In spite of the President's rosy picturing of the evacuation process
Pentagon press secretary John Kirby confirmed yesterday, following the leak of a State Department cable, that only around 4,000 “American passport holders” have been evacuated, out of 10,000 to 15,000 who are believed to have been in Afghanistan when the withdrawal began.
So even the Pentagon press secretary has confirmed what leaked information has stated: that we are running well behind the pace of getting Americans out of Afghanistan by the deadline. Moreover, while the President gets up in front of Americans and tells us how many planes are coming and going and how many people overall are being evacuated, he is not specifically providing numbers on how many of those evacuees are Americans.
We don't really have to wonder why that it is. The reason is obvious. The total number or planes and the total number of people flying out of Afghanistan is a much more palatable number than providing the number of Americans. The other day (for instance) the White house gave us a number in the thousands for how many people had left afghanistan over a 48 hour period, but those closest to the situation suggested that only around 400 of them were American.
Biden's main strategy for all of this seems to be an attempt to "shame" the Taliban into allowing Americans to leave, in order to be more welcomed within the international community. You know, to create goodwill with the United States and our allies so we can all get along. This seems like a tough ask of an extremist group who have been fighting against us for 20 years and have no intention of getting along with anyone not wanting sharia rule.

I strongly believe that he will extend the deadline in order to get all the American citizens out of Afghanistan.
But the real tragedy is that far too many of our allies in the Afghanistan war will be left behind and raped and murdered by the Taliban militants.
I suspect that he will find a way to get the American citizens home.
He is going to make another speech later on today and remember that the 31st is six days away.
He is going to get pressure from all sides Scott.
Oh, if only we had Trump in place to be absolutely truthful with us!
Where did you find
those closest to the situation suggested that only around 400 of them were American.????
A cab driver picks up a nun. She’s rather young and pretty and when she gets into his cab, he can’t stop staring at her.
Finally she asks him why he’s staring and he replies, "Sister, I have a question to ask you, but I don't want to offend you.”
She answers, “My dear son, as a nun, practically nothing can offend me. What’s on your mind? I’m sure nothing you could say will upset me.”
"Well,” he says, “I've always had this strange fantasy about … about having a nun like you kiss me. I mean, really kiss me."
"Well now, let's see what we can do about that,” the nun says. “But first, you have to be single, and second, you must be Catholic."
"Yes, I’m single,” the driver says, getting excited, “and I'm Catholic too!"
"Well, then,” the nun says, "pull into that alley."
He does, and the nun lays so long and passionate a kiss on him that he is left breathless. But when they get back on the road, the cab driver starts crying.
"My dear child,” the nun says, “What’s wrong? Why are you crying?"
"Forgive me Sister, but I have sinned. I lied to you. I must confess, I'm married and I'm Jewish."
“Oh, that's OK,” the nun says. “My name is Kevin and I'm on my way to a Halloween party."

Continuing to spam the blog with this complete horse shit doesn't make it true, alky.
The Tally-Bon controls the timeline.
Biden is just an observer at this point while real men get the fucking job done.
Tell us again how Peloshee passed an "infrastructure" (LOL) bill.
How she will get it passed is too complicated for you to understand.
The New York times article explains my feelings about this.
The most salient failure of the Biden pullout is the apparent abandonment of thousands of Afghans who worked closely with the U.S. and whom the Taliban may jail, abuse or kill.
These allies have fought against the Taliban for years, served as translators for Americans and helped run civil society in Afghanistan. Many are understandably panicked. Something like 100,000 Afghans probably fall into this disparate category, experts say.
In hindsight, the solution may seem obvious: The U.S. should have helped many more Afghans leave the country before the military withdrawal. In reality, there was no easy way to do so.

Those 100,000 are at risk of their lives and their families.

Not complicated at all, little boy butt fucker.
Now it needs to pass the senate, with Sinema standing in the way.

No stupid, I don't believe THIS white house, THIS pentagon, or THIS state dept.
The WSJ simply reports the LIES they've been told.
Read your own spam, fuckhead.
There's no "adjustment" to be done to the timeline. The Tally-Bon said it's fixed at 08/31. Period. Full stop.
Everything else is face-saving bullshit by a "man" whose presidency is collapsing all around him, with a $10 whore in the on-deck circle.
Sorry alky, but there is simply no way to pick up this turd from the clean end.
Dementia Joe has failed by every conceivable and quantifiable measure.
His only responsibility going forward is to make sure his forthcoming lies include the correct pronouns.

Possible Manchin and a few other Democrats too.
And odds are the senate parliamentarian will say they will have to separate not budget items from the bill for reconciliation can be used.
They got 100% Democrats yesterday evening
In reality, there was no easy way to do so.
In reality the Brits and French have figured out how to do so while Milley Vanilli polishes his "Diversity & Inclusion" medals.

