Can Democrats actually ever govern?

Biden Presidency blames "disinformation" for their lack of accomplishing vaccination goals

It's no secret that vaccination rates are not what the Administration would like them to be. It's also no secret that there are racial, regional, and other differences.  Of course, the left will scapegoat this as a political issue, when in fact it almost never is.

In my region (Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, South Dakotas) we have a range of doses between 106 and 94 doses per person. The lowest rate would be South Dakota (94 doses) who also happens to have the lowest rate of infection in the entire country.  Minnesota has the highest rate of vaccination, but the second highest rate of infection out of these states.

My other home state (Washington) has one of the highest vaccination rates in the country (10th) but they happen to also have the 15th highest infection rate right now? Figure that one out.

Interestingly,  Florida (the perpetual boogeyman to the left) falls right around the middle with 101 doses per person (25th in the nation). Yet, to hear the media talk, nobody in Florida is vaccinated and everyone is sick because of it. To have it told, Governor DeSantis is personally responsible for preventing people from getting the vaccine, or something like that.

Drilling into Florida, it would be no surprise that blacks and hispanics that are pulling down the vaccination rates and largely responsible for the rise in cases. Miami Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach lead the way (as they have throughout the pandemic) in new cases. Do Democrats hold any of those local leaders for the discrepancy between their numbers and the numbers elsewhere in that state? Of course, not... because Democrats are not there to govern, only to push rhetoric and point fingers.

The fact is that President Trump was expected to take the blame for Covid when he was President. The Governors in the states that struggled (like Cuomo) were not blamed, but rather celebrated for their finger pointing and attacks on the President.  Now that Biden is in charge, that responsibility according to the media falls to Governors (or at least the Republican ones).

What this proves is that nobody (not even Democrats) actually expect their own leaders to fix problems. They only expect that they will be able to come up with a reason to point fingers and blame the other side when things go wrong. Remember how long the Obama Administration continued to blame Bush and the Republicans for anything and everything that was going wrong. It is quite literally the only thing (other than spending money) that Democrats seem to know how to do.

The Department of Public Health says 0.1 percent of people in Massachusetts who have been vaccinated against the coronavirus have contracted COVID-19, a finding that highlights how important it is for people to get their shots.

As of Saturday, the DPH said, there were 4,450 “breakthrough” cases of COVID among 4,195,844 vaccinated people.

“Breakthrough case numbers are incredibly low and cases in which the person was hospitalized or died are even lower,” the department said in a statement.

The cases included 303 people who were hospitalized and 79 who died, either in or out of the hospital, according to DPH data. That’s 0.0072 and 0.0019 percent, respectively, of the total vaccinated.

“All available data continue to support that all 3 vaccines used in the US are highly protective against severe disease and death from all known variants of COVID-19. The best way to protect yourself and your loved ones is to get vaccinated,” the DPH said.

The statement noted that, given the state’s high vaccination rates, “we expect to have some vaccine breakthrough cases.” The state is a national leader in vaccinations. As of Monday, 4,273,587 people had been fully vaccinated.

“People who are unvaccinated should continue to wear masks, especially indoors. And individuals who are feeling ill should get tested for COVID-19,” the DPH said.

To get a scientific measure of how effective the vaccine is, experts said, the data on how vaccinated people fared would need to be compared with data on how unvaccinated people fared in terms of getting sick and dying.

“That being said, one thing is obvious. The rates of symptomatic disease, hospitalization and death have all plummeted here as the vaccination rate has increased.

COVID-19 cases among unvaccinated surge, making up 94% of all cases in Louisiana since May

July 13, 2021

The Louisiana Department of Health warns that COVID-19 cases among people who are not yet fully vaccinated are surging, and all people in Louisiana, especially those who are not yet vaccinated, are at an elevated risk of exposure to COVID-19 as the more contagious Delta variant continues to spread.

Louisiana is currently experiencing widespread increases in the spread of COVID-19. Since early May, 19,200 new COVID-19 cases have been reported among Louisiana residents, with 94% of these cases occurring among individuals who were not fully vaccinated. On July 13, LDH announced 9 additional COVID-19 deaths; all individuals were unvaccinated.

