Last summer, federal officials in Delaware investigating Hunter Biden faced a dilemma. The probe had reached a point where prosecutors could have sought search warrants and issued a flurry of grand jury subpoenas. Some officials involved in the case wanted to do just that. Others urged caution. They advised Delaware’s U.S. Attorney, David Weiss, to avoid taking any actions that could alert the public to the existence of the case in the middle of a presidential election.
“To his credit, he listened,” said a person involved in the discussions, reported here for the first time. Weiss decided to wait, averting the possibility that the investigation would become a months-long campaign issue. Since taking office, President Joe Biden has left Weiss — a Republican appointed by Donald Trump on the recommendation of Delaware’s two Democratic senators — in place. That puts him in one of the most sensitive positions in the Justice Department, deciding how to proceed with an investigation of the president’s son that has proven politically fraught on several fronts.Under normal circumstances I might not be that critical of keeping an investigation of a Presidential Candidate's family member out of the spotlight. But in this case it was the Democrats, the Media, and even Biden himself who made this an issue. in the first place
We have to go back to what should have been a routine private conversations between the President of the United States and the newly election leader of Ukraine. One of the things brought up was the known allegations that the former Obama administration (and Joe Biden himself) had threatened to withhold aid unless they fired a high level prosecutor (who was overseeing an investigation of Hunter Biden).
This, as we now remember, was quite literally turned into an excuse to impeach Trump. In ultimately play of projection, Democrats accused the President of doing what we now know that the Obama administration did do. They impeached him for threatening to withhold aide unless the Ukrainian president agreed to his demands. The difference of course, was that there was never any threat from Trump, there was no aide withheld, and ultimately we know the denials from the Bidens and the Democrats regarding Hunter were dishonest.
The impeachment ultimately was seen as punishment for Trump pushing some conspiracy that Hunter Biden was committing crimes in order to undermine the infant presidential campaign of Joe Biden. Make no mistake, the idea that Hunter Biden was innocent and being framed by the Trump administration was the main media driver of the legitimacy of the impeachment.
Had it been known that Biden was actually under investigation when the prosecutor was fired, that the investigation stalled afterward, and that Hunter Biden was indeed selling influence while being paid $600K a year to sit on a foreign board, then I doubt that the impeachment of Trump would have been supported by much of anyone.
So this particular investigation and story would have seriously undermined the impeachment of the President and would have exposed the Biden denials that the media was happy to take at complete face value. By withholding the story, they were not keeping anything out of the news, but rather they were allowing the "fake news cycle" to remain in place during the campaign.
The prosecutors had a choice between allowing the lie or telling the truth. We know which way they decided and we have a pretty good idea as to why.

James Comey, the seventh Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), was fired by U.S. President Donald Trump on May 9, 2017. Comey had been criticized in 2016 for his handling of the FBI's investigation of the Hillary Clinton email controversy and in 2017 for the FBI's investigation of Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. elections as it related to alleged collusion with Trump's presidential campaign.
The Democrats and the establishment were conspiring against Trump from day one.

In historical context, it is the same way authoritarian governments have taken over Democracies. Claiming that they aren't credible anymore has lead the same path to an authoritarian government.
Part of the current Republican strategy plan to reduce turnout is another example!
If the Democrats don't turnout in historically outstanding numbers, the Republicans could become a minority government forever

A Colorado judge ticked off two pro-Trump lawyers for a failed case alleging election fraud.
The case was dismissed earlier, but the judge called its lawyers to a hearing over frivolous suits.
He asked them if it ever occurred to them that they may just be a "propaganda tool" for Trump.
See more stories on Insider's business page.
A Colorado judge gave a scathing rebuke to a pair of lawyers after he dismissed their case challenging the results of the 2020 election, suggesting they were just parroting former President Donald Trump's talking points.
Lawyers Gary Fielder and Ernest John Walker filed a class-action suit in December last year, claiming to represent the voting rights of 160 million Americans. They accuse a slew of high-profile politicians and tech CEOs of thwarting a Trump election victory with China and Iran's help, according to court documents seen by Insider.
The pair have bankrolled their case via a crowdfunding page calling it "the largest civil rights class-action lawsuit in history."

