Why does the left want to level the playing field by holding people back?

Research Used to Justify California's 'Equity' Math Doesn't Add Up
The push to create “equity” and more “social justice” in public schools in America's largest state rests on this basic premise: “We reject ideas of natural gifts and talents,” declares the current draft of the California Math Framework, which also states that it rejects “the cult of genius.” Informed by that fundamental idea, the 800-page Framework calls for the elimination of accelerated classes and gifted programs for high-achieving students until at least the 11th grade.
But the Framework, which could be adopted next year, claims its recommendations are based on the latest, seemingly unimpeachable findings of advanced social science research. Phrases such as “researchers found,” “the research shows” and the “research is clear” are sprinkled through the Framework, which states unequivocally: “The research is clear that all students are capable of becoming powerful mathematics learners and users.” If true, this evidence would provide a powerful rationale for adopting the Framework's proposals, which, given California's size and prestige, is commonly seen as a model for other states.
A review of much of the research cited, however, reveals that what the Framework describes as “clear” is often actually pretty murky, hotly disputed, or contradicted by other research, misleadingly stretched to cover situations for which it was not intended, or, in some instances, just plain wrong.

This isn't an issue of research, social or otherwise. This is an issue of societal experience, common sense, and reality. All of this points to the fact that whether the area is academia, music, arts, athletics, or whatever area you choose, people have differing levels of natural abilities and skills. Nobody is going to convince me that there is no such thing as a naturally gifted mathematician anymore than they can convince me that high level athletes like Michael Jordon do not have natural gifts. To deny that people have different abilities is to deny reality and no amount of social research will change this.

It would be no less difficult for an student of average or even below average intelligence to compete with genius level students in higher math, than it would be for the average sized non-athletic person reading this blog to complete with a 6' 6"highly athletic person on the basketball court. While it can certainly require a large amount of hard work and dedication to make it to the top of any field, there are always many people who give it everything they have and still fail to make the cut. Those differences many time fall down to natural ability.

The issue here isn't about making opportunities fair for people based on color, race, creed, or zip code. But the issue here is about allowing everyone to excel in the areas that they have the most abilities. When your idea of equity is to hold with these gifts back from pursuing them, then you didn't level the playing field, you lowered it. Unfortunately the playing field in 2021 isn't just California or even the United States. The playing field is global, and that field will not be leveled or lowered in the least by what California does.

In 1903, Representative John S. Williams of Mississippi, a proponent of the repeal, called the 15th Amendment “one of the greatest crimes in political history.”

Fast forward to the present, when Donald Trump is calling his election loss “the greatest fraud in the history of our country from an electoral standpoint,” in part because it was made possible by the votes of Black and brown people.

Most of Trump history was a failure and embarrassment, but one of its great ignoble successes is that it is ushering in Jim Crow 2.0.

Just as in the 1890, the courts and Congress are not doing much to stop the march of voter suppression. In 1890, Benjamin Harrison, a business-minded liberal who believed in Black people’s right to vote, was in office. He endorsed the federal elections bill that would protect Black people from raging voter suppression in the South.

The bill passed in the House but languished and died in the Senate — even though liberals controlled both chambers — in part because those liberals were more focused on other issues.

Then, as The Washington Post reported, around the time of the Mississippi constitutional convention, “African Americans from 40 counties in Mississippi had protested to President Benjamin Harrison, but he declined to intervene.”

President Biden hasn’t declined to intervene, but he has dragged his feet and not used the full force of the bully pulpit and still hasn’t given a full-throated endorsement of ending the filibuster to protect voting rights.

America is having a déjà vu moment, reliving in real time a horrendous history of more than a century ago, and it is impossible for to understand how Democrats in Washington don’t see that.

There is no reason to believe that this round of voter suppression is the end of those efforts, and every reason to dread that any successful implementation of them would serve as an accelerant of further suppressive efforts.

Voter suppression is like an invasive weed. Either snatch it up by the root at the first sign of a sprig or it will spread, unchecked, and consume the whole garden.

Another conspiracy theory addiction symptom.

In other words, the basic premise of the Framework is the same as the larger woke movement, namely that the white male power structure systematically keeps women and non-whites down.  “Math operates as whiteness” is the way this has been put by some specialists in math education. “One must acknowledge that mathematics is part of a societal system that is inherently racist,” reads a typical sort of blog post among math educators proposing what they call “anti-racist math.”

It is not analytical, it is just another right wing conspiracy theory addiction.

Unequal talents deliver unequal outcomes. Liberals can't have that in their quest for "equity" so therefore they MUST demand legislating to a least common denominator so we all must suffer.

Injecting this Marxist bullshit into STEM fields will only result in needless deaths. Just wait until medical schools start graduating morons with the right skin tones needed to achieve their social justice "woke" quotas. Let those graduates be limited to practicing medicine in California nursing homes.

Same with engineering. Admit and graduate these fuckwits on anything BUT merit, and more condos collapse on Miami Beach.

Part One Opening Paragraph.

It's a political agenda.

Ever since the most blatant forms of racism and discrimination in America faded, what are called microaggressions have, in the view of leftist academics and social justice activists, taken their place. These are “a form of racism,”  the slights and insults that, though subtle and small and typically unconscious, are insulting and harmful to their targets.

To make it simple enough for some people....

It is reverse discrimination against Republicans and white people.

It's modern day Red Scare.

This nation has gone through this several times in history.

The bottom line is white supremacists are in control of the Republican party now.

VOTING REFORM: 70% WANT ALL MAIL-IN BALLOTS RECEIVED BY ELECTION DAY.

