The only problem is, the story is likely false and if not, a gross overembellishment of the facts.
Nurse Doering, a Marquette grad and licensed CNP lives in a little town called Woonsocket, SD. Doering’s county in which she lives, Sanborn County has had just one COVID-19 death since the beginning of the pandemic which occurred back in October. The information comes from South Dakota’s COVID-19 statistics website, which provides data from all the different regions and counties in South Dakota and USFacts.org.
Doering doesn’t list a place of employment on her social media pages, but RedState has determined she was an employee of Huron Regional Medical Center, where she has worked, at times, on the COVID-19 unit in the hospital. According to the hospital’s marketing lead, with whom RedState spoke this morning, the hospital has only seen 6 deaths total, since the beginning of the outbreak. That’s compared to 22 deaths total, in the entire county of Beadle, where HRMC is located. Currently, at HRMC, there are only 6 non-critical COVID-19 patients in the hospital, and one in the ICU. There are no patients currently on ventilators, according to the State’s COVID-19 statistics page. Of the 6 deaths identifies, RedState was able to determine that one was the tragic case of a 21-year-old mother of three who passed from the virus back in May. Without revealing the identity of the mother, RedState has determined that she likely was not a patient who denied the existence of the virus. That leaves us with 5 patients that died at the hospital since the beginning of the outbreak, who we cannot identify. RedState was not able to determine whether or not Doering was working at the time of any of the deaths. She could have been there for all 5, or there for none of them. The narrative that Doering appeared to be weaving does is not supported by the facts.
So basically we have a medical professional who is claiming that 6 total deaths since the outbreak is considered "numerous" and that six non-critical patients and one in the ICU is currently overwhelming their hospital system.
The official South Dakota Department of Health suggests that Covid patients are currently using 21% of all hospital beds and 31% of ICU beds and 11% of the available Ventilators. Including all other patients, South Dakota currently has approximately a third of all of their normal beds and ICU beds available.
That means that they are at no more than two thirds capacity... which may or may not even be putting any strain on resources. Yet that doesn't stop people who suggest that they have better information from telling everyone that the hospitals are over their capacity and that death is running rampant. Oh and these facts certainly don't stop CNN and other so called news outlets from repeating false claims.
What would it have taken for CNN to do what a reporter from Red State did, when he called the hospital to verify if the claims of the nurse was true? Well it would have taken some mild curiosity and some feeling that the "truth" was more important than telling the story that they wanted to tell. Unfortunately our news organizations today have little use for the truth or fact.

South Dakota Nurse Says Dying Patients Still Don’t Believe COVID Is Real
by Julie Scagell November 17, 2020
She said they ask for ‘magic medicine’ that doesn’t exist
A South Dakota emergency room nurse’s tweet went viral this week for its horrifying message about patients who still don’t believe the coronavirus is real — even as they are dying from it.
Jodi Doering shared a sobering message on social media about her patients who, on their dying breath, still think COVID-19 is a hoax. “I can’t help but think of the Covid patients the last few days,” she started her Twitter thread. “The ones that stick out are those who still don’t believe the virus is real. The ones who scream at you for a magic medicine.”
Doering told CNN’s New Day that her frustration didn’t come from just one person but that she encounters so many who are sick and hospitalized and truly don’t believe it is real. “It wasn’t one particular patient, it’s just a culmination of so many people,” Doering said. “And their last, dying words are, ‘This can’t be happening. It’s not real.’”
She continued in her tweet, “They tell you there must be another reason they are sick. They call you names and ask why you have to wear all that ‘stuff’ because they don’t have COVID because it’s not real.”
The Midwest has been hit hard in recent weeks by the virus. In South Dakota, a reported 821 new cases of COVID-19 were announced on Monday, with 62,521 current confirmed cases statewide. As of today, 644 people have died in South Dakota — where the per capita rate is higher than any other state in the country. The seven-day positivity rate is nearly 60%, also the highest in the US.
South Dakota’s Republican Gov. Kristi Noem has never issued a statewide lockdown and continues to criticize statewide mask mandates. “It’s a good day for freedom. Joe Biden realizes that the president doesn’t have the authority to institute a mask mandate,” Ian Fury, communications specialist for Noem, told South Dakota’s The Argus Leader. “For that matter, neither does Governor Noem, which is why she has provided her citizens with the full scope of the science and trusted them to make the best decisions for themselves and their loved-ones.”
Doering continued: “These people really think this isn’t going to happen to them. And then they stop yelling at you when they get intubated. It’s like a f**king horror movie that never ends. There’s no credits that roll. You just go back and do it all over again.”
She also told CNN that patients continue to rationalize the virus, telling her it’s something else entirely because they’ve convinced themselves it’s not real, saying things like, President-elect Joe Biden is going to ruin our country.
“People want it to be influenza, they want it to be pneumonia,” Doering said. “We’ve even had people say, ‘You know, I think it might be lung cancer.’ … Even after positive results come back, some people just don’t believe it.”
Doering ended her tweets, saying she was trying to enjoy her brief night off. “How ironic I have on my ‘home’ Hoodie,” she wrote. “The South Dakota I love seems far away right now.”

