So Don Lemon is down 32.5%, Anderson Cooper is down 32.2% and Chris Cuomo is down 28.5% basically since Trump has left office. While even FOX news shows are down a little bit, that is generally a smaller loss than what the other networks are seeing. Some of that might be due to conservatives switching over to Newmax and other alternative news channels.
At the end of the day, Trump was good for cable news. While Biden might be boring and not up to much of anything other than napping and playing video games, the reality is that being angry and complaining is much better news than attempting to cheerlead for someone like Slow Joe.

Slow Joe is kicking ass off the pandemic!
On Saturday we blew past every previous record by vaccinating 4.6 million people in a single day. Then on Sunday we plummeted down to 1.4 million. Overall, though, this is good news. Saturday's performance demonstrates that we have the infrastructure to vaccinate 4-5 million people in a day, while the three-day weekend average of 3 million is well above any previous weekend.
Sleepy Joe doesn't tweet about 100 times a day, because he is too busy working for the American people, instead of dividing the country.
That's exactly what pisses you off!

and he's accomplishing THAT by calling a lid each day by 11 AM, and having Ginger McCircleback bullshit the press pool.
Killing tens of thousands of $100K/year jobs sure as fuck ain't working for the American people, idiot.
J&J alone will ship 20M vaccine doses this month. Thank them. Biden has nothing to do with it. He's too busy creating a crisis at the border. It only took him 6 weeks to do it.
The U.S. as a whole has administered over 109 million vaccine doses, but 16 million came while the former was still in office.
68% more in just 55 days
And while CNN sinks into irrelevance (especially after losing the airports), Tucker Carlson is crushing his time slot.
Heh.
J&J is cooperating with their opponents business, dumbshit.
Sleepy Joe negotiated the deal

Target Corporation, the eighth largest retailer in the United States, announced in an email to employees on Thursday that it will be leaving the City Center, its primary downtown Minneapolis location.
Company officials cited improved remote work opportunities and less need for space as the drivers for the decision.
"In just one year we've proven that we can drive incredible results, together, from our kitchens and basements and living rooms," said Melissa Kremer, executive vice president and leader of Target’s human resources operations.
Target, the largest employer in Minneapolis with some 8,500 corporate workers, says the 3,500 employees who work at the City Center will still have a “home base,” but it will be at another Minneapolis location or in the nearby suburb of Brooklyn Park.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average notched another record high on Monday as investors grew optimistic about the economic reopening from the pandemic.
The Dow rose about 150 points to close at a record. The S&P 500 rose 0.6% and the Nasdaq Composite gained about 1%.
Stocks that will benefit most from a swift economic comeback from the pandemic led the gains. American Airlines and United Airlines shares were up 7% and 8%, respectively.
As a part of the $1.9 trillion stimulus package that became law last week, the IRS started processing $1,400 direct payments for millions of Americans, which is expected to add juice to the already recovering economy.
Air travel over the weekend hit its highest level in more than a year as the Covid-19 vaccine rolls out and Americans return to vacationing.

DALLAS (AP) — The U.S. government wants to house up to 3,000 immigrant teenagers at a convention center in downtown Dallas as it struggles to find space for a surge of migrant families who have inundated the border and strained the immigration system just two months into the Biden administration.
American authorities encountered people crossing the border without legal status more than 100,000 times in February — a level higher than all but four months of Donald Trump’s presidency. The spike in traffic poses a challenge to President Joe Biden at a fraught moment with Congress, which is about to take up immigration legislation.

The city of Burbank in Southern California cut off the electricity supply to a restaurant that repeatedly defied local orders by remaining open during the pandemic.
The city disconnected power to Tinhorn Flats' property over the weekend with authorization from the Los Angeles Superior Court. City officials had also asked the court for permission to padlock the restaurants' doors, but this was not granted.
The restaurant, which has stayed open despite having its permit revoked, said it would continue to serve customers using its own generator.

