Every day, the U.S is looking more and more like it will fall short of President Joe Biden’s goal to have 70 percent of American adults at least partially vaccinated by July 4. As of Tuesday, 63.8 percent of those aged 18 and older – about 164.5 million people – have gotten at least an initial shot, according to data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
About 16 million unvaccinated adults need to receive at least one dose in the next four weeks for Biden to meet his goal. But the pace of new vaccinations in the U.S. has dropped to about 500,000 people per day – down from a high of 3.5 million per day in April.
The White House has launched a month-long blitz to combat vaccine hesitancy and a lack of urgency to get shots, particularly in the South and Midwest, but it is increasingly resigned to missing the president’s vaccination target.
Imagine how this would be received if Donald Trump was still President. We would have had the media up in arms over this horrifying failure of follow through. Especially considering minorities are lagging behind in terms of Covid vaccinations. It would have been racist, failure, and plenty of other things. We would have had panels of "experts" on CNN and MSNBC demanding heads to roll over the worst medical failure in the history of the planet.
But alas... Dementia Joe is our President. The media doesn't cover this Presidency. It covers up for this Presidency.

Not one of the Liberals on this board will talk about this failure. Nor will they talk about his failure at the G7 summit.
What an odd looking photo those so called leaders took together.
Social distancing, why?
The backlash is sparking a backlash of its own.
On Saturday, thousands of educators and others gathered virtually and in person at historic locations in more than 20 cities to make clear that they would resist efforts in at least 15 Republican-led states to restrict what teachers can say in class about racism, sexism and oppression in America.
Organized by local educators across the country in association with several social justice organizations, the National Day of Action is meant to raise public awareness about the legislation and to send a message that they will not lie to students about the country’s racist past and present.
Several thousand teachers have signed a pledge that says: “We, the undersigned educators, refuse to lie to young people about U.S. history and current events — regardless of the law.”
Ever since the May 2020 slaying of George Floyd by police in Minneapolis sparked a national social justice protest movement, many public schools have attempted to introduce and expand lessons on the systemic racism that has existed since the nation’s founding.
That sparked a backlash among conservatives. Republican-led legislatures are or have already passed legislation (whose wording is remarkably similar or identical, reflecting a coordinated effort) with such restrictions. On Thursday, Florida’s State Board of Education voted to ban the teaching of critical race theory in the state’s public schools.
Critical race theory is a decades-old academic framework that holds that racism is systemic, embedded in government policies and laws that are evident in any serious examination of American history. Critics say that racism is the work of individual bad actors, and, they say, teachers are improperly injecting race in the classroom. Teachers say it is impossible not to discuss race in any honest discussion or lesson about American history.
As my Post colleagues Laura Meckler and Hannah Natanson reported here, the educators who are teaching about racism aren’t actually pushing critical race theory into the classroom. What they are doing, they say, is addressing systemic barriers that have harmed students of color.
[As schools expand racial equity work, conservatives see a new threat in critical race theory]
In Iowa, where Republican Gov. Kim Reynolds this week signed legislation banning the teaching of “specific defined concepts,” including critical race theory, teachers say the law is already a chilling effect.
“I will say it’s already playing out,” sixth-grade teacher Monique Cottman said in an interview with Jesse Hagopian, a Seattle high school teacher and co-founder of Black Lives Matter at School.
“The White teachers who started doing a little bit more teaching about race and racism are now going back to their old way of teaching,” she said. “I’ve had conversations with teachers who said things like, ‘I’m getting so much pushback for teaching Alice Walker, I’m going to go back to teaching what I used to teach.’ So all the teachers who would have done a little bit of what I was doing — anti-racism work and culturally responsive teaching — they’re not going to do anything next year. They’re already declaring, ‘I’m not doing nothing,’ or ‘It’s not safe,’ or ‘I don’t want to lose my job.’ ”
At dozens of sites across the country on Saturday, educators and others gathered to push back.
In Memphis, protesters met at site where Nathan Bedford Forrest, a Confederate general and Ku Klux Klan grand wizard, ran a market of enslaved people from 1854 to 1860. Then they walked to the marker for the 1866 Memphis Massacre at Army Park and the National Museum of Civil Rights. The event was organized by educators who teach on the downtown lot where Forrest’s enslaved person market was located.

You and the truthers.
But alas... Dementia Joe is our President. The media doesn't cover this Presidency. It covers up for this Presidency.
You believe the same people are deep state conspirators.
Bonkers
If the Orange Monster had admitted it was a dangerous situation immediately after he was informed on February 7th and started the Warp speed research but instead he denied it was dangerous and it was a Democratic hoax to get rid of Trump.
If we actually had acted like Sleepy Joe, tens of thousands of Americans would not be dead.
Dementia Joe is our President. The media doesn't cover this Presidency. It covers up for this Presidency.
Is a fucking lie m.j
You're getting worse every day Scott.