Information about COVID-19 is rapidly changing, and Scary Mommy is committed to providing the most recent data in our coverage. With news being updated so frequently, some of the information in this story may have changed after publication. For this reason, we are encouraging readers to use online resources from local public health departments, the Centers for Disease Control, and the World Health Organization to remain as informed as possible.

Does anybody care what CNN says with trump lying constantly all day, everyday?????? How's those suits going in swing states....last I heard was 0 for 20 with Rudy looking more sanguine and lost than evah!!! Toss in Senator Graham interfering with the Georgia recount is most upsetting that he the idiots of SC gave him 6 more years of fealty.....Sad what this country is becoming with the GOP gasping for air like a covid patient!!!!!
Red State Bullshit
You have lost any credibility Scott
Associated Press isn't credible to Scott a*****e
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) — South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem on Monday showed no sign of budging from her hands-off approach to the pandemic, despite finding herself among a dwindling number of Midwest governors holding out against mask mandates and facing a death rate in her state that has risen to the highest in the nation this month.
As the virus has steadily grown into a full-scale health crisis across the Midwes t, the Republican governor has remained resolute — sticking to the limited-government ideals that have made her a rising star in the conservative movement and arguing that government mandates don’t work. But she finds herself the subject of increased scrutiny for the approach, especially after neighboring Iowa and North Dakota last week moved to require face masks in some settings.
Trump is the most irresponsible President in history
Impeached Trump campaign is now 0-24 in their lawsuits.
PA Supreme Court overturned lower court's decision.
i've got your "systemic racism "(LOL) right fucking here:
A man from Buffalo, New York has been charged after covering his own BMW with racist and homophobic graffiti, WGRZ reports.
According to Erie County District Attorney John Flynn, 18-year-old Clifton Eutsey spray painted his own car with hateful graffiti which included a swastika, the N-word, "KKK," and profanity directed at Black Lives Matter. Police also says that the man poured sugar into his own gas tank. Eutsey also vandalized his car with slogans promoting President Donald Trump.
Eutsey has since been charged with felony insurance fraud, as well as three misdemeanor charges related to filing false reports. If convicted on all charges, he faces up to seven years in prison.
Hate crime hoaxes are more common than most believe, with some researchers estimating that fewer than one third of all hate crime reports are genuine.
Eutsey is facing two additional felony charges stemming from an unrelated incident. In late October, he was caught driving without a license and in possession of two illegal firearms, although it is not clear why the firearms were considered illegal and Eutsey has not been convicted.
The defendant has posted bail, which was set at $20,000, and is set to return to court on January 4th, 2021.

You can listen to some person named Jodi Doering or the fact that her Hospital only has seven Covid patients right now and only one is in ICU.
You can listen to some persons named Jodi Doering or the fact that South Dakota Hospitals are currently at approximately 66% capacity (not overrun).
Which do you listen to?
A person spewing conspiracies on the worst news network of all time?
Or the factual information supplied by the Hospital and the Department of Health?
Your choice...
Which way you choose... tells us all we need to know about how you think!

