Well some don't appear to know it...

Joe Biden Got Absolutely Rolled by Putin and Everyone Knows It
If your only sources of news came from the major broadcast and cable networks, excluding Fox News, you’d think Joe Biden just had the first major triumph of his presidency. According to CNN, he defiantly stared down Vladamir Putin in a show of force not seen since Reagan’s speech in then-West Germany. In reality, Biden was just too senile to understand it was time to look at the cameras.
Seriously, let’s look at the facts. Biden, for reasons that make sense to no one who has any understanding of foreign policy, decided to go into the meeting with no real plan at all. What was on the table to be gained? What were we hoping to get the opposition to give up? These are important questions that should be asked anytime a president holds a summit with an adversary. Yet, it was clear Biden’s only real plan was to wear aviators and eat ice cream.
Let’s also note that on substance, Biden folded like a wash-and-wear suit in the face of the Russian strongman. Putin’s biggest priority, not just now but for the last decade, has been to finish Nord Stream 2. Donald Trump had placed sanctions preventing the completion of the strategic and lucrative pipeline from Russia to Europe. Yet, for absolutely nothing in return, Biden just handed it to Putin while committing the United States at NATO to pay for Germany’s defense from the very enemy they are enriching. What great diplomacy, right?
If that weren’t bad enough, Biden then gave Putin an actual list of major targets in the United States to not attack with cyberattacks. In doing so, he might as well have hung a giant “please hack us” on America’s most important infrastructure.

Let's be honest here folks. This was like the John Lennon statement (if real) where he demanded that the Beatles could show up on stage and just fart, and people would love them. There are some that don't care exactly what Joe Biden actually does, as long as he is not Donald Trump they will declare it as a victory.

I admittedly didn't pay much attention to the Summit. I paid a bit of attention to the attention being paid by others. There certainly seems to be a substantial disconnect between what the shrinking pro-Biden crowd saw and what the rest of the nation saw.

I did see the pictures where Biden and Putin are shaking hands (obviously for the camera) and Biden is looking at Putin while Putin is smiling for the camera. My first thought was why the fuck is our President not looking at the people taking pictures? Is he clueless to the photo-op here? Then I read the pro-Biden apologists suggest that it was Putin looking at the camera that was the real problem. That somehow after dealing with Clinton, Bush, Obama, and Trump that he was so intimated by Joe Biden that he couldn't keep eye contact. Ahem.

The truth is that these summits are about projecting an image, of course. But that image comes not by "staring at someone during a photo-op" but rather by putting forth some sort of cohesive agenda that while might never actually come to fruition, will provide a serious backdrop to what you are attempting to accomplish. Biden provided no real American agenda, while Putin once again put himself on a level (if not elevated) playing field with Biden.

Now I don't know if (as Bonchie suggested) that there is a substantial price to pay for this. Yeah, Putin will get  his pipeline that every President (including Trump) previously thwarted. We have committed to paying for another country's defenses again.

My last point is this. Some liberal journalists suggested that Biden's "vast foreign policy experience" was a factor here. To be clear, there is nobody on the planet with more foreign policy experience than Vladimir Putin. He has transcended American administration after American administration. To Putin, Biden is a fake with no real actual experience in how the world works. While Biden was spending his time finding work for his out of a job son, Putin has been arguably the most important and consistent world leader for two decades. To pretend that the near senile got the better of Putin because of his vast international experience is a joke. He is a golden glove qualifier going against a professional champion.

The arguments from the pro-Biden apologists are just as dumb as the performance by Joe Biden.

That was a level of stupid that even I wasn't sure Slow Joe was capable of.

The exact opposite happened.
Our President stood up for American values and reunited NATO in opposition to the Russian oligarchy.

Once again Vladimir Putin brainwashed the Republican party.

For the past few years, Republicans in Congress have echoed Russian propaganda. On Wednesday, in Geneva, Vladimir Putin returned the favor: He echoed Republican propaganda.

After a meeting with President Biden, Russia’s strongman used his moment on the international stage to hold a news conference. ABC News’s Rachel Scott was waiting for him.

“The list of your political opponents who are dead, imprisoned or jailed is long,” she said, including “Alexei Navalny, whose organization calls for free and fair elections and an end to corruption …. So my question, Mr. President: What are you so afraid of?”

The dictator replied by invoking the lie, told by Donald Trump and Republican leaders, that American cities have been convulsed by violence. “America just recently had very severe events after well known events, after a killing of an African American, and an entire movement developed known as Black Lives Matter,” Putin said. “What we saw was disorder, destruction, violations of the law, etc.. We feel sympathy for the United States of America, but we don’t want that to happen on our territory.”

In fact he echoed the same rhetoric that you have been spouting since January 6th when the former President incited an attempted coup against the Constitution of the United States of America.

To be clear.

To be clear, there is nobody on the planet with more foreign policy experience than President Biden. He was elected to the Senate in 1972!

Putin was a child.

You admittedly didn't pay much attention to the Summit. I paid a bit of attention to the attention being paid by others.  Like Sean Hannity and Redstate websites.

You actually admitted that you don't have enough information to make a logical conclusion. Instead as since he was nominated you choose to believe everything he said and did.

It's a typical example of brainwashing.

To you, Biden is a fake with no real actual experience in how the world works.

32 years in the Senate and eight years as the Vice President of the United States. He worked extensively on foreign affairs during his term as vice President.

Because I am retired I had the time to watch the President in his first foreign visit to our long time allies. Even the Prime Minister of Great Britain, a very conservative politician praised Biden for being normal instead of acting like on Twitter.

You are still being gaslighted by Trump, despite the fact he lost by the largest popular vote margin in history.

Biden provided a transitional real American agenda.

