Sure seems like Maricopa has something to hide?

Missing data, subpoena noncompliance bring Arizona election audit to a boil
The head of the Arizona Senate confirmed this week that an audit of the Maricopa County election in November has identified significant irregularities as well as missing data, with the county itself also being warned of its ongoing noncompliance with the Senate's audit subpoenas. The dispute is likely to boil over in public next week when county election officials have been asked to testify before a Senate hearing to address the legislature's concerns.
State Senate President Karen Fann said in a Wednesday letter to the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors that the Senate was seeking resolution to three "serious issues that have arisen in the course of the Senate’s ongoing audit of the returns of the November 3, 2020 general election in Maricopa County."
Fann also called attention to what she said were "apparent omissions, inconsistencies, and anomalies relating to Maricopa County's handling, organization, and storage of ballots" revealed by the audit thus far, including a lack of chain-of-custody documentation as well as "a significant number of instances in which there is a disparity between the actual number of ballots contained in a batch and the total denoted on the pink report slip accompanying the batch."
The senator also warned of what appears to be the deletion of an entire database from a county election machine. Data from the machine "suggests that the main database for all election related data for the November 2020 General Election has been removed" from it.

Much like Fulton county and others, Maricopa is looking to completely buck any attempts to actually review and audit their data. It's one thing to so a recount (as was done in a few places) but a recount is not the same as an audit and is designed to only catch mistakes made in the original counts. Recounts really does little to determine if there was any fraud.

Preliminary finding have already found numerous examples of more votes being reported to the Secretary of State and the actual number of ballots that should have existed based on their own records of receipt of mail-in ballots and in person signatures. There is literally no good reason for this, and part of the reason why Georgia and other states are demanding an almost real time reporting from each county of the gross number of votes that they had received, including a breakdown of mail in versus in person ballots.  There is literally no good reason why counties cannot provide that information long before they provide their final counted totals with who those ballots went to.

Once the total number of votes have been reported to the Secretary of State, then it will be impossible for counties to provide a count higher than that without exposing real counting problems or tampering of the counts. Gone will be the days of large Democratic stronghold counties "finding" more ballot boxes sometimes a day or more after the election is over, as everyone would already know how many ballots the country received through the mail along with how many signatures exist on same day in person voting.

To be clear, none of this has anything to do with "overturning" any election results. It has to do with figuring out what can be done to better secure our elections, take the concerns off the table, and make sure everyone believes in the integrity of things moving forward.

A devastating letter written by Arizona Senate President Karen Fann on voting irregularities, and probably fraud, in Maricopa County during the 2020 Presidential Election. Even the database was illegally deleted after the subpoena to produce the information. Senate President Fann has invited Maricopa County officials to a public hearing on May 18 to allow them the opportunity to try to explain what happened to the missing databases, ballots, and other significant issues. The Fake News and Lamestream Media is doing everything they can not to cover this major story. They just refuse to talk or report about it. They don’t want the United States or World to see what is going on with our corrupt, third world election. Read the full letter here: https://cdn.donaldjtrump.com/djtweb/general/5-12-21_Letter_to_Maricopa_County_Board.pdf

Scott, democracies have been destroyed by the voters. The Germans elected Adolf Hitler and Mussolini did the same thing in Italy.

The Republicans are scared of the people who have the right to choose their leaders.

I think in 47 states Republicans are trying to pass laws making it more difficult to vote.

Sowing doubt about the election is the most dangerous situation in history.

Several historians say the same time.

And one more time, you believe that a deep state is trying to destroy capitalism and replace it with Socialism of even like the Red Scare of the 50s.

Az Central Fake news posted
The audit is being conducted by a far right wing conspiracy theorists.

Who is verifying the voter information? Cyber Ninjas has refused to say who is involved in the review of voter information. Beyond recounting ballots, the audit planned to verify voter information and voting history, although Cyber Ninjas' CEO has refused to provide details on who would do this. Liz Harris, a Republican who has called the audit a fight between "good and evil," has been canvassing in search of widespread voter fraud in Arizona. Harris initially said her group of volunteers was helping with the audit, but she couldn’t say on what part because of a nondisclosure agreement. She later said she doesn’t know what her involvement may be. Senate President Karen Fann, in a May 7 response to the U.S. Department of Justice's concerns that this aspect of the audit could illegally intimidate voters, said plans to knock on voters door had been dropped.

5 key details we know

Independence and transparency of audit questioned. Election experts say the audit is biased, lacks transparency and is impossible to complete in a short timeframe. "I don't think there is any good end to this," said Tammy Patrick, a senior adviser of elections at Democracy Fund.

Audit leader pushed unfounded election fraud claims. The Arizona Senate hired Cyber Ninjas CEO Doug Logan to lead the audit. A deleted Twitter account that appears to belong to Logan pushed unfounded election fraud claims, including sharing this post in late 2020: "I’m tired of hearing people say there was no fraud. It happened, it’s real, and people better get wise fast."

