Now we are down to the only murder on Jan 6th being of a protester...

D.C. Medical Examiner: Officer Brian Sicknick died of stroke from natural causes, not result of assault
Capitol Police officer Brian D. Sicknick suffered two strokes and died of natural causes a day after he confronted rioters at the Jan. 6 insurrection, the District’s chief medical examiner has ruled.
The ruling, released Monday, likely will make it difficult for prosecutors to pursue homicide charges in the officer’s death. Two men are accused of assaulting Sicknick by spraying a powerful chemical irritant at him during the siege.
In an interview with The Washington Post, Francisco J. Diaz, the medical examiner, said the autopsy found no evidence the 42-year-old officer suffered an allergic reaction to chemical irritants, which Diaz said would have caused Sicknick’s throat to quickly seize. Diaz also said there was no evidence of internal or external injuries.

For the worst riot that ever took place, it certainly did not have much for tangible violence or destruction. Almost nothing was destroy, the only person violently killed was an unarmed female military veteran who was literally no threat to nobody. At one point I heard that hundreds of cops were injured, then I heard dozen, then I heard fifty, but at the end of the day only fourteen police officers were officially deemed to have suffered any sort of tangible injury.

That is an average Friday night in Portland.

Meanwhile two more National Guard members were shot yesterday in Minneapolis as the deaths, injuries, and property damages continue to mount. All while California Congresswoman Maxine Watters is here pushing for more of the same and then some.

But none of this is a problem according to the left. Because it's all justified because of racism and white supremacy or something like that.

Capitol Police issued a statement saying that the department accepts its findings that Sicknick died of natural causes, but that it “does not change the fact Officer Sicknick died in the line of duty.”

There is no way of knowing that the stress of his job caused the stroke.

Technically the autopsy is conclusive evidence that he did NOT die in the line of duty. But one of those Capital Police officers did KILL someone while in the line of duty.

Technically speaking you are right. But before the Insurrection was barely on the news, you said it was not an Insurrection. Even though they wanted to hang Vice president Pence put a bullet into Nancy Pelosi's brain.

Here is a RINO lolololololololololol

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy told Breitbart News on Monday that he plans to introduce a resolution to censure Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA,) following his threat to take action against the House Financial Services chair over her remarks urging protesters against police brutality to “get more confrontational.”

In a statement shared with Breitbart News, McCarthy once again accuses Waters of having “incited violence” and breaking “the law by violating curfew” when issuing her remarks to reporters on Saturday during a protest against the killing of Daunte Wright in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota.

“This weekend in Minnesota, Maxine Waters broke the law by violating curfew and then incited violence. Increased unrest has already led to violence against law enforcement and her comments intentionally poured fuel on the fire,” McCarthy said in his statement, according to Breitbart News.

McCarthy, predictably, goes on to hammer into Republicans’ performative outrage by making the rich assertion that Waters has not been held accountable for her “violent rhetoric.”

Waters should shut her mouth.

Not at all. I am stating a simple fact. He had a blood clot and suffered a stroke.

The only people I am discrediting are those (like you) who demanded he was murdered (with no evidence that he was). The family of Sicknick did not want his death politicized or otherwise used for political purposes. They made that abundantly clear from day one.

I am honoring his family's wishes while you flaunt them.

So are you now still claiming that this alleged attempt to take over the United States government that was supposedly fraught with death and violence still exist in your mind?

We are now down to only protesters who passed and the only violent death was at the hands of the Capital police. No burning buildings, no destruction of property, no looting and stealing.

Challenging the legitimacy of the current Republican-run U.S. government, and the legitimacy of the American nation itself, has been a staple of Democrat rhetoric for generations. They usually end up openly fantasizing about assassinating the Republican in the White House.
---
Violent street theater has likewise been a staple Democrat tactic for ages. These signals were not only received by their intended recipients on the hard Left. Where did the Jan 6 demonstrators get the idea to challenge the legitimacy of an election? From Democrats, of course.
---
Democrats are trying to reinforce the notion that only THEY, and their favored constituents, get to question the legitimacy of the government, challenge elections, hold unruly protests, refuse to recognize legal authority, etc. They're not against any of that ON PRINCIPLE.

