Here is how it went down:
- Several poll watchers working Fulton county sign affidavits under oath that the poll workers held a meeting, told everyone that counting was done, but then they found out later that counters continued to count without them observing.
- The Fulton county election workers and their supervisors flat out deny that ballots were counted outside of the presence of appropriate observers. Basically calling the poll watchers liars.
- The media demands that such a denial constitutes "debunking of the claims" and declares under the guise of factchecking that the sworn affidavits are bunk. No late night sneaky ballot counting was done. These are "Pants on fire", "four Pinocchio" style lies.
- This prompts those poll watchers who signed the affidavits to declare that this video was indeed proof of what they suggest and that the previous denials were dishonest.
- The Fulton county election workers and their supervisors demand at this point that the gathering shown on the tape was simply them telling "ballot cutters" and other extra personnel that they were done and could go home. Not poll watchers.
- Since they can no longer deny that they continued to count without poll watchers (as was their original implicational denial), they now provide the "new" explanation that the fact that the poll watchers went home was a misunderstanding on the poll watchers part and not the fault of the election workers. They claim that it was perfectly acceptable for them to count votes without poll watchers, because one of the four of these ballot counters was technically an "observer" and not a counter.
- The media now accepts without question the "new" explanation, declares the claims that the poll watchers were sent home to be "debunked" (again) and demands once again that "fact checking" has proven the poll watchers claims to be false, even as they now appear true.
Then certain savvy member of social media and the conservative media point out that on election night, just at the same time that the election workers held that meeting, that the Secretary of States Elections department had, in fact, issued statements to the press telling everyone that Fulton County (and others) were suspending their counting for the evening and would restart in the morning. These provides further evidence of what the poll watchers were claiming and once again seem to put the work of the election officials at question.
- Which of course, should debunk the media debunks and prove that the media fact checking here needs some serious fact checking. There doesn't seem to be even a reasonable explanation as to why the ballot counters continued to count when the SOS office had told them to suspend counting or why they would have done so without poll watchers.
- But this prompts pretty much nothing but crickets from either the election workers who steadfastly refuse to give ground or the media who seem incapable of questioning anyone other than those who provided sworn affidavits. They all appear to stand by the "new" explanation of events even as it is a mile or two short of passing the basic sniff test.
Now I certainly am not saying that "everything" suggested by the lawsuits or by the conspiracy theorists are true. The ballot boxes under the table were probably not suitcases, and the fact that they appear to be "hidden" under the table might have an honest explanation.
What I will tell you is that there is absolutely every reason to believe that the Poll watchers were telling the absolute 100% truth when they say that they were sent home. There is also every reason to believe that the election poll workers are lying through their teeth when they suggest it was a misunderstanding.
I would bet everything I own on those assumptions.
I will also tell you that the small amount of ballots that some are saying were counted does not jive with what is shown on the tape. These workers ran ballots through for two and a half hours on several machines that count 3000 ballots an hour. There is no way that the total count from that was less than 5000 as some are suggesting, and most certainly I don't attribute a random drop of evenly split ballots between Biden and Trump as accounting for mail in ballots from Fulton. If Trump was winning 50% of the mail in ballots in Fulton, there is no way he lost Georgia.
This is a horrible example of the media openly choosing to believe an explanation for events (that make no logical sense)- while continuing to report that the allegations (that appear to verified by video and backed up by press statements from the Secretary of State elections division) to be false. The "only" explanation for this action is the fact that the version of events that are reporting as true is simply the version of events that they personally "want" to believe to be true. That is no way for an honest journalist to behave.

