Now that a Covid outbreak has taken place within one of the NY-22 county election boards, that "could" mean that there "might" be issues with any possible ordered recounts (if the Judge decides that a recount is necessary). So without even any prompting from Brindisi team, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi has offered that the House may "step in" - which is likely code for "vote to seat the Democrat" even if the "Republican is certified the winner".
As stated, the last time this happened was 35 years ago, and there were issues with what was seen as a quick certification of the Republican. Even though the Republican ended up winning a state ordered recount, the Democratic House chose not to seat him until they had conducted their own recount. This took until May before the House voted to seat the "Democrat" who had originally lost. This particular incident led to a walkout of many House members and some seriously bad feelings for some time, which is part of why it has not been used again to try to "change" results of close elections.
But after having their clock cleaned last month, Pelosi seems to be betting that in this hyper-partisan environment that they will have cover for changing the election results in one or two races. But that begs the question? Why stop there? In California 25 (where the Democrat just conceded) - that race was won by only 422 votes? How about Utah 4, where it was only about 3500?
Where do you draw the line between a certified election victory that you accept and a certified election victory you reject (because you didn't like the result)?

The planet just had its hottest November on record, and 2020 may end up beating 2016 for the ignominious title of the warmest calendar year.
Scientists have linked most, if not all, of the global warming in recent decades to human emissions of greenhouse gases.
The numbers come from the Copernicus Climate Change Service, a program of the European Commission, which is the first of several temperature tracking agencies to report temperature data for November and the first 11 months of the year.
According to Copernicus scientists, global average temperatures during November were 1.4 degrees (0.77 Celsius) above 1981-2010 levels, beating the previous warmest November by a large margin. Australia had its hottest November, which featured multiple severe heat waves, and persistently above-average temperatures continued in Siberia and the Arctic. Meanwhile, Norway, Sweden and England set national records for their hottest November, Copernicus stated in data released Monday.

What awaits Trump, after the season of election fraud TV ends on January 20, is serious legal exposure. He will make sure the GOP pays a price at each twist and turn of his coming prosecutions for various and sundry crimes. From obstruction of justice, to tax fraud, and so much more. Trump’s legal morass will be a chronic story in the years to come. Republicans will be asked to comment on each sordid discovery and ruling, and anyone unwilling to zealously defy the facts and fight back will be punished.
He will imply a right to revolution.
Republicans will have to soon accept Trump isn’t actually trying to be president again, or lead or unite a party. He simply intends to dominate and there is never enough submission. The next few years for Trump will be all about scalps.