Acting House Sergeant-at-Arms Timothy Blodgett informed all members of Congress in a memo on Monday that some parts of the security fence surrounding Capitol grounds that was installed after the Jan. 6 insurrection will be taken down.
According to the letter obtained by multiple outlets, Blodgett told lawmakers that the authorities had determined “there does not exist a known, credible threat against Congress or the Capitol Complex that warrants the temporary security fencing.”
The inner perimeter fencing that currently borders Capitol Square will be moved closer to the Capitol building and the barbed wire on top of it will be removed this week.

Everyone should be shouting "Say her name"
Should come up in every press briefing.
And should be the first question of Biden if he ever holds a press conference.

Wall Street was relieved when Sen. Elizabeth Warren was passed over for the leadership of the Treasury Department. But now the financial industry faces another threat: President Joe Biden is enlisting a small army of her former aides and allies to run his government.
Warren's expanding network in the upper echelons of the administration includes protégés who helped execute her aggressive oversight of big banks and other corporations as well as friends who share her views of the risks looming on Wall Street. But it goes beyond finance, covering pivotal posts at the Department of Education and even the National Security Council.
If he raises taxes like Bill Clinton, he will reduce the national deficit for the next few years. The debt rate increases will start slowing down like in 1999 and 2000. The monthly debt was almost zero.

In debate, Kamala Harris says she won't take a COVID vaccine just on Trump's say-so
Sen. Kamala Harris of California said during Wednesday night’s vice presidential debate with Vice President Mike Pence that she does not trust the administration’s push to rush a coronavirus vaccine into production.
“If the public health professionals, if Dr. [Anthony] Fauci, if the doctors tell us that we should take it, I’ll be the first in line to take it. Absolutely,” Harris said during the live debate in Salt Lake City, when she was asked if Americans should take a vaccine, if the Trump administration were to approve one either before or after the election. “But if Donald Trump tells us that we should take it. I’m not taking it.”

In teaming up with Merck, Johnson & Johnson has a partner with a century-long tradition of making vaccines. In the United States, Merck is the sole supplier of the combination childhood vaccine that protects against measles, mumps and rubella. It developed Gardasil, which protects against the human papillomavirus. And it won Food and Drug Administration approval for an Ebola vaccine in 2019.
But the company, which makes vaccines in North Carolina, Pennsylvania and elsewhere, encountered setbacks in its quest to develop a coronavirus vaccine. Merck announced Jan. 25 that it was halting work on two experimental shots for the virus. The vaccine did not stimulate enough antibodies in Phase 1 human clinical trials to justify continuing, the company said.
Catch up on the most important developments in the pandemic with our coronavirus newsletter. All stories in it are free to access.
Johnson & Johnson has been searching the world for manufacturing sites where it could produce doses of its vaccine on a global scale. It has publicly disclosed more than half a dozen manufacturing sites on four continents that it said were winnowed from more than 100 possibilities.

Naomi Wolf: We’ve Reached ‘Step Ten’ of the 10 Steps to Fascism
In 2020, I showed in my book, “Outrages: Sex, Censorship and the Criminalization of Love,” how infectious disease epidemics, such as cholera and typhus, had been exploited in the 19th century by the British state in order to crush freedoms and invade people’s privacy. I wrote about how the first anti-vaccination movements arose among British parents in the Victorian period.
That book was initially cancelled, and its message of warning continues to be assailed. But that book, too, was prescient: In early March of 2020, of course, a global pandemic was announced — COVID-19.
In the immediate wake of the announcement and narrativization of that pandemic, most of the elements of a locked-in, 360-degree totalitarianism have been put into place in most of the countries of the West, including in what had been robust democracies. It all happened very quickly and comprehensively.
In the U.S. we now have:
1. Emergency measures in many states
2. The closures of schools
3. Bills being passed for “vaccine passports,” which bypass the Fourth Amendment
4. Forced closures of businesses. By intervening directly in the economy and allowing certain businesses to flourish (Amazon, Walmart, Target) at the expense of small businesses
5. Restrictions on assembly.
6. Forced face coverings
7. Suppression of free speech. Big Tech companies are censoring critics of COVID-19 policy and vaccine policy
8. Science being hijacked in the interests of “biofascism
9. Data being hijacked to serve the interests of this biofascism.
10. Attacks on religious minorities. The orthodox Jewish community in Brooklyn and Christian churches in California have been singled out for punishment if they do not follow COVID-19 rules
11. Policies that weaken bonds between human beings and weaken the family being introduced and policed. This is the most serious development of all.

