Bear spray and IEDs were used to attack the crowd, which included children as young as toddlers
Yeah... and they simply took their PA system and threw it into the river. Also took their food and water. Nice. Guess who sat on the sidelines watching and doing nothing? You guessed it. The Portland police department. What's a little assault, theft, and destruction of property between enemies.
Nice to know that Antifa can just attack whomever they want. Use chemicals, throw IEDs into a crowd (that includes children) and then destroy personal property... all because they apparently don't like this particular Pastor and the fact that he is holding religious ceremonies.
Where was this attack planned? On twitter of course! Apparently it is entirely okay to plan coordinated assaults on social media. You just need to have the right cause! Attacking toddlers with bear spray and homemade explosives in the name of anti-religion is a perfectly acceptable cause!
And the authorities in Portland will do nothing about it? Go figure. Bu that is the world that has been created by liberalism in cities like Portland. But hey, at least we are holding the unarmed guy who didn't harm anyone without bail in D.C. for the past eight months over charges that have a maximum sentence of six. Proves we have our priorities right, huh?

I'm not surprised that you left out the fact that four people were arrested.
Portland police arrested four people during an eight-hour protest in downtown Portland on Saturday, Aug. 4. Those arrested were:
• Robert Joseph Majure, 27, was arrested near Southwest Naito Parkway and Columbia Street on charges of harassment and resisting arrest.
• Tracy Lynn Molina, 45, was arrested near Southwest Second Avenue and Columbia Street on charges of second-degree disorderly conduct and attempted assault on a police officer.
• Tristan Isaac Rominemann, 28, was arrested near Southwest Naito Parkway and Columbia Street on charges of interfering with a police officer, second-degree disorderly conduct and harassment.
• Joseph C. Evans, 34, was arrested near Southwest Second Avenue and Jefferson Street on charges of recklessly endangering and unlawful use of a weapon.

"Unfortunately, today, some people chose to commit illegal acts of violence, which required members of the Police Bureau to take action in order to keep all participants and non-participants safe," Police Chief Danielle Outlaw said in a statement. "This was a dangerous situation for all those involved, including officers, and I am disheartened that this kind of illegal behavior occurred in our beautiful city."

An improvised explosive device (IED) is a bomb constructed and deployed in ways other than in conventional military action. It may be constructed of conventional military explosives, such as an artillery shell, attached to a detonating mechanism. IEDs are commonly used as roadside bombs.

Shocking video recorded at the violent event show dozens of armed Antifa members in black bloc and riot gear moving in to physically confront attendees of the event. One of the Antifa members sprayed a congregant with an unidentified, gas-like substance that is suspected to be pepper spray. The congregation took several steps back to avoid injury.
"Where is your god now?" an Antifa member can be heard saying in the video. After pulling apart the sound system, the Antifa toss the equipment into the Willamette River.
A woman can be seen panicking as she and her fellow parishioners backed away to avoid further altercation.
"They threw a flash bomb into a group of kids," said a female attendee who spoke to a videographer at the scene while the injured were being treated. An Antifa account on Twitter later posted that they stole the Christian attendees' food and water.

“The G10 is on the cusp of a victory lap for getting a seemingly impossible infrastructure deal through the Senate — but the process also shows how a closely divided Congress has undercut the traditional power brokers,” Axios reports.
“Committee chairs and their staffers told Axios they’re furious — ‘pissed’ is the term one used — with how the bipartisan group bypassed traditional processes to produce a bill directly with the White House. And they worry it’s part of a shifting power dynamic on Capitol Hill.”'

“Mainstream Democrats have been winning a lot of big primaries in 2021. Their latest win came on Tuesday in the primary for Ohio’s 11th Congressional District special election: local legislator and party chair Shontel Brown — backed by South Carolina Rep. Jim Clyburn and 2016 presidential nominee Hillary Clinton — defeated Nina Turner, former co-chair of Sen. Bernie Sanders’ 2020 campaign.
“But while that win and those that came in other 2021 elections can be seen as moderates beating progressives, what it really shows is HOW DEMOCRATIC VOTERS ACTUALLY LIKE THEIR PARTY AND ITS LEADERSHIP. THIS MARKS A MAJOR DIFFERENCE ETWEEN DEMOCATIC AND REPUBLICAN VOTERS.”

The Reconstruction of the 21st century is going to pass on Tuesday August 11th.
The bipartisan infrastructure deal embraced by President Joe Biden and shaped by a gang of 10 senators is inching closer to clearing the chamber, with one more filibuster to clear on Sunday before the bill can pass later this week and land in the the House.
Absent a deal to speed up the legislation and consider more amendments, the Senate is slated to vote shortly before 8 p.m. on Sunday to close down debate on a bill that sends $550 billion in new money into the nation’s physical infrastructure. After that, Senate passage of the bill is slated for sometime Tuesday, unless agreement is reached among all 100 senators to speed it up. A 50-hour budget debate and an unlimited vote-a-rama on nonbinding but politically symbolic topics will follow immediately after.

