The truth about vaccination rates...

It's not a red state, blue state issue folks!

This (like it or not) is mostly racial in reality!

Now I believe that the actual purpose of this article was to show that somehow the distribution of the vaccine is racially biased. Obviously whites are being vaccinated at a higher rate than blacks or hispanics. In some cases there are extreme differences.

But given that the vaccine is readily available at this point (and if it is not, we should blame President Trump Biden) this seems to be a troublesome argument. The vaccine is not just readily available but actually free and there is little reason to believe that the comparative numbers are as much a sign of racism, as it is of urgency.  For whatever reasons, blacks and hispanics are not seemingly wanting to become vaccinated at the same pace as Whites.

If you look at the current rate of infection, the states with the highest percentage of Whites seem to be at or near the bottom of these percentages. While the states with the highest percentage of Blacks seem to be correlate roughly with the higher percentage of infection rates. The Dakotas for instance are some of the reddest states with the highest white population, but are near the lowest as it pertains to new infection rates. That destroys the red state blue state argument right there.

If you remove race from your spreadsheet, the infection and again death rates are much higher in red States..

Using the Dakotas is another example of distortion of the infection and immunization vaccine distribution.

They are two of the whitest states in America !

I'm an example.

If you remove politics from the spreadsheet...

The infection rate is smaller in mostly white states and higher in states with higher percentages of Blacks and Hispanics.

Not sure what you are getting at with the Dakotas.

South Dakota has the 3rd LOWEST infection rate today.
North Dakota has the 16th LOWEST infection rate today.

Either way, the infection rates are a fraction of where they were and we have bigger and better things to worry about. Covid is only a problem now for people who want to continue to politicize it.

Coldheartedtruth Teller said...

Figure 3 shows the percent of the total population who have been vaccinated by race/ethnicity in each of these states and the total across 40 of these states. (North Dakota and New Mexico are excluded from the total due to differences in how they report their data.) It also shows the ratio of vaccination rates for White people compared to those of Black, Hispanic, and Asian people as well as the percentage point difference between vaccination rates for White people and the rates for the other groups.

Overall, across these 40 states, the percent of White people who have received at least one COVID-19 vaccine dose (47%) was roughly 1.4 times higher than the rate for Black people (34%) and 1.2 times higher than the rate for Hispanic people (39%) as of July 6, 2021. White people had a higher vaccination rate compared to Hispanic people in all reporting states, except Virginia, Vermont, Missouri, Louisiana, the District of Columbia, and Tennessee, and a higher rate than Black people in every reporting state, except Oregon, Alaska, and Idaho. However, the size of these differences varied widely across states. For example, White people were over twice as likely to have received a vaccine as Hispanic people in Colorado and South Dakota and had at least a two times higher vaccination rate than Black people in Florida, Iowa, and South Dakota.

I'm not claiming discrimination against blacks or Hispanics, but the truth is that the red States have a higher percentage of infections and deaths than in most of the blue states.

The Republicans have politicized covid-19 pandemic crisis since February 7th when he knew how dangerous and easily transmitted viruses, because he wanted Wall Street happy.

The misinformation is costly.

The right’s reckless anti-vaccine campaign is not mere pandering. It’s fatal.
Opinion by the Editorial Board
July 15 at 12:19 PM PDT
The United States’ vaccination drive is caught in a difficult struggle. Many Americans are resisting the one measure that could save their lives and help the country defeat the pandemic. President Biden has urged a door-to-door drive to persuade as many as possible to take the shot. But just at this delicate moment, conservative politicians and media pundits are fomenting resistance to vaccines. Their words are reckless and irresponsible.

Fox News host Laura Ingraham on a July 7 show played a clip of White House press secretary Jen Psaki outlining Mr. Biden’s plans for the door-to-door campaign. “Going door-to-door?” Ms. Ingraham scoffed. “This is creepy stuff. Someone comes up to your door outside wearing a mask showing up at your house claiming to work for the government asking you personal medical questions. What could possibly go wrong there?” Top-rated Fox News host Tucker Carlson on July 6 bemoaned the effort to vaccinate children. “So, because this disease, the median age in Ohio of death is 80, your 15-year-old needs to have Joe Biden’s health authority show up at your house with a needle. … I honestly think it’s the greatest scandal in my lifetime by far. I thought the Iraq War was — it seems much bigger than that. The idea that you would force people to take medicine they don’t want or need, is there a precedent for that in our lifetimes?” Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Tex.) on Twitter made it sound like a Soviet plot. “When the Biden admin calls for ‘targeted’ ‘door-to-door outreach’ to get people vaccinated, it comes across as a g-man saying: ‘We know you’re unvaccinated, let’s talk, comrade.’” Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) declared, “Biden is going to homes to push shots. Just say NO!”