FACT CHECK - TRUE
The attempt to recall my Governor by wingnuts like the truthers.
What you need to know about the attempt to recall Gov. Gavin Newsom.
The recall campaign has received most of its backing from Republicans and is supported by state GOP officials. Earlier this month, its proponents insisted that almost one-third of the voters who signed the petitions were not Republicans. But polling has shown it to be far more popular among GOP voters than among Democrats or unaffiliated voters.
A poll released Monday by Emerson College found just 38% of voters surveyed said they would vote to remove Newsom if a recall election was held. Forty-two percent said they would vote to keep Newsom in office, with the remainder of voters surveyed either unsure or saying they wouldn’t vote in a recall election.
Newsom’s supporters also released a new campaign ad Monday highlighting that some recall supporters had also helped spread conspiracy theories related to the November presidential election and had expressed support for groups such as QAnon and the Proud Boys.
Providing resources to families, businesses, community institutions and states is certainly the fastest way to encourage economic recovery. This approach increases the positive influence of government while maximizing the authority and choice of individuals. It encourages social justice without massively expanding the size and role of federal bureaucracies. In many aspects, this is what used to be called the empowerment agenda: providing individuals, businesses and community institutions with the resources to improve the quality of life around them.
The American Rescue Plan reduces economic inequality — but not in such a way that it punishes the wealthy. According to the Tax Policy Center, the legislation will boost after-tax income in the lowest quintile by about 20 percent. Those in the top quintile will see their after-tax income rise by 0.7 percent. This is a pretty anemic socialist revolution.
Alky, here’s the problem for the ex Mr Kimberly Guilfoyle
On Sunday's front page, the New York Times explored the positives — from the booming real-estate market to Florida's low unemployment rate — of an early reopening: "Much of the state has a boomtown feel," writes Patricia Mazzei, "a sense of making up for months of lost time."
The Times notes that Florida's unemployment rate is 5.1%, compared to 9.3% in California, 8.7% in New York and 6.9% in Texas.
"That debate about reopening schools? It came and went months ago. Children have been in classrooms since the fall."
The big picture: Much of the public part of DeSantis' pandemic response feels more and more like an audition for a 2024 presidential run, which Politico's Marc Caputo has noted.
"With a COVID death count cover-up consuming New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo and a pandemic-related recall effort haunting California Gov. Gavin Newsom, Republicans are embracing DeSantis as a red-state exemplar."
Our thought bubble: We've long known that the state's pro-business Republican leadership was making a sort of grand bargain: that the death toll was the price paid for keeping commerce flowing and keeping kids in school.
The closer you are to either loss or to the fullness of life will likely determine how you feel about the state's response.
And the more we harm our youth for the old and sickly the worse it gets. I used to think Donks were for the children
For teens, pandemic restrictions may have meant months of virtual school, less time with friends and canceling activities like sports, band concerts and prom.
And for young people who rely heavily on social connections for emotional support, these adjustments may have taken a heavy toll on mental health, a new national poll suggests.
Forty-six percent of parents say their teen has shown signs of a new or worsening mental health condition since the start of the pandemic in March 2020, according to the C.S. Mott Children's Hospital National Poll on Children's Health at Michigan Medicine. Parents of teen girls were more likely to say their child had a new onset or worsening of depressive symptoms and anxiety than parents of teen boys.
"Just as young people are at the age of being biologically primed to seek independence from their families, COVID-19 precautions have kept them at home," says poll co-director and Mott pediatrician Gary L. Freed, M.D., M.P.H.
"Pandemic-related lifestyle changes have wreaked havoc on teens' lives, with many experiencing disruptions to their normal routines. Our poll suggests that pandemic-era changes may have had a significant mental health impact for some teenagers."
The nationally representative report is based on responses from 977 parents of teens ages 13-18.
One in three teen girls and one in five teen boys have experienced new or worsening anxiety, the poll suggests. More parents of teen girls than parents of teen boys note an increase in anxiety/worry (36% vs. 19%) or depression/sadness (31% vs. 18%).
But similar proportions of parents report negative changes in their teen's sleep (24% for girls vs. 21% for boys), withdrawing from family (14% vs. 13%) and aggressive behavior (8% vs. 9%).
Recent research has shown teen depression during the pandemic to be associated with teens' own fears and uncertainties, as well as high levels of parental stress, Freed notes.
"Isolation during the pandemic may be triggering new problems for some teens but for others, the situation has exacerbated existing emotional health issues," Freed says
As thousands of Native Americans watched online, Rep. Deb Haaland (D-N.M.) was confirmed as secretary of the Interior Department by a 51-to-40 vote in the Senate, making her the first American Indian to lead an agency that manages a vast portfolio of federal land and the oil and mineral wealth that lies beneath it.
Haaland, a member of the Laguna Pueblo Nation in New Mexico and whose family ties in the country can be traced back 35 generations, will take control of a department that also oversees Indian Country, 574 federally recognized Native American and Alaska Native communities.
Four Republicans crossed party lines to vote for Haaland. The close vote reflected broad support from Democrats and overwhelming opposition from Republicans.
Many Republicans decried Haaland’s support for the Green New Deal, which calls for dramatically lowering fossil-fuel emissions, and her opposition to an expansion of oil and gas drilling on public land, saying the positions disqualified her to lead an agency that has traditionally promoted those ventures.
Sen. Tina Smith (D-Minn.) recalled how Republicans launched a “ferocious” attack against Haaland, calling her views on managing public land extreme and “radical” during her committee confirmation hearing. Meanwhile, Smith said, some of those same senators posed little opposition to Tom Vilsack’s nomination to run the Agriculture Department, although many of his views are similar to Haaland’s.
“I just find it difficult to take these Republican attacks at face value,” Smith said. “Once again a woman, and a woman of color, is being held to a different standard and we need to call it.”
As a kid who grew up in Rapid City South Dakota is happy to see a Native American is the Cabinet of The United States of America.
The Senate on Monday confirmed New Mexico Rep. Deb Haaland as interior secretary, making her the first Native American to lead a Cabinet department and the first to lead the federal agency that has wielded influence over the nation’s tribes for nearly two centuries.

