Critical Race Theory is simply not popular

So the left is being forced to literally fire and punish those who speak out

Makes you wonder how long this can last? We have seen local elections overwhelming reject critical race theory and I know of almost nobody who believes this is an acceptable thing to be teaching our youth. Some liberals are now advocating that the 1619 project be part of the teaching curriculum, even though it has questionable historical merit.

Again, the numbers are overwhelmingly against teaching this in most portions of the country.

So what happens in over the next years when the people who grew up having CRT and 1619 shoved down their throats run across and have to exist along side those who believe that all races are equal, no races should be looked down on,  and everything is not the fault of Whitey? Won't that all be a fun day of reckoning?

Democrats now have what appears to be five legitimate Senate pick-up opportunities in 2022 – with chances in (in order) Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Wisconsin, Ohio and now Florida. Republicans, meanwhile, currently have three pick-up opportunities in New Hampshire, Arizona and Georgia, but still need to find candidates in those last two states. (And Nevada could be competitive, too, if they find the right candidate.)

Bottom line: Demings running is a significant development in the battle for the Senate, which currently stands divided at 50-50 — with Democrats holding the vice presidency and thus the tiebreaker.

But we also have a ways to go until Nov. 2022.

Explore the links below to learn more about Critical Race Theory, rebuttals to Critical Race Theory, and how it has expanded beyond higher education.

https://criticalrace.org/learn-more/

In order to understand the problem of Critical Race Training in Higher Education, parents and students need to understand what Critical Race Theory is and how it is implemented. As discussed below, Critical Race Theory is not the traditional civil rights movement, which sought to provide equal opportunity and dignity without regard to race. Rather, Critical Race Theory, and the training to implement it, is a radical ideology that focuses on race as the key to understanding society, and objectifies people based on race.

What is Critical Race Theory?

An outgrowth of the European Marxist school of critical theory, critical race theory is an academic movement which seeks to link racism, race, and power. Unlike the Civil Rights movement, which sought to work within the structures of American democracy, critical race theorists challenge the very foundations of the liberal order, such as rationalism, constitutional law, and legal reasoning. Critical race theorists argue that American social life, political structures, and economic systems are founded upon race, which (in their view) is a social construct.

Systemic racism, in the eyes of critical race theorists, stems from the dominance of race in American life. Critical race theorists and anti-racist advocates argue that, because race is a predominant part of American life, racism itself has become internalized into the American conscious. It is because of this, they argue, that there have been significantly different legal and economic outcomes between different racial groups.

The fact is patriots fought the American Revolution in large part to achieve independence from The British Empire.

The so called historians said the opposite.

"The patriots fought the American Revolution in large part to preserve slavery in North America."

Preserving slavery was a very tiny piece of the American revolution.

The underlying cause for this issue is to discredit our struggles to deal with the systemic racism that still exists.

It's a lot better than before the 60s but it keeps coming back, because of people like Donald Trump.

His campaigns first issue was birtherism.

Of course you are going to say that a low level person in the Hillary Clinton campaign. But the person was fired by Hillary Clinton's campaign.

Trump pushed it forward until he made a ten word diatribe.

But he used it to keep his base happy.

So  is critical race theory poisonous or illuminating?

Nathan M Greenfield  09 January 2021

Whatsapp

Twice during last year’s American presidential election campaign, the US president attacked Critical Race Theory (CRT). The first time, on Constitution Day in September, Donald Trump called the critical school that developed from Critical Legal Theory in the late 1980s “ideological poison” because it foregrounded the racial aspects of American history in the school curriculum.

The 1619 Project developed by scholars and the New York Times was “radical”, he declared, because, among other things, it began American history with the arrival of the first slave in Jamestown, before calling for it to be replaced by “patriotic education”.

A month later, during the first debate with then Democrat challenger Joe Biden, the president trumpeted his executive order that cancelled anti-bias training in all federal departments and cut federal funding for such training in colleges and universities.

“I ended it because it is racist … a lot of people were complaining that … a radical revolution was taking place in our military, our schools, all over the place.”

Not to be outdone, a few weeks later, Kemi Badenoch, the United Kingdom Equalities Minister, told the House of Commons: “We don’t want teachers to teach their white pupils about white privilege and inherited racial guilt.” Warming to her theme – and blind to the irony that she was speaking during the debate to mark Black History Month – Badenoch declared: “Any school which teaches these elements of critical race theory … without offering a balanced treatment of opposing views, is breaking the law.”

The attacks on CRT hardly surprised professors Jane Gordon (University of Connecticut), Lorenzo Baber (Loyola University Chicago), Adam Hochman (Macquarie University in Australia) or Phila Msimang (Stellenbosch University in South Africa). Each of these scholars told University World News how CRT illuminates how American (and Western) society racialises groups and places them on what amounts to a ladder at the top of which is ‘White Privilege’.

According to Baber: “Trump’s attacks are ahistorical and acontextual. They de-centre racial analysis and come from someone who has no understanding and desire to have an understanding of racial history. The critique, if you can call it that, amounts to ‘I’m uncomfortable with this’. It is meant to maintain the status quo.”

