I wonder why Liar Ch did reveal the source for this polling? Rasmussen, perhaps?

No, it's worse. Trafalgar group.

From Wiki:
The Trafalgar Group is an opinion polling and survey company founded by Robert Cahaly and based in Atlanta, Georgia. It first publicly released polls in 2016. The company has tended to produce polls that show more support for Trump than other pollsters do. Since successfully predicting the result of the 2016 presidential election, its polling has been less accurate.

The company says it utilizes methods to increase the weighting of so-called "shy, pro-Trump" voters which they argue to be underrepresented in most polls. The company does not disclose its methods.

Leading up to the 2020 presidential election, pollsters associated with Trafalgar Group garnered significant media attention for their assertions that Trump would prevail over Joe Biden in the 2020 election, a claim that contradicted the polling consensus. This prediction of a Trump victory proved to be wrong, with Trafalgar incorrectly predicting victories for Trump in five battleground states won by Biden.

Majority Of Americans Believe That ‘Others,’ Not Biden, Are Calling The Shots In The White House: Poll
By Daily Wire News
Jul 6, 2021

A new poll released on Monday found the majority of Americans believe that “others” are really running the show in President Joe Biden’s administration and not Biden himself.

The national poll was released by the Convention of States Action in partnership with The Trafalgar Group. The poll, which was conducted toward the end of June, surveyed more than 1,000 likely voters for the upcoming 2022 midterm elections.

Key findings from the poll included:

56.5% of American voters do not believe...ETC, ETC,
I HAVE OMITTED Ch's polling tripe

“President Lincoln’s famous refrain that you can’t fool all of the people all of the time has never been more relevant and critical to the survival of our American Republic. The American people deserve transparency from the Biden Administration as to the true state of the President’s mental and physical health, and leaders in both parties in Congress need to follow through on this immediately, ” said Mark Meckler, President of Convention of States Action. “The continued failure to ask hard questions and demand real answers is a disgrace to the foundation of our democracy.”

NO, THE BIG LIES ARE.

The poll comes after former Obama White House doctor Ronny Jackson, who is now a Republican congressman out of Texas, said over the weekend that he believes that Biden is “demonstrating every single day that there is something going on.”

RIGHT. THE GOVERNMENT.

“You don’t need to be a physician to look at this behavior and see there’s something concerning happening,” Jackson said. “You can go back – there’s forty years of tape of this man – he’s always made gaffes and stuff but these are different, he’s confused, he’s disoriented.”

“We all know people who are 100-years old, who basically are as sharp as a tack, and we know people who are in their mid-60’s that having some cognitive difficulties…and I think he’s on that end of the spectrum,” Jackson continued. “He’s just not aging gracefully at this point. I’m just asking them, when you do the physical exam include the cognitive assessment. As far as I’m concerned the standard precedent has been set and they need to follow and do the same.”

BIDEN CAN IDENTIFY PICTURES OF GIRAFFES AND ELEPHANT AS WELL AS TRUMP.

Famed podcast host Joe Rogan took a swipe at Biden at the end of last month, saying that it was obvious that Biden was not all there.

“We’re unhinged in a lot of ways and we’re not anchored down by a real leader,” Rogan said when talking about the state of the nation. “You know, we don’t really have a real leader in the country, anymore. I mean, you can say Joe Biden is the president, he’s our leader, and you’d be correct on paper. But I mean, everybody knows he’s out of his mind. He’s just, he’s barely hanging in there.”

Racism Was Ingrained In The System From The Beginning,’ U.S. Air Force Prof Who Teaches Critical Race Theory Says Of Military

A U.S. Air Force Academy professor who teaches Critical Race Theory (CRT) to cadets preached in The Washington Post that George Washington was a racist, the United States was founded partly on “inequality, inegalitarianism and second-class citizenship,” and “racism was ingrained in the system from the beginning, and the military still struggles with these issues.”

Lynne Chandler García, an associate professor of political science at the U.S. Air Force Academy, began by referring to the recent appearance by Joint Chiefs Chairman Gen. Mark Milley before Congress in which he defended teaching CRT in the military. García argued that his testimony “shows that it is not unpatriotic to understand a fuller version of American history, nor does it promote division among our military members.”

