You just need to understand how to manage your money!
At some point in time, what does $600 really do? If it was meant just as a general stimulus to put some money into the economy, well I could see that. But as it stands, the approach is that the $600 is supposed to mitigate the financial disasters that Covid lockdowns have caused the American public.
But how on earth will $600 help someone who has otherwise been unemployed or underemployed for the past few months? The fact is that it won't. For many of us, the $600 will be something extra that we might use to pay off a bill or otherwise make up for a meager Christmas. For those who are actually unemployed, it doesn't cover rent, car payments, backed up bills, or even much in terms of groceries.
Sure, it's better than "nothing". But certainly it seems like a lot of work for very little results, and one has to wonder why this could not have gotten done "prior" to the election. Okay, nobody "really" wonders why Schumer and Pelosi put this on the back burner. But it sounds good to pretend.

When you don't run the Senate and you don't run the White House, then you don't get to set the policy. Unless of course, you believe everyone is as stupid as you?

Scott's favorite lawyer Powell, on Nov. 19, took aim at Smartmatic and Dominion.
“The Dominion voting systems, the Smartmatic technology software and the software that goes in other computerized voting systems here as well, not just Dominion, were created in Venezuela at the direction of Hugo Chávez (who died on 2013)to make sure he never lost an election after one constitutional referendum came out the way he did not want it to come out,”
You said that Pelosi and Schumer hadn't acted before the election, so it would hurt the President's campaign.
In the context of this discussion is nonsense!

""“You’re getting $600 - what can you do with that? Not to be ungrateful or anything, but maybe it pays down a bill, but it doesn’t pay down every bill every month,” she said. “The short-term quick fix kinda stuff sounds good, and it may even feel good that first month when you get that check, and then you go out and you buy a pair of earrings.”
You said that Pelosi and Schumer hadn't acted before the election, so it would hurt the President's campaign.
Well the bill that just passed was offered to the House in July. They refused and decided to pass something that wouldn't fly in the Senate.
Now, after the election, Schumer and Pelosi endorse and support a $900 package almost identical to the one they had turned down numerous times. Prior to the election they claimed that they would only pass something almost double that.
Now had McConnell and the Republicans decide (after the election) to accept the House package, then it would make sense to blame them for delaying... because they would have had no excuse to now be on board with something they fought against previously.
My argument makes logical sense.
Yours is purely partisan.
McConnell refused to let it come to a vote, because he is concerned about power. He didn't even let it on the floor of the Senate!

THE NUT CASES ARE TRYING TO TAKE OVER THE ASYLUM
House Conservatives Strategize with Trump
9:13 pm
Rep. Mo Brooks (R-AL) and fellow House conservatives met privately on Monday with President Trump and Vice President Mike Pence as the lawmakers prepared to mount a long-shot bid in January to overturn the Electoral College results that made Joe Biden the official winner of the election, CNN reports.
“The discussion focused on Trump’s baseless claims and conspiracies that the election was stolen from him, participants said, and lawmakers emerged confident that there would be a contingent of House and Senate Republicans who would join the effort and prompt a marathon debate on the floor on January 6 that would spill into January 7.
“Pence’s involvement in the meeting is significant because he will preside over the joint session of Congress that would count the electoral votes that day.”
THE NUTCASES, ETC. PART TWO:
Trump Assembles Ragtag Group of Conspiracy Theorists
9:07 pm
“With his baseless claims of widespread voter fraud rejected by dozens of judges and GOP leaders, President Trump has turned to a ragtag group of conspiracy theorists, media-hungry lawyers and other political misfits in a desperate attempt to hold on to power after his election loss,” the Washington Post reports.
“Members of the group assembled in the Oval Office on Friday for a marathon meeting that lasted for more than four hours and included discussion of tactics ranging from imposing martial law in swing states to seizing voting machines through executive fiat. The meeting exploded into shouting matches as outside advisers and White House aides clashed over the lack of a cohesive strategy and disagreed about the constitutionality of some of the proposed solutions.
“Aides said Trump has been searching frantically for pathways to reverse his loss — sidelining officials who try to level with him about it and embracing those claiming to have a solution.”
EVEN PAT ROBERTSON ISN'T THAT CRAZY
Pat Robertson Says Trump Is Living In ‘Alternate Reality’
8:03 pm
“Televangelist Pat Robertson, one of President Trump’s staunchest backers, on Monday described Trump as ‘very erratic,’ called on him to accept that President-elect Joe Biden won and said the Republican should not consider running again in 2024,” the Washington Post reports.
Said Robertson: “You know, with all his talent and the ability to be able to raise money and grow large crowds, the president still lives in an alternate reality. He really does. People say, ‘Well, he lies about this, that and the other.’ But no, he isn’t lying; to him, that’s the truth.”
Trump Trashes McConnell to Fellow Republicans
10:53 pm
“President Trump lashed out at Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell on Monday night for acknowledging Joe Biden won the election, sending a slide to Republican lawmakers taking credit for saving McConnell’s career with a tweet and robocall,” Axios reports.
“It’s an extraordinary broadside against McConnell by the sitting president and most popular Republican in the party, ahead of a crucial runoff election in Georgia on Jan. 5 that will determine control of the Senate.
Said Trump: “Sadly, Mitch forgot. He was the first one off the ship.”
NO WONDER. THE TRUMPTANTIC IS GOING DOWN FAST.
Federal Prosecutors Seek Giuliani’s Communications
9:19 pm
Federal prosecutors have discussed making a legal request for Rudy Giuliani’s electronic communications, two sources familiar with the probe tell NBC News, a sign that the investigation into President Trump’s personal attorney remains active and may soon be ramping up.

