Ever notice that only Trump haters believe that the Capital riot is equivalent to 3000 Americans dying from terrorism?

"I'd like to see Jan. 6 burned into the American mind as firmly as 9/11."

So said George Will on ABC's “This Week” on Sunday, in what is a growing chorus by super-serious people in political media pushing a super-insulting comparison between the Jan. 6 Capitol riots and the 9/11 attacks that occurred almost 20 years ago.

You hear a lot of people complain about the false equivalency of comparing the Antifa/BLM riots to the Capital riot. In spite of the fact that Antifa/BLM are more violent, more destructive, infinitely more frequent, and more dangerous than what happened at the Capital... many liberals demand that the Capital riot was worse than all of the Antifa/BLM riots all together.

Obviously the false equivalency according to them has nothing to do with any tangible actions, but rather it is entirely based on the transparent motivation of politics. The capital riot was worse not because the riot was worse. The capital riot was worse because it was conservatives who were upset at their conception that Joe Biden benefitted from election fraud, and they stormed the capital building in an attempt to disrupt the electoral college vote counting.

Now preventing the ECV from being counted would not have prevented Joe Biden from being sworn in as President, much less keep Donald Trump in office. It would have had no more or no less effect than if the hundreds of liberals who stormed the federal senate building would have been able to find the Kavanaugh confirmation committee and disrupted that meeting. Both are examples of hundreds of people entering a federal capital building without permission and trying to disrupt a process they were unhappy with.

The real false equivalency is to pretend that a single riot in which only one person was directly killed (a rioter) and only three others indirectly killed (also rioters) is somehow the same as an event where three thousand Americans lost their lives, thousands of others were directly affected, and probably tens of thousands were indirectly affected.

Those who seek to compare the two are not just irrational, but delusional. You need a special motivation to fall this deep into this sort of state of mind. There is one explanation and someday psychologists will look back on this period of time and see a mass delusion sprung from an irrational hatred of the bad orange man. Trump derangement syndrome will become historical lore!

Facebook Will Suspend Trump for Two Years
June 4, 2021 at 12:38 pm EDT By Taegan Goddard 20 Comments

Facebook said that it plans to suspend Donald Trump from its platform until at least January 2023 following his comments in the wake of the Capitol insurrection on January 6th, and will only reinstate him “if the risk to public safety has receded,” the Washington Post reports.

As Facebook points out:
“Of course, this penalty only applies to our services — Mr. Trump is and will remain free to express himself publicly via other means.”

But nobody pays much attention to those other means he's trying out.

Vaccinations Are Very Uneven Across the Country

New York Times:
“The United States is roughly on track to meet President Biden’s goal of getting at least one Covid-19 shot into the arms of 70 percent of adults by July 4 — if the current vaccination pace holds. But demand for vaccines has decreased in much of the country in recent weeks, and the promising national numbers (about 63 percent of adults have received at least one shot) do not reflect the uneven rates among states.

“Even if the country as a whole reaches the national target, at least 30 states probably will not.”

Facebook announced Friday that former President Donald Trump would be suspended from its platform until at least January 7th, 2023 -- two years from when he was initially suspended.

Facebook said it will then assess the circumstances to see if he should be allowed back on.

The move guarantees Trump won't be able to post from his Facebook account, which had tens of millions of followers, prior to the 2022 midterm elections. But Facebook's announcement does leave open the possibility his suspension could lift ahead of the 2024 presidential election.

Nick Clegg, the company's vice president for global affairs, said in a post Friday that once the two years is up, Facebook "will look to experts to assess whether the risk to public safety has receded. We will evaluate external factors, including instances of violence, restrictions on peaceful assembly and other markers of civil unrest. If we determine that there is still a serious risk to public safety, we will extend the restriction for a set period of time and continue to re-evaluate until that risk has receded."

Clegg framed the two-year suspension, which came after Trump supporters stormed the Capitol building, as "long enough to allow a safe period of time after the acts of incitement, to be significant enough to be a deterrent to Mr. Trump and others from committing such severe violations in future, and to be proportionate to the gravity of the violation itself."

Clegg also announced new rules for "enforcement protocols to be applied in exceptional cases such as this." The change comes in the wake of the unprecedented step the company took of indefinitely suspending Trump in January -- and the way its independent oversight board rebuked it for the arbitrary nature of that suspension.

Thecoldheartedtruth is that without some type of voting-rights legislation at the federal level, legislators — like those in Texas who find themselves in the minority party — are in a sticky situation, as they have little to no power. This dynamic is unlikely to change, too, because even though claims of widespread voter fraud have been widely debunked, the GOP continues to push — and pass — restrictive voting bills. As Myrna PΓ©rez, the director of the Voting Rights and Elections Program at the Brennan Center for Justice, told me, we can expect GOP lawmakers to pursue the same strategy as long as some are willing to manipulate the rules of the game “so that they can maintain their job security and keep themselves in power.”