Two-Thirds of Southern Republicans Want to Secede

Why does the White House say James Comey was fired?
Donald Trump and his allies in the US justice department cited Comey’s handling of the botched investigation into Hillary Clinton’s emails as the reason for firing the FBI director.
A statement from the White House said:
Today, President Donald J Trump informed FBI director James Comey that he has been terminated and removed from office. President Trump acted based on the clear recommendations of both deputy attorney general Rod Rosenstein and attorney general Jeff Sessions.”
In a memo to Sessions, which was released by the White House on Tuesday, Rosenstein wrote: “The way the director [Comey] handled the conclusion of the email investigation was wrong.”
He went on to say:
I cannot defend the director’s handling of the conclusion of the investigation of Secretary Clinton’s emails, and I do not understand his refusal to accept the nearly universal judgment that he was mistaken.”
Sessions said the Department of Justice was “committed to a high level of discipline, integrity and the rule of law”, and “a fresh start is needed”.

James thanks this horror story is heartbreaking. Our nation is at risk today.
As the country turns 245 years old, Americans have reasons to worry about the state of their democracy. In June 2021, we surveyed a representative sample of Americans and an expert sample of political scientists on the performance of U.S. democracy, the threats it faces, and how their political representatives should address these matters.1 We find deep partisan polarization in perceptions of what is right and wrong with American democracy and the steps that should be taken to fix it. In addition, experts express reservations about current changes to election law at the state level. Still, we find some signs that Americans regard partisan attacks on election administration with skepticism.
Our key findings are:
Constitutional hardball politics like gerrymandering, packing the Supreme Court or blocking Court nominees, voter suppression, abolishing the filibuster, adding new states to the union, or refusing to certify election results enjoy little support among the public and, with few exceptions, among experts. However, these strategies appear to go unpunished by voters when used by elites.
Experts expect these tactics to be used more frequently in the years ahead, rating extreme partisan gerrymandering a near certainty; obstruction of Supreme Court nominations highly likely; and refusal to certify popular vote totals as a likely outcome as well. By contrast, the experts place low probability on hardball tactics that are more favored by Democrats, such as adding states to the union, abolishing the filibuster, or packing the Supreme Court.
Among the electoral reform proposals recently adopted or currently under consideration in the states, experts perceive grave threats from bills that encroach on the political independence of local election officials and that restrict mail voting.
Exposure to information about the official audit in Maricopa County, Arizona more than doubled confidence in the vote count in Republicans, suggesting that information about standard processes intended to verify the results of elections can be reassuring to skeptical members of the public. Surprisingly, exposure to news about the partisan “audit” there also increased confidence among Republicans somewhat, though this effect seems unlikely to persist when the supposed results of that process are announced.
The legitimacy of the 2020 presidential election and Donald Trump’s actions afterward remain central to how Americans assess political candidates. In the past six months, Democrats and Republicans have not budged in how they reward or punish prospective candidates for voting to certify the election and for Trump’s impeachment. Independents did shift in favor of candidates who supported the certification of the 2020 vote and who supported transportation infrastructure spending.
Distressingly high proportions of respondents say they would be willing to secede from the United States to join a new union of states in their region. Support is higher among Republicans in Republican-dominated regions and among Democrats in Democrat-dominated regions, but the idea’s popularity has risen in some partisan groups and regions of the country since Biden’s inauguration.
Experts rate Donald Trump’s continued refusal to accept the results of the 2020 election as highly abnormal and important.

Following the facts
Even as Weiss took the more cautious route, his office still had to contend with complications posed by parallel investigative efforts being conducted by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Pennsylvania in Pittsburgh.
Trump’s attorney general, William Barr, had tasked the U.S. attorney there, Scott Brady, with vetting information from Trump’s personal lawyer, Rudy Giuliani. Giuliani claimed to have information implicating the Bidens in corruption, but his relationship with Trump and reports that he had met with a Russian agent as he sought dirt on the Bidens, cast doubts on his claims.
Investigators in Delaware worried that the Giuliani material in Pittsburgh could taint their own investigation. It did not help, one person familiar with the investigation said, that Brady’s office seemed intent on taking aggressive steps in pursuit of its inquiry.
“Pittsburgh was out of control,” said the person, who worried that the Western Pennsylvania probe would be seen as politically motivated and would undermine the preexisting Hunter Biden investigation.
A former official involved with the investigative efforts out of Pittsburgh contested that characterization, saying the officials involved acted “scrupulously and with high ethical standards.”