Trump’s Promised Flood of Vaccine Is a Trickle
2:34 pm
Washington Post:
“Federal officials have slashed the amount of coronavirus vaccine they plan to ship to states in December because of constraints on supply, sending local officials into a scramble to adjust vaccination plans and highlighting how early promises of a vast stockpile before the end of 2020 have fallen short.
“Instead of the delivery of 300 million or so doses of vaccine immediately after emergency-use approval and before the end of 2020 as the Trump administration had originally promised, current plans call for availability of around a tenth of that, or 35 to 40 million doses.”
Axios:
“The amount of vaccinations available could pick up in January and February but will still be lower than the administration originally projected.”
Some Democrats Question Party’s Health-Care Focus
2:26 pm
“After suffering losses in congressional races across the country, some Democrats are pushing the party to re-evaluate its focus on health care and prioritize the economy ahead of two key Senate races in Georgia,” the Wall Street Journal reports.
“Health care was the most-mentioned issue across all Democratic presidential and Senate television ads, airing nearly 1.5 million times… Democrats made defending the Affordable Care Act a top issue in Supreme Court confirmation hearings weeks before the election and promised repeatedly on the campaign trail to protect the law.
“Democrats took the House majority in 2018 after centering their campaigns on the Trump administration’s efforts to chip away at the health law. But after the party lost multiple House seats and underperformed in several Senate races this year, some former candidates and strategists who worked on 2020 campaigns say Democrats should have focused more on people who were losing their jobs and struggling to pay rent during the pandemic.”

“Congress is entering the decisive days of the lame duck with a huge to-do list and very little time as President Trump mostly focuses on his flailing legal and political attempts to overturn the election. The coming days will require bicameral, bipartisan coordination and some buy-in from the outgoing White House to avoid a complete debacle.”

Fact-checking claims about Fulton County's election
Author: Brendan Keefe
Updated: 8:03 PM EST December 4, 2020
ATLANTA — President Donald Trump's team is pointing to newly released surveillance video from State Farm Arena as evidence of election fraud.
11Alive is taking a look at the video and the claims to separate fact from fiction.
The video was shown Thursday in the State Senate Hearing, but state investigators confirm they've had it for weeks and determined Fulton County was legally county ballots. There is more to the story, however.
"Yeah, I saw four suitcases come out from underneath the table," said Jackie Pick, a Trump Attorney.
"I'm going to call it a suitcase," Pick said.
Supporters of the president are calling it #SuitcaseGate on social media.
However, they are not suitcases. 11Alive confirmed they're the standard ballot containers used by Fulton County.
"What the video shows is that they have pulled out plastic bins from underneath the desks. Those are bins that they keep under their desks near the scanners," said Richard Barron, Fulton County's elections director.
A Democratic senator mentioned during the hearing that this has been investigated already. Here is part of that exchange with Pick.
Senator: They've investigated repeatedly, that they had a monitor on-site the entire time, that this whole thing has been debunked for weeks by our Secretary of State's Office.
Pick: I doubt he's seen the video.
Senator: What evidence?
Pick: Your officials need to watch the video.
11Alive learned that they did watch the video, which is not new. State investigators reviewed the State Farm surveillance tapes weeks ago.
Gabriel Sterling with the Secretary of State's Office tweeted "the 90 second video of election workers purporting to show fraud was watched in its entirety (hours) by @GaSecofState investigators. Shows normal ballot processing."
"The press reported that there was like a supposed water main break, or pipe break or whatever, and this was an excuse for people clearing out of State Farm," Pick said at the hearing.
The water pipe leak and the events on the surveillance video did not happen on the same night. Those two events occurred 17 hours apart.
The workers leaving were those who opened the ballot envelopes. Once they were done processing that batch they went home.
"At about 10, there was one person working the polls who told everyone in the room to leave," Pick said.
The Fulton elections director explained what happened.
"They began letting certain people go. No announcement was ever made to leave, for anyone to leave," Barron said.
Republican monitors claim they were forced out.
However, both 11Alive journalists on site that night independently confirmed that they were not told to leave, but they were told counting was done for the night.
"Why are they only counting them whenever the place is cleared out with no witnesses," Pick asked.
11Alive was able to determine that this part is true. The media and the party monitors were not given notice that counting would continue into the early morning hours and they should have been.
The Secretary of State's Office said one of its monitors was present. The counting of those heavily-Democratic absentee ballots did result in a big batch of numbers coming from Fulton County in the 1 a.m. am hour on election night.
The spike in the numbers has led Trump supporters to conclude that Joe Biden took the lead because of it - however, that's not true.
Biden was already leading Fulton County before those absentee ballots were counted and he did not take the lead in Georgia until days later.

As of Friday afternoon, South Dakota led the country in the average daily number of recent Covid-associated deaths per capita, with three for every 100,000 people, according to a New York Times database. North Dakota was second, with 1.5.
More than 40 percent of South Dakota’s 1,033 Covid-related deaths to that point occurred in November, according to statistics from the Covid Tracking Project, and the same was true of North Dakota’s 983 deaths.