The threat of a nuclear war is about zero.

President Biden made it very clear that anyother ransomware and cyberattacks on the United States or our allies under article 5, that any attack on our allies, everyone would fight back just like they did in response to the 9/11 attacks that eventually led to killing Osama bin Laden and again their assistance in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The former President was an unknowing supporter of isolationism. Those people opposed our support of Great Britain before the Pearl Harbor attack

Are you really an isolationist??

WASHINGTON — Former President Donald Trump promised to repeal Obamacare, the health insurance program that helped fuel the backlash tea party movement and ultimately his own candidacy.

If Trump couldn't get Congress to do away with the law — and he couldn't, even with Republicans in control of both chambers — he vowed to choose Supreme Court justices who would declare Obamacare unconstitutional.

"If I win the presidency, my judicial appointments will do the right thing, unlike Bush's appointee John Roberts on Obamacare," Trump tweeted in 2015, referring to the decision Roberts wrote that preserved the law's mandate for Americans to buy health insurance.

Supreme Court upholds the Affordable Care Act

But two of the three jurists Trump picked for the court — Brett Kavanaugh and Amy Coney Barrett — voted with Roberts as part of a 7-2 majority Thursday to deny standing to a group of conservative states that claimed the law harmed them. It was a major blow — perhaps a decisive one — against the political right's long fight against Obamacare and a sign of the limit of Trump's influence on the justices he appointed.

In the first hours after the ruling, Trump greeted the news with the deafening silence of defeat.

You remained silent on Obamacare because you are fixated on Sleepy Joe bullshit

Typical authoritarian philosophy by Putin.

Putin’s comments to the media suggested the two leaders did not find much common ground.

In addition to his denials that Russia had played a destabilizing role in cyberspace, he also took a hard line on human rights in Russia.

He said Biden had raised the issue but struck the same defiant tone on the matter in his news conference as he has in the past. The United States, Putin said, supports opposition groups in Russia to weaken the country, since it sees Russia as an adversary.

REP. JACKSON CALLS ON PRESIDENT BIDEN TO IMMEDIATELY UNDERGO A COGNITIVE TEST

Washington, June 17, 2021

WASHINGTON — Today, Congressman Ronny Jackson (TX-13) sent a letter to President Joe Biden, Physician to the President Kevin O’Connor, D.O. and Chief Medical Advisor Anthony Fauci, M.D. calling on President Biden to immediately undergo a cognitive test and share the results with the American people. His letter comes after a clear decline of Biden’s cognitive ability, including embarrassing performances on the world stage.

Jackson said: “The American people deserve to have absolute confidence in their President. They deserve to know that he or she can perform the duties demanded of the office, and they deserve to have full transparency on the mental state of their highest elected leader. I would argue that the American people don’t have that confidence in President Biden. When I was Physician to President Donald J. Trump, the liberal media relentlessly pushed a narrative that he needed a cognitive test and that it should be the standard for anyone serving as Commander-in-Chief and Head of State. I administered the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MOCA) test and President Trump excelled. Given the precedent set and Biden’s clear mental impairment, I believe it is past time he undergo a cognitive test.”

The full letter can be found here. Co-signers include Reps. Bob Gibbs (OH-07), Jeff Duncan (SC-03), Andy Harris (MD-01), Brian Babin (TX-36), Jody Hice (GA-10), Claudia Tenney (NY-22), W. Gregory Steube (FL-17), Tom Tiffany (WI-07), Kat Cammack (FL-03), Jerry L. Carl (AL-01), Pat Fallon (TX-04), Diana Harshbarger (TN-01), and Beth Van Duyne (TX-24).

Two days before, Meadows had also sent Rosen a translated letter purportedly from an aerospace executive named Carlo Goria which also detailed — in Italian and then translated into English — a plot to rig the election involving Italy.

The officials threatened to resign.

Rep. Ronny Jackson — Trump's controversial ex-doctor — calls for Biden cognitive test
Yahoo News
Rep. Ronny Jackson, R-Texas — former President Donald Trump’s controversial ex-doctor — sent a letter to President Biden on Thursday demanding that he take a cognitive test and make the results public.

“The American people should have absolute confidence in their President,” Jackson wrote in the letter, which was co-signed by 13 other GOP lawmakers. “They deserve to know that he or she can perform the duties of Head of State and Commander in Chief. They deserve full transparency on the mental capabilities of their highest elected leader. To achieve this, we urge you to submit to a cognitive test immediately. We implore you to then publish the test results, so the American people know the full mental and intellectual health of their President.”

In 2018, Jackson, the attending White House physician at the time, announced that Trump had requested and aced a cognitive test during a physical examination to disprove claims that his mental health was deteriorating.

Jackson also declared Trump to be in “excellent” health despite the fact that the president was nearly obese at the time.

In his letter to Biden, Jackson said that all presidents should “follow the precedent set by former President Trump to document and demonstrate sound mental abilities.”

Biden, the oldest president in U.S. history, has already committed to releasing the results of a physical due later this year.

The White House did not immediately return a request for comment.

Throughout his presidency, Trump was dogged by questions about his cognitive state. In turn, he often lashed out at his critics, claiming on Twitter that he was a “very stable genius.”

During the 2020 presidential campaign, Trump and his allies tried to paint Biden as mentally unfit for office — a strategy that seemed to backfire.

Jackson, a former Navy admiral, began working in the White House in the mid-2000s. In 2013, President Barack Obama named him his top White House physician — a role Jackson retained when Trump took office.

Trump nominated Jackson to be his secretary of veterans affairs in 2018, but Jackson withdrew his nomination following accusations of drinking on the job and overprescribing medication to patients.

