Texas Democrat in Washington D.C. makes fun of autistic Republican personal appearance

Apparently this Wu guy might have finished off that beer from the plane!

Now autistic people do not have noticeable physical features like say someone who suffers from down syndrome, but it is very common for autism to cause different facial expressions from what we see to be normal.

Autism makes it hard for those who have it to look people in the eye in a comfortable manner and they can appear to be uncomfortable in many social settings. I know my own son (who suffers from autism) doesn't like having his picture taken and it's difficult to get a natural pose. Obviously Briscoe Cain (the person being made fun of) appears to be struggling with looking comfortable for the camera here. I could take one look at Cain and suspect that he is autistic.

This does not make him a serial killer or a cowboy to be made fun of. Gene Wu should be ashamed of himself.

This is only a thing if Trump does it. Democrats are allowed to do this. Anytime. To anyone.

It's covered under the 'hypocrisy' clause of the DNC handbook.

Mark Milley Feared Trump Would Strike Iran

Susan Glasser: “There were two ‘nightmare scenarios,’ Milley told associates, for the period after the November 3rd election, which resulted in Trump’s defeat but not his concession: one was that Trump would try ‘to use the military on the streets of America to prevent the legitimate, peaceful transfer of power.’ The other was an external crisis involving Iran. It was not public at the time, but Milley believed that the nation had come close—‘very close’—to conflict with the Islamic Republic.”

“This dangerous post-election period, Milley said, was all because of Trump’s ‘Hitler’-like embrace of the ‘Big Lie’ that the election had been stolen from him; Milley feared it was Trump’s ‘Reichstag moment,’ in which, like Adolf Hitler in 1933, he would manufacture a crisis in order to swoop in and rescue the nation from it.

The January 6th attacks was an attempt to do the same thing that Hitler and his Reichstag moment when he invaded the parliament in Berlin.

Yet you are distracting information in support of Trump.

Those vaccinated people are now spreading the virus !!!

Make them stay home

And wait till this experimental vaccine with "emergency" authorization gets checked for long-term issues...

Vaccinate the vulnerable who want it.

It should never be made mandatory.

We didn't have to Goldwater moment in time yesterday.

McCarthy's new pilgrimage to Donald Trump shows there is no price a party that has slipped its moral moorings and given up on democracy will not pay for power.

His trip to the ex-President's New Jersey golf resort on Thursday came with Washington in shock over new revelations about Trump's crazed last days in office and his refusal to leave office peacefully after a clear election defeat. Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Mark Milley, for instance, feared Trump might try to seize control of the military to stage a coup, according to a forthcoming book by two Washington Post reporters.

The House minority leader's fresh lavishing on Trump of the loyalty that he craves also came as the former commander in chief continues to tarnish faith in American democracy with false and desperate claims of mass voter fraud and as McCarthy is considering whom to appoint to the House select committee meant to investigate the January 6 insurrection Trump incited.

With this in mind, it's hard to see McCarthy's gesture as anything but acceptance of Trump's unique attempt to destroy the US political system and his autocratic tendencies. That the purpose of the visit was to discuss the midterm elections and party fundraising also suggests that McCarthy plans to build a 2022 campaign on Trump's insurrectionist record.

For Trump, there will be no political cost for multiple abuses of power. Quite the opposite, as he seeks to rehabilitate his reputation ahead of a possible 2024 presidential run that would itself be constructed on his "Big Lie" that the election was stolen from him.

"I enjoyed meeting with President Trump today,

Why Schumer Pulled the Trigger Now
July 16, 2021 at 10:15 am EDT By Taegan Goddard
Punchbowl News:
“So why the power play by Schumer? The calendar.

“Schumer is facing an increasingly intense time crunch. It’s already the middle of July. The Senate is supposed to be out of session for most of August.

“How long it would take committees in both the House and Senate to turn that huge package into actual legislative language is unclear, but it’s going to be months.

“Schumer will need weeks of floor time as well to clear the bipartisan infrastructure bill — if it ever gets finished. Meaning he has to force the bipartisan group to cut a deal, or move on.”

Democrats Launch Hail Mary on Immigration Reform
July 16, 2021 at 6:29 am EDT By Taegan Goddard 4 Comments
“Top Democrats, with the support of the White House, are planning to tuck a handful of immigration measures into their forthcoming $3.5 trillion spending bill,” Politico reports.

“The tactic — which just months ago seemed like a long shot even to liberals — is now widely seen as President Joe Biden’s best shot at confronting one of Washington’s policy leviathans and delivering on a decades-long party promise."

Playbook:
“The most glaring obstacle here is the Senate rulebook. To pass muster, the immigration reforms would have to significantly impact the federal budget — by generating revenue or deepening the deficit — rather than merely being a side effect. Even raising the minimum wage failed to make the cut under that criterion earlier this year.”

Ever notice how all of these abstract complaints about Trump by these critics never actually involve anything he actually did?

They always seem to be things that were never actually done, but that somehow, someway, these critics believed that he was "that close" to doing them?