Biden May Arrive for His Inauguration By Train

Trump Plans a Wild White House Exit
5:49 pm
“President Trump is considering a made-for-TV grand finale: a White House departure on Marine One and final Air Force One flight to Florida for a political rally opposite Joe Biden’s inauguration,” Axios reports.
“The former network star is privately discussing using his waning powers as commander in chief to order up the exit he wants after dissing Biden by refusing to concede the election, welcome him to the White House or commit to attending his inauguration.
“Immediately announcing he is running for re-election in 2024 would set up four years of Trump playing Biden’s critic-in-chief.”
Prediction:
This could very well make most Americans angry.

It’s not every day that you have a chance to watch folks try to destroy the world’s oldest democracy.
But in case you did not watch, this is what happened Saturday evening: Over the course of a nauseating and embarrassing evening at Heaven’s Gate, President Trump claimed that American democracy is rigged with ballots coming out of ceilings and leather suitcases and that he regrets not sending the military into majority-black U.S. cities to stop imaginary fraud. In addition, the president explicitly tried recruiting Republican elected officials to go along with his ham-handed attempt to steal the election, telling them that if they break the law and help his attempt to overturn a free and fair election, then they will “go down in history as great people.”
It is important to say, right here at the top, that the buffoonery is masking something deadly serious.
This is not your drunk uncle posting on Facebook after dark.
It is not a fringe congressman from some Texas district.
It’s the president of the United States.
The president of the United States.
Voter fraud has been a problem for a long time, and I think it was worse this year than ever. Did fraud swing the election? Key questions remain unanswered, as far as I know. In several pivotal states, ballot counting was shut down (or allegedly shut down, in the case of Georgia) in the middle of the night. Then, when counting resumed, enormous numbers of ballots that were overwhelmingly in favor of Joe Biden–by margins that can’t possibly be right, not 60/40 but, say, 98/2–suddenly turned up and were counted. Have the Democrats offered any explanation for what happened, or any confirmation that these near-unanimous tranches of Biden votes actually existed? Not that I know of.
The bare facts are suspicious, to say the least. More than 74 million Americans voted for President Trump, 12 million more votes than he received in 2016, and more, by far, than any presidential candidate of either party has ever gotten. And we are supposed to believe that Joe Biden, a mentally impaired senior citizen who didn’t campaign, who rarely left his basement, about whose candidacy virtually no one was enthusiastic outside his immediate family, smashed all records by getting 81 million Americans to vote for him, 12 million more than voted for Barack Obama in 2008? Actual live Americans, voting legally, and only once? While millions of those same voters didn’t vote down-ballot, so that, apart from the presidential race, it was a good year for Republicans? I don’t believe it.
And trumpet and his theory are complete bullshit.....who to believe....an unknown asshole with an attitude or the states that count the votes??????? BWAAAAAAPAAAAAA!!! Trump acting like the Lil Dicktator he wants to be has convinced half the country he won and has been wronged.....half the county sits on their fucking brains!!!!!
At bottom, it’s completely bizarre that Biden did not sweep the United States. Instead, he swept a few specific precincts. If Biden were as popular as his victory indicates, wouldn’t his support have been enormous in every state in which he won? It’s simply inconceivable to a logical person that every non-polling metric predicted a massive Trump victory, only to have Biden win in a handful states that had election anomalies never before seen in an American election – but often seen in a Venezuelan one.

Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson had just finished wrapping string lights around her home’s portico on Saturday evening and was about to watch “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” with her 4-year-old son when a
crowd of protesters marched up carrying American flags and guns.
About two dozen protesters chanted “Stop the Steal” and accused Benson, a Democrat and Michigan’s chief election officer, of ignoring widespread voter fraud — an echo of President Trump’s continued unfounded claims as he seeks to overturn the results of the election that President-elect Joe Biden won.
“She’s decided to completely ignore all of the credible, credible, fraudulent evidence that has been continually pointed out,” demonstrator Genevieve Peters said of Benson, as she live-streamed the protest in Detroit on Facebook. “We’re out here in front of the secretary of state’s house and we want her to know we will continue to be here.”
Although the group dispersed with no arrests when police responded just before 10 p.m. Saturday, Michigan state officials accused the group of “terrorizing” Benson’s family.
“They shouted baseless conspiracy theories about the election, and in videos uploaded to social media, at least one individual could be heard shouting ‘you’re murderers’ within earshot of her child’s bedroom,” Michigan