A Pentagon inspector general report released earlier this year
found that Jackson drank alcohol,
made sexual comments to subordinates
and took the sedative Ambien while working as White House physician.
The report also found that he mistreated subordinates
and “disparaged, belittled, bullied and humiliated them.”

Jackson denied the allegations and called the report a “political hit job.”

He won the race to represent Texas’s 13th Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives last year.

Election data from the politicized “audit” of Maricopa County, Arizona’s 2020 election results has made its way across multiple state lines to a secure “lab” — or maybe a cabin — in Montana.

The purported lab location, CNN reported Wednesday night, is the residence of the founder of an audit subcontractor who lives off of a Montana highway.

The Arizona Republic first reported the story two weeks ago: Ben Cotton, the founder of the audit’s tech contractor CyFIR, made copies of Maricopa County’s election server and other data and drove them to what one audit spokesperson described as a “secure lab” in Montana. The spokesperson, Ken Bennett, told the Republic he didn’t have any details on how Cotton was keeping that data secure.

Secretary of State Katie Hobbs’ (D) office had earlier noted the Montana twist on its website: “Observation: On May 24, 2021, Senate Liaison Ken Bennett confirmed that copies of voting system data was sent to a lab in Montana. He did not specify what security measures were in place, or what the lab in Montana will do with the data or how long it will be in possession of the copies.”

The Republic reported that Ryan Macias, an elections expert who’s observing the audit for Hobbs’ office, asked Bennett about the data traveling to Montana after hearing a rumor about it.

The Republic and CNN noted that Cotton, in addition to being the founder of CyFIR, is also CEO of its precursor company CyTech. CyTech’s website, which lists Cotton as CEO, also lists a Montana address off of Montana Highway 83 in Bigfork, not far from Flathead Lake. Records indicate Cotton is the property owner, the Republic and CNN reported.

It’s not clear what data traveled to Montana. Neither the audit, CyTech nor CyFIR responded to TPM’s requests for comment.

CNN followed up in person, sending reporter Gary Tuchman to the Montana property and capturing what appeared to be drone footage of the land.

The Congress has to conduct an investigation into the actions of the President Trump after election day in November 2020.

While it received far less attention that the Fed’s dot plot, the only thing that the Fed actually did change yesterday were its administered rates, as it raised the rate on its overnight Reverse Repo facility from 0% to 0.05% and the rate on excess reserves (IOER) from 0.10% to 0.15%.

Since the RRP hike meant the GC rate would also have to increase, we noted last night that “with both market rates and RRP at .05%, there’s really no economic incentive for cash investors to move cash to the Repo market.”

Furthermore, now that the Fed is actually paying counterparties a modest but non-negligible 5bps on reserve deposits, it has made the RRP even more attractive compared to when it paid nothing (when the RRP rate was 0.0%), as it now generates a higher risk free yield than many short-term Bills

Did Macron Scold Biden at NATO Summit?
Single photographs can be misinterpreted easily.

Claim
A photograph shows French President Emmanuel Macron scolding U.S. President Joe Biden during a NATO summit in 2021.
Rating
Miscaptioned
About this rating

Origin
In June 2021, world leaders from dozens of countries met in Brussels for the 31st formal meeting of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO). U.S. President Joe Biden held a number of bilateral meetings and news conferences during the event, and although a number of world leaders made remarks praising the American president — British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said Biden was “a big breath of fresh air,” and French President Emmanuel Macron said it was “great to have a U.S. president who’s part of the club” — some Biden critics focused on a single image from the multi-day trip that they claimed showed Macron “scolding” the U.S. president.

It is a genuine image of Biden and Macron. However, the claim that Macron was “scolding” Biden is based purely on speculation.

A single photograph is rarely enough to tell the entire story of an interaction. In fact, we’ve covered multiple instances in which single photographs were misrepresented and shared with misleading or fabricated context.

In May 2017, for example, an image of Pope Francis “frowning” with former President Donald Trump was shared alongside an image of the pope “smiling” with former President Barack Obama.

These photographs were both real, but they only showed a single moment from each president’s meeting with the pope and did not accurately depict his mood during these meetings. We found other images that showed the pope smiling with Trump and frowning with Obama.

This tactic of cherry-picking a single image to create a misleading narrative was also at play when users shared the image that supposedly showed Macron “scolding” Biden. Although one could share this “scolding” image along with claims that Biden was “bullied” by European leaders, one could share other photographs (such as the one at the top of this page) to claim that Biden was best buds with Macron.

REPORT: John Brennan Hid Evidence That Putin Actually Wanted Hillary to Win in 2016

The Senate Intelligence Committee report falsely claims that “all analytical lines are supported with all-source intelligence” and that analysts who wrote the intelligence community assessment consistently said they “were under no politically motivated pressure to reach specific conclusions.”

House Intelligence Committee staff members found the opposite. They told me there was conflicting intelligence evidence on Russian motivations for meddling in the 2016 election.

More gravely, they said that CIA Director Brennan suppressed facts or analysis that showed why it was not in Russia’s interests to support Trump and why Putin stood to benefit from Hillary Clinton’s election. They also told me that Brennan suppressed that intelligence over the objections of CIA analysts.

House Intelligence Committee staff told me that after an exhaustive investigation reviewing intelligence and interviewing intelligence officers, they found that Brennan suppressed high-quality intelligence suggesting that Putin actually wanted the more predictable and malleable Clinton to win the 2016 election

THREAD: https://twitter.com/EmeraldRobinson/status/1405940627318181888

So the head of Chinese counter intel efforts in America has defected to USA. He's in the hands of DIA right now. His name is Dong Jingwei.

He's provided DIA with the contents of Hunter Biden's laptop.