So basically it's designed to maintain the country as it is, because it doesn't have racism.

It's reminiscent of the Nixon vs Humphrey campaign in 1967. Humphrey defeated a Dixiecrat.

Nixon basically created the Southern Strategy that gave the Republicans the South at the end of the FDR era. After he brought the country out of the Great Depression.

The Marxism bs is a fucking lie.

I have seen the video and I actually agree with this horrible story.

No deputies will be charged in ‘justified’ shooting death of Andrew Brown Jr., DA says

Kate Murphy, Martha Quillin, Josh Shaffer

The district attorney for Pasquotank County will not bring criminal charges against sheriff’s deputies who shot and killed Andrew Brown Jr. in Elizabeth City — a move likely to increase tension and protest over police violence.

Pasquotank County District Attorney Andrew Womble announced the news while discussing the state’s investigation at a press conference in the county’s public safety building Tuesday.

Womble said Brown’s death “while tragic, was justified” because his actions caused three deputies to “reasonably believe it was necessary to use deadly force to protect themselves and others.”

Brown died April 21 after being shot by sheriff’s deputies who came to his house to serve arrest and search warrants related to drug charges.

Law enforcement involvement began in the weeks prior to the shooting when a detective with the Dare County Sheriff’s Office received information from a reliable confidential source that Brown was selling drugs in Dare County, Womble said. The detective contacted Pasquotank County and confirmed Brown’s identity and that he was a known drug dealer, Womble said.

The two arrest warrants for the sale of controlled substances and search warrants came as a result of undercover buys from Brown of cocaine and heroin that was laced with entangle, Womble said.

He posed for threat to others, including civilians.

Israel Fools Hamas Terrorists To Flee Into Tunnel Network Then Bombs Them To Bits

Whoever planned this IDF operation is brilliant. The IDF made Hamas think that a ground incursion was about to happen. Fearing the attack Hamas terrorists escaped into their tunnel system. At least they thought they were escaping. They didn’t realize they were being set up, they weren’t escaping–the Israeli Airforce was waiting for them at the tunnels. Israel fooled Hamas
At around 3pm EDT Thursday, the IDF began to assemble troops on its border with Hamas-controlled Gaza. It looked like the expected IDF incursion into Gaza to force Hamas to stop firing missiles would happen any second. About two and a half hours later, the IDF released this message

The mainstream media throughout the world pounced on the story. Establishment media reported the attack with headlines such as. “Israeli troops have entered the Gaza Strip as conflict with Palestinians escalates, Israeli military says.”

Notice that the MSM said that the IDF ‘entered” Gaza, but the IDF only said attacked?

Hearing this news, Hamas terrorists fled into the ‘Metro’ tunnels, an underground city/tunnel system built by Hamas after the 2014 war. Hamas uses the Metro tunnels to hide their and move them from point to point within Gaza without being seen by the Israeli Air Force (IAF). But what the Hamas terrorists didn’t understand was there was no ground offensive. As they ran through the tunnels and began to come out the other side, they were sitting ducks. 160 IAF planes had assembled for a massive bombing run over the Gaza Strip specifically targeting the Metro.
According to Arutz Sheva:
On Thursday night, the IDF brought in 160 aircraft and dropped 450 bombs containing over 80 tons of explosives, hitting 150 terror targets in 35 minutes. Hamas’ underground city was hit with enormous force, and the IDF collapsed the terror tunnel system, on the heads of the terrorists hiding in the tunnels.
During the attack, many kilometres of terror tunnels were destroyed. As of now, neither Israel nor Hamas is clear on the exact scope of the damage, but according to estimates, a large number of terrorists were buried in the sands beneath Gaza.
(…)Simultaneous to the air force attacks, infantry, artillery and armored forces deployed along the border fired hundreds of artillery shells and dozens of tank shells at targets in Gaza.
“In addition, we apparently succeeded in injuring a senior official in the [Islamic] Jihad anti-tank force,” he added.

Avoiding a ground incursion saves the lives of Israeli soldiers and avoids collateral Palestinian casualties. This doesn’t mean that there will be no Israeli ground force incursion into Gaza. As long as Hamas keeps up its rocket attacks, that is an unfortunate strong possibility.

ROGER KIMBALL: The Way We Live Now.

The gimlet-eyed Janet Daley identified one worrisome cluster in a column for the London Telegraph called “Free society is finished if we fail to resist this new Dark Age of unreason.”

Daley begins by noting the irony that the collapse of Soviet Communism, one of the most evil tyrannies the world has ever seen, did not, as some observers predicted, usher in a new age of sweetness and light but rather removed one of the supporting props of global security.

The resulting vacuum has fostered confusion and disarray everywhere. but mostly, Daley argues, in the West, which has been seduced into abjuring its faith in reason and open debate.

“Public discourse,” she writes, “does not consist of competing arguments any more: it isn’t a proper discussion at all. It is a diatribe in which one side tries to destroy, or prohibit, or totally suppress the other.”