A Georgia Republican state senator who has backed several initiatives to overturn the state's 2020 election results has formally entered the race for lieutenant governor.
George state Sen. Burt Jones (R) filed paperwork this weekend to enter the race with hopes of receiving former President Trump ’s backing after the two met earlier this year at Mar-a-Lago, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.
In December, Jones supported an unsuccessful lawsuit waged by officials in Texas seeking to overturn the 2020 election results in several states, including Georgia, the AJC noted. The move ultimately cost him his chairmanship of the state’s Senate Insurance and Labor Committee.
Along with a handful of other state senators, Jones also sought a special session regarding overturning the presidential election results in Georgia, The Associated Press reported.
Speaking to Georgians in Rome on Saturday, he touted his move in December to overturn the state’s 2020 election results, saying he was “punished” for advocacy. The remarks drew praise from those at the gathering, the AJC reported.
Echoing comments made by Trump, he said on Saturday that there was a “real swamp” in Georgia.
He also participated in an event with Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) where “Trump Won” signs were given out during a “Election Integrity Town Hall,” the AP noted
He's not sane, he never was stable but when he had the covid-19 virus, he had an oxygen problem.
It’s been a wild year or so for us all, so you’d be forgiven for thinking it went by in a flash and forgetting a few things. Yet, when ex-president Donald Trump appeared to forget that he was in charge when the coronavirus pandemic began last year, we couldn’t help but raise an eyebrow.
The “confusing” remarks came as Trump spoke on the phone to Fox News’ Dan Bongino, during his Unfiltered programme on Saturday.
Speaking to the presenter, Trump asked: “Could you imagine if I were president right now and we had this massive attack from the coronavirus?
“I never liked to call it that. They have new names, then they have other new names, but it’s exactly what we had.”
We don’t need to imagine it, Trump, because it happened.
In one of the wildest moments during his presidency – and indeed, during the pandemic – the Republican suggested bringing ultraviolet light or “a very powerful light” inside the body to or injecting disinfectant to kill the coronavirus.
“I see the disinfectant that knocks it out in a minute, one minute. Is there a way we can do something like that by injection inside or almost a cleaning? It gets in the lungs and it does a tremendous number,” Trump said.
In October last year, the then-president tested positive for coronavirus and was admitted to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.
The New York Times claimed in February that Trump’s oxygen levels were in fact so low that doctors feared he would need a ventilator.
Then, on 19th January 2021 - his penultimate day in office - it was revealed that the coronavirus death toll for the United States had passed 400,000 people.
Twitter has since been left confused by how Trump could seemingly forget all of this:

A Hotter Future Is Certain, Climate Panel Warns. But How Hot Is Up to Us.
Some devastating impacts of global warming are now unavoidable, a major new scientific report finds. But there is still a short window to stop things from getting even worse.
Aug. 9, 2021
Updated 4:24 a.m. ET
Nations have delayed curbing their fossil-fuel emissions for so long that they can no longer stop global warming from intensifying over the next 30 years, though there is still a short window to prevent the most harrowing future, a major new United Nations scientific report has concluded.
Humans have already heated the planet by roughly 1.1 degrees Celsius, or 2 degrees Fahrenheit, since the 19th century, largely by burning coal, oil and gas for energy. And the consequences can be felt across the globe: This summer alone, blistering heat waves have killed hundreds of people in the United States and Canada, floods have devastated Germany and China, and wildfires have raged out of control in Siberia, Turkey and Greece.
But that’s only the beginning, according to the report, issued on Monday by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, a body of scientists convened by the United Nations. Even if nations started sharply cutting emissions today, total global warming is likely to rise around 1.5 degrees Celsius within the next two decades, a hotter future that is now essentially locked in.
At 1.5 degrees of warming, scientists have found, the dangers grow considerably. Nearly 1 billion people worldwide could swelter in more frequent life-threatening heat waves. Hundreds of millions more would struggle for water because of severe droughts. Some animal and plant species alive today will be gone. Coral reefs, which sustain fisheries for large swaths of the globe, will suffer more frequent mass die-offs.
“We can expect a significant jump in extreme weather over the next 20 or 30 years,” said Piers Forster, a climate scientist at the University of Leeds and one of hundreds of international experts who helped write the report. “Things are unfortunately likely to get worse than they are today.”
Not all is lost, however, and humanity can still prevent the planet from getting even hotter. Doing so would require a coordinated effort among countries to stop adding carbon dioxide to the atmosphere by around 2050, which would entail a rapid shift away from fossil fuels starting immediately, as well as potentially removing vast amounts of carbon from the air. If that happened, global warming would likely halt and level off at around 1.5 degrees Celsius, the report concludes.
‘Every little bit counts’
Monday’s report underscores that humans have a profound opportunity to shape a better future by sharply reducing emissions.

Roger, China is building 100 coal burning plants a year.
57% of their electricity needs come from coal.
Fix that.
We are now much better at integrating all the information,” said Gavin Schmidt, NASA’s senior climate adviser and director of the Goddard Institute for Space Sciences in New York, who wasn’t involved with the report.
Last year, global temperatures tied for the warmest on record, capping the warmest decade in modern times. Oceans are warming, and sea level is increasing by 3.7 mm, or about 0.1 inch, a year, the scientists said in the report. Mountain glaciers, sea ice and polar ice sheets are steadily melting. Weather around the world has grown more extreme by many measures, the scientists said, with more frequent heat waves and prolonged droughts in some regions and heavier rainfall and flooding in others.
“When you see what has happened this summer with heat waves in Canada and the heavy precipitation in Germany, I think this is showing that even highly developed countries are not spared,” said Sonia Seneviratne, a senior scientist at ETH Zurich in Switzerland and a lead co-author of the report. “We don’t really have time to adapt anymore because the change is happening so quickly.”

