Yes, our support for Iran does actually cause attacks against Israel.
Now I don't believe this is quite as simple as actually just funding the attacks (which we are certainly doing in a round about way). But this probably has more to do with the fact that by creating a policy that makes Iran a "partner" or "ally" in the area seems to create the idea that we are okay with their funding of Hamas and terror groups who attack Israel.
To countries in the Middle East, appeasement is equal to weakness, and weakness can be taken advantage of. For all of his faults, very few international leaders made the decision to "test" Donald Trump on these sorts of issues. We are only a few months into the Biden Presidency and already we see the pattern of international leaders moving on things as if we were never there.
I remember back in College I played in a pretty competitive intramural basketball league. Mostly former High School players who were not quite up to playing in college. My own team had 3 former varsity high school starters on the roster. I did pretty well in that league. But occasionally I would get into a pick up game from time to time with a few of the actual players from the college team. Guys playing scholarship college hoops who were at a completely different level. The thing I most remembered is that when they decided to drive to the basket or make a move to take a shot, they made these moves like you were not even there. You could have been a cardboard cutout for all it mattered. A 6' 1" guy mirroring a 6' 6" college athlete. No matter how fast I was or how high I could jump, I didn't really offer much in the way of resistance (and not like you were going to take a charge in a pick up game).
That is how I think many of our world leaders view Biden and his Administration. They are simply cardboard cutouts and offer no real resistance. Even if they wanted to (and they don't) - they may not be capable of actually doing anything. Iran and Hamas just make their drives to the basket and pretend that whatever resistance that the Biden team is going to provide is not really much of a threat. We all know that they are not going to literally get between them and the attacks and take that charge.

