The facts don't lie... but the media does!

Government Stats Don’t Lie: Biden Is Getting It Wrong across the Board

Today is one hell of a hump day already: New government figures show that the Biden administration is getting it wrong on the border, getting it wrong on the economy and job creation, and getting it wrong on inflation.

Does anyone wonder why we no longer hear anything about Covid, other than how well the vaccine roll out has been going? Hint, we had over 800 people die yesterday (over 100 from California alone) and what you are hearing is nothing.

We had people talk around in circles as to how we went from a projected million new jobs to about a fourth of that, but nobody suggested it was bad policy. Same holds true for the inflation figures. Lots of baffled economist, apparently because the obvious reasons were hidden in plain sight.

We now not only have kids in cages, but we have kids and families being kept outdoors, penned in, in places like under bridges (where ironically the homeless also like to go). Apparently someone thought that following the lead of homeless was a good idea. Good, bad, or indifferent, the President demands that this is nothing unusual (in spite of record numbers) and most in the media apparently takes him at his word.

Oh, and I just paid like $3.50 for gas yesterday. That is over a dollar higher than it has been. We are not directly affected by the gas pipeline issue, but obviously this is having an effect everywhere? What exactly  is our crackpot Administration doing about this?

Let's be clear here folks. If this stuff was happening while Donald Trump was still President the media would be all over him like stink on shit. They would be running daily stories about the horrible state of the country and the incompetence on display by the President.

But... instead the President is Joe Biden and we are hearing "crickets".

The letter from the former officers is propaganda.

group of retired U.S. military admirals and generals signed a letter released Tuesday questioning President Biden's fitness for office and seemingly challenging the outcome of the 2020 presidential election.

The letter, signed by 124 former military leaders and posted by Flag Officers 4 America, said the "Constitutional Republic is lost" without "fair and honest elections that accurately reflect the 'will of the people.'"

"The FBI and Supreme Court must act swiftly when election irregularities are surfaced and not ignore them as was done in 2020," the letter added.

Former Attorney General William Barr said in December the Justice Department uncovered no evidence of voter fraud that could have affected the outcome of the 2020 election, The Associated Press (AP) reported.

America is changing faster than ever! Add Changing America to your Facebook or Twitter feed to stay on top of the news.

The signatories also questioned the "mental and physical condition of the Commander in Chief," adding that national security issues require quick and "accurate" decisions "involving life and limb."

"Recent Democrat leadership's inquiries about nuclear code procedures sends a dangerous national security signal to nuclear armed adversaries, raising the question about who is in charge," the letter said. "We must always have an unquestionable chain of command."

While in office, former President Trump periodically questioned Biden's mental capacity and age during the campaign season, at times referring to him as "sleepy Joe."

Kevin O'Connor, the president's doctor, released a report earlier this month maintaining that Biden is a "healthy, vigorous, 77-year-old male, who is fit to successfully execute the duties of the Presidency," Business Insider reported.

The signatories additionally compared potential challenges to ideological battles not seen since America's founding.

"We are in a fight for our survival as a Constitutional Republic like no other time since our founding in 1776," they said. "The conflict is between supporters of Socialism and Marxism vs. supporters of Constitutional freedom and liberty."

A statement on the Flag Officers 4 America website, says that although its members are no longer engaged in active military service, they are "bound by that oath to do what we can, in our capacity today, to protect our nation from the threats to her freedom."

It is another Breitbart news story

It would be a very unusual situation, if you were going into a completely crowded situation where people are essentially falling all over each other, then you wear a mask. But any other time, if you’re vaccinated and you’re outside, put aside your mask. You don’t have to wear it.”

New body camera footage obtained by CNN shows the moment a DC police officer was brutally attacked by Trump supporters during the Capitol Hill insurrection.

Driving the news: The release of video comes a day after Republican members of Congress sought to downplay the Jan. 6 events, with some lawmakers calling the rioters "peaceful patriots" and comparing them to tourists.

The big picture: The body camera footage comes from DC Metropolitan police officer Michael Fanone. It shows him being swarmed, beaten and tased by pro-Trump rioters.

