A dozen FBI affidavits supporting charges against the more than 200 defendants show rioters engaged in advance planning on social media sites. The planning included training, casing sites, identifying commanders on scene, and requests for donations of cash, as well as combat and communication gear.
More than a half dozen of the suspects are now charged with conspiracy to commit violence for actions predating the Jan. 6 riots. The early actions identified in court documents date back to November, with planning and rhetoric accelerating after Christmas, court records show.
Much of the Trump defense case has been basic legal arguments, as much as they are political or logical arguments. The argument being that nobody has been cited for an insurrection and the words from the Trump speech do not rise to the level that the USSC has consistently provided for an incitement charge to be made.
But if, in fact, the events of Jan 6th had been preplanned, then they were certainly not because of any incitement. The argument that Trump's speech on Jan 6th caused people to riot can hardly be taken seriously if the riots took place because of pre-planning from specific individuals.
There is no such case to be made that a bunch of people (mostly anarchists and instigators) made a specific plan to storm the Capital building "because" they were "incited to do so". Incitement, by all legal and logical definition is a heat of the moment sort of thing. You call for specific action during a speech, and people immediately go and commit a crime. That is incitement.
Our legal system can hardly hold people legally accountable for what others might be "motivated" to do because of what another person believes or stands for. Paint that broad brush and we wouldn't have enough prison space to keep up with the demand for everyone and anyone going to jail for incitement.
At the end of the day, the Democrats want to impeach the President because he believes that there was election fraud and because he is willing to openly claim as much. This is little different than plans to censor politicians who talk about election fraud, or media personalities demanding that Republicans disavow the arguments for election fraud, or for social media to ban people for bringing up election fraud.
This is just censorship at the core. A fascist plot to end dissent from the liberal elitist beliefs.

WALL STREET JOURNAL:
Capitol Riot Warnings Weren’t Acted On
WHY NOT? WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THAT?
9:30 am
“The elaborate national security network set up after the 9/11 terrorist attacks to identify and thwart threats failed ahead of last month’s Capitol riot, as law enforcement didn’t act on intelligence about potential violence and prevent the assault,” the Wall Street Journal reports.
“Offices spread across the country that share intelligence among federal, state and local law enforcement pointed out alarming online discussions about weapons in the days before the Jan. 6 rally in Washington. A Federal Bureau of Investigation field office reported a rallying call for war and the sharing of maps of the Capitol. The Department of Homeland Security warned about the heightened potential for violence in the rally’s run-up, though mentioned no specific threat for Jan. 6.
“While the information was shared, this multipoint warning system broke down, failing to generate sufficient follow-up, as officials spotted and dismissed these signals while missing others entirely.”
Sounds like Trump knew what was building and tried to take advantage of it and stop the counting and overthrow the election.
He lit the fuse and when it went off at the Capitol, he was absolutely delighted, dancing for joy.
Convict him!