I don't think President Biden will prosecute Trump, but to restore Law and Order, the fake New York times makes a case to indict Trump.
EARLY IN NOVEMBER, as President Trump challenged the integrity of the election with baseless lawsuits, Joe Biden delivered his first speech as president-elect, declaring it a “time to heal.” It was a phrase that many Americans were surely longing to hear, given the precarious state of the nation’s political culture. But it was also one that carried significant historical weight and possible implications for the future. When President Gerald R. Ford pardoned Richard Nixon for his role in the Watergate scandal, he, too, spoke about the need for “healing.” (Ford titled his subsequent memoir “A Time to Heal.”) When President Lincoln delivered his second inaugural address during the waning days of the Civil War, he spoke in similar terms about the imperative to “bind up the nation’s wounds.” Whether Biden intended to do so, his words provided an early signal about one of the first questions he is going to confront as president: What to do about Donald Trump? Biden faces many daunting challenges — mitigating the ongoing damage from the pandemic, repairing institutions, restoring faith in government — but how to deal with his predecessor’s flagrant and relentless subversion of the rule of law is in many ways the most vexing.
Last year, one of Trump’s lawyers, William Consovoy, memorably argued in open court that a sitting president could shoot a man in public and not be prosecuted. The legal validity of this claim notwithstanding, there is nothing to protect a former president from prosecution. No ex-president has ever been indicted before, but no president has ever left office with so much potential criminal liability.
At the same time, Trump’s campaign eagerly embraced Russia’s effort to interfere in the election. The campaign’s chairman and chief strategist, Paul Manafort, had a long history of carrying out Russian influence operations. He shared internal polling data with a Russian intelligence agent, while another adviser, Roger Stone, helped arrange for WikiLeaks to publish — minutes after the release of the “Access Hollywood” tape in which Trump joked about sexually assaulting women — a large cache of Democratic Party emails stolen by Russian hackers. (Stone has said that he didn’t know where the emails came from or what was in them.)
Can America Restore the Rule of Law Without Prosecuting Trump? https://nyti.ms/2Uz23xN
And the goat fucker speaks from his mommy's root cellar because he is afraid to go outside......BWAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!
So Roger...
You believe it's more likely that the South Dakota Department of Health and the Huron Regional Hospital are both lying about their numbers...
Than it is that a nurse who decides to go on CNN just might be fudging her story, considering it appears at odds with the factual evidence... and she is provided no evidence of any sort to back her story?
just curious if "this" is actually how liberal brains work?
Trust the one crack pot person on CNN...
While demanding that the Department of Health and a Regional Hospital are both reporting false numbers...
And you lil schitty are chasing windmills and losing!!!!!11 BWAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!! Sorry sport with your penchant for lying and skewing numbers .....The nurse has more credibility in her little finger than you have in your whole being!!!!!!!
A Republican senator, may have committed crime, to interfere in counting votes.
The secretary of state in Georgia
Raffensperger, it should be noted, is a conservative who says he has never voted for a Democrat. In his 2018 runoff election, Trump endorsed him in a tweet as someone who would be “a fantastic Secretary of State for Georgia.” The president praised Raffensperger, an engineer and state legislator, as “tough on Crime and Borders, Loves our Military and Vets. He will be great for jobs!”
When Raffensperger received a message on Friday that Graham had called him, he told “CBS This Morning” on Tuesday, he assumed that the South Carolina senator wanted to discuss the Jan. 5 runoff races for both of Georgia’s Senate seats. So he returned the call.
Raffensperger said he was surprised to discover that Graham wanted instead to talk about the ongoing audit of the presidential race and the state law that matches signatures to mail ballots to assure their legitimacy. According to what Raffensperger told my Post colleague Amy Gardner in an interview, Graham raised a conspiracy theory that suggested biased poll workers might have accepted ballots with nonmatching signatures.
The implication was stunning and impossible to miss. Raffensperger told Gardner that Graham was urging him to find a way to toss legally cast ballots, something the secretary of state does not have the power to do, absent court intervention, even if he were so inclined. “It sure looked like he was wanting to go down that road,” Raffensperger said.
He said he didn’t argue with Graham. “I really just got off the call, and I said I would circle back,” Raffensperger told CBS News. After speaking with his counsel, he decided “not to get back and re-engage.”
The Republican secretary of state in Georgia may indict Graham