Fanone told CNN he was knocked unconscious at some point, and that he suffered a mild heart attack and concussion during the attack.Fanone can be heard in the video screaming as one rioter yells, "I got one!" It is not immediately clear what happens next, but another rioter seems to intervene and a voice is heard saying, "Don't hurt him."Fanone himself also pleads with the rioters not to hurt him, saying, "I have kids." He is later taken to safety inside a Capitol tunnel, where other police officers comfort him and call for medical attention.

Between the lines: Fanone said in an interview with CNN last month that he is dealing with a traumatic brain injury and post-traumatic stress disorder from the events of that day.

The officer called out elected officials who he says "downplay" what happened on Jan. 6, saying that he "experienced the most brutal, savage hand-to-hand combat of my entire life — let alone my policing career."

The Republicans don't care about police officers unless they don't kill a black drug addict.

Biden Worried Gas Shortages May Hurt Carter’s Chances Against Reagan

WASHINGTON, D.C.—As fuel shortages cause long lines at gas stations across the country, President Biden admitted he was worried that this may hurt Carter's chances against Reagan in the upcoming election.

"Listen, it's a real problem," said President Biden to his bathtub, which he had mistaken for his press pool. "People need gas. All the Latinx and poor kids need gas-- even the white kids. I'm just worried President Carter may not get reelected. Reagan's comin' on pretty strong."

Solutions proposed by Biden include building some sort of an "extra-large pipeline" to carry more gas into the country or making everyone exchange their automobiles for bicycles.

"We have to do something before Reagan catches Jimmy Carter in the polls!" said Biden.

White House sources report Biden is "fully committed" to solving the gas problem, and that he knows it's 2021 and he's the president.

Actually we've seen this repeatedly. Nothing new, it was new weeks if not months ago.

It was outside the capitol building

it was not an insurrection

The only armed protester inside the capitol that I am aware of was charged with an unloaded walking stick without even the batteries needed to make it operable.

The Capitol police however were heavily armed.

In fact one MURDERED a protester.

He has still not been publicly identified although he is rumored to be a black BLM supporter with prior incidents.

Inside video of the chambers show an eerie calm

The few that have leaked out

Why is that being hidden?

Of course some were unruly and should be charged.

Not flown back from all over the country and put in solitary confinement.

Even dems are calling that cruel and unusual treatment for people who have not had the Brady material shown to them or to have yet had their trial.

Why Is the Government Hiding January 6 Video Footage?

The American public still doesn’t know exactly what happened on January 6—and it’s clear the government will use any means necessary to keep it that way.

Joe Biden calls it the worst attack since the Civil War. Attorney General Merrick Garland compares it to the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing. The FBI is breaking down the doors of Iraq War veterans and small business owners who have no criminal records, and some are hauled off to rot in solitary confinement in a fetid D.C. jail, for their involvement in the alleged travesty.

The event, of course, is the roughly four-hour-long disturbance at the U.S. Capitol on January 6. As mostly nonviolent Americans dared to protest Congress’ certification of a clearly fraudulent presidential election in a place that once was considered “The People’s House,” lawmakers scurried for cover as reporters and photographers captured part of the ruckus on video and still shots to wield as political ammunition against Donald Trump and his supporters.

But have we seen a full and fair depiction of exactly what happened that day? The answer, as evidenced by an ongoing coverup by the U.S. Capitol Police and the Justice Department, clearly is no.

Almost all the January 6 video seen by the public isn’t from official government sources but by social media users and journalists on the scene. For example, the widely viewed footage of protestors occupying the Senate chamber was recorded by a New Yorker journalist.

But thousands of hours of real-time footage is in the hands of the Capitol Police—and that agency, along with government lawyers and federal judges, is using every legal trick possible to keep the trove hidden from the public even as clips are presented in court as evidence against hundreds of January 6 defendants.

According to an affidavit filed in March by Thomas DiBiase, the Capitol Police department’s general counsel, the building is monitored 24/7 by an “extensive system of cameras” positioned both inside and outside the building as well as near other congressional offices on the grounds.

The system captured more than 14,000 hours of footage between noon and 8 p.m. on January 6; the archive was made available to two Democratic-controlled congressional committees, the FBI, and the D.C. Metropolitan Police department. (After a request by Congress, the agency reportedly handed over footage from the entire 24-hour period.)