Mr. Biden is not forcing anyone to be vaccinated. His drive to overcome vaccine hesitancy is necessary and important. These anti-vaccination voices from conservatives are shamelessly stoking paranoia. They are not alone — anti-vaccination campaigners have been at this for some time — but the latest comments on Fox News and social media are amplifying the dangerous message to millions.
By slowing the uptake of lifesaving vaccines, anti-vaccination voices give the delta variant time and space to claim new victims. This is a threat to everyone because it will prolong the pandemic. Infections are on the rise in the United States. A stark scenario is unfolding in southwestern Missouri, where hospitals are beginning to surpass the level of covid-19 patients seen in December 2020. The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported Tuesday that new cases in St. Louis County had skyrocketed 63 percent in the past two weeks. Missouri is among several states with vaccination rates well below the national average. Mississippi has the highest rate.

Across the country, those getting sick and being hospitalized are almost exclusively the unvaccinated. For Fox News and conservative politicians to be frightening people about vaccines with words like “creepy,” “scandal” and the conspiratorial “let’s talk, comrade” is not mere pandering. It can be fatal.

President Biden has made it available to everyone, but you and the Republicans keep saying it is a Democratic hoax.

The American Thinker is in favor of getting rid of the second amendment rights.

So bouncing Biden before 2024 isn't happening.  This may not be a bad thing.  Biden isn't the real threat to the Republic.  The real threat is the network of local politicians who rig elections, national leaders who pay for the rigging, and the Democrat-controlled media who refuse to report the truth to the American people.

Biden doesn't control these people.  They control him.  Bouncing Biden while leaving the network intact doesn't solve the problem.  Dismantling the corrupt network that gave us President Biden is what solves the problem.  (Not that we're letting Joe Biden off the hook.  A republican Congress can release the contents of Hunter Biden's laptop and take other actions to bring old Joe to justice.)

This is exactly what happened when Hitler took control.

The good news is that if you are fully vaccinated, you are protected against severe COVID, hospitalization, and death, and are even protected against the known variants — including the Delta variant — circulating in the country.

If you are not vaccinated, you remain at risk.  And our biggest concern is that we are going to continue to see preventable cases, hospitalizations, and, sadly, deaths among the unvaccinated.

Lastly, I want to reiterate the importance of getting fully vaccinated.  I want to reiterate that people who got the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines are most effective, especially when — against the Delta variant when given as two shots in a series.

Both vaccines are most effective two weeks after the second dose, with each exceeding 90 percent effectiveness against severe disease, hospitalization, and death in real-world studies.  Not completing the series puts those partially vaccinated at risk of illness.

We encourage that people get vaccinated on schedule three or four weeks after your first dose.  But if you are beyond that window, I want to reiterate: There is no bad time to get your second shot.

Do it for yourself, your family, and for your community.  And please do it to protect your young children who, right now, can’t get vaccinated themselves.

With that, I will now turn it over to Dr. Fauci.

DR. FAUCI:  Thank you very much, Dr. Walensky.  I’d like to continue it along the lines that Dr. Walensky had mentioned, but now maybe take a look at it from a global standpoint, if I could have the first slide.

Clearly, the Delta variant is dominant in the world.  If you look at this map of the world, they’re at about 100 countries that have now have the Delta variant that is detected in them in June of — since June in 2020.

Next slide.

If you look at the average daily prevalence of SARS-CoV-2 Delta variant worldwide, if you look at the righthand part of the slide, you see the extraordinary surge in the dominance of this variant worldwide.

And we, as was mentioned in several briefings that we’ve had, are seeing increment in our own country to the point of now having more than 50 percent dominance and, in some areas of the country, greater than 70 percent.

That is the sobering news, but take a look at what’s going on worldwide with hospitalizations.  Although Israel has the same issue with the dominance of the Delta strain, their hospitalizations have dramatically diminished.  And if you look at the far right of the slide, as of just a couple of days ago, they are very low.

In the next slide, we see the UK.  Similar.  A dramatic diminution in hospitalizations.

However, if you look at the trend on the far righthand part of that slide, there’s that uptick, which somehow was reflecting what Dr. Walensky just told you about the slight uptick that we’re seeing in hospitalizations in our own country.

"Economists had expected the preliminary July number to rise to 87 from 85.5.

A big driver of this decline was the unexpectedly strong rise in inflationary pressures as demand for goods and services has surged faster than supplies of products and labor have expanded. Inflation has replaced unemployment as a top concern for consumers.

“Rather than job creation, halting and reversing an accelerating inflation rate has now become a top concern,” Richard Curtin, the survey’s chief economist, said. “Inflation has put added pressure on living standards, especially on lower and middle-income households, and caused postponement of large discretionary purchases.”

has killed more than 120 people, with hundreds more missing, authorities said Friday, as large-scale rescue efforts continue amidst rising water, landslides and power outages.