He has confirmed that a THIRD of all Chinese students in US are spies.

According to multiple media outlets, this high level Chinese detector gave info to DIA:

1) Financial records on US govt officials & business people who took money from CCP.

2) US citizens who gave intel to China.

3) Names of Chinese spies currently in USA.

According to Townhall & Red State, Dong "has extremely embarrassing and damaging information about our intelligence community" in the data he has given to DIA.

CCP defector Dong has also provided DIA with:

4) early studies on COVID.

5) computer models of how COVID would spread & damage assessments to USA & Western nations.

6) Financial records of orgs that funded COVID & other bio weapons research.

According to Red State sources, this defector "has the rest of the intelligence community [in USA] and the LEO community scared shitless."

Obviously this should be one of the top stories in the US media today.

ANALYSIS: TRUE. John McWhorter: You Are Not A Racist to Criticize Critical Race Theory.

The early writings by people like Regina Austin, Richard Delgado, KimberlΓ© Crenshaw are simply hard-leftist legal analysis, proposing a revised conception of justice that takes oppression into account, including a collective sense of subordinate group identity. These are hardly calls to turn schools into Maoist re-education camps fostering star chambers and struggle sessions.

However, this, indeed, is what is happening to educational institutions across the country. Moreover, it is no tort to call it “CRT” in shorthand when:

1) these developments are descended from its teachings and

2) their architects openly bill themselves as following the tenets of CRT.

In language, terms evolve, and quickly — witness, of late, how this has happened with cancel culture and even woke. To insist that “CRT” must properly refer only to the contents of obscure law review articles from decades ago is a debate team stunt, not serious engagement with a dynamic and distressing reality.

Engagement with reality is not the point.

Makes sense now

Biden is Putin's puppet as Hillary would have been

It always made sense. What made NO sense was the "Trump was Putin's puppet" bullshit.

Hillary was a clown as a carpetbagging senator in NY, the worst presidential candidate in several decades, an absolute fucking CLOWN as Sec State which the Russian reset revealed, and just an all-around clueless twat.

It never made any sense that given the choice between a known quantity - Hillary, and an unknown and potentially loose cannon - Trump, that Putin would want Trump over her.

The miracle of the whole thing was how so many people peddled such an obviously laughable fable with a straight fucking face.

Silicon Valley Is Ideologically Allied with the Regime. But That's Not Enough.

It’s been abundantly clear for at least a decade that ideologically speaking, Silicon Valley is as politically mainstream as it gets. The old early-2000s notion that Silicon Valley harbors secret libertarian, antiestablishment leanings has been disproven dozens of times over.

Moreover, Washington has a long history of co-opting tech “geniuses” to serve the whims of the regime. Even back in 2013 Julian Assange already saw the “ever closer union” between government agents and Silicon Valley. Assange pointed to how federal agencies were hiring Silicon Valley workers as "consultants" and saw where the "partnership" was headed. He concluded “The advance of information technology epitomized by Google heralds the death of privacy for most people and shifts the world toward authoritarianism.”

But even if Silicon Valley is packed full of stooges for the NSA—as appears to be the case—this still doesn’t mean that Silicon Valley firms are willing to happily hand over their property to the federal government. After all, Silicon Valley CEOs, managers, and stockholders are all still at least partly in it for the money. All else being equal, they prefer profit to loss, and they want freedom to make decisions free of regulatory control. They probably don’t care about freedom in the abstract, but they care about it for themselves.

The Threat of Regulation Creates Support for the Regime

On the other hand, once federal policymakers and regulators start making threats, the game changes entirely. All of a sudden, it makes a lot of sense to pursue “friendly” relations with the state as a matter of self-preservation. If Washington has the ability to destroy your business—and if it has become impossible to “fly under the radar”—then it makes a lot of sense to make Washington your friend.

Under these circumstances, there’s little to be gained from blanket opposition to federal regulation, and a lot to be gained from embracing regulation while merely working to ensure that regulation benefits you and your friends.

Big Business versus Small Business

So, it should never surprise us when big business ultimately ends up siding with the regime. It would be folly not to, especially if one has the means to hire lobbyists, attorneys, and PR consultants which can help Big Business negotiate effectively with regulators. Needless to say, the outcomes of these negotiations are likely to end up helping the big players at the expense of smaller ones who aren't even present at the negotiating table.

For small firms that have little hope of influencing federal policy, it still makes sense to simply oppose federal activism altogether and hope for the best. But if your firm manages to get a seat "at the table" it's best to seize the opportunity. To quote an old saying among lobbyists: "if you're not at the table, you're on the menu."

But let us not forget that even when private firms can bring immense amounts of resources to bear for purposes of influencing public policy and negotiating with bureaucrats: the regime itself ultimately holds the advantage. No private firm in the world has the resources to ignore or veto the wishes of the regime's army of regulators, prosecutors, and tax collectors. No private firm enjoys anything approaching the coercive monopoly power of the state.

But this doesn't mean those firms can't share in this power. And that's very often what happens. Faced with a "join us or be destroyed" ultimatum from federal regulators or lawmakers, most private firms choose the "join us" option. Of course, many smaller firms aren't even offered the choice.

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) offered tongue-in-cheek insight on Friday into why his working relationship with former President Trump is successful: They both like Trump.

Graham, speaking at the Faith & Freedom Coalition Conference, showered praise on the former president and recounted how they went from bitter enemies during the 2016 presidential race to close allies, with Graham emerging as one of Trump's staunchest defenders after he won.

"During my brief time I said everything about Donald Trump that I could say that was bad. We didn't hit it off," Graham said.

"He called me over to his office, and said I'd like you to help me. ... We came to find common ground, that common ground is that he likes him, and I've come to like him. That will get you through 18 holes of golf, the front nine is about why he likes him, the back nine is why I liked him," Graham added.