Seventy percent (70%) of voters want all mail-in ballots to be received by Election Day. A Scott Rasmussen national survey found that 21% are opposed to that requirement and 9% are not sure.

Those totals include 47% who Strongly Favor the Election Day deadline and 11% who are Strongly Opposed.

Requiring mail-in ballots to be received by Election Day is favored by 83% of Republicans, 63% of Democrats, and 55% of Independent voters. In fact, that requirement is favored by a majority of every measured demographic group.

The survey also found that 65% believe government agencies should be required to report the vote totals from all ballots either on Election Night or the next day.

Plus, 76% favor Photo ID for voting.

Also: 57% want Ballot Harvesting banned, only 20% disagree.

None of this, of course, is what the Democrats are offering in their new HR4 “voting rights” bill, the whole point of which is to insulate a Democrat-run government from what voters want.

One of my favorite supervisors had a PhD in mathematics. He introduced me into high level mathematics on stress related structure construction when we reconstructed the structure steel joints to withstand both horizontal and vertical stress caused by earthquakes.

In 94, the earthquake was much more vertical than horizontal. Buildings that were not designed to withstand vertical earthquakes.

In the West Los Angeles hospital area, one of the parking garages collapsed completely.

The structural engineers discovered that the West Los Angeles hospital had almost collapsed completely.

My first job was to work with the engineers and the contractors and rebuild every single structural joints. I learned how to read and understand the structural specifications.

That's the main reason why I was the only person working as a construction estimator for Kaiser Permanente facility services for almost two decades.

I can't write the engineering directions but I understand everything they said.

On top of that the entire building was built before asbestos was banned. Every single structural joint had asbestos for fire control.

One engineer and I put together the estimates for millions of dollars worth of construction jobs in West Los Angeles hospital.

Lack of education doesn't mean that a person can actually think!

Unlike you, I discount almost everything I read that involves "leaked" information or "anonymous" sources.

Regardless, the story is pointless. The whole 2016 conspiracy theory wasn't about whether or not Russia was attempting to influence our election. It was about the allegations that Trump was somehow conspiring with Putin.

The pointless leaked information (authentic or not) doesn't serve any purpose to provide anything substantial to what the three Congressional investigations, an FBI investigation, and a special counsel were attempting to prove.

In fact, it might go to prove the opposite. That leaked information does not show any coordinate with any alleged unverified Putin attempts to interfere with our elections. If this was truly some sort of authentic coup from the media perspective, the fact that they did not uncover the nefarious conspiracy between Putin and Trump is telling.

Yahoo News
Reported Kremlin Leak Appears to Confirm Existence of Trump ‘Kompromat’
Jamie Ross

For years, there have been whispers that the Russian government holds compromising materials on Donald Trump. Now, an alleged leak from the heart of the Kremlin appears to show them boasting about “kompromat.”

The supposed leak obtained by The Guardian reportedly claims that President Vladimir Putin personally approved a nefarious plan to throw Russia’s support behind Trump’s 2016 campaign. The document states that Putin, his spy chiefs, and top ministers agreed that a victory for a “mentally unstable” Trump would permanently weaken the United States.

The document also reportedly states that the Kremlin has so-called kompromat—or damaging intelligence—on Trump. It cryptically refers to “certain events” that happened during “non-official visits to Russian Federation territory.” The purported leak doesn’t explain what those events involved—only referring to an appendix that wasn’t attached the obtained document.

The Daily Beast has not reviewed the supposed Kremlin leak, and The Guardian has not definitively proven it the be authentic. However, it has quoted experts on Russian spy agencies and Kremlin diplomacy who say they have no reason to doubt that the document is genuine. Some previous media allegations based on intelligence reports have ultimately proven to be wrong.

Trump is known to have visited Moscow on multiple occasions in the decades before he was elected in 2016. One memorable section of the Steele dossier threw up some extraordinary but unsubstantiated claims about the former president and some Russian prostitutes in a Moscow hotel room when he jetted in to Russia for the 2013 Miss Universe pageant.

The document reportedly offers more detail on what Kremlin leaders allegedly thought of Trump before he became president and why they wanted him to win. It reportedly describes the future president as an “impulsive, mentally unstable and unbalanced individual who suffers from an inferiority complex,” and, therefore, the “most promising candidate.”

Honest, decent, truthful Rev. said...

The Guardian reports that the papers state that a Kremlin plan to back Trump was agreed at a meeting of the national security council on Jan. 22, 2016. The document reportedly recommends that the Kremlin and its spy agencies use “all possible force” to push Trump to victory in the election and help him sow “social turmoil” in the United States.

The document reportedly predicts that a Trump win “will definitely lead to the destabilization of the U.S.’s sociopolitical system,” and a “social explosion.”

The papers threaten to insert “media viruses” into American systems to help exacerbate the chaos of a Trump presidency.

Trump has historically denied that Russia helped elect him as president, and that the Kremlin has any kompromat on him.

Months after the January 2016 meeting, Russian hackers broke into the servers of the Democratic National Committee and released thousands of private emails in an attempt to damage Hillary Clinton’s campaign.

When contacted by The Guardian, Putin’s spokesman Dmitri Peskov described the supposed leaked papers as “a great pulp fiction.”

Their assessment of Trump is exactly as his niece Mary Trump said in her book about her Uncle Donald Trump.

There is a brief psychological assessment of Trump, who is described as an “impulsive, mentally unstable and unbalanced individual who suffers from an inferiority complex”.

There is also apparent confirmation that the Kremlin possesses kompromat, or potentially compromising material, on the future president, collected – the document says – from Trump’s earlier “non-official visits to Russian Federation territory”.