Shocking images of the devastation in Germany and Belgium showed entire villages underwater, with cars wedged in between collapsed buildings and debris. The Netherlands and Luxembourg have also been affected by the extreme rainfall.
In Germany, at least 105 people have been killed across two western states. In the hard-hit district of Ahrweiler, in the state of Rhineland-Palatinate, authorities told CNN that 1,300 people remained unaccounted for.

"There is no end in sight just yet," Ulrich Sopart, a police spokesman in the city of Koblenz, told CNN. He said that authorities are hopeful that they will be able to revise down the number of missing people as the rescue operation continues and phone lines are restored.

''Our hopes are that some people might have been registered as missing twice or even three times -- if for example a family member, a work colleague or a friend has registered a person as missing," Sopart said.
''Also, [in] some places phone lines are still down and reception is difficult. We do hope that people will get in touch with a relative, work colleague or friend to let them know they are fine," he sai

At least 165,000 people are currently without power in Rhineland-Palatinate and the neighboring state of North Rhine-Westphalia, authorities told CNN.
In North Rhine-Westphalia, where at least 43 people have died, the state's Interior Ministry spokeswoman Katja Heins told CNN: ''The situation remains very dynamic -- we do not know how many people are unaccounted for."
The death toll in Rhineland-Palatinate has risen to at least 62, according to police, who said on Friday that at least 362 people have been injured. The state premier, Malu Dreyer said on Friday that every hour brought bad news. "It is to be feared that the number will rise even further, '' Dreyer said at a news conference, adding: ''We have not yet reached the stage where we can say that situation is easing."
Record rainfall
As rescue efforts continued on Friday, more tragic scenes came to light.
At least nine people at a disabled care facility drowned after being caught in floodwaters. The facility, located in the town of Sinzig, in the Ahrweiler district, became so quickly inundated that the residents -- who had been sleeping -- were unable to escape, despite efforts by caretakers to bring them to safety, according to CNN affiliate NTV.
The states of North Rhine-Westphalia, Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland have been the worst affected by the record rainfall, which authorities have called the heaviest in a century.
''In some areas we have not seen as much rainfall in 100 years," a spokesperson for the German weather service DWD said, adding that in those regions, they have "seen more than double the amount of rainfall," causing flooding and structures to collapse.

GOP Fuels Decline In Confidence in Science
July 16, 2021 at 3:43 pm EDT By Taegan Goddard
A new Gallup poll
finds 64% of U.S. adults say they have “a great deal” or “quite a lot” of confidence in science, compared with 70% when Gallup last measured it more than four decades ago.

Digging deeper, there’s a big difference between the two political parties. Confidence in science among Democrats has risen from 67% in 1975 to 79% today. Among Republicans, confidence in science has fallen from 72% in 1975 to just 45% today.

Confidence in science is falling among Republicans despite the success of the coronavirus vaccines — perhaps the greatest scientific advance of our lifetimes.

The Pandemic Is Only Getting Worse In Missouri
July 16, 2021 at 2:16 pm EDT By Taegan Goddard
Ed Yong
reports on the pandemic in Missouri, where ICUs are filling with more younger patients in their 20s, 30s, and 40s than before, including many with no underlying health problems.

“In part, that’s because elderly people were more likely to get vaccinated, leaving Delta with a younger pool of vulnerable hosts. While experts are still uncertain if Delta is deadlier than the original coronavirus, every physician and nurse whom I spoke to in Missouri told me that the 30- and 40-something COVID-19 patients whom they’re now seeing are much sicker than those they saw last year. Unlike last year, nurses are watching families navigate end-of-life decisions for young people who had no advanced directives or legal documents in place.

“Almost every COVID-19 patient in Springfield’s hospitals is unvaccinated, and the dozen or so exceptions are all either elderly or immunocompromised people.

"The vaccines are working as intended, but the number of people who have refused to get their shots is crushing morale.

"Vaccines were meant to be the end of the pandemic. If people don’t get them, the actual end will look more like Springfield’s present:
a succession of COVID-19 waves that will break unevenly across the country until everyone has either been vaccinated or infected.”

A PRETTY HORRIBLE WAY TO REACH "HERD IMMUNITY," WHEN IT COULD HAVE HAPPENED SO MUCH LESS GRUESOMELY.

People like Scott are killing hundreds of Republicans!

Many experts have argued that, even with Delta, the United States is unlikely to revisit the horrors of last winter. Even now, the country’s hospitalizations are one-seventh as high as they were in mid-January. But national optimism glosses over local reality. For many communities, this year will be worse than last. Springfield’s health-care workers and public-health specialists are experiencing the same ordeals they thought they had left behind. “But it feels worse this time because we’ve seen it before,” Amelia Montgomery, a nurse at CoxHealth, told me. “Walking back into the COVID ICU was demoralizing.”

