A 100% self inflicted wound

Top Border Patrol officials say the migrant ‘crisis’ is getting worse
Top Border Patrol officials said officers are “overwhelmed” by the influx of migrants at the US-Mexico border, a spiraling “crisis” that intensified this week when a gun battle between rival cartel gangs broke out in a Texas town. “A week ago I would not have called this a crisis. Today it meets the definition. We are overwhelmed,” Brandon Judd, president of the National Border Patrol Council, told Fox News Wednesday night.
“We do not have the resources to stop the cartels from bringing in illegal aliens, from bringing in drugs, therefore we are in fact in a crisis,” he added. On Tuesday, President Biden said he did not have any plans to travel to the southern border “at the moment” amid a surge in migrants. Instead, Biden issued a blunt message to migrants thinking about crossing the border, saying “Don’t come over” when asked by ABC News host George Stephanopoulos. “Don’t leave your town or city or community,” he added.

Does anyone really expect that Joe Biden will somehow travel to the border and actually resolve anything here? This is a classic case of Joe Biden believing that the best way to move forward with the border was to disrupt everything being done under the wrong assumption that Trump must have been doing it wrong. But after spending four years as President, Trump had a clue as to how to keep things working smoothly. Biden on the hand is absolutely clueless.

In less than two months Joe Biden has pretty much blown up the border and wreaked havoc on what had been a fairly stable situation. Rather than fix anything, they point fingers and attempt to demand that their own self-made crisis should be blamed on Trump. At this point there doesn't seem to be any sort of fix being offered and things will likely get worse before they get any better. The only thing being done is Joe Biden apparently believing if he now tells the masses of migrants to simply stay put, that after traveling hundreds of miles at his bidding that they will suddenly listen and not cross.

For those keeping count, the amount of migrants attempting to cross the border has just around doubled over the same time last year. The amount of border problems far exceeds that doubling.

Well he is building more cages that he previously blamed on Obama

47 years of "experience" and a lapdog press is a big part of the problem.

And dementia

Roger, I know why your SSI check and small defined benefit was suspended from your use.

The reason was easy to figure out.

WASHINGTON — More than 500 migrant children had been in Border Patrol custody for more than 10 days as of Thursday, well past the three-day legal limit, as many border facilities not built to house children have far surpassed their capacity, according to new data obtained by NBC News.

Many of the children are being held in the Rio Grande Valley, the epicenter of the recent migration surge, where as of Thursday more than 4,000 immigrants of all ages were in custody in a sector with facilities meant to hold only 715, according to the data. In the soft-sided tent facility in Donna, Texas, built to house the rising numbers in the Rio Grande Valley, more than 3,300 immigrants were in custody in a facility built for 250 as of Thursday. The numbers fluctuate throughout any given day, as some adult immigrants are quickly processed and released or expelled from the U.S.

The overcrowding is particularly problematic for children, as the border stations were not meant to house minors, particularly for long periods of time. During a surge of unaccompanied migrant children during the Trump administration in 2019, children complained of not having enough space to lie down and sleep. The Biden administration has said children are given three meals a day, regular access to snacks and occasional recreational time.

They are trying to figure out how to handle this horror story.

This a very difficult task.

A man has been arrested after allegedly attacking two elderly people in San Francisco, including a 75-year-old Asian-American woman who fought back, authorities said Thursday.

Steven Jenkins, 39, was booked on two counts of assault likely to produce great bodily injury, and two counts of elder abuse, the San Francisco Police Department said in a statement.

Jenkins is accused of attacking an 83-year-old Asian man on Wednesday morning in the Tenderloin District before being chased by a security guard on foot.

"As Jenkins was fleeing, he assaulted the female victim," police said in a news release. "The security guard was able to detain Jenkins until officers arrived."

Both assaults are believed to have been unprovoked, investigators said, adding that they are working to determine if racial bias was a motive.