Capitol Police also produced selective clips for Democratic House impeachment managers to use in the trial against Donald Trump.

But Capitol Police argue that making all the tapes available to defense attorneys —let alone to the American public—could provoke future violence. “The Department has significant concerns with the release of any of its footage to defendants in the Capitol attack cases unless there are safeguards in place to prevent its copying and dissemination,” DiBiase wrote March 17. “Our concern is that providing unfettered access to hours of extremely sensitive information to defendants who already have shown a desire to interfere with the democratic process will . . . [be] passed on to those who might wish to attack the Capitol again.”

The Justice Department, in numerous cases, is seeking protective orders to rigorously limit how surveillance video is handled by defense attorneys. Recordings have been deemed “highly sensitive” government material subject to onerous rules; the accused only have access to the evidence in a supervised setting. Clips cannot be copied, downloaded, shared, or reproduced in any fashion.

Oh pedo, since you failed so miserably yesterday after your slanderous claim that Trump would allow Afghans that assisted our troops to be slaughtered, I thought I’d give you a little assist

Sakhidad Afghan was 19 when he started working as an interpreter for the U.S. military in Afghanistan, in 2009. His father was sick and he wanted to help support their extended family of 18. In his first year, he saw combat with the Marines in the Battle of Marjah, but he remained an interpreter until the fall of 2014, when American troops drew down and his job disappeared. By then he’d received an anonymous death threat over the phone, so he’d applied for a special visa to live in the United States. He’d been in the application pipeline for three years when, in March 2015, he went to see about a new interpreting job in Helmand.

Days later, one of his brothers got a phone call from a cousin, asking him to come over and look at a picture that had been posted on Facebook. The picture was of Sakhidad; he had been tortured and killed and left by the side of the road. He was 24. A letter bearing the Taliban flag was found stuffed into a pants pocket. It warned that three of his brothers, who also worked for coalition forces, were in for the same.

The real problem is how many things are happening now, not caused by the President or former President.

WASHINGTON - A sharp rise in gas prices and inflation, combined with turbulence in the job market, is creating new economic pressures for President Joe Biden just as he tries to secure a legacy-defining set of domestic spending proposals.

Over the past week, the Biden administration has been met with disappointing economic benchmarks, including lackluster hiring and a surge in consumer prices. Meanwhile, rising gas prices and fuel shortages have hammered the Southeast. These pressures have weighed on the financial markets, as the Dow Jones industrial average and the S&P 500 fell sharply for the third day in a row.
The Washington Post.

So far, the White House has largely responded to these setbacks by either downplaying them or arguing that they amount to one-time aberrations related to the unusual circumstances tied to the rebound from the coronavirus pandemic. In some cases, the White House has said indicators such as a rebound in prices in the travel or hospitality industry reflect an economy beginning to return to health.

However, the head winds have galvanized Republican complaints about the administration's economic stewardship and its $1.9 trillion stimulus package at a pivotal moment for the president's domestic agenda. The White House is this week holding meetings with senior congressional leaders as it seeks progress on its $2.3 trillion jobs and infrastructure package, while simultaneously seeking approval of $1.8 trillion in additional domestic spending priorities. The latest economic tremors may try the White House's willingness to aggressively press major new policy changes...

Despite the ridiculous Sleepy Joe bullshit, he has appointed qualified experts to run the government as the Chief Executive.

Because of the slim margins, I am optimistic because he is the most experienced President ever elected.

The President is holding meetings again with both sides like Reagan.

The Republicans know that if they block everything they might be held accountable by the voters in 2020. If they still turnout, despite the Jim Crow 2021 Republicans attack on the popular vote.

Opposition Grows As Biden Pushes Taxpayer-Funded Racist Indoctrination Curriculum

Just weeks after the U.S. Department of Education supported by President Joe Biden introduced a proposed rule that uses the anti-American 1619 Project and hatemonger Ibram X. Kendi to guide its federal grant criteria for American history and civics education, opposition to the racist indoctrination curriculum is growing.

