This is really an outstanding point by Powerline Blog

THERE’S NO EXCUSE FOR DISMISSALS OF GOP CLAIMS ABOUT COVID’S ORIGIN
The Democrats and the mainstream media have a lot of explaining to do when it comes to their dismissal as a “conspiracy theory” of questions as to whether the Wuhan coronavirus originated in a Chinese lab. It was clear all along that the questions were legitimate, and now, finally, the media and the Dems are asking them too.
In doing so, they recognize the need to explain their earlier dismissal of the subject. And you’ll never guess the explanation they have come up with.
Just kidding. You know exactly where they place they blame. It’s Donald Trump’s fault.
Glenn Kessler, the Washington Post’s fact checker, started the ball rolling in that direction. He wrote that “the Trump administration’s messaging [on the origin of the virus] was often accompanied by anti-Chinese rhetoric that made it easier for skeptics to ignore its claims.”
If scrutinized at all, what the Democrat/media excuse really amounts to is an admission against interest. They are confessing to the rankest kind of partisanship — the dismissal of important and legitimate questions based on the political orientation of their source.
So as pointed out by Mirengoff, the issue here is apparently the lack of understanding by the media that China is a country led by a dictatorial leader who routinely hides information or lies to the rest of the world. Or if it is not a lack of understanding, then it is a willful decision to misrepresent criticisms and questions about how Xi Jinping and the Chinese Government were misrepresenting how Covid-19 came to be.

Either way, rather than take the issue seriously, the media made the determination that criticizing Jinping and the Chinese Government's cover up of information was going to be sold to the public as a racist attempt to blame Asians as a whole. The underlying reality being that faced with providing the public with an objective truth about the origins of a world-wide pandemic and creating an excuse to call Trump a racist, they didn't even blink.

Xi Jinping is a noble leader telling the truth, and Trump was a racist telling a lie.

According to new revelations from a Danish media outlet, the U.S. National Security Agency under the Barack Obama administration was using resources provided by Denmark’s intelligence agency to spy on European politicians. The investigation and subsequent news, known as the Dunhammer Report, followed details laid out in Edward Snowden’s Whistleblowing episode in which he uncovered the NSA’s abuse of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act courts to spy on private citizens.

The new revelations show the extent to NSA surveillance wasn’t only limited to U.S. citizens as it is now clear the agency was also spying on European politicians, including German Chancellor Angela Merkel. Previously in 2013, Merkel made it clear that the NSA spying on her would be unacceptable.

This cooperation between the American and Danish intelligence agencies even escalated to the point where Denmark allowed the NSA to set up south of Copenhagen on the Island of Amager. In addition to Germany, elite government officials in France, Sweden and Norway were under surveillance as well. French President Emmanuel Macron responded to those reports on Monday.

“It, very clearly, is not acceptable between allies, even less so between allies and European partners,” he asserted. “I care about the relationship of confidence that unites Europeans and Americans, and we thus have to do everything in our power for our common security.”

Crazy when NBC posts it too, eh alky?

European leaders are demanding answers after fresh allegations about the United States spying on its allies.

The uproar comes after Denmark’s public broadcaster reported on Sunday that the country’s intelligence service helped the U.S. eavesdrop on European officials almost a decade ago.

NBC News has not verified the report, which has thrust the issue back into the spotlight years after it first led to a diplomatic rift between Washington and Berlin.

French President Emmanuel Macron said on Monday that any American eavesdropping on European countries would not be “acceptable amongst allies.”

Macron said he was “attached to the bond of trust that unites Europeans and Americans,” asserting that “there is no room for suspicion between us.”

"We expect our Danish and American partners to be completely open and to clarify the matter," he said, speaking at a news conference following a virtual summit with German Chancellor Angela Merkel.

Merkel said she could only echo Macron's stance, noting that the allegations related to events several years ago but that they were serious if accurate.

Officials from Sweden and Norway joined the criticism and said they wanted Denmark to explain its alleged involvement.

“We want the cards on the table,’ said Swedish Defense Minister Peter Hulqvist, adding it was “unacceptable to eavesdrop on allies.”

The Danish broadcaster DR reported Sunday that the Danish Defense Intelligence Service, known in Denmark by its acronym FE, in 2014 conducted an internal investigation which concluded that the U.S. had used cooperation with the Danes to spy against Denmark and neighboring countries.