U.S. Abandons Afghanistan
August 9, 2021 at 6:42 am EDT By Taegan Goddard
New York Times:
“If the Taliban had seized three provincial capitals in northern Afghanistan a year ago, like they did on Sunday, the American response would most likely have been ferocious. Fighter jets and helicopter gunships would have responded in force, beating back the Islamist group or, at the very least, stalling its advance.”
“But these are different times. What aircraft the U.S. military could muster from hundreds of miles away struck a cache of weapons far from Kunduz, Taliqan or Sari-i-pol, the cities that already had been all but lost to the Taliban. The muted American response on Sunday showed in no uncertain terms that America’s 20-year war in Afghanistan is over. The mismanaged and exhausted Afghan forces will have to retake the cities on their own, or leave them to the Taliban for good.”
Biden’s Approval Slips
August 9, 2021 at 6:38 am EDT By Taegan Goddard
Playbook:
“For months, Biden’s approval has been extraordinarily steady. But a few pollsters have detected a recent dip that is making Dems nervous. Even such a small change — and this one seems tied to the reemergence of the coronavirus pandemic — could have big consequences in 2022 given the tight margins in Congress.”
Harry Enten:
“None of these polls or the average show a massive decline in Biden’s approval rating. Together, though, they seem to be telling a story that Biden’s approval rating has leaked a little bit. This wouldn’t be a story if it weren’t for the fact that Biden’s approval rating has been so steady.”
The Infrastructure Bill Timeline
August 9, 2021 at 6:14 am EDT By Taegan Goddard
Punchbowl News:
“Here’s a question that’s bouncing around Senate circles: Will the Senate vote to pass the infrastructure bill at 4 a.m. Tuesday morning? That’s the earliest the chamber can vote on final passage for the $1 trillion measure, if there’s no agreement to speed things up.
“But Schumer can try to get consent to move the vote to a more rational time, let’s say 11 a.m., for instance. But as we saw over the weekend, any one senator can block a time agreement. So we won’t believe that will happen until it happens.
“Schumer plans to move right into the debate over the budget resolution as soon as the infrastructure bills passes. There’s 50 hours of debate divided equally between both sides, and then a ‘vote-a-rama.’”
Janet Yellen Weighs In on the Debt Limit
August 9, 2021 at 6:06 am EDT By Taegan Goddard
Punchbowl News:
“Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen will tell Congress today to lift the debt limit using ‘regular order,’ which means not through a reconciliation bill, according to a statement Yellen will release later today.
“This is a big deal because Senate Democrats are going to release their $3.5 trillion budget resolution this morning, and if they want to lift the debt limit using this parliamentary procedure, they would have to include instructions for that in the resolution. A reconciliation bill can’t be filibustered and requires only a simple majority to pass, which makes it an attractive vehicle to lift the nation’s borrowing limit.”
Playbook:
“Until now the Biden administration hasn’t taken a position. Yellen’s statement is a clear sign that the reconciliation bill, which will be released later today, will not address the debt ceiling and that the two parties are headed toward a showdown, likely in late September, when Democrats may add a debt ceiling increase to a short-term funding measure needed to avert a government shutdown.”

“Notably absent was Kathy Hochul, his lieutenant governor.”
“When Mr. Cuomo published a book that portrayed him as a heroic leader during the pandemic, he highlighted the roles played by a slew of his top aides. He made no mention of Ms. Hochul.

Cuomo’s Top Aide Resigns

“The top aide
to New York Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo resigned on Sunday night after the release last week of a searing report by the state attorney general’s office that detailed her role in an effort to discredit a former aide who accused Cuomo of harassment,” the Washington Post reports.
“The departure of Melissa DeRosa, who held the title of secretary to the governor, represents a huge blow to Cuomo. She served as his fiercest defender and top aide since 2017, and was considered the ultimate loyalist after working for him for the past decade.”
Albany Times Union:

Senate Votes to End Debte on Infrastructure Bill

“Senators voted 68-29 to end debate on the bill, which required 60 votes.”
CBS News:
“The final vote could happen late Monday or early Tuesday morning unless the opponents yield back some of their time.”
New Revelations Expose Future Threat Trump Poses
August 9, 2021 at 1:20 am EDT By Taegan Goddard
Stephen Collinson:
“A burst of new disclosures exposing the extraordinary efforts by ex-President Donald Trump to steal power after his election defeat constitute a grave warning about the future and his potential bid to recapture the White House.
“The audacity of the former President’s attempts to subvert the law by weaponizing the Justice Department not only underscores how close the United States came to a full blown constitutional crisis this year. It also emphasizes that any attempt by Trump to use a war chest already worth $100 million to try to recapture the White House in 2024 would represent a mortal threat to democracy and the rule of law from a leader who was undeterred even by his own first impeachment.”