We all know that YOU believe the nurse on CNN over the South Dakota Department of Health and the Hospital administration she works for.
I am just curious if the other two of your ilk think that same way.
In South Dakota, where the governor is a Trump supporter, the Department of Health and a Regional Hospital could be distorting the numbers.
You don't believe her because she provided information damaging the lame duck President., On purpose!
If the manager of South Dakota Department of Health and the Hospital was appointed by Governor Noem he or she could be lying about the covid-19 pandemic infection rate.
You assume all negative news is trying to get the Orange Monster.
The Department of Homeland Security's cyber chief, who presided over an elaborate election security effort guarding against foreign interference and fraud, was ousted by President Donald Trump on Tuesday as part of a continuing post-election purge of top national security officials.
Trump announced the dismissal in a tweet Tuesday night.
The dismissal of Christopher Krebs, director DHS's Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, follows the agency's declaration that the general election was the most secure in U.S. history.
The statement served as a pointed rebuke to the president who continues to make unsubstantiated allegations of voting fraud while Trump's legal team pursues multiple legal challenges in battleground states.
Ch, are you saying this woman is lying when she says that people with Covid are denying that is what they have? Is she lying when she says they think there must be some miracle medicine that is being with held from them? Is she lying when she hears some of them saying that Joe Biden is going to destroy this country -- and if it's true that she heard even some of them say that, does that suggest who the source was from whom they got their weird ideas?
Is she lying when she says that it depresses her that there have been more deaths in her state than there are people living in her home town (628 was the population I believe she metioned).
Does it bother you, Ch, that you got your thread information from RedState, which originally started out in opposition to the candidacy of Trump but later notoriously became a shill for Trump, as is made clear in the following excerpt from the Wiki article:
from Wikipedia concerning RedState:
__________
In April 2018, there were mass firings of staff at RedState, including the managing editor, Caleb Howe. CNN reported that multiple sources claimed that those who were fired were targeted for removal because they were insufficiently supportive of President Trump. One of those writers fired was Patrick Frey, who alleged that all of those fired were "Trump critics." Former RedState founder Erick Erickson also stated that it "seems the dividing line was loyalty to the President".
In January 2019, three senior contributors for RedState resigned, after they noticed that articles for RedState critical about President Trump were not promoted via social media. In an article for TheBulwark.com, Kimberly Ross and Andrea Ruth stated that "it’s hard not to note the irony that Salem Media, a company that targets “audiences interested in Christian and family-themed content and conservative values,” threw its full support behind Donald Trump, a thrice-married lying philanderer who utilized bankruptcy laws and debt to con tenants and contractors out of their money. Salem now promotes anyone who is pro-Trump, even if those people gleefully flout Christian principles."
In June 2019, RedState published an article that promoted murder of Seth Rich conspiracy theories. RedState deleted it on the same day.
In October 2019, RedState published nude photographs of California politician Katie Hill and alleged that she engaged in two extramarital affairs (with a member of her campaign staff and a member of her US House staff). Hill admitted an affair with the campaign staffer, but denied involvement with the House staffer, and the latter allegation became the subject of a House Ethics Committee inquiry.Hill announced her resignation from Congress, describing herself as a victim of revenge porn and calling for the person who distributed nude photographs of her to be punished. Nancy Pelosi, Speaker of the House, said Hill had made "some errors in judgment that made her continued service as a Member untenable."
In September 2020, it was revealed that a pseudonymous RedState writer, "streiff", worked as a public affairs specialist for the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, but wrote RedState pieces promoting disinformation about the coronavirus and attacking White House coronavirus task force member Dr. Anthony Fauci. Bill Crews, "streiff", called Fauci a "mask nazi", and described him as "attention-grubbing and media-whoring." He also suggested that government officials involved in the coronavirus response deserved to be executed.

Quite a nice source you chose there, Ch!

GOP Members Block Certification of Michigan Results

“On Tuesday, the two Republican members of the Wayne County Board of Canvassers cast an unprecedented vote against certifying the county’s November election results for the county’s 43 jurisdictions, including Detroit, Michigan’s largest voting jurisdiction,” the Detroit Free Press reports.
Washington Post:
“Joe Biden holds a lead of nearly 148,000 votes in Michigan, and Democrats here believe the partisan split of the board in Wayne County — home to heavily Democratic Detroit — simply delays an inevitable official victory for Biden in the state.”
Trump Fires Top Cybersecurity Official For Calling the Election the Most Secure in History