The National Security Agency (NSA) is alleged to have used Danish resources to spy on senior officials in Germany, France, Sweden and Norway from 2012 to 2014, in an initiative codenamed “Operation Dunhammer.”

NBC News has not verified the report.

Approached for comment, a spokesperson for the State Department referred NBC News to the NSA, while an NSA spokesperson said the intelligence agency has “no comment” on the allegations.

NBC News has contacted FE and the French government for comment.

A TRULY FRAUDULENT PRESIDENCY

As I have noted several times here, I see Joe Biden as the man with half a mind to be president. The senior moments, the vacant stare, the dependence on written texts he struggles to follow, the pitty pat/short step gait and all the rest seem like telltale signs of a man well into his dotage. I feel juvenile saying it, but juvenile in an “Emperor’s new clothes” kind of way.

Along comes the editorial board of Issues and Insights to put it somewhat more maturely in “A truly fraudulent presidency.” The I&I editors go beyond bluntness. Someone is in charge. Who might that be? They tentatively identify the man behind the curtain before they arrive at this conclusion: “The point is the Biden presidency, if not his election, too, is a fraud, an exercise in stagecraft. Someone has his or her hand in his back and is projecting [his or her] voice so it will sound like [Biden’s].”

Someone else is speaking for Sleepy Joe during his speeches

Pelosi rules out having Biden create Jan. 6 commission

By MARY CLARE JALONICK15 minutes ago

WASHINGTON (AP) — House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is ruling out a presidential commission to study the Jan. 6 insurrection at the Capitol, telling House Democrats on Tuesday that having President Joe Biden appoint a panel is unworkable even after the Senate blocked an independent probe last week.

Pelosi laid out possible next steps after Friday’s Senate vote, in which Senate Republicans blocked legislation to create an independent, bipartisan panel to investigate the siege by former President Donald Trump’s supporters. She proposed four options for an investigation of the attack, according to a person on the private Democratic caucus call who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss internal conversations.

The investigation the Republicans blocked would have issued the report by December 31st .

This one could be forcing Trump to testify, if he gets the nomination.

COVID-19 Vaccine Data Was Peer-Reviewed, Contrary to Meme’s Claim

By Saranac Hale Spencer

Posted on May 28, 2021

SciCheck Digest

The COVID-19 vaccines have been the subject of peer-reviewed studies that found they were effective and safe, but a meme has been circulating on social media falsely claiming that no such studies have been conducted.

How effective are the vaccines?

How safe are the vaccines?

Full Story

Clinical trials for the three COVID-19 vaccines available in the U.S. included tens of thousands of participants and have each been the subject of peer-reviewed studies.

But a meme circulating on social media has been spreading a false claim saying the opposite.

The meme includes this heading: “Things NOT being offered to take the Covid jab.” Then it lists: “Peer reviewed clinical studies proving its safety and efficacy” and “Liability when something goes wrong.”

It’s easy enough to show the first claim is false. The New England Journal of Medicine — a peer-reviewed publication — has published studies finding that the vaccines from Moderna, Pfizer/BioNTech and Johnson & Johnson are effective and safe. The NEJM is the oldest continuously published general medical journal in the world and is among the most frequently cited journals.

It’s also worth noting that more than 290 million vaccines have been administered across the country so far with only rare documented cases of serious adverse reactions, including anaphylaxis occurring in approximately 2 to 5 patients per million.

There also have been 32 cases of a rare and dangerous blood clotting condition (primarily in women under 50) among the 10 million people who received the J&J vaccine. The CDC has said that its review of those cases “has not established a causal link,” but “recent reports indicate a plausible causal relationship between the J&J/Janssen COVID-19 Vaccine and a rare and serious adverse event — blood clots with low platelets — which has caused deaths.” There have been three deaths linked to the condition as of May 7, the CDC said.

(See SciCheck’s articles on each of the vaccines: “A Guide to Moderna’s COVID-19 Vaccine,” “A Guide to Pfizer/BioNTech’s COVID-19 Vaccine” and “A Guide to Johnson & Johnson’s COVID-19 Vaccine.”)

TULSA, Okla. (AP) — An emotional President Joe Biden marked the 100th anniversary of the massacre that destroyed a thriving Black community in Tulsa, declaring Tuesday that he had “come to fill the silence” about one of the nation’s darkest — and long suppressed — moments of racial violence.