Testifying before the House Armed Services Committee, Milley snapped, “I’ve read Mao Tse-Tung; I’ve read Karl Marx; I’ve read Lenin. That doesn’t make me a communist.”  When Milley was given a chance to answer the question of CRT being taught in the military, he started by saying that it was important to delve into CRT to “get much smarter” about it: “First of all, on the issue of Critical Race Theory, etc., a lot of us have to get much smarter on whatever the theory is.”

Covid-19 Cases Spike Among the Unvaccinated
July 7, 2021 at 11:05 am EDT By Taegan Goddard
New York Times:
“In many urban and suburban communities, Covid continues to plummet. The rate of new daily cases has fallen below three per 100,000 residents in large cities like Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Detroit, Houston, Minneapolis, New York, Philadelphia, San Francisco and Washington.

"As a point of comparison, the national rate of new daily cases peaked last winter above 75 per 100,000 people.

“But in less populated areas — which tend to be more politically conservative and skeptical of vaccines — the virus is now surging, largely from the contagious Delta variant. The states with the worst outbreaks are Arkansas and Missouri
(each with more than 16 new daily cases per 100,000 people)
followed by Florida (10),
Nevada (10),
Wyoming (nine) and
Utah (eight).”

The S&P 500 rose to a fresh record on Wednesday as investors poured back into trusty mega-cap technology stocks.

The S&P 500 advanced 0.3% to a new intraday high after the index ended a seven-day winning streak in the previous session. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 40 points. The technology-heavy Nasdaq Composite rose 0.1% after hitting a fresh record shortly after the open.

With rates falling and Wall Street fretting about a peak in economic growth, investors have rediscovered their old Big Tech favorites. Apple and Amazon are both up more than 10% over the past month, far outpacing the S&P 500′s 2.8% return.

Defying many predictions, the 10-year Treasury yield fell to 1.306% on Wednesday. Major technology names like Apple and Google-parent Alphabet rose on Wednesday. Shares of Amazon gained 1% even after the e-commerce giant rallied nearly 5% on Tuesday.

“As has been the case for some time, the direction of bond yields and tech stock have been joined at the hip,” Jim Paulsen, chief investment strategist at the Leuthold Group, told CNBC. “Traders will be watching as S&P 500 tech index move closer to its relative price high established last September. A break above that level would certainly reinforce a sustained leadership cycle for tech.”

Energy stocks were in the red as oil prices fell. WTI crude touched a 6-year high briefly on Tuesday before retreating. Crude was down again on Wednesday. Occidental Petroleum, APA Corp. and Pioneer Natural Resources all dipped more than 2%.

Coldheartedtruth Teller said...

Your new favorite bullhorn said that the MSM is Russian propaganda Pravda.

As part of Russia’s campaign to fracture American unity, it has endorsed voices of hopelessness who turn to violence. The Director of National Intelligence noted that in 2012, the Russian state-sponsored TV network RT “aired a documentary called ‘Cultures of Protest,’ about active and often violent political resistance,” and told viewers American government can only be changed by “revolution.” That sounds much like the message of CNN’s “United Shades of America,” in which host W. Kamau Bell interviewed violent members of Antifa. “Look, this fighting for democracy and against fascism thing has always been a messy business. And, yes, people get hurt [and] property gets damaged,” Bell said.

Russia has focused much of its own propaganda driving a wedge between police and the black community by supporting the Black Lives Matter movement. Slate reviewed the ads purchased by the Kremlin’s Internet Research Agency and reported that “hundreds of the ads were focused on police violence toward black Americans.”

The Kremlin could never buy the publicity won by CNN and MSNBC’s laser-like focus on the exceedingly rare cases of law enforcement officers shooting unarmed black men. Frequent MSNBC contributor Jason Johnson of Morgan State University told Brian Williams in April, “I’m just as likely to get shot by that cop as I am with a potential intruder. That’s just the reality. That’s the reality of it that I live with every day.” Another contributor, said last June that black “People should be free to move about this country without the existential dread.” Just last month, former Obama administration appointee Brittany Packnett Cunningham told MSNBC that the nation’s “rising crime … is actually the fault of the police.”

The Kremlin tried to convince black Americans that there is no safe haven for them anywhere in the U.S., even in professional sports. Before the 1984 Summer Olympics, Soviet agents forged letters purportedly coming from the Ku Klux Klan that threatened to kill black athletes. “The Olympics — for the whites only,” they said. “We are preparing for the Olympic games by shooting at black moving targets.”