In addition to alleging that the United States is filled with “systemic racism” that can only be cured by “anti-racist” training that singles out white people as problems, the proposed curriculum would use taxpayer funds to push a muddled version of American history that hides behind promotions of “diversity, identities, histories, contributions, and experiences of all students.”

Parents and teachers in schools around the nation are facing off with progressives dead set on implementing critical race theory in schools, but Biden’s federal involvement adds a whole new layer of issues for some organizations and states that would be eligible for the education grants.

Shortly after the rule opened up for public comment, more than 30 GOP senators sent a letter to Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona asking him to withdraw the proposal and invest in American history programs that will empower future generations to continue making our nation the greatest force for good in human history.

“This is a time to strengthen the teaching of civics and American history in our schools. Instead, your Proposed Priorities double down on divisive, radical, and historically-dubious buzzwords and propaganda,” the letter states.

A similar letter calling on Biden to promote critical thinking and agenda-free education originated from Republicans in the House of Representatives.

“America is not a racist country and our tax dollars should not be spent to indoctrinate our children to believe that falsehood,” said Rep. Ken Calvert, one of the signees. “Students should be taught history in a fact-based manner, which of course includes slavery and the civil rights struggle of minorities. These appalling chapters in our history underscore the imperfect nature of our country. Our path to becoming a more perfect republic must ensure that no American is ever defined solely by the color of his or her skin. We should allow our local schools to teach our students how to think objectively and critically, not have a federal agency in Washington, D.C. tell them what to think.”

The James G. Martin Center for Academic Renewal in North Carolina is another group speaking out against the Biden administration’s “nearly exclusive focus on race in the supporting narrative” and failure to define broad, sweeping terms.

“The failure to provide equity or to track President Biden’s Executive Order, the use of discredited and divisive works in the supporting narrative, the failure to provide guardrails for research quality, and the failures to define terms and to account for student developmental levels all fatally poison this priority. It has become an embarrassment and a distraction to the Biden Administration. I urge you to withdraw it,” the letter to Cardona states.

Former White House counsel Don McGahn has agreed to testify before the House Judiciary Committee about his role in former special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation and subsequent report, according to court documents filed Wednesday.

Under the agreement, the panel will interview McGahn behind closed doors “as soon as possible,” rather than holding a public hearing. The interview will be transcribed and the transcript will be made public after McGahn’s attorneys, House counsel, and the Justice Department are given the opportunity to review it for accuracy.

The scope of the interview will be limited to “information attributed to Mr. McGahn in the publicly available portions of the Mueller Report,” any events that the report indicates involved McGahn, and whether McGahn’s statements to Mueller were truthful and accurately reflected in the report. McGahn is permitted to decline to answer questions deemed outside the agreed upon scope and the DOJ may instruct him not to answer certain questions, however, he will not be permitted to invoke executive privilege on “the publicly available portions of the Mueller report,” which would include the obstruction of justice volume of the report.

Given the agreed upon restrictions and parameters of the session, it appears that the committee is more concerned with confirming particular portions of the Mueller Report rather than seeking new information, specifically, whether Trump instructed McGahn to fire Mueller in an effort to end the investigation into Russian election meddling.

Sorry Rog, but what question does this answer?

The FACT is that 4 people out of 30,000 have been charged with assaulting a police officer. That isn't an opinion, a downplay, or anything else. It is the fact.

Another 80 have been charged with Assaulting, Resisting, or Impeding Certain Officers - which is a misdemeanor charge and basically involves any sort of "physical contact" with a police officer of any kind. So if a protester/rioter so much as brushed a police officer during the riot, they have been charged with this crime.

Again Roger... 30,000 people attended the Rally?

At this point 29,900 + of them were not involved in anything violent.

When does a rally/protest turn into a violent riot?

Because we have watched large groups of protesters standing off and fighting with police officers in Portland, Seattle, Mpls, and other places... and those have been described as "mostly peaceful". Pretty sure these people made up more than 0.28% of the total people at the riots?

Lawmakers want probe into FBI's 'suicide by cop' assessment in 2017 shooting targeting GOP

"We also urge you to conduct an internal investigation into how the FBI reached the conclusion of 'suicide by cop' and who was behind that process and determination," the legislators said in the letter.