Why Are California Cities’ Public Health Officers Really Ordering Masks Worn Indoors?
We’ve been told the vaccines protect against COVID-19, and the variants, according to the World Health Organization
Thursday, Los Angeles County public health officer, Dr. Muntu Davis, announced at a video press conference a new order requiring masks be worn by LA residents when indoors, regardless of vaccination status — effective Sunday morning at 12:01AM.
If Los Angeles residents are so at-risk for infection, why wait until Sunday?
Sacramento residents are also once again being asked to mask up indoors as the county’s COVID-19 case rate increases and the Delta variant surges, CBS Sacramento reported.
Why? Most of downtown Sacramento hasn’t recovered and still is not back open.
Even the vaccinated must wear masks under these county orders, but remember Dr. Anthony Fauci admitted masks are ineffective against the virus? Remember in April when the Globe reported on a Doctor who uses vape clouds to illustrate how masks do not work?
The video is priceless.

The ink had barely dried on the Treaty of Versailles, which formally ended World War I, when recently returned black veterans grabbed their guns and stationed themselves on rooftops in black neighborhoods in Washington D.C., prepared to act as snipers in the case of mob violence in July of 1919. Others set up blockades around Howard University, a black intellectual hub, creating a protective ring around residents.
White sailors recently home from the war had been on a days-long drunken rampage, assaulting, and in some cases lynching, black people on the capitol’s streets. The relentless onslaught proved contagious, escalating in dozens of cities across the U.S. in what would become known as the The Red Summer

In an escalation of the six-decade feud between the United States and Cuba, President Biden has described the island as a “failed state” and said he was looking into the feasibility of providing internet services to the Cuban people.
The communist government has repeatedly shut off access amid mass protests. “We’re considering whether we have the technological ability to reinstate that access,” Biden said. Experts said that the possibility of providing internet to a country whose government does not want it is limited, though the technology is developing rapidly and may become part of the information wars of the 21st century.
He recognized the information wars of the 21st century is critical to remove Communist governments
So black folk in DC had to take up arms to protect themselves from democrats.

Imagine if four years ago Donald Trump Jr was caught red handed in a criminal plot that was exposed with actual computer evidence.
And then he stepped up and demanded that he was 100% certain he would beat the charge.

But when it's Hunter Biden, these same people believe Hunter. Not the evidence.
CRT is destroying South Africa!
The meltdown in South Africa isn’t a natural disaster or a random fluke. It’s a choice. South Africa was the first modern nation to be refounded on the anti-white principles of critical race theory, and now it is reaping the whirlwind of that choice.
South Africa did everything that is being done in America right now. As a hyperdiverse multiethnic, multilingual society, South Africa has followed almost every prescription embraced by the globalist ruling class.
This is about more than riots. This wave of violence will eventually peter out. But there is no reason to be optimistic when that happens. There will be no sense of having survived a calamity, and having a chance to rebuild. When this wave of burning and looting and killing are over, there is nothing to look forward to but the next wave.

He is a very educated and experienced prosecutor..
You really shouldn't comment on things that are over your intelligence level, Roger.
The investigation started prior the Presidential election campaign and is still being investigated today. Nobody forced him to "quit" prosecuting anyone. Not sure where you even got that.
What this prosecutor decided to do (and there is no argument on fact here) is not make his criminal probe public. More to the point, he specifically decided not to move forward with the logical next steps because he didn't (by his own words) turn his investigation into a campaign issue.
The problem is that it was already a campaign issue. One where Joe Biden and his cronies in the media were claiming didn't exist. According Biden, the media, social media, and the rest of the Democratic machine, there was no reason to investigate Hunter Biden and any suggestion otherwise was Trump pushing a lie. You couldn't even post stories about Hunter Biden being investigated on social media without it getting censored.
This prosecutor knew that he was in fact investigating, that Trump was in fact telling the truth, and that Biden and his minions were lying.
He broke normal protocol (which according to the story should have been moving forward with the next phase of the investigation) purely to prevent the truth from getting out.
Plain and simple. Whatever excuse he otherwise wants to give.