“Some injustices are so heinous, so horrific, so grievous, they cannot be buried, no matter how hard people try,” Biden said. “Only with truth can come healing.”

Biden’s commemoration of the deaths of hundreds of Black people killed by a white mob a century ago came amid the current national reckoning on racial justice.

“Just because history is silent, it does not mean that it did not take place,” Biden said. He said that “hell was unleashed. literal hell was unleashed.” And now, he said, the nation must come to grips with the following sin of denial.

“We can’t just choose what we want to know, and not what we should know,” said Biden. “I come here to help fill the silence, because in silence wounds deepen.”

After Biden left, there was a spontaneous singing by some audience members of a famous civil rights march song, “Ain’t Gonna Let Nobody Turn Me Around.”

NATIONAL FILE has exclusively obtained a document that a source claims was written by an underground group of strong President Donald Trump supporters that plans for the rise of “alternative elections” separate from the elections recognized by the political class. The 16-page document details a worldview in which American patriots live separately from the globalist authoritarians occupying the United States when it comes to business, social media communications, and political governance. The task force that wrote the document is apparently trying to get President Donald Trump’s Office of the Former President to adopt “alternative elections” as a Trump priority. The document claims to have gained support for its ideas from Republican leaders nationwide including members of Congress.

“There are some very high-net worth individuals funding them, and most of the guys on the team are much brighter than I am,” one self-identified political source in the Washington, D.C. area told us. “This is about 150 people, some who own companies and provide all kind of logistics, and they seem very serious…”

Democrat wins N.M. special election for U.S. House
State Rep. Melanie Stansbury (D) easily won the Albuquerque-area district filled until this spring by Interior Secretary Deb Haaland.

The document states that “we must present 45 an audacious middle path: a gradual separation of pro-America voters from the compromised electoral system into an alternative electoral system centered in 45’s OFP (Office of the Former President). Under free and fair alternative elections, 45 could pass the torch of the pro-America movement to a successor who is not beholden to the internal power structures of the current regime or even the Republican Party. Rather, the alternative electoral system would operate as a direct democracy for a separate people – real Americans – and offer a leadership alternative to the current regime. This audacious move would expose the regime itself to the free-market principles it currently manipulates through cronyism and corruption. Instead of a false choice between two regime candidates, or a doomed attempt to fight the Deep State from within, voters would be offered the possibility to choose the next standard bearer of the pro-America movement. Would-be leaders on the right would be forced to decide if they want their careers to be invested in the fruitless current system or if they prefer to back the OFP’s new land of opportunity. There is nothing illegal or seditious about using the OFP in this way, as it currently consists only of member votes within a private, voluntary organization – labor unions, by comparison, regularly hold elections and referenda. And voting in alternative OFP elections would not prevent anyone from casting a vote in official regime-sponsored elections as well.”

The document states: “Carrying out alternative elections will require an institution-building process of tremendous proportions. The populist energy that 45 generated and continues to direct is the engine that will power this endeavor. That is why our task force must work prudently and quickly to direct resources toward each of the alternative institutions, first those that can be prepared confidentially, then slowly widening the pitch circle to more and more stakeholders…The last task force roundtable produced several workable courses of action directed at solving the urgent post-election crisis. Although the course of action we selected was unsuccessful, task force leadership still believe it as the right choice with the greatest chance of success. It garnered the support of numerous states’ Attorneys General, members of Congress, legal experts, and GOP leaders – not only those in attendance, but many more outsiders who were drawn to our strategy on its merits. Despite its surreptitious origins in our task force, it was largely held up as a mainstream Republican election integrity strategy.”

On the heels of President Biden’s abrupt order to U.S. intelligence agencies to investigate the origins of the coronavirus, many scientists reacted positively, reflecting their push in recent weeks for more information about the work of a virus lab in Wuhan, China. But they cautioned against expecting an answer in the three-month time frame of the president’s request.

After long steering clear of the debate, some influential scientists have lately become more open to expressing uncertainties about the origins of the virus. If the two most vocal poles of the argument are natural spillover vs. laboratory leak, these new voices have added a third point of view: a resounding undecided.

“In the beginning, there was a lot of pressure against speaking up, because it was tied to conspiracies and Trump supporters,” said Akiko Iwasaki, an immunologist at Yale University. “There was very little rational discussion going on in the beginning.”