But to his credit, he still did not invite her, and she did not go. Lol.

China’s Fight Against Climate Change and Environmental Degradation
China’s carbon emissions threaten global efforts to fight climate change. Its broader environmental degradation endangers economic growth, public health, and government legitimacy. Are Beijing’s policies enough?
______
China is the world’s top emitter, producing more than a quarter of the world’s annual greenhouse gas emissions, which contribute to climate change.
It pledged to cut emissions under the Paris Agreement, reduce coal use, and invest in renewable energy. But its Belt and Road Initiative still finances coal-fired power plants abroad.
Air pollution, water scarcity, and soil contamination remain threats to the health and livelihoods of China’s people, increasing dissatisfaction with the government.
Introduction
China’s environmental crisis, the result of decades of rapid industrialization, not only threatens the health and livelihoods of the country’s 1.4 billion people but also the global fight against climate change. As the world’s largest source of greenhouse gas emissions in recent years, China suffers from notoriously bad air pollution. Its carbon-intensive industries have caused additional environmental challenges, including water scarcity and soil contamination. And, like the rest of the world, China will face increasingly harsh consequences of climate change in the coming decades, including flooding and droughts.
In response, Beijing has implemented policies to curb emissions and stem further degradation, such as by signing the 2015 Paris Agreement on climate and pledging to be carbon neutral by 2060. However, following through won’t be easy, experts say, as the government struggles to maintain economic growth; ease public discontent; and overcome tensions with the United States, the second-largest emitter.
Inventor of COVID vaccine technology says Biden vaccine policy will 'cause more harm than good'
Universal vaccination strategy is "bad science and badly needs a reboot."
he inventor of the basic technology used to develop the COVID-19 vaccines is warning that the Biden administration's aggressive universal vaccination policy is "bad science" that may very well "cause more harm than good."
Robert Malone, an immunologist and epidemiologist who identifies himself as the inventor of "the core mRNA technology being used by Pfizer and Moderna to produce their vaccines," wrote in the Washington Times this week that the Biden administration's "strategy to universally vaccinate in the middle of the pandemic is bad science and badly needs a reboot."
Malone, who coauthored the op-ed with former Trump Defense Production Act Policy Coordinator Peter Navarro, claimed that Biden's universal vaccination/herd immunity approach to ending the pandemic is "flawed," in part because "the virus is now so deeply embedded in the world population that, unlike polio and smallpox, eradication is unachievable."
Malone also argued that the vaccines, "while good at preventing severe disease and death ... only reduce, not eliminate, the risk of infection, replication, and transmission," and that they carry the risk of "by no means trivial" side effects, including "serious cardiac and thrombotic conditions, menstrual cycle disruptions, Bell's Palsy, Guillain Barre syndrome, and anaphylaxis."
Virologists, Malone claimed, also fear potential further side effects, including "existential reproductive risks," as well as "various forms of disease enhancement, i.e., the vaccines can make people more vulnerable to reinfection by SARS-CoV-2 or reactivation of latent viral infections and associated diseases such as shingles."
The vaccines also present the risk of an "arms race," warned Malone, arguing "the more people you vaccinate, the greater the number of vaccine-resistant mutations you are likely to get, the less durable the vaccines will become, ever more powerful vaccines will have to be developed, and individuals will be exposed to more and more risk."
"We are simply saying that just because you have a big vaccine hammer, it is not necessarily wise to use it for every nail," the authors write. "The American people deserve better than a universal vaccination strategy under the flag of bad science and enforced through authoritarian measures."

