Two more Texas Democrats test positive for Covid

Look for the left to change the narrative to false positives or something like that!

Already the excuse making is happening here. Some are saying that the new testing is ultrasensitive and prone to false positives. Others are just suggesting that the vaccine will mitigate the affects of Covid as much as stop you from getting it. Either way, this is got to be a complete nightmare, not just for the Texas Democrats, but for Democrats in general.

Look for democrats to continue to keep the fear alive, and watch them attempt to keep it going all the way to the mid-terms, using it as an excuse to re-impose lockdowns.

They're already testing the waters with the re-imposition of mask mandates.

The left absolutely requires this narrative to continue to hide the attempted passage of their radical agenda.

I am vaccinated and do not advocate that people not get vaccinated. Your continued insistence on lying about that continues to amaze. It's also little more than red herring.

The issue is still about this horrible national embarrassment regarding the Texas Democrats (five of them so far) contracting Covid after riding in a plane together without masking....

The problem for the Democrats is that they are trying to control the narrative about the Delta variant by blaming Republicans and the unvaccinated.

Then five ELECTED DEMOCRATIC OFFICIALS who are FULLY VACCINATED make the headline news by coming down with Covid.

That couldn't have been more ironic or more a matter of karma.

These people are still not offering a solution. They are simply creating another narrative for you to follow. But that narrative got hit head on by a Private Jet out of Texas!

PBS
As more Americans get vaccinated, 41% of Republicans still refuse COVID-19 shots
Health May 17, 2021 5:00 AM EDT

As fewer people die from the coronavirus, the pace of vaccinations is stalling, and four out of 10 Republicans say they do not plan to get a vaccine, according to the latest PBS NewsHour/NPR/Marist poll.

On Thursday, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said people who are fully vaccinated against the coronavirus no longer need to mask up in most situations. But how state and local governments, along with individual businesses, interpret that guidance remains to be seen, and some adults who are vaccinated may be uneasy about adopting the new restrictions.

The worst-case scenario is that unvaccinated people could feel emboldened to go maskless, placing themselves and others at risk of infection, said Dr. Megan Ranney, an emergency physician and associate dean of strategy and innovation at the Brown University School of Public Health.

“That’s a tightrope to walk in terms of messaging,” Ranney said.

The public continues to regard the Biden administration’s COVID-19 response far more favorably than that of President Donald Trump, according to this latest poll, with 66 percent of U.S. adults supporting Biden’s plan to help the country gain control over the virus, up 4 percentage points since March 11.

Trump’s highest approval rating for his handling of the pandemic was 44 percent in March 2020. By the time Trump left office, 39 percent supported his pandemic response.

Entering office during the pandemic, Biden and his team have taken steps to connect people with shots, recruiting vaccinators, arranging transportation, setting up more mass vaccination sites and accelerating the pace of making vaccines available.

How willing are Americans to get vaccinated against COVID-19?
The nation’s vaccine rollout continues with roughly six out of 10 U.S. adults having received at least one dose to prevent COVID-19 infection, according to the poll. Many vaccination sites are reporting a slowdown in demand, and public health officials are encouraging walk-ins to avoid wasting temperature-sensitive vaccine doses.

So far, 59 percent of U.S. adults said they have gotten vaccinated, and another 14 percent say they plan to, according to this latest poll. But 24 percent do not plan to get vaccinated. Since August 2020, the percentage of those who do not want to get immunized against COVID-19 has declined by only 9 points — not as much of a change as experts hoped. That concerns public health experts because getting vaccinated is no longer an abstract concept in the U.S. In August, no vaccine had been authorized for use against COVID-19. But today, three different vaccines are widely available in the U.S. and hundreds of millions of Americans have either been vaccinated or know someone who has.

Honest, decent, truthful Rev. said...

Earlier during the nation’s vaccine rollout, issues with access, such as lack of transportation or Internet access to sign up for appointments, raised concerns about the logistical hurdles separating the public from much-needed protection against the virus. But at this point in the pandemic, politics may be a greater predictor of one’s inclination to get vaccinated. Republicans were less likely to say they’ve already been vaccinated, at 45 percent, and more likely to say they do not plan to get vaccinated, at 41 percent. Just 4 percent of Democrats and 27 percent of independent voters said they do not plan to get vaccinated, according to this latest poll.