The paper refers to “certain events” that happened during Trump’s trips to Moscow. Security council members are invited to find details in appendix five, at paragraph five, the document states. It is unclear what the appendix contains.

“It is acutely necessary to use all possible force to facilitate his [Trump’s] election to the post of US president,” the paper says.

This would help bring about Russia’s favoured “theoretical political scenario”. A Trump win “will definitely lead to the destabilisation of the US’s sociopolitical system” and see hidden discontent burst into the open, it predicts.

American Thinker is another example of insanity on the right wing of this generation.

English rock band Pink Floyd released an album in 1979 entitled The Wall which explored abandonment and isolation, symbolized by a wall. Forty years later, these themes resonate with many in our post COVID world.

The Chinese coronavirus, and more so, the response by governments, the media, and the medical establishment, have isolated so many people from normal commerce and social activities of life. We were told to stay home, sheltering in place. Then Dr. Anthony Fauci, chief architect of the wall, told us, after first telling us that masks were unnecessary, to wear one, then two masks, hiding our faces and emotions from friends, family, neighbors, and coworkers.

Congregating in churches and other family events like weddings, funerals, and graduations was forbidden, and in some countries like Canada, still is. The hubbub of a busy restaurant was replaced by a handful of tables spaced so far apart that there might have been walls between tables.

A wall then grew between masked and unmasked, vaccinated and unvaccinated, those who believed government and media propaganda and those who actually tried to follow the science. The wall is now crushing children, one of the most vulnerable population groups, without the knowledge or voice to push back.

It is left to the few brave and outspoken adults left to speak for the children saying, as Pink Floyd did 40 years ago, “Leave them kids alone!” What have the media, CDC, and self-anointed experts like Dr. Fauci done to the kids?

AJC reported it could only find 27 votes double-cast for Biden in Fulton County, but independent audit investigators claim to have found more examples of election malfeasance.

“If we’re finding this in Fulton County, we’re probably going to find it throughout the state. The question is, why did it happen?” said David Cross, who is working with the plaintiffs. “The simple fact that it happened and we found it here means that it probably occurred elsewhere!!!!!!!!!.” The election could be overturned by the Republican if they had the power.

Kremlin papers appear to show Putin’s plot to put Trump in White House
Exclusive: Documents suggest Russia launched secret multi-agency effort to interfere in US democracy
Luke Harding, Julian Borger and Dan Sabbagh
Thu 15 Jul 2021 06.00 EDT

Vladimir Putin personally authorised a secret spy agency operation to support a “mentally unstable” Donald Trump in the 2016 US presidential election during a closed session of Russia’s national security council, according to what are assessed to be leaked Kremlin documents.

The key meeting took place on 22 January 2016, the papers suggest, with the Russian president, his spy chiefs and senior ministers all present.

They agreed a Trump White House would help secure Moscow’s strategic objectives, among them “social turmoil” in the US and a weakening of the American president’s negotiating position.

Russia’s three spy agencies were ordered to find practical ways to support Trump, in a decree appearing to bear Putin’s signature.

By this point Trump was the frontrunner in the Republican party’s nomination race. A report prepared by Putin’s expert department recommended Moscow use “all possible force” to ensure a Trump victory.

Western intelligence agencies are understood to have been aware of the documents for some months and to have carefully examined them. The papers, seen by the Guardian, seem to represent a serious and highly unusual leak from within the Kremlin.

The Guardian has shown the documents to independent experts who say they appear to be genuine. Incidental details come across as accurate. The overall tone and thrust is said to be consistent with Kremlin security thinking.

The Kremlin responded dismissively. Putin’s spokesman Dmitri Peskov said the idea that Russian leaders had met and agreed to support Trump in at the meeting in early 2016 was “a great pulp fiction” when contacted by the Guardian on Thursday morning.

U.S. State Department invites U.N. racism investigators to visit U.S.

WASHINGTON, July 13 (Reuters) - The U.S. State Department has invited U.N. experts who investigate racism and minority issues to conduct an official visit to the United States, Secretary of State Antony Blinken said on Tuesday.

"Responsible nations must not shrink from scrutiny of their human rights record; rather, they should acknowledge it with the intent to improve," Blinken said in a statement.

"I urge all U.N. member states to join the United States in this effort, and confront the scourge of racism, racial discrimination, and xenophobia," he said.

The report – “No 32-04 \ vd” – is classified as secret. It says Trump is the “most promising candidate” from the Kremlin’s point of view. The word in Russian is perspektivny.

The Kremlin summit
There is no doubt that the meeting in January 2016 took place – and that it was convened inside the Kremlin.

An official photo of the occasion shows Putin at the head of the table, seated beneath a Russian Federation flag and a two-headed golden eagle. Russia’s then prime minister, Dmitry Medvedev, attended, together with the veteran foreign minister, Sergei Lavrov.

Also present were Sergei Shoigu, the defence minister in charge of the GRU, Russia’s military intelligence agency; Mikhail Fradkov, the then chief of Russia’s SVR foreign intelligence service; and Alexander Bortnikov, the boss of the FSB spy agency.Nikolai Patrushev, the FSB’s former director, attended too as security council secretary.

According to a press release, the discussion covered the economy and Moldova.

The document seen by the Guardian suggests the security council’s real, covert purpose was to discuss the confidential proposals drawn up by the president’s analytical service in response to US sanctions against Moscow.

A report prepared by Putin’s expert department recommended Moscow use ‘all possible force’ to ensure a Trump presidential victory. Photograph: Rhona Wise/AFP/Getty Images
The author appears to be Vladimir Symonenko, the senior official in charge of the Kremlin’s expert department – which provides Putin with analytical material and reports, some of them based on foreign intelligence.