The legacy media likewise magnified false reports that a noose had been found in black NASCAR driver Bubba Wallace’s garage. (In reality, the pull rope had been in the stall for years.) CNN political analyst Errol Louis connected the fictitious death threat to Wallace’s opposition to the Confederate flag. “These things don’t change overnight, and they don’t change without some ugliness,” he said. “We’re starting to see some of the ugliness.”

The Left is the most convenient vehicle for engendering civil strife, with its embrace of intersectionality and its poisonous spawn, identity politics, which divide the country based on race, ethnicity, sex, sexual preference, gender identity, and (of least importance to the modern Left) socioeconomic status. The finer and more impermeable the divisions can be cut, the greater the resultant division. The legacy media drive this fractious message home literally 24 hours a day.

The goal of getting Americans to question the legitimacy of their government advanced thanks to the media, which spent four years delegitimizing the Trump administration. When the late Rep. John Lewis said he did not believe “Trump is a legitimate president,” then-CNN political analyst Symone Sanders replied, “I’m not going to sit here and make judgments on whether or not it’s appropriate for John Lewis to join the Resistance. I’m here for the Resistance.” (Sanders is now Kamala Harris’ chief spokeswoman.) The media did not confine themselves to the executive branch. When multiple Democrats called Amy Coney Barrett’s appointment to the Supreme Court “illegitimate,” CNN chief political analyst Gloria Borger said, “Kamala Harris was saying, the Democrats believe that this — with reason I believe — that this entire session lacks legitimacy.”

Coldheartedtruth Teller said...

The legacy media certainly increased the number of Americans who do not trust what they read or hear on the news. How else could viewers react when CNN described last summer’s burning of Kenosha as “fiery but mostly peaceful,” in a manner reminiscent of Baghdad Bob? How should they respond to a media that claims the possibility that COVID-19 originated in a Wuhan lab went from “impossible” to “suddenly credible” with no real change in the evidence? Even the media’s fact-checks are frequently politically motivated or outright erroneous. The legacy media have discredited themselves, leaving Americans with the developed world’s lowest trust in the media.

There is one final objective of Russian propaganda that many other assessments do not capture: Péter Krekó, a fellow at the National Endowment for Democracy and executive director of the Budapest-based Political Capital Institute, once told me that one of Russia’s greatest desires is to appear more powerful than it truly is. The media accomplished this task beyond Moscow’s wildest dreams. Russia has a shrinking population, an aging nuclear arsenal, and an economy smaller than the GDP of Texas. The DNI says that Russia will “struggle to project and maintain influence globally.” It tries to fill the void with paltry Facebook ads and troll websites. But Democrats and the media spent the last four years acting as though Vladimir Putin dictated Republican policy in a manner comparable to a medieval tsar appointing regional commisars to oversee grain production in the Caucuses.

If the media truly wish to combat “Russian misinformation and disinformation,” they can begin by dialing down their racially divisive coverage, ceasing to polarize Americans over political differences, and returning to the most fundamental task of journalism: getting the facts right.

“In 2018, motivated by national security concerns, the Trump administration launched a trade and tech war with China that jolted the entire globalized semiconductor supply chain. McCarthy Readies Picks for Select Committee on Jan. 6
July 7, 2021 at 1:40 pm EDT By Taegan Goddard
Politico:
“Among McCarthy members who have already lived through two Trump impeachments, some want the GOP leader to pick fighters skilled enough to withstand a months-long bombardment from Democrats trying to use the select committee to spotlight the former president’s role in the deadly Capitol attack led by his supporters.

“But the House Republicans most eager to serve on the Jan. 6 panel are the party’s firebrands, more practiced at crafting viral clips of verbal attacks than they are at making a sustained, credible case against top Democratic oversight practitioners.
That leaves McCarthy with the tricky task of tapping the right mix of select committee appointments — and the Republicans he picks must be prepared to go toe to toe with one of their own.”

In A Healthy Country, The Bidens Would Be Seen As The Picture Of Elite Corruption
It's pretty clear that Hunter Biden's corrupt foreign influence peddling benefitted the current president of the United States.

