“Just for your viewers out there, I know one of the officials who we just saw getting vaccinated is planning on traveling after the second dose. This is a source of confusion. This is one of the misperceptions out there. Just because you get vaccinated with that second dose does not mean you should be participating in things like traveling in the middle of an out of control pandemic or that you’re liberated from wearing masks.
“Everything still applies until all of us get the two dose regimen, and we don’t think that’s going to happen until June or July. And, again, this goes back to what we just talked about, Chuck. We don’t know if just getting the vaccination prevents serious illness, or does it also prevent you from getting infection entirely? Meaning, you can still get infected with the virus potentially and pass it on to others. So, really, really critical — don’t let your guard down just because you got vaccinated. You still might be able to get infected with the virus and pass it on to others, so please keep that in mind.”
So isn't the general purpose of a vaccine to stop people from catching something? We don't get a flu vaccine, then sit in our rooms in the dark as a secondary means to prevent catching the flu? If the vaccine is as effective as suggested, the chances of a vaccinated person catching Covid will drop down to approximately 0.1 percent. According to studies, wearing a mask at that point will make a difference of approximately 0.01 percent. Considering that the survival rate of Covid is over 99 percent, you can tell exactly how little mask wearing for a vaccinated person will help.
There are probably about a 1000 different things you could do "every single day" that would make you safer in general, starting with not driving, not drinking alcohol, not eating fast food, not skipping your exercise. Even something such as "petting a dog" or going outside in the rain or snow would likely be more dangerous than going out without a mask. It would be clearly more dangerous to shower, bath, step on a ladder, use a power tool than it would be for a vaccinated person to leave the house without a mask.
Ironically, leaving the house in general would likely be largely more dangerous (in comparison to not leaving) than leaving the house without a mask. Meaning, the generally concept that wearing a mask to stay safe, is ridiculous because the real danger is leaving in the first place.
If (as expected) people on the left, especially your power hungry politicians continue to demand mandates and restrictions even after a vaccine is widely available, then we will know that all of this was more about virtue signaling than safety.

MYTH: MASKS DON’T OFFER PROTECTION FROM THE VIRUS
In fact, they do.
However, mixed messaging early on caused some confusion. U.S. officials initially told Americans they did not need to wear or buy masks, at a time when there was a shortage of N95 masks for health workers. They later reversed course, urging the public to wear cloth masks and face coverings outside.
The early messaging gave people “a little more room to take up these narratives” against wearing masks, explained Stephanie Edgerly, a communications professor at Northwestern University.
Some social media users, for example, are still circulating a video from March of Dr. Anthony Fauci, the U.S. government’s top infectious disease expert, saying people “should not be walking around with masks,” although he has since urged people to cover their faces in public. Versions of that clip have been watched millions of times on Facebook, YouTube and Twitter.
Online claims that masks are not an effective form of protection spiked again in October after U.S. President Donald Trump and two U.S. senators contracted COVID-19 during a Rose Garden ceremony, according to media intelligence firm Zignal Labs. Social media users claimed that the coverings must not be effective because the senators wore masks at some points during the event.
But masks do prevent virus particles from spreading. Last month, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, which continues to advise Americans to wear masks, cited research that suggested masks can protect the wearer as well as other people.

you watch. these fucking assholes will continue with theit idiotic mask demands into at least 2022. why? because they can. they're getting off on this shit. especially since they can shirk the rules themselves. iow, there's no downside for them.