LDH reaffirms the following guidance for individuals in Louisiana:

If you are not yet fully vaccinated you should mask and distance in public settings and particularly indoors, for your safety and for the safety of those around you.If you are fully vaccinated you have very good, but not absolute protection. Your risk, while relatively small, will increase as the amount of COVID-19 circulating in your community increases. Masking and distancing particularly when indoors will increase your safety should you desire extra protection. If you are at increased risk for complications of COVID-19 by virtue of advanced age or underlying medical condition or have a member of your household family unit who is, LDH strongly recommends you consider masking and distancing when indoors and/or in close proximity to others for added protection.

“The data are very clear,” said Dr. Joseph Kanter, Louisiana’s State Health Officer. “COVID-19 cases among unvaccinated people in Louisiana are surging. COVID-19 hospitalizations, percent positivity and COVID-19 outbreaks are all on the rise. All people in Louisiana, especially those who are not yet vaccinated, should know they are now at increased risk of exposure to COVID-19 due to the more transmissible Delta variant, and they should consider their personal risk and their family’s risk.”

______________

The people like Thecoldheartedtruth are responsible for the deaths of tens of thousands American people who believe the lies about vaccines and masking.

Surgeon General ‘Worried About What Is to Come’

July 18, 2021 at 11:17 am EDT By Taegan Goddard
Surgeon General Vivek Murthy
said he is “worried about what is to come” in the COVID-19 pandemic as cases increase throughout the U.S., primarily among those who are not vaccinated, The Hill reports.

Said Murthy:
“I am worried about what is to come because we are seeing increasing cases among the unvaccinated in particular. And while if you are vaccinated you are very well protected against hospitalization and death, unfortunately that is not true if you are not vaccinated.”

WHY AREN'T REPUBLICAN LEADERS EMPHASIZING THIS?

YOU MAKE A POLITICAL FOOTBALL EVEN OF SO IMPORTANT A POINT AS THIS, THE SOLUTION TO WHICH IS SIMPLE:

Maybe the one mistake the Democrats made is this: They should have named all the vaccines, Trump vaccines.

Federal office charged a homeopathic doctor with selling fake COVID-19 inoculation, falsified vaccination cards

A homeopathic doctor was arrested yesterday for allegedly selling homeoprophylaxis COVID-19 immunization pellets and falsifying CDC COVID-19 vaccination cards, according to the Department of Justice (DOJ).

The arrest represents the first federal prosecution related to these immunizations and fraudulent vaccination cards, the department said.

“This defendant allegedly defrauded and endangered the public by preying on fears and spreading misinformation about FDA-authorized vaccinations, while also peddling fake treatments that put people’s lives at risk,” Deputy Attorney General Lisa O. Monaco said in a statement. “Even worse, the defendant allegedly created counterfeit COVID-19 vaccination cards and instructed her customers to falsely mark that they had received a vaccine, allowing them to circumvent efforts to contain the spread of the disease.”

Juli A. Mazi, 41, is a homeopathic doctor licensed in the state of California. She is charged with one count of wire fraud and one count of false statements related to healthcare matters, according to the DOJ.

In April, a family member of Mazi’s customers reported through a Department of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General (HHS-OIG) hotline that she had given the customers homeoprophylaxis immunization pellets and told them that the pellets contained a “very minute amount of this [COVID-19] disease,” the DOJ said.

Mazi allegedly told her customers that the pellets would trigger an antibody response, with the complainant noting that their family members did not receive any injections of the authorized COVID-19 vaccines.

Further, Mazi included a COVID-19 vaccination card with the pellets that indicated receipt of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine, the DOJ said. She allegedly provided customers with specific Moderna vaccine lot numbers and instructed them on how to mark the cards to indicate they had received the authorized vaccine.

Well alky, that's only because he had nothing to do with the recovery. He took care of his union buddies and that was about it. He blew $787 BILLION, and we had so little to show for it, even 0linsky laughingly admitted there were no shovel ready jobs.

Cash for clunkers took tens of thousands of perfectly good and very affordable used cars off the roads. The poor depend upon cheap rides to get around. Skeets fucked them hard.