The papers indicate that on 14 January 2016 Symonenko circulated a three-page executive summary of his team’s conclusions and recommendations.

In a signed order two days later, Putin instructed the then chief of his foreign policy directorate, Alexander Manzhosin, to convene a closed briefing of the national security council.

Its purpose was to further study the document, the order says. Manzhosin was given a deadline of five days to make arrangements.

What was said inside the second-floor Kremlin senate building room is unknown. But the president and his intelligence officials appear to have signed off on a multi-agency plan to interfere in US democracy, framed in terms of justified self-defence.

Various measures are cited that the Kremlin might adopt in response to what it sees as hostile acts from Washington. The paper lays out several American weaknesses. These include a “deepening political gulf between left and right”, the US’s “media-information” space, and an anti-establishment mood under President Barack Obama.

The paper does not name Hillary Clinton, Trump’s 2016 rival. It does suggest employing media resources to undermine leading US political figures.

There are paragraphs on how Russia might insert “media viruses” into American public life, which could become self-sustaining and self-replicating. These would alter mass consciousness, especially in certain groups, it says.

After the meeting, according to a separate leaked document, Putin issued a decree setting up a new and secret interdepartmental commission. Its urgent task was to realise the goals set out in the “special part” of document No 32-04 \ vd.

Members of the new working body were stated to include Shoigu, Fradkov and Bortnikov. Shoigu was named commission chair. The decree – ukaz in Russian – said the group should take practical steps against the US as soon as possible. These were justified on national security grounds and in accordance with a 2010 federal law, 390-FZ, which allows the council to formulate state policy on security matters.

According to the document, each spy agency was given a role. The defence minister was instructed to coordinate the work of subdivisions and services. Shoigu was also responsible for collecting and systematising necessary information and for “preparing measures to act on the information environment of the object” – a command, it seems, to hack sensitive American cyber-targets identified by the SVR.

The SVR was told to gather additional information to support the commission’s activities. The FSB was assigned counter-intelligence. Putin approved the apparent document, dated 22 January 2016, which his chancellery stamped.

The measures were effective immediately on Putin’s signature, the decree says. The spy chiefs were given just over a week to come back with concrete ideas, to be submitted by 1 February.

Written in bureaucratic language, the papers appear to offer an unprecedented glimpse into the usually hidden world of Russian government decision-making.

Honest, decent, truthful Rev. said...

Putin has repeatedly denied accusations of interfering in western democracy. The documents seem to contradict this claim. They suggest the president, his spy officers and senior ministers were all intimately involved in one of the most important and audacious espionage operations of the 21st century: a plot to help put the “mentally unstable” Trump in the White House.

The papers appear to set out a route map for what actually happened in 2016.

A matter of weeks after the security council meeting, GRU hackers raided the servers of the Democratic National Committee (DNC) and subsequently released thousands of private emails in an attempt to hurt Clinton’s election campaign.

GRU hackers released thousands of private emails in an attempt to hurt Clinton’s election campaign.

The report seen by the Guardian features details redolent of Russian intelligence work, diplomatic sources say. The thumbnail sketch of Trump’s personality is characteristic of Kremlin spy agency analysis, which places great emphasis on building up a profile of individuals using both real and cod psychology.

Moscow would gain most from a Republican victory, the paper states. This could lead to a “social explosion” that would in turn weaken the US president, it says. There were international benefits from a Trump win, it stresses. Putin would be able in clandestine fashion to dominate any US-Russia bilateral talks, to deconstruct the White House’s negotiating position, and to pursue bold foreign policy initiatives on Russia’s behalf, it says.

Other parts of the multi-page report deal with non-Trump themes. It says sanctions imposed by the US after Russia’s 2014 annexation of Crimea have contributed to domestic tensions. The Kremlin should seek alternative ways of attracting liquidity into the Russian economy, it concludes.

The document recommends the reorientation of trade and hydrocarbon exports towards China. Moscow’s focus should be to influence the US and its satellite countries, it says, so they drop sanctions altogether or soften them.

‘Spell-binding’ documents
Andrei Soldatov, an expert on Russia’s spy agencies and author of The Red Web, said the leaked material “reflects reality”. “It’s consistent with the procedures of the security services and the security council,” he said. “Decisions are always made like that, with advisers providing information to the president and a chain of command.”

He added: “The Kremlin micromanages most of these operations. Putin has made it clear to his spies since at least 2015 that nothing can be done independently from him. There is no room for independent action.” Putin decided to release stolen DNC emails following a security council meeting in April 2016, Soldatov said, citing his own sources.

Sir Andrew Wood, the UK’s former ambassador in Moscow and an associate fellow at the Chatham House thinktank, described the documents as “spell-binding”. “They reflect the sort of discussion and recommendations you would expect. There is a complete misunderstanding of the US and China. They are written for a person [Putin] who can’t believe he got anything wrong.”

Wood added: “There is no sense Russia might have made a mistake by invading Ukraine. The report is fully in line with the sort of thing I would expect in 2016, and even more so now. There is a good deal of paranoia. They believe the US is responsible for everything. This view is deeply dug into the soul of Russia’s leaders.”

Trump did not respond to a request for comment.

This could be the new day when Goldwater told the President Nixon to resign immediately. Unfortunately I don't think he will do it.

(CNN)House GOP Leader Kevin McCarthy is expected to meet with former President Donald Trump on Thursday, as the California Republican is considering which members of his conference to appoint to a special committee tasked with investigating the deadly January 6 riot at the US Capitol.