---
We're getting another demonstration of it right now, as Maxine Waters cruises unscathed through a media nontroversy that would be the top story nationwide if a Republican did what she did. Every single GOP politician would be hounded to denounce her 24 hours a day by reporters.
---
This is a standard feature of totalitarian regimes, by the way. The ruling Party always has street auxiliaries that terrorize the public with impunity. Sometimes they're paramilitary militia forces with some degree of official sanction and assistance, as in Iran.
---
Every left-wing totalitarian state tries to keep a permanent "revolution" brewing on the streets, even after the "revolutionaries" have been in total control of the State for years. They always posture as righteous underdogs fighting against oppressive powers.
---
In the United States, the Democrat Party has been in control of most institutions and most of the government for generations, but it still asserts that only Democrats can question the legitimacy of the government, refuse to recognize elections, or break the law with impunity.
---
The Dems control nearly everything of value and influence in America, and they have absolute multi-generational political control of the cities where riots keep happening - but they're still the plucky "revolutionaries" speaking Truth to Power and Fighting For Justice.
---
And yes, the Democrats reserve the right to call for political violence, and also demand absolute impunity when violence results, even massive property destruction and murder - because they're still the freedom-fighting revolutionaries, and they always will be. /end

Kamala Harris proves Democratic field is weak
So my oh my how the liberal pundits love to fawn over the flavor of the month. First it wes Betomania, then it was Buttomania, and now it appears we have Kamania. I wonder if there is room in the mix for a spiritual advisor to break out of the pack before this whole thing is said and done.

The truth is that Kamala Harris had a couple of good debate moments at the expense of Joe Biden. That's pretty much it. Those moments neither change the fundamental nature of who she is, or what her campaign stands for. That being said, Democrats (especially liberal media Democrats) have always had an overinflated regard for how much someone's ability to "debate" actually matters.

We are now hearing and reading about how Harris is the sort of candidate who can "stand up to the President" or the type of candidate who could "tear him apart" in a debate. You know, sort of like how Hillary Clinton wiped the floor with a sniffling Donald Trump, or Al Gore blew George W Bush away in their debates.

But the reality is that campaigns have and always will be about messaging and policy. I don't think Kamala Harris being the 432,098th Democrat to call Trump a racist is going to be the one that finally makes it all "sink in" for people. Nor is it going to help to bring up sexual allegations, Russian collusion, or tax returns. These sorts of gotcha issues have come and gone. They won't make the difference.

The candidate with the best chance of beating Trump isn't going to be the one who can most effectively repeat what everyone else has stated about Trump all along. The candidate with the best chance of beating Trump will be the one who comes into the campaign with a message that resonates better with the American public than the message Trump will deliver.

The problem right now for the Democrats isn't that they don't have anyone who could win a debate. The problem is that the entire field has moved so far over to the left, that they would need a road map and about six tanks of gas to get back to the middle. While some of these issues (open borders, free healthcare for illegals, abortions up till delivery, green new deal) are very popular with the rank and file Democrats, they are horribly unpopular with the electorate at large

Farewell,
Walter Mondale

Coldheartedtruth Teller said...

Walter F. Mondale, the former vice president and champion of liberal politics, activist government and civil rights who ran as the Democratic candidate for president in 1984, losing to President Ronald Reagan in a landslide, died on Monday at his home in Minneapolis. He was 93.

Kathy Tunheim, a spokeswoman for the family, announced the death. She did not specify a cause. But Mr. Mondale was prepared for the end. Over the weekend he spoke for the last time with former President Jimmy Carter, under whom he served; with President Biden and his wife, Jill Biden; and with Vice President Kamala Harris. And he sent a farewell email to his former staff members.

A son of a minister of modest means, Fritz Mondale, as he was widely known, led a rich public life that began in Minnesota under the tutelage of his state’s progressive pathfinder, Hubert H. Humphrey. He achieved his own historic firsts, especially with his selection of Representative Geraldine A. Ferraro of New York as his running mate in 1984, the first woman to seek the vice presidency on a major national ticket.

Under President Carter, from 1977 to 1981, Mr. Mondale was the first vice president to serve as a genuine partner of a president, with full access to intelligence briefings, a weekly lunch with Mr. Carter, his own office near the president’s and his own staff integrated with Mr. Carter’s.

Rocker and COVID-19 denier Ted Nugent has tested positive for the coronavirus.

The right-wing rock musician revealed in a Facebook video that he is seriously ill with the potentially deadly virus he has insisted is fake or not very serious, reported Consequence of Sound.

"Everybody told me that I should not announce this," Nugent says in the video. "I have had flu symptoms for the last 10 days. I thought I was dying -- just a clusterf*ck."

"I was tested positive today, I got the Chinese shit," Nugent added. "I've got a stuffed-up head, body aches. My God, what a pain in the ass. I literally could hardly crawl out of bed the last few days… So I was officially tested positive for COVID-19 today."