On January 3rd, 2019, around 7:30 p.m., Hunter Biden sent a text message to his 25-year-old daughter Naomi. “I love all of you,” he wrote, “But I don’t receive any respect and that’s fine I guess – works for you apparently. I hope you all can do what I did and pay for everything for this entire family for 30 years. It’s really hard.”

“But don’t worry,” Hunter continued, “unlike Pop I won’t make you give me half your salary.”

We know this because the Daily Mail just published a screenshot of the message, which was reportedly recovered from Hunter’s infamous laptop. The laptop, like his memoir, continues fleshing out a tragic picture of addiction and dysfunction.

Importantly, however, the addiction and dysfunction are the public’s problem too, given that Hunter was wrapped up in an influence peddling operation in which he traded on his father’s name to carry out lucrative business deals. That makes the sad work of reading his personal correspondence crucial given that his father is the president of the United States.

In this era of media corruption, there are two layers to nearly every story: the substance and the coverage. They are often equally important. In this case, the media’s decision to spend last week squeezing every drop out of Trump Organization CFO Allen Weisselberg’s indictment obviously contrasts with its disinterest in the Hunter Biden saga which, by the way, implicates the sitting president.

Let’s now set that layer aside to focus on the substance of the story. “Unlike Pop I won’t make you give me half your salary,” Hunter wrote to his daughter.

Miranda Devine synthesized information from a handful of the laptop emails in a Fourth of July column for the New York Post. “There’s no direct evidence of such a wealth transfer on Hunter’s laptop,” she wrote. “But what we do know is that, while Joe was vice president, Hunter routinely paid at least some of his father’s household expenses, including AT&T bills of around $190 a month.

“We know from an e-mail on June 5, 2010, with the subject “JRB bills” to Hunter from Eric Schwerin, his business partner at Rosemont Seneca, that he was expected to foot hefty bills to Wilmington contractors for maintenance and upkeep of his father’s palatial lakefront property,” added Devine, noting, “Joe’s initials are JRB, for Joseph Robinette Biden.”

Census figures show that households using wood as a primary heat source more than doubled in Michigan and Connecticut, and grew more than 90 percent in six other states.
SOURCE: U.S. CENSUS DATE 2000-2010

Recently released U.S. Census figures show the number of households heating with wood grew 34 percent between 2000 and 2010, faster than any other heating fuel. Electricity showed the second fastest growth, with a 24 percent increase over the past decade.

In two states, households using wood as a primary heat source more than doubled—Michigan (135 percent) and Connecticut (122 percent). And in six other states, wood heating grew by more than 90 percent—New Hampshire (99 percent), Massachusetts (99 percent), Maine (96 percent), Rhode Island (96 percent), Ohio (95 percent) and Nevada (91 percent).

Census data also shows that low- and middle-income households are much more likely to use wood as a primary heating fuel, making low- and middle-income families growth leaders of the residential renewable energy movement. According to the U.S. Energy Information Administration, residential wood heat accounts for 80 percent of residential renewable energy, solar 15 percent and geothermal 5 percent.

“Heating with wood may not be hip like solar, but it’s proving to be the workhorse of residential renewable energy production,” said John Ackerly, president of the Alliance for Green Heat, a nonprofit organization based in Maryland.

The rise of wood and wood pellets in home heating is driven by the climbing cost of oil, the economic downturn and the movement to use renewable energy. The Census Bureau does not track the reason people switch fuels but in states like Maine and New Hampshire where rising oil prices are squeezing household budgets, it is clear that many families simply feel the need to cut heating costs.

“The rise of wood heat is good news for offsetting fossil fuels, achieving energy independence, creating jobs and helping families affordably heat their homes,” Ackerly  said. “However, wood heat’s rapid rise is not just from people using clean pellet and EPA certified wood stoves. Many people are also dusting off old and inefficient stoves and in some states installing outdoor boilers that create too much smoke.”

Over the past decade, the number of households using two of the most expensive heating fuels significantly declined: propane dropped 16 percent and oil heat dropped 21 percent. Some of those homes undoubtedly switched to wood. Switching from fossil fuels to commercially purchased wood heat can reduce a home’s heating bills by half or more. Those who cut or collect their own wood save much more, using their labor to zero out heating bills.

Currently about 25 percent to 30 percent of the 12 million stoves in the U.S. are clean burning pellet stoves or EPA certified wood stoves, according to the EPA and other sources. Americans have installed about 1 million pellet stoves since the 1980s when they were invented.