"Kevin McCarthy will be meeting with me this afternoon at Trump National in Bedminster, N.J. Much to discuss!" Trump announced in a statement Thursday.

According to a GOP source familiar with the meeting, McCarthy will sit down with Trump at his New Jersey golf club to discuss upcoming special elections, vulnerable Democrats in 2022 and the GOP's record-breaking fundraising numbers. But the announcement of the meeting comes the day after the select committee investigating the Capitol riot said that it will hold its first public hearing on July 27, essentially setting a deadline for McCarthy to make his picks as to who will represent the GOP on the commission. Sources tell CNN that McCarthy intends to announce his selections before the first hearing.

McCarthy's trip to Bedminster also coincides with a series of new revelations this week surrounding Trump's final days in office that describe the former President's increasingly defiant and belligerent behavior in refusing to concede his 2020 election loss.

McCarthy is expected to return to Washington following the meeting for a dinner at the White House on Thursday evening honoring German Chancellor Angela Merkel. McCarthy's office confirms the House minority leader will attend the dinner.

As the sun rose over Washington on Jan. 6, electricity hung in the air. The big day had come. Thousands of President Trump’s supporters began gathering on the Ellipse to stake out a good spot from which to see the president, who was scheduled to address the “Save America” rally around noon. Organizers had obtained a federal permit for 30,000 people, but it looked as if the crowd would be even larger than that. Thousands more prepared to make their way toward the Capitol to protest the certification of Joe Biden’s election.
At the White House, Trump set the tone for the day with an 8:17 a.m. tweet: “States want to correct their votes, which they now know were based on irregularities and fraud, plus corrupt process never received legislative approval. All Mike Pence has to do is send them back to the States, AND WE WIN. Do it Mike, this is a time for extreme courage!”

Many of Trump’s advisers knew this would never actually happen. They chalked the president’s tweet up to theater. Vice President Pence could have the courage of a lion, but there was no doubt that he would fulfill his constitutional duty and preside over the pro forma certification of Biden’s win. As one senior official recalled, “All of us knew this was the endgame. The clock had run out. By January 6th, it was game over … We knew we would take the blows. This was date certain. The vice president knew this.”

As Nancy Pelosi left her luxury condo building in Georgetown, she greeted her security agents who would drive her to the Capitol. “This is going to be quite a day,” the House speaker said to them. She kept the rest of her thoughts to herself, but later recalled thinking: “I know the Republicans will try some stunts. But at the end of the day, Joe Biden will be the president of the United States — the ascertained future president.”

In the Oval Office later that morning, Trump huddled with aides and family members. The president went in and out of the dining room to check on TV coverage, hoping to gauge the size of the crowd on the Ellipse. Stephen Miller was there going over the remarks he and his team had prepared for the president to deliver at the rally. Senior White House officials Mark Meadows, Keith Kellogg and Eric Herschmann were there, too, as were the president’s adult children Donald Trump Jr., Ivanka Trump and Eric Trump, and Kimberly Guilfoyle, Trump Jr.'s girlfriend. Some of those around the president encouraged his fantasy of Pence the hero stepping in to overturn the election. Guilfoyle, referring to the growing crowd on the Ellipse, told him, “They’re just reflecting the will of the people. This is the will of the people.”

Ivanka Trump did not agree and was upset about what attorney Rudolph W. Giuliani and others had been advising her father. At one point that morning, she said: “This is not right. It’s not right.”

She thought her father was fucking crazy!

— Former President Donald Trump, responding in a statement to reports that Milley was concerned Trump would stage a coup after losing the election.

AND NOW, MR. EX PRESIDENT, ARE YOU FINALLY PREPARED TO ISSUE A STATEMENT ON THE KREMLIN'S LEAKED PAPERS?

Remember when he publicly said that he would do anything to keep Obama from getting a second term????

Something strange is happening in Washington: Mitch McConnell might go along with a central piece of Joe Biden’s agenda.

The self-appointed “Grim Reaper” of the Senate, a minority leader who said just two months ago that “100% of my focus is on standing up to this administration,” has been remarkably circumspect about the Senate’s bipartisan infrastructure deal. He’s privately telling his members to separate that effort from Democrats’ party-line $3.5 trillion spending plan and publicly observed there’s a “decent” chance for its success.

Even though the former President has said it was a Democratic hoax and a communist regime, it appears that he will not block the infrastructure bill.

And if the Democrats use the reconciliation process to pass the children recovery bill, by the holiday season .

Sleepy Joe Biden will succeed!

Pjmedia has been gaslighted by the media!

While Trump may have gone too far in claiming that he won the election, he did not encourage a violent insurrection, much less a coup. Even on January 6, Trump told his supporters to remain peaceful for the protest at the Capitol. The president ultimately condemned the Capitol riot and he did leave the White House peacefully, allowing for the transition of power.

The chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff should think rationally about the commander in chief, rather than indulging in partisan fear-mongering about him. Milley’s absurd Hitler comparisons suggest that the general started to imbibe the Left’s “Trump Derangement Syndrome.” The general’s decision to defend Marxist critical race theory and to use CRT talking points to trash the Constitution’s Three-Fifths Compromise also suggests a creeping leftist perspective.

The Joint Chiefs chairman’s remarks about Trump supporters may be even more terrifying, however. President Joe Biden has launched an effort to root “extremism” out of the military, based partially on the fact that some veterans took part in the Capitol riot. While the Department of Defense has not issued a definition of “extremism,” military whistleblowers have raised concerns about CRT materials in trainings and a provisional Army definition gives conservatives reasons to fear ideological targeting.