When meteorologists issued their forecasts for Typhoon Surigae on Friday, they knew the Category 2-equivalent storm had the potential to intensify quickly. But by Saturday morning, the storm had exceeded forecasters’ wildest expectations, attaining Category 5 status and practically leaping off the scale.
On Saturday afternoon Eastern U.S. time, the typhoon, which churned ominously close to the Philippines, had 190-mph winds after a bout of extremely rapid intensification, becoming the strongest typhoon, cyclone or hurricane ever observed in the month of April.
In fact, such a feat has never occurred in January, February, March or May, either.
Slew of rapidly intensifying hurricanes portends trouble in a warming world
According to Jeff Masters, a meteorologist for Yale Climate Connections, only four tropical cyclones reliably measured worldwide have featured higher wind speeds.

Misapplying the Law

Prosecutors, however, are loading up repetitive charges to build impressive-looking cases against nonviolent protesters.

For example, more than 200 people have been charged with both “parading, demonstrating, or picketing in a Capitol Building” and “disruptive” conduct in either the Capitol or in a restricted building. Another common charge is “entering and remaining in a restricted building or grounds.” All three are misdemeanors punishable by a fine or up to six months in jail.

Not exactly the high-powered sedition trials Americans were promised.

One offense Jon Schaffer copped to—obstruction of an official proceeding—has been applied to more than 130 defendants so far; the feds desperately need the charge to stick because it represents the sole felony among mostly misdemeanor cases. The 10 alleged Oath Keepers accused of “conspiracy” each face one count of obstruction of an official proceeding. (None faces a weapons or assault charge.) So getting a guilty plea on one of the Justice Department’s favorite January 6 crimes is big—for now.

But one Capitol defendant is fighting the vague law enacted in 2002 in response to the Enron scandal, as I explained here. Christopher Grider was arrested in January and indicted on seven counts including obstruction of an official proceeding.

In March, his lawyer filed a motion to dismiss the charge against his client. “No court has ever interpreted an ‘official proceeding’ as that term is used . . . to apply to a legislative or ceremonial function such as the certification of the electoral college vote,” T. Brent Mayr wrote. “Let there be no question that the Government is asking this Court to go well beyond the plain meaning of the term ‘proceeding.’”

Grider’s next court appearance is in June—the government is fighting the request, of course—but other defendants likely will challenge the obstruction charge in the interim.

In the aftermath of the chaos on January 6, Democrats, the news media, and lots of Republicans vowed to stop at nothing to hold accountable every “insurrectionist” involved in the protest. Yet more than 100 days later, most defendants are accused of acting as “interruptionists”—Americans who may have acted recklessly but no more criminally, for the most part, than violent protests against Trump’s first inauguration in 2017 or Brett Kavanaugh’s Senate confirmation in 2018.

This might explain why House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is backing off a 9/11-style commission to expose the truth of what happened before, during, and after January 6. After all, an “armed insurrection” tribunal would titlate her base and gratify the news media, but a public vetting about bothering Congress for a few hours? Not so much.

https://amgreatness.com/2021/04/19/from-insurrectionists-to-interruptionists/

LOL.

So much for what the alky calls "The most dangerous day in the history of the known universe" and "The deadliest day in American history. More deadlier than a billion 9/11's stalled at the intersection of a hemorrhoid flare up and the heartbreak of psoriasis."

And goddamnit if Sicknick didn't die of natural causes after all and obliterate yet another alky LIE.

And to top it all off, Mad Max-Scene has just laid the perfect groundwork for the swiftest appeal in the history of criminal law.

THWAP!!!

Oh yeah, about those facemasks...

They're worthless.:

Conclusion

The existing scientific evidences challenge the safety and efficacy of wearing facemask as preventive intervention for COVID-19. The data suggest that both medical and non-medical facemasks are ineffective to block human-to-human transmission of viral and infectious disease such SARS-CoV-2 and COVID-19, supporting against the usage of facemasks. Wearing facemasks has been demonstrated to have substantial adverse physiological and psychological effects.

These include hypoxia, hypercapnia, shortness of breath, increased acidity and toxicity, activation of fear and stress response, rise in stress hormones, immunosuppression, fatigue, headaches, decline in cognitive performance, predisposition for viral and infectious illnesses, chronic stress, anxiety and depression. Long-term consequences of wearing facemask can cause health deterioration, developing and progression of chronic diseases and premature death. Governments, policy makers and health organizations should utilize prosper and scientific evidence-based approach with respect to wearing facemasks, when the latter is considered as preventive intervention for public health.

Coldheartedtruth Teller said...