Actually he probably just finished removing his head from Goddard's ass and copied it over here.
I thought Nancy Pelosi was in charge of security. If there was warning why didn't she act ?
Why was additional 10,000 federal troops that President Trump had offered not accepted ???
The Washington DC mayor and speaker Pelosi have much to answer for.
If the MSM ever bothered asking.
Yeah everything was preplanned by trump....he baited those assholes for months with claims of voter fraud from the day states started sending out ballots......BWAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!! And fucking daddy has more in common with a flea than a thinking citizen!!!!!!
Oh, and the "rumor" has it that these antifa related groups were set to riot if Trump had prevailed. They were told to stand down after Biden "won". Probably why the DC mayor and Pelosi didn't want National Guard around.
Why were the Democrats playing out war game scenarios before the election ???
and putting up razor wire after
BANANA REPUBLIC
The Wall Street Journal has joined the deep state department.
Congress (not the White House) is responsible for Capital Building security and according to pretty much everyone, both Congressional leadership and the Capital Police were not only notified, but offered help (which was refused).
It begs the question?
Why would Congressional leadership CHOOSE to ignore these warnings and then turn around and "pretend" that the riots were not "preplanned" as they were warned... but rather a spur of the moment "incitement" from the President's speech that day.
Looks a lot like a case of cover your ass... or perhaps they were possibly even hoping to see a capital day riot so they could blame Trump and the GOP for their own failures to address it.
Speaking of the law. I completely agree with Chief Justice Roberts and the conservative majority.
PASADENA, Calif. (CNS) — Pasadena's Harvest Rock Church held an indoor church service Sunday, two days after winning a legal victory from the U.S. Supreme Court, which granted a partial injunction against California's coronavirus-related prohibition against indoor worship services.
"It's not just our First Amendment rights but our Biblical mandate ]to worship in person]," senior pastor Che Ahn told Sunday's congregation.
What You Need To KnowPasadena-based Harvest Rock Church has announced plans to resume indoor worship services Sunday after winning a legal victory from the U.S. Supreme Court
The Supreme Court granted a partial injunction against California's coronavirus-related prohibition against indoor worship services
The ruling allowed state restrictions on crowd size, singing and chanting to remain in place
In accordance with the ruling, Gov. Gavin Newsom's office said it would issue a revised public health order for indoor church services
"You could [worship] virtually, I guess, but that's not relational, it's not personal. ... We believe you're adults, you're responsible. We believe in freedom. We wouldn't be suing the governor if we didn't believe in freedom."
On a 6-3 vote late Friday, the high court cited the Constitution's protection of the free exercise of religion and ruled that "regulations like these violate the First Amendment unless the State can show they are the least restrictive means of achieving a compelling government interest."
The ruling allowed state restrictions on crowd size — 25% of capacity — singing and chanting to remain in place.
Trump was President and how strange that such dire warnings went unacted upon. How strange that certain Pentagon authorities were so reluctant to act, even when asked to. How strange.
Freedom of speech does not include freedom to cry fire in a crowded theater or to cry fire to a worked up crowd and send them on what they thought was the President's clear message to go to the Capitol and stop the counting of the votes and thus overthrow what he told them (and they believed) was a rigged and fraudulent election.
Speaker Nancy Pelosi should have a 1/6 investigation into why both Congressional leadership and the Capital Police were not only notified by the ex President on his order.

Excellent question
Gets to the heart of the matter but goes against the media narrative that Trump's call for a peaceful march to protest a clearly fraudulent election was what incited violence.
It begs the question?
The real question lil Schitty is why you blame everyfucking body in DC except trump???? Yeah some thing is amiss....but did the congress actually think these assholes would riot like they did????? I surely did not, but not surprised to the violence the trump slurpers exhibited and the amount of baiting trump did in the months before the insurrection to mobilize the idiots of the right like you!!!!!

Keep missing the larger point, huh Reverend?
The FBI and others WARNED the Congressional leaders and the Capital police about possible issues. The White House is not responsible for the security of the Capital building. The people who dropped the ball were not the FBI and others who warned them, it was the Congressional leaders and Capital police who ignored the warnings (and choose not to act).
Just as if the FBI or other security official found evidence of a plot to attack a State Capital building. They would notify the State and State police in question, offer whatever assistance that they could offer. If the State officials refused that help... you don't blame the President.
Seems like you want to say that Trump is responsible because the people under his charge warned others and those others did nothing?
And now the "pastor" is speaking for the rioters. He knows what they believed and felt, or so he says.

Yellen Predicts Full Employment If Stimulus Is Passed
11:00 am
Treasury secretary Janet Yellen said the United States could reach full employment next year if Congress passes President Joe Biden’s $1.9 trillion stimulus package, the Financial Times reports.
ONWARD AND UPWARD WITH GOOD JOE BIDEN!
Lol@James
Try harder to not be the insufferable little prick you show us everyday in every way.
You are clearly the "least among us".
That is why I explain , in great detail things to you.
Public opinion, though, does show a majority supported Trump’s impeachment — 53 percent, on average, said they supported Trump being removed from office before he left the White House on Jan. 20.
That’s more support than in 2019, when only around 48 percent said the same when Trump was acquitted by the Senate on both articles of impeachment: charges of abuse of power and obstruction of Congress after pressuring Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky to investigate now-President Joe Biden and his son Hunter.
However, as was true in 2019, there is a slight difference between support for Trump’s impeachment, which takes place in the House of Representatives, and support for his conviction in the Senate — the step that would have removed him from office, were he still there, and could lead to him being barred from running for federal office again. Right now, recent polls show that support for conviction sits at about 50 percent; that 3-percentage-point difference in support is similar to the difference in 2019, when support for removal hovered just marginally below support for impeachment throughout the process.
Interestingly, though, while support for conviction is lower than support for Trump’s impeachment, there is some evidence more Americans support barring Trump from holding future political office: 55 percent overall back this, according to a FiveThirtyEight average of 13 polls. And as you can see in the table below, this is true among both Democrats (88 percent support barring Trump from office, compared to 85 percent who support conviction) and Republicans (where those numbers are 20 and 13 percent, respectively).
Many see barring Trump from office as the priority
Share of Americans by partisan affiliation who support convicting Trump and who support barring him from running for federal office, according to a FiveThirtyEight average of polls weighted by quality, recency and sample size
But despite public support for it, barring Trump from office probably isn’t an option. Trump would likely need to be convicted first before senators could vote on barring him from running for federal office. And since 45 Senate Republicans have already voted that the trial is unconstitutional, 67 senators voting to convict Trump seems like a long shot.
And as the last impeachment process taught us, opinions on something this politically polarized don’t easily shift. The initial response to the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol may have briefly given the impression that things could be different, but with Republican senators now largely refusing to entertain the possibility of impeachment, and House members like Rep. Liz Cheney under fire for their vote in support of impeachment, any potential momentum from that event seems to be well and truly quashed.
The loyalists are still in charge
Roger, Bidenomics is on the "clock".