Viral Panic
brendan patrick purdy
Situated between Los Angeles and Santa Barbara counties on the California coast, Ventura County boasts a population of about 850,000, living amidst pristine beaches, occasionally snowcapped mountains, and plentiful farmland. Since April, Ventura County’s 7-day rolling average for deaths attributed to Covid-19 (SARS-CoV-2) has only barely exceeded 2 a handful of times, and for the past 14 days our County has had one death due to the Coronavirus. Only 0.02% of the population has succumbed to Covid-19 and to the best of my ability to determine, all of these poor souls were elderly and/or had comorbidities.
The number of cases per 100,000 has now increased to over 15, but (thank God) while some are being hospitalized, and some even have been placed in Intensive Care Units (ICU), there are still plenty of hospital beds and ventilators in the County. Yet, Ventura County was relegated to the most restrictive of California’s four-tier system along with much of the State before Thanksgiving even though not many people are dying and the hospitals are not being overrun. When reflecting on the data and what governments have done in an attempt to “flatten the curve” or “stop the spread,” why is there such a great disconnect between the lethality of the Coronavirus and governmental response to it?
In The Price of Panic, Douglas Axe, William M. Briggs, and Jay W. Richards offer a contemporaneous answer to this question while at the same time exploring alternative ways to deal with the pandemic that are not violations of mere social norms, let alone the inalienable rights that are enshrined in the Bill of Rights. There have been violations of the free exercise of religion and the right to peacefully assemble, both enshrined in the First Amendment. The Second Amendment’s guarantee of right to keep and bear arms, which is fundamental to allowing a free people to defend themselves against both criminals and the government has also been restricted; this is particularly important when the government does not protect its people from criminals. The sanctity of private households, the Fourth Amendment, has been disregarded. Presently in most of California, you are not supposed to have any friends or family over to your house. Many governments have disregarded the right of due process and property, which as part of the Fifth Amendment are not to be ignored. The Twenty-First Amendment’s guarantee to drink liquids of one’s choice is in many places functionally returning to the Eighteenth Amendment. While some may quibble at “intoxicating liquors” as an inalienable right, the ability to drink such liquids is certainly part of the natural law tradition.
Panicked Models
The first part of the book focuses on how the media (both mainstream and social), spread news about the Coronavirus in a viral fashion. This panic was induced by the actual noticing of deaths due to Covid-19 and obsessing over the number of cases, rather than those that were actually really sick or dying rather than merely infected. Further, the media offered no actual context to the number of deaths—that is, no context within which the public might have attempted to understand the threat.
For example, alongside never-ending daily updates of cases, the media never thought to compare this virus to a more-deadly-than-usual annual influenza like the Swine Flu (H1N1, 2009), or the calamitous Spanish Flu (H1N1, 1918-20) that killed approximately fifty million of the five hundred million infected. A lack of context is always dangerous; lacking context on the dangers of this virus led to a media panic.
Public officials were in many cases all too happy to regulate the minutia of individuals’ lives in response to the panic. The experts and the politicians always had a supposedly irrefutable answer for why they trampled on individual’s rights: We’re following the science! However, what is meant by the science here? The authors rightly identify the provenance of the panic as mathematical-cum-statistical models. Thus, the science is not the science of test tubes and petri dishes, but of computer models.
There were two models that lead to the Covid-19 hysteria: Imperial College London’s Medical Research Council (MRC) Centre for Global Infectious Disease Analysis and University of Washington’s Institute of Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME); following The Price of Panic. I’ll refer to these, respectively, as the Imperial College and IHME models. Every model, which is a formal way to describe part of reality, has a dichotomous tension as well as choice between two purposes. The tensity is between overfitting or underfitting the data, that is, scientists hope to avoid the dangers of either a model with large variance or large bias. The goal is to have a model with low variance (it is able to model similar situations with different data) and low bias (it models the given data very well.) They must also choose between a model that is used to explain and one that is used to predict. While some models can be both explanatory and predictive, generally a model will only excel at one of the two. A model with both high variance and high bias, results in a model that produces the greatest possible prediction error. Axe, et al. persuasively argue that both the Imperial College and IHME models are guilty of this double-sin.
The authors point out the Imperial College model, which the World Health Organization (WHO) relied on in early March of this year, was predicting 40 million deaths worldwide and 2.2 million of those in the United States. This would mean Covid-19 would be as dangerous as the Spanish Flu, which came on the heels of World War I and with the rudimentary medical science of a century ago. Not only was the model incorrect in its mortality predictions by late March by a factor of two thousand times, there were numerous issues with its methodology, code, replicability, and complexity. For example, the Imperial College model assumed that there is no natural immunity to Covid-19 (which given how children fight the virus is prima facie at least a questionable assumption) and their code was riddled with errors that gave inconsistent outputs based on different inputs.

The real experts say that we may get worse for a few months, until the vaccine is given to millions of Americans.
Death by age doesn't matter to Scott asshole .
Scott's assumption on the reasons the liberals are fixated on control.
people on the left, especially your power hungry politicians continue to demand mandates and restrictions even after a vaccine is widely available,
They actually want to protect themselves and others from danger, it's not politically motivated to control others.
Amazing Roger that Lil Schitty who supports the authoritarian trump claims it is power hung arty politicians are the problem for mandates.. Trump wants to steal the country and run it like a family......sound familiar?????? BWAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!
They actually want to protect themselves and others from danger, it's not politically motivated to control others.
If the vaccine works as advertised, then the threat of Covid death will drop to the point of being about 1/6th that of alcohol related diseases.
How do you justify keeping people locked in their homes and not allowed to work over something that would suddenly become only marginally dangerous... while we allow people to drive (which will be twice as dangerous) drink, and do all sorts of dangerous activities, that involve greater threats.
Are you advocating that our society becomes just really stupid?
Will the left let go of restrictions, masks, and other virtue signaling just because of a Vaccine?"
Nope.

oh, so THAT'S why they issue lock down orders for US, mask mandates for US, while ignoring their own orders, going mask-less, dining at fine dining establishments, and enjoying wine and painting parties.
couple that with the fact that there is NO FUCKING SCIENCE to support their tyrannical demands, and you can perhaps understand why at a minimum we meet them with skepticism, and at most we think they're completely full of fucking shit.