The first claim, which suggests that wearing a mask can reduce the amount of oxygen needed to stay healthy, is misleading. Writing for the American Lung Association (www.lung.org/blog/covid-masks), pulmonologist David G. Hill, M.D answers the question “Do Masks Cause Low Oxygen Levels?” with the following: “Absolutely not. We wear masks all day long in the hospital. The masks are designed to be breathed through and there is no evidence that low oxygen levels occur. There is some evidence, however, that prolonged use of N-95 masks in patients with preexisting lung disease could cause some build-up of carbon dioxide levels in the body. People with preexisting lung problems should discuss mask wearing concerns with their health care providers.”

In an examination of the use of N-95 masks by healthcare workers, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) notes that a decrease in the frequency and depth of breathing may occur if the user experiences enough breathing resistance (here). However the CDC adds that this does not pose a significant risk when the N-95 mask is worn for periods of less than an hour.

Moreover, the close-fitting N-95 masks used by healthcare workers are different to cloth face coverings, which are the type advised by the CDC for use in public settings (here). The CDC’s guidelines on cloth face coverings are published here .

The second claim in the social media post, which suggests that wearing a mask can increase toxin inhalation due to exhaled waste being trapped, is also misleading.

Reuters has previously investigated claims of masks causing hypercapnia. This condition is caused by inhaling too much carbon dioxide, which is a waste gas released during exhalation.

A CDC spokesperson said on the topic: “The CO2 will slowly build up in the mask over time. However, the level of CO2 likely to build up in the mask is mostly tolerable to people exposed to it. You might get a headache but you most likely [would] not suffer the symptoms observed at much higher levels of CO2. The mask can become uncomfortable for a variety of reasons including a sensitivity to CO2 and the person will be motivated to remove the mask. It is unlikely that wearing a mask will cause hypercapnia” (here).

CBS News deceptively cropped body camera footage that showed a 13-year-old boy holding a gun before he was fatally shot by Chicago police in March.

A law enforcement officer fatally shot Adam Toledo during an encounter in response to gunshots heard on a police scanner. Police said Toledo ignored “verbal directions, fled, used significant force, and was armed with a semiautomatic pistol,” which is why the officer fired.

Body cam footage released this week appears to show Toledo holding a weapon moments before he was shot, but CBS News posted a clip to its website and Twitter page that cropped out the footage showing the teen’s alleged firearm.

On March 3, 2020, Brandon Hole's mother went to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department seeking help after her son had purchased a shotgun with no bullets, according to new details in an incident report released Monday. The mother told police that her son became angry, struck her in the arm with a closed fist and told her to "shut up" when she had asked what he was going to do with the gun. The mother said her son told her that he was going to point the unloaded gun at police officers so they would shoot him, saying, "This is not the life I want to live, I'll end it my way," according to the report.

After speaking with the mother, police officers went to the family's home and placed Hole in handcuffs. Hole, who was 18 at the time, "became immediately anxious" and told the officers, "Please just turn the power strip off on my computer ... I don't want anyone to see what's on it," according to the report. One of the officers went upstairs to seize the shotgun and "observed what through his training and experience indicated was white supremist (sic) websites" on Hole's computer, the report said.

One of his proudest legislative achievements, he said, was his leadership role in making it easier for the Senate to cut off a filibuster with 60 votes, under a rule change, rather than a two-thirds vote, as was previously required. I'm sure he did. The single most harmful legislation to African-Americans of the 20th Century, resulting in the utter destruction of the black nuclear family and set the course for the state of Black America today.

All in exchange for their votes for the next 200 years.

The year without parking tickets is ending. DC will resume parking enforcement, including street sweeping, on June 1. If your driver’s license has expired, you have until July 1 to renew it.

John Ashbrook

DC suppresses driver rights with harsh new parking restrictions... They'll force individuals to carry current identification at all times... And prohibit drivers from simply leaving their car... even for a water.

Chat logs between an employee and a hiring manager viewed by the Washington Examiner detail an incident where a minority candidate with strong credentials performed exceptionally well in an interview. When that employee suggested to the hiring manager that the company wave the candidate through to the next step in the process, the hiring manager dismissed the candidate under the assumption he was white.

After learning that the candidate belonged to a minority group, the manager said she was excited to hire him, despite learning virtually nothing else about his background.

"Given the hiring practices they have in place where white, male candidates are blocked, regardless of qualifications, I have to say, 'Yes, there's obvious discrimination at this company,'" one employee told the Washington Examiner.

Another time, an employee suggested a candidate with years of industry experience. That employee was informed by the hiring manager that the candidate, a white man, could not be interviewed because he didn't meet the diversity criteria.

This is classic. Maxine Waters flew to a community that is not her own, demanded the police who were already dealing with unrest provide her an escort, then used it to attack the police and call for further unrest. Then she flew home.