More than one dozen House GOP lawmakers have signed a letter urging FBI Director Christopher Wray to conduct an internal probe into the FBI's claim that a 2017 shooting targeting GOP lawmakers at a baseball practice constituted "suicide by cop."

The letter, which also asked Wray to review the findings related to the incident, said that in 2017 FBI workers had indicated the perpetrator's motive for the shooting was "suicide by cop."

The lawmakers requested that Wray "review the FBI's findings of the 2017 attack, interview all witnesses who were present that morning, update the conclusions of the FBI's investigation, if warranted, and publicly release the findings. The author is a Democrat. But he makes sense about what is going on right now.

Not everyone who likes Donald J. Trump, of course, is subject to this sort of wild projection of hatefulness onto the opposition. And despite their cowardice in the face of Trump’s conquest of the GOP and the conservative movement, many conservative Republicans can be reasoned with and aren’t inclined to send the rest of us off to reeducation camps. Indeed, many of them would rather break bread with liberal “elitists” than with Marjorie Taylor Greene or Josh Hawley. But as Jonathan Chait pointed out back in 2015, the American conservative movement and the party is has long since controlled were fertile ground for fabulists:

The first moment when conservatives seized actual control of the party came, of course, in 1964 through the Goldwater movement. The Goldwater activists were driven by conspiratorial thinking. The campaign’s main tract, “A Choice Not an Echo,” written by Phyllis Schlafly, argued that the party could never lose if it campaigned wholeheartedly on conservative issues, but it had been betrayed by “a small group of secret kingmakers, using hidden persuaders and psychological warfare techniques, manipulated the Republican National Convention to nominate candidates who would sidestep or suppress the key issues.” Another key tract, “None Dare Call It Treason,” by John Stormer, alleged “a conspiratorial plan to destroy the United States into which foreign aid, planned inflation, distortion of treaty-making powers and disarmament all fit.” It sold 7 million copies and was distributed widely by Goldwater volunteers.

This apocalyptic strain has regularly infused conservative rhetoric.

And now it’s fully blooming, as even regular Republican pols regularly fulminate about socialist plots to “cancel” all conservatives, destroy all religion, seize all firearms, and in the meantime open up the borders to let more of those people come in so that the real American majority can be overwhelmed and subdued. This is a fever that is showing no signs of “breaking.” And there’s no known vaccine.

I have been saying that Trumpism stage four brain cancer is incurable.

Even among formerly conservative Republicans they are supporting an authoritarian leader.

Govt to ease up guidance on indoor mask-wearing

By ZEKE MILLER, MICHAEL BALSAMO Associated Press11m

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on Thursday will ease indoor mask-wearing guidance for fully vaccinated people, allowing them to safely stop wearing masks inside in most places, according to a person briefed on the announcement.

The new guidance will still call for wearing masks in crowded indoor settings like buses, planes, hospitals, prisons and homeless shelters, but could ease restrictions for reopening workplaces and schools.

Covid-19 deaths in the U.S. have tumbled to an average of around 600 per day — the lowest level in 10 months — with the number of lives lost dropping to single digits in well over half the states and hitting zero on some days.

Confirmed infections, meanwhile, have fallen to about 38,000 day on average, their lowest mark since mid-September. While that is still cause for concern, they have plummeted 85 percent from a peak of more than a quarter-million cases per day in early January.

The last time deaths were this low was early July, nearly a year ago. Covid-19 deaths in the U.S. topped out in mid-January at an average of more than 3,400 a day, just a month into the biggest vaccination drive in the nation's history.

411 people out of 30,000 have been rounded up and charged. Vast majority of them for misdemeanor charges.

As I stated only four people have been charged with "assaulting a police officer" (it's actually only three - as one of the three suspects is being charged twice for assault of a police officer and assault of a police officer with a deadly weapon).

The vast majority of people are being charged with what Thomas Adams is being charged with (or some variation):

- Knowingly Entering or Remaining in any Restricted Building or Grounds without Lawful Authority - 18 USC 1752

- Violent Entry and Disorderly Conduct on Capitol Grounds 40 USC 5104

- Obstruction of an Official Proceeding 18 USC 1512

All of these are misdemeanor charges with sentencing guidelines that would include no jail time for someone with no criminal record. Generally a fine or even just probation.