Those ICUs are also filling with younger patients, in their 20s, 30s, and 40s, including many with no underlying health problems. In part, that’s because elderly people have been more likely to get vaccinated, leaving Delta with a younger pool of vulnerable hosts. While experts are still uncertain if Delta is deadlier than the original coronavirus, every physician and nurse in Missouri whom I spoke with told me that the 30- and 40-something COVID-19 patients they’re now seeing are much sicker than those they saw last year. “That age group did get COVID before, but they didn’t usually end up in the ICU like they are now,” Jonathan Brown, a respiratory therapist at Mercy, told me. Nurses are watching families navigate end-of-life decisions for young people who have no advance directives or other legal documents in place.

Almost every COVID-19 patient in Springfield’s hospitals is unvaccinated, and the dozen or so exceptions are all either elderly or immunocompromised people. The vaccines are working as intended, but the number of people who have refused to get their shots is crushing morale. Vaccines were meant to be the end of the pandemic. If people don’t get them, the actual end will look more like Springfield’s present: a succession of COVID-19 waves that will break unevenly across the country until everyone has either been vaccinated or infected. “You hear post-pandemic a lot,” Frederick said. “We’re clearly not post-pandemic. Mark Milley, was so shaken that then-President Donald Trump and his allies might attempt a coup or take other dangerous or illegal measures after the November election that Milley and other top officials informally planned for different ways to stop Trump, according to excerpts of an upcoming book obtained by CNN.”

That book, I Alone Can Fix It, by Washington Post reporters Carol Leonnig and Philip Rucker, will no doubt be a follow-up hit job to their previous book on Trump. In it, they describe how Milley and the other joint chiefs planned to resign rather than carry out orders from Trump that, of course, never came.

Holy smokes. Where’s Lee Ermey when we need him? Can someone please put some steel in these guys’ spines? Better yet, General Milley, can you please do every red-blooded, patriotic American a favor and resign?

He stopped Trump from becoming the first King of Trumpamerica.

Americans stepped up retail spending in June, offering a boost to the economic recovery as it faces concerns about accelerating inflation.

Retail sales—a measure of purchases at stores, restaurants and online—rose 0.6% last month compared with May, the Commerce Department reported Friday.

The increase beat economists’ expectations but followed a larger than previously estimated decline in May, Friday’s report showed. Spending had slowed in late spring after surging earlier in the year. June’s increase marked a pickup.

America’s Spending Recovery Isn’t UniformAuto Loans Are Getting Off the Beaten TrackDespite Demand, Factories Still Aren’t Humming

High spending totals come amid an increase in inflation, which has reached its highest level in 13 years—and increased consumer worry over higher prices. An index of consumer sentiment released Friday fell in July from the prior month to its lowest level since February, according to a preliminary reading from the University of Michigan, driven in part by consumers’ concerns over inflation.

That sentiment report sent U.S. stocks lower Friday, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average retreating 299.17 points, or 0.9%, and the S&P 500 falling 0.8%.

Economists said higher prices accounted for some of the increase in retail sales last month, but that the spending trend helped support an improving recovery.

With the US experiencing brisk inflation (5.4 per cent in the 12 months ending in June) there is growing talk of an inflation Armageddon if the Federal Reserve falls too far behind the curve. There are real risks. But maybe after a decade of below-target inflation, a few years of it being mildly above target, say 3 per cent, might be positively a good thing. US inflation today is much more like good news than bad. Prices are rising mainly because the US economy is doing vastly better than seemed possible a year ago — thanks to early and aggressive US vaccine procurement, continuing huge macroeconomic support and a surprisingly successful shift to remote work.

The judicial system has castrated you again.