Early life and education
Robert Malone graduated from the University of California Davis, and received his MD from Northwestern University.[1]
Career
In the 1980s, while a researcher at the Salk Institute, Malone conducted studies on messenger ribonucleic acid (mRNA) technology, discovering that it was possible to transfer mRNA protected by a liposome into cultured cells to signal the information needed for the production of proteins.[2][3] In the early 1990s, he collaborated with Jon A. Wolff, Dennis A. Carson, and others on a study that first suggested the possibility of synthesizing mRNA in a laboratory to trigger the production of a desired protein.[4] Malone claims to be the inventor of mRNA vaccines, although credit for the distinction is more often given to later advancements by Katalin Karikó or Derrick Rossi.[5][2][6][7]
Malone has served as director of clinical affairs for Avancer Group, a member of the scientific advisory board of EpiVax, assistant professor at the University of Maryland Baltimore school of medicine, and an adjunct associate professor of biotechnology at Kennesaw State University.[8] He was CEO and co-founder of Atheric Pharmaceutical,[9] which in 2016 was contracted by the U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases to assist in the development of a treatment for the Zika virus by evaluating the efficacy of existing drugs.[10][11][12][13] Until 2020, Malone was chief medical officer at Alchem Laboratories, a Florida pharmaceutical company.[14]
China alone is firing up a new coal plant every eight to 10 days. We could close every coal mine in Kentucky and West Virginia and achieve absolutely nothing except devastating Appalachia and, in effect, shipping its economic lifeblood to China.
The only way forward on greenhouse gases is global reduction by global agreement. A pact with China would be a good start.
Unfortunately, the Obama-Xi agreement is nothing of the sort. It is a fraud of Gruberian (as in Jonathan) proportions. Its main plank commits China to begin cutting carbon emissions 16 years from now. On the other hand, the United States, having already cut more carbon emissions than any nation on earth since 2005, must now double its current rate of carbon cutting to meet a new, more restrictive goal by 2025. In return for which, China will keep increasing its carbon emissions year after year throughout that period — and for five years beyond.
Historic. Such is the ubiquitous description of the climate agreement recently announced in Beijing between Barack Obama and Xi Jinping in which China promised for the first time to cap carbon emissions.
If this were a real breakthrough, I’d be an enthusiastic supporter. I have long advocated for a tangible global agreement to curb carbon. I do remain skeptical about the arrogant, ignorant claim that climate science is “settled,” that it can predict with accuracy future “global warming” effects and that therefore we must cut emissions radically, immediately and unilaterally if necessary, even at potentially ruinous economic and social cost.
I nonetheless believe (and have written since 1988) that pumping increasing amounts of CO2 into the atmosphere cannot be a good thing. We don’t know nearly enough about the planet’s homeostatic mechanisms for dealing with it, but prudence would dictate reducing CO2 emissions when and where we can.
However, anything beyond that, especially the radical unilateralism advocated by climate alarmists, would be not just economic suicide but economic suicide without purpose. It would do nothing to reduce atmospheric CO2 as long as China, India and the other developing nations more than make up for our cuts with their huge and increasing carbon emissions.
If this sounds like the most one-sided deal since Manhattan sold for $24 in 1626, you heard right. It becomes even more absurd when you realize that, according to the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, China was on track to plateau its carbon emissions around 2030 anyway because of a projected slowdown in urbanization, population growth and heavy industry production. We cut, they coast.
The carbon-emission graph is stark. China’s line is nearly vertical; America’s is already inflected and headed downward. The Obama-Xi agreement simply ratifies U.S. unilateralism — the U.S. line declines even more steeply, while China’s continues rocketing upward unmolested.
COVID-19
In early 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic, Malone was involved in research into the heartburn medicine famotidine (Pepcid) as a potential COVID-19 treatment following anecdotal evidence suggesting that it may have been associated with higher COVID-19 survival. Malone, then with Alchem Laboratories, suspected famotidine may target an enzyme that the virus (SARS-COV-2) uses to reproduce, and recruited a computational chemist to help design a 3D-model of the enzyme based on the viral sequence and comparisons to the 2003 SARS virus.[15][16] After encouraging preliminary results, Alchem Laboratories, in conjunction with New York's Northwell Health, initiated a clinical trial on famotidine and hydroxychloroquine.[15] Malone resigned from Alchem shortly after the trial began and Northwell paused the trial due to a shortage of hospitalized patients.[14][17]
Malone received criticism for propagating COVID-19 misinformation, including making unsupported claims about the alleged toxicity of spike proteins generated by some COVID-19 vaccines, and tweeting a study by others questioning vaccine safety THAT WAS LATER RETRACTED. He said LinkedIn suspended his account over what he claimed were posts he had made questioning the efficacy of some COVID-19 vaccines.[3][7][18][19]
With another researcher, Malone successfully proposed to the publishers of Frontiers in Pharmacology a special issue featuring early observational studies on existing medication used in the treatment of COVID-19, for which they recruited other guest editors, contributors, and reviewers. Malone and most other guest editors resigned in April 2021, when the journal rejected two of the papers selected: one on famotidine co-authored by Malone and another submitted by physician Pierre Kory on the use of ivermectin.[17]
So much for F'n's expert.
Proponents of the Obama-Xi deal will then point to a second provision: China’s promise to produce 20 percent of its energy from non-carbon sources by 2030. But China had already been planning to begin substituting for its immense use of fossil fuels (mainly by using nuclear power) because Chinese cities are being choked to death by their traditional pollutants — sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxide, mercury compounds, particulates, etc.
These are serious health hazards. CO2 is not. Whatever its atmospheric effects, CO2 does not poison the air. So in return for yet another Chinese transition that has nothing to do with CO2, Obama has committed the United States to drastic CO2 cuts.
Climate enthusiasts will say that I refuse to take yes for an answer. Of course I would take yes for an answer. But the Obama-Xi agreement is not yes. It is “check back with me in 16 years.” Aren’t the people advocating this deal the same garment-rending climate apocalypticists who’ve been warning of irreversible planetary changes beginning now, and the supreme imperative of acting immediately?
Except, you see, for China, the world’s No. 1 carbon polluter. It gets a 16-year pass.

“Senate Majority Leader
Chuck Schumer on Monday released the full text of Democrats’ $3.5 trillion budget resolution, which the Senate is expected to pass without any Republican votes as early as this week,” Axios reports.
“What it doesn’t include: Language that would lift the debt limit. This means Senate Democrats face an ugly fight with Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell and Republicans over raising the limit, as they’ll need at least 10 GOP votes to meet the 60-vote requirement under regular order.”