McConnell Blocked Paid Leave For Workers With COVID
11:12 pm
“Employers will no longer have to provide paid sick leave to workers who get infected with COVID-19 after Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell blocked that extension from being included in Congress’s latest coronavirus aid package,” BuzzFeed News reports.
Biden Set to Nominate Cardona as Education Secretary
9:47 pm
“President-elect Joe Biden is poised to nominate Connecticut education commissioner Miguel Cardona as his education secretary, a decision that could be one of the final Cabinet selections before Christmas,” CNN reports.
“Biden has set a goal of reopening most schools within the first 100 days of taking office, a position that has touched off controversy with some teachers’ unions. Cardona has been a leading proponent of sending children back to school, saying too many students are falling behind during virtual learning amid the coronavirus pandemic.”
Russian Hackers Targeted Top Officials at Treasury
9:24 pm
“The Russian hackers who penetrated United States government agencies broke into the email system used by the Treasury Department’s most senior leadership, the first detail of how deeply Moscow burrowed into the Trump administration’s networks,” the New York Times reports.
"NO, NO, IT WAS THE CHINKS!" DONNIE SAYS.
Trump Weighs Legal Immunity for MBS
11:18 pm
“The U.S. government is weighing a request to declare Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman immune from a federal lawsuit accusing him of targeting for assassination a former top intelligence officer who could disclose damaging secrets about the prince’s ascent to power,” the Washington Post reports.
“A State Department recommendation could also lead to the dismissal of the prince as a defendant in other cases recently filed in the United States, including ones accusing him of directing the death and dismemberment of dissident journalist Jamal Khashoggi in 2018; and of targeting a hack and leak operation to discredit an Al Jazeera news anchor, Ghada Oueiss, in retaliation for her critical reports on Mohammed and the crown prince of the United Arab Emirates.”

