Biden promised schools would be open within 100 days - now he is hedging?
The science couldn't be any clearer and obvious here if it walked up and hit Biden over the head with a transparent crystal baseball bat. So date, only 67 children between the ages of 5-14 have died from Covid. Covid is less dangerous to children than the common flu, pneumonia, and any number of other things.
Let me repeat that: Only 67 children between the ages of 5-14 have died from Covid. That is approximately 6 children a month, or about one death every 4-5 days nationally. That is barely one child per state since the beginning of the outbreak.
There is absolutely no science that suggests that Covid is dangerous to children. PERIOD!
But there is massive scientific evidence that the mental health of children is suffering greatly because of this, and there is NO QUESTION that the education of these children are suffering. The issue at hand is entirely about the concept that the Teacher's Union are liking their time off.
But the real question is what makes teachers so much more special than other front line essential workers. How is it that a convenience store, or grocery store, or retail store worker, or any number of other professions can responsibly work in person during Covid, but teachers cannot?
Biden and the Democrats have a choice to make. Stand up for children or stand up for the teacher's union.