Delta Vanquishes All Variant Rivals
August 9, 2021 at 8:46 am EDT By Taegan Goddard
Washington Post:
“The coronavirus pandemic in America has become a delta pandemic. By the end of July, it accounted for 93.4 percent of new infections, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The speed with which it dominated the pandemic has left scientists nervous about what the virus will do next. The variant battles of 2021 are part of a longer war, one that is far from over.
“Epidemiologists had hoped getting 70 or 80 percent of the population vaccinated, in combination with immunity from natural infections, would bring the virus under control. But a more contagious virus means the vaccination target has to be much higher, perhaps in the range of 90 percent. Globally, that could take years.”
Minimum Wages Rise on Their Own
August 9, 2021 at 8:43 am EDT By Taegan Goddard
Washington Post:
“Wages have been rising rapidly as the economy reopens and businesses struggle to hire enough workers. Some of the biggest gains have gone to workers in some of the lowest-paying industries. Overall, nearly 80 percent of U.S. workers now earn at least $15 an hour, up from 60 percent in 2014.
“This higher pay is likely to be permanent as wages rarely fall once they move up. Economists caution that a higher average wage is not the same as a $15 minimum wage… Nonetheless, rising pay is still a game-changer for millions of workers.”

With one hysterical tweet after another, Feigl-Ding went from having a small social media following to accumulating a massive army of influence. Feigl-Ding’s consistent elevation of fear and panic, doom and gloom, and his relentless themes of chaos and destruction related to a virus with a 99.8% recovery rate has brought his accounts millions of clicks and views, and hundreds of thousands of new followers.
And he did it all without having a clue what he’s talking about.
The ‘Charlatan’
At the beginning of 2020, Feigl-Ding was an unpaid, visiting scientist in Harvard’s nutrition department. His academic research centered entirely around nutrition, diet, and exercise. If Eric Feigl-Ding was interested in pandemics and the study of viruses, his research and academic credentials did not reflect that.
When the coronavirus pandemic began to make waves in the media, everything changed. Feigl-Ding, an aspiring politician, appeared to see an opening to influence the masses and build up his brand.
Feigl-Ding’s rise to coronavirus stardom began with this since-deleted tweet falsely describing the coronavirus as “the most virulent virus epidemic the world has ever seen.”

They always tell us to “follow the science” as it pertains to Covid-19, lockdowns, and particularly the so-called “vaccines” they’re peddling. Well, Dr. Robert Malone quite literally IS THE SCIENCE when it comes to mRNA vaccine technology. He invented it.
But instead of falling in line like so many of the doctors and scientists complicit in promoting The Great Reset and advancing vaccine ubiquity, Dr. Malone has been asking the questions that too few have dared to utter. He wonders why the data is being suppressed, especially as it pertains to side effects from the Covid-19 injections. He questions the apparent cover-up of clear data showing lipid nanoparticles accumulating in “high concentrations” in ovaries of women who get the shots. He sees the alleged science and wonders why it’s not being handled in a very scientific manner.
Far too many Americans have not heard of Dr. Robert Malone because he is being completely deleted from digital society. His Wikipedia, social media, videos, and podcasts are being systematically wiped from existence. He represents the anomaly in their plans to vaccinate everyone whether they want or need to be vaccinated or not, and that makes him dangerous.
Below, Dr. Joseph Mercola details some of the ways Dr. Malone has been erased so far. It’s ongoing; one is hard-pressed to find him anywhere online unless they’re getting their news from alternative outlets (like us) or they’re seeing his videos on Rumble. The Liberty Daily has three important videos of Dr. Malone stored for posterity and reference.
This cannot be stated enough: Dr. Robert Malone must be uncanceled. The fact that there is such a coordinated and concerted effort to keep him out of the public eye tells us all we need to know. They’re absolutely terrified of him, not only because he is the predominant authority on mRNA vaccine technology but because he’s not a “crazy anti-vaxxer.” He represents the vaxx-pushers’ greatest nightmare as someone who knows about the injections, the technology behind them, and the side-effects that are being scantily reported by the press.
Big Tech, the medical world, government, and mainstream media are all trying to prevent as many people as possible from ever hearing his name. We must be the ones getting the word out there. He must be heard, and people must be made to listen. Here’s the article by Dr. Mercola detailing Dr. Malone’s cancelation. It’s enough evidence to make anyone realize just how terrified the powers-that-be are of his message reaching the masses.

(Report) Israel: Vaccination provides 'far less' protection than previous Covid infection
Israelis who were vaccinated were reportedly 6.72 times more likely to get infected after the shot than after natural infection
According to reports from Israel: recovered Covid patients are "far less likely to become infected" than vaccinated people.
That data comes from Israel's Health Ministry regarding the country's latest wave of the pandemic.
The data reportedly shows:
7,700 new cases of Covid during wave starting in May
3,000+ (40%) were reported in people who had been vaccinated
72 (<1%) were reported in people previously infected
According to reports, 835,792 Israelis are known to have recovered from Covid. So 72 reinfections amount to 0.0086% of people who were already infected with COVID.
By contrast, Israelis who were vaccinated were 6.72 times more likely to get infected after the shot than after natural infection, with over 3,000 of the 5,193,499, or 0.0578%, of Israelis who were vaccinated getting infected in the latest wave.