Audit won't be finished by original deadline. Auditors initially said they would be done by May 14, but the audit could extend into summer if the current pace continues. Bennett backed off the May 14 deadline this month, saying the ballots would be moved to another area of the fairgrounds on May 14 to make way for high school graduations scheduled at the coliseum. The audit would then pick back up in the coliseum, he said.

Feds have raised concerns. The U.S. Department of Justice has questioned how ballots are being kept secure and how auditors will avoid voter intimidation if they go knocking on their doors. Arizona Senate President Karen Fann wrote in response that the Senate determined it would "indefinitely defer" knocking on doors as part of the audit.

Not a bipartisan recount. Recruitment of people to recount the ballots has extended into right-wing circles with no guarantee those doing the recount are bipartisan.

Maricopa County has already conducted multiple audits of the 2020 election.

Before and after every election, it's standard procedure in the county to conduct a "logic and accuracy" test on election equipment. In 2020, those tests turned up no issues. State law also mandates a hand-count audit of a statistically significant sample of ballots after each election to be compared to the machine count. That, too, came up with 100% accuracy, according to county election officials.

In January, after waves of protests, the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors approved two additional audits of election equipment. The board hired two independent firms, Pro V&V and SLI Compliance, which are certified by the U.S. Elections Assistance Commission. The firms conducted their separate audits in February and found no issues.

They checked out the computer system and found zero evidence of hacking.

Get help.

Sure Rog... Why not just say it was audited a hundred times already? That would be even more emphatic that you believe this forensic audit is unnecessary.

Again... this is not about overturning elections or anything else. This is about the fact that anywhere between half and a third (depending on the poll) still don't believe that Biden won "fair and square" and a majority in most every poll believes that there was at least some election fraud and ballot tampering.

So what good does it do these states (or counties) to fight audits?

All that does is make it appear that they are guilty of something?

And my god... deleting voter databases on servers that are under subpoena? That is called obstruction and it is an actual crime.

If Republicans had the House, we’d be in a dictatorship.

They wouldn’t choose democracy over self-interest. They would choose treason over truth, as they frequently have before, to save their jobs. If they had the House and Senate they wouldn’t hesitate to stop a Biden presidency.

If it wasn’t for the integrity of the election process, we’d be in a dictatorship now.

Today with a dictator who could then, with the help of the Republican traitors to the Constitution, corrupt the elections of 2022 and 2024 and stay in power until he died.

big lie (German: große Lüge; often the big lie) is a propaganda technique used for political purposes, defined as "a gross distortion or misrepresentation of the facts, especially when used as a propaganda device by a politician or official body."[1] The German expression was coined by Adolf Hitler, when he dictated his 1925 book Mein Kampf, to describe the use of a lie so "colossal" that no one would believe that someone "could have the impudence to distort the truth so infamously." Hitler claimed the technique was used by Jews to blame Germany's loss in World War I on German general Erich Ludendorff, who was a prominent nationalist political leader in the Weimar Republic. Historian Jeffrey Herf says the Nazis used the idea of the original big lie to turn sentiment against Jews and bring about the Holocaust.

Adolf Hitler claimed that the "big lie" spread by the Jews was the idea that General Erich Ludendorff (pictured) was responsible for Germany's loss in WWI.

Herf maintains that Joseph Goebbels and the Nazi Party actually used the big lie propaganda technique that they described – and that they used it to turn long-standing antisemitism in Europe into mass murder.[2] Herf further argues that the Nazis' big lie was their depiction of Germany as an innocent, besieged land striking back at an "international Jewry", which the Nazis blamed for starting World War I. Nazi propaganda repeated over and over the claim that Jews held power behind the scenes in Britain, Russia, and the United States. It spread claims that the Jews had begun a "war of extermination" against Germany, and it used these claims to assert that Germany had a right to "annihilate" the Jews as self-defense.[3]

Stockman: Good Riddance, Liz Cheney!

Tyler Durden's Photo
BY TYLER DURDEN
THURSDAY, MAY 13, 2021 - 08:45 PM
Authored by David Stockman via Contra Corner blog,

There have been few politicians in modern times who have done more to undermine personal liberty, capitalist prosperity, small government and especially world peace than the Cheney Clan. So upon Liz Cheney’s ouster from the #3 job in the US House GOP hierarchy, we say: Good riddance!

And, no, we don’t begrudge her vote to impeach the Donald. The man is such an insufferable bully-boy and megalomaniac that upon his richly deserved exile from Washington her "yes" vote amounted to little more than a slightly offensive Bronx cheer. But what is profoundly offensive about the Cheneys is their central role in high-jacking the Republican Party in behalf of the demented worldview of a small priesthood of neocon intellectuals. The latter have turned the Warfare State of the now defunct cold war with the Soviet Union into a globe-spanning imperialist monster that has bled America dry fiscally and unleashed unjustified destruction and mayhem all around the planet in a manner that would have put even Imperial Rome to shame.