Did Mike Pence just doom his 2024 chances?

At a campaign stop in New Hampshire on Thursday night, former Vice President Mike Pence defended his actions on January 6 and, in the process, may well have doomed (or at the very least hamstrung) his chances of emerging as the Republican presidential nominee in 2024.

“January 6 was a dark day in the history of our US Capitol,” Pence said . “That same day we reconvened the Congress and did our duty. You know, President Trump and I have spoken several times since we left office and I don’t know if we’ll ever see eye to eye on that day.”

Right-wing extremists were responsible for a majority of extremist-related murders in the United States last year, according to a report by the Anti-Defamation League (ADL).

Of the 42 extremist-related murders in the nation last year, 38 were committed by individuals subscribing to various far-right ideologies, including white supremacy, the ADL’s annual Murder and Extremism report found. Last year was the sixth deadliest for extremist-related violence since 1970.

There were 17 separate incidents last year with the deadliest being the attack by a white supremacist at a Walmart in El Paso, Texas, which left 22 people dead and at least 24 wounded. White supremacists were responsible for 81 percent of the domestic extremist-related murders in 2019, while right-wing extremists were responsible for 90 percent last year. Since 2010, right-wing extremists have been responsible for 330 deaths, or 76 percent of all domestic extremist-related murders within that time.

“Over the last decade, right-wing extremists have been responsible for more than 75 percent of extremist-related murders in this country,” ADL CEO Jonathan Greenblatt said. “This should no longer come as a shock to anyone. Lawmakers, law enforcement, and the public need to recognize the grave and dangerous threat posed by violent white supremacy. We cannot begin to defeat this deadly form of hatred if we fail to even recognize it.”

The past five years include four of the deadliest years on record for extremist murders. The number of extremist-related fatalities in the United States declined slightly in 2019 from the previous year, which saw 53 extremist-related deaths. But last year’s total was higher than in 2017 when 41 deaths were recorded.

Guns were involved in 86 percent of last year’s deaths. In the past decade, 315 of the 435 people (72 percent) killed in the United States by extremists were shot to death.

The American Greatness says that Doctor Fauci is the Democrat's Joseph Goebbels.
The covid-19 virus is not directly responsible for the millions of lives, because he actually funded the Chinese virus.

The great crime of history, the Holocaust, happened through and with the cooperation of the German medical profession. The vast majority of German doctors were committed Nazis, and they implemented at Hitler’s request, Aktion T-4 program, which was the systematic murder of the incurably ill, emotionally distraught, elderly, and other persons deemed defective. The impulse and infrastructure of this program, and more importantly the authority (moral and command) of the medical profession, were used to carry out industrial, medicalized murder at Auschwitz, Buchenwald, and Treblinka. If there is anything the 20th century ought to teach us, it is to distrust doctors in or adjacent to politics. They are dangerous—some due to incompetence, and some because they are evil.

Fauci’s incompetence can be presumed from his age. His propensity for evil is becoming apparent from his correspondence.

“It all stemmed from a tranche of Fauci’s emails that were published as part of a Freedom of Information Act request filed by various news outlets. … Reddit and Facebook lit up with a fresh round of Fauci attacks, SOME OF WHICH CALLED HIM A WAR CRIMINAL.”

When President Biden was asked today if he still had confidence in Fauci, Biden turned around to say: “Yes, I am very confident in Dr. Fauci.”

Unvaxxed kids are being told by know-it-all adolescent shills that “hesitant” parents are responsible for a “dangerous tide of misinformation.” But they won’t be told about Big Pharma’s immunity from vaccine lawsuits or that the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program has paid out more than $4.3 billion to the vaccine-injured since 1988 or that the pioneer behind mRNA technology was censored by Twitter last week for daring to discuss the troubling phenomenon of “vaccine shedding.”

The idea that easily influenced teenagers, let alone 11-year-old kids, could provide medical consent voluntarily and in a competent manner in this insane and evil climate is a human rights abomination. They are being bombarded by pro-COVID-19 vaccination Hollywood agitprop, conditioned by ubiquitous pro-COVID-19 vaccination content on social media, held hostage in public schools, deceived by Big Pharma’s omissions and suppression of data, and viciously turned against their parents by a coordinated peer pressure campaign to stigmatize all dissent, no matter how mild.

INSURRECTION !!!

WASHINGTON – A Florida man pleaded guilty today to crimes related to the breach of the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6 which disrupted a joint session of the U.S. Congress in the process of ascertaining and counting the electoral votes related to the presidential election.