Coldheartedtruth Teller said...

Americans who are fully vaccinated can go without masks or physical distancing in most cases, even when they are indoors or in large groups, federal officials said Thursday, paving the way for a full reopening of society.
The change represents a huge shift symbolically and practically for pandemic-weary Americans, millions of whom have lived with the restrictions for more than a year. A growing number have complained they cannot do more even after being fully vaccinated and criticized the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention of being overly cautious. More than 117 million Americans are fully vaccinated, about 35 percent of the population.
CDC officials cited a growing body of real-world evidence demonstrating the efficacy of the coronavirus vaccines and noted the shots offer protection even against more contagious variants circulating in the United States. They also factored in the country’s declining cases, and the rarity of breakthrough infections in people who are fully vaccinated, but cautioned the guidelines could change again if the pandemic should worsen.
The relaxation of restrictions does not apply to airplanes or health-care settings. Officials also noted that some occupational settings may still require masks. They urged those who are immune-compromised to speak with their doctors before giving up their masks.
The guidance means that millions of fully vaccinated Americans can begin returning to pre-pandemic activities, including school and work, that they have largely eschewed since last March. The country is seeing the lowest number of new daily cases it has had in eight months, and deaths have decreased from a high of about 3,000 per day in January to about 600 per day now, as many of the most vulnerable, including the elderly, have been inoculated.

A pro-Trump mob descended on the Capitol January 6, and hundreds are facing criminal charges.

It took four hours to secure the building so Congress could certify Joe Biden's victory. Instead of hanging Mike Pence.

Four months later, 475 people have been charged. This searchable table shows them all so far.

Since supporters of then-President Donald Trump swarmed the US Capitol on January 6 - forcing Congress to go into lockdown and damaging the halls of government - 475 people have been arrested and charged with crimes.

The FBI is seeking the public's help to identify people who took part in one of the most documented crimes in US history.

But since many rioters were allowed to walk free on January 6, it's taking some time to track them down.

This table includes the names, charges, and links to court documents of all the people charged so far. We're keeping it updated as more names are released.

At a press conference on January 12, Michael Sherwin, the acting US attorney in Washington, DC, said the FBI had opened more than 170 subject files and expected the number of charges to grow into the hundreds.

By January 15, Steven D'Antuono, the assistant director in charge of the FBI's Washington field office, said the bureau had identified more than 270 suspects and taken 100 people into custody. As of May 10, two people have pleaded guilty to federal crimes stemming from the Capitol riots.

The number of people charged in the insurrection is expected to keep growing as FBI agents pour through video footage, social media posts, phone location data, and tips from the public.

Meaning you value the safety of the capital police more than local police.

Wrong again and again and.

State and Federal officials have two different methods and specific laws and limitations on the first amendment rights.

I want every one of them to be indicted if there is no reasonable doubt.

I don't believe that they are politically motivated.

The right wing keeps trying to discredit law enforcement agencies.

Hoover went after Martin Luther King Jr.. but since then the government has tried to make it non partisan.

The troll squad asshole who says that the FBI etc. are Democratic marxists.

You support charges against people who injured Capital police officers.

You do not support charges against people who have injured city cops?

If I am wrong...

Just say that you believe that every scum bucket BLM/Antifa bastard who so much as touched a cop deserves to be charged with several crimes... because you really do care about the safety of local police officers.

Or admit that you do not give a bigger shit about those cops.

Growing inflation is Biden's hidden tax on working Americans

The sharpest tax President Biden is levying upon Americans is one that was never passed by Congress, promised from the White House, or voted on by citizens at the ballot box. The invisible tax of rising inflation will do far more to harm working and middle-class Americans than Biden’s proposed tax hikes. The trillions of dollars in congressional spending and money printing from the Federal Reserve is already having a dramatic effect on the price of ordinary goods. Inflation has reached its highest point in years, and will likely reach the highest in two generations.