Graham's quip on Trump sparked rounds of laughter from the conservative audience. But it also hit at a key Trump trait: That he's well known for liking to talk about himself, and making close allies out of fellow Republicans who will publicly praise and defend him. Trump is equally quick to lash out at Republicans who disagree with him publicly, even if they are longtime allies.

Graham on Friday also jokingly acknowledged Trump's public feud with Senate GOP Leader Mitch McConnell (Ky.). The two were closely aligned during Trump's time in the White House, but their relationship unraveled after McConnell publicly congratulated President Biden on winning the 2020 election in mid-December. Trump has repeatedly lashed out at McConnell, who has stopped mentioning Trump directly by name in public.

"I don't see Mitch and Trump going on vacation, but that's OK. We've just gotta, we've just gotta get to the same place. I don't care if we take different cars, do y'all?" Graham said

After inauguration day in 2025, he would come out and announce he is getting married to President Donald Trump!

The FBI was the Insurrectionists! Congratulations to Thecoldheartedtruth

When they spilled on the so-called “Capitol Siege” of January 6, 2021, none hold the key to the entire event quite like what Sen. Amy Klobuchar asked of Christopher Wray.

The Democrat from Minnesota asked the Trump-appointed FBI Director: Did the federal government infiltrate any of the so-called “militia” organizations claimed to be responsible for planning and executing the Capitol Siege?

The full segment is available on YouTube.

Christopher Wray is able to uncomfortably weasel his way out of answering the question directly, partially because Klobuchar does him the courtesy of not asking him the question directly. Klobuchar instead asks the FBI director if he wishes he had infiltrated the militia organizations allegedly involved in 1/6 — assuming from the outset that there was in fact no infiltration, thereby providing the FBI director an easy way to avoid addressing the question one way or another.

Revolver News is willing to address the matter directly in the following three questions:

In the year leading up to 1/6 and during 1/6 itself, to what extent were the three primary militia groups (the Oath Keepers, the Proud Boys, and the Three Percenters) that the FBI, DOJ, Pentagon and network news have labeled most responsible for planning and executing a Capitol attack on 1/6 infiltrated by agencies of the federal government, or informants of said agencies?Exactly how many federal undercover agents or confidential informants were present at the Capitol or in the Capitol during the infamous “siege” and what roles did they play (merely passive informants or active instigators)? Finally, of all of the unindicted co-conspirators referenced in the charging documents of those indicted for crimes on 1/6, how many worked as a confidential informant or as an undercover operative for the federal government (FBI, Army Counterintelligence,

From now on, all discussion of 1/6 must give way to a laser-like focus on the questions above, with an unwavering persistence at obtaining the answers.

If the narrative about 1/6 does not conform to the questions above, the American people will never learn the most important truth about what 1/6 is, and what kind of country they’re really living in.

If it turns out the federal government did in fact have undercover agents or confidential informants embedded within the so-called militia groups indicted for conspiring to obstruct the Senate certification on 1/6, the implications would be nothing short of seismic. Especially if such agents or informants enjoyed extremely senior-level positions within such groups.

One of the key consensus points among the FBI-DOJ and the regime media is the idea that, while 1/6 is primarily the fault of Trump-supporting QAnon-infused “domestic terrorists,” it is secondarily the fault of so-called “intelligence failures.”

White House freezes Ukraine military aid package: report
The package is valued at as much as $100 million

The White House has placed a temporary hold on a military aid package for Ukraine that included an arsenal of lethal weapons, according to a report Friday.

The package is valued at as much as $100 million and could have included an assortment of weaponry, including anti-tank missiles and air defense systems, Politico reported, citing sources familiar with the matter. The proposed shipments were a response to concerns about the Russian military massing troops near the country’s shared border with Ukraine earlier this year.

Members of the National Security Council froze the planned shipment after Russian officials withdrew some troops from the area. An estimated force of more than 100,000 Russian troops was massed near the border prior to the drawdown, according to multiple reports at the time.

While the aid package is frozen, an official told Politico that the weapons could be quickly sent to Ukraine if necessary. The Pentagon previously approved two aid packages valued at $275 million this year

Saying No to Climate Taxes
Swiss voters reject the costs of meeting the Paris CO2 emissions limits.

Climate alarmists continue to have a big problem: democracy. Every time voters are presented with something close to the actual costs of achieving draconian CO2 emissions targets, they say no.

The latest reality check came Sunday in Switzerland, where 51.6% of the voters rejected a government scheme to meet the anti-carbon goals of the Paris Agreement on climate change. That’s the agreement that President Biden recently rejoined, albeit without the approval of American voters or Congress.

At least the Swiss were honest enough to tell voters that they would have to pay for their climate indulgences with the likes of a surcharge on car fuel costs and a tax on airline tickets. Perhaps most Swiss thought this cost was exorbitant, or useless, since the country contributes only 0.1% to global CO2 emissions. The Swiss could go net-zero on CO2 and it wouldn’t matter a whit to the climate.

This explains why America’s climate left assiduously avoids putting carbon taxes on the ballot. Mr. Biden won’t even endorse indexing the federal gas tax for inflation. Instead the Administration is planning to use regulatory and judicial coercion. Voters understand they will pay for the climate obsessions of elites.

Yep, still here in NY... for now.

I don't rent like the alky but from what I understand the eviction moratorium runs until end of August. Of course we have landlords with mortgages and property taxes to pay who are royally fucked, but liberals being the economic imbeciles that they consider them the "rich."

We're staring down the barrel of a spike in rental property foreclosures, and the property tax revenue the state and local govt desperately needs is not being collected.