TSA Is Seeing An Alarming Post-Thanksgiving Covid-19 Spike
Suzanne Rowan KelleherSenior Contributor
Travel
I cover travel trends and innovations.
Two weeks after the Thanksgiving weekend, Covid-19 infections are spiking among Transportation Security Administration (TSA) employees around the country.
The Wednesday and Sunday of the holiday weekend were high points for air travel during the pandemic, with more travelers passing through U.S. airport security checkpoints on those two days than any others since mid-March, according to agency
Miami International Airport leads the country with the most TSA coronavirus cases with a tally of 197 since mid-March. Next comes Chicago O’Hare Airport with 176 TSA agents infected and Los Angeles International Airport with 169.
Prior to Thanksgiving, public health officials predicted that travel over the holiday weekend would create a superspreader event.
As the US nears the grim milestone of 300,000 dead Americans due to Covid-19, the country is now seeing over 220,000 new cases a day. And experts say the worst is yet to come.
Speaking at the Milken Institute Future of Health Summit last week, Dr. Anthony Fauci, the nation’s top infectious disease expert, said, “We’re getting those staggering numbers of new cases and hospitalizations before we even feel the full brunt of the Thanksgiving holiday.”
Sweden's king has said his country "failed" to save lives with its relatively relaxed approach to the coronavirus pandemic.
King Carl XVI Gustaf made the remarks as part of an annual TV review of the year with the royal family.
Sweden, which has never imposed a full lockdown, has seen nearly 350,000 cases and more than 7,800 deaths - a lot more than its Scandinavian neighbours.
Prime Minister Stefan Lofven said he agreed with the king's remarks.
"Of course the fact that so many have died can't be considered as anything other than a failure," Mr Lofven told reporters.
Referring to the government's strategy, Mr Lofven added that "it's when we are through the pandemic that the real conclusions can be drawn".
Did Sweden's coronavirus strategy succeed or fail? What is Europe doing about Covid and Christmas?Tracking the global pandemic: Where has been hit hardest?
In the programme, the king says: "I think we have failed. We have a large number who have died and that is terrible.
"The people of Sweden have suffered tremendously in difficult conditions. One thinks of all the family members who have happened to be unable to say goodbye to their deceased family members. I think it is a tough and traumatic experience not to be able to say a warm goodbye."
When asked if he was afraid of being infected with Covid-19, the king - who is 74 - said: "Lately, it has felt more obvious, it has crept closer and closer. That's not what you want."
This has been Scott's favorite solution to the pandemic!
And experts say the worst is yet to come.
yup.
just like when IHME forecasted 2.1 MILLION dead.
and just like when Neil Ferguson caught the 'rona while banging some married broad who took it home to her cuck husband.
"experts" lock us down. "experts" demand we stay home and wear masks while they dine mask-less at fancy restaurants.
"experts" who shut down indoor NYC dining for a whopping 1.4% "spike."
so many experts.
and endless line of experts.
except for experts like the experts who expertly signed the Great Barrington Declaration. THOSE experts must be ignored because their expert advice just happens to align with freedom and liberty.
and according to the right experts, freedom and liberty must be suspended until the experts deem those God-given rights as worthy of being restored. if ever.
We have to put the safety of the people, over the political agenda of idiots like Scott asshole the paper pusher who has lost his mind
rrb will go crazy
President-elect Joseph R. Biden Jr. will nominate Michael S. Regan, secretary of the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality, to lead the Environmental Protection Agency, according to three people on the Biden transition team.
Mr. Regan became Mr. Biden’s top choice only in recent days, two people familiar with the selection process said. The front-runner had for several weeks been Mary D. Nichols, California’s air quality regulator, but she faced significant criticism from liberal groups who accused her of not doing enough to address issues of environmental racism in her state.
Mr. Biden also has been under pressure to make his cabinet choices more racially diverse. If confirmed, Mr. Regan is expected to bring a strong focus on racial equity to the agency.
“It signals that the Biden administration is serious about getting the E.P.A. back to its core mission to protect the environment and public health as well as ensure strong, meaningful steps are taken to advance environmental justice issues,” said Brian Buzby, the executive director of the North Carolina Conservation Network, a coalition of environmental groups.

SO, WHEN CAN WE SAY GOODBYE TO MASKS?
Experts estimate that around 70% of the population—more than 200 million people—in the U.S. would need to gain immunity, either from coronavirus infection or a vaccine, for the pandemic to end. The general public is not expected to have access to vaccines until spring.
"It's going to take months, not weeks, but at the same time also not years, until we can end these mitigation measures. Not everyone can get vaccinated, not everyone will get vaccinated, and we're still learning about the vaccination, so everything else we've been doing all along is still so important," says Goldstein.
By mid-2021, experts predict we'll know enough about how well this vaccine is blocking infections at a population level to determine when we can start scaling back on mitigation measures. As for when we'll actually say goodbye to masks and social distancing all together?
"My optimistic view on this is by December 2021," says Goldstein. "The big unknown is whether the public will accept and get the vaccine—both doses—in sufficient numbers."
Sachinwalla agrees that getting the public to accept the vaccine is crucial. And you need both doses, spaced three weeks (Pfizer) to four weeks (Moderna) apart, to get the maximum protection. A recent published study showed the Pfizer vaccine efficacy was 52% after the first dose and didn't reach 95% until after the second.
Sachinwalla's best guess for when we can stop wearing masks presents a slightly shorter timeline.
"I'm hoping sometime this summer, assuming we get good vaccine uptake in the community and it works as well as these initial studies have suggested," he says.
I’ll end this column with a shout-out to a federal judge who really did stand up for the rule of law in an opinion last week. The question concerns abortion, and whether, given the conditions of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Food and Drug Administration should relax its rule requiring women to visit their doctor’s office in order to get the medication that causes an early abortion. The F.D.A. has suspended the in-person rule for some other medications, but refused requests from medical organizations to do the same for the abortion drug mifepristone.
In July, Federal District Judge Theodore Chuang, who sits in Greenbelt, Md., issued an injunction requiring the agency to permit doctors, for the duration of the pandemic, to mail or deliver the medication. In October, the Supreme Court responded to the Trump administration’s request for a stay of the injunction by sending the case back to Judge Chuang, telling him to permit the government to argue among other points, that improvements in the Covid-19 situation since the spring meant that visiting a doctor’s office was no longer a sufficient obstacle to merit relaxing the rule for mifepristone.
After receiving the administration’s brief to that effect, Judge Chuang issued a 34-page opinion explaining that while conditions have indeed changed, they have changed for the worse. Noting that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the National Institutes of Health, and the Food and Drug Administration have warned about the increasing intensity of the pandemic, he observed that the administration “has offered no expert opinions from a scientist at one of these agencies or elsewhere in the federal government to contradict the facts and conclusions” about the rising danger.
“The fact that individuals are permitted to venture out during a pandemic to restaurants or businesses does not establish that women should be mandated to risk exposure to Covid-19 in order to exercise a constitutional right,” the judge wrote. Of course, the Trump administration promptly returned to the court this week seeking a stay of Judge Chuang’s decision.
So yes, let’s give credit where credit is due. Let’s thank the courts — plural — for upholding the rule of law. Let’s celebrate the judges who were there when we needed them. We still do.