The National Review.
falls to me to declare it.
It’s time somebody just said it: National Review, which I never read anymore, is totally irrelevant. Further, and this bit is important, National Review happens to be the reason why everything is going wrong in the conservative movement and even the country.
Nobody reads National Review anymore. Especially not since the “Against Trump” issue, which — I cannot stress this enough — rendered the institution useless forever. During a time period somewhere between several months and several years after that issue came out, I decided it was the reason I will never take any of those people seriously again. Instead, I resolved to read and listen to the conservative outlets run by . . . errrr . . . the other contributors to National Review’s “Against Trump” issue, people I can trust to be straight with me and not to bend with the prevailing political wind.
Top ArticlesNew York Vaccine Head CalledCounty Officials to Assess Loyalty to Cuomo: Report
The straw that broke the camel’s back for me was when National Review endorsed transgenderism. No, I’m not going to mention that the column I’m referring to — by an outside contributor — was immediately met with several blistering rebuttals by full-time staffers of the magazine. And no, I’m not going to mention they have the leading conservative reporter in the Anglosphere making a skeptical examination of the phenomenon her beat. And no, I’m not going to mention that Kevin Williamson got canceled from a syndicated column for defending the traditional view of these things at National Review. I’m not going to mention any of that, because National Review is irrelevant and cowardly, and though this is my 310th blog post in a series on that institution’s faults, I don’t read it.

"A worry for retirees: Inflation forecasts hit 8-year high

There’s quite a lot to be concerned about
Inflation expectations are rising.
Nobody suffers more from high inflation than retirees. Back in the 1970s, it was those in retirement living on fixed income that got hit the hardest as prices rose year after year. The investment returns from their bonds and cash fell way behind. Bonds were ruefully described as “certificates of confiscation.” Every year retirees got poorer."