According to court documents, Paul Hodgkins, 38, of Tampa, Florida, entered the U.S. Capitol building at approximately 2:50 p.m. on Jan. 6. Around 3 p.m., Hodgkins entered the Senate chamber, walked among the desks, and then removed eye goggles. He took a “selfie-style” photograph with his cell phone and walked down the Senate well where, a few feet away, several individuals were shouting, praying and cheering using a bullhorn. Hodgkins walked toward the individuals and remained standing with them while they continued commanding the attention of others. At approximately 3:15 p.m., Hodgkins exited the Senate chamber and the U.S. Capitol Building.

Hodgkins pleaded guilty to one count of obstructing an official proceeding, which carries a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison, fine of $250,000 or twice the monetary gain or loss of the offense. He is scheduled to be sentenced on July 19 at 10 a.m.

The Pre-Trump GOP Is Gone Forever
June 4, 2021 at 5:00 pm EDT By Taegan Goddard 10 Comments

Jim VandeHei argues the days of the Republican Party of old are gone.

“Look at who gets attention to this day. It’s Tucker Carlson, it’s Ben Shapiro, Mike Pence, it’s Donald Trump… The party does not care fundamentally about deficits. I don’t even know that the vast majority of what you would call the base of the party right now cares that much about ideology. It’s much more an identity statement, a cultural statement.

“Everyone assumed Jan. 6 was this watershed moment… Historically insane, what happened. And yet almost instantly, at a moment where you would think it’s unthinkable, everyone snaps back like that — not just to the norm, but to the Trump norm.”

The GOP of Paul Ryan, Liz Cheney and Mitt Romney is gone for good — replaced by Trumpers, Axios CEO Jim VandeHei said on MSNBC's "Morning Joe" Friday.

Why it matters: "The Republican Party has spoken," VandeHei declared, adding that anybody who does not believe Trump's iron grip over the GOP has been institutionalized is living in a "fantasy."

What we're hearing: "I had this conversation with three different people yesterday, who just pined the days of the Republican Party of old," VandeHei said. "And my point to them was: It's gone!"

"Look at who gets attention to this day," he continued. "It's Tucker [Carlson], it's Ben Shapiro, Mike Pence, it's Donald Trump. ... This morning, Donald Trump’s first White House counsel, Don McGahn, is scheduled to testify about his former boss’s obstruction of justice in a closed-door congressional hearing. McGahn’s testimony before the House Judiciary Committee comes in response to a longstanding congressional subpoena relating to former Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s report on Russian interference in the 2016 election. Although the Mueller probe seems like ancient news, the contents of the report—the first volume of which inquired into Russia’s attacks on the U.S. election system and the second into Donald Trump’s acts of obstruction of justice relating to the Mueller investigation—have yet to translate into meaningful accountability for either of the biggest fish in that scheme: Russian President Vladimir Putin and his pal Donald J. Trump.

Which is why the impending McGahn testimony is important.

The outstanding McGahn subpoena dates back to April 22, 2019. McGahn refused to comply, claiming absolute immunity. Litigation ensued, culminating in a 2-1 ruling by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit on August 30, 2020. The court held that the House of Representatives’ lawsuit seeking to enforce the subpoena must be dismissed, on the novel notion that the House Judiciary Committee lacks what’s called a cause of action to enforce its subpoena—i.e., a law giving that body a means to invoke the courts for relief. On the literal eve of his retirement, Judge Thomas Griffith wrote for the majority that the decision doesn’t prevent Congress “from ever enforcing a subpoena in federal court; it simply precludes it from doing so without first enacting a statute authorizing such a suit.” The dissenting judge, Judge Judith Rogers, would have lodged a congressional right to seek judicial relief in Article I of the Constitution itself. Without a means for enforcing its constitutional powers, in other words, Congress’s enumerated powers are meaningless.

PODCAST

Amanda Carpenter on Pence's Games

Sadly, regardless of the legal merits of Judge Griffith’s analysis, the notion of turning to Congress for action is cold comfort these days. This is precisely the maneuver that the Supreme Court took in its fateful 2013 decision in Shelby County v. Holder, in which Chief Justice Roberts penned a majority opinion effectively gutting Section 5 of the Voting Rights Act, under which the Department of Justice for decades successfully staved off state legislative efforts to suppress black and brown voters from exercising the franchise. Despite multiple bipartisan votes in Congress to renew Section 5, the Supreme Court declared the 1965 law too stale for its tastes and sent it back to Congress for an update. Fast-forward to 2021. As the country reels from an insurrection over a legitimate presidential election and the Republican party requires its leaders to swear loyalty to the deluded liar who lost that election and instigated that insurrection, the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act—Congress’s answer to Shelby County—still lingers untouched in the Senate.

Bottom line: Congress is broken, leaving the courts all the more crucial to preserving accountability and democracy.

Given the history of the last election, the courts saved the country from Trump.