Last 2 paragraph

Undoubtedly, the Donald’s rejection of the neocon imperium, poorly and inconsistently executed as it was, is what turned the Cheneys into enemies. And for that, at least, he deserves some credit. Moreover, if his misguided followers in the ranks of House Republicans can now get rid of the Cheney Clan, he deserves even more.

At least that would be a start toward the restoration of a conservative party free from the toxic influence of Washington’s neocon cabal, and therefore capable of re-engaging with its real mission in American democracy—that of bringing Leviathan to heel on both sides of the Potomac.

Chris Vance, a former chair of the Washington State Republican Party, state representative and a Senior Fellow at the Niskanen Center, reports on “A new movement to restore or replace the Republican party” at The Seattle Times:

The rise of Donald Trump and the transformation of the Republican party created a new American political movement as millions of formerly Republican leaning voters, and hundreds of prominent former Republican leaders, turned against Trump and his new authoritarian Republican party. Multiple organizations were formed to help defeat Trump and elect President Joe Biden and other Democrats in 2020, including the Lincoln Project, Republican Voters Against Trump and Stand Up Republic. Together, we were part of the coalition that won the 2020 election.

….This week, I joined with dozens of prominent current and former Republicans, including former U.S. Reps. Barbara Comstock of Virginia and Charlie Dent of Pennsylvania, former Gov. Bill Weld, of Massachusetts, Ambassador Jim Glassman, former Secretary of Transportation Mary Peters, former Director of Homeland Security Michael Chertoff, former Chairman of the Republican National Committee Michael Steele, and many more, to announce our support for a manifesto, “A Call for American Renewal,” and to pledge ourselves to “either reimagine a party dedicated to our founding ideals or else hasten the creation of such an alternative.” In other words, over time we seek to either restore or replace the current Republican party.

Vance, now a self-described ‘Independent’, explains further:

Millions of us are now politically homeless. We believe there is a demand for a third option, for a movement dedicated to core American principles. Specifically, a movement or party which:

·  Supports a free, open society in which everyone can go as far as their efforts and talents will take them in a free-market economy, while maintaining a robust safety net for those who need assistance.

·  Welcomes America’s growing diversity and stands for the protection of the rights of all Americans to live their lives as they choose, free from racism, sexism, homophobia, and all forms of hate and intolerance.

·  Is committed to energetic American leadership around the world to protect democracy and human rights.

·  Opposes voter suppression and supports common sense reforms to enhance democracy.

·  And first and foremost, stands for truth, democracy, the Constitution, and the rule of law, and stands against nativist, isolationist authoritarianism.

Politically, we will work in partnership with others to elect candidates who share our goals, including moderate Democrats, courageous principled Republicans, or those running under a new party banner. As this movement takes shape, I will be working to explore the possibility of creating a Washington state chapter.

Vance adds,

The elections of 2016 and 2020 blew up our political system. The Republican party is shrinking, as record numbers of voters now call themselves independents. The number of Americans identifying as Republican is the lowest it has been in a decade, according to a recent Gallup poll. As I have written in these pages, and elsewhere, we live in an era of political realignment and instability as our party system is changing.

Could such a centrist movement play a pivotal role in the 2022 midterm elections, helping moderate Democrats win in swing districts and states? Anything that further divides the GOP is likely to be good for Democrats in the longer run. But 2022 is next year, and this group will have to move fast to have a significant impact on the midterm elections. If Republicans win Senate control and a House majority, they may not matter much.

After the Jan. 6 riot at the US Capitol, 11 members of the Kinzinger family sent a handwritten two-page letter, saying he was working with “the devil’s army” for his public break with the president.

“Oh my, what a disappointment you are to us and to God!” they wrote. “You have embarrassed the Kinzinger family name!”

Meanwhile.. here is the real issue

“There doesn’t seem to be a camera or a microphone he won’t run to,” said La Salle County GOP chairman Larry Smith. La Salle County censured Mr. Kinzinger last month. “He used to talk to us back in the good old days.”

Another person who would be much better off if he just got past is never-Trump attitudes and TDS. Which is why he will likely not be in Congress after 2022.

An indicted close confidant of Florida Republican Rep. Matt Gaetz, has struck a deal with federal prosecutors to greatly reduce his criminal case and plans to help investigators in their sprawling sex crimes investigation.

Joel Greenberg, a former Seminole County, Florida, tax commissioner, had faced decades in prison on 33 federal counts that ranged from identity theft to sex trafficking of a minor, as well as fraud and bribery allegations.

He plans to now plead guilty to six federal charges, after striking a deal with prosecutors, including a count of sex trafficking of a child, according to a new court filing.

The Orlando-based federal court revealed on Thursday that Greenberg was planning to plead guilty next week, but details weren't initially available.

Federal investigators are still examining whether Gaetz broke federal sex trafficking, prostitution and public corruption laws and whether he had sex with a minor. Gaetz has not been charged and denies any wrongdoing. The congressman isn't mentioned in the 86 pages of plea deal documents released on Friday.