‘A propaganda tool’ for Trump: A second federal judge castigates attorneys who filed a lawsuit challenging the 2020 results
By Rosalind S. Helderman
July 16 at 3:45 PM PDT
Just before Christmas, two Colorado lawyers filed a federal lawsuit on behalf of 160 million American voters, alleging a vast conspiracy to steal the 2020 presidential election by the voting equipment manufacturer Dominion Voting Systems, Facebook, its founder Mark Zuckerberg, his wife Priscilla Chan and elected officials in four states — and asking for $160 billion in damages.
The case was dismissed in April, but now a federal judge is considering disciplining the lawyers for filing a frivolous claim — sharply questioning the duo in a Friday hearing about whether they had allowed themselves to be used as “a propaganda tool” of former president Donald Trump.
“Did that ever occur to you? That, possibly, [you’re] just repeating stuff the president is lying about?” Federal Magistrate Judge N. Reid Neureiter asked the two lawyers, Gary D. Fielder and Ernest John Walker, during a hearing to consider sanctioning them.
The two lawyers argued they had a good-faith belief that the election was stolen and did not trust government officials and others who affirmed that it was secure and that there was not widespread fraud.
It was the second time this week that a judge dressed down lawyers who filed cases alleging fraud in the 2020 election, as the legal system grapples with how to hold accountable those who used the court system to spread falsehoods about the vote.
[‘This is really fantastical’: Federal judge in Michigan presses Trump-allied lawyers on 2020 election fraud claims in sanctions hearing]
On Monday, a federal judge in Michigan spent nearly six hours skeptically questioning a group of nine lawyers, including pro-Trump attorneys Sidney Powell and L. Lin Wood, in a similar hearing to determine whether to discipline the group for filing a lawsuit that sought to overturn President Biden’s win in that state.
Sanctions hearings are pending in other states as well, including Wisconsin, where Gov. Tony Evers (D) has asked a judge to order Trump and his lawyers to pay the state’s legal fees stemming from post-election litigation.
Meanwhile, a committee of judges in New York suspended the law license of former New York mayor Rudolph W. Giuliani, arguing that Trump’s personal lawyer had “communicated demonstrably false and misleading statements” that amounted to an ongoing threat to the public. Giuliani’s lawyers have said they are confident his license will be restored after a hearing.
Legal rules require that attorneys be truthful in court and not clog up the court system with frivolous motions. Lawyers who violate the rules can be required to pay their opponents’ legal fees or can be assessed additional monetary penalties. Judges can also refer them for grievance procedures that can result in disbarment.
In the Colorado hearing on Friday, the judge repeatedly questioned Fielder and Walker about how much independent investigation they conducted before filing a lawsuit filled with unproven allegations about a wide range of individuals.
He noted that at the time, top officials such as Attorney General William P. Barr and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency had publicly stated that there was no evidence of widespread fraud or election-machine hacking that affected the outcome of the election. Those findings, Neureiter suggested, should have been a “red light for you, at least a flashing yellow light” that more investigation was needed before filing the claim.
Both attorneys said they continued to question the legitimacy of the election and would file the case again.
Walker told the judge that it was “ludicrous” to suggest he and Fielder had done no original research before filing. “It’s offensive to me and my co-counsel,” he said. “We took this case seriously.”

More than half of all American voters believe there was cheating in the 2020 election. After seeing all the irregular election behavior on the part of Democrat officials who can blame.

Dershowitz uses the same old reframe that there is not enough evidence exist to prove a sufficient number votes were added or change to change the election.

But that's not the point. Proving it in a court of law is one thing. Proving it in the court of public opinion is quite another.

Scott's new heroes

Two men have been charged in connection to an alleged plot to attack the California Democratic Party's headquarters in Sacramento, the FBI said late Thursday.

Driving the news: Ian Benjamin Rogers and Jarrod Copeland were "prompted by the outcome of the 2020 presidential election" and believed their attack would spark a "movement," federal prosecutors said, according to the Washington Post.

The big picture: Copeland was arrested in Sacramento on Wednesday, per the FBI. Rogers was arrested in January on state illegal firearm charges.

Law enforcement seized 49 firearms, two dozen ammunition boxes containing rounds of ammunition and five pipe bombs during a January search of Rogers' home, according to court documents.According to the indictment, Rogers sent Copeland a text on Jan. 11 saying: "I want to blow up a democrat building bad.""I’m thinking sac office first target," Rogers then wrote, referring to the offices of California Governor Gavin Newsom in Sacramento.

What they're saying: "The FBI’s highest priority has remained preventing terrorist attacks before they occur, including homegrown plots from domestic violent extremists," Craig Fair, special agent in charge of the FBI’s San Francisco Field Office, said in a statement.

"As described in the indictment, Ian Rogers and Jarrod Copeland planned an attack using incendiary devices. The FBI and the Napa County Sheriff’s Office have worked hand-in-hand to uncover this conspiracy and to prevent any loss of life."

'Pandemic of the unvaccinated' burdens busy US hospitalsSome hospitals are reporting record or near-record patient volumes

O’FALLON, Mo. – The COVID-19 comeback across the U.S. is putting pressure on hospitals at a time when some of them are busy just trying to catch up on surgeries and other procedures that were put on hold during the pandemic.

With the highly contagious delta variant spreading rapidly, cases in the U.S. are up around 70% over the last week, hospital admissions have climbed about 36% and deaths rose by 26%, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said Friday.

Some hospitals are reporting record or near-record patient volumes. But even for those that aren't, this round of the pandemic is proving tougher in some ways, hospital and health officials said. Staff members are worn out, and finding traveling nurses to boost their ranks can be tough.

"I really think of it as a war and how long can you stay on the front line," said Dr. Mark Rosenberg, president of the American College of Emergency Physicians. "And how many times do you want to go back for another tour of duty. Eventually you just don’t want to do it."

Also, many hospitals were busy even before the surge began, dealing with a backlog of cancer screenings, operations and other procedures that were put off during the winter surge to free up space and staff members, according to health care leaders.