Several states and cities are trying creative ways to motivate people to get their shots. On April 27, West Virginia Gov. Jim Justice offered a $100 savings bond to each newly vaccinated person between the age of 16 and 35. Weeks later, Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine said his state would use federal COVID-19 relief funds to set up a lottery where each week one vaccinated person would win $1 million. Newly vaccinated people can drink free beer in Washington, D.C., eat free hot dogs at Coney Island, and enjoy a free pound of crawfish in New Orleans. And the Biden administration has partnered with Lyft and Uber to give people free rides to vaccination sites.

Gimmicky promotions aside, the stakes remain high for getting the country closer to herd immunity against the coronavirus. Nearly 581,000 people in the U.S. have died from the virus. During a briefing with reporters, Andy Slavitt, who serves as senior advisor for the White House COVID-19 Task Force, said that coronavirus deaths “are at the lowest point since April 2020.”

I simply stated that Denny was wrong on fact. The CDC has not recommended that no masks be worn during air-travel and pointed out that both the Airport and Delta (and other airlines) are requiring masks.

I would think if Delta airlines required masking... that perhaps the Texas Democrats should have played by the same rules (even if it was a private jet and their own decision).

When politicians who back up the mask wearing requirements for everyone else refuse to personally go along with what they advocate publicly, then that is an optics problem and a matter of hypocrisy.

Btw... get vaccinated or don't.

There is a wide range of opinions in-between working to discourage people from wearing masks to "full throttle support".

You are aware of the whole relativity thing and that there are more than just the two extremes? Or am I not allowed to have an opinion that doesn't demand that I shove my opinion down someone else's throat?

In fact, using your logic... that they got around the regulations by taking a private jet and a private terminal... because ultimately it was their choice whether or not to wear a mask.

U.S. health officials say Americans shouldn’t wear face masks to prevent coronavirus — here are 3 other reasons not to wear them

Published: March 2, 2020
https://www.marketwatch.com/story/the-cdc-says-americans-dont-have-to-wear-facemasks-because-of-coronavirus-2020-01-30

Though health officials have warned Americans to prepare for the spread of the novel coronavirus in the U.S., people shouldn’t wear face masks to prevent the spread of the infectious illness, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and the U.S. surgeon general.

But that’s not the only reason Americans may want to think twice about using masks, one expert told MarketWatch.

Most people don’t know how to use face masks correctly, and a rush to buy masks could prevent the people who need them most — health care providers — from getting them, said Dr. Amesh Adalja, a scholar at the Center for Health Security at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.

In fact the U.S. surgeon general recently urged the public to “STOP BUYING MASKS!” “They are NOT effective in preventing general public from catching #Coronavirus, but if healthcare providers can’t get them to care for sick patients, it puts them and our communities at risk!,” wrote Surgeon General Jerome Adams on Twitter.

The CDC said last month it doesn’t recommend people use face masks, making the announcement on the same day that first case of person-to-person transmission of coronavirus was reported in the U.S. The CDC recommendation on masks stands, a spokesman told MarketWatch Wednesday, even with the first reported case of a COVID-19 infection in an individual in California who had not been to China or been exposed to a person diagnosed with the virus.

“The virus is not spreading in the general community,” Dr. Nancy Messonnier, director of the Center for the National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases, said in a Jan. 30 briefing. “We don’t routinely recommend the use of face masks by the public to prevent respiratory illness. And we certainly are not recommending that at this time for this new virus.”

The Biden administration has “high confidence” that Chinese cyber criminals hacked into Microsoft email servers “with the Ministry of State Security’s knowledge,” a senior administration official said. | Evan Vucci/AP Photo

By ERIC GELLER

Updated: 07/19/2021 09:37 AM EDT

The Biden administration and U.S. allies on Monday blamed the Chinese government for a sprawling web of cyberattacks, including a blizzard of hacks into Microsoft email servers in March and intrusions for which Beijing partnered with cyber criminals.