They are CRT haters

Welcome Back Carter -

The White House is sending mixed messages on the United States's post-pandemic inflationary run, with quiet signals suggesting the period might last years longer than administration officials have publicly indicated.

The Consumer Price Index report for May published by the Bureau of Labor Statistics showed that year-over-year inflation jumped 5.4%, marking three straight months of increases and the single-largest increase since the Great Recession of 2008.

Still, the White House's Council of Economic Advisers noted roughly 60% of that increase could be attributed to auto industry demand, exacerbated by severe semiconductor shortages.

Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) told Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) that he was responsible for the Capitol riot while the scene was evolving on Jan. 6, according to a new book.

In "I Alone Can Fix It," Washington Post reporters Carol Leonnig and Philip Rucker write about a phone call between Cheney and Gen. Mark Milley, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, in which the Wyoming Republican describes a confrontation she had with Jordan during the riot, CNN reported.

"That fucking guy Jim Jordan. That son of a bitch. ... While these maniacs are going through the place, I'm standing in the aisle and he said, 'We need to get the ladies away from the aisle. Let me help you.' I smacked his hand away and told him, 'Get away from me. You fucking did this,'" Cheney reportedly told the general.

'Every officer is up to speed on diversity training. Not so much ship handling': Scathing official report finds woke US Navy is not fit for war because of risk averse, politically correct, control-freak top brass
Members of Congress commissioned the report on issues in the surface Navy

Came in response to fire on ship in San Diego and two ship collisions in Pacific

Retired Marine general and Navy admiral spoke with current and former officers

They identified a number of disturbing trends in Navy leadership and training

Many officers said that diversity training took precedence over warfighting

They claimed combat readiness had become a 'box-checking' exercise

...

The authors conducted hour-long interviews with 77 current and retired Navy officers, offering them anonymity to identify issues they wouldn't feel comfortable raising in the chain of command.

The report found that a staggering 94 percent of the subjects believed the recent Naval disasters were 'part of a broader problem in Navy culture or leadership.'

'I guarantee you every unit in the Navy is up to speed on their diversity training. I'm sorry that I can't say the same of their ship handling training,' said one recently retired senior enlisted leader.

...

One of the key issues raised by the officers interviewed for the report was a concern that Navy leaders spend more time focusing on diversity training than on developing warfighting capacity and key operational skills.

'Sometimes I think we care more about whether we have enough diversity officers than if we'll survive a fight with the Chinese navy,' lamented one lieutenant currently on active duty.

'It's criminal. They think my only value is as a black woman. But you cut our ship open with a missile and we'll all bleed the same color,' she added.

One recent destroyer captain said: 'where someone puts their time shows what their priorities are. And we've got so many messages about X, Y, Z appreciation month, or sexual assault prevention, or you name it. We don't even have close to that same level of emphasis on actual warfighting.'

Milley Vanilli is commanding a pack of sissies...

China's military said it chased a U.S. warship out of a disputed area of the South China Sea on Monday after Washington warned an attack on the Philippines might activate a mutual defense treaty.

Beijing affirmed its claims to portions of the sea that also are claimed by Southeast Asia governments. It rejected the Biden administration's declaration of support Sunday for an international tribunal ruling in favor of the Philippines that threw out most of them.

China is increasingly assertive about pressing its territorial claims, which are fueling tension with neighbors including Japan, India, Vietnam and the Philippines.

The People's Liberation Army said it sent ships and planes after the U.S.S. Benfold entered waters claimed by Beijing around the Paracel Islands.

Chinese forces "warned them and drove them away," the military said on its social media account.

Something similar now is happening with the collapse of traditional media and the rise of Carlson, the current #1 voice on cable, who is rapidly stealing the audience MSNBC somehow believed it could corral with spokesgoons like Wallace. It seems impossible that Carlson’s haters don’t realize how easy they’ve made it for him, turning themselves into such caricatures of illiberalism that they’re practically handing him the top spot.

With about a third of adults in the U.S. still completely unvaccinated, and cases of COVID-19 on the rise, the U.S. surgeon general is calling for a war against "health misinformation."

On Thursday, Dr. Vivek Murthy released the first surgeon general's advisory of his time serving in the Biden administration, describing the "urgent threat" posed by the rise of false information around COVID-19 — one that continues to put "lives at risk" and prolong the pandemic.

Murthy says Americans must do their part to fight misinformation.

"COVID has really brought into sharp focus the full extent of damage that health misinformation is doing," Murthy told NPR in an exclusive interview ahead of the advisory's release. Surgeon general's advisories are reserved for significant public health challenges that demand immediate attention.

SHOTS - HEALTH NEWSFor Some Anti-Vaccine Advocates, Misinformation Is Part Of A Business

In some cases, he says, the simplest way to stop the spread is to not share something questionable you read online: "If you're not sure, not sharing is often the prudent thing to do."

The U.S. has dealt with misinformation around other public health crises, including decades of persistent rumors about HIV/AIDS, but Murthy says the coronavirus pandemic is underscoring just how problematic the false information and rumors related to health can be.

Rates of COVID-19 are rising nationwide, driven in large part by the spread of the highly transmissible delta variant. A recent analysis by NPR shows that cases are highest in places where vaccination rates lag. Multiple factors, including inadequate access to vaccines, can keep vaccination rates low in some communities, but Murthy says fear about possible side effects or extremely rare adverse events are also a powerful driver of vaccine hesitancy.

In many cases, false information about the vaccines feeds that hesitancy. According to polling from the Kaiser Family Foundation, two-thirds of unvaccinated adults either believe vaccine myths or are unsure about whether they are true. Murthy says that means misinformation is literally putting lives at

"Every life that is lost to COVID-19 when we have vaccines available, is a preventable tragedy," Murthy says.