Key Facts

Election officials in Pennsylvania’s Republican-leaning Tioga and York counties shot down requests by GOP state Sen. Doug Mastriano to turn over election materials including ballots and voting machines, part of an effort to conduct a so-called forensic investigation of Pennsylvania’s 2020 election results.

The predominantly Republican commissioners in the two counties cited recent guidance from Pennsylvania’s secretary of state that directed counties not to comply with Mastriano’s request, saying their voting machines will be decertified if they turn them over and the state will not reimburse their replacement.

North Carolina’s State Board of Elections rejected a call Thursday from the state’s House Freedom Caucus to “access randomly selected voting systems” in the state to inspect them for potential security issues.

The board’s executive director Karen Brinson Bell defended the state’s elections and the safeguards in place to prevent fraud in a letter to lawmakers, quoting federal officials who said allowing access to voting machines “increases the risk of accidental or intentional damage, manipulation, or theft of assets.”

Oklahoma’s elections board rebuffed a request from Republican state Rep. Sean Roberts to audit the state’s elections, which he claimed was necessary based on allegations of election fraud in other states.

Election Board Secretary Paul Ziriax said Tuesday such a review was likely not permissible under state law, and said “the time and expense of a post-election audit is not justified for an election that was conducted more than eight months ago.”

Crucial Quote

“The State Board has received no credible evidence that the certified results are not accurate, and elected officials from both sides of the aisle have stated that the 2020 general election in North Carolina was conducted fairly,” Brinson Bell wrote in her letter to North Carolina Republicans striking down their request. “We will not allow misinformation about voting systems or any other aspect of elections to dictate our priorities in administering elections.”

Big Number

$2.8 million. That’s how much Maricopa County, Arizona, will spend to replace its voting machines after they were turned over to private companies for their election audit, suggesting the hefty price tag that would come with complying with Republicans’ election investigation requests. Philadelphia county commissioner Al Schmidt told Reuters the county—which also received a request from Mastriano for election materials—would likely have to pay approximately $40 million in total to replace their election equipment, and Tioga County projected to the outlet their costs would be “hundreds of thousands of dollars.”That auditors believe that James is a pedophile who eats children.

The chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff is straight out of Dr. Strangelove

By Andrea Widburg

In Stanley Kubrick's 1964 black comedy Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb, the engine for the plot is Brigadier General Jack D. Ripper, a United States Air Force general, who goes completely off his rocker and launches a nuclear weapon at the Soviet Union.  We may have our own, real-life General Ripper in the form of General Mark Milley, a product of the Ivy League and now chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.  However, unlike General Ripper, who had the Russkies in his sights, General Milley is pretty sure that you are the enemy.

Milley, 63, is not a graduate of America's military academies.  Instead, he's an Ivy League product, having attended Princeton and Columbia.  Apparently, at least as to Milley, the rot had already started to set in when he attended those institutions.

For many of us, Milley entered our consciousness on June 23, when he insisted that West Pointers should study Critical Race Theory and that he, especially, wanted to understand "White rage."  At that moment, when he openly embraced CRT, complete with its claims about White supremacy, systemic racism, and White privilege, Milley imposed upon himself an obligation immediately to resign from his position and to insist that someone Black — anyone Black — take his place.  Until Milley walks away from his White privileged position, he's a very dangerous, virtue-signaling windbag.

But that's not all Milley is.  It's unclear why President Trump, in 2018, nominated Milley to serve as chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.  It was probably yet another bad piece of advice that Trump, who was wise to how the real world works but utterly naïve about Washington, received from those "in the know" who were trying to destroy him.  As it turned out, Milley was at the top of the list of those who despised Trump and all 75–80 million of his supporters, and desperately wanted to see them destroyed.

Arizona county election officials have identified fewer than 200 cases of potential voter fraud out of more than 3 million ballots cast in last year’s presidential election, undercutting former President Trump’s claims of a stolen election as his allies continue a disputed ballot review in the state’s most populous county.

The 182 cases represent instances in which problems were clear enough that officials referred them to investigators for further review. So far, only four cases have led to charges, including those identified in a separate state investigation. No one has been convicted. No person’s vote was counted twice.

While it’s possible more cases could emerge, the numbers illustrate the implausibility of Trump’s claims that fraud and irregularities in Arizona cost him the state’s electorate votes. In final, certified and audited results, Biden won 10,400 more votes than Trump out of 3.4 million cast.

AP’s findings align with previous studies showing voter fraud is rare. Numerous safeguards are built into the system to not only prevent fraud from happening but to detect it when it does.

“The fact of the matter is that election officials across the state are highly invested in helping to ensure the integrity of our elections and the public’s confidence in them,” said Arizona Secretary of State Katie Hobbs, a Democrat. “And part of that entails taking potential voter fraud seriously.”

Arizona’s potential cases also illustrate another reality: Voter fraud is often bipartisan. Of the four Arizona cases that have resulted in criminal charges, two involved Democratic voters and two involved Republicans.