Rising Covid-19 cases are taking a steep toll on economic activity, battering the labor market even as new vaccines offer a ray of hope for next year.
The number of Americans filing initial claims for unemployment insurance remained high last week, the Labor Department reported Thursday. After dropping earlier in the fall, claims have moved higher, and they remain at levels that dwarf the pace of past recessions.
There were 935,000 new claims for state benefits, compared with 956,000 the previous week, while 455,000 filed for Pandemic Unemployment Assistance, a federally funded program for part-time workers, the self-employed and others ordinarily ineligible for jobless benefits.
On a seasonally adjusted basis, the number of new state claims was 885,000, an increase of 23,000 from the previous week.
Consumer caution, coupled with new restrictions on business activity like indoor dining, has pummeled the hospitality industry, lodging, airlines and other service businesses. The debut of a coronavirus vaccine this week offers the prospect of relief, but until mass inoculations begin next year, the economy will remain under pressure.
Biden’s style is atrocious, her research is comical, her reasoning is muddled, and as one finishes the final vacuous line of this student-newspaper-style exercise (“A student retention plan requires diligence and effort — but most of all, leadership”), it is impossible not to be reminded that the University of Delaware, which granted Mrs. Biden an Ed.D. in 2007, is deeply connected to her husband. A more exacting, or even minimally self-respecting, university would have directed Mrs. Biden’s paper to the nearest trash receptacle. Jill Biden looks like yet another member of the Biden family who successfully leveraged the family name to obtain things of value that otherwise would have lain far beyond the reach of someone of such meager talents.

It's a national defense catastrophic attack.
More Hacking Attacks Found as Officials Warn of ‘Grave Risk’ to U.S. Government
Minutes after the government statement, President-elect Joseph R. Biden Jr. warned that his administration would impose “substantial costs” on those responsible. President Trump has been silent on the hacking.
They have hacked into the national security agency and the enemy department.
Mr. Biden’s statement said he had instructed his transition team to learn as much as possible about “what appears to be a massive cybersecurity breach affecting potentially thousands of victims.”
“I want to be clear: My administration will make cybersecurity a top priority at every level of government — and we will make dealing with this breach a top priority from the moment we take office,” Mr. Biden said, adding that he plans to impose “substantial costs on those responsible.”
The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency’s warning came days after Microsoft, which produces Windows software and monitors the global network of computers that make use of Windows, took emergency action along with FireEye to halt the communication between the SolarWinds network management software and a command-and-control center that the Russians were using to send instructions to their malware using a so-called kill switch.
That shut off further penetration. But it is of no help to organizations that have already been penetrated because the first software was corrupted in March. And the key line in the warning said that the SolarWinds “supply chain compromise is not the only initial infection vector” that was used to get into federal systems. That suggests other software, also used by the government, has been infected and used for access by foreign spies.
Across federal agencies, the private sector and the utility companies that oversee the power grid, forensic investigators were still trying to unravel the extent of the compromise. But security teams say the relief some felt that they did not use the compromised systems turned to panic on Thursday, as they learned other third-party applications may have been compromised.
Two security experts who work with utility companies said companies were shutting down third-party applications that have deep access to operational systems as a precaution and searching their code for signs of compromise. But to date, they said, it was not clear that grid operators had been compromised by the hackers.
In an interview this week, officials at FireEye said they believed the actual number of targets could be limited to “dozens” out of the 18,000 organizations that used the SolarWinds software. But after Thursday’s alert about other Russian entry points, security experts said they expect the number of victims to grow.

The Energy Department and National Nuclear Security Administration, which maintains the U.S. nuclear weapons stockpile, have evidence that hackers accessed their networks as part of an extensive espionage operation that has affected at least half a dozen federal agencies, officials directly familiar with the matter said.
On Thursday, DOE and NNSA officials began coordinating notifications about the breach to their congressional oversight bodies after being briefed by Rocky Campione, the chief information officer at DOE.

Fatty no one cares nor believes you
Like you and your condo???????/ bwaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!! Dayum you really are insanely jealous as you plod along as a drunk salesman.....!!!!!!!
The hackers have been able to do more damage at FERC than the other agencies, and officials there have evidence of highly malicious activity, the officials said, but did not elaborate.
The officials said that the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, which has been helping to manage the federal response to the broad hacking campaign, indicated to FERC this week that CISA was overwhelmed and might not be able to allocate the necessary resources to respond. DOE will therefore be allocating extra resources to FERC to help investigate the hack, even though FERC is a semi-autonomous agency, the officials said.
Several top officials from CISA, including its former director Christopher Krebs, have either been pushed out by the Trump administration or resigned in recent weeks.
Federal investigators have been combing through networks in recent days to determine what hackers had been able to access and/or steal, and officials at DOE still don’t know whether the attackers were able to access anything, the people said, noting that the investigation is ongoing and they may not know the full extent of the damage “for weeks.”
NNSA is responsible for managing the nation's nuclear weapons, and while it gets the least attention, it takes up the vast majority of DOE's budget. Similarly, the Sandia and Los Alamos National Labs conduct atomic research related to both civil nuclear power and nuclear weapons. The Office of Secure Transportation is tasked with moving enriched uranium and other materials critical for maintaining the nuclear stockpile.
Hackers may have been casting too wide a net when they targeted DOE's Richland Field Office, whose primary responsibility is overseeing the cleanup of the Hanford nuclear waste site in Washington state. During World War II and the Cold War, the U.S. produced two- thirds of its plutonium there, but the site hasn't been active since 1971.
The attack on the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission may have been an effort to disrupt the nation's bulk electric grid. FERC doesn't directly manage any power flows, but it does store sensitive data on the grid that could be used to identify the most disruptive locations for future attacks.