Wood now ranks third in the most common heating fuels after gas and electricity for both primary and secondary heating fuel use, but ranks fifth, after oil and propane as well, when only primary heat fuel is considered. As of 2010, 2.1 percent of American homes, or about 2.40 million households, use wood as a primary heat source, up from 1.6 percent in 2000. About 10 percent to 12 percent of American households use wood when secondary heating is counted, according to the Census Bureau and the EIA.

The rapid rise in wood heat as a primary heating fuel is mainly a rural phenomenon, and to a lesser extent a suburban trend. According to the U.S. census, 57 percent of households who primarily heat with wood live in rural areas, 40 percent in suburban areas and only 3 percent in urban areas.

Tucker Carlson may be charged with spying against the United States.

Between the lines: The NSA's public statement didn't directly deny that any Carlson communications had been swept up by the agency.

Axios submitted a request for comment to the NSA on Wednesday, asking whether the agency would also be willing to categorically deny that the NSA intercepted any of Carlson's communications in the context of monitoring somebody he was talking to in his efforts to set up an interview with Putin. An NSA spokesperson declined to comment and referred Axios back to the agency's earlier, carefully worded, statement. In other words, the NSA is denying the targeting of Carlson but is not denying that his communications were incidentally collected.

What's next: Experts say there are several plausible scenarios — including legal scenarios — that could apply.

The first — and least likely — scenario is that the U.S. government submitted a request to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court to monitor Carlson to protect national security.

A more plausible scenario is that one of the people Carlson was talking to as an intermediary to help him get the Putin interview was under surveillance as a foreign agent. In that scenario, Carlson's emails or text messages could have been incidentally collected as part of monitoring this person, but Carlson's identity would have been masked in any intelligence reports. In order to know that the texts and emails were Carlson's, a U.S. government official would likely have to request his identity be unmasked, something that's only permitted if the unmasking is necessary to understand the intelligence.

In a third scenario, interceptions might not have involved Carlson's communications. The U.S. government routinely monitors the communications of people in Putin's orbit, who may have been discussing the details of Carlson's request for an interview.

But under this scenario, too, Carlson's identity would have been masked in reports as part of his protections as a U.S. citizen, and unmasking would only be permitted if a U.S. government official requested that his identity be unmasked in order to understand the intelligence. And it's not clear why that would be necessary here.

The intrigue: Two sources familiar with Carlson's communications said his two Kremlin intermediaries live in the United States, but the sources could not confirm whether both are American citizens or whether both were on U.S. soil at the time they communicated with Carlson.

This is relevant because if one of them was a foreign national and on foreign soil during the communications, the U.S. government wouldn't necessarily have had to seek approval to monitor their communications.

The government has the right to protect and defend the Constitution and the people from other countries who are our adversaries

Along with a notebook containing step-by-step instructions on how to create a “hometown militia,” FBI agents seized a “fully constructed U.S. Capitol Lego set” from the Pennsylvania man indicted last month for his alleged leadership role in the January 6 insurrection, according to court records.

Prosecutors charge that Robert Morss, 27, directed fellow rioters during “one of the most intense and prolonged clashes” with law enforcement officers who were seeking to prevent a violent mob from entering the Capitol through doors on the Lower West Terrace.

In a July 2 motion, government lawyers reported that agents found a notebook in Morss’s car that contained “writings that included ‘Step by Step To Create Hometown Militia.’” The militia to-do list included steps like “Ambush” and “Battle Drills” and reminders to “Bring Assault Rifle” and “4 Magazines.”

Investigators also seized clothing and other items matching those that Morss carried on January 6, including a “Don’t Tread on Me” flag, military fatigues, a black tourniquet, and a military utility bag. Morss also had “three different firearms including a handgun, a shotgun, and a rifle,” according to the detention motion.

FBI agents who raided Morss’s suburban Pittsburgh residence also “recovered a fully constructed U.S. Capitol Lego set.” The court filing does not indicate whether federal investigators believe that Morss used the 1032-piece Lego set in preparation for his alleged rampaging on January 6.

He's in serious trouble with the law enforcement agency, not Trump who incited the attack on January 6th.

The former guys is suing Facebook, Twitter, and Google for violating his 1st Amendment rights by keeping him off their platforms.

