Falsus in uno, falsus in omnibus is a Latin phrase meaning "false in one thing, false in everything." At common law, it is the legal principle that a witness who testifies falsely about one matter is not credible to testify about any matter. Although many common law jurisdictions have rejected a categorical application of the rule, the doctrine has survived in American courts.
Generally this is something that is made in closing arguments, and many times in the American Justice system a Judge will even use the term and explain it to the jury. The O.J. Simpson trial was probably one of the most famous cases of the use, when Judge Lance Ito brought it up in regards to Mark Fuhrman and his testimony.
But, more to the point, general common sense tells us that people willing to openly lie about things should not be provided the same level of trust that people who generally strive to tell the truth. Moreover, in any legal setting, the use of a known lie to bolster a case provides the common sense question as to why? How weak is a case when you have to resort to lies to make it?
As is generally the case, the usual suspects have attempted to defend the lies (specifically the blatant lie that a Capital Police officer was killed at the scene) with logical fallacies. To be clear, the issue isn't whether or not the death of a police officer is tragic. Any time someone is struck down in the prime of their lives, it is a tragedy. To point out that Democrat blatantly lied about his cause of death to push a bigger lie, is not the same thing as discounting or undermining a death (which is the talking points memo that the collective left has lockstep pushed).
Ask the family of the slain police officer how much they appreciate their loved one being used in a political theater with blatant lies about his death. Being the police officer was a know Trump supporter, I doubt whether the angst here is being aimed at the Trump legal team for attempting to correct the record.
Democrats used the memory of a death police officer and a blatant lie to push their case. Liberals everywhere appear to still be defending, if not applauding the move.

Openly lying to advance their cause has become a foundation for democrats
Look at the much hyped Lincoln Project
Well at least the Lincoln Project was telling one truth.
They said they were doing it for their children
No wonder so many pedophiles supported them.
How many times did the "pastor" quote from them here ?
Or should I say at least plagiarize from Goddard's political_lire
After all he's just a waterboy who can't be bothered to providing a link to his actual source which easily exists.
(Quiet children, the "pastor" is sneakily at work pilfering from a lefty blog and people may notice.)
Anyways the entire "impeachment" is built on lies at it's foundation. There never was an insurrection. The only people who tragically died were Republicans.
If only the Democrat "peaceful protests" only killed lefties.