Just passed Congress passed a mammoth coronavirus relief and government spending package Monday night as it moves to inject long-delayed aid into the fight against a once-in-a-century health and economic crisis.
Both chambers easily approved the more than $2 trillion legislation in votes that dragged late into the night. Congressional leaders attached $900 billion in pandemic aid to a $1.4 trillion measure to fund the government through Sept. 30.
Trump pretends Russia was not behind the Cyber-Security Hacking of the USAby Dennis R. Hill
Once again, Donald Trump sides with Putin and Russia instead of the U.S. Intelligence Agencies, and his own Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo. In Trump's eyes, Russia can do no wrong.
Trump ignored Russian meddling in the 2016 Presidential Election. Trump ignored Russia paying Bounty Money for the killing of American Troops, and now Trump is ignoring Russia's cyber-attack on our Federal Government Agencies.
Hopefully, some day we will discover why Trump ignores Russia's attacks on the United States of America. What is it that Russia has over Trump?
Is Donald Trump in debt to Russia? Is Donald Trump being blackmailed by Russia? Is Donald Trump a Russian Agent?Does Russia really have a tape of Donald Trump receiving Golden Showers from Russian prostitutes? Is Donald Trump in business with Russia? Is the answer "All Of The Above"?
Maybe the strangest thing is the fact that the Republican Party, who once considered Russia the "Evil Empire" are now willing to be complicit in Trump's desire to protect Russia instead of America. When did the Republican Party become Russia lovers? Was it around the time they gave up being the Law & Order Party? Was it around the time they gave up being the Family Values Party? Was it around the time they gave up being the Party of Fiscal Responsibility?
Trump's supporters own the Republican Party, and every Republican politician knows it. No Republican will win any future election unless Trump's supporters allow them. The Republican Party has sold it's soul. Their allegiance to Trump out-weighs their allegiance to the Constitution of the United States.
Trump's damage to America will continue.

New Jersey nursing home residents won’t be getting vaccinated Monday — because state officials missed the deadline.
"In order to start on the 21st there was a deadline of the 7th … we missed that date by a day," Health Commissioner Judith Persichilli admitted at a press conference Friday.
"We asked to start on the 21st and they said, ‘No, you’ll start on the 28th.’ It was as simple as that," Persichilli said.
She blamed the "sheer volume of information that had to be inputted" for the more than 600 long-term care facilities, skilled nursing homes and assisted living facilities for the missed deadline.
The mishap comes as New Jersey is also getting 20 percent fewer doses of the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines through the end of the year.
The Garden State had been promised 492,075 doses of the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines this month, but will only get 392,800, Persichilli said.

A bill that every American would have been able to read and understand.
It wouldn't be enough but it would be a start.
Instead, they did this.

ANOTHER COVID PREDICTION TRUMP GOT RIGHT:
He said it was possible to develop a deliverable vaccine by Christmas and he was right. Issues & Insights (I&I) points to something else Trump predicted earlier this year about the Covid crisis for which he was derided, namely, a rousing economic recovery in the second half of the year.
The third quarter saw a 33 percent increase in GDP. Now it appears the fourth quarter will show an increase in the range of 11 percent. What a testament to the strength and fortitude of the American free enterprise system (or what’s left of it)! But there is a problem looming on the horizon, according to I&I:
“Unfortunately, Biden has no intention of leaving well enough alone. Having run on the most leftist agenda in American history, Biden intends to undo all the good things Trump has achieved and impose policies that will turn any hope of a roaring ‘20s repeat into a rerun of the ’30s Great Depression.”
Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play? So it all comes down to two Georgia Senate races.

Another pile of steaming dog shit brought to you by the unabashed loser of NY........BWAAAAAAAA!!!!!! The sad thing is now the dumb fuck wants the gubmint to spend more money on the citizens he hates!!!!!! TOO FUNNY!!!!!
Adios 2020.
"Trump was told in January that covid-19 would be “the biggest national security threat” of his presidency, according to author Bob Woodward, but the president chose to listen to quacks who told him otherwise — which was what he wanted to hear. With the exception of vaccine development, which he did encourage, Trump made everything about the pandemic worse. He turned mask-wearing and business closures into political wedge issues rather than necessary public health measures — and Americans died.
Trump himself was the second-biggest disaster of 2020. Potentially worse than his mishandling of covid-19 is his ongoing attempt to delegitimize the one thing that holds this diverse and fractious nation together: our democracy.
His wild claims of voter fraud have been shown, in courtroom after courtroom, to be utterly baseless. Whether or not he is delusional enough to believe his own nonsense, he continues to poison our politics — and the damage will endure. Even if the media treats him like the fringe-dwelling Twitter troll he soon will merely be, millions of his followers will still believe his lies.
Still, that’s an improvement.
In 2021, vaccines will end the pandemic. Biden, an empathetic and capable man, will be in the White House. We will be able to survey the damage, and we will begin to repair it.
I’m a few days early, but have a happy new year. Lord knows, we all deserve it."