It's one thing to complain about what someone does. It's another to have a long running series of complaints about things that never happened... which is 90% of the complaints about Trump.

Sort of how Roger gets upset when people bring up the idea that there was a restraining order against him. Did he beat up his wife because she was black? He says no... but the restraining order and subsequent police attention were based on what it was perceived he "might do".

By this token... and any all of the Trump criticism about things he never did are no more or less credible than people who attack Roger over his issues with spousal abuse. By Roger's (and the Reverend's) own logic... the fact that Roger claims he never hit his wife is still fair game because someone (in this case his black wife afraid of the big white guy) believed that he "might" do it.

So what say you Roger!

Fair game?

It's getting strange in Minnesota

ST. PAUL, Minn. — Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz signed an executive order aimed at banning so-called conversion therapy on Thursday but said it's just a start and called on the Legislature to make the ban permanent.

Walz said conversion therapy — the scientifically discredited practice of using therapy to “convert” LGBTQ people to heterosexuality or traditional gender expectations — is a “byzantine, tortuous practice" that's not supported by any legitimate mental health organization. He said his order empowers state agencies to ensure that no Minnesotans under age 18 are subjected to it, and that insurance companies and state health plans don't cover it.

“There's no place for hate in this state, there's no room for division,” Walz said at a signing ceremony just ahead of Pride Weekend. “Our LGBTQ+ community is part, and a huge part, of what it means to be one Minnesota. When they are hurt or put through this, we all hurt. And when they succeed, we all succeed.”

Minnesota became one of 24 states that, to varying degrees, ban mental health professionals from seeking to change anyone's sexual orientation. Eleven Minnesota cities already have local bans, including Minneapolis, St. Paul, Rochester and Duluth.

Junior Avalos, 25, who identifies as nonbinary/queer, said at the ceremony that they hope the order lets LGBTQ young people know “that they get to live their authentic selves without repercussions or fear.” They said they worked a fast food job to pay for conversion therapy when they were 16 and they are healing from the trauma.

“Because everywhere around me, not just from my peers but authority figures that I looked up to, I was being told that there was something wrong with me, that I was broken, that I didn't deserve to be here," said Avalos of Minneapolis. “And all I ever wanted was to be accepted.”

Attempts to get a ban through the divided Legislature failed in 2019 amid Republican opposition. Democratic Sen. Scott Dibble, of Minneapolis, said legislation is still necessary to ensure that a future governor doesn't repeal the ban, and to extend it to Minnesotans of all ages.

Why did Republicans oppose this bill?

Seeing as to how freely the alky throws around the 'n' word around here, it's obvious he's a virulent racist, therefore it's not a stretch wonder if the alky beat Lydia's ass simply because she's black.

Recall that it was only a few months back when the alky lobbed racist smear after racist smear at Senator Tim Scott. Vile and disgusting stuff. And this is the same alky who worshipped the ground Robert Byrd walked on, and was inconsolable when his favorite Grand Kleagle took the big dirt nap.

Just like I agree that a child should not undergo a sex change operation or start taking hormone therapy when it is the adult guardian making the actual decision, I also would argue that this sort of therapy should not be provided to children when the adult guardian is making that decision for them.

If an adult wants to "get therapy" as a means to "convert" them to hetereorsexuality then that is their business. They are adults and the State has no right to control what they do, regardless of how stupid the State believes they are being.

Trump's sustained hostility toward the Khans has made other Republican candidates and officeholders deeply uncomfortable. On Monday morning, Arizona Sen. John McCain, whom Trump once mocked for being shot down and captured during the Vietnam War, issued a nearly 700-word statement denouncing Trump's critiques of the Khans.

"In recent days, Donald Trump disparaged a fallen soldier's parents. He has suggested that the likes of their son should not be allowed in the United States — to say nothing of entering its service. I cannot emphasize enough how deeply I disagree with Mr. Trump's statement," McCain said. "I hope Americans understand that the remarks do not represent the views of our Republican Party, its officers, or candidates."

Also in McCain's statement:

"I claim no moral superiority over Donald Trump. I have a long and well-known public and private record for which I will have to answer at the Final Judgment, and I repose my hope in the promise of mercy and the moderation of age. I challenge the nominee to set the example for what our country can and should represent.

"Arizona is watching. It is time for Donald Trump to set the example for our country and the future of the Republican Party. While our Party has bestowed upon him the nomination, it is not accompanied by unfettered license to defame those who are the best among us.

"Lastly, I'd like to say to Mr. and Mrs. Khan: thank you for immigrating to America. We're a better country because of you. And you are certainly right; your son was the best of America, and the memory of his sacrifice will make us a better nation — and he will never be forgotten."

McCain was not a sucker or a loser like 4F draft status Trump bone spurs asshole.

The part that cracks me up is that this "is not supported by any legitimate mental health organization," yet trans hormone conversion therapy of a minor child IS supported by all these legitimate mental health organizations.