Trump Attacks on Mail Voting Cost Him In Georgia
4:41 pm
Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger (R) told Bloomberg that Donald Trump’s frequent and unsubstantiated accusations of mail-in voting fraud likely contributed to 24,500 people who voted in the state’s Republican primary not voting in the Nov. 3 election — possibly accounting for President-elect Joe Biden’s 14,000-vote advantage in the state.
Said Raffensperger: “In effect, what you’re doing is you are suppressing your own voters. I have no control over what campaigns do, and if they do ill-advised actions that suppress their own vote, what can I do?”
Michigan Elector Says Trump's Coup is ‘Not Going to Happen’
4:34 pm
Michigan Senate Majority Leader Mike Shirkey (R) told Michigan Bridge that Joe Biden is the president-elect, and while the state’s Republican-led Legislature is investigating the election, it will not award the state’s 16 electors to President Trump.
“Hundreds of activists who protested at the Michigan Capitol on Saturday repeated the president’s unproven claims of widespread voter fraud, urging lawmakers to ‘stop the steal’ by choosing their own pro-Trump representatives to the Electoral College.”
Said Shirkey: “That’s not going to happen.”

Republicans succeed in killing themselves.
North Dakota’s coronavirus mortality rate is the highest of any U.S. state or country, according to an analysis of data from last week conducted by the Federation of American Scientists.
The analysis, first reported by HuffPost, shows that North Dakota has a rate of 18.2 deaths per 1 million people. South Dakota, meanwhile, has 17.4 deaths per million, the third-worst rate in the world. The states have a total population of under 2 million.
President Trump has so far been unwilling to concede to Joe Biden, and his latest argument is that the voting machines must have been rigged. Where’s the evidence? Strong claims need strong proof, not rumors and innuendo on Twitter.
Chatter is swirling around Dominion Voting, a company that supplies equipment in some 28 states. What seems to have launched this theory was an early misreport of results in Antrim County, Mich. In 2016 Mr. Trump won 62% of its 13,600 ballots, so eyebrows rose this year when the initial tallies showed Mr. Biden up by 3,000.

Impeached Trump is more AWOL than ever. Laziest, self-absorbed brat I've seen in a long time. Desperate to keep a job he doesn't want, but won't get off his ass to actually do the work.

Tweet. Pout. Tweet. Watch TV. Scream. Tweet. Watch TV. Toss Exec Order bombs to hurt America. Tweet. Watch TV. Shit. Tweet. Eat fast food. Watch TV. Tweet.
"...[Trump] reportedly asked about options for striking Iran during a meeting last week.

Without the go-ahead to start planning for a move out of the White House in 64 days, there is no packing to begin and no moving trucks to book, leaving staffers in the limbo of "do we stay or do we go?"...
Trump did not actually emerge into the crowd. He opted instead to roll through the adoring throngs in his motorcade, waving energetically out the window as Secret Service agents jogged alongside his vehicle.
Later, Trump phoned his social media adviser Dan Scavino to marvel at the sight."

In South Dakota, where the governor is a Trump supporter, the Department of Health and a Regional Hospital could be distorting the numbers.
You don't believe her because she provided information damaging the lame duck President., On purpose!
Uh huh...
Thanks for admitting you are a conspiracy theorists who believes that all objective numbers that don't shed a bad light on the President are part of a large "conspiracy".
Let me guess... are the "Russians" involved in this giant department of health conspiracy to spread false numbers?
Ch, are you saying this woman is lying when she says that people with Covid are denying that is what they have? Is she lying when she says they think there must be some miracle medicine that is being with held from them? Is she lying when she hears some of them saying that Joe Biden is going to destroy this country -- and if it's true that she heard even some of them say that, does that suggest who the source was from whom they got their weird ideas?
Well according to the Hospital only six people have died from this and none a single fatality has been tied to anyone with such political views. So considering she is saying things like "people" and "some of them even" -- then it would seem that there would have had to have been more than six people overall that died.
Moreover according to the Hospital, while she may have worked with some of these patients, she is not even an ICU nurse. Also, wouldn't you suspect that "other" nurses besides her were hearing the same things?
So I guess you believe what you want to believe Reverend...
Which is exactly how your brain works. Believe not what the facts should tell you but what you want.
Again... all three of you are willing to demand that there is a giant conspiracy coverup from the SD DOH and the Hospital Administration... and that the one crackpot nurse (who has no actual evidence that she ever talked to any one of the six dying patients, much less evidence of them saying anything like this) just "must" be telling the truth!
Are you wearing your tin-foil hat today Reverend?