Tucker's Orwellian Tour
The Right's new Fascist Temptation
Charlie Sykes
In Tucker’s Brave New World, we are supposed to regard Europe’s most authoritarian regime as somehow “freer” than we are. It’s a bold play, even for the Fox News host, who is no stranger to inverted political morality.
With his visit to Budapest — and lavish praise for fascist-adjacent strongman Viktor Orban — Carlson is moving the Right’s Overton Window by explicitly embracing post-democratic illiberalism. His new version of “conservatism” also requires a dramatic revision of our idea of “freedom.”
After all, what is Tucker actually talking about?
Is he arguing that Hungary’s rigged elections are more free than ours? Or that the Orban-dominated media has greater freedom of the press?
When Tucker says Hungary is more free than we are, is he talking about the new ban of depictions of homosexuality, or Orban’s evisceration of academic freedom in the country’s universities? (Surely, he’s not talking about the freedom to keep and bear arms, since Hungary’s gun laws are far tougher than ours?)
Or it is just possible that Tucker’s Orban-fandom has nothing to do with freedom at all? Greg Sargent describes Carlson’s fawning interview with the authoritarian leader:
The interview’s central feature is Carlson gushing over Orban’s virulently anti-immigrant policies and demagoguery. Orban describes these as urgent to defending national identity, defined as his country’s “population” and “culture” and “language” and “tradition” and “land,” a right of defense dictated by “God” and “nature.”
Orban also castigates liberal internationalist Western leaders for wanting to intermingle “Muslim” and “Christian” communities, describing the latter as “original inhabitants.” Orban declares that his country decided “not to take that risk.”
Throughout, Carlson treats this vision of national identity as fundamental to Hungary’s success. He even suggests that in Hungary, people are freer than in the United States.
Not really a lot about freedom there. Nor were there many questions about Orban’s ongoing assault on democratic norms.
“Hungary is not a democracy anymore,” Zsuzsanna Szelényi, a former Hungarian member from Prime Minister Viktor Orbán’s party, said back in 2018. “The parliament is a decoration for a one-party state.”

Unimmunized Parents are causing this problem.
Children’s hospitals in areas seeing a surge in Covid cases are experiencing the same pattern: More children are coming in with Covid symptoms just ahead of the start of the school year. Bed shortages and overworked doctors and nurses in children’s hospitals are becoming commonplace.
Arkansas Children’s Hospital in Little Rock had 23 patients under 18 admitted to its system last week. Ten were in the ICU and five were on ventilators.
St. Louis Children’s Hospital in Missouri saw 13 kids come to the ER for Covid in the last week of July, and then it saw 20 who needed beds in the first week of August.
At Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston, Covid positivity rates have risen from around 3 percent to above 10 percent among kids. The number of hospitalized children was in the single digits several weeks ago but rose to more than 30 last week.
Louisiana Gov. John Bel Edwards said Friday that there are 13 children hospitalized with Covid at Children's Hospital New Orleans, including six under the age of 2. Four children are in the ICU, including a 3-month-old boy, a 23-month-old girl, an 8-year-old girl and a 17-year-old boy.

"Children in Louisiana have died of Covid and more unfortunately will die," said Dr. John Vanchiere, a pediatric infectious disease specialist, as he stood next to Bel Edwards at a news conference last week. "This is not a time for politics, for fighting or threatening lawsuits about masks. Masks save lives. And if you're a pro-life Louisiana resident like I am, wear your mask."
At least 81 children in the U.S. died of Covid between March and July, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and many doctors warn that the situation is likely to get worse.
Local reactions to these growing numbers are mixed, however. The governors of Texas and Florida, both Republicans, have refused to change course on their opposition to mask use and any other precautions, even after President Joe Biden implored them to “please help” or “get out of the way.”
Rising Covid cases overwhelm Arkansas hospitals as delta variant spreads
Meanwhile, the Covid surge and resulting hospitalization rate have grown so bad in Arkansas that Gov. Asa Hutchinson, a Republican, recently advocated for a mask mandate in schools there. This comes months after he signed a bill banning state and local mask mandates.
Doctors and experts said that kids who returned to school last school year did so successfully because Covid precautions were in place. But as the CDC and state and local governments relaxed their guidelines this year, many of those safeguards evaporated.
“This new variant is a major contributor, but a major issue is that people’s behavior has changed,” said Gigi Gronvall, a senior scholar at the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security. “I don’t think we can absolve people and leaders of responsibility for this because it gives them a pass. The reason kids are getting infected is because we don’t have those precautions and parents and households are getting infected.”

Job openings surge above 10 million for first time ever,
Labor Department says
The number of job openings in the U.S. economy jumped to more than 10 million in June, the highest on record, as the U.S. labor market continues a choppy recovery from last year’s economic shutdowns, the Labor Department said Monday.
There were 10.1 million open jobs on the final day of June, the report said, up from 9.2 million in May. Economist polled by Dow Jones were expecting 9.1 million openings. The jump came as the quits rate increased while the layoffs and discharges rate was unchanged, reflecting increased bargaining power and employment options for workers.
By industry, leisure and hospitality show one of the highest level of job openings at more than 1.6 million. Health care and social assistance has 1.5 million openings.
“Labor demand keeps getting stronger. This is the third straight month of record-breaking job openings,” Nick Bunker, head of research at Indeed Hiring Lab, said in a note. “The quits rate is also close to its all-time high, which was set just two months ago in April. This wave of demand will eventually recede, but job seekers should ride it until then.”
Despite the unemployment rate remaining above 5% and the U.S. economy being millions of jobs short of pre-pandemic levels, many businesses have reported difficulty finding workers. Nominal wage gains, especially among non-management employees, also points to a tighter labor market.
The job openings survey was conducted before the July jobs report released last week which showed the economy adding 954,000 jobs. Hiring has accelerated during the summer after some disappointing results earlier in the year.

