Prosecution calls a 9 year old to testify?

The state must have one hell of a rock solid case if they need to call a child to testify.

She testified that she saw the ambulance nurse tried to get access to George Floyd's body and got pushed away.

The defense is having a bad day.

Rat...

The entire case is being built on emotion. The type that puts people like Roger into a state of frenzy. So far the only witness that has actually provided any testimony other then telling the jury that they were "upset" by what they saw was the Bouncer with the MMA background.

For the life of me, I am still not sure what he is talking about with a "side blood choke". You look online for a list of chokes and they are either under the neck chokes, or chokes that apply pressure to both sides of the neck.

If you google MMA Side Choke, you get pretty much hits regarding the trial and other hits that reference just "chokes" in general. But nothing that identifies a "side choke" other than some variation where a choke to both sides of the neck are applied from the "side".

He is either lying through is teeth or he actually doesn't know any better. The prosecution seems to be betting that being a local "black" guy will give him more credibility than the MMA experts that the defense will be calling.

You are correct. Both sides of the neck must be restricted to lose consciousness from the move. Just one is insufficient.

Yep. And has been since the day Junkie Floyd overdosed.

The guy's a fucking moron who is 'playing' to the large swath of numbskulls who are getting off on this shit. It's all part of the shakedown.

I've said it a million times now -

Law enforcement needs to completely turn its back on the black community. Fuck these assholes. Defund the police you say? No fucking problem. Buh bye now.

911 calls? A cop will swing through in a day or so or three. Only during daylight hours. Bring out your dead. leave them at the curb.

Shots fired? Huh. I didn't hear a fucking thing.

Let them kill each other. At some point they all die off and then the law abiding can come in a restore and develop what's left for normal people.

These fucking assholes are destroying in record time what it took generations to build. With their CRT and 'systemic racism' everything they touch turns to shit.

There were 400,000 excess deaths across the United States in 2020, a spike closely correlated to the coronavirus pandemic.

The lack of testing early in the pandemic may also have undercounted COVID-19 deaths, explains Daniel Weinberger, an epidemiologist at the Yale School of Public Health who has also studied the coronavirus and excess deaths.

The issue was further complicated because each state has its own death-counting methodology. “Some states classify a death as due to COVID if a positive molecular test was obtained, while other states allow the death to be classified as due to COVID if there is a suspicion that it was caused by COVID (even without a molecular test),” Weinberger wrote in an email to Yahoo News.

Polymerase chain reaction tests — another name for the molecular tests Weinberger referenced — are the most reliable way to tell if a person, dead or living, has been infected with the coronavirus.

In the case of Florida, the researchers say, 4,924 excess deaths should have been counted as resulting from COVID-19 but for the most part were ruled as having been caused by something else, thus lowering Florida’s coronavirus fatality count. That’s possible because people who die from COVID-19 often have comorbidities, such as diabetes and asthma. That leaves some discretion for medical examiners, who have sometimes struggled with conflicting science and been subject to political pressures during the pandemic.

In Florida, the state’s 25 district medical examiners are directly appointed by the governor. Last spring, the DeSantis administration was accused of trying to keep those medical examiners from releasing complete coronavirus data. (In August, the state said coronavirus deaths no longer required certification from a medical examiner.)

The Republican party is an authoritarian party today.

Abraham Lincoln is rolling in his grave.

To your point -

Conclusions.

Although many police agencies have adopted VNR, there are no studies describing the physiology of VNR with only two early limited investigations (15, 16). Our results indicate that the most important mechanism in causing unconsciousness was decreased cerebral blood flow due to carotid artery compression. The slight decrease in SV and CO should not be considered physiologically important enough to cause unconsciousness. Since there were no significant changes in HR, ventricular contractility, or arterial pressure, the carotid sinus baroreceptor reflex appears to contribute little or nothing to the response to VNR. With the majority of subjects rendered unconscious and, importantly, no serious adverse events in our subjects, we conclude that VNR is a safe and effective force intervention; however, outcomes could vary in different populations (i.e., unhealthy or older subjects).

Btw, someday I'd like to see someone sit down with the Covid mortality database and go through it person by person, review the file, and strip out the deaths that were attributed to Covid for political purposes.

Strip out the lies and the bullshit and I'll bet the real number is no more than 60% of the current total.

If you live in a city run by Democrats, you need to prepare yourself for the possible aftermath of the Derek Chauvin verdict.

If Chauvin, the Minneapolis police officer on trial for the death of George Floyd (P.S. Minneapolis has been run exclusively by Democrats for decades), is found not guilty, America’s left-wing terrorists in Antifa and Black Lives Matter will almost certainly make last year’s riots look like a dress rehearsal.

Last summer, after that awful video of Floyd’s death hit the Internet, where did the worst of the violence hit? In these Democrat-run cities: Los Angeles; Minneapolis; Fayetteville; Atlanta; New York; Nashville; Seattle; Portland; Philadelphia; Chicago; Milwaukee; Salt Lake; Washington, DC; Detroit; Indianapolis; San Francisco; Kansas City; Houston; Charlotte; Cleveland; Pittsburgh; Denver; Dallas; Phoenix; Tampa; Baltimore; Oakland; Louisville, and even a little place called Kenosha.

Does anyone doubt the terrorists in Black Lives Matter and Antifa are planning and plotting for a second wave of violence should Chauvin be acquitted?

Furthermore, does anyone doubt the Biden Justice Department will be okay with this violence — will stand by and do nothing? Keep in mind His Fraudulency Joe Biden believes America has this violence coming — even though it only happens in cities that overwhelmingly support him.

What’s more, does anyone believe in the event of an acquittal, the corrupt, corporate media — CNN, MSNBC, New York Times, Washington Post — will not openly encourage and champion this violence, just like they did in Ferguson, Baltimore, and all the cities listed above?