"The Ultra-Rich Are Saving Their Money Instead of Spending It – Now the Middle Class Is ‘Buried’ In Debt

It’s easy to roll our eyes at outlandish spending from billionaires – say, buying NFTs or yachts – but their spending is good for the overall economy. Their savings, however, are not so good, according to new findings published in the Chicago Booth Review, which reports that the 1% has “buried” the middle class in debt with their saving habits.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) - A federal judge Friday overturned California's three-decade-old ban on assault weapons, ruling that it violates the constitutional right to bear arms.

U.S. District Judge Roger Benitez of San Diego ruled that the state's definition of illegal military-style rifles unlawfully deprives law-abiding Californians of weapons commonly allowed in most other states and by the U.S. Supreme Court.

"Under no level of heightened scrutiny can the law survive," Benitez said. He issued a permanent injunction against enforcement of the law but stayed it for 30 days to give state Attorney General Rob Bonta time to appeal.

Republicans can't win without destroying democracy.

The GOP holds every elected, statewide office that Texas has to offer — from railroad commissioner to comptroller to attorney general to governor. The party has controlled the state’s Senate for a quarter century, and its House for 19 years. Last November, Texas voters backed Donald Trump over Joe Biden by nearly seven points, while sending an overwhelmingly Republican delegation to Congress.

And yet, the Texas Republican Party is waging war on the democracy it dominates.

On Sunday night in Austin, Democratic lawmakers fled the state legislature to delay an assault on their state’s form of government. In the wake of Trump’s defeat in the 2020 election — and his subsequent campaign to delegitimize U.S. democracy — Republicans have pushed anti-democratic election reforms in states across the country. But SB-7 lends credence to the claim that everything is bigger in Texas — even partisan attacks on free elections. Governor Greg Abbott’s bill doesn’t just feature all of the GOP’s latest innovations in voter suppression (novel restrictions on early voting, absentee voting, drive-through voting, etc). It also contains a variety of measures that abet election subversion. The law would make it easier for state officials to throw out voters’ ballots on the basis of signature mismatches, a demonstrably unreliable and subjective means of identity verification. It would make providing an absentee ballot to a voter who has not requested one a criminal offense, punishable by prison time, while imposing no similar penalty on officials who deny eligible voters a chance to cast a ballot, thereby incentivizing election administrators to err on the side of disenfranchisement.

So, first of all, as you mentioned, we are a brand new organization and the way that I summarize it for people is that we are the conservative response to the ACLU [American Civil Liberties Union]. And so we saw for the last four-plus years, how every time President Trump tried to advance a policy -- a lawful policy, in the case of our administration -- the left ran to a court, typically, you know, in a place like San Francisco, to try to get an injunction from a left-leaning judge and stymie our ability to effectuate conservative policy for the country. And there really isn’t any parallel to this or hasn’t been for conservatives. Of course, the most important distinction between what the ACLU is doing and what we, as a brand new organization are doing: they went to court to prevent the administration from engaging in lawful conduct; we’re going to court to try to stop this administration from engaging in unlawful conduct.

Exhibit A is the massive rush of illegal aliens being openly invited across our borders. This has never happened before in American history. We’ve, of course, had illegal immigration before and sometimes we’ve had very large amounts of illegal immigration. But we’ve never had an administration in the whole history of our country that has actively encouraged, facilitated, recruited, and resettled illegal immigrants en masse across the southern border and into the United States interior. So that is indeed an action without precedent. It also happens to be illegal. And we are proudly serving as outside counsel for the state of Texas in a lawsuit against the Biden Administration over its catch and release policies, particularly in light of how those policies violate the government’s own pandemic rules and own infectious disease controls.

“From espousing his discredited election conspiracy theories to threatening to secede, state and local officials are increasingly leaving aside community issues to reflect Trump’s ongoing hold of the national GOP.

“The extension of Trump’s dominance in the GOP down to local leaders compounds the party’s consolidation behind an uncompromisingly right-wing, grievance-oriented politics that centers conspiracy theories and threats to democratic legitimacy.”

“Newly released emails sent to and from Arizona state senators reveal that President Donald Trump and his lawyer Rudy Giuliani reached out personally to urge GOP officials there to move forward with a partisan recount of the 2020 election, DESPITE A LACK OF EVIDENCE OF WIDESPREAD FRAUD OR OTHER ISSUES,” the Washington Post reports.

“Hundreds of pages of emails related to the GOP-ordered audit underway in Maricopa County were obtained by the nonprofit legal watchdog group American Oversight through a records request under the Freedom of Information Act.”

Two Raymore women are suing United Airlines for emotional distress they endured after a jet engine blew up during their Hawaii-bound flight in February.

The incident caused a panic among passengers as the pilots were forced to make an emergency landing.