These jobs still open are because this administration wants to keep paying people not to work. That's bidenomics for ya.

Cringe-worthy is the only word I can use to describe the cheerleading by the economic idiocy of some regulars around here.
"10 MILLION open jobs! Yay"
"No one to take one of those 10 MILLION jobs because they're being paid to sit home and jerk-off! Yay!"

Define "children"
Depending on the definition this is out of a population of over 30 million
Many more have died at the hands of their parents during this period
Should we remove all parents ?
Should we take drastic action to a host of other issues that have killed more children
How many have become depressed, lost learning opportunities, committed suicide, become drug dependent from the isolation.
Are you basically screaming fire as you so often point to?
and being a political hack who only sees through his partisan eye ?
Good job, cyclops.
Exactly Correct

When I said before that the longest consisfrnf recovery under President Obama, you said that it wasn't worth a shit.
You are extremely hypocritical in regards to the economy.

The job openings survey was conducted before the July jobs report released last week which showed the economy adding 954,000 jobs. Hiring has accelerated during the summer after some disappointing results earlier in the year.
The Labor Department said in Friday’s jobs report that there were 8.7 million Americans looking for work, meaning that there were more open jobs that potential workers. To be sure, improving economies and tight labor markets can bring workers off of the sidelines and back into the labor force.
The high level of job openings comes even as some states have ended the extra unemployment benefits that were created during the pandemic in an effort to motivate Americans to return to work. The extra benefits are set to expire for the rest of the country next month.
Expiring benefits drive people to go back to work.
I don't have access behind the paywall but saw this:
The Case Against Masks for Children
It’s abusive to force kids who struggle with them to sacrifice for the sake of unvaccinated adults.
Do masks reduce Covid transmission in children? Believe it or not, we could find only a single retrospective study on the question, and its results were inconclusive. Yet two weeks ago the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention sternly decreed that 56 million U.S. children and adolescents, vaccinated or not, should cover their faces regardless of the prevalence of infection in their community. Authorities in many places took the cue to impose mandates in schools and elsewhere, on the theory that masks can’t do any harm.
That isn’t true. Some children are fine wearing a mask, but others struggle. Those who have myopia can have difficulty seeing because the mask fogs their glasses. (This has long been a problem for medical students in the operating room.) Masks can cause severe acne and other skin problems. The discomfort of a mask distracts some children from learning. By increasing airway resistance during exhalation, masks can lead to increased levels of carbon dioxide in the blood. And masks can be vectors for pathogens if they become moist or are used for too long.
In March, Ireland’s Department of Health announced that it won’t require masks in schools because they “may exacerbate anxiety or breathing difficulties for some students.” Some children compensate for such difficulties by breathing through their mouths. Chronic and prolonged mouth breathing can alter facial development. It is well-documented that children who mouth-breathe because adenoids block their nasal airways can develop a mouth deformity and elongated face.
The possible psychological harm of widespread masking is an even greater worry. Facial expressions are integral to human connection, particularly for young children, who are only learning how to signal fear, confusion and happiness. Covering a child’s face mutes these nonverbal forms of communication and can result in robotic and emotionless interactions, anxiety and depression. Seeing people speak is a building block of phonetic development. It is especially important for children with disabilities such as hearing impairment.continues behind paywall

Expiring benefits drive people to go back to work.
and vaccine mandates will drive workers away from companies that deploy it to companies that don't
As well as make lawyers more money in unlawful termination lawsuits and hiring discrimination
The majority of minorities are not vaccinated

Expiring benefits drive people to go back to work.
If Expiring benefits drives people back to work...
Then won't adding new benefits will drive people to stay home?
Hey Roger...
Have you admitted you were wrong about your "Antifa arrests" allegations yet? Have you apologized for calling me a liar (again) when I was factually correct and telling the truth?
And medical professionals who have developed natural immunity through a previous Covid experience often don't want to get vaccinated.
Might put a squeeze on workers in that profession
Who know the issues, unlike most politicians and partisans.
And appear to be in a profession we are in dire need of.
I remember hearing that nationwide healthcare professionals were under 50% vaccinated...

His photographic memory has no remembrance of that long ago post
and he is not responsible for what he can't remember.
btw roger has trouble with what day it is
Claimed yesterday, when asked and he posted the wrong day, that he didn't look at his phone. His photographic memory must be in a darkroom.
and he is not responsible for what he can't remember.
He didn't just call me a liar... but he called me a "pathological liar". For about the umptenth time in a row he incorrectly "fact checked" me with wrong information.
I agree that he likely won't remember. After all it was yesterday. That's a long time ago for some. But perhaps he could go back and refresh his memory and see that he confused a protest on a completely different day with an "attack" on a church prayer session.