The Nazis Were Leftists, Deal With It
By “liberal,” I don’t mean big-state welfarism. I mean the tenets and spirit of liberal democracy. Respect for the outcome of elections, the rule of law, freedom of speech, and the principle (in courts of law and public opinion alike) of innocent until proven guilty. Respect for the free market, bracketed by sensible regulation and cushioned by social support. Deference to personal autonomy but skepticism of identity politics. A commitment to equality of opportunity, not “equity” in outcomes. A well-grounded faith in the benefits of immigration, free trade, new technology, new ideas, experiments in living. Fidelity to the ideals and shared interests of the free world in the face of dictators and demagogues.
How drunk can you be to believe The Nazis Were Leftists,
At least .24
Regarding that recent Siena poll showing strong support for Cuomo not resigning and huge support for the Biden 1.9T bill, it was conducted with half the sample being an online poll, and the other half phone calls in which they asked for the youngest person in the household. This wins the prize for bullshit poll of the month.
I will not be silenced by the left.
I’m amazed but not surprised. Those who seek political advantage by dividing the nation hurl the worst possible accusations to silence anyone who challenges their left-wing agenda.
In a recent radio interview on the Joe Pags Show, I explained why I wasn’t concerned by the Trump supporters who came to Washington on Jan. 6 to protest peacefully. Thousands of protesters—no one knows the actual number—marched to the Capitol. Only about 800 people illegally entered the Capitol. Still fewer engaged in violent acts. I condemned those lawbreakers at the time and continue to do so. But I feel compelled to push back as Democrats and their media allies try to equate the two groups by implying that all present were “armed insurrectionists” determined to overthrow the government.
I told Joe Pags the truth: I honestly never felt threatened on Jan. 6. But, I added, I might have been worried if Donald Trump had won and the violent leftists who burned Kenosha, Wis., and Minneapolis last summer had come to Washington. Here’s exactly what I said: “Now, had the tables been turned—Joe, this could get me in trouble—had the tables been turned, and President Trump won the election, and those were tens of thousands of Black Lives Matter and antifa protesters, I might have been a little concerned.”
I said “this could get me in trouble” because I have been repeatedly attacked for challenging the left’s false narratives. I had no idea they would so thoroughly twist my words and reflexively play the race card.
Leftists who want to memory hole last summer’s political violence immediately started lecturing me that the 2020 protests were mostly peaceful. Apparently they’ve forgotten that, according to the Armed Conflict Location & Event Data Project, 570 leftist protests became riots last year. Twenty-five people lost their lives and 700 law enforcement officers were injured. Braying about “peaceful protests” offers no comfort to those victims or the other innocent Americans whose homes, businesses and property were destroyed. The same people fail to see the damage they do by pushing a narrative designed to portray the 74 million Americans who voted for Mr. Trump as potential domestic terrorists or armed insurrectionists.
We should all be disgusted at the cynical way antifa and other leftists hide behind the banner of equality—a goal we all share—even as they carry signs calling for an end to America or talk of burning cities down. It was also sadly predictable that liberals would hurl the accusation of racism. This isn’t about race. It’s about riots. The rioters who burned Kenosha weren’t of any one ethnicity; they were united by their radical leftism.
Their politics, together with their taste for violence—so different from the Trump supporters I know personally or the Trump rallies we all saw carried out peacefully—should concern us. There’s a reason why the boarded-up windows in the downtowns of major cities came down soon after Joe Biden won the election: Nobody was worried what Trump supporters would do if their guy lost; they were worried about what Biden supporters would do if their guy didn’t win.
Unfortunately, much of the media have lost any sense of fairness and objectivity. They shed all pretense of being unbiased the moment President Trump won the 2016 election. As a result, approximately half of America simply doesn’t trust the mainstream media or rely on what it reports. An unbiased free press is essential in a democracy, but the censorship of conservative perspectives in today’s cancel culture is antithetical to freedom.
Most reporters today put advocacy above journalism. Instead of conducting interviews with conservatives, they conduct arguments. They push their political viewpoints and are willing to lie, twist, distort, omit, censor and cancel anything or anyone with an opposing view. They are oblivious to the harm they are doing. All who value liberty and free speech must push back.
Mr. Johnson, a Republican, is a U.S. senator from Wisconsin.
He's a real racist.
While the destroyed businesses are indeed unacceptable and those riots that should have been more severely cracked down on once they morphed into violence, they are not remotely comparable to a mob storming the Capitol Building while Congress was in session chanting "Hang Mike Pence" (the sitting Vice President), many of whom were carrying Confederate battle flags (foully achieving what their clear "heroes" failed to do during their insipid treason over 150 years prior). Making death threats to elected officials while attacking officers deployed to protect said officials is not "a little riot," it is full-blown insurrection. The anarchists got what they wanted over the summer: some looting and lots of media. The capitol insurrectionists were attempting to kidnap and do who knows what to sitting federally elected representatives in a botched, failed coup. Just because it was shoddily organized and failed does not make it any less obscene.
How drunk can you be to believe The Nazis Were Leftists,
alky, you assholes have worked almost as hard to re-cast Nazi's as far right as you have to peddle your "dixiecrats/republicans and democrats switched sides" line of hot steamy bullshit about the klan and democrats in the south.