The way the leaders of NYS have handled the "pandemic" (LOL) is fucking criminal. But nothing will be done thanks to our one party rule thanks to the union lock on the state.

Now the truly rich are fleeing along with their employers...

Even post-COVID, the exodus of wealthy New Yorkers will continue until the plague of city mismanagement also ends.

Goldman Sachs is relocating 100-plus key employees from the city to Palm Beach, Fla., to save money and grow its operations strategy beyond Wall Street. That includes partners who earn a million a year before typically far larger bonuses.

So while Wall Street execs who are pushing their people to return to the office make a lot of headlines, other CEOs are looking to move the entire office, or part of it, after the last 15 months proved how practical it is.

Notably, Bloomberg found that only 9,000 of the 19,000 New Yorkers who moved to Florida to ride out COVID say they definitely plan to return.

The wealthy have been fleeing the city all pandemic long, to lower-tax, lower-cost-of-living and lower-crime alternatives. That means big trouble ahead for those left behind, as the top 2 percent of earners supply 51 percent of New York’s income tax take.

Add in middle-class flight, and all the young upstaters leaving for lack of job opportunities, and you see why New York is one of just seven states to lose a House seat after the 2020 Census.

Without foreign immigration, the state population would be shrinking: Last year, 100 New Yorkers moved out of state for every 84 who moved in from another state.

A real Republican conservative Wall Street Journal reports.

America’s Old Believers Need to Move Past Donald TrumpHe wasn’t up to the task of preserving democracy, civic sanity, and freedom of speech and thought from

Let us speak of the Old Believers, clingers to their God and guns, to the old pronouns and the heterosexual marriages. Theirs is still, despite all, a Norman Rockwell version of things—manifest, for example, in a primitive confidence in the doctor who, once upon a time, would swat a newborn’s rump and announce, with hieratic certitude, “It’s a boy” or “It’s a girl.” The Old Believers did not think that the doctor, on a whim, “assigned” the baby’s “gender.” They held that the decision had been made months earlier, higher up the biological chain of command, and was to be respected as part of the scheme of things.

Four centuries ago in Russia, there occurred an internal clash of religious ideas (old ways vs. new ways) that had points in common with the schism dividing the U.S. in the 21st century. In Russia, too, there were progressives, who embraced reforms promulgated by Nikon, patriarch of Moscow, and anathematized the Old Believers, who held fast to the earlier religion. The latter were also known as Old Ritualists and were led by the archpriest Avvakum. Avvakum was not exactly Donald Trump, but he stood for the earlier practice and for a mystic version of old Russia and its faith. The Old Believers tended to be located far from cosmopolitan centers. They were found in Siberia, in the Urals—in, so to speak, the red states of the Russian empire.

The Russian elites—tilting westward, speaking French among themselves—held such primitives in contempt. You may recall that in “War and Peace,” Prince Bolkonski’s pious daughter, Marya, befriends Old Believers but, because of her wrathful father’s prejudices, greets them furtively, leading them into the house by the back door. These days in places like Martha’s Vineyard and Beverly Hills, you find the Old Believers similarly shunned and feared.

Years ago, when my father was an editor at the Saturday Evening Post, which printed Rockwell’s iconic covers, a squire in Bucks County, Pa., told him with cheerful condescension, “I take your magazine for the servants.”

The mood is darker now. Emerging from the Covid seclusion, I am startled by the shudder of aversion, hatred and even fear with which America’s polite progressive society (lesser Bolkonskis and Rostovs, the Tesla classes) greet the mere mention of a Republican or a conservative. It’s a reflex, a wince of horror and disapproval. If you pronounce the name Trump, they go into convulsions.

Coldheartedtruth Teller said...

There’s been a subtle rearrangement in the vocabulary of condemnation. Progressive elites are momentarily bored with denouncing all whites except themselves as “white supremacists.” There are trends in these usages. On Facebook now, they favor the word “fascist”—tossing it around especially during discussions of various Republican efforts to reform state voting laws. All conservative initiatives along these lines are fascist. The rhetoric must be unbridled—extreme, savoring almost of the medieval. During the Cultural Revolution, Mao’s Red Guards went around denouncing “black elements” and “demons and monsters.” All conservatives now are, to the elites, demons and monsters.

Progressives bemoan the dark days in which we live. They predict the imminent death of “our fragile democracy.” In their voices, you hear a throb of opulent hysteria—an ostentatious despair, the boutique self-pity of the privileged. Hating Mr. Trump and his followers dramatizes one’s own virtue. It makes elites feel good about themselves in the way, classically, that poor whites in the South were able to feel better about their own lot by despising and discriminating against black people. Progressives think that hating not only Mr. Trump but all conservatives settles their debts and cleanses them of sin. It gives them a certain moral luster.

Mr. Trump is to blame for much of this. Character is destiny, and Mr. Trump was quite a character. He gave his enemies the gift of Jan. 6. He played peek-a-boo with forbidden thoughts. He tossed cherry bombs at the Constitution to see if he could give it a scare. Whatever else one may say about Jan. 6, it was one of the stupidest afternoons in American history.

Russia’s new orthodoxy eventually burned the archpriest Avvakum at the stake. The 21st-century left would do the same to Mr. Trump if it could. It may not be necessary. He’s a burnt-out case, an exhausted volcano, in Disraeli’s phrase. Let Palm Beach have him.

The Old Believers don’t need Mr. Trump. If they are smart—and lucky—they will find someone who is capable, as Mr. Trump was not, of defending the country’s civic sanity, decency, democracy, and freedom of speech and thought. That hero has yet to emerge.

Real Republicans...well of them

Veteran House Republicans say they have a traditional message to impart.