You cannot point to a single policy that 0linsky implemented that was a direct benefit to the recovery.

(CNN)Los Angeles County is seeing a surge in new Covid-19 coronavirus cases, topping 1,000 for the fifth straight day Wednesday, and though hospitalizations remain low, each infected patient admitted to a county hospital has not had all their vaccine shots, officials said.

"To date, we have not had a patient admitted to a [Department of Health Services] hospital who has been fully vaccinated, with either the J&J, Pfizer or Moderna vaccine. Every single patient that we've admitted for Covid is not yet fully vaccinated," county health services director Dr. Christina Ghaly told the Board of Supervisors on Tuesday.

The Department of Health Services runs four hospitals, including those affiliated with the University of California-Los Angeles and the University of Southern California, along with 19 health care centers throughout the region.

Vaccine Inequity Abounds

Associated Press:
“No one disputes that the world is unfair. But no one expected a vaccine gap between the global rich and poor that was this bad, this far into the pandemic.

“Inequity is everywhere: Inoculations go begging in the United States while Haiti, a short plane ride away, received its first delivery July 15 after months of promises — 500,000 doses for a population over 11 million. Canada has procured more than 10 doses for every resident; Sierra Leone’s vaccination rate just cracked 1% on June 20.”

GOP Governor’s Vaccine Tour Reveals Deep Distrust

Associated Press:
“Free lottery tickets for those who get vaccinated had few takers. Free hunting and fishing licenses didn’t change many minds either.

"And this being red-state Arkansas, mandatory vaccinations are off the table.

“So Republican Gov. Asa Hutchinson has hit the road, meeting face-to-face with residents to try to overcome vaccine hesitancy — in many cases, hostility — in Arkansas, which has the highest rate of new COVID-19 cases in the U.S. but is near the very bottom in dispensing shots.”

Pfizer announced positive trial results for their coronavirus vaccine today. That’s great news, but it’s undermined when Dems & others have pushed a conspiracy that, because Orange Man Bad, the vaccine won’t work.

Don’t remember? Well follow me down memory lane(thread has images)

Perhaps the most well-known anti-vaccine voice on this was @KamalaHarris, who kicked up a firestorm when she suggested she wouldn’t trust or take a vaccine coming out of the Trump Administration.
---------
But she wasn’t alone.

Where bad and dangerous coronavirus ideas go, @NYGovCuomo is never far behind. By now you’ve surely heard of his comments that it’s “bad news” that we got a vaccine during the Trump Admin. Just a vile comment.
---------
But what you may not remember is that @NYGovCuomo has been saying since September that he doesn’t trust the president or the FDA (!!) about a vaccine.

(No pushback from @MSNBC on this one, by the way)
--------
You may be familiar with one @JoeBiden, who shared a similar perspective as his running mate.

Just look at that @nytimes headline (which is sure to go down the memoryhole eventually) and tell me that perspective is fine and dandy.
----------
We had a similar lack of confidence on Capitol Hill. Here’s @TinaSmithMN, suggesting that political pressure would undermine a safe and effective vaccine.

To be clear, this can only rightly be called a conspiracy theory.
------
We had some former electeds, too. Surely you remember @KatieHill4CA

She suggested - again, as with all of these, absent evidence - that a vaccine approved by the Trump Admin couldn’t be trusted.

it goes on and on and on and on...

White House wanted Hannity to stop telling Trump 'crazy stuff' that was crippling his campaign: Michael Wolff

Tom Boggioni

July 18, 2021

Donald Trump and Sean Hannity (Fox News/screen grab)

Appearing on MSNBC with "The Sunday Show" host Jonathan Capehart, author Michael Wolff was asked about a revelation in his book "Landslide," that Donald Trump believed that Michelle Obama would be on the Democratic ticket in the 2020 presidential election.

According to an excerpt from the book, read on-air by Capehart, "The agitated president said, lowering his voice, 'This is all being coordinated by the Obamas,' and, Trump added more darkly, 'There is a very good chance that Michelle will go on the [Andrew] Cuomo ticket as VP. This is where Karl Rove says to [Brad] Parscale, 'My God, where did he get this from?' 'Sean Hannity.' 'Sean Hannity?' Rove repeated. And Parscale says, 'POTUS believes it. If you could call Hannity and tell him to let up, that might be good.'"