Cynthia Pugh, 61, and Kelli Dennis, 60, were passengers on the Boeing 777 on Feb. 20 when the engine malfunctioned, bursting into flames and bobbling around on the wing as debris fell over the Denver metro area. In separate civil suits filed this week against the airliner, Dennis and Pugh allege the company was negligent in allowing the plane to take off to begin with and say the event has traumatized them.

“That truly was a harrowing experience for them, not knowing if the pilots could control the plane, if they could safely land it or not,” said Richard Burke, of Chicago-based Clifford Law Offices, which is representing the women and seven other passengers in civil lawsuits against the airliner. “So, they were very concerned that those were their last moments.”

Fauci the Megalomaniac
When Power Decides the Truth.

Since early 2020, Americans have made huge sacrifices – all for the greater good.

They have seen hundreds of thousands of loved ones die. Their businesses were closed. They couldn’t make rent. Their children missed out on childhood. High school athletics were paused and rites of passage like prom were cancelled.

All at the direction of Dr. Anthony Fauci.

Schools were closed with his blessing. His directions influenced decisions on lockdowns and nearly everything else. He took note of those who didn’t follow his guidance and attacked them in the media. He slammed President Trump’s predictions on reopening the country. He criticized the Trump administration’s COVID-19 response days before the 2020 election. He complimented China – and then criticized President Trump for not putting China’s “feet to the fire.” He rebuked Florida Governor Ron DeSantis for wanting to open schools.

This little doctor was, in his own way, running his own kingdom. He pulled the strings and he enjoyed it. He reveled in it. He made himself a media darling. Fauci the savvy self-promoter, putting himself out there as the humble expert who would tell America the truth. The little doctor who could.

He was on magazine covers and was named Time Magazine’s Guardian of the Year. Fauci was so effective that (despite being the highest paid federal employee) he was awarded a prestigious $1 million prize for “speaking truth to power” during the COVID-19 crisis.

As he told the Financial Times in July 2020:

“I have a reputation, as you probably have figured out, of speaking the truth at all times and not sugar-coating things.”

It turns out, however, that Fauci has been lying to us the entire time to preserve that power. Lies not just about himself and his “honesty” but about the origins of COVID-19.

TX SB7: Early voting by personal appearance at the main early voting polling place shall be conducted on each weekday of [ the weekdays of ] the early voting period that is not a legal state holiday and for a period of at least nine hours, except that voting may not be conducted earlier than 6 a.m. or later than 9 p.m. [ during the hours that the county clerk’s or city secretary’s main business office is regularly open for business. ]

This provision, which codifies at least nine hours of early voting for many elections, also blocks 24-hour early voting, which Harris County — home of Democratic-trending Houston and the state’s most populous county — implemented during the 2020 election. Officials said 16,000 voters took advantage of it. Another part of the legislation requires Texas counties with at least 30,000 people to offer at least 12 hours of early voting in the final week before an election, extending a requirement that previously applied to bigger counties (at least 100,000 people).

>TX SB7: Each polling place shall be located inside a building. A polling place may not be located in a tent or similar temporary moveable structure or in a facility primarily designed for motor vehicles. No voter may cast a vote from inside a motor vehicle unless the voter meets the requirements of Section 64. 009.

Drive through voting restrictions apply in heavely Democratic districts.

We just don't want N*****s voting!

Coldheartedtruth Teller said...

This provision also targets Harris County, which allowed “drive-thru” voting in November, in which all voters — regardless of disability status — remained in their cars to vote at polling sites like parking garages. Harris County said 128,000 voters used this option. The provision would still allow for curbside voting at polling places, which allows a limited group of voters to vote from their cars at regular polling sites.

American Greatness wants to get rid of true conservative Republicans.

The Solution Is Simple, Stop Sucking

The solutions are really rather simple if we chose to act upon, and truly believe, reality and science.

By John Conlin

June 4, 2021

American Greatness recently ran a superb piece by Pedro Gonzalez on the sad reality that having facts and logic on the side of conservatism has done little to stop the flow of progressive ideology. He notes it has only provided poor comfort to us “as the water has risen to our necks.”

For almost 50 years, I have wondered about the same thing. How can conservatism lose when the facts overwhelmingly support conservative thinking?

X

Austrian economist Friedrich Hayek’s main lament at the end of his life was how little his ideas had been adopted and implemented in public policy. American economist Milton Friedman, a genius by most accounts, has had exactly how much influence in actual public policy?

Clearly something is wrong and the solution must be found, and found quickly as time is running short. Part of the problem is personnel. Too many feckless Republican “leaders” actually view the entire political process as something like professional wrestling. There are two opposing sides which appear to be fighting mightily to beat each other and win, but in reality it is all a show for the rubes in the audience. At the end of the day, they are both on the same team—team government—and the only true fight is over whose snouts get deepest into the trough.