The announcement by the U.S., the European Union, NATO and five close allies comes as the Biden administration attempts to establish a global consensus on limitations around cyberattacks, including discouraging hacks of critical infrastructure and breaches of businesses designed to extort money or steal trade secrets.

In a separate action, the Justice Department charged four Chinese nationals, three of them government agents, with engaging in a long-running hacking campaign aimed at stealing Ebola vaccine research, autonomous vehicle technology and other intellectual property from dozens of companies in the U.S. and other countries.

That operation involved creative means of exfiltrating stolen data, including by hiding it in a photo of then-President Donald Trump through a process called steganography.

Monday’s statements underscore how China’s aggressive digital army continues to wreak havoc while public attention largely focuses on the cyber threat from Russia.

Intelligence officials have concluded that China’s Ministry of State Security “uses criminal contract hackers to conduct unsanctioned cyber operations globally, including for their own personal profit,” a senior administration official told reporters on Sunday.

In some cases, the official said, Chinese hackers planted software on victims’ computers that silently generated units of cryptocurrency, a process known as mining. In other cases, cyber criminals working for Beijing have infected businesses with ransomware and demanded multimillion-dollar ransom payments, according to the official, who spoke anonymously per U.S. government policy.

The Chinese is our biggest opponent today and for decades ahead.

The Biden administration has just restored our first amendment rights.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Attorney General Merrick Garland on Monday formally prohibited federal prosecutors from seizing the records of journalists in leak investigations, with limited exceptions, reversing years of department policy.

The new policy largely codifies the commitment Garland made in June, when he said the Justice Department would abandon the practice of seizing reporters' records in leak investigations. It aims to resolve a politically thorny issue that has long vexed Justice Department prosecutors trying to weigh the media's First Amendment rights against government's desire to protect classified information.

But the memo makes clear that federal prosecutors can, in some cases, seize journalists' records, including if the reporters are suspected of working for agents of a foreign power or terrorist organizations. There is also an exception for situations with imminent risks, like kidnappings or crimes against children.

Garland was moved to act following an outcry over revelations that the department during the Trump administration had obtained records belonging to journalists at The Washington Post, CNN and The New York Times as part of investigations into who had disclosed government secrets related to the Russia investigation and other national security matters.

Others whose records were obtained were members of Congress and their staffers and former White House counsel Don McGahn.

The Trump administration wanted to prosecute people who leaked negative information about Trump.

Even Bill Barr refused to prosecute reporters.

It's all how you cherry pick the data. I see many using multiple polls to try to piece together a question that was clearly asked in this poll.

“A look at the data reveals that the vaccine hesitant group, however, are not big Trump lovers. They’re actually likely not to be Republican. Instead, many of them are people who are detached from the political process and didn’t vote for either major candidate in 2020,” CNN reported. “The most recent Kaiser poll helps illustrate that the vaccine hesitant group doesn’t really lean Republican. Just 20% of the group called themselves Republican with an additional 19% being independents who leaned Republican. The clear majority (61%) were not Republicans (41% said they were Democrats or Democratic leaning independents and 20% were either pure independents or undesignated).”

Those that have said they won’t get the vaccine, however, are 55% Republican or right-leaning independents. Further, a large percentage of African Americans have also said they are hesitant to get the vaccine, another group that is not known for being Republican.

So when you look at the overall picture of who has not actually been vaccinated yet, it would appear that there is probably less than a 55-45 split between people who are Republican or lean that way versus those who are Democrat or lean that way.

I would offer that there are a variety of reasons to be believe that many of those who are not vaccinated or don't plan to be are fairly detached from politics. I would also offer that many people who claim to be "conservative" and not want to get the vaccine are likely aligned with Libertarians more than Republicans. Just in the spirit of freedom.

“We asked voters (in a Tennessee district Trump won easily) a battery of questions to see if there were any disqualifying issues. For example, 15% of voters said that there was no chance that they would consider a candidate who supported mandatory background checks.

You have had the chance to define actions from the left as an insurrection.