AP’s review supports statements made by many state and local elections officials — and even some Republican county officials and GOP Gov. Doug Ducey — that Arizona’s presidential election was secure and its results valid.

And still, Arizona’s GOP-led state Senate has for months been conducting what it describes as a “forensic audit” of results in Phoenix’s Maricopa County. The effort has been discredited by election experts and has faced bipartisan criticism, but some Republicans, including Trump, have suggested it will uncover evidence of widespread fraud.

“This is not a massive issue,” said Adrian Fontes, a Democrat who oversaw the Maricopa County election office during the 2020 election and lost his reelection bid. “It is a lie that has developed over time. It’s been fed by conspiracy theorists.”

“A wave of opposition to Covid vaccines has risen within the Republican Party, as conservative news outlets produce a steady diet of misinformation about vaccines and some G.O.P. lawmakers invite anti-vaccination conspiracy theorists to testify in statehouses and Congress. With very little resistance from party leaders, these Republican efforts have elevated falsehoods and doubts about vaccinations from the fringes of American life to the center of our political conversation.

“It’s a pattern that was seen throughout the Trump administration:
Rather than rebuke conspiratorial thinking and inaccuracies when they begin spreading among their party’s base, many Republicans tolerate extremist misinformation.”

Democrats See Edge in Early Senate Map
July 17, 2021 at 6:45 am EDT By Taegan Goddard 22 Comments

“Six months into the Biden administration, Senate Democrats are expressing a cautious optimism that the party can keep control of the chamber in the 2022 midterm elections, enjoying large fund-raising hauls in marquee races as they plot to exploit Republican retirements in key battlegrounds and a divisive series of unsettled G.O.P. primaries,” the New York Times reports.

“Four Senate Democratic incumbents are up for re-election in swing states next year — making them prime targets for Republican gains. But in none of those four states — New Hampshire, Nevada, Arizona and Georgia — has a dominant Republican candidate emerged to consolidate support from the party’s divergent wings.”

Finally -

A federal judge in Texas has ruled that former President Obama violated federal statute when he unilaterally implemented the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program that has provided quasi-amnesty to hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens since 2012.

On Friday, Judge Andrew Hanen ordered President Joe Biden’s administration to effectively shut down the DACA program by blocking the federal government from allowing new applicants, illegal aliens who have not previously been enrolled, onto the program’s rolls.

“DHS violated the [Administrative Procedure Act] with the creation DACA and its continued operation … the DACA Memorandum and the DACA program that it created are hereby vacated and remanded to DHS for further consideration, as requested,” Hanen writes.

“DHS … is hereby enjoined from approving any new DACA applications and granting the attendant status,” Hanen continues.

There is no mention anywhere in Biden's Domestic Terrorism Strategy of the April 2 Capitol attack—which did in fact kill an officer—presumably because the perpetrator was a follower of Louis Farrakhan, the leader of the Nation of Islam.

Reminder that the group responsible for the only person who died at the capitol this year from domestic terrorism was excluded from Biden's FBI report

Trump Says Mark Milley Should Be Impeached

July 16, 2021 at 10:35 pm EDT By Taegan Goddard
Former President Donald Trump
said in a statement that if General Mark Milley said what was reported — that he felt Trump might stage a coup after he lost the election— “perhaps he should be impeached, or court-martialed and tried.”

Taegan Goddard comments:
Of course, generals are not impeached, unlike Trump, who was impeached twice.

US Attorney in Delaware kept Hunter Biden investigation secret during 2020 campaign. Time had come to issue subpoenas, seek search warrants. Didn't do it. From @politico: 'Hunter Biden’s prosecutor rejected moves that would have revealed probe earlier.' https://politico.com/news/2021/07/16/hunter-biden-probe-prosecutor-499782

And Joe knew about this when he lied to the American people on a situation which should have disqualified him from even running.

Vienna Is the New Havana Syndrome Hot Spot
July 17, 2021 at 7:28 am EDT By Taegan Goddard 7 Comments

“Since Joe Biden took office, about two dozen U.S. intelligence officers, diplomats, and other government officials in Vienna have reported experiencing mysterious afflictions similar to the Havana Syndrome,” the New Yorker reports.

“U.S. officials say the number of possible new cases in the Austrian capital—long a nexus of U.S. and Russian espionage—is now greater than the number reported by officials in any city except for Havana itself, where the first cases were reported.”

Friends,

You’re hearing a lot about inflation these days. Don’t buy it. Every time the economy gets a bit of wind in its sails and workers get a little wage increase, conservatives scream about inflation and price increases.

In reality, there’s no inflation. The economy still has huge room to grow without pushing up prices. We’re still 7 million jobs short of where we were in January 2020. Retail and office space is empty. Factories aren’t near capacity.

In addition, companies can easily outsource extra production they need. Meanwhile, unions are so weak as to negate the possibility of wage-price inflation.