Vice President Pence is going to leave the country, the day after certifying the election of President elect Joe Biden.
He's going to visit several nations.
I suspect he's considering to run for President in 2024. He's been silent since election day.
If he does that, he might be able to push Trump out of the starlight. He's a conservative, who did what most Vice presidents have done. To support the President who had served.
President-elect Biden has reportedly selected Rep. Deb Haaland, D-N.M., as secretary of the interior. If confirmed she would be the first Native American to hold a Cabinet position.
According to a Thursday afternoon report from the Washington Post that was subsequently confirmed by other outlets, Biden has chosen the 60-year-old first-term congresswoman for the post that has authority over millions of acres of public lands and hundreds of national park sites, as well as 326 tribal reservations via the department’s Bureau of Indian Affairs.
Tribal organizations and progressives had been pushing hard for Haaland’s appointment, with more than 50 Democratic members of Congress writing to Biden last month to “strongly recommend” he select the tribal citizen of the Laguna Pueblo.
“She has been a champion for our environment and public lands and has worked tirelessly to improve the nation-to-nation relationship between the United States and Indian tribes,” read the letter. “By selecting her to be your Secretary of the Interior, you can make history by giving Native Americans a seat at the Cabinet table for the first time.”
Well, she appears to be a real red skin, unlike high cheekbones Warren.
The Raiders will probably demolish the Chargers.
Let's ask Nicki Haley

Roger suddenly has an orgasm for a native American doing well. Bobby Jindal and Nicki Haley say so what? Haley might be president one day.

And I hope to god she runs in 2024, she’s awesome
It’s how they are getting around Biden has the first openly gay person on his cabinet, in Buttigieg, when Trump did it with Grenell

Kemp Says His Family Has Received Death Threats
9:04 pm

Aides Talked Trump Out of Bigger Relief Checks
8:05 pm
“White House aides intervened Thursday to prevent President Trump from issuing a statement calling for substantially larger stimulus payments for millions of Americans,” the Washington Post reports.
“On a phone call Thursday afternoon, Trump told allies that he believes stimulus payments in next relief package should be ‘at least’ $1,200 per person and possibly as big as $2,000 per person, the officials said. Congressional leadership is currently preparing a stimulus package that would provide checks of $600 per person.”

The Sorest of Sore Losers
10:09 pm
Susan Glasser: “I know we’ve got used to thinking of Trump as a genius in turning bad news on its head, in creating grievance out of setbacks and then using those grievances to further cement his hold over his Party. I’ve watched him run this play over and over again. I get it. But the alternate way of looking at his post-election behavior is that he is cementing his reputation as the sorest of sore losers.
“Not only that, but he is crying so long and loudly about the unfairness of his loss that he is forcing officials at every level of government, across the country, to take sides—-against him. His frenetic efforts to deny his defeat have simply underscored it. Trump really is leaving office on January 20th, and he really will go out as an impeached and defeated President, forevermore listed in the history books alongside Herbert Hoover and Jimmy Carter and all the other one-termers he disdains. He is now, and will always be, a loser.”
Flynn Calls on Trump to Institute Martial Law
10:05 pm
Former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn, who was recently pardoned by President Donald Trump, told Newsmax that Trump should institute martial law to prevent President-elect Joe Biden from taking office.
Said Flynn: “There is no way in the world we are going to be able to move forward as a nation. He could immediately, on his order, seize every single one of these voting machines, on his order. He could order the, within the swing states, if he wanted to, he could take military capabilities, and he could place those in states and basically rerun an election in each of those states.”
He added: “I mean, it’s not unprecedented. These people are out there talking about martial law like it’s something that we’ve never done. Martial law has been instituted 64 times.”
Trump Mulls Doing Reality TV Again
10:02 pm
As he begins his final weeks in office, President Trump “has mentioned to confidants that he’s thinking about resurrecting The Apprentice or The Celebrity Apprentice reality TV show,” the Daily Beast reports.
“Among his inner orbit of family, political aides, and advisers, it is yet another sign that, despite the president’s public insistence that he won the 2020 election, he recognizes that he has lost and that his ongoing legal crusade to cancel Joe Biden’s victory will come up short.”

It’s time for our annual roundup of the biggest Pinocchios of the year.
Ever since President Trump burst on the political scene in 2015, we have noted that we faced a challenge in not letting him dominate this list of the biggest falsehoods. The president is a serial exaggerator without parallel in U.S. politics. He not only consistently makes false claims, but also repeats them, in some cases hundreds of times, even though they have been proved wrong.
In 2019, Trump took seven of the 13 spots. He earned six spots in 2018 and 2017, five in 2016 and three in 2015. Even so, we cheated a bit because in some cases Trump’s false claims on a particular subject were so numerous and varied that we created all-around categories.
The explosion of false and misleading statements from Trump during his presidency is well documented in our database. We have struggled to keep up with his torrent of falsehoods during the final weeks of the campaign, when he barnstormed the country making 600 to 700 false or misleading claims a week. The next update will show he crossed the 25,000 mark by mid-October.
AD
So in this remarkable year, we have given up trying to keep Trump to about half of the list. In 2020, Trump will earn seven of 10 spots, with three all-around categories — his false claims about the coronavirus pandemic, the U.S. election and the violence that erupted after the death of George Floyd in police custody. President-elect Joe Biden earns two spots, while the last slot goes to a GOP hopeful in a Senate race.

Rep. Deb Haaland (D., N.M.), a freshman congresswoman and one of two Native-American women in Congress, accused the high school students of "hate" and "intolerance" in January 2019 after a selectively edited video clip of an encounter between pro-life student activists and counterprotesters in Washington, D.C., went viral.
"This Veteran put his life on the line for our country," Haaland said of Nathan Phillips, a Native-American activist who confronted the Covington Catholic students. "The students' display of blatant hate, disrespect, and intolerance is a signal of how common decency has decayed under this administration."