She warns that we are on the verge—or perhaps past the verge—of “a Dark Age where reason and actual disputation are considered dangerous: where views contrary to those being imposed by what are often nothing more than activist cults can be criminalized. Not only must those who now hold opinions which breach orthodoxy be banned but historic figures who could not possibly have anticipated current social attitudes must be anathematized as well.”

Daley sees a parallel between our situation the age of religious absolutism in the West when the Church busied itself enrolling books by David Hume and John Locke on its Index Librorum Prohibitorum.

Be that as it may, Daley is surely right that the question is not whether you approve of any particular opinion but whether you insist that orthodoxy be accepted, indeed celebrated, without question or examination.

ROGER SIMON: Wokeness: “It’s About The Money.”

The CRT-Woke crowd have created racism while pretending to be against it.

I think for many this creation of racism where it didn’t exist was only barely unconscious, if not deliberate. They wanted the money (or the power to obtain it) that would flow from the putative need to stamp out this racism they instigated.

The question arises then whether the CRT people are actually serving the minorities they claim to be helping—that is getting them more money? Possibly. But only in the short run.

In the real (non-theoretical) world, blacks and Hispanics got more financial reward under Trump (with everyone treated equally) than ever before with wages up and unemployment for their sectors at record lows. And those gains were more likely to be sustainable because they came through genuine jobs, not government handouts or charity.

For the woke, needless to say, it wasn’t enough. And the source was tainted.

But what of sources in general? Is it better to have money handed to you or to have earned it yourself, from your labor and contribution to society, whatever that may be. Which is better for your welfare and ultimately your happiness?

We could call that the Hunter Biden Perplex, but it is clearly of greater significance than just the president’s constantly prevaricating pathetic son who was given everything.

Almost everyone knows the money you earn yourself counts for far more in the deepest sense than any kind of dole from the government or an inheritance.

Further, most of us realize (even those who won’t admit it) that LBJ’s Great Society, that massive initial injection of social welfare money into the black community that diminished the incentive to work, led, in serious measure, to the break up of the black family, no fathers in the home, and endless pain, deprivation, and physical danger in those communities for fifty years.

Yet, the same methods have come back in a new set of clothes from the woke and their most visible leaders—the “Justice Democrats.”

Many definitions and explanations of Critical Race Theory exist, a literal phantasmagoria of intellectual obfuscation, the stuff of theses and “studies,” some of it quite brilliantly, if sophistically, executed, but CRT boils down to something quite simple.

Martin Luther King’s justifiably famous dream that the day will come when we judge each other by our characters and not by the color of our skins has been turned on its head.

The color of our skins is to be the be all and end all of our existences, no matter what, no escape. That is what determines our position in life and our fate, beyond class and, apparently, beyond our character as well (i. e. how we actually behave and what we have done).

Race is everything. In order to be considered good, you must acknowledge that, literally bow to it, and behave accordingly.

And, it goes without saying, the Caucasian race (variously defined according to the situation—there is now something called a “White Hispanic”) has, in this construct, done virtually everything that is bad and is inherently the root of all evil. Hence we have “white privilege,” “white ’splainin’” and so forth.

Minorities cannot be racist, only whites.

This idea does not comport remotely with reality or with the DNA of homo sapiens (in which race is a barely visible, minor component) and is, in essence, racist itself.

CRT was an outgrowth of Critical Theory, which was developed by frustrated European Marxist intellectuals who were trying to deal with the failure of the working class to do what they were supposed to—opt for the workers’ state.

They gave up on the recalcitrant workers and decided the route to communist nirvana was a “march through the institutions” (media, the academy, entertainment) to take over those three key areas and inculcate their form of Marxism from above.

It worked to a great extent—just look at what has become of these institutions throughout the West— but that wasn’t enough. A coup de grace was necessary. Western civilization must crumble altogether and be replaced by their diktats of how we must all live, act, and think—or else.

This could not be done easily by Westerners, except perhaps in the background, since the classical liberalism they abhorred was a product of the West.

Enter Critical Race Theory. That would cement their totalitarian stranglehold on society because race is immutable.

You do realize that Britain supplied nearly all the slaves to their American colonies and did not abolish slavery in their own country till the the mid 1800s. At one time they even sent criminals to the American colonies to work as slaves for punishment.

The slave trade between Britain and the Americas was a profitable industry. There is absolutely zero real evidence that Britain was going to try to shut down slavery in their colonies when they were still practicing in their own mainland country.

Any "historian" who is suggesting that after 240 years of well documented American history regarding the Revolutionary war - that we have all been fooled and the "real" reason was to keep slavery in tact is practicing what is known as "revisionist history".

But somehow this whole misunderstanding was made possible by Donald Trump.

Go figure.

The child, who suffered multiple fatal wounds from what police say was an “edged weapon,” was identified Sunday by his grieving guardian as Cash Gernon, WFAA reported.

The “happy-go-lucky” boy was sleeping when a suspect, identified by cops as 18-year-old Darriynn Brown, barged into his home through a back door and kidnapped him on Saturday, his guardian said.

Brown is now charged with kidnapping and theft in connection to Cash’s death. He is being held on $750,000 bail, according to the Dallas Morning News.