The only solution to this is to rid ourselves of these imposters. A crusty old friend of mine always noted, “you can’t make chicken soup out of chicken shit.” We have been trying to do so for far too long and look what it has got us. Let’s stop.

The Republican party may disappear from earth.

Confirmed: Jan. 6 Protest Resulted in Estimated $1.5 Million in Damages -- Or 1/1000th of Damages by Black Lives Matter-Antifa Protests in 2020

That’s when protesters ran up the stairs and entered the US Capitol — after the doors were opened.
We have all seen video of protesters breaking windows and trying to force their way into sections of the US Capitol.

On Friday the mainstream media reported the estimated damages from the January 6 protests came out to $1.5 million.

Obviously, the damages would have been much worse if the protesters had started fires, toppled statues, ripped apart historic paintings, etc. But that did not happen on January 6. No one tagged the walls with graffiti, firebombed the halls, or lit off Molotov cocktails.

And, although this will NEVER make headlines in the fake news media, the January 6 protests (insurrection) caused 1/100th of the damages as Black Lives Matter and their Antifa supporters caused across the United States in 2020.The media will NEVER report that!

Black Lives Matter-Antifa mobs caused over one billion dollars in damages in cities across America since May 2020.  In Minneapolis alone, Black Lives Matter mobs damaged or destroyed over 1,500 businesses or buildings in the 2020 riots.

Over 700 police officers were injured in the BLM riots — and that was back in June 2020!

Black Lives Matter was linked to conservatively 91% of the riots that resulted in the most expensive property damage in US insurance history.

There is no comparison between the Black Lives Matter rioting and the January 6 protests.

FROM REUTERS:
More unvaccinated U.S. adolescents hospitalized;
myocarditis may be rare vaccine side effect in teens

Reuters
June 4, 2021, 6:54 PM

(Reuters) - The following is a roundup of some of the latest scientific studies on the novel coronavirus and efforts to find treatments and vaccines for COVID-19, the illness caused by the virus.

COVID-19 hospitalizations up among U.S. adolescents

COVID-19 hospitalizations rose among U.S. adolescents in March and April, and nearly a third of those hospitalized needed intensive care, according to data from more than 250 hospitals in 14 states released by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on Friday. "Rates of COVID-19-associated hospitalization among adolescents also exceeded historical rates of seasonal influenza-associated hospitalization during comparable periods," researchers reported in the CDC's Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report. The hospitals reported a total of 204 adolescents hospitalized for COVID-19 in March and April.

"Until they are fully vaccinated, adolescents should continue to wear masks and take precautions when around others who are not vaccinated to protect themselves, and their family, friends, and community,"
CDC Director Rochelle Walensky said in a statement on Friday.

"I ask parents, relatives and close friends to join me and talk with teens about the importance of these prevention strategies and to encourage them to get vaccinated."

Heart inflammation may be rare vaccine side effect in teens

Temporary heart inflammation may be a rare side effect of the Pfizer/BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine in teenagers, according to pediatricians who reported on seven cases from across the United States. The previously healthy adolescents - all boys - developed chest pain within four days after their second dose. MRI exams showed myocarditis, or heart muscle inflammation.
"Fortunately, none of our patients was critically ill," the authors reported on Friday in Pediatrics. The boys' symptoms resolved "rapidly" with medication. Measures of cardiac status had returned to normal at check-ups performed after one-to-three weeks. Myocarditis is a known rare adverse event following other vaccinations, the authors noted. There is no proof, however, that the vaccine caused these cases.

"So far, over 2.2 million teenagers (aged) 16-17 have already received 2 doses of Pfizer vaccine, and over 3 million kids 12-15 years old have received dose #1," said coauthor Dr. Judy Guzman-Cottrill of Oregon Health & Science University. "These are huge, very reassuring denominators."

COVID-19 itself can cause myocarditis, she noted. "After looking at the risks and benefits, the data support getting kids vaccinated."

THE ARTICLE continues, making other important points.

Fucking crazy is a fucking joke troll squad asshole.

The collection of Anthony Fauci’s emails were released this week after a Freedom of Information Act request from BuzzFeed. There is nothing really of too much import in the emails, and it is clearly intended to be some kind of distraction.

Conservatives are pointing to the fact that Fauci told a colleague in February to not wear a mask because the virus can pass through a mask.

This is the same thing that Fauci was saying publicly at the time.

They’re also pointing to Fauci being congratulated by Peter Daszak for saying the virus was from bats.

Again: this is the same thing Fauci was saying publicly at the time.

With that second one, there is a suggestion of conflicts of interest, given that Daszak was involved in the funding of the Wuhan lab, but this proves nothing.

The usual suspects are going nuts over this on Twitter.