Phillips entered the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves on May 20, 1972.[3] During his time in the military, he was trained as an anti-tank missileman and then served on active duty as a refrigerator technician in Nebraska and California; he was shown as absent without leave three times. He was not deployed to Vietnam or anywhere overseas.[3][9][10] On May 5, 1976, Phillips was discharged as an E-1 private following disciplinary issues.

The Russians got into the system and the lame duck President has remained silent because he loves Vladimir Putin's asshole
Yet we had the most secure election in history, right Alky?
President Biden will have to clean up the government systems.
Now it has come home for me.
The outgoing president is now making lame-duck appointments to federal advisory panels like the Defense Business Board, which is supposed to be an apolitical board of advisors to the Secretary of Defense. The outgoing president fired a number of highly-qualified board members and installed political loyalists.
A lesser-known but equally destructive move was his appointment of Kellyanne Conway to the Air Force Academy Board of Visitors, an advisory board for the USAFA superintendent. She has zero qualifications!
While I acknowledge the president’s authority to place anyone he chooses on any of these advisory boards, I am horrified by the message his appointment of Conway sends: that a purveyor of “alternative facts,” as she once described them, should be placed in a position of trust and influence at an institution responsible for teaching future generations of military leaders about honor, integrity, and character. It’s a cynical act of defiance from a president whose lack of character contributed to his defeat.
How can President-elect Biden restore truth and ethics in government? He should begin by expressing his concern about Conway’s appointment and reversing it as soon as the law permits. If he doesn’t, I fear USAFA, that shining city on the mountain, will join the ethical rubble left in his predecessor’s wake.
If Biden really wants to “build back better,” he must do the same for the other “loyalists” whose lame-duck appointments served only to perpetuate the DNA of a presidency built on lies. Our new president would thus send a new message: America will no longer — and hopefully will never again — be governed by people who intentionally disregard the ethical principles and norms upon which our nation was built.
Steven J. Lepper is a retired Air Force major general. He served from 2010 to 2014 as Deputy Judge Advocate General of the Air Force. He was also Deputy Legal Counsel to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the senior “crisis communicator” for the Department of the Air Force.
This doesn't mean that the election system was compromised. Read the full story about it.
It doesn't mention the election system.
Put down the PBR
Yet we had the most secure election in history, right Alky?

New text messages released Thursday show FBI officials spied on a Fox News executive over the course of the Crossfire Hurricane investigation that targeted President Donald Trump as a secret Russian agent who illegally stole the election from Hillary Clinton in 2016. The FBI surveilled and recorded a phone call between former Trump campaign foreign policy adviser George Papadopoulos and an unnamed vice president at Fox News, according to a text message sent to fired former FBI official Peter Strzok just weeks before Trump was inaugurated as president in 2017.
Agents were targeting former Trump campaign foreign policy advisor George Papadopoulos, who later pleaded guilty to making false statements to FBI agents during the Russian collusion investigation. The FBI used the Foreign Agents Registration Act, or FARA, as a legal pretext to investigate and spy on Papadopoulos, as well as former White House National Security Adviser Michael Flynn, former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort, and former Trump affiliate Carter Page.
“I know you’re not point on this anymore, but [George Papadopoulos] got a call from the VP at Fox News yesterday, who advised that the government was conducting ‘checks’ on him a few months back,” an unidentified individual whose name is redacted in the report texted to Strzok on January 12, 2017. “I haven’t listed to the exact audio, but I’m guess[ing] that’s the FARA checks that we did with DOJ on our 4 main guys; especially given the article that you pushed yesterday.”
Neither the individual who sent the message to Strzok nor the Fox News executive was named in any of the text messages released on Thursday by Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, and Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wisc. Strzok was fired from the FBI in 2018 after text messages surfaced showing that he used the Russia collusion investigations as an “insurance policy” to get rid of Trump in the event he became president. The FBI named its investigation of Papadopoulos “Crossfire Typhoon.”
Because the Obama DOJ never received a warrant to spy on Papadopoulos, it is likely that the FBI used a so-called National Security Letter to spy on Papadopoulos and Fox News. By using a National Security Letter, a demand sent to telecommunications firms to provide communications information about a specific federal target, Obama’s DOJ and FBI were able to avoid legal requirements to receive a court-approved warrant to secretly spy on an American citizen.
Papadopoulos did not respond to The Federalist’s request for details about the phone call.
The Obama administration previously targeted former Fox News Washington Correspondent James Rosen in 2010, falsely claiming the Fox reporter was a potential terrorist co-conspirator in order to track Rosen’s movements, telephone records, and personal e-mails. According to Fox News, the Obama White House even seized records containing the phone numbers of Rosen’s parents over the course of the federal inquisition into Rosen. The Obama DOJ falsely accused Rosen of violating the Espionage Act, suggesting that he was a traitor to the United States in order to get access to his phone calls and e-mails.
Although members of the corporate media repeatedly claimed that Trump’s criticism of journalists on Twitter constituted a violent attack on the First Amendment and the free press, no corporate media outlets have criticized the Obama administration for secretly recording phone calls with a cable news network executive without even bothering to seek a warrant.