poor babies...
in case you were wondering why folks were protesting this hack:
Specifically, the suit notes that Benson circumvented the explicit intent of the Michigan Legislature, which established an absentee ballot process designed to minimize the risk of fraud. Benson allegedly violated numerous provisions of this process by sending unsolicited absentee ballot applications to every household in the state without verifying whether the intended recipients were still residing at the same location, whether they were eligible to vote in 2020 or even whether they were still alive.
Benson compounded the error by establishing a process for online absentee ballot applications, again without statutory authority. This precludes the possibility of obtaining an actual signature from the voter, as required by law. The secretary of state’s unlawful actions flooded the state with absentee ballots, which are inherently less secure than in-person voting.
Courts have repeatedly found that mail-in and absentee ballots are particularly susceptible to fraud, the Amistad Project said. This vulnerability was exacerbated by the numerous irregularities during the vote counting process, particularly in Wayne County, detailed in numerous affidavits included with the Amistad Project’s litigation.
The affidavits describe election workers counting ballots from voters whose names did not appear on official voter rolls, failing to verify signatures on absentee ballots and even backdating absentee ballots that arrived too late to be counted. Eyewitnesses also reported the late arrival of tens of thousands of “unsecured and unsealed” ballots.

Michigan Republican legislative leaders were not happy on Friday when they learned the Board of Elections (BOE) ordered county clerks to delete election-related data from government computers.
On December 1, the BOE, which is under the auspices of Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson (D), sent a memo to all clerks about recounts and the “release of voting equipment.”
One section, titled, “E-Pollbook laptops and flash drives,” read:
The EPB software and associated files must be deleted from all devices by the seventh calendar day following the final canvass and certification of the election (November 30, 2020) unless a petition for recount has been filed and the recount has not been completed, a post-election audit is planned but has not yet been completed, or the deletion of the data has been stayed by an order of the court or the Secretary of State.

well whattaya know... it looks like those protesters had much to be pissed about.
Lisa Lerer of the New York Times, having looked at the county-by-county election results, concludes that Joe Biden failed to win back the working class for the Democrats. In fact, he seems to have fared worse with blue-collar voters than “Hillary from Chappaqua” did.
Lerer writes:
The clearest way to understand the results of the 2020 election — and, perhaps, the shifting state of our politics — is through the education voting gap. Voters with college degrees flocked to Mr. Biden, emerging as the crucial voting bloc in the suburbs. Those without them continued their flight from the Democratic Party. . . .
One way to examine this trend county by county is to look at the number of voters who have white- or blue-collar jobs. . . .
The results were striking. Of the 265 counties most dominated by blue-collar workers — areas where at least 40 percent of employed adults have jobs in construction, the service industry or other nonprofessional fields — Mr. Biden won just 15, according to data from researchers at the Economic Innovation Group, a bipartisan policy research group.
On average, the work force in counties won by Mr. Biden was about 23 percent blue collar. In counties won by President Trump, blue-collar workers made up an average of 31 percent of the work force.
The realignment Lerer describes has been in the works for some time. However, Democrats hoped that Joe Biden would appeal more to blue=collar voters than Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton — both obvious elitists — did. After all, as Lerer puts it, Biden “built his political brand on being a scrappy kid from Scranton, Pa., who became just another guy riding the train to work.” Indeed, “the rallying cry of his campaign in the final weeks was: ‘This election is Scranton versus Park Avenue.’”
But the working class didn’t buy it. According to Lerer, Biden fared worse than Clinton in 2016 and Obama in 2012 and 2008 in counties dominated by blue-collar workers.
Will Democrats be able to win back working class voters? Maybe, but I doubt it. The Dems seem to be all in on political correctness and identity politics — two massive turnoffs to blue-collar (and many other) voters. They are also committed to mass amnesty for illegal immigrants and probably to trade policies and international agreements that will be easy targets for Republicans.