Over the past year, food prices are up 3.5 percent, with eggs and meat up by over 5 percent; gas is up 22 percent and is expected to get even higher by this summer; lumber is up 250 percent; new home prices are up $36,000, with overall housing up 11 percent; and new cars are up 9 percent, the highest in 68 years. In April, 13 percent of new car buyers paid more than the sticker price. Other goods — from household items, baby care and general merchandise — are already up between 5.2 and 7.2 percent from this time last year. The cost of eating out shot up by 3.7 percent over the past year, and some takeout specials such as chicken wings have nearly doubled. Coffee futures are up 24 percent since October. Even growing your own food has surged in price, with the cost of seeds and potted plants jumping by 10.5 percent.

Feeding the problem is the sharp price increase in commodities vital to our basic needs. Microchip prices are up by 25 percent over the last year, hiking the price of items from phones to televisions to car parts. Meanwhile, increased corn prices will further impact a variety of food products. Corn prices have nearly doubled since the start of the pandemic and reached a 13-year high. Along with corn, food prices are buoyed by a 59 percent increase in pork, 23 percent spike in soybean costs, and 21 percent increase in wheat prices. Whatever increase we’ve seen in grocery and restaurant bills will only accelerate as the trend continues.

Put it all together, and consumer prices are the highest they’ve been in eight and a half years. Economists now not only see the risk of inflation “higher than in the last two decades,” but the distinct risk of the Federal Reserve having to increase interest rates by the end of 2022.

The primary driver of the current inflation comes through money printing by the Federal Reserve. The Fed nearly doubled its bond purchases since the beginning of the pandemic, pumping almost $4 trillion into the economy. This is about as much as the Fed purchased between 2008 and 2014, during the worst of the Great Recession. From February 2020 to March 2021, the total of circulating cash, mutual funds and banking deposit money supply increased from $15.473 trillion to $19,896 trillion. The Fed effectively monetizes the federal government’s debt, creating both a cover for higher deficits and increasing the money supply further. From 2019 to now, the national debt jumped from just under 80 percent of gross domestic product to over 100 percent.

The second means of inflation comes through massive government spending. Between several “emergency” measures hastily passed under the guise of pandemic relief and President Biden’s massive new spending plans, we are looking at the potential for 1970s economic stagflation. Biden wants to spend nearly $2 trillion on a misleadingly-named “infrastructure” bill and $1.8 trillion in new social spending.

Lockdown Mongers Can Point Fingers, But The Science Is In: They’re To Blame

The ruling class is trying to blame those who were right about lockdowns from the start. Don't let them.

That data has gone out the window with all the other unsavory data, like the number of students cheated out of a full year of education and what that means for the future of our workforce, or the almost 100,000 businesses that permanently shut their doors. Lockdown proponents don’t like to talk about the fact that their policies resulted in the United States losing 3.5 percent of its GDP in 2020, without saving the more than 580,000 people whose deaths were attributed to the virus, plus untold lives lost to despair and a lack of access to preventative care. And what do we have to show for the $2.6 trillion in taxpayer cash lawmakers threw at the problem without a moment of introspection?

One fact we must not lose sight of, which the lockdown kings would prefer you’d forget, is that a number of scientists and other informed dissenters warned against locking down from the very beginning, only to be scorned and ignored by the corporate media, Fauci, Deborah Birx, and their bossy band of bureaucrats. These scientists were accused of murder, threatened with losing their esteemed jobs, and slandered by the hive-minded mob. Worse still, left-wing lockdown proponents are now pointing fingers at scientists who opposed them, trying to blame the anti-lockdown crowd for the deaths and disaster the shutdowns caused.

For instance, while the media lauded Gov. Andrew Cuomo as a pandemic hero while he locked down New York and ordered COVID patients to be housed in nursing homes alongside the pandemic’s most vulnerable, the same media excoriated leading scientists such as Dr. Sunetra Gupta, who opposed anti-science lockdowns while advocating for special measures to protect the elderly.

It’s safe to say the approach of the Oxford University professor and leading infectious disease epidemiologists would have been superior to that of the scandal-ridden governor, but Gupta’s detractors have blamed her for deaths that her guidance likely would have prevented. In The Guardian in January, Neil O’Brien, a Tory member of British Parliament, smeared Gupta and other anti-lockdowners for their “fantasies” and “tall tales,” saying they “make stuff up” and “have a hell of a lot to answer for.” In the same pages, George Monbiot called Gupta a “pundit” and said she “makes misleading claims about the pandemic.”