Virologists still largely lean toward the theory that infected animals — perhaps a bat, or another animal raised for food — spread the virus to humans outside of a lab. There is no direct evidence for the “lab leak” theory that Chinese researchers isolated the virus, which then infected a lab worker.

Former President Donald Trump has lost access to some of the biggest guns in his political arsenal. He can no longer tweet directly to the masses; nor can his Facebook page gin up excitement and ardor among his fans. But starting this week, Trump is firing up his most powerful remaining weapon. The good news is there are ways to blunt its effects.

NBC News' Jonathan Allen reported Tuesday: "Trump returns to the electoral battlefield Saturday as the marquee speaker at the North Carolina Republican Party's state convention. He plans to follow up with several more rallies in June and July to keep his unique political base engaged in the 2022 midterms and give him the option of seeking the presidency again in 2024."

Trump's return to the rally circuit is a major shift in what has so far been a period of stasis and self-imposed exile at Mar-a-Lago, where he accepts supplicants seeking his blessing and sends out press releases on a blog nobody reads. By holding rallies again, even if theoretically for the benefit of other candidates, Trump will potentially regain a major platform. Let's hope the news media has learned its lesson from six years ago.

Biden Maintains Majority Approval

Ron Brownstein:
“For most Americans, the unofficial arrival of summer with Memorial Day is a cause for celebration.
But for newly elected presidents, it’s more often been a reason for dread.
Sagging job approval ratings,
unanticipated challenges at home and abroad
and, above all,
diminishing legislative momentum
have been hallmarks of the first summer in office for recent presidents.

“The dynamic has afflicted presidents of both parties.
But the problem was especially acute for Bill Clinton and Barack Obama,
the last two Democratic presidents, who arrived in Washington, like Biden, with extremely ambitious legislative wish lists.”

Nate Silver notes that President Joe Biden’s approval rating has never been below 52.5% or above 55.0%.

Joe Biden’s Director of National Intelligence (DNI) Avril Haines hosted erotica readings at a Baltimore bookstore. Haines once featured an erotic reading from a man who said that he wrote the pornographic material when he was sixteen years old. Thus, Haines personally hosted the reading of erotic content written by an adolescent. Avril Haines took over as Joe Biden’s director of national intelligence in January 2021 after previously serving as Barack Obama’s deputy CIA director and an Obama White House staffer. She is most notable for redacting large portions of the Senate “torture report” to protect Deep State activities.

A Baltimore Sun article from May 1995 shows that Haines hosted Erotica Nights at Baltimore’s Adrian’s Book Cafe. One passage from the article reads as follows: “Mr. Cornish laughs and claps when Zulema gets her man. He seems anxious to stall the inevitable, but seconds later he clears his throat and reads from a fabric-covered journal. “Death Speaks” is his own creation: Come to me sweet lover…And let my lips suck the warmth from your flesh…I can feel your heat, your pain, your fear..Your screams are like music to me …He recites the lines briskly, lessening their emotional wallop. “You wrote that when you were how old?” someone asks. “Sixteen,” he says, unsure whether to feel embarrassed or proud.”

President Joe Biden told the child daughter of a veteran that he loved the barrettes in her hair and that she “looks like she’s 19 years old sitting there like a little lady with her legs crossed” during a speech in Virginia on Friday, maintaining eye contact with the girl throughout the stream of compliments.

“I’m especially honored to share the stage with Britney, and Jared [unintelligible] Nathan and Margaret Catherine,” Biden said, turning to stare at a girl off-camera. “I love those barrettes in your hair, man. I’ll tell you what, look at her she looks like she’s 19 years old sitting there like a little lady with her legs crossed.” Biden then trailed off into a chuckle.

Biden’s penchant for associating children with ice cream also surfaced last week, when he explained how George Floyd’s 7-year-old daughter sat on his lap while he offered her ice cream:

Joe Biden revealed that George Floyd’s 7-year-old daughter, Gianna, threw her arms around him, hugged him, and asked to sit in his lap. Biden then provided her snacks, including ice cream, and said Jill Biden “would kill” him if she knew.

