There’s unlikable. Then there’s Kamala-level unlikable.
Hillary was unlikable, but as least she won a Democrat Party nomination. That’s more than Kamala Harris can say. She was so unlikable that she was forced to drop out of the Democrat primaries before the first vote was cast. Even Democrats didn’t like her.
Yet here she is. The sitting Vice President of these United States of America, with a substantial chance of becoming President as Joey from Scranton’s already dimming mental acuity continues to fade. But let’s say Joey hangs on to 2024, but decides not to run for reelection, or is incapable of running, Kamala will be the presumptive and unstoppable nominee.
Yet many Democrats, including some current senior administration officials, are concerned she could not defeat whomever the Republican Party puts up — even if it were Donald Trump.
What other Democrats are even being mentioned right now? Yeah, we are probably two years away from even the initial posturing for the next nomination. We have no idea if Joe Biden will be able to run again (he will be in his 80s and doesn't appear all there at 78). But what would happen if either Biden was not looking strong or if he decided to make himself a one termer? Also keeping in mind that if Biden is not running, then all is probably not well with the state of the union.
But would there be any real energy out there for a 37th Bernie Sanders run? Would some old school Senator in the mold of Liz Warren or Amy Klobuchar step up. Would we see some additional up and comers like Pete Buttigeig or Beto O'Rourke? Would they consider someone a little fringe like Andrew Yang?
Are any of the 2020 candidate still viable enough to be considered for the 2024 race if they were called upon? Would any of them (other than Bernie who may run forever) step up and commit to run.
I am not sure that Harris would be "unstoppable" but I could see some people seeing her as somewhat "presumptive". She would certain fit the mold that the old white man Biden does not. But she certainly could also become another Hillary and may simply not be likable enough to become President.

With Harris’s history of “mistreatment of employees and dissent” before entering the White House, the establishment media have begun reporting on the infighting and “sabotage” impacting the office of the vice president.
“It’s a whisper campaign designed to sabotage her,” Biden’s senior adviser Cedric Richmond said, admitting Friday to the Hill the infighting is real.
Axios reported Friday Harris’s aides are panicked that she is “fucking up” and perhaps “shouldn’t be the heir apparent” for 2024’s presidential race because she “could not defeat whomever the Republican Party puts up.”
On Wednesday, a White House staffer told Politico Harris’s aides “are thrown under the bus from the very top, there are short fuses and it’s an abusive environment.”