Restoring the anti Nuclear limitations on Iran does not strengthen Iran.
Your isolationist philosophy was thrown out by every one on December 7th in 1941.
If we verify everything, the more moderate Iranians who were born after the Iranian crisis in the late 70s.
The Persian empire attacked Greece!
Biden is not trying to strengthen Iran asshole
Biden stated he supports the two state solution.
Attacking him is unpatriotic behavior here and again and again
Will Democrats always wear masks??
In some ways, the political posturing surrounding masks is reminiscent of the aftermath of the September 11 attacks on New York and Washington, when questioning the necessity of, say, removing one’s shoes at the airport was seen as something akin to treason. The fact that a person was vastly more likely to die in a car crash on the way to the airport than in a terrorist in-flight shoe bombing was compelling to no one; the fear of another attack (or in the case of Covid-19, another infectious wave) had dialled our risk tolerance down so close to zero that no precaution, no matter how disruptive to our daily lives, could be considered too much to ask. After all, what’s a little inconvenience in the name of fighting terrorism? Is your comfort more important than human lives?! Why do you hate America?
All of this might be dismissed as nothing more than the latest, dumbest skirmish in the culture wars, except that this one, unfortunately, is having wider repercussions on the landscape of public health. At this point, America’s best hope of returning to living, working, and socialising as we did before is to vaccinate as many people as possible — and to persuade hesitant parties that it’s in their best interest to get jabbed, because once they do, they can get back to normal.
But when vaccinated people won’t remove their masks, they send the opposite message: that getting the vaccine changes nothing. Combined with visuals like this one — in which Kamala Harris wears a mask on a Zoom call, in a socially-distanced room where everyone present has been vaccinated — the impression being created by our political leadership and our media influencers is that the vaccines don’t work.
For a coalition that prides itself on caring about other people, the Left-wing pro-mask-even-after-vaccination folks are remarkably unconcerned that they might be discouraging their fellow Americans from participating in our most important life-saving public health measure. Instead, public responses to the vaccine-hesitant (including a video public service announcement that aired on the Jimmy Kimmel show) have been mainly centred on mocking them, an approach that does plenty to stoke existing tensions but very little to move us toward herd immunity.
Meanwhile, public health officials have struggled to explain to reluctant people why they ought to get jabbed, when doing so wouldn’t make any discernible improvement in their lives, and the vaccination rate in the States has been slowing lately, as supply begins to outstrip demand. The new CDC guidance may change this, assuming that America’s governors respond by lifting the mask mandates — but the update is already being met with hesitancy in places where many people have made overcautiousness into not just a virtue, but a lifestyle. Indeed, it is possible to envision a future in which normality is lost to us forever because the people who care were more invested in performing compassion for an audience of their tribesmen than practicing the real thing.
The real thing, though, is our only way forward.
On almost day one he reversed the President Obama's nuclear limitations agreement.
On January 16, 2016, the International Atomic Energy Agency verified that Iran has completed the necessary steps under the Iran deal that will ensure Iran's nuclear program is and remains exclusively peaceful.
Before this agreement, Iran's breakout time -- or the time it would have taken for Iran to gather enough fissile material to build a weapon -- was only two to three months. Today, because of the Iran deal, it would take Iran 12 months or more. And with the unprecedented monitoring and access this deal puts in place, if Iran tries, we will know and sanctions will snap back into place.
Here's how we got to this point. Since October, Iran has:
Shipped 25,000 pounds of enriched uranium out of the country
Dismantled and removed two-thirds of its centrifuges
Removed the calandria from its heavy water reactor and filled it with concrete
Provided unprecedented access to its nuclear facilities and supply chain
Because Iran has completed these steps, the U.S. and international community can begin the next phase under the JCPOA, which means the U.S. will begin lifting its nuclear-related sanctions on Iran. However, a number of U.S. sanctions authorities and designations will continue to remain in place.
From day one after the former President Trump tweeted tirade that we were withdrawing from the Obama and NATO allies supporters, they immediately reversed the.
Dismantled and removed two-thirds of its centrifuges
Removed the calandria from its heavy water reactor and filled it with concrete
Provided unprecedented access to its nuclear facilities and supply chain.
If your crazy decision happens, Iran will become a nuclear weaponized nation.
You are putting your political views above the safety of the United States.
Restoring the anti Nuclear limitations on Iran does not strengthen Iran.
There are no such thing as coincidences, Roger!
Or in other words, every effect has a cause.
Obama sucked up to Iran - Hamas was attacking Israel.
Trump got hard on Iran - Hamas stopped attacking Israel.
Biden goes back to Obama strategy - Hamas restart their attacks on Israel.
If you have a better explanation I would love to hear it.
https://obamawhitehouse.archives.gov/issues/foreign-policy/iran-deal.
A lot of sanctions remained in place until they continued their demolition of the nuclear power plants and uranium refineries.
If you have a better explanation I would love to hear it.
Bad Orange Man had mean tweets
Obama sucked up to Iran - Hamas was attacking Israel. Fucking stupid trolling squad. It like the birther theory bullshit. They were shutting down the nuclear program.
Trump got hard on Iran - Hamas stopped attacking Israel. The conditions in the Palestinian region are horrific. So was Biden responsible??? Another political agenda.
Biden goes back to Obama strategy - Hamas restart their attacks on Israel.
It's far more complicated than a political agenda.
The three things could have happened even if Trump had stolen the election. But you wouldn't be saying this.
You assume those three things.
The worst terrorist attack on the United States happened under Bush.
The Democrats didn't blame Bush, the soars Yahoo thing was about American support the President Bush.
Biden is under pressure from both sides right now.
I'm optimistic because Biden doesn't conduct foreign affairs via tweets.
I'm optimistic because Biden doesn't conduct foreign affairs via tweets.
The State Department was appalled by him.
The worst terrorist attack on the United States happened under Bush
Thanks to Bubba lobbing several millions of dollars in cruise missiles, that took out some empty tents in the ‘Stan
WaPo
Bill Clinton’s terrorism strategy led to 9/11. Hillary Clinton’s is the exact same thing.
Instead of criticizing Biden, the Republicans and Democrats should consult with the President and Israeli leaders.
The United States and Arab states attempting to de-escalate the situation can only do so much. As former representative Jane Harman (D-Calif.) aptly said on CNN’s “State of the Union” on Sunday: “Well, the sad truth … is that we can’t want peace on the ground more than the parties want peace on the ground. … And what’s happened here, in my view, is that both sides have escalated this to a point where I worry that we won’t be — they won’t be able to crawl back.” That’s a gloomy conclusion increasingly shared by Democrats, Republicans, the administration and Arab neighbors.
The 9/11 commission didn't blame Clinton as much as Bush because he ignored information on the al Qaeda threat provided by the Clinton administration.
Roger...
Are you claiming that Hamas was not attacking Israel previously?
Are you claiming that Hamas stopped attacking Israel for much of the past four years?
Are you claiming that Hamas is not attacking Israel currently?
The rest is just red herring. The Nuclear deal was always a cop out and an invitation to eventually legitimatize their nuclear capabilities (as long as they pretended to follow some of these guidelines for a few years).
I'm optimistic because Biden doesn't conduct foreign affairs via tweets.
If "no mean tweets" is your qualifier, you're too fucking stupid to discuss this topic.
In case you haven't noticed, oh plagiarizer with yellow teeth, EVERY one of our adversaries around the globe has been emboldened by our installation of Slow Joe. All of the peace achievements in the ME by Trump - including his tweets - are now gone. There is now no impediment to jihadist aggression anywhere on earth, and the reformulation of 0linsky's JV team - ISIS/ISIL, if basically a foregone conclusion.
The "Egyptian involvement" that you crave is stupid on stilts. The last time they got involved it was via the Moose-limb Brudderhood, which fucked things up six ways from Sunday.
Stick to Sec. 320 alky. Skip the economic and foreign policy, both of which you suck at.
Bullshit
The plan would have stopped the nuclear program forever.
The agreement never expired.
It said that if they started a new nuclear weapons program, the economic sanctions would have been restored.
It didn't have an expectation date.
The Nuclear deal was always a cop out and an invitation to eventually legitimatize their nuclear capabilities (as long as they pretended to follow some of these guidelines for a few years).
The deal was always un-enforceable, the restrictions were phony, and the whole thing was a fucking joke from Day One. Kabuki theatre at it's finest. Which is what made it so easy for Trump to abandon it. And which also kept Iran at bay from creating more trouble in the region. Especially when Trump blowed up Solemani.
We are no longer to be feared or even respected. Not with a doddering dementia patient as our "leader."
Always Wrong Roger.
"The plan would have stopped the nuclear program forever."
Nope
"Trump got hard on Iran - Hamas stopped attacking Israel.
Biden goes back to Obama strategy - Hamas restart their attacks on Israel.
If you have a better explanation I would love to hear it." CHT
He doesn't.
BTW Alky this was before Bad Orangeman pulled us out
Iran rejects U.S. demand for U.N. visit to military sites
Iranian government spokesman Mohammad Baqer Nobakht responded at a weekly news conference broadcast on state television on Tuesday.
“Iran’s military sites are off limits,” he said. “All information about these sites are classified. Iran will never allow such visits. Don’t pay attention to such remarks that are only a dream.”
If Iran is able to develop nuclear weapons, the middle east nuclear war would potentially destroy the planet.
The Israelis have nuclear weapons, even though they have not exploded them.
The Russians and the Chinese.
We need to prevent them from getting nuclear weapons.