rting with rebuilding the staff morale and getting all of our staff back to feeling as if they matter, their voices matter," EPA Administrator Michael Regan says. (Caroline Brehman/AP)

Michael Regan has bold aspirations, and a long to-do list, as President Biden’s newly confirmed Environmental Protection Agency administrator.
He wants to hasten the nation’s shift to cleaner forms of energy, make transformational investments in communities battered by decades of pollution, and improve air and water quality around the country. But to accomplish any of that, the 44-year-old administrator said Monday, he must first help the EPA get its groove back.
“We’ve got a lot of work to do, starting with rebuilding the staff morale and getting all of our staff back to feeling as if they matter, their voices matter,” Regan said in his first interview after being sworn in last week. “We really have to restore the scientific integrity and the utilization of data, of facts, as we move forward and make some very important decisions.”

Just days into his tenure, the former North Carolina environmental official has embraced a simple mantra as he faces the daunting task of translating Biden’s promises into actual policies.
“Science is back at EPA,” he said.
With a shrinking EPA, Trump delivers on his promise to cut government
Congress kept the EPA’s budget largely stable during recent years, despite attempts by President Donald Trump to make deep cuts. Even so, a Washington Post analysis showed that during the first 18 months of the Trump administration, nearly 1,600 workers left the EPA, while fewer than 400 were hired. That exodus shrank the agency’s workforce to 14,172, a level not seen since the Reagan administration.

The room-and-board charges covered a late December trip to Israel, where Donald Trump’s son-in-law led an Israeli delegation to Morocco. Kushner first visited the U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem, where it had been moved by the fervently pro-Israeli Trump administration in an action that triggered controversy.
Kushner also attended a ceremony in his honor that dedicated the Embassy courtyard to him.

Destroyed businesses are indeed unacceptable and the summer riots should have been more severely cracked down on once they morphed into violence, charged and prosecuted not continuously released. Other than a few individuals breaching the Capitol Building while Congress was in session chanting "Hang Mike Pence" (the sitting Vice President), at least one who was carrying a Confederate flag. In the scope of around a million protesters this was a little riot, compared to what went on all summer in America and is now continuing. The capitol protesters were attempting to force and investigation of a fraudulent election. They were true patriots and overwhelmingly peaceful as a multitude of video shows.