While discussing his interactions with the family of George Floyd, the deceased fentanyl user who died in police custody after attempting to pass a fake bill one year ago today, he revealed that Floyd’s 7-year-old daughter, Gianna, “threw her arms around me, gave me a big hug — and wanted to sit in my lap.” He added that she then announced she was hungry and asked Biden for snacks. “My wife would kill me — we gave her some ice cream, she had some Cheetos, and I think she had some chocolate milk,” before revealing he could not remember the another snacks provided to the 7-year-old

Statement from Vice President Kamala Harris on Administration’s Voting Rights Efforts

JUNE 01, 2021 • STATEMENTS AND RELEASES

Every American has a right to have their voice heard at the ballot box, and no American should be kept from voting early, voting by mail, or voting at all. Our democracy is strongest when everyone participates, and it is weaker when people are left out.

Throughout the arc of our nation’s history, many have worked—and many have died—to ensure that all Americans can cast a ballot and have their vote counted. Today, that hard-won progress is under assault.

In the last election, more people voted than ever before. Since then, more than 380 bills have been introduced across the country that would make it harder for Americans to vote. These bills seek to restrict the options that make voting more convenient and accessible, including early voting and vote by mail. Our Administration will not stand by when confronted with any effort that keeps Americans from voting.

We must protect the fundamental right to vote for all Americans regardless of where they live. There are two important bills in Congress that would do just that. The For the People Act would provide all Americans with fair and accessible voting options, and the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act would prevent discriminatory changes to voting laws and procedures.

President Joe Biden asked me to help lead our Administration’s effort to protect the fundamental right to vote for all Americans. In the days and weeks ahead, I will engage the American people, and I will work with voting rights organizations, community organizations, and the private sector to help strengthen and uplift efforts on voting rights nationwide. And we will also work with members of Congress to help advance these bills.

The work ahead of us is to make voting accessible to all American voters, and to make sure every vote is counted through a free, fair, and transparent process. This is the work of democracy.

American Greatness is the new Confederate Flag

While we should not abandon our attempts to make positive change in the current system, we cannot rely solely on proceduralist maneuvers to attempt reconciliation with people who make it clear they want to defeat and destroy us. We must begin to relocate physically to welcoming local geographies and rebuild our capacity for independent action by creating parallel institutions to the existing corrupted ones. My Claremont Institute colleague Michael Anton has suggested some ways in which fundamental internal political reorganization of our states and localities could head off a dire crisis.

We must aggressively challenge executive orders and unconstitutional laws within the boundaries of states we will control and begin to selectively sidestep enforcement of draconian federal laws that are odious to our values, the plain language of the Constitution, and to the concept of American liberties.

There are, of course, good people on the other side of the aisle, including, for many of us, family and friends. But it is a time for choosing. Those good people remaining on the Left must decide to which type of polity they aspire. If they wish to urge their leaders to turn dramatically from their current course and reconcile with us, we should meet them in a spirit of compromise. But, if they wish to cast their lots with our current overlords and their increasingly totalitarian designs, we must tell them that while they are welcome to govern themselves they are no longer allowed to govern us.

It will be overwhelming to oppose an enemy that controls virtually every single institution of society. There are indeed insurrectionists in Washington, D.C., the problem is that they are currently running the country and the bureaucracy, having imprisoned a few sad-sack political opponents who did not understand the rules of the game being played.

The growing and energetic majority of Democratic leaders have already seceded from America—from its culture, its history, its government and its institutions.

Lincoln lost Fort Sumter, but he, and America, eventually would triumph in the broader struggle. In 1861, America’s opponents made it clear and they viewed the war as existential. Lincoln responded with firmness and determination, a determination that would eventually lead to victory. In 2021, the Democrats have made clear that they see their struggle against us as an existential one, and that there is no tactic they will not use in search of total victory.

We need to match their resolve with our own.

Why Did Biden Call Out Manchin and Sinema?
June 2, 2021 at 6:24 am EDT By Taegan Goddard 18 Comments

President Biden apparently called out Sens. Joe Manchin (D-WV) and Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ) yesterday as key Democratic senators blocking passage of his agenda.

Playbook:
“Both senators obviously relish their independence and would probably wear such a rebuke as a badge of honor if it were coming from anyone else. But Biden is the leader of the party, and he just flashed a bright green light to the rest of the Democratic establishment: If they want to go after either member, go for it. (Neither office wanted to weigh in on this when asked for comment.)”

“Republicans working on an infrastructure deal told us they were confused by the swipe.”