Pakistan, India, France North Korea just as relevant

Great Britain too and many others
Trump quit the deal on May 8, 2018.
Since then the Iranians have been developing nuclear weapons at a record speed.
Of course my article is from 2917 when they refused inspections
THWAP!
But unlike you. I have been checking out things. This makes sense.
Iran and Hamas
Returning to the deal would result in Iran receiving billions of dollars in sanctions relief in exchange for limiting its nuclear program. Tehran could use that money to fund the militants since "Iran is Hamas' top sponsor," explained Schanzer.
He added that the U.S. would inadvertently find itself indirectly supporting both sides of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
The Israeli Iron Dome missile defence system (L) intercepts rockets (R) fired by the Hamas movement towards southern Israel from Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza Strip as seen in the sky above the Gaza Strip overnight on May 14, 2021.
"That, by the way, may contribute to some extent (to) why the U.S. has been a little more silent as Israel has been operating with impunity over the last day or so," he added, saying that Israel has "got the upper hand in this conflict."
The U.S. may remain silent for a few more days, which would allow Israel to weaken the Hamas militant group further, he said.
Ryan Bohl, a Middle East and North African analyst at risk consultancy Stratfor, told CNBC's "Street Signs Asia" that the U.S. is the only country in the world that could change Israeli behavior, and there are "emerging signs" that Washington wants a ceasefire. He agreed that Israel is in the driver's seat of the conflict.
President Biden hasn't said anything about the nuclear limitations Obama plans.
Sometimes I take off my political bias.
Biden might have a plan to get a cease fire agreement between Hamas and Israel.
If Iran doesn't have enough money to support the terrible missile attacks on Israeli civilians!

actually it came out that Iran was already violating the "agreement" before Trump got us out, with the support of the rest of the Middle East except Iran.
No wonder Iran supported Biden
and loves the previous pallets of cash
eagerly awaiting more

Alky the Qassam rocket is $300-800 an iron dome missile is $40k
Do the math, oh yeah you aren’t good at that
It didn't have an expectation date.
It didn't need one because it didn't have any enforceable teeth to begin with.
The plan would have stopped the nuclear program forever.
You must be talking about a different plan.
I am talking about the agreement that Obama and gang entered us into. It would allow Iran to continue to enrich uranium for peaceful purposes and supposedly temporarily shut down the facilities that had been enriching uranium at weapons grade (10 or 15 years depending on the facility in question).
Those facilities were underground or otherwise hidden and have not been inspected. Once those facilities were reopened, we would be right back to the cat and mouse games that Iran has always played.
For all we know, they have already reopened them (if they ever shut them down) and inspectors are not inspecting because we believe them when they say that they shut them down.
Either way... the idea that we would suspend sanctions and provide Iran with actual cash payments for this plan was appeasement. It might be offered to be Obama and other world leaders were doing little more than engaging in some serious Iranian boot licking.