G7 leaders on Saturday confronted China and the threat of future pandemics as the elite club of wealthy nations advertised a newfound Western unity at its first physical summit since 2019.
After an informal evening get-together -- featuring a Royal Air Force aerobatics display, beach barbecue, firepit marshmallows and a Cornish troupe singing sea shanties -- the leaders were to wrap up their three-day summit on Sunday.
At their concluding session in Cornwall, southwest England, US President Joe Biden and his colleagues will back new conservation and emission targets to curb climate change, according to the UK hosts.
In a "Nature Compact" to be released Sunday with the G7's final communique, they will commit to nearly halving their carbon emissions by 2030 -- relative to 2010 -- as well as vowing to halt and reverse biodiversity loss.
The leaders are also set to promise more financial support for developing countries on the sharp edge of climate change, in the buildup to the UN's COP26 environmental summit in Scotland in November.
Such actions were unthinkable under former president Donald Trump, but Biden is touting a message of revived US leadership on his first foreign tour.
"We're on the same page," Biden told reporters as he met French President Emmanuel Macron on the summit sidelines, pushing to rally the West against a resurgent China and recalcitrant Russia.
Asked if other G7 leaders agreed with him about a US diplomatic renaissance, Biden pointed to Macron, who replied: "Definitely."
- 'Build back better' -
Promising to "collectively catalyse" hundreds of billions of infrastructure investment for low- and middle-income countries, the G7 leaders said they would offer a "values-driven, high-standard and transparent" partnership.
Their "Build Back Better World" (B3W) project is aimed squarely at competing with China's trillion-dollar Belt and Road infrastructure initiative, which has been widely criticised for saddling small countries with unmanageable debt.
German Chancellor Angela Merkel, whose nation has huge investments in China, called it an "important initiative" that was much needed in infrastructure-poor Africa.
Britain meanwhile hailed G7 agreement on the "Carbis Bay Declaration" -- a series of commitments to curb future pandemics after Covid-19 wrecked economies and claimed millions of lives around the world.
The collective steps include slashing the time taken to develop and license vaccines, treatments and diagnostics for any future disease to under 100 days, while reinforcing global surveillance networks.
The G7 -- Britain, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan and the United States -- will formally publish the pact on Sunday, alongside the summit communique containing further details on the B3W.
- Covid vaccines -
"The #CarbisBayDeclaration marks a proud and historic moment for us all," British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said on Twitter.
World Health Organization chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, criticised in some quarters for being too accommodating towards China where the coronavirus originated, welcomed the health pact.
The G7 leaders are also expected to pledge to donate one billion vaccine doses to poor countries this year and next -- although campaigners say the rollout is much too slow to end the crisis now.
After briefing the leaders in Cornwall, Tedros said he had set them the challenge of vaccinating at least 70 percent of the world's population by their next summit in Germany in 2022.