District Judge Randolph Moss ultimately sentenced Hodgkins to 8 months in prison and 24 months of supervised release. While he applauded Hodgkins for being one of the first to plead guilty and for doing community service before sentencing, Moss said he had "to deter others from ever, ever, ever " attempting an attack akin to the January 6 siege.

He reduced the sentence because he did the right thing!

Scott will call him a RINO!

Trump Tells Dinner Pals He’s Running In 2024
July 19, 2021 at 1:34 pm EDT By Taegan Goddard
Former President Donald Trump
“has told at least three people he’s dined with in recent months that he plans to run in 2024,” Rolling Stone reports.

Said one former RNC official:
“I have three friends who’ve had dinner with him in the last couple of months. All three reported that his current plans are to run for president in 2024. Now, whether he does or not is a different issue. We’ve still got three years to go. But he’s telling people that.

“The ex-RNC official says the first two dinners took place in late spring. But the third dinner happened in the last two weeks, the official said.
The first two dinner companions came away from their conversations convinced Trump was serious and he’s running…
The third said he left the dinner ‘not 100% sure Trump wants to run but he likes being in the conversation, he wants to freeze the field, and he wants his name out there.'”

Trump is blabbing about his 2024 plans to his dinner buddies: report

John Wright

July 19, 2021

Former president Donald Trump plans to run for president again in 2024, according to his dinner buddies and a former adviser.

Rolling Stone reported Monday that Trump has told at least three people he's dined with in recent months that he plans to run.

"I have three friends who've had dinner with him in the last couple of months," a former senior official at the Republican National Committee told the magazine. "All three reported that his current plans are to run for president in 2024. Now, whether he does or not is a different issue. We've still got three years to go. But he's telling people that."

The report was confirmed by a former Trump adviser who speaks regularly with members of the former president's inner circle. The former adviser said Trump began to give indications in private in May that he was leaning toward running again.

"All the people I talk to who deal with him directly think as of now he is running," the former adviser said.

Trump has not said publicly whether he plans to run, but that could be because a formal announcement would trigger campaign-finance laws. In another sign he plans to run, Trump's Save America PAC reportedly has $85 million on hand.

"There are, of course, plenty of reasons why he won't end up running: his old age, say, or the potential legal jeopardy he faces through his now-indicted company. But if the last six years have taught us anything, what fuels him is the attention of the media and adulation of his supporters," Rolling Stone's Andy Kroll reports. "Post-presidency and on a social-media timeout, he's lost his platform and most of his audience. A third run for president would go a long way toward bringing it all back."

Will fear and anger work again???

Since the reality of it suggests that even a successful attempt to prevent the certification would not have stopped Joe Biden from being sworn in as President. More to the point, even had they prevented the certification it would not have put those rioters "in charge" of the Government. The idea of that sort of insurrection is to take over control.

Yeah, I feel very comfortable saying that a bunch of unarmed people wandering around in the Capitol building has absolutely zero chance of "overthrowing the government". Not 1%. Not 0.01%. Literally 0.00000%

Philip Anderson: Capitol Police Killed Rosanne Boyland on Jan. 6 – “She Was Holding My Hand When She Died” (AUDIO)

Trump supporter and activist Philip Anderson says the Capitol Police killed Rosanne Boyland. He knows this because he was next to her when she died. He was holding her hand. And Philip nearly died himself.
Activist Philip Anderson spoke with The Gateway Pundit on the Jan. 6 protests at the US Capitol and how the Capitol police murdered Rosanne Boyland and nearly took his life too.

This is an amazing eyewitness report that has been ignored by the fake news media because it does not fit their narrative. A black Trump supporter was gassed with clouds of pepper spray, pushed down, and then nearly trampled to death as police officers continued to push people on a pile outside the US Capitol.

Anderson describes how Rosanne Boyland was the first woman killed by Capitol police that day. Ashli Babbitt was the second woman killed by police.

This photo shows Philip Anderson nearly unconscious being dragged away by Trump supporters after being crushed under a pile on Jan. 6. Roseanne Boylan was next to him when she died.

The Gateway Pundit spoke with Philip Anderson on Saturday night — six months after the Jan. 6 protests and rally.