“I think the biggest contrast right now with the Biden-Pelosi agenda is their goal to control from Washington so much of your daily life, from your paycheck to your health care decisions to everything else,” said Representative Kevin Brady, Republican of Texas. “We stand for the opposite. We want to create more freedom for individuals with lower taxes, a stronger economy and a safer nation.”
When the Republicans were conservative Republicans.

But that message has been lost amid a constantly shifting menu of crises and outrages. At the state level, Republican legislators have obscured very real efforts to curtail voting access by spotlighting cultural issues like blocking transgender athletes from high school competitions or stopping the teaching to children of “critical race theory,” a graduate school framework that explores how racism is infused in American institutions. The FBI planted agents to get dirt on "peaceful tourist ", and conceal Antifa and Black Lives Matter white people to conceal the evidence of Insurrection sins.

But a drumbeat of cries for Vice President Kamala Harris to visit a southwestern border in crisis gave way to accusations that the nation’s gasoline supply was nearing collapse, which then subsided amid demands for the firing of the government’s leading virologist, Dr. Fauci, and an investigation of the theory that the coronavirus was engineered in a laboratory in Wuhan, China, then released on the world.

Last week, the target of Republican outrage was Ms. Omar, after a tweet she posted that appeared to equate the actions of Israel and the United States with the human rights abuses of Hamas and the Taliban. Representative Kevin McCarthy of California, the minority leader, called the tweet anti-Semitic — though it did not mention Jews or Judaism — and threatened to try to remove Ms. Omar from the Foreign Affairs Committee, an action they have yet to take.

Republicans are also pressing their case that the push by some progressive Democrats to “defund the police” has led directly to a very real surge in crime facing the nation’s cities.

It can get difficult to keep up with all the catastrophizing. On Tuesday, minutes after Representative Michael McCaul, the lead Republican on the Foreign Affairs Committee, warned of Moscow’s aggressive cyber attacks and a looming Russian stranglehold over Europe’s power supply, Mr. Scalise said, “I don’t know if Vice President Harris understands the crisis is not in Europe, it’s at America’s southern border, and she and President Biden created it.”

U.S. likely won't see new lockdowns, Biden says
Yahoo News
ALEXANDER NAZARYAN
June 18, 2021, 4:18 PM

WASHINGTON — President Biden doesn't believe the U.S. will see any new lockdowns in the coming months, even as he warned about the new Delta variant of the coronavirus, which is much more transmissible than other versions of the pathogen.

That variant originated in India and took hold in the U.K. during the course of the spring. Its rapid proliferation led British Prime Minister Boris Johnson to delay full reopening by a month. That reopening was supposed to take place on June 21, only to be scuttled by the new viral strain.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has deemed Delta a “variant of concern.” Its prevalence in the U.S. is rising, leading some to worry that the country could see a return of closures and restrictions just as society appears to be reemerging from 15 months of pandemic-induced misery.

Speaking on Friday from the White House, Biden sought to offer reassurance about a scenario similar to Britain’s, vowing that there would be no new lockdowns. Lockdown measures were lifted in much of the country in May and June 2020, only to return as the virus spread across Southeastern states like Florida, Texas and Georgia.

“Where people have gotten the two shots, the Delta variant is highly unlikely to result in anything,” the president said in a response to a reporter’s question, which followed his remarks on the nation’s vaccination effort. Three hundred million doses of the coronavirus vaccine have been administered, and 44.7 percent of the American population is fully vaccinated, according to the CDC.

But what worries Biden and public health officials are geographic disparities, as well as demographic ones. For example, 63.5 percent of Vermont’s entire population is vaccinated, but only 33.5 percent of Louisianans have had their coronavirus inoculations. Fourteen states had vaccinated fewer than 40 percent of their residents as of Friday morning. (Children under 12 are not yet authorized for vaccination in the U.S.)

“The Delta variant can cause more people to die where people have not been vaccinated,” Biden said. That variant is said to be 60 percent more transmissible than the original coronavirus strain. And partial vaccination does not seem to protect against the Delta variant as thoroughly as it does against other strains.

“If you have one shot, get the second shot — as soon as you can,” Biden pleaded.

Although some coronavirus restrictions remain in place across the country, those are falling away quickly. The states now at the highest risk from the Delta variant because of their low vaccination rates are, for the most part, the ones that were the quickest to cast off such restrictions. At the same time, it is impossible to predict just how state and municipal governments will respond to the Delta strain, especially since it is they, not the federal government, that decide when to close down public spaces and businesses.

Biden has set a goal of having 70 percent of American adults vaccinated by the Fourth of July weekend. The symbolic goal appears to be within his grasp, though the pace of vaccination has slowed markedly in recent weeks. And even as he cautioned about the new variant, the president vowed that “a summer of freedom” lay ahead.

GET VACCINATED, YOU SHIRKERS!

HAPPY JUNETEENTH

Commemorating Juneteenth: Learn from the past to improve the present and future
Donna Brazille
I was encouraged to see that Republicans joined Democrats in Congress this week to overwhelmingly approve making Juneteenth a federal holiday to mark the end of slavery, and that President Biden signed the bill into law Thursday.

At a time when the political parties fight about almost everything, it was good to see they could agree to the long-overdue acknowledgement of what former President Barack Obama called “this nation’s original sin.” The Senate unanimously passed the bill creating the new holiday, to be observed every June 19. The House approved it Wednesday by a vote of 415-14, with all the opposition coming from Republicans.

But while making June 19 a holiday is an important step, it’s only the beginning of what must be done to shine a spotlight on the immoral institution of slavery and the systemic racism that continues to plague America, although conditions for Black Americans have certainly improved since 1865. And the media should use Juneteenth in future years to air programming about slavery and racism and the horrors they have inflicted.