"Seriously?" an incredulous Capehart asked.

"I mean, on one level you've got to say it's hilarious," Wolff replied. "And Karl Rove was -- you know, one of the funny aspects of this is that they called Karl Rove because they were -- you know, they had to convince Trump to attack Biden, which he refused to do because he thought he would weaken them, and then the ticket would have Cuomo and Michelle Obama."

"They got Rove up into Washington into the Oval Office to try to, to try to convince the president that this was crazy stuff, and this was a super-secret meeting," he recalled. "And then Rove walked in and there were 15 people in the Oval Office because there are always -- the Oval Office under Trump was always filled with this kind of, well, there are people in the Trump administration who always called the Oval Office the Star Wars bar scene."

British Ministers Decide Against Mass Vaccination for Teens - the Telegraph

(Reuters) -Britain has opted against mass COVID-19 vaccinations for all children and teenagers, with ministers instead preparing to offer doses to vulnerable 12 to 15-year-olds and those about to turn 18, the Telegraph newspaper reported late on Saturday.

The Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) is believed to have advised ministers against the rollout of vaccines to all children until further evidence on the risks is available, the report added https://bit.ly/3etYxPG.

Britain on Saturday reported 54,674 new COVID-19 cases, a rise on the 51,870 new cases reported on the previous day to post a fresh highest daily total in six months.

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson is removing most pandemic restrictions in England from July 19, saying a rapid rollout of COVID-19 vaccines has largely broken the link between infections and serious illness or death.

Britain's COVID-19 death toll is among the highest in the world but two-thirds of its adult population have been fully vaccinated.

Donald Trump increased the deficit astronomicaly.

The only Republican President to leave office with a stronger economy was George HW Bush.

TOWARD MINITRUE the other Scott Johnson

This week the psickening Jen Psaki casually announced that the Biden administration was guiding Facebook in the censorship of “misinformation” bearing on Covid vaccinations. She followed up with the guidance that those circulating “misinformation” on one platform should be removed from all social media platforms.

Psaki justified the administration’s promotion of censorship by reference to the life and death issues involved. According to Psaki and her animatronic boss, Facebook is killing people with “misinformation.” That is a rationale that can be applied to speech on any significant political subject. It is astounding that the assembled professionals of the White House press corps have failed to seek out any limiting principle from Psaki or her animatronic boss.

Even applied to the issue of the novel Coronavirus, the rationale of “misinformation” should be rejected. How many tenets promoted by the fallacious Dr. Fauci and the public health authorities have been renounced since they were first promulgated? I won’t itemize them here, but even before the coming of the Biden regime Facebook et al. were purging them on their platforms, as they did in the matter of Hunter Biden’s laptop.
The other Scott Johnson Powerline.

In the modern era of the internet and again websites have the first amendment rights to say anything.

But we face a conundrum.

When the President pressured Facebook to censor false allegations, but he should not have said that.

The first amendment was the first amendment for a reason.

But the former President should stop questioning the election results and he should stop calling the free press the enemy of the people.

One more thing is the right wing nutcase websites are going crazier than Scott Johnson! The American Thinker.

We are now living in a land where the government uses corporate monopolies to restrict political speech it dislikes, abuses the criminal justice system to protect Antifa criminals doing its bidding on the streets, holds political prisoners in solitary confinement for over six months under spurious charges, spies on citizens' private text messages in the name of safety, and designates its political adversaries as "domestic extremists" and "terrorists."  At the same time as the Cuban regime has shut down the Internet to hinder a popular revolt against communism, the Biden regime has admitted to actively censoring Americans on social media and on cellular networks for spreading "disinformation."  (There's a distinction without a difference!)  And as demonstrable evidence of provable fraud in both Georgia and Arizona increasingly renders the whole 2020 presidential election illegitimate, the beneficiary of that election fraud has mobilized the federal government to vilify the truth-tellers as enemies of the state.  If American companies and politicians can sit silently while such unprecedented attacks on civil liberties take place, then either they grotesquely fail to see the parallels between what is going on in America today and what took place in Germany during the 1930s, or they are blind to nothing and like what they see.  Certainly, when they decide to take a righteous stand against voter identification and against secure elections but choose to demonize white Americans for the color of their skin, they are a far cry from any noble tradition we would ascribe to defenders of American freedom.