The price increases we’re witnessing now are because of supply bottlenecks, as supply catches up with pent-up demand.

To the extent we need to worry about anything, it’s industrial concentration. Too many US industries are dominated by a handful of corporations, which have the ability to push prices higher. That requires antitrust enforcement.

But inflation itself – structural, accelerating price increases – is a total mythology.

Don’t fall for the scare-mongering.

Former Trump official says the GOP is the 'number 1 national security threat' to the US, bigger than ISIS or Russia
John Haltiwanger
Fri, July 16, 2021, 2:14 PM
An ex-Trump official said the GOP is the top national security threat to the US.

"Unless my Party reforms, its extremist elements represent the leading threat to our democracy," he said.

Democracy scholars have issued similar warnings about the GOP, particularly since January 6.

See more stories on Insider's business page.

A former Trump administration official on Thursday said the Republican party is the top national security threat to the US, as the party's rank-and-file lawmakers continue to support former President Donald Trump's baseless claims of election fraud that incited the Jan. 6 insurrection and use it as a rationale to impose voting restrictions.

"I've spent my whole career not as a political operative. I've never worked on a campaign in my life other than campaigning against Trump. I'm a national security guy. I've worked in national security against ISIS, al Qaeda and Russia," Miles Taylor, a former Homeland Security official, said in an appearance on MSNBC's "The Reid Out."

A stunt that may cost in the polls since there is no Trump at the top of the ticket.

Make American First LMAO

RefusE to allow America to enter into the global warming canard agreement, which simply allows China and other competitors to do business as usual while it requires onerous regulations on American companies so that we cannot compete on a worldwide scale.  The ruse of the global warming agreement is meant to destroy American industry while it allows our competition, mainly China, to become the leader of the world economically, politically, and eventually militarily.

- Require accountability, responsibility, and limits on Dr. Fauci, because Germany showed us in the 1930s what happens when there are doctors without limits, without  accountability,  and with no guidelines.

- Require the Biden administration's dictatorial authoritative rule to end so that America does not make Animal Farm or 1984 look like current events.  Biden is bringing those totalitarian novels to life in real time.  Watching Biden's authoritarian rule (forced vaccines, political prisoners, closing of schools and churches, book-banning, denial of First and Second Amendments, monitoring personal text messages critical about COVID or vaccines, spying on domestic political opponents and journalists) makes those novels read like the front page of the morning paper.

- Petition the Deep State police and the Biden administration to release the over 400 political prisoners from the January 6 MAGA rally.  The 400-plus political prisoners are mostly in jail for the simple crime of trespassing.  These modern-day Solzhenitsyns are kept in solitary confinement 23 of 24 hours a day.  This message the Progressive regime is not directed to the inmates, but to MAGA nation, warning them never to do this again.  Never allow an outsider to be president again.  China and Russia nod with approval to Biden.

Coldheartedtruth Teller said...

- Refuse to go along with Biden's college debt cancelation scheme.  This does not really cancel the students' debt, but the federal government assumes the debt, which will be paid for by the common taxpayers.  So this would mean the average mom and dad who could not afford to send their own kids to college end up assuming the debt (through taxes), of someone else's child who did go to college.  Seems very, very elitist and wrong-minded.

- Refuse to go along with AOC's proposal of the Green New Deal.  This Green New Deal increases unemployment, raises inflation, and makes American citizens and companies less competitive on the world stage.  This is putting America last, not first.

This is what putting America First looks like.  These are the values, ideas, and morals that drive the America First movement.  President Trump is the unashamed leader of this movement.  But the ideas have always been here since our birth as a nation.  It just took President Trump to step up, remind us,  and lead.  And he did, without fear.

The Progressives, especially the globalists within the Progressives, hate America First.  Some Progressives will argue that it is not a big deal for America to no longer be the leader on the world stage.  That it is not a problem that America will no longer lead on worldwide efforts.  Progressives might want to ask Egypt, Italy, Turkey, and Great Britain how they feel about no longer dominating the world as the world's leader.  Ask those countries how they now feel about playing "second fiddle."  This America First movement destroys Progressives' plans of a New World Order that forces America to become  a minor contributor and no longer the world leader.

I can maybe see why the wealthy elites in California, New York, New Jersey, Chicago, and D.C. want this globalization.  But I just cannot see why the voters of Arizona, Georgia, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin went along with this globalist agenda, against the America First movement.  Why would these states go against their own interest?  Oh, wait a minute — I don't think the voters of Arizona, Georgia, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin actually did go against the America First movement.  Possibly the legal votes of these states did continue to believe in America First.

Probably most of the voters in America still do believe in America First.  I think we will know this for sure by the end of the summer.  Maybe by Labor Day weekend.  Hopefully.

If you’re going to stand with the Cuban people in their fight for freedom, you must also stand with the January 6 patriots who were also protesting against communism.