Republicans [Desperately Trying to] Take Credit for Relief They Opposed[?] [brackets added]
March 16, 2021
Taegan Goddard quoting VOX:
“The popularity of the legislation puts Republican members of Congress in a bind:
How does one message against a bill that most Americans like, and that will cut child poverty in half, while also juicing an economy that’s been ravaged by the year-long pandemic?”
“Some Republicans, perhaps understandably, are instead opting to instead focus on culture war distractions like whether Dr. Seuss is being ‘canceled.’ But others are shamelessly trying to TAKE CREDIT for Democratic policy RIGHT AFTER they voted against it.”
_____
HYPOCRISY, thy name is WHAT?
Scott's love will never recover
How green with envy is Donald Trump?
President Biden has him begging for attention.
Since Biden's inauguration, the COVID-19 infection rate has been cut by well over half.
And last week congressional Democrats passed Biden's popular COVID-19 relief bill. The economy is rebounding, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average up about 19 percent since Election Day.
Poor Trump. All he can do is put out a whiny statement.
"I hope everyone remembers when they're getting the COVID-19 (often referred to as the China Virus) Vaccine, that if I wasn't President, you would be getting that beautiful 'shot' for 5 years, at best, and probably wouldn't be getting it at all. I hope everyone remembers!"
We remember the shortage of vaccine when he left office.
We remember there was no plan for getting Americans vaccinated.
And who can forget that Trump lied from the start about the severity of the virus and later promoted a quack, phony cure?
The bottom line is that he produced the greatest failure of presidential leadership in history.
In January, Trump's last month in the White House, the nation had the highest number of COVID-19 deaths since the pandemic began. Shortly after he left office, the virus death toll topped 500,000.
With Biden in the White House, the nation has turned that around in 50 days.
COVID-19 infection rates and deaths are sharply down while the number of people getting shots has more than doubled to over 2 million a day.
Biden promised 100 million vaccinations in his first 100 days in office. He is on track to do it.
And now Biden says there will be enough vaccine for all Americans by the end of May.
Trump and his aides are reduced to complaining that Biden's team is "using our playbook every step of the way." They correctly note that Trump got vaccine production started. But people outside of politics say there is no comparing the administrations.
"Corporate, state and federal officials agree Mr. Biden's White House has been more active than his predecessor's in trying to build up the nation's vaccine stock," The New York Times reported last week.
The American public agrees.
Biden's approval rate was 60 percent last week in both a CBS poll and a Morning Consult-Politico poll.
Trump left office in January with a 34 percent approval rating, according to Gallup. He is the only president who never reached a 50 percent approval rating in a Gallup poll.
Biden's COVID-19 aid bill is also a winner with public opinion.
Despite not a single Republican in Congress supporting the bill, the Biden coronavirus relief package won approval from both Republican and Democratic voters.
In the Morning Consult poll, 75 percent of the nation supported Biden's $1.9 trillion package. Even 59 percent of Republicans supported the bill, the poll found.
Just as importantly, Americans are happy with Biden's response to the pandemic, with more than 60 percent approving, according to polling by NPR, CBS and Pew Research.
Oh, and this has to burn Trump:
In the NPR poll, Biden's handling of the virus got the approval of 22 percent of people who say they voted for Trump. Overall, about one-third of Republicans approved.
Biden's positive poll ratings on handling the virus are almost the exact opposite of Trump's. In October, a month before the election, 59 percent of Americans disapproved of how Trump was dealing with it, according to a Reuters poll.
Trump's own pollster said the negative public reaction to Trump's approach to the virus cost him the November election.
Tony Fabrizio, his top pollster, said the coronavirus was the top issue in the presidential contest. A majority of voters who ranked the virus as the top issue disapproved of how Trump handled the crisis. Fabrizio found those voters favored Biden by a margin close to 3 to 1.
It is a rule of politics that in any crisis there is a rally-around-the-leader surge in public support. But Trump's response to the COVID-19 crisis was so bad that his approval numbers went down.
A year ago, Trump gave an Oval office speech to the nation in which he said "the risk is very, very low" that the virus was a threat to kill a large number of Americans.
Now, Trump insists on credit for starting vaccine production. But he has nothing more to contribute about dealing with the fallout from the pandemic.
At the moment, most of his statements are attacks on Republicans he views as not loyal to him.
In one statement, he ridiculed Republican political strategist Karl Rove as a man who "has been losing for years, except for himself."
In another statement, Trump trashed the conservative Wall Street Journal editorial page. He said the Journal's editorial support for moderate Republicans had "so badly hurt the Republican Party," adding, "Fortunately, nobody cares much about The Wall Street Journal editorial anymore."
In yet another statement, Trump asked his supporters to send their political donations to his political action committee and not to the Republican National Committee.
Trump will get his wish to be remembered. He will be remembered for his jealous rage.