This magazine has long specialized in debunking pernicious political myths, and Jonah Goldberg has now provided an illuminating catalogue of tyrannical clichés, but worse than the myth and the cliché is the outright lie, the utter fabrication with malice aforethought, and my nominee for the worst of them is the popular but indefensible belief that the two major U.S. political parties somehow “switched places” vis-à-vis protecting the rights of black Americans, a development believed to be roughly concurrent with the passage of the 1964 Civil Rights Act and the rise of Richard Nixon. That Republicans have let Democrats get away with this mountebankery is a symptom of their political fecklessness, and in letting them get away with it the GOP has allowed itself to be cut off rhetorically from a pantheon of Republican political heroes, from Abraham Lincoln and Frederick Douglass to Susan B. Anthony, who represent an expression of conservative ideals as true and relevant today as it was in the 19th century. Perhaps even worse, the Democrats have been allowed to rhetorically bury their Bull Connors, their longstanding affiliation with the Ku Klux Klan, and their pitiless opposition to practically every major piece of civil-rights legislation for a century. Republicans may not be able to make significant inroads among black voters in the coming elections, but they would do well to demolish this myth nonetheless.

Even if the Republicans’ rise in the South had happened suddenly in the 1960s (it didn’t) and even if there were no competing explanation (there is), racism — or, more precisely, white southern resentment over the political successes of the civil-rights movement — would be an implausible explanation for the dissolution of the Democratic bloc in the old Confederacy and the emergence of a Republican stronghold there. That is because those southerners who defected from the Democratic party in the 1960s and thereafter did so to join a Republican party that was far more enlightened on racial issues than were the Democrats of the era, and had been for a century. There is no radical break in the Republicans’ civil-rights history: From abolition to Reconstruction to the anti-lynching laws, from the Fourteenth and Fifteenth Amendments to the Civil Rights Act of 1875 to the Civil Rights Acts of 1957, 1960, and 1964, there exists a line that is by no means perfectly straight or unwavering but that nonetheless connects the politics of Lincoln with those of Dwight D. Eisenhower. And from slavery and secession to remorseless opposition to everything from Reconstruction to the anti-lynching laws, the Fourteenth and Fifteenth Amendments, the Civil Rights Act of 1875, and the Civil Rights Acts of 1957 and 1960, there exists a similarly identifiable line connecting John Calhoun and Lyndon Baines Johnson. Supporting civil-rights reform was not a radical turnaround for congressional Republicans in 1964, but it was a radical turnaround for Johnson and the Democrats.

That, and perhaps it's his default position.

Like I said in an earlier comment on a previous thread, the alky is the most prolific liar this blog has ever seen. Lying comes completely natural to him, and he lies about every topic he mentions. He lies without shame and without remorse when exposed. He simply moves on to the next lie, effortlessly.

I can only assume that his lying has it's roots in his isolation. This blog perfectly encapsulates his life, and without it he dies. So it appears to be a cry for attention. The more fantastic and bizarre the lie, the more attention he hopes to garner on any given thread.

In my opinion the perils of this behavior would tend to completely remove the alky from reality. He swallows every single leftist lie hook, line, and sinker without question. When caught, he digs his heels in and doubles down. When cornered with no avenue to escape except admission, he displays an epic level of invincible ignorance. And often relies on psychological projection to deflect.

See: The invincible ignorance fallacy

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Invincible_ignorance_fallacy

Ultimately I think it's safe to conclude that the alky is displaying a severe level of mental illness. And one could find themselves feeling sorry for him if they first forego the acknowledgement that he's a complete fucking asshole.

MINNEAPOLIS (FOX 9) - The Minneapolis City Council has voted 11-1 to oppose the use of tear gas and other munitions as part of Minnesota's response to civil disorder.

Some 3,000 National Guard soldiers have been deployed in response to Brooklyn Center unrest and the end of the Derek Chauvin murder trial next week. In Brooklyn Center, police used gas and nonlethal munitions as people tried to overrun the city's police station this week.

Council Member Jeremiah Ellison accused Gov. Tim Walz and law enforcement officials of approving "indiscriminate assaults, gassing, and arrests of protesters" in the name of protecting property.

"We're just going to pump people full of fear and say, 'Trust us, we got it. It doesn't matter how many chemical irritants we use, and it also doesn't matter whether or not it works,'" Ellison said.

The Minneapolis resolution has no real effect. Mayor Jacob Frey -- not the council - has operational control of Minneapolis Police, which is a member of the multi-agency respond known as Operation Safety Net.

Council President Lisa Bender described the vote as "a statement of the values of the City Council."