My mother Marjorie told me that you judge a person upon their character not the color of their skin.

About the time of the Selma demonstrators being beaten by police officers!

The World Needs a Reality Check

“Around the world, scientists and public health officials fear that the world’s protracted battle against the coronavirus is at a delicate and dangerous moment.

“*Reality checks abound.

*Coronavirus infections are surging in places with low vaccination rates.

*SARS-CoV-2 is continuing to mutate.

*Researchers have confirmed the delta variant is far more transmissible than earlier strains.

*Although the vaccines remain remarkably effective,
the virus has bountiful opportunities to find new ways to evade immunity.

PORTLAND, OR—During a conversation at work Monday, local woman Reighnye Leighton argued that the government should just mandate that everyone get vaccinated. She made this argument as she wore her favorite, well-worn "My Body, My Choice" T-shirt.

"Vaccines should be mandatory," said the woman who goes out and protests every weekend that she should be able to get an abortion at any time because it's "her body, her choice."

Leighton argued that though people do have a right to privacy and to make their own healthcare decisions, ultimately, the government can overrule that if it's in the interest of saving innocent lives. "If it saves one life, it's worth it," she added, though she believes every woman in the nation has the right to end a life inside of her if it becomes inconvenient.

President Abraham Lincoln led the United States through its bloodiest, most divisive and most decisive period of our history. He fought not because he wanted to, but because he knew the dual goals of preserving the Union and the end of slavery would be achieved only through armed conflict. Lincoln always kept the enormous human cost of the struggle in the front of his mind. At Gettysburg, he implored us not to forget those that had given “their last full measure of devotion” to preserving the American experiment. As it became clear that the Union would be victorious, Lincoln’s thoughts turned to how the nation would “bind up its wounds” and move forward together.

Today, we find ourselves divided again – tribalism in the country and hyper-partisanship in government has led to ever uglier examples of how our political system is failing. Former President Donald Trump and those who ascribe to Trumpism are a clear and present danger to the Constitution and our Republic.

When he is finished the devil informs him that the cost is a million dollars, so Putin writes him a check.

Next Queen Elizabeth calls England and talks for 30 minutes.

When she is finished the devil informs her that the cost is 6 million dollars, so she writes him a check.

Finally Donald Trump gets his turn and talks for 4 hours.

When he is finished the devil informs him that the cost is $5.00.

When Putin hears this he goes ballistic and asks the devil why Trump got to call the USA so cheaply.

The devil smiles and replies, "Since Biden took over, the country has gone to hell, so it's a local call."

Jimmy Hitler Jr. Said GM cars are selling for shit with the exception of the Corvette.

General Motors on Thursday posted a 40 percent jump in second-quarter US sales on strong demand for its sport utility vehicles, and said the trend will continue into 2022.

Low interest rates, government stimulus and a preference for private vehicles due to the COVID-19 pandemic have bolstered auto demand in the United States, even as prices have risen due to tight inventories following a global semiconductor shortage.

Consumers are purchasing more expensive vehicles despite smaller discounts, boosting profitability for automakers and retailers, according to industry consultants JD Power and LMC Automotive.

GM said its Chevrolet Bolt EV posted record second-quarter deliveries with total Chevrolet deliveries up 31 percent, while sales of its Buick’s premium SUVs soared 86 percent.

12 people are responsible for the majority of COVID-19 disinformation shared online, according to a new study.

The CCDH found that 65% of anti-vaccine posts on Facebook and Twitter could be attributed to the "disinformation dozen."

The disinformation dozen includes a bodybuilder, a wellness blogger, and JFK's nephew.

See more stories on Insider's business page.

The majority of COVID-19 disinformation shared online comes from just 12 people, according to a new report by the Center for Countering Digital Hate (CCDH).