Stay in your racist lane alky, and drop the psychological projection bullshit.
Yeah that was the House and not the senate. And she scheduled the vote after nine days of arm-twisting the moderates to get het 100% of Democrats.
The ironic thing is she asked them to commit political suicide. Their districts will be the first to turn Republican during the midterms.
But you will still need a veto proof House and a veto proof Senate to completely check Biden. But it will be interesting.
Quote of the day.
When President Trump was President, you didn’t see crisis after crisis. You just didn’t see it.
Fivethirtyeight Nathaniel Rakich: “The good news for Democrats came in which parts of the country gained and lost population since the 2010 census. Despite the country’s overall population increasing by 7.4 percent, rural areas — the reddest parts of the country — have steadily lost residents over the past 10 years.”
“Overall, the average county that voted for Biden boosted its population by 3.4 percent between 2010 and 2020, while the average Trump county grew by just 0.2 percent. Strikingly, 370 out of the 538 Biden counties (69 percent) gained population, while 1,468 out of the 2,574 Trump counties (57 percent) lost residents.”
Unless you implement Jim Crow 2.0 you might lose even more Senators and congressman.
Despite the country’s overall population increasing by 7.4 percent, rural areas — the reddest parts of the country — have steadily lost residents over the past 10 years.”
Extremely deceiving. For example - A shit ton of NY'ers have left Upstate NY which is as red as red can be. Enough to greatly contribute towards the loss of a House seat.
538 SHOULD know better. They SHOULD, but can't shake the liberal ideology that blinds them.
By Chuck Todd, Mark Murray, Ben Kamisar and Benjy Sarlin
WASHINGTON — House Democrats on Tuesday resolved their procedural standoff over the infrastructure and reconciliation bills after moderates secured two concessions from Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
Concession #1: The House will vote on the Senate-passed bipartisan infrastructure bill by Sept. 27
Concession #2: The House will work only with a reconciliation bill that can get united Democratic approval in the Senate (or: 51 votes in the Senate).
It’s that second concession that seems to us to be the bigger deal, because it means that vulnerable House members won’t be voting on any measures that will be doomed in the 50-50 Senate (hello, BTU tax and cap-and-trade!).
House votes to pass $3.5 trillion budget resolution
And it also means that Sens. Joe Manchin, D-W.V., and Krysten Sinema, D-Ariz., have even more leverage over the reconciliation package than originally thought. The reason: They will have to be on board with any deal before it gets to the House.
Here’s the statement from the House moderates: “The Speaker of the House publicly agreed to only bring a reconciliation package to the House that has the backing of 51 votes in the Senate and complies with the Senate Byrd Rule.”
The quarterback calling the plays is … Joe Manchin.
Why would House Dems want to give the Senate veto power over their own bill? They can prevent a situation where they’re pressured into voting for a much larger, more progressive, and more controversial bill that leaves them open to midterm attacks only to have it superseded by whatever Manchin and Sinema demand in the end.
Pelosi has experience with this: Members who voted on a sweeping climate bill before the 2010 midterms were left out on a limb when the Senate failed to do the same and the legislation ended up in attack ads.
In fact, Manchin himself famously shot the cap-and-trade bill in his own commercial.
_
Before Thanksgiving holiday the President and the Democrats will have passed both bills.
New York is not in play for the Republicans no matter what the census shows

Wow Alky way to prove rat’s point
Unless you implement Jim Crow 2.0 you might lose even more Senators and congressman.
Check your facts alky.
First of all, the number of senators per state is fixed at two. You simply can't just "lose" one.
Second, the net outflow is from blue states to red. Those fleeing from red are fleeing TO red. Upstate NY being the classic example.
I know you're in the business of creating false hope for the mid-terms and I know you rely on hacks like 538 to help you with that, but the reality you face is daunting and will never make your wildest dreams come true.
When the President of the United States makes a decision, his decisions may cause this.
WASHINGTON — With President Joe Biden intending to stick to the Aug. 31 deadline for U.S. troops to leave Afghanistan, it's becoming clear that thousands of the Afghans who helped the U.S. won't be evacuated, a scenario that has engendered deep frustration inside U.S. national security agencies.
"People are furious and disgusted," said a former U.S. intelligence official who declined to be quoted by name. A defense official said he grew nauseated as he considered how many Afghan allies would be left behind.
At the CIA, "officers feel a real sense of obligation, moral obligation and personal obligation" to the Afghans they supported and trained, said former CIA Director John Brennan, an NBC News national security consultant.
But the precarious situation for U.S. troops on the ground left Biden with no good options to extend their presence, military officials said.
-----
President's make life and death decisions.
President Biden is much better than the former President, in making decisions.
In hindsight, the solution may seem obvious: The U.S. should have helped many more Afghans leave the country before the military withdrawal. In reality, there was no easy way to do so.
Not sure why there is a "may" attached to that.
A few weeks ago the US and Afghan forces controlled the entire city of Kabul. They controlled it 100%. People were free to come and go as they pleased. There was no Taliban presence, much less Taliban control.
We could have literally transported out as many people as we needed to prior to withdrawing any of our troops. The fact that there are some people acting as if that idea was not just obvious to everyone... it part of the reason why people just lose confidence in everything.
You have to follow simple logic and common sense.