alky, ALL of your predictions suck so fucking bad i wouldn't trust you to predict tomorrow's date.
Lol.
To fuck up actual games played and their real outcome is priceless Alky.
The Supreme Court has saved the country from the lame duck President who used the following tactics to stage a coup.
IT’S A DIVERSIONARY TACTIC.
The use of federal forces could be an attempt by the administration to shift the narrative away from the troubled economy and the failures of their COVID-19 response—classic diversionary war logic applied domestically. Media coverage rarely changes what people think, but it does shape what they think about.
Trump’s approval ratings and election prospects have been hobbled by strong dissatisfaction with his handling of the pandemic, even among Republicans. If news coverage shifts towards issues where Trump scores higher, such as “law and order,” it could boost his standing. Insider accounts suggest Trump is indeed eager for heavy TV coverage of the crackdown.
IT’S MEANT TO DRUM UP HIS BASE AND DE-LEGITIMIZE THE OPPOSITION.
Whether or not diversion is a goal, the choice of where to crackdown is no coincidence. These interventions are targeting Democratic-led cities, not Republican-controlled areas. Federal forces were also conspicuously absent when armed right-wing protesters occupied the Michigan Capitol building. And they’re being deployed against people protesting police abuses, veneration of Confederate monuments, and systemic racism. This is likely meant to activate racial resentment and fear among Trump’s older, whiter, suburban and rural base to keep them motivated despite the pandemic.
The message is that, while “Re-open America” protesters were simply exercising their rights, Black Lives Matter and related protesters are not part of the normal democratic political process—but outside of it—and therefore require forceful suppression. The words used to describe these protests—terrorism, siege, chaos—are designed to de-legitimize their cause.
Analysis shows that voters who chose Obama in 2012 and Trump in 2016—who were overwhelmingly white—hold high levels of racial resentment. What made the difference between the two elections is that the 2016 campaign brought identity issues to the forefront whereas both Obama and Romney emphasized economic policy in 2012. Jarring as it may be to hear the president speak of “American carnage,” call a US city “worse than Afghanistan,” or claim that Democrats will “destroy the suburbs,” such rhetoric resonates with a significant group of voters.
Trump is openly using this narrative of fear in the run-up to the election, claiming: “you won’t be safe in Joe Biden’s America.” It may seem odd for the incumbent to advertise scenes of mayhem happening under his own watch, but the message is that violence by leftists and racial minorities is the natural state of American cities, kept in check only by forceful imposition of “law and order.” A federal response that escalates protests plays into this strategy. Trump’s rhetoric is reminiscent of autocratic leaders during the 2011 Arab Spring uprising who tried to present their citizens with a binary choice: “Me, or the chaos.”
Political polarization makes this strategy all the more appealing. Negative partisanship—disliking the other party as an end in itself—is so strong that Trump can help himself merely by attacking Democratic mayors and governors. The crackdown is also meant to imply that Democratic officials are incapable of maintaining “peace” and “order” (highly racialized terms), or perhaps even deliberately intend to spread the “chaos” of the cities to the suburbs.
IT’S A TRIAL BALLOON FOR ELECTION INTERFERENCE.
It is also possible that Trump is testing the waters to see how much push back he would face for deploying federal agents to deal with “unrest” associated with the upcoming election.
The president’s recent tweets about delaying the vote past November 3rd have reignited concern that he will try to interfere with the election. While there are a number of ways he might do this, it is a risky strategy. He and his advisors may prefer to test the likely effects on voters, members of Congress, and federal agents beforehand.
Several potential forms of “legal” election tampering are of concern, including suppressing minorities and the poor through voter ID laws, closing polling stations, and forcing in-person voting during a pandemic.
But the deployments in Portland and elsewhere raise concerns of the potential for a more insidious type of election interference. What if there are protests near or associated with the election? Could the president use this as an excuse to send in federal law enforcement, or possibly even troops, to “restore law and order” at the expense of closing the polling stations, for example?
What if the president avoids direct interference on election day, but throws doubt on the validity of the election by claiming rampant fraud, foreign meddling, or other irregularities? If this provoked further protest and counter-protest, he could then send in federal forces to put down antagonistic protests and protect those supporting him. This could be designed to generate calls to re-do the election, or simply to create significant division in the country over the legitimacy of a Biden victory, making transition and governance difficult.
In any such case, a trial run would help to determine the public reaction and the agencies that would have to carry it out. Does the president’s base like it? Do Congressional Republicans push back? Do the agencies involved shirk or hedge? Can he rely on the military?
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR THE FUTURE OF AMERICAN DEMOCRACY?
Diversionary tactics are difficult to pull off and can backfire. Polls show Trump’s handling of the protests is almost as unpopular as the COVID response. Even voters sympathetic to the Trump administration are unhappy with the brutal crackdown, and it certainly is not broadening his appeal beyond his base.
If testing the waters for November is part of the calculus, the results are mixed. While federal agents have shown little reluctance to use violence against unarmed demonstrators and to arrest people without probable cause, some in DHS are worried about the optics. Congressional Republicans have been largely silent on this issue, but pushed back against the idea of postponing the election.
Regardless of their effect on the election, these tactics can have long-term consequences for American democracy. The creation of an armed, centralized internal security force essentially accountable only to the president is an ominous sign, as these types of forces are most often found in authoritarian regimes. The open challenging of norms of federalism and subsidiarity is troubling. And the fact that this goes well beyond normal rhetorical criticism of political opponents into delegitimizing, and possibly even criminalizing, them is corrosive to democratic governance. Democracy depends in part on people’s ability to agree to a process for determining the rules, precisely because they cannot agree on what the rules should be. But if the faction in power instead chooses to define those who disagree as outside the political process, there is no longer democracy. There is absolutism.

LOL. AOC just got smacked down HARD in pursuit of a committee assignment -
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced appointments to several powerful committees on Thursday, most notably the selection of Rep. Kathleen Rice over fellow New Yorker Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on the House Committee on Energy and Commerce.
The New York lawmakers had been jockeying for a seat on the panel, according to several media reports, and lobbying to colleagues behind the scenes for weeks, Politico reported.
The committee oversees a broad range of issues, including consumer protection, food and drug safety, public health, health care policy and climate issues.
Politico reported that there was a contentious private meeting on Thursday at the Steering and Policy Committee, where there was a secret ballot to vote on the two candidates. The news outlet said the vote was 46-13.