BIDEN ADMINISTRATION TURNING MILITARY INTO LEFT-WING FORCE
This piece by David Horowitz, John Perazzo and Mark Tapson is a hair-raising account of how the Joe Biden administration is politicizing our armed forces, thereby imperiling our national security. This is a scandal of the first order, but of course is not being reported as such.
Betraying America
No institution in America – from government offices to schoolrooms to corporate boardrooms and beyond – is safe today from the poisonous racism of Critical Race Theory and the “1619 Project” which posit that United States history is rooted in slavery and white supremacy, and that “whiteness” is an incurable disease. The institution whose subversion poses the greatest threat to our national security is the military, now overseen by Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, a determined advocate of these repulsive anti-American views.
They were spreading false information about the United States Armed Forces.
They want militias to organize and inaugurate Trump in August.
And get the enlisted soldiers to disobey the officers because they are marxists terrorists.
The institution whose subversion poses the greatest threat to our national security
CRT IS A COMMUNIST PARTY
Good God
We can't let them gain control over the country America is dead.
Lloyd Austin III was nominated in late 2012 for CENTCOM commander by President Barack Obama, who openly sought the “fundamental transformation” of America, and spent his eight-year tenure politicizing the military command. When Austin retired from active duty with the U.S. military in 2016, Austin was a four-star general. He spent the next few years in the private sector as a founder and/or board member of various corporations until last December, when President Biden nominated him for the position of U.S. Secretary of Defense. The Senate subsequently confirmed Austin on January 22 by a vote of 93-2, making him the first black Defense Secretary in American history, and also the most radical – even though most black Americans are patriots and are not radical.
Austin was a natural choice for an administration that seems to value the skin color, gender and politics of its appointees over all other characteristics, and – like the President, the Vice President, and the Democratic Party generally – views America as a nation so scarred by its racist history that nothing short of a radical transformation would make it worthy of celebrating and defending. Like Obama, Austin is intent on transforming the American military with dangerous consequences for the 330 million Americans it is its mission to defend.
During Austin’s Senate confirmation hearing on January 19, he vowed to rid the U.S. military of the many “racists and extremists” that allegedly have infiltrated it. “The job of the Department of Defense is to keep America safe from our enemies,” he said. “But we can’t do that if some of those enemies lie within our own ranks.”
Or, if they preside over those ranks. When the military command divides its soldiers along racial and gender lines, demonizing some and making permanent victims out of others, the divisive effects of such guidelines can have a devastating impact on unit cohesion and troop morale. When this training includes videos lionizing Democrat presidents like Obama and Clinton as civil rights heroes but omits the gains made by black, Asian and Hispanic Americans under Trump, further seeds of division are sewn in the ranks. And when a maliciously false history of America as a nation born in slavery in 1619 is presented as truth, and the true American founding in 1776 as an avatar of equality and freedom is erased, the consequences for morale are destructive and dangerous.
If your military commanders tell you that your country was a racist nightmare from its inception, how does that affect your calculation as a 19-year-old when you are considering risking your life to defend it?
On April 9, 2021, Secretary Austin issued a memorandum announcing the establishment of the Countering Extremism Working Group (CEWG) to spearhead the military’s witch-hunt whose goal is to locate and stamp out “extremism” in its ranks.
To lead the CEWG, Austin appointed as his senior adviser on Human Capital and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, a black American named Bishop Garrison, who has made no secret of his profound contempt for former President Trump and the scores of millions of people who voted for him. In July 2019, for example, Garrison said in a tweet: “Support for him [Trump], a racist, is support for ALL his beliefs. He’s dragging a lot of bad actors (misogynist, extremists, other racists) out into the light, normalizing their actions. If you support the President, you support that.” “There is no room for nuance with this,” Garrison added. “There is no more ‘but I’m not like that’ talk.” This is the man in charge of purifying our military.
Austin’s decision to appoint Garrison to head the CEWG is even more significant in light of the fact that Garrison is a vocal supporter of the 1619
Fox Business Traitor Trump sycophantic host Stuart Varney was forced to admit, after economic data was released, that inflation is not an issue. The U.S. economy is barreling onward and upward.
Right wing hysteria, predicting that the stock market would crash and United States would be destroyed if Joe Biden won the presidency have been revealed and exposed as wingnut grievance fantasies.
Opening up Thursday's Varney & Co., Stuart said, "Inflation, that is the story of the day."
Republicans have been fear-mongering about inflation blowing up since the Biden administration passed the much needed American Rescue Plan Act help citizens stave off the effects of COVID-19.
"Start with consumer prices, up 0.6% in May. Up 5% year over year -- If you strip out energy and food, the inflation rate for the past year is 3.8%. That's it, 3.8% That's not huge by any means..."
Varney continued, "It's the inflation numbers, and what I'm gonna call relatively restrained inflation numbers. You may be surprised that...The treasury yield it's at 1.519%, which does not suggest we're in for a bout of serious inflation."
Usually Varney can spin any positive news into something negative for the Biden administration, but it's really hard to do this time, when his Wall Street buddies can read and analyze the same data.

Last October surprise
Since February, the President has declared at least 38 times that Covid-19 is either going to disappear or is currently disappearing.
His proclamations have been wildly inaccurate. When Trump first started making the claim in February, it was about the time the US had just suffered its very first known Covid-19 death. More than 220,000 deaths later, Trump continues to falsely claim that the virus will somehow just go away — even as the US experiences yet another surge in cases and hospitalizations.

What is happening in Maricopa County is not an “audit.”
It is an effort to subvert democracy.
Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wis.) slammed an audit of the 2020 election in Maricopa County, Ariz., calling it an “effort to subvert democracy.”
Cheney weighed in on the audit on Friday, blasting it on Twitter. The GOP-controlled Arizona state Senate is overseeing an audit of more than 2.1 million votes cast in the county last year.
President Biden won narrowly Arizona over former President Trump by less than 11,000 votes, becoming the first Democrat to carry the state since 1996.

Biden specifically won 49.81 percent of the vote in Maricopa County, compared to Trump’s 47.65 percent.
“What is happening in Maricopa County is not an ‘audit,’ Cheney said on Twitter. “It is an effort to subvert democracy.”