Philip Anderson fell and was being smothered as police officers continued to push Trump supporters on top of him. Philip told The Gateway Pundit how he was holding Rosanne’s hand when she died.

Philip posted this on social media before his account was taken down.

The fact is that since nobody is "charged" with insurrection, the legal definition of the term is either irrelevant (or you are suggesting that you know more than the prosecutors as to what constitutes it).

That means that you are using the term insurrection from a purely non-legal term. Which then suggests that "any" attempts to overthrow authority or government (at any level) are insurrections.

Given that definition, why do you suggest that the autonomous zone in Seattle, where they took over a local police station (law enforcement being the definition of authority), was not considered an insurrecion?

First, many of us including then-President Trump were urging people to vote on election day to prevent our ballots being intentionally lost or destroyed.  This was also done to deny the cheaters a head start in knowing how much fraud they had to produce to steal the Election.

The fraudulent, error filled ballots were designed to do two things:

1. Because of alignment errors, a legitimate vote for Trump would be scanned as a vote for Biden

2. Because Maricopa county told people to use & handed out sharpies & because the paper wasnt thick enough, the sharpie bled through. This invalidated the ballot & it had to be duplicated. And these duplicates were nearly 100% cast for Biden.

This is especially egregious because the vast majority of all election day voters were Trump voters.

Sharpies are a favorite bullhorn of bullshit LMAO

Yet no one has been charged with insurrection.

Curious that.

If you'd like to be taken seriously on this topic you should be able to provide at least one defendant charged with insurrection.

You remain a mentally ill laughingstock, alky.

Carry on.

If the law in Washington has Insurrection, they may have been changed.

You really don't get it Roger...

Insurrection is not just a "legal term".
The "legal" definition does not apply, because it's not being charged.

So obviously you are using the term in a non-legal dictionary definition of the word. If you are not and insist on using it purely as a legal term, then by fact of nobody being charged with it, you are just flat out wrong.

You twist yourself into circles here Rog.

Better if you just admitted that by definition, the idea of citizens taking over a police station, blocking off sections of a city with barricades, not allowing US or Washington state authorities to enter, and guarding the perimeter with arms...

Declaring yourself autonomous and starting to upstart your own government and law enforcement in place of the authority you drove out...

Just might match the dictionary definition of an insurrection.

it wouldn't hurt your credibility just to admit the truth?

That Joe Biden would not have become President and that the Rioters would be allowed to take over and install their own President?

I mean seriously, Reverend?

Is this what you actually believe. That if the count had to be delayed that Trump would have ended up staying in office and Biden would have been SOL?

This is the Real Story Behind Why the Capitol Building Was Evacuated on Jan. 6

The January 6th uprising at the capitol building during the convening of the Electoral College is one of the most mythologized events in U.S. history, despite it now only being half a year old.

One of the most politically impactful impressions of the Jan. 6 siege is the extreme danger presumably posed to the nation’s lawmakers. After all, these were assuredly Trump supporters upset about the 2020 election. What other reason would they storm the capitol building than to overturn the results?

Yet, there are numerous false assumptions that betray the mainstream narrative about the Capitol riots. The real crack in the narrative begins with this: The Capitol building was evacuated because of the bomb threat, not because of the protesters outside.

How do we know this? Because former Capitol Police Chief Steven Sund testified to it earlier this year, although the major news media appears to have missed or ignored this salient fact.

“The discovery of a pipe bomb outside the Republican National Committee headquarters in Washington on Jan. 6 prompted police to evacuate two congressional buildings, not, as was believed, the attack on the U.S. Capitol,” as the Washington Examiner reported in February.

“U.S. Capitol Police learned of the discovery of two pipe bombs on Capitol Hill around the same time, just before 1 p.m. ET that Wednesday,” the report continued. “Capitol Police responded to one bomb discovered by an RNC staff member at the organization’s office, just a few blocks from the Capitol. Metropolitan Police Department officers responded to a second pipe bomb that was spotted outside the nearby Democratic National Committee headquarters. Each department sent officers to respond, hurting the Capitol Police’s ability to secure the Capitol since MPD was called to the Capitol minutes after the bombs were discovered.”