Biden Says Targeting His Son Is ‘Foul Play’
Battlegrounds Had More Election Disinformation
7:41 am
Swing states had four times as much election disinformation in 2020 as non-swing states. Pennyslyvania, Michigan, Georgia, and Florida experienced the biggest disinformation deluges, in that order, according to MIT Technology Review.
AND YET BIDEN WON
Drug Overdoses Hit New High
7:39 am
An estimated 81,000 people died from a drug overdose between June 2019 and May 2020, the highest number ever recorded in a 12-month period, Axios reports.
Wrong Direction
7:36 am
A new Economist/YouGov poll finds just 18% of Americans believe the country is headed in the right direction.
“Republicans have been bullish on the topic for the last four years: typically, 60% or more believed the country was headed in the right direction. This optimistic assessment remained high even during the coronavirus pandemic. The week after the election, however, that number was cut by more than half – from 60% to 25%. It remains low – only 29% of Republicans this week say the country is on the right track.
“But Democrats are worried, too, even though their presidential ticket was elected. This week, one in five Democrats (20%) think the country is on the right track. Though low, it is higher than it has been in the last few years.”
Trump Fights for a Job He’s Not Doing
6:38 am
Maeve Reston: “Trump ran for president pretending he was the consummate dealmaker, the chief executive who could make things happen with a snap of his fingers. He will go down in history as a president who worsened the grief and tragedy of the most consequential pandemic in 100 years by being contemptuous of masks and the safety precautions designed by his own administration — a man incapable of empathy, who chose to remain cocooned in his White House bubble at a time when leadership would have mattered.
“For weeks now, Trump has spent most of his time plotting how to nullify the results of President-elect Joe Biden’s November victory as he has fleeced his supporters to pay for a string of ill-conceived lawsuits that were tossed out of court by some of his own judicial appointees. When those efforts failed, he began looking ahead to January 6 when a joint session of Congress meets to formally count the Electoral College results — seeing another opportunity to try and thwart the democratic process.”
HE WILL FAIL AT THAT TOO, OF COURSE.

Why Would Biden Put a Republican in His Cabinet?
DON'T BOTHER, SAYS BERNSTEIN
McConnell’s Stunning Admission
11:15 am
Dan Pfeiffer: “On a recent conference call, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell made the case for making a deal on COVID relief to his caucus of conspiracy mongering, COVID truthing plutocrats. McConnell didn’t argue that 5 million more Americans would slip into poverty if unemployment insurance expired. He didn’t persuade them with stories of local restaurants and small businesses in dire need of loans as bridges to our post-vaccine future. Instead, McConnell — as politicians often do — personalized the pain and suffering of the pandemic and recession through the stories of two individuals:
“Kelly and David are getting hammered” said McConnell.
“It’s definitely gross that McConnell cares more about keeping power than keeping millions of Americans out of poverty. However, we shouldn’t gloss over the fact that McConnell, a shrewd political operator, has decided that the only way Republicans can win in Georgia is for the GOP to sign off on the government sending money to people in need. This stunning admission has implications for how Democrats can make progress in the Biden era as well as for our 2022 political strategy.”
Pentagon Halts Briefings with Biden Transition
11:03 am
“Acting Defense Secretary Chris Miller ordered a Pentagon-wide halt to cooperation with the transition of President-elect Biden, shocking officials across the Defense Department,” Axios reports.
THIS COMES CLOSE TO TREASON.

The results are a incompetent reaction to the covid-19 pandemic. We have recordings of his decisions to downplay the dangers of the virus, to keep the stock market happy. We have lost more lives than in World War two, in 9 months! We are the 4th largest country and have the largest number of infections.
But we are in the worst economic situation since 1932.
The Russians have gotten into our national security systems!
And the truthers love his mushroom and!
We have lost more lives than in World War two, in 9 months!

now alky, why would you choose to be a despicable LIAR once again and insert a comma where one did not exist???
1: My first comment was based upon what I heard. I should have checked out the numbers of deaths in comparison to World War Two . But we still have suffered more deaths than necessary, if our President had done his job.
2: I misread the commas.
407,321 671,278 is correct.

The Charges were defeated last week."
Nope , they beat The Falcons , 20 to 17.
Damn Roger you even get past played games wrong.
Mr. Donald Trump,
It is quite amazing that you have been able to continue fleecing your supporters out of their money even though you lost the election by over seven (7) Million Votes.
It is also amazing that even after losing every re-count, even after losing every State Lawsuit, even after losing every Federal Lawsuit, and even after losing twice in the Supreme Court, your supporters still send you their money.
Every State has Certified the results of the election. All of the Electoral Votes have been cast, and Joe Biden has been declared the President-Elect. However, in spite of all that, your supporters still believe you when you tell them it is not over.
No one can deny the fact that you are the Greatest Con-Artist to ever walk the planet. Even knowing that you have the ability to put 75% of the money they donate directly into your pocket to use anyway you wish, does not stop them from sending you money.
Now we all understand what you meant on February 24, 2016 when you said "I Love The Poorly Educated".
However, while I can understand why the "Poorly Educated" might be susceptible to falling for your Con-Job, what baffles me the most, is the fact that many people who I always regarded as being extremely intelligent, have fallen for your Con-Job as well. It is these people who probably find it the most difficult to admit that they fell for a Con-Artist like yourself.
I must concede the fact that your ability to Con people out of their money, and even risk their lives attending your Covid-19 Super-Spreader events is remarkable.
I also concede are am aware of the fact that your ability to damage America will not stop simply because you have been voted out of office. All we can hope to do is try to contain the damage you will continue to inflect on America.
You have certainly made Russia and Putin very proud.
Sincerely,
Dennis R. Hill - American Citizen, Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, and American taxpayer for 54 years.