We don’t need another holiday that revolves around department store sales, barbecues and a day at the beach. We need to use the new Juneteenth holiday as a day of education and rededication to the long struggle for equality and justice for all.

Many schools are off for summer by June 19, but those still in session should devote the holiday to day-long sessions studying slavery and racial discrimination throughout American history. Schools beginning summer vacation before June 19 should mark the holiday in the same way a few weeks early.

We can all agree that young people should learn about what’s best about America — and as someone who loves this country, I firmly believe there is much to praise. But all Americans need to also know about our nation’s failings, including enslavement and post-Emancipation racism.

For those not familiar with our newest holiday, Juneteenth commemorates June 19, 1865, when Army Maj. Gen. Gordon Granger issued an order announcing to the people of Texas that all enslaved people were free.

The Emancipation Proclamation had been signed by President Abraham Lincoln more than two years earlier. The Civil War had ended two months before. Most enslaved people in other parts of the country already had been freed, but June 19 marked the culmination of emancipation in the former Confederate states.

Honest, decent, truthful Rev. said...

Slavery will always be an ugly stain on American history, but sticking our heads in the sand and ignoring it won’t erase it. Nor will efforts by Texas and some other states to have schools downplay the major role racism has played in America since the arrival of European colonists.

My own ancestors were among the Africans brought to the U.S. in chains and enslaved, and then discriminated against under Jim Crow laws in the South long after. But all Americans need to learn the truth about slavery and racism, not just Black people. We shouldn’t simply whitewash the failings of our nation and pretend they never existed. If we do, we won’t learn from mistakes of the past and may repeat them.

The Juneteenth holiday should inspire all Americans opposed to racism to work right now for the passage of important legislation. This includes the For the People Act, the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act (both of which would combat Republican voter suppression efforts that particularly hurt Black Americans), the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act and other legislation designed to make equal rights a reality and not just a slogan.

Germany presents us with a model of dealing with a terrible evil in a nation’s past. As Michele L. Norris recently wrote in The Washington Post, the way Germany has shined a spotlight on the evil of the Holocaust and the rise of the Nazis could be a model for America doing the same on the issue of slavery and racism.

Rather than trying to ignore the horrific genocide of the Holocaust that resulted in the murder of 6 million Jews, Germany has adopted the motto “never forget” and dedicated itself to teaching successive generations about the evil of that awful period so that history never repeats itself.

In the same way, Juneteenth should be a reminder to Americans about the dehumanization and enslavement of an entire people simply because of the color of their skin.

The goal of our newest national holiday should not be to make Americans hate our country for past sins, or to feel some sort of guilt, but to show us a way to express our love for our country by working to make it true to the noble ideals of the Declaration of Independence that “all men (and let’s add women) are created equal.”

But we must keep in mind that those beautiful words were written by Thomas Jefferson, a slaveholder. Jefferson did many great things, but holding other human beings in bondage was not one of them. Never forget.

Jim Crow 2021.

LaGRANGE, Ga. — Lonnie Hollis has been a member of the Troup County election board in West Georgia since 2013. A Democrat and one of two Black women on the board, she has advocated Sunday voting, helped voters on Election Days and pushed for a new precinct location at a Black church in a nearby town.

But this year, Ms. Hollis will be removed from the board, the result of a local election law signed by Gov. Brian Kemp, a Republican. Previously, election board members were selected by both political parties, county commissioners and the three biggest municipalities in Troup County. Now, the G.O.P.-controlled county commission has the sole authority to restructure the board and appoint all the new members.

“I speak out and I know the laws,” Ms. Hollis said in an interview. “The bottom line is they don’t like people that have some type of intelligence and know what they’re doing, because they know they can’t influence them.”

Ms. Hollis is not alone. Across Georgia, members of at least 10 county election boards have been removed, had their position eliminated or are likely to be kicked off through local ordinances or new laws passed by the state legislature. At least five are people of color and most are Democrats — though some are Republicans — and they will most likely all be replaced by Republicans.

Ms. Hollis and local officials like her have been some of the earliest casualties as Republican-led legislatures mount an expansive takeover of election administration in a raft of new voting bills this year.

G.O.P. lawmakers have also stripped secretaries of state of their power, asserted more control over state election boards, made it easier to overturn election results, and pursued several partisan audits and inspections of 2020 results.

Republican state lawmakers have introduced at least 216 bills in 41 states to give legislatures more power over elections officials, according to the States United Democracy Center, a new bipartisan organization that aims to protect democratic norms. Of those, 24 have been enacted into law across 14 states.

G.O.P. lawmakers in Georgia say the new measures are meant to improve the performance of local boards, and reduce the influence of the political parties. But the laws allow Republicans to remove local officials they don’t like, and because several of them have been Black Democrats, voting rights groups fear that these are further attempts to disenfranchise voters of color.

House Republicans Demand Answers After Biden Admin Lifts Iran Sanctions Without Consulting Congress

Last week, the Biden administration gave Iran what it wanted. Without consulting Congress, the administration lifted sanctions on multiple former Iranian officials and businesses, thereby relaxing U.S. pressure on the world’s largest state sponsor of terrorism.

Republicans on the House Foreign Affairs Committee weren’t amused. On the contrary, they continue to assert that the administration chose not to consult Congress about the lifted sanctions in order to intentionally bypass legislative oversight. These Republicans are now demanding an explanation.

The State Department announced the sanctions were lifted “as a result of a verified change in status or behavior on the part of the sanctioned parties” and that “[t]hese actions demonstrate [America’s] commitment to lifting sanctions in the event of a change in status or behavior by sanctioned persons.” The Treasury Department echoed this announcement.