Perhaps someone should remind him that they’re private companies to which the 1st Amendment doesn’t apply.

Presumably Trump or his lawyers know this. The purpose of the lawsuit isn’t really to win it. It’s to give him more ammo for his incessant grifting – raising more money from followers who are eager to show their support for him, now by “sticking it” to Facebook, Twitter, and Google.

The irony here is that in many respects Facebook, Twitter, and Google are mini-governments. They’re monopolies with extraordinary power over both the economy and our personal lives. They should be brought under control – but by antitrust laws and government action, not by a failed president who has used them to sow lies and inspire sedition

The June 2020 rally was promoted as Trump's campaign-trail comeback after COVID-19 lockdowns halted most in-person gatherings. Before the event, the Trump campaign, including Parscale, boasted that nearly 1 million people had requested tickets.

The crowd turned out to be significantly smaller. After the rally, the Trump campaign claimed that 12,000 people attended. The Tulsa Fire Department said only about 6,200 supporters showed up.

The puppet President has been spying on Tucker Carlson using the NSA.

further light into Tucker Carlson’s bombshell allegation that the National Security Agency (NSA) obtained his private communications.

The Fox News host and Daily Caller co-founder was communicating with U.S.-based Kremlin intermediaries regarding a potential interview with Russian President Vladimir Putin, according to Axios, which reportedly spoke to two sources “familiar with Carlson’s communications.”

“As I’ve said repeatedly, because it’s true, the NSA read my emails and then leaked their contents. That’s an outrage, as well as illegal,” Carlson told Axios in a statement.

Carlson first made the allegation last week on his show, saying that a whistleblower inside of the federal government told him the NSA was monitoring his private communications with the intention of leaking them to target his show.

For someone who filed thousands of lawsuits during his career in business, former president Donald Trump has been rather quiet on the legal front since he left office — particularly if you don’t count the criminal charges his business and associates are facing — with only a few minor suits filed here

But that ended on Wednesday. Trump announced that he has filed suit against Facebook, Google, Twitter, and their CEOs, a class action that will at last seek justice for the people those companies have so grievously wronged, starting with Trump himself.
It sounds like something big: a former president, facing off against some of the biggest, most influential and most profitable tech companies in America. But, in fact, it’s puny and pathetic.

Perhaps because of his company’s struggles, Trump is returning to his roots as a small-time grifter, desperate to draw attention to himself and willing to do just about anything to grab a few extra bucks.

The lawsuit itself is so laughable that it gives away the game; not even Trump could think this is something he’d actually win.
His complaint against Facebook — presumably prepared by actual lawyers,
hard as that may be to believe — claims that it “rises beyond that of a private company to that of a state actor. As such, Defendant is constrained by the First Amendment right to free speech in the censorship decisions it makes regarding its Users.”

Biden Weighs Response to Ransomware Attacks
July 8, 2021 at 7:25 am EDT By Taegan Goddard 7 Comments
“President Biden emerged from a Situation Room meeting with his top cybersecurity advisers on Wednesday to declare that he ‘will deliver’ a response to President Vladimir Putin of Russia for the wave of ransomware attacks hitting American companies, after hearing a series of options about how he could disrupt the extortion efforts,” the New York Times reports.

“Mr. Biden’s vague statement, delivered as he was departing for a trip, left it unclear whether he was planning another verbal warning to Mr. Putin — similar to the one he issued three weeks ago during a one-on-one summit in Geneva — or would move ahead with more aggressive options to dismantle the infrastructure used by Russian-language criminal groups.

“Each option runs significant risk, because Russia is capable of escalating its own behavior. And as the ransomware deluge has shown, many companies in the private sector and federal and state government agencies remain rife with vulnerabilities that Russian actors can find and exploit.”

Bill Barr re-emerges, spotlights total corruption of the Department of Justice

Six months after resigning as attorney general, William Barr recently re-entered the spotlight, reportedly telling friendly news correspondent Jonathan Karl that allegations of vote fraud during the 2020 election are bull. Now that civilian Bill Barr has jumped back into the political fray, it is time to take unflinching stock of the degraded Department of Justice (DOJ) and how it became even further corrupted during Barr's reign.