Those are the three usual suspects – Mike Cernovich and Jack Posobiec and JamesNewLeaf's Fucking Daddy

Respectfully to both of them, they clearly got on-board some kind of program in 2017 to push a straight narrative. All either of them do is go on Twitter and post nonstop narrative. Neither of them ever posts any type of original idea or any thought different from a central right-wing “cuckservative” type narrative, presumably developed by the Mercers.

Those two are not really my target and not important to anything in particular. I don’t think they’re directly involved in a conspiracy of any kind, I think they just shill a narrative for money and presumably to prevent getting kicked off Twitter (which would cost them a lot of money). The narrative is sometimes right and sometimes isn’t, but it is an inane driving narrative. The notable point is that this is a part of a narrative – the same narrative that Cernovich and Posobiec, along with the likes of Sean Hannity, Breitbart News and Turing Point USA, pushed throughout the Trump era, which resulted in him getting very little done and then having the election stolen from him.

Coldheartedtruth Teller said...

Even if this narrative was formed in good faith, it is clearly broken. If it wasn’t broken, then Trump’s presidency would not have been such a disaster. Trump didn’t know what he was doing really, and he looked to these narrative-drones for his own narrative and that narrative failed him. His instincts were always right, but he always got pulled back onto this narrative and ended up drowning in it.

Besides myself and Alex Jones, Tucker Carlson was the only person during the Trump years who was bucking the narrative. It was always sad when Trump would watch Tucker Carlson and tweet something out, and then be veered back onto the narrative. But he was surrounded by these people. That will be how history records Donald Trump’s presidency: the story of a well-meaning orange man who got sucked into the weird narrative of a bunch of scumbags. Yes, he was still fighting the swamp, but if he’d had the support of a consistent narrative that made sense, he would have been able to take positions and hold them. Instead, he was forced to oscillate back and forth.

(Paul Joseph Watson AKA “Pauly Double-Names” also pushed this narrative for years. I think of him as one of the “Three Droning Musketeers” with Cernovich and Posobiec, just marching nonstop tinnitus-like narrative across Twitter. However, after the election hoax and harassment from one prominent anti-tranny publication, he seems to have given up on it. He’s supported Nick Fuentes and he recently bucked the entire narrative on Israel. Whatever – it’s likely that these people aren’t even paid, they’re just told what will and won’t get them kicked off of Twitter, and Double-Names decides to risk it sometimes while the other two stay in line.)

Lauren Boebert, the female Congressperson with the guns, is pushing the narrative, part of which is a new meme to rival Metal Gear: “Democrats are the real science-deniers.”

That is what these narrative agents come up with in their narrative lab: “no I’m not, you are.” They got called racists, so they said the Democrats are the real racists, ending up in a position where they had to fight against racism. Now they’re called science deniers, so they embrace the lab coats. Because the left controls academia, and they are therefore the arbitrators of moral authority – saying something like “common sense over expert analysis” might resonate with the people, but it would be dismissed as uneducated trailer park talk – and that would hurt Lauren Boebert’s feelings.

This “email bombshell,” courtesy of the government in collaboration with BuzzFeed, is linked to this current Republican narrative that the virus is from a Wuhan lab, where it was genetically-engineered by the Chinese. Other emails that discuss “gain of function,” the Wuhan lab, and related terms are being posted.

Obviously, this is part of an agenda to drum up hatred for China as part of a larger war effort. That is just dumbly obvious, and it is why it is front and center of the narrative.

Most importantly: they’ve gotten Republicans to come back around to caring about the virus, and claiming that “so many people died.” In fact, no one died who wasn’t already going to die of something else. Deaths from the flu, as well as heart attacks, obesity-related deaths, and even things such as car crashes and gun shots were re-classified as “coronavirus deaths.” This was admitted in an official publication of Johns Hopkins University, the leading medical authority in America, which went through the numbers and showed that at the supposed peak of the virus in spring of 2020, there were no new deaths. What this implies, straightforwardly, is that there was never a new virus.

Coldheartedtruth Teller said...

There are supposedly thousands of other viruses just laying around everywhere. Furthermore, the common cold is a coronavirus, and causes the exact same symptoms that are reported by the average “symptomatic” coronavirus infectee. As per the CDC website:

What they have likely done is simply identify a cold virus that already existed but had not been identified, and then went on to claim that there was a new virus. There is no other way that I can think of that there would not be any new deaths (other than if they released a harmless virus from a lab, which is a totally unnecessary extra step).

Donald Trump eventually accepted the claims of the existence of a new virus, after having accurately claimed that it was just the flu. He then for whichever reason spread the theory (now hypothesis) that the virus was a bioweapon made in a lab by Chinese communists. At the time, the media dismissed this as “fake news,” but now they’ve come around to agreeing with it. What this does is allow Republicans to feel as though they’ve been vindicated – “the media was forced to admit it!” they say.