Kputz doesn't care.

CNN reported McCarthy was expected to return to Washington following the meeting with Trump to attend a White House dinner honoring German Chancellor Angela Merkel on Thursday evening.

Earlier Thursday, Trump issued a statement in response to a report saying Pelosi worried Trump might start a nuclear war during his final days in office.

"Nancy Pelosi is a known nutjob," the former president said. "Her enraged quotes that she was afraid that I would use nuclear weapons is just more of the same.

"In fact, I was the one that got us out of wars, not into wars. And I was the one who got respect for our Country again, not like now when the leaders of the entire World are laughing at us. They didn’t laugh when I was there!"

Hunter Biden has opened up a $100,000 Per Cup Koolaid Store on the front lawn of the White House!

White House press secretary Jen Psaki explained that, to prevent corruption, everybody buying a lemonade would have to wear a paper bag over his or her head.

“The President’s son has a right to earn a living, whether it’s by serving on corporate boards in fields he has no background in, selling paintings for $500,000 after two years of practice, or dumping 10 cents of drink mix into a cup and then selling it at a one hundred million percent markup,” Psaki said. “I would hope that Republicans, as believers in the free market, would understand that.”

Psaki also dismissed concerns about a gigantic tip jar on the lemonade stand, labeled “for the Big Guy.”

Already, Biden’s lemonade stand has been the target of disinformation attacks linked to the Kremlin. Facebook has banned users from posting, or even linking privately to, a viral video suggesting that Hunter Biden may not wash his hands in the bathroom before returning to the stand. Twitter, meanwhile, has blacked out a New York Post article that claims text messages found on Hunter Biden’s laptop indicate the secret to his lemonade’s appeal is trace (or not so trace) amounts of crack cocaine. The stories were blocked after more than fifty intelligence veterans signed a letter saying that, while they hadn’t actually looked at the evidence, they were pretty sure it was just some Russian scheme to defame the president and his incredibly gifted son.

FBI Director Christopher Wray assured Americans they have nothing to fear.

“Make no mistake, we are well aware of Hunter Biden’s $100,000 lemonade stand, and we have already assigned a full-time 12-agent team to investigate criminal misinformation about this stand,” said Wray. The director encouraged Americans to watch for warning signs of violent radicalization, such as mixing Kool-Aid instead of lemonade at the next family barbecue.

Hunter says this won’t be his last business venture. Once Washington’s thirst has been satiated, he hopes to move on to offering food.

“I was thinking I might open a pizza place,” Hunter said. “Kids love pizza!”

At 2:10, the first rioter entered the Capitol by breaking a window and climbing inside. A stream of Trump warriors followed him.

In the Senate chamber, where Pence was presiding at the rostrum, Romney was the first to move. After Marroletti texted him, “They’re inside the Capitol,” Romney walked off the floor and started to make his way alone toward his small hideaway office in the Capitol. He ran into Capitol Police Officer Eugene Goodman, who was guarding the area outside the chamber. “Go back in,” Goodman instructed Romney. “There are people not far. You’ll be safer inside.” Romney turned around and returned to his desk on the Senate floor.

At 2:13, Pence’s Secret Service detail removed the vice president from the Senate floor and took him through a side door to his ceremonial office nearby, along with his wife, Karen, their daughter Charlotte, and his brother, Greg, a congressman from Indiana. The Pences were hurried across one of the Capitol’s many ornate marble hallways to get there, but the path proved eerily close to danger. One or two minutes later, marauders chanting Pence’s name charged up the stairs to that precise landing in front of the hallway, and a quick-thinking Goodman led the rioters in a different direction, away from the Senate chamber. Had Pence walked past any later, the intruders who called him a traitor would have spotted him.

The Senate immediately went into recess. The C-SPAN feed providing live footage of the proceedings was shut off. The same was happening at the other end of the building, where plainclothes Capitol Police officers barricaded the door to the Speaker’s Lobby just off the House chamber to keep the protesters from charging in. The House adjourned at 2:20. Pelosi had been presiding when her security team yanked her from the rostrum. “I thought they were just switching off because of mischief,” she later recalled. “I didn’t know it was because of real danger.”
Capitol Police officers whisked away the leaders of both houses of Congress to an undisclosed safe location in the Hart Senate Office Building. Other lawmakers were evacuated, too, although the process of getting to safety proved chaotic.
“We’re walking down the tunnels and there happened to be two officers there and we said, ‘Where are we going?’ ” Romney recalled. “They said, ‘Well, I’m sure the senators know.’ I said, ‘Well, I’m a senator and I don’t know.’ ”

At the White House, Trump was back in his private dining room watching everything unfold on television. Aides, including Dan Scavino and Kayleigh McEnany, popped in and out. The president was riveted. His supporters had heeded his call to march on the Capitol with “pride and boldness.” For Trump, there was no more beautiful sight than thousands of energetic people waving Trump flags, wearing red MAGA caps and fighting to keep him in power.

“He thought, ‘This is cool.’ He was happy,” recalled one aide who was with Trump that afternoon. “Then when it turned violent, he thought, ‘Oh, crap.’ ”

What Did Fauci Know And When? His Emails Point To Panic, Lies, And A Possible Cover-Up
Fauci knew COVID-19 likely came from the Wuhan lab. He knew the virus 'looked engineered.' And he knew all this on February 1, 2020.

Recently released e-mails show that Dr. Anthony Fauci knew key facts about the origins of COVID-19 in January 2020. But at that critical time, when the country was first learning about the virus, Dr. Fauci chose not to share the facts with Americans. Instead, he acted to conceal them.