*Up to 16 hours per side for presentations starting Wednesday at 12 p.m. ET.

It happened during Trump's administration.
So it doesn't matter if the Administration portion in all of this (The Pentagon and FBI) were on the ball, warned Congressional leaders and Capital Police...
and Congressional Leaders and Capital Police didn't do anything?
You still blame those who were on the ball, had the information, provided the warnings, offered help... rather than those who refused to heed the warnings and take the help. Apparently Trump is "personally" responsible to do Pelosi's job and the job of the Capital police.
Got it.

THE LEFT-WING PLOT TO MISINFORM OUR CHILDREN
I wrote here and here about the promulgation of new Social Studies standards for K-12 public education in Minnesota. Under the direction of far-left Governor Tim Walz, a committee representing various left-wing pressure groups is trying to completely revamp what we teach our children about, among other things, world and U.S. history. My organization has taken the lead in opposing this effort, and you can read the basics here.
Today, my colleague Kathy Kersten has a great op-ed in the Star Tribune on the proposed standards. You should read the whole thing for a horrifying exposé of how the Left plans to brainwash the next generation of Americans, as the same thing is going on across the country. Here are some excerpts:
By 2022, as your first-grader is learning that two plus two is four, the Minnesota Department of Education intends to mandate that she also learn to recognize “stereotypes,” “biased speech,” and “injustice at the institutional or systemic level.”
Your middle schooler will be drilled in how his identity is a function of his skin color.
Your high schooler will be required to explain how Europeans invented “whiteness” and that America’s 19th-century westward expansion was the shameful product of “whiteness, Christianity and capitalism.”
***
If the new standards are adopted, the next generation of Minnesota citizens will be not only uninformed — but scandalously misinformed — about our nation’s history and democratic institutions. They will, however, be programmed to become the next generation of “woke” social activists, having spent their public-school years immersed in the lingo and thought world of the progressive left.
***
George Washington and D-Day rate no mention, though they were highlighted in earlier versions of the standards. Abraham Lincoln and the Battle of Gettysburg are omitted, but students study partus sequitur ventrem — the legal principle adopted in Virginia in 1662 that a child followed the slave or free status of its mother.
World history from classical Greece and Rome to World Wars I and II — a major focus of the current and original 2004 standards — has been virtually eliminated. In its place, for example, as young people study “where buildings can and cannot be built” in the U.S., they will learn about “feng shui” — a pseudoscientific Chinese practice that Merriam-Webster defines as configuring a site or structure to “harmonize with the spiritual forces that inhabit it.”
***
He's a Koolaid addict coo cooooo
Indoctrination in identity politics under these standards would start in kindergarten, where 5-year-olds will “identify surface and deep characteristics of different ways of being (identity).” Fourth-graders are coached on how one’s “identity” and “biases influence decisions about how to use a space.” Seventh-graders are exhorted to “define race and ethnicity from different perspectives and make connections to one’s own ways of being (identities).”
By high school, students must “explain” — parrot back is more like it — “the social construction of race” and “assess how social policies and economic forces offer privilege or systematic oppressions for racial/ethnic groups.”
The standards portray America as a very bad place indeed. From elementary school on, students will be propagandized that we live in a greedy, “imperialist” nation, permeated by “powerful social, cultural and political inequities” which young people must “take action” to “address.” Yet they will lack the knowledge to put America’s alleged shortcomings in context, in part because the standards are silent on 20th-century totalitarian movements and atrocities like Soviet gulags, the Nazi Holocaust, the Chinese Cultural Revolution and the 9/11 terror attacks.
He who controls the past controls the future. Where the Left controls the present, as it generally does in our public schools, it is determined to re-write the past. If the Left succeeds in that design, our country won’t have a future. A self-hating civilization cannot survive. Nothing is more important than resisting this radicalization and dumbing-down of the public schools.
The right wing wants to eliminate public schools.
Obsurd
“imperialist” nations invade and conquer and install a new government controlled by the invaders. The Soviet Union did that after World War two.
The United States didn't do that. We never controlled Germany Italy and Japan axis countries.