But who forced the media to admit it?

The media did not “admit” anything – they just changed what they were saying, at the same time that the government was changing what they were saying. All them changing their narrative did was get Republicans to again be invested in the concept of a deadly virus so they could do a “gotcha” on the media and the Democrats.

It is schizophrenic, what these people are doing: they are saying that the virus was not really a big deal, or an exaggeration of the flu, then at the same time they are saying it is a deadly plague released by the Chinese. Both those things can’t be true. But if you wanted someone to believe in a virus, you would use their own beliefs to get them to believe in that virus. That is what this “Wuhan Lab Hypothesis” is – manipulating people to believe in the virus based on the kinds of things they want to believe.

Obviously, at this point they understand the way right-wing people think in terms of these conspiracies, so they can tailor-make them for distribution to right-wing audiences – and the media figures spreading them don’t even know it.

The goal is to distract people from the fact that this is all a massive hoax. It has nothing to do with China, and nothing to do with a virus. This entire “pandemic” charade was invented by the elite for the purpose of harming society, convincing people to surrender their civil rights, taking people’s jobs away, and transferring massive wealth from the middle class to the elite.

If we believe it is a Wuhan lab virus, then this still remains a coincidence:

If you believe those two

Ch is a perfect example of schizophrenia.

It's curable but most of them never admit being wrong about anything but their political beliefs.

Hardly mental midget. He took us all ofg because every time hr put up a thread, you created another one above it with some stupid propaganda. You spoiled it for thr rest of us.

And funny how you give us an article by Silicon Valley billionaire Ron Unz when he finally says something you like. How shallow of you.

Whoa. Wait a minute. The article Roger was quoting from is by Andrew Anglin, Neo-Nazi, and is taken by permission from his Daily Stormer.

Still, it has much in it that is true. One must only read it with all that in mind.

Honest, decent, truthful Rev. said...

The article is NOT "by" Unz

His site is self labelled:

The Unz Review • An Alternative Media Selection
A Collection of Interesting, Important, and Controversial Perspectives Largely Excluded from the American Mainstream Media

The article Roger above references is by Andrew Anglin, neo-Nazi. Read it with that in mind.

Meadows Sought Probe of Election Fraud Claims
June 5, 2021 at 11:26 am EDT By Taegan Goddard 59 Comments

“In Donald Trump’s final weeks in office, Mark Meadows, his chief of staff, repeatedly pushed the Justice Department to investigate unfounded conspiracy theories about the 2020 presidential election,” according to newly uncovered emails reviewed by the New York Times.

“In five emails sent during the last week of December and early January, Mr. Meadows asked Jeffrey Rosen, then the acting attorney general, to examine debunked claims of election fraud in New Mexico and an array of baseless conspiracies that held that Mr. Trump had been the actual victor. That included a fantastical theory that people in Italy had used military technology and satellites to remotely tamper with voting machines in the United States and switch votes for Mr. Trump to votes for Joseph Biden.”

JAMESnewLeaf:
Increasingly and increasingly the Trump fraud claims are being reduced to blubbering idiocy.

I suspect the article was not written by Andrew Anglin.

Unless he's trying to push the Republicans farther towards facism.

Fake Aliens are Not a New Idea

After 60 Minutes aired this program, the entire media began talking about the topic of UFOs. Someone yesterday told me: “Project Blue Beam is real.” I don’t think it is real, but it is certainly relevant to this discussion.

Project Blue Beam is a conspiracy theory from the 1990s that the US government would use holograms to project flying saucers into the air and then fake an alien contact event and the return of Jesus Christ.

I heard this and many other conspiracy theories as a kid listening to Coast to Coast AM with Art Bell. After the dawn of the internet, when I began investigating a lot of things, I investigated the “Blue Beam” story. The whole thing is just from one guy, a French Canadian named Serge Monast, who claimed to have seen secret government documents he couldn’t ever produce. (Note that Project Blue Beam is different from Project Blue Book; the latter is the Pentagon’s real life supposed “investigation” of UFOs, and is mentioned briefly in the 60 Minutes segment.)

The most compelling aspect of the theory is that Monast died of a surprise heart attack in 1996 at the age of 41, not long after he’d written a book about the alleged project. But a surprise heart attack is not evidence of a murder and he certainly did not look very healthy in any of the images I’ve seen of him

He believes that the UFO'S are a Democratic hoax to make the world communist dominated.

But he is a fascist asshole

Well, even if it WAS written by Anglin, as claimed in the head and bottom lines,* it shows that even an Alex Jones similar conspiracy nut Neo-Nazi right winger like Anglin finds nonsense in what the bottom slurping denizens of this blog are trying to say.