“That resulted in the evacuation of two congressional buildings, the Cannon House Office Building, as well as one of the Library of Congress buildings. So it took extensive resources,”
former Capitol Police Chief Steven Sund testified at a Senate hearing.

The fascinating thing about the RNC and DNC pipe bomb attempts is the FBI’s seeming lack of interest in actually apprehending whomever staged them. While the FBI has been issuing public calls for assistance with locating MAGA grandmas and soccer moms who were at the capitol on Jan. 6, it has been reluctant to release video of a suspect that has been tied to the attempted pipe bombing.

FBI Director Christopher Wray was called to account for his agency’s handling of the Capitol riot investigation in June. Rep. Paul Gosar (R-AZ) asked Director Wray to verify that no one at the event has been charged with “insurrection.”

C.H. Truth said...

Roger...

You just said they were not insurrectionists.

You admit that nobody is being charged with an insurrection.

Then you turn around and demand that there was an insurrection which would make them all insurrectionists?

What the hell is wrong with you?

How does that make any sense in your head?

JamesNewLeaf's Fucking Daddy said...

We know there was a ‘stand down’ order effectively issued that prevented the Capitol Police and the National Guard from full responding as if it were indeed a threat to the lives of the Congress members. The Capitol Police’s Inspector General testified in April on the matter, but refused to give the name of the official who issued it. We also know, as far as publicly available charging documents are concerned, that no one had a firearm inside the Capitol building.

We know these extremists were not all ‘Trump supporters’. As a Reuters report stated about the Boogaloo Bois, one of the extremist groups at the Capitol: “While most ‘boogaloos’ are libertarians who largely oppose Trump, Dunn said the group embraced the moment to strike against the government.” Furthermore, the purported “far right” group has allied itself with the “far left” group Black Lives Matter. We also know that there were some Antifa supporters in the mob, such as John Earle Sullivan, the filmer of Ashli Babbitt’s shooter.

It appears that the FBI’s interest in withholding at least 14,000 hours of Capitol riots footage, including video of the RNC and DNC pipe bomb suspect, is to keep the mainstream media’s “useful myths” about January 6 alive. What else could explain the FBI’s lack of transparency?

Hey VERY lo iq - you never provided the science behind this:

U.S. health officials say Americans shouldn’t wear face masks to prevent coronavirus — here are 3 other reasons not to wear them

Published: March 2, 2020
https://www.marketwatch.com/story/the-cdc-says-americans-dont-have-to-wear-facemasks-because-of-coronavirus-2020-01-30

Though health officials have warned Americans to prepare for the spread of the novel coronavirus in the U.S., people shouldn’t wear face masks to prevent the spread of the infectious illness, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and the U.S. surgeon general.

So the CDC, US DHHS and the US surgeon general who all advised Trump were all on board with no masks. And Fauci, though he later walked it back....

What was the science again ???

Oh, masks don't work.

Published April 5, 2021. Face masks and other personal protective equipment (PPE) are important tools to protect the wearer and others against COVID-19. EPA scientists and others are applying their expertise in aerosol and decontamination research to study the effectiveness of various types of masks for the public and healthcare workers, as well as methods for disinfecting PPE for the public, healthcare workers, and other essential workers, including emergency responders.

Are you really this stupid.

My point was the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and the U.S. surgeon general all recommended not to use masks into April of last year. They were the scientists Trump had to rely on. Of course it is dated since I was talking about their early recommendations which you say are based on science.

And they were either wrong then or are now.

But obviously you are incapable of understanding.

Democrats’ bill would ban Trump’s name from U.S. buildings and monuments, prevent Arlington burial

Thirteen House Democrats have co-sponsored a bill that would bar the federal government from naming any buildings or monuments for former President Donald Trump, and would block his burial at Arlington National Cemetery.
The “No Glory for Hate Act,” introduced late last month by Democratic Rep. Linda Sanchez of California, also would bar Mr. Trump from receiving a federal pension valued at $220,000 per year, office space, and paid staff. He would still be entitled to Secret Service protection.
Trump allies say the proposal is more proof that Democrats are consumed with hatred for Mr. Trump