Gupta worked with two other notable public health experts in October 2020 to draft the Great Barrington Declaration, which was signed by numerous other doctors and scientific experts. The declaration called for implementing “focused protection” for vulnerable demographic groups while working toward herd immunity for resilient populations and avoiding detrimental lockdowns.

Fauci, the highest-paid federal employee who has been the biggest disgrace of the pandemic (second only to Communist China), said the declaration was “total nonsense” and “very dangerous.” The media called it the “epitome of arrogance” and reckless, implying that the Centers for Disease Control’s opposite approach of sweeping and invasive restrictions relied on “intellectual humility” — despite the latter assuming elites knew better than most Americans what would be best for each of them. The director-general of the World Health Organization, who is also a shill for the murderous CCP, called the idea “unethical.”

INTERESTING OPINION:

How Liberals Beat the GOP Attempt to ‘Own’ Them
by Angela Nagle:
“During the Trump years, while many were relishing the carnivalesque thrill of ‘owning the libs’, the libs were rethinking themselves and plotting their route back to power.

"Within four years they had consolidated the elites into a united front, while American elites have become more united than ever.

“What the liberals have done is to synthesize appealing elements of each of their rivals once in power while also appearing more moderate than either.

Their policy proposals have included
major national infrastructure spending,
including expanding the train system,
a capital gains tax increase
and a withdrawal of troops from Afghanistan.

"Whether they fulfill these promises is another question, I know. I have to be honest though.

"These are GOOD policies.”

I wonder if Scott was involved with Project Veritas

Some activists, aided by a British former spy, mounted a campaign during the Trump administration to discredit perceived enemies of President Trump inside the government, according to documents and people involved in the operations.

The campaign included a planned sting operation against Mr. Trump’s national security adviser at the time, H.R. McMaster, and secret surveillance operations against F.B.I. employees, aimed at exposing anti-Trump sentiment in the bureau’s ranks.

The operations against the F.B.I., run by the conservative group Project Veritas, were conducted from a large home in the Georgetown section of Washington that rented for $10,000 per month. Female undercover operatives arranged dates with the F.B.I. employees with the aim of secretly recording them making disparaging comments about Mr. Trump.

The campaign shows the obsession that some of Mr. Trump’s allies had about a shadowy “deep state” trying to blunt his agenda — and the lengths that some were willing to go to try to purge the government of those believed to be disloyal to the president.

Central to the effort, according to interviews, was Richard Seddon, a former undercover British spy who was recruited in 2016 by the security contractor Erik Prince to train Project Veritas operatives to infiltrate trade unions, Democratic congressional campaigns and other targets. He ran field operations for Project Veritas until mid-2018.

Israeli air and ground troops have launched an attack in the Gaza Strip, authorities said, as the latest round of fighting between Israel's military and Hamas, the Palestinian militant group ruling the Gaza Strip, continued.

Israel Defense Forces issued a short statement confirming that troops were on the ground, with more details to follow. In a new statement also released at about 1 a.m. local time Friday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the military operation will continue as long as it takes to restore law and order to the cities of Israel.

IDF Home Front Command ordered all Israelis living at the Gaza border to go into their safe rooms and stay there until further notice as well.

So far, 103 people, including 27 children and eight women, have been killed in the Gaza Strip since tensions escalated Monday. At least 580 others have been injured, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health.

They have been fighting for centuries.

Well I wish you were right, Roger..

But they are charging Capital protesters for just that.

Not Assaulting of an officer, but rather "Assaulting, Resisting or Impeding Certain Officers"

(which is specifically defined as making physical contact with a police officer - that does not qualify as an actual assault).

I am not making this shit up as you are. I am literally taking the charges that are being made against the Capital Protesters and looking up the actual definitions of the statutes.

These people are being charged with "making physical contact" with a police officer, Roger. It's written in plain English. All you have to do is take a few minutes to research it.

They are flying around the country, arresting people for simply being in the Capital building. They have charged dozens with this "Assaulting, Resisting or Impeding Certain Officers".

So yeah... I wish you were right and that people would not be charged for simply making physical contact with a police officer. But the fact is that they are.