How America is now threatening its alliesNot content with undermining Israel's security, Biden has turned to destabilising the UK

Unionist Pro Israelis and Republican Pro Palestinians clash in Belfast
Israel isn’t the only country that’s having to cope with a US administration threatening to undermine its security.
President Joe Biden last week ordered a senior American diplomat to issue a severe formal rebuke to Britain for the way it is dealing with the European Union over Northern Ireland.
Accordingly, Yael Lempert, the acting head of the US mission to the United Kingdom, issued a diplomatic reprimand to Britain’s Brexit minister, Lord Frost, and delivered a veiled threat that America’s proposed trade deal with Britain depended upon Boris Johnson’s government acceding to Biden’s demands.
The noxiousness of this rebuke — more commonly issued to adversaries than to an ally— doesn’t just derive from America interfering in the policies of a sovereign country. It’s also because, just as with Israel, this interference is based on an ignorant and dangerously partisan view that, under the guise of advancing peace, is in fact a powerful incentive to further violence and aggression.
Lempert told Frost that Biden wanted the United Kingdom to settle its dispute with the EU even if that meant making “unpopular compromises.”
She suggested that in his robust negotiations with the EU, Frost was threatening to undermine the 1998 Northern Ireland “Good Friday” peace agreement.
The row centres on part of the Brexit deal with the EU known as the Northern Ireland Protocol, which resulted from the British government’s desperate attempt to untie a Gordian knot created by the Good Friday Agreement.
That agreement brought to an end years of terrorist violence between Northern Ireland’s majority Protestants and its Catholic minority, and against the British who had tried to keep the peace in this province of the United Kingdom.
Crucially, it involved an open border between Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
The agreement thus created a delicate balance between its guarantee to Northern Ireland’s Protestants that the island of Ireland would not be unified without their consent, and the simultaneous impression for Catholic Republicans of one seamless Irish territory of which the open border was a key feature.
Since the Republic of Ireland remains in the EU while Northern Ireland left it along with the rest of the United Kingdom, the problem arose of trade checks with the province that the EU would now require.
In order to avoid creating a “hard” border between the Irish Republic and Northern Ireland, the British government decided instead to leave the province inside the EU’s economic “single market.” This meant making the required EU checks on goods traffic between Northern Ireland and the British mainland.
This effectively created an invisible economic border down the middle of the Irish Sea, thus abandoning Northern Ireland’s Protestant Unionists to an anomalous limbo land. The only way through this political minefield was for people of good faith in Brussels and Dublin to adopt the lightest of touches to border trade controls.
According to Frost, the EU has been insisting instead on an over-the-top application of these controls, thus risking reigniting violent Protestant agitation.
Into this complex and potentially incendiary situation has waded Joe Biden. He is insisting that Britain cave into the EU.s demand for the protocol to be applied to the letter on the basis that this is needed to preserve the Good Friday Agreement.
What he fails to grasp is that, according to a key architect of that peace deal, Lord Trimble, the protocol itself subverts and undermines that agreement.
Accordingly, he wrote this week, the EU’s false claim that it was protecting the agreement in its fight with Britain was stirring up Protestant anger and rising tensions on the streets.

FOR YOUR SUNDAY CONSIDERATION:
A STATEMENT BY THE REV. JAMES BOSWELL, retired pastor of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) living n Normal, Illinois:
____________________________
I and other contemporary students and scholars of “the historical Jesus,” including some who are devout Christians, have been severely criticized by scriptural inerrantists for expressing our conviction that Jesus and John the Baptist, and all the apostles and authors of the New Testament were expecting the end of the age to come in their own generation.
MY REPLY: If the historical man Jesus of Nazareth were to come among us today, I think he would beg us to stop repeating the ridiculous notion that he is about to return on clouds of heaven, a notion repeated with firm conviction every few years in almost every generation by fundamentalists who often list certain supposedly inerrant reasons for why this must happen very soon.
I think he would point out to us that he and John the Baptist and the apostles were obviously mistaken in expecting an imminent ending of the world accompanied by the coming of God's wonderful Kingdom on all the earth in their own generation, and that there is now good scientific reason to think that our solar system has perhaps another four billion years left to survive, so that we on this planet should devote our energies to saving rather than destroying the wonderful ecosystem we have inherited but are speedily ruining.
I think too he would want us to understand that he had good reason to think the end was near in his own generation, influenced as he was by the Hebrew Prophets and especially by two visions in the Scroll of Daniel (chapters two and seven) which were written not in Hebrew but in the Aramaic he spoke daily and could easily read and understand even as a very young child, visions which influenced him to speak often in his later teachings of the imminent coming of both "the Kingdom of God" and "the Son of Man."
I also think he would want us to devote more time to examining all his other teachings and trying to determine anew in what ways those teachings are, or are not, still relevant for us today, and if and how and why they still should be practiced by people willing to devote themselves to the amazingly selfless communality he himself taught, lived, suffered and sacrificially died to exemplify.
Bring it on. We got the votes.
What they are fighting for is the ability to teach racial and anti-American hate. If they were trying to promote white supremacy be taught in schools we wouldn't be having this debate.