In reviewing the attorney general's passivity during his tenure, it is difficult to escape the conclusion that Barr's inaction was born of anything other than profound fear of the progressive, hydra-headed agency he ostensibly led. Indeed, during his nearly two years on the job, the nation's top cop repeatedly gave interviews in which he alluded to criminal wrongdoing on the part of the Obama administration and senior leaders of Obama's intelligence agencies, which spied on the Trump campaign and later sought to remove Trump from office on a variety of increasingly implausible and comically specious pretexts. Yet, despite all of Barr's talk, there was never any accountability for the malefactors.

Given the elastic timeframes and endless delays concluding the John Durham–led probe into the origins of the Russia hoax-cum-coup that crippled Trump's presidency, it is worth asking whether Barr cravenly provided the president and the public with false assurances that he and Durham were indeed making a good-faith effort to root out the rampant corruption within the DOJ, coupled with false promises that the coup's participants would be brought to justice. Did Barr make a calculated decision to buy time, carrying water for the administrative state he so fears, while deliberately running out the clock on President Trump? Did Barr bank his hopes on Trump's defeat in the 2020 election
so the entire five-year, government-wide effort to defenestrate Trump could be flushed away down the memory hole?

In reviewing nearly two years of the Barr-led DOJ, it is instructive to reflect on the two-tiered nature of justice at the DOJ. Several mysterious deaths remain unexplained, among them the 2016 murder of Democrat operative Seth Rich and the "suicides" of the politically connected pedophile Jeffrey Epstein and the Department of Homeland Security whistleblower Philip Haney. What did these seemingly unrelated events have in common? The suddenly deceased were all in a position to reveal enormously incriminating information about prominent Democrats. It is not a "conspiracy theory" to observe that the DOJ seems to have no interest in investigating these highly suspicious deaths.

Similarly, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), under the DOJ, continues to sit idly on the information gleaned from Hunter Biden's laptop over the past two years, likely in an effort to conceal the evident corruption of Democrat President Joe Biden. Further, the DOJ seems unconcerned by the apparent immigration fraud and ballot-harvesting activities of prominent Democrats like Congresswoman Ilhan Omar. Neither has the DOJ (nor the intelligence agencies) evinced much interest in infiltrating and bringing to justice criminal groups like Antifa, which deploy violent left-wing shock troops to wreak havoc on the nation's streets. And the DOJ, while searching frenetically under every bed in America for straw men to slay, whether Russian bots or white nationalists (WSEs, whatever those are), has no interest in prosecuting FBI agents who use taxpayer dollars to engage in prurient pursuits like child pornography while on the job.

WHAT IS HERD IMMUNITY AND HOW IS IT ACHIEVED?

What Is Herd Immunity, and Why Is It Important for COVID-19 Survival?

In the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, many experts have noted that herd immunity is what is needed for us to slow the COVID-19 infection rate and prevent the overwhelming spread of the disease.

But there tends to be some misunderstanding about what herd immunity is. At its most basic level, herd immunity is achieved when a high enough percentage of a population has become immune to a virus, making it very difficult for that pathogen to spread from person to person. Trying to create herd immunity, though, is where things get complicated.

There are two main ways to achieve herd immunity.
The first is that a large enough percentage of a population must contract a disease and either die from it or develop immunity to future infections after surviving the illness — preferably the latter. The second is that pharmaceutical companies produce a vaccine that is distributed to at least 70 to 90% of the population, and that vaccine makes them immune to the virus for a period of time.

Now that several COVID-19 vaccines are being administered around the globe, the hope is that enough people will opt to receive these immunizations — allowing us to achieve herd immunity and greatly slow the spread of the virus.

Those who are refusing to be vaccinated have not moved on. They are Republicansd for the most part and are refusing vaccination in far higher numbers in the southern Republican states. They are risking their own lives and the lives of others, especially with that more virulent strain of the virus now becoming rampant.

HEALTH NEWS
Here’s Where COVID-19 Cases Are Rising...
Written by David Mills on July 7, 2021
— Fact checked by Jennifer Chesak

New COVID-19 cases rose to almost 14,000 per day over the past week in the United States.
Experts warn that areas with many unvaccinated people as well as emerging variants could lead to another surge in cases.

The daily vaccination rate in the United States has fallen to fewer than 700,000. Experts say elected and community leaders need to continue to push the benefits of vaccination.
Editor’s note: This story is updated regularly as new statistics are released.

