This is classic!

After demanding the President was nuts for predicting a vaccine by end of year, the media now is upset that the pace of delivery is too slow

Pace of vaccinations falls short of estimates, prompting alerts
As recently as mid-December, the Trump administration touted an ambitious goal: 20 million COVID-19 vaccinations by the end of the year.
But now, days before the end of the year, it appears that the actual number of vaccinations will fall significantly short of that mark.
A Centers for Disease Control and Prevention tracker shows only about 2 million people have been vaccinated so far. That figure is likely an undercount, given there is a lag in reporting the data, but it is still well short of 20 million.

Ironically the CDC was one of the sources the media kept relying on by suggesting that the vaccine would not be available until summer or possibly next fall. Now the same media is upset that a vaccine that is several months ahead of schedule might not hit the end of year mark in vaccinations?

What possible "alert" could we have in being several months "ahead" of schedule?

Whether we end up with 3 million, 5 million or 20 million, however many people actually vaccinated by the end of the year, it will be exactly that many "more" than the CDC, experts, and media speculated that it would be. The goal may have been ambitious and perhaps having such an ambitious goal will get more people vaccinated faster than otherwise would have happened.

Much of the problems appears to be once again about regulations. There are apparently many private facilities (including current Covid testing facilities) that could and would be willing to take on vaccinations. But the vaccination process is being run almost exclusively through hospitals, which might be fairly prudent until we get a better understanding of the side effects.

While the President might have been overly optimistic in his figure. I believe it is better to be optimistic, than to suggest to the American public that a quarter million Americans were going to die in the month of December. Scaring people with baseless claims of massive deaths, seems way more irresponsible than giving people hope. But that is just me.

The Twilight Zone will be canceled in 21 days.

When the show ends, you won't have to make a fool of yourself anymore.

Biden said that by inauguration day, we will have lost 400,000 people.

It looks like he may have underestimated the number of deaths.

President elect Joe Biden blasted the Trump administration on it's failing distribution of the virus vaccine!

The Trump administration’s vaccine distribution efforts are off to a slower start than officials had projected after a number of unanticipated snags, highlighting the logistical complexity of the herculean effort.

Officials working on Operation Warp Speed said earlier this month they planned to have 20 million people vaccinated by the end of the year, and in October Health and Human Service Secretary Alex Azar said the U.S. would distribute 100 million doses of the vaccine by year’s end.

Instead, the federal government said Monday that 11.5 million doses of the vaccine have been sent to the states so far and only about 2 million people have gotten their first dose, according to data compiled by NBC News from federal and state agencies.

At the current rate of around a million shots a week, the U.S. will come up far short of projections by Trump administration officials that every person who wants a shot would be able to get one by the spring, said Drs. Celine Gounder, a member of Biden's Covid-19 advisory board, and Ashish Jha, the dean of the Brown University School of Public Health. It will require millions of shots being administered every day for months in order for the country to return to some sense of normalcy by the spring, they said.

Brett Giroir, the administration's testing czar, said that by the end of the week the federal government will have distributed 15.6 million doses of the vaccine to states and another 4.2 million next week. He said the number of people who have received the vaccine is likely greater because of a lag time in states reporting data. Classic blaming others!

"It has only been 15 days since the first shot got in people's arms so we do expect that to ramp up, the state plans will ramp up over the next week or two, we expected that to accelerate," Giroir said Tuesday on MSNBC.

Trump should get credit for the vaccine speed. But remember private companies developed the vaccine in record speed.

The Wall Street Journal’s very boring & incoherent Editorial fails to mention my big & easy wins in Texas, Florida, Ohio, Iowa & many other states that the WSJ & other joke polls said I would lose. Also, they fail to mention the fact that I got many Republican Senators elected that, quite frankly, didn’t have much of a chance, like 7, 8 or 9. The Presidential Election was Rigged with hundreds of thousands of ballots mysteriously flowing into Swing States very late at night as everyone thought the election was easily won by me. There were many other acts of fraud and irregularities as well. STAY TUNED!

His hometown newspapers have betrayed him! Lolololololololololol

Many Believe QAnon and Other Conspiracy Theories
10:55 am
A new NPR-Ipsos poll finds 40% of Americans believe the coronavirus was made in a lab in China even though there is no evidence for this.

And one-third of Americans believe that voter fraud helped Joe Biden win the 2020 election, despite the fact that courts, election officials and the Justice Department have found no evidence of widespread fraud that could have changed the outcome.

This one is particularly bonkers:
The poll asked respondents whether they believe that “a group of Satan-worshipping elites who run a child sex ring are trying to control our politics and media” — the false allegation at the heart of QAnon.

While only 17% said it was true, another 37% said they didn’t know.

A new JMC Analytics poll in Georgia finds Democrats leading in the two Senate runoffs:

Jon Ossoff (D) 50%, David Perdue (R) 43%Raphael Warnock (D) 53%, Kelly Loeffler (R) 44%

A new Trafalgfar Group poll shows closer races:

Ossoff 50%, Perdue 48%Warnock 50%, Loeffler 49%

Nate Silver: Why a split verdict in Georgia isn’t that crazy.

Hawley Will Challenge Electoral College Results
11:14 am
Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) said that he will object during Congress’s counting of the Electoral College vote on January 6, becoming the first GOP senator to back the effort by House conservatives, The Hill reports.

The decision by Hawley would ensure a debate and vote in the House and Senate on the Electoral College results.

OH NO! BIDEN WILL BE DEFEATED!