The CCDH analyzed 812,000 anti-vaccine posts shared on Facebook and Twitter between February 1 and March 16, 2021. It found that 65 percent of this content could be attributed to what is being dubbed the "disinformation dozen."

On Facebook alone, the CCDH found that those 12 people were responsible for 73 percent of the anti-vaccine content on the platform.

Read more: Anti-maskers are using fake medical cards to avoid scrutiny for not wearing coverings in public

The disinformation dozen is made up of a bodybuilder, a wellness blogger, and a religious zealot, The Guardian reported.

Also, most notably, it includes the nephew of former President John F Kennedy. Robert F Kennedy Jr is a prominent anti-vaxxer who has proliferated disinformation connecting vaccines to autism and the COVID-19 shots to 5G phone technology.

His account was part removed by Instagram, the CCDH said, but he remains active on Facebook and Twitter.

Fewer than half of the members of the disinformation dozen - Kennedy, Sherri Tenpenny, Rizza Islam, Sayer Ji, and Kelly Brogan - have had one of their social media accounts removed or partially removed, the study said.

The CCDH is now calling on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube to de-platform every member of the disinformation dozen with haste.

"The most effective and efficient way to stop the dissemination of harmful information is to de-platform the most highly visible repeat offenders, who we term the disinformation dozen," the study said. "This should also include the organizations these individuals control or fund, as well as any backup accounts they have established to evade removal."

It changed the entire economy.

So, no. The Mach-E is not a "Tesla killer." It does not blow its fiercest competitor out of the water, nor does it replace the Mustang. It doesn't need to. The Mach-E is a mission statement. It shows Ford is serious, committed, and capable when it comes to making attractive, desirable EVs. It just so happens that Ford's first major effort in that realm is the best mainstream EV a legacy automaker has ever made.

It will be the first highly successful EV automaker in history.

SUVs have been popular for years. Electric power vehicles have bombed. As I said electing vehicles are far more expensive to operate.

And the most expensive item is powering the car with electricity. Gasoline is far less expensive and is a more versatile fuel than electricity whose major drawback is charging the vehicle.

This is restriction prevents it's feasible use in overland trucking and reduces the range of private vehicles.(no more road trip vacations).

In Undervaccinated Arkansas, Covid Upends Life All Over Again

While much of the nation tiptoes toward normalcy, the coronavirus is again swamping hospitals in places like Mountain Home, in a rural county where fewer than one-third of residents are vaccinated.

Published July 17, 2021Updated July 18, 2021, 1:14 p.m. ET

MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. — When the boat factory in this leafy Ozark Mountains city offered free coronavirus vaccinations this spring, Susan Johnson, 62, a receptionist there, declined the offer, figuring she was protected as long as she never left her house without a mask.

Linda Marion, 68, a widow with chronic pulmonary disease, worried that a vaccination might actually trigger Covid-19 and kill her. Barbara Billigmeier, 74, an avid golfer who retired here from California, believed she did not need it because “I never get sick.”

Last week, all three were patients on 2 West, an overflow ward that is now largely devoted to treating Covid-19 at Baxter Regional Medical Center, the largest hospital in north-central Arkansas. Mrs. Billigmeier said the scariest part was that “you can’t breathe.” For 10 days, Ms. Johnson had relied on supplemental oxygen being fed to her lungs through nasal tubes.

Ms. Marion said that at one point, she felt so sick and frightened that she wanted to give up. “It was just terrible,” she said. “I felt like I couldn’t take it.”

Yet despite their ordeals, none of them changed their minds about getting vaccinated. “It’s just too new,” Mrs. Billigmeier said. “It is like an experiment.”

While much of the nation tiptoes toward normalcy, the coronavirus is again swamping hospitals in places like Mountain Home, a city of fewer than 13,000 people not far from the Missouri border. A principal reason, health officials say, is the emergence of the new, far more contagious variant called Delta, which now accounts for more than half of new infections in the United States.

The variant has highlighted a new divide in America, between communities with high vaccination rates, where it causes hardly a ripple, and those like Mountain Home that are undervaccinated, where it threatens to upend life all over again. Part of the country is breathing a sigh of relief; part is holding its breath.

Biden is 100% correct