The number of new COVID-19 cases, hospitalizations, and deaths in the United States continues to be at relatively low levels, but there are still concerns as case numbers slowly start to edge upward.

According to figures from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the average number of new U.S. cases has risen to almost 14,000 a day, about 3,000 more than the previous week.

Meanwhile, the 7-day average of vaccine doses being administered per day in the United States has fallen to fewer than 700,000.

Overall, the number of new cases in the United States was listed at 95,769 for the week that ended on Tuesday, a 13 percent increase from the previous week.

The number of COVID-19 deaths declined to 958 this past week, a 54 percent drop from the previous week. That compares to the 3,300 people who were dying per day from the disease in mid-January.

Hospitalizations have inched up to slightly more than 13,000.

Overall, the United States has reported more than 33 million COVID-19 cases since the pandemic began. COVID-19-related deaths in the United States have now surpassed 606,000.

Experts say they’re concerned about the recent uptick in COVID-19 cases, especially in areas with low vaccination rates.

“I’m very concerned about the increase in the daily average for new COVID-19 cases,” Dr. Jamila Taylor, director of healthcare reform and a senior fellow at The Century Foundation, told Healthline.

“It is officially summer and more Americans are traveling and gathering with family and friends. We are also coming out the Memorial Day weekend and Fourth of July, not to mention the increasing dominance of the delta variant. These are all contributing factors,” she said.

Honest, decent, truthful Rev. said...

“The increase in new cases is a result of the highly contagious delta variant spreading among unvaccinated persons and this will continue in communities and neighborhoods where there are concentrations of unvaccinated persons,” added Dr. William Schaffner, an infectious disease expert from Vanderbilt University in Tennessee.

Schaffner noted that the slight increase in COVID-19 hospitalizations is also worrisome.

“Just as the night follows the day, if cases continue to rise, an increase in hospitalizations will follow,” he told Healthline. “The vast majority of patients currently developing COVID infections so severe that they require hospitalization are unvaccinated or are only partially vaccinated. It now is distinctly unusual for a vaccinated person to require hospitalization for a COVID illness.”

Schaffner also said the decrease in COVID-19 deaths may soon change, too.

“Deaths are a ‘lagging indicator,’” he said. “First cases increase, then hospitalizations increase, and deaths increase later. Fortunately, any increase in deaths may be blunted because treatments for severe COVID have improved so much over the past year.”

State numbers
For the week that ended Sunday, 28 states reported increases in COVID-19 cases, compared with 21 states the previous week.

Arkansas had the highest increase with a 101 percent jump.
That was followed by South Carolina with a 60 percent hike
and Kansas with a 58 percent jump.

The top five states in terms of percentage increase of new COVID-19 cases are also among the states with the lowest vaccinations rates:

State New COVID-19 cases Fully vaccin. %
Arkansas 3,325 (101% increase) 34%
South Carolina 1,117 (60% increase) 39%
Kansas 1,211 (58% increase) 42%
Mississippi 1,349 (51% increase) 33%
Louisiana 3,039 (47% increase) 35%

A new CDC study adds to the growing body of real-world evidence (outside of a clinical trial setting) showing that COVID-19 mRNA vaccines authorized by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) protect health care personnel (HCP) against COVID-19. mRNA vaccines (Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna) reduced the risk of getting sick with COVID-19 by 94% among HCP who were fully vaccinated.

https://www.cdc.gov/media/releases/2021/p0514-covid-19-vaccine-effectiveness.html

reducing the risk by 94 % (apparently) is not the same as "mostly correct except to add those getting sick hospitalized and dying are 99.5% unvaccinated"

Comparatively there are currently 11,084 new daily symptomatic cases in partly or fully vaccinated people, an increase of 85% from 5,982 new cases last week (Graph 1). The positivity rate is still much higher in those with just a first dose, compared to those who are double vaccinated (Graph 2).

“A new data analysis identifies clusters of unvaccinated people, most of them in the southern United States, that are vulnerable to surges in Covid-19 cases and could become breeding grounds for even more deadly Covid-19 variants,” CNN reports.

“The five clusters are largely in parts of eight states, starting in the east in Georgia and stretching west to Texas and north to southern Missouri. The clusters also include parts of Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Tennessee, and are made up of mostly smaller counties but also cities such as Montgomery, Alabama; Shreveport, Louisiana; and Amarillo, Texas.”