Damn, that is funny.
Well Roger...
when Martin Luther King suggested that we judge men, not by the color of their skin, but by their character...
What he actually was saying is that we should drill into our children that everything and everyone is all about the color of their skin, and that it is impossible to judge anything or anything without making overwhelming considerations regarding skin color.
Skin color, 2+2=4, skin color, A,B,C,D, skin color, CO2, skin color, etc... skin color, etc... skin color.
Fyi we lost 1,131 per day from the first death from the covid-19 virus until January 20th in 2021 @ noon EST
So even using your skewed timeline Biden has tripled the number
Good job Alky
Showing that people of color have been judged by the color of their skin, is very important.
Personally I judge people by their words and actions.
The color of her skin can determine if I am attracted to a woman. That's not racism.
The per day death rate was very low at first, because very few people were infected.
You failed mathematics

"AFL-CIO head Richard Trumka on Sunday voiced his criticism of President Joe Biden’s decision to revoke the permit of the Keystone XL Pipeline, a move that directly eliminates 11,000 jobs and could affect 60,000 more.
Trumka told “Axios on HBO” he thinks it was a mistake to halt the construction because it cost jobs and will cost more down the road. He added he thinks Biden acknowledges he made a mistake"
He's not objective. Objectionablity is necessary for a journalist.
So he's not objective because he is a journalist who works for the media? I guess that disqualifies every journalist in the world.
Either way, the story is not an opinion piece, nor does it rely on anonymous sources to back up the claim. The information in question is garnered from the public information surrounding the arrests of many of those at the Capital, as well as other known facts.
It's simply a fact that the arrests and complaints against many of rioters are offering conspiracy charges that come from the fact that these were people who were preplanning the event between two or more people. Every time you see the term "conspiracy" in these complaints, that tells us that they are being charges with "pre-planning" of the event.
This is not rocket science... well except for those lowly educated people who are confused by legal terms and such things that educated people actually do understand.
John F. Solomon is an American journalist who is a contributor to Fox News. He was formerly an executive and editor-in-chief at The Washington Times.

Solomon did some of the best, most objective and most accurate reporting on the whole "Russia" fiasco.
alky, clowns like you don't like great reporters like Solomon because THEY ARE objective. and with that objectivity and accuracy comes a bunch of reporting that makes democrats look bad. and we just can't have that.
anything that isn't spoon fed to you by MSDNC or mommy jones is simply not acceptable to you. it upsets your confirmed biases and compels a look at the truth, and you wouldn't know the truth if it crashed through the roof of your room at the group home.

The interesting thing about Liberals is how quick they are to believe opinions, anonymous sources, and rumors provided them by their liberal media. These are in all cases things that cannot be verified. You just have to trust them.
But someone actually writes something that can be easily verified as true or false, and suddenly they don't want to trust it. Like in this case, it would be easy for Roger to go to website (he once provided) that lists all of the charges... and see for himself that what the author was claiming (that people were being charged with conspiracy for pre-planning their actions).
But rather than do the cursory research that would prove or disprove what the author is claiming. Roger just discounts it. Either this simple concept is above his uneducated mind, or he is just lazy.
i agree with all of that cold. but I also apply a heaping helping of Occam's Razor to explain their "reasoning." and by that I mean that which reflects poorly on democrats must not be reported.
a journalist by the name of Jim Treacher made this observation many years ago -
"Modern journalism is all about deciding which facts the public shouldn't know because they might reflect badly on Democrats."
I like Iowahawk’s observation
Journalism is about covering important stories. With a pillow, until they stop moving.