Americans Numb to Staggering Virus Death Toll
6:44 am
Washington Post: “Death is now everywhere and yet nowhere in America. We track its progress in daily bar graphs. We note its latest victims among celebrities and acquaintances. Yet, in many parts of America, we carry on — debating holiday plans, the necessity of mask mandates, how seriously to take the virus, whether it’s all a hoax.
“In the face of one of the biggest mass casualty events in American history, we are growing increasingly numb to death, experts say — numb to the crisis and tragedy it represents and to the action it requires in response. Something happens in the brain when fatalities reach such high numbers, say psychologists who have studied genocides and mass disasters. The casualties become like a mountain of corpses that has grown so large it becomes difficult to focus on the individual bodies.”

Thune Says Challenge to Electoral Vote Won’t Work
6:26 am
Sen. John Thune (R-SD) said that any attempt by a handful of House conservatives to challenge the Electoral College’s results proclaiming Joe Biden the next president is “going down like a shot dog,” Bloomberg reports.
He added: “And I just don’t think it makes a lot of sense to put everybody through this when you know what the ultimate outcome is going to be.”
Trump Lines Up the Losses
6:18 am
Playbook: “For a guy who likes to win, and puts so much stock in not looking like a loser, President Trump is throwing an awful lot of weight behind two efforts that, if you’re charitable, you can say he is not certain to win, but if you’re realistic, you can definitively declare he is likely to lose in a publicly humiliating fashion.
“First, Trump says he is going to veto the National Defense Authorization Act — which has passed every year for 59 years. Aides and congressional allies have made it clear to Trump that his veto is likely to be overridden, and have tried to get him to back off, but he does not at all appear moved by their pleas.
Second, the president is spending his final days in the White House interested in a campaign to pressure members of Congress to join a futile effort to overturn the 2020 election.”
Senate to Return for Possible Trump Veto Override
6:00 am
“Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) announced early Tuesday morning that the Senate will return to Washington on Dec. 29 in order to respond to a potential veto from President Trump of a mammoth defense bill,” The Hill reports.
“McConnell, speaking from the Senate floor, said that he had struck a deal with Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) for the chamber to return for a rare post-Christmas session where he said they will ‘process’ a veto override, if it’s passed by the House.”
How Much Damage Can Trump Do On His Way Out?
5:37 am
Stephen Collinson:
“Joe Biden will be president in 30 days. Until then, the question is how much damage can be done by a vengeful, delusional soon-to-be ex-President swilling conspiracy theories, whose wild anti-democratic instincts are being encouraged by fringe political opportunists.
“Donald Trump will retain the awesome powers of the presidency until noon on January 20, and there’s never been a time when he has been subject to as few restraining influences or has had a bigger incentive to cause disruption.”
CNN:
Pentagon anxiety rises as officers wait for Trump’s next unpredictable move.

President Trump, in his final days, is turning bitterly on virtually every person around him, griping about anyone who refuses to indulge conspiracy theories or hopeless bids to overturn the election, several top officials tell Axios.
The latest: Targets of his outrage include Vice President Pence, chief of staff Mark Meadows, White House counsel Pat Cipollone, Secretary of State Pompeo and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.
Why it matters: Trump thinks everyone around him is weak, stupid or disloyal — and increasingly seeks comfort only in people who egg him on to overturn the election results. We cannot stress enough how unnerved Trump officials are by the conversations unfolding inside the White House.
Top officials are trying to stay away from the West Wing right now.