Said one top GOP aide: “What the president said today was not helpful. There is a genuine interest among Senate Republicans to get a bipartisan deal focused on core infrastructure. We know there are a handful of Senate Democrats also interested in that. To the extent that the president pushes those Dems away, that’s helpful to us. NO N*****S VOTING, PLEASE!!!!

Shouting fake accusations doesn't make it true. The truth is voter reform is popular with Americans at large, including the black community.

7:15 Admitting that Tulsa was a horrific chapter in American history is "pandering"?

Several screws have to be loose in Commonsense's head.

A great example of a GOP that wishes to pander to the deplorable, despicable racists among us.

During the Tulsa Race Massacre, private airplanes actually flew over the prosperous black section of Tulsa dropping turpentine incendiary bombs on successful black business buildings.

But that should not be mentioned in the teaching of American history, according to GOP critics of honest critical racial teaching.

Honest, decent, truthful Rev. said...

The prosperous black section of Tulsa was targeted by whites who HATED THEM BECAUSE THEY WERE SUCCESSFUL AND PROSPEROUS AND WERE ACCOMPLISHING THE AMERICAN DREAM.

That section of Tulsa was known as "the Black Wall Street." But those uppity N*****S had to be taught a lesson, according to Tulsa white supremacist racists.

Commonsense said...

7:15 Admitting that Tulsa was a horrific chapter in American history is "pandering"?

Yes, it was pandering. Biden uses it to announce a bunch of meaningless (and Unconstitutional) programs targeted towards the black community.

He cynically used the Tulsa massacre to forward his agenda. That's pandering.

Honest, decent, truthful Rev. said...

Pick up the screws around your feet.

FIFY

All the people in the mob were registered Democrats. The officials who tried to memory-hole it were Democrats. The massacre was shameful and a gross criminal act that was known so at the time. No revisionism here.

For Your Information

The southern states that opposed civil rights were largely white Democrats. But that has changed.

Otherwise, you of the GOP wouldn't be so desperately trying to keep blacks from voting.

Pressure Grows on Joe Manchin
June 2, 2021 at 8:30 am EDT By Taegan Goddard 16 Comments

“Democratic leaders and activists are urgently stepping up pressure on Sen. Joe Manchin to support legislation to fight Republican-led voting restrictions across the country, with party officials increasingly concluding that the battle over voting rights could come down to what the centrist Democrat from West Virginia does,” the Washington Post reports.

C'mon, Joe Manchin.

Many now shipped all over America and others still poring in

Maybe that would suppress her tendency to inappropriately laugh

You can sure tell she has never raised any kids

Really what's changed others than Democrats trying to memory-hole the fact that the KKK is the military wing of the Democrat party.

Otherwise, you of the GOP wouldn't be so desperately trying to keep blacks from voting.

Otherwise, you would be so desperate to lie about laws the people at large including a good portion of the black community approve of.

Racist dems like the "pastor" don't really care about Asians, illegal immigrant children or blacks.

They are all pawns in their quest for power.

Look how they treat blacks who don't toe the party line.

Republicans Are a Threat to Democracy
June 2, 2021 at 9:00 am EDT By Taegan Goddard 7 Comments

Jonathan Bernstein:
“How worried should we be about the state of democracy in the U.S.? A group of leading political scientists who study the issue say:
a lot.
A whole lot.
In fact, they say: ‘our entire democracy is now at risk.’

They’re correct.
If they had asked me,
I would’ve signed on.

The problem is easy enough to describe.
In a two-party political system, one party, the Republican Party, has in large part turned antidemocratic.
That party will eventually be voted into office,
and if it implements nationally
the policies that some of its leading politicians have advocated
— and in some cases advanced at the state level —
it’s possible that it will succeed in seriously harming democracy.”

Stanbury's campaign was closely tied to initiatives of the Biden administration. It was an open four way race to fill a vacancy previously held by Deb Haaland, who left the House to become President Biden's Interior Secretary.

The 42 year old state legislator outpaced her Republican rival by more than 30,000 votes, garnering roughly six of every ten votes as ballots were tallied into the night.

Stansbury closely tethered her bid for Congress to proposed and enacted Democratic legislation on

She strode onstage in Albuquerque with both arms raised high in celebration of her win. She said the grit and determination that fueled her campaign were learned from her own mother who worked in a denim factory and for years as a crane operator.