Anywhere north of the Tappan Zee outside of the upstate cities is bright blood RED. The blue dot cities are full of welfare parasites and union scum.
I have a rolodex chock full of friends who who stretch from NC to the Florida Keys. ALL born and raised in Upstate NY, and all who have fled to areas with more freedom and less economic failure and oppression.
And our new governor? Just as much of a tyrannical asshole as the last one, only this one has tits. Yay.

Trump had already reduced the number of troops in Afghanistan months before he was replaced by Biden.
Had Trump followed the agreement to withdraw in May. It would have been the same situation.
Do you think it may have been better?
That's why I never debate him
The U.S. should have helped many more Afghans leave the country before the military withdrawal. In reality, there may not have been easy way to do so.
However hard it was it’s easier than getting them out now.
Lindon Johnson once said someting like,
"We shouldn't be sending American boys to do the fighting that Asian [and Middle Eastern] boys should be doing."
And yet Johnson did exactly that.
And so did George W. and Cheney.
Trump had already reduced the number of troops in Afghanistan months before he was replaced by Biden.
And?
The Afghan government with US help was still 100% in control of the entire city of Kabul as well as much of the country. You argued not too long ago that the Taliban had almost no control in Afghanistan when it first became a concern even a few months ago.
Had Trump followed the agreement to withdraw in May. It would have been the same situation.
Why?
The withdrawal was not the problem. The lack of preparation was.
Had Biden decided a month ago to start evacuating Americans and Afghan friendly nationals in advance of the upcoming withdrawal, then we would not have been in this situation.
More to the point, there were plenty of people from the Pentagon to the State department to his own advisors who told him not to start the withdrawal prior to starting the evacuation.
There was even people questioning this before the problems occured. Remember Biden demanding that this was not going to turn into another situation where we lost control of the situation and had to start flying people off the roof of an Embassy?
He was question by people who suggested that he was wrong to do it in this order and he demanded that it wouldn't' happen.
It's no "secret" that Biden and some were "surprised" by the fast rise of the Taliban in spite of others who warned it would happen. The reality is that he thought he could withdrawal and still have plenty of time to get people out.
This was not unanticipated.
Lot's of people warned this would happen.
There were alternatives.
To pretend NOW that there were no warnings, that nobody could have seen it coming, and that there were no other options is just downright insulting to common sense and the truth.
This lying as much as the incompetence is why Biden's approvals are nosediving. Who can trust what they say right now? If they are willing to lie when people can clearly see the truth? Who says they won't just continue to lie.
Deep beneath and far beyond all of this will still echo with the American people--
THANK GOD WE ARE OUT OF THERE AT LAST!!!!
(Should never have gotten that deeply in,
should have gotten out much, much sooner.)
Sorry Reverend...
I don't think most people really cared that we had 3500 soldiers stationed in Afghanistan without a single American life lost in over two years. I don't think it kept anyone awake at night. It was one of those questions when asked we might say yes or no, but not really give much of a bigger shit.
But if the Taliban starts making trouble in the region and starts reinforcing their Sharia laws and abusing women and using Afghanistan to plan and execute terror attacks.
Then a fickle public who maybe once thought we should leave will see it as a mistake, because that is how people think. We don't need to maintain a consistent opinion, especially on things we know very little about. But if there is a major fuckup, we hold people accountable.
When he failed to repeal Obamacare you didn't hold him accountable, instead like he did, you condemned Senator John Mcain.
Not once did you hold him accountable!
This lying as much as the incompetence is why Biden won the election.
Underneath you are still supporting Trump
Well Roger...
If lying and incompetence is why you say you voted against Trump (and not personal hatred and political partisanship).
Then I will assume you will be voting against Biden if he runs again. Nobody (and I mean nobody) can claim that him and his press secretary are not lying through their teeth and nobody can claim that he has been competent in much of anything.
Trump had already reduced the number of troops in Afghanistan months before he was replaced by Biden.
And yet the Taliban was kept at bay. Now why is that the case? Could it be that Trump was doing withdrawal smarter than Biden. Or that the Taliban feared Trump would come back with the fury of God should the Taliban go back on its word.
Or both.
Fury and disgust at CIA, Pentagon, in Congress that thousands of Afghans will be left behind
Evacuations are likely to slow greatly by Friday to give U.S. troops time to withdraw. That's not enough time to evacuate all the Afghans who helped the U.S.