The fact that the average, decent taxpaying American citizen has not grabbed pitchforks, rope, tar and feathers and not burned Washington DC to the ground decades ago over the repeated fiscal insanity of no budgets, continuing resolutions, and multi-thousand page bills that have all kinds of mad power grabs buried in the fine print or even on page one such as the twin Romney-us and Ream-us of Obamacare and Dodd-Fagg, is nothing short of a miracle.
In the immortal words of Sonny Wortzik via Al Pacino, "we're dying out here." Bit by bit, our nation, our society, our way of life and the freedom to live that life as we see fit and as G-d gave us the ability to live it to its fullest are being stripped away from us. I don't know what's worse; the evil and corruption that is part and parcel of the Democrat Party, the media and the apparatchiks in government and the private sector that are bringing about our demise, or those allegedly on our side who for whatever reason have abrogated their oaths and lack the morals, ethics and character to defend us from this madness.
We're well on the way towards the endgame of "fundamental transformation." A warning, though, to those who have the upper hand. Fundamental transformation is a two-way street. Tens of millions of decent, G-d fearing Americans, who abhor violence at some point are not going to stay that way. Something's going to give. But if we continue to allow this to happen, we'll have no one but ourselves to blame when the inevitable collapse happens.

KRUISER’S MORNING BRIEF:
Will Gestapo Joe Make a Hard Run at Gun Owners Right Away? “It’s imperative to prepare for the system shock of an administration that has the potential to be such a nightmare that conservatives will be longing for the relatively happy days of the Obama administration. Biden is bringing back a lot of the flacks from the Lightbringer Era, and they all seem to be itchy to get working on unfinished business from the first go-round. In fact, you could say that a lot of them are probably looking at this as Obama’s third term. It’s not like the empty vessel Biden is possessed of any great original vision, and he is a pathological plagiarist.”

great original vision? he doesn't even know what day it is without the assistance of "Doctor" (LOL) Biden.

A December survey from the international organization More in Common showed that people on the far left are most likely to report negative feelings about being American.
Just 34 percent of the most left-wing respondents—a group More in Common terms "progressive activists"—said they agree with the statement "I feel proud to be American." Progressive activists are the only ideological group in the survey who agreed with that statement at a rate below 60 percent.
The results contrast with other respondent groups, including minorities in America and Americans identifying as politically conservative. Seventy percent of black Americans and 76 percent of Hispanic Americans reported feeling pride in being American. White Americans were comparable, with 75 percent reporting patriotic pride.

I wonder how long the stooges will hang onto their "but, but, but, Trump" arguments. The beauty of your candidate winning is that you now get to defend every little fuck up (and Biden will commit many). Only so long you can get away with bringing up the "bad orange man" again and again!

for at least as long as 0linsky blamed Bush, and whined about inheriting everything that was even remotely a negative. if memory serves it was all of skeets' first term and about half of his second.

President-elect Joe Biden is set to nominate Connecticut Education Commissioner Miguel Cardona to be his education secretary, according to multiple reports.
The nomination is likely to be one of Biden's last nominations before the Christmas holiday and continues the trend of Biden seeking to have a diverse Cabinet. Cardona, who is Latino, aka Beaner. has held a number of educations posts in Connecticut.
Prior to serving as the state's education commissioner, Cardona worked as an elementary school teacher, principal, and assistant superintendent.
Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie (R) did not rule out a 2024 run against President Trump in an interview that aired on Monday.
"I would not rule it out," Christie said on the Hugh Hewitt Show on Monday when asked if he would rule out a presidential run against Trump if he decided to run in four years.
Christie ran against Trump in the 2016 Republican primary in 2016, but later dropped out of the race and endorsed him.

Did the Indy voter fall down the rabbit hole of being overly obsessed with the "bad orange man" like the Reverend and Roger? After all, he comes on, makes one Trump comment, then fades away... One has to wonder if he is fading back into the turmoil and emotional anguish that comes from Trump living rent free in someone's head?
The beauty of your candidate winning is that you now get to defend every little fuck up (and Biden will commit many).
i'll be having the benny hill theme music AND a laugh track running in the background whenever Slow Joe opens his drooling pie hole.
Scott, Donald will always be identified with NUT CASE.
Biden won't.
Something your side is just going to have to live with. :-)

Red State and Town Hall posting an alleged study of statistics to prove something!!!!!!! BWAAAAAAAAA!!!!! About as good as Lil Schitty's vote releases proved an anomaly was voter fraud......Not going into the details, but the data at best looks to be manipulated and show a singular bias they wanted......the old adage, lies, damn lies , and statistics!!!!! Funny how Lil Schitty talking to Indy knowing full well he is not around!!!!! Very sad!!!!