On January 31, 2020, at 10:32 p.m., Dr. Fauci received an email from British researcher, Dr. Kristian Andersen. Dr. Andersen has received millions of dollars in grants from the NIH. In the email, he warned Dr. Fauci:

[O]ne has to look really closely at all the sequences to see that some of the features (potentially) look engineered . . . Eddie [Holmes], Bob [Garry], Mike [Ferguson] and myself all find the genome inconsistent with evolutionary theory.

Two hours later, at 12:29 a.m. on February 1, Dr. Fauci emailed his long-time deputy, Dr. Hugh Auchincloss. In the email, Dr. Fauci attached a paper written by Dr. Ralph Baric and Dr. Zhengli-Li Shi – the so-called “bat woman” from Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV). The paper highlighted taxpayer-funded gain-of-function research on coronaviruses conducted by the WIV. Dr. Fauci told Dr. Auchincloss:

It is essential that we speak this [morning]. Keep your cell phone on . . . read this paper . . . you will have tasks today that must be done.

Urgency. Intensity.

Two hours later, at 2:48 a.m., Dr. Fauci sent another email, to Dr. Robert Kadlec. Dr. Kadlec was the Trump-appointed Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response at the Department of Health and Human Services. Attached to this email was an article that downplayed the lab leak and advocated for an evolutionary origin to COVID-19. Dr. Fauci simply wrote:

Bob: This came out today. Gives a balanced view.

No urgency. No intensity.

Why was Dr. Fauci so concerned when emailing his deputy but so calm when emailing his boss? Why didn’t he send Dr. Kadlec the Baric-Shi paper? The paper that supported the original message from Dr. Andersen that COVID-19 looked engineered, was inconsistent with evolutionary theory, and linked American tax dollars to gain of function research at the WIV.

Later that morning, at 11:47 a.m., Dr. Auchincloss replied to Dr. Fauci:

The paper you sent me says the experiments were performed before the gain-of-function pause but have since been reviewed and approved by NIH. Not sure what this means since [we are] sure that no coronavirus work has gone through the P3 framework. [We] will try to determine if we have any distant ties to this work abroad.

Wow! Dr. Auchincloss’ email confirms Dr. Fauci’s worst fear. American tax dollars funded gain of function research at the WIV and that research didn’t go through proper oversight (the P3 framework).

Dr. Fauci already knew there was a lethal virus on the loose in Wuhan, China. In just 13 hours, between 10:32 p.m. January 31, 2020, and 11:47 a.m. February 1, 2020, Dr. Fauci learned three additional facts.

First, Dr. Fauci knew that American taxpayers had helped to fund dangerous gain-of-function research in Wuhan, China.

Second, Dr. Fauci knew this research funding did not go through the government’s required safety review process — a process known as the P3 framework.

JamesNewLeaf's Fucking Daddy said...

Third, Dr. Fauci knew that the virus “looked…engineered” and seemed to be “inconsistent with evolutionary theory.”

What did he do next?

He organized a conference call for the evening of February 1, 2020. On the call were 11 virologists from around the world, including Dr. Andersen who sent Dr. Fauci the email less than 24 hours earlier. Almost all the participants on the call had previously been awarded American taxpayer-funded grants by Dr. Fauci.

Who was not on the call?

Dr. Kadlec, Dr. Fauci’s superior at HHS.

Dr. Robert Redfield, Director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Dr. Brett Giroir, Assistant Secretary for Health.

Or Dr. Birx, the soon-to-be COVID-19 Response Coordinator.

In fact, there was not a single U.S. government official on the call, except for Dr. Fauci.

What happened on the call? We don’t know. All of the emails discussing the call are redacted.

However, we do know what happened four days later. Dr. Andersen, the virologist who sent the original 10:32 p.m. email on January 31, went public with this statement:

“The main crackpot theories going around at the moment relate to this virus being somehow engineered . . . and that is demonstrably false.”

In four days, Dr. Andersen flipped 180 degrees! The only intervening event appears to be the conference call with Dr. Fauci.

In addition, over the next few weeks, Dr. Andersen and three others on the conference call penned an article in Nature Medicine. The article included the definitive statement, that “Our analyses clearly show that SARS-CoV-2 is not a laboratory construct . . . “

In just three weeks, Dr. Andersen went from COVID-19 “looks…engineered” to “[it] is not a laboratory construct.”

Other emails also show that before this article was published, Dr. Andersen wrote to Dr. Fauci and offered to let him edit the article.

Finally, and maybe most importantly, after the article was published, Dr. Fauci cited it in a White House press briefing as an authoritative source when asked about the virus’ origins. Dr. Fauci cited the very article he put in motion on the conference call, and he was allowed to edit.

Dr. Fauci knew COVID-19 likely came from the WIV. He knew American taxpayers funded gain of function research on coronaviruses at the WIV. He knew this funding bypassed required oversight. And he knew the virus “looked…engineered” and was “inconsistent with evolutionary theory.” And he knew all this on February 1, 2020.

Information of this magnitude should have been taken directly to the President of the United States. Instead, Dr. Fauci organized a conference call with 11 non-governmental virologists to cover his tracks.

I believe it was on this call, they decided to manufacture the article in an attempt to conceal their involvement in gain of function research at the WIV. These 11 unelected scientists decided to hide the truth from the American people for more than a year.

Maybe I’m wrong. Maybe it didn’t happen this way. Maybe there’s a good explanation for why Dr. Fauci did what he did. Unfortunately, Dr. Fauci refuses to testify. Every American should be asking why.