Listen, if you own a business in a Democrat-run city, especially some sort of storefront, you need to prepare. Fire insurance, riot insurance, window coverings… I don’t know. I’m not here to give specific advice, but you do need to prepare.

Comorbidities and other conditions
Table 3 shows the types of health conditions and contributing causes mentioned in conjunction with deaths involving coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). The number of deaths that mention one or more of the conditions indicated is shown for all deaths involving COVID-19 and by age groups. For 6% of these deaths, COVID-19 was the only cause mentioned on the death certificate. For deaths with conditions or causes in addition to COVID-19, on average, there were 3.8 additional conditions or causes per death. For data on deaths involving COVID-19 by time-period, jurisdiction, and other health conditions,

During cross-examination, Chauvin's attorney pointed out that Williams seemed to grow increasingly angry at the police, taunting Chauvin with “tough guy,” “bum” and other names, then calling Chauvin expletives, which the defense lawyer repeated in court.

Williams initially admitted he was getting angrier, but then backtracked and said he was controlled and professional and was pleading for Floyd's life but wasn't being heard.

Williams said he was stepping on and off the curb, and at one point, Thao, who was controlling the crowd, put his hand on Williams’ chest. Williams admitted under questioning that he told Thao he would beat the officers if Thao touched him again.

Watch live: Coverage of Derek Chauvin's trial in George Floyd's death

Updated March 30, 2021, 10:06 AM PDT

Former Minneapolis Police Officer Derek Chauvin's trial began Monday morning. Chauvin faces three charges, including second-degree murder, in the death of George Floyd.

Floyd, a Black man, died May 25 after Chauvin, a white 19-year veteran of the department, pressed his knee into Floyd's neck for several minutes.

The nearly nine-minute video of Floyd's death, in which he can repeatedly be heard saying, "I can't breathe," led to global protests last year against police brutality.

The first witness, 911 dispatcher Jena Scurry, said the police officers restrained Floyd for so long that she asked someone whether her "screens had frozen because it hadn't changed" and "was told that it was not frozen."

The two other witnesses were bystanders, Alisha Oyler, who was working at a Speedway station across the street, and Donald Williams II, who had been on his way to Cup Foods. Williams will return to the witness stand when the trial resumes Tuesday.

Tearful teen says she has apologized to George Floyd for 'not physically interacting and not saving his life'

The teenager, who recorded viral bystander video of George Floyd's death, broke down in tears on the witness stand and said she has been kept up at night, regretting that she didn't do more to possibly save his life.

In an emotional high point of this two-day-old trial, Darnella Frazier could barely articulate her sorrow about witnessing Floyd as murder suspect Derek Chauvin knelt on his neck.

"It's been nights, I stayed up apologizing and apologizing to George Floyd for not doing more and not physically interacting and not saving his life," the tearful Frazier said. "But it's like. It's not what I should have done. It's what he (Chauvin) should have done."

Frazier said every time she views the video of the fatal interaction, she thinks of her father, brother, cousins, uncles and friends - all Black men who could have been in the same situation that Floyd faced.

"I look at that and I look at how that could have been one of them," the tearful witness said.

African Americans have feared for their lives, because of the systematic racism that still exists, despite the civil rights movement. It's never going away. So they have to move forward in their lives.

AP) — As onlookers pleaded with Minneapolis police Officer Derek Chauvin to take his knee off George Floyd’s neck, Chauvin just gave them a “cold” and “heartless” stare, the teenager who shot the harrowing video of the arrest testified Tuesday at Chauvin’s murder trial.

In sometimes-tearful testimony, Darnella Frazier, 18, said Chauvin continued to kneel on Floyd’s neck and fellow officer Tou Thao wouldn’t let onlookers get close, even when one of them identified herself as a firefighter and begged repeatedly to check Floyd’s pulse.

She also said she saw Chauvin press harder when he said "I can't breathe ".

The defense team has a problem, today.

The current exponential increase in coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is reaching a calamitous scale in the United States, potentially overwhelming the health care system and causing substantial loss of life. The news media dutifully report each day’s increase in new cases and deaths, but putting these numbers in perspective may be difficult. The daily US mortality rate for COVID-19 deaths is equivalent to the September 11, 2001, attacks, which claimed 2988 lives,1 occurring every 1.5 days, or 15 Airbus 320 jetliners,2 each carrying 150 passengers, crashing every day.

Pretty sure Rat...

That the jurors have already watched the video of what happened. Had Chauvin "pressed harder" that would be something that they already would have seen.

I find it odd that the judge refused to allow evidence of Floyd's previous arrest where he ingested large amounts of drugs and ended up almost dying in the ER - as it would be considered more prejudicial than probative.

But he lets a nine year old girl testify about how horrible it was to watch a man die on the sidewalk. As if that wasn't 99.9% prejudicial (emotional) and 00.1% probative (establishment of a fact).

If I didn't know any better, I'd say this judge is not being very fair to the defendant.

Almost a year after witnessing George Floyd’s death beneath the knee of Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin, some of the bystanders who watched Floyd die testified Tuesday that they felt helpless as the fateful incident unfolded.

When asked about her emotions at not being able to render aid to Floyd, Genevieve Hansen, a Minneapolis firefighter who filmed the incident while off-duty, broke down in tears and said she was “totally distressed.”

“There was a man being killed,” she said, under questioning from the prosecution. “And had I had access to a call similar to that, I would have been able to provide medical attention to the best of my abilities, and this human was denied that right.”

CPR might have saved his life.

Coldheartedtruth Teller said...

Another bad day for the defense.

Chauvin's defense attempted to portray bystanders as angry mob that diverted officers' attention.
