The FBI has found scant evidence that the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol was the result of an organized plot to overturn the presidential election result, according to four current and former law enforcement officials. Though federal officials have arrested more than 570 alleged participants, the FBI at this point believes the violence was not centrally coordinated by far-right groups or prominent supporters of then-President Donald Trump, according to the sources, who have been either directly involved in or briefed regularly on the wide-ranging investigations.
"Ninety to ninety-five percent of these are one-off cases," said a former senior law enforcement official with knowledge of the investigation. "Then you have five percent, maybe, of these militia groups that were more closely organized. But there was no grand scheme with Roger Stone and Alex Jones and all of these people to storm the Capitol and take hostages."
They alleged that one Proud Boy leader recruited members and urged them to stockpile bulletproof vests and other military-style equipment in the weeks before the attack and on Jan. 6 sent members forward with a plan to split into groups and make multiple entries to the Capitol. But so far prosecutors have steered clear of more serious, politically-loaded charges that the sources said had been initially discussed by prosecutors, such as seditious conspiracy or racketeering.
Well now is the time for the left to tell us that the FBI doesn't know what it is talking about or that they no longer believe the MSM when they come up with stories based on anonymous "sources". All that being said, the FBI is simply telling us what everyone deep down already knew. That the politically motivated attempts to label this protest as an "insurrections" is horribly misplaced. There was no insurrection and this wasn't a planned event. It was a protest that got out of hand like dozens of different protests over the past couple of years. No more, no less.
One certainly has to wonder whether or not this affects the so called "commission" that was created to tackle this issue. You know the Pelosi Cheney fiasco that has done little more than make unfounded allegations and make politically motivated statements about Trump and his supporters. Oddly, there has been almost no press regarding that commission or what they are working on. Polling suggests that a vast majority of people see the commission as politically motivated and not a fair minded fact finding mission.
My guess is that Pelosi and gang will ignore this and do what they always do. Politicize it. Just as the critics believe. The more we have these silly politicized commissions the less people will take them seriously. But I don't believe that people like Pelosi or Cheney quite understand that. Their own self-importance overrides those sensibilities.

The former President should not be indicted, because we have a history of accepting the results of the election..
But a lot of other people will pay the penalty for Donald Trump himself.
His history dates back to the late 70s
It was still an attempt to overthrow the electorate college votes to certify Sleepy Joe Biden as the President elect.
Under the law it was a failed Insurrection act.
Get over it.
With the eruption of left-wing has-been celebrities mewling for attention by comparing American conservatives to the Taliban, maybe it is time for a little perspective. Or perhaps a metric ton of perspective.
Yes, a group of morons stormed the capitol on January 6. Get over it already. Stop looking in the mirror and telling yourselves that you were victims and that democracy hung in the balance. You are the very model of political autoeroticism. You are an embarrassment to yourselves and to your country. Stop with the emoting and the Reichstag tactics to paint anyone who believes something different from you as an enemy of the state. Stop with references to conservatives as the American Taliban. Your ignorance is as sickening as your hubris.
By now you have seen the photos of people falling off of planes trying to escape the Taliban. You have seen the photos of women being shot for not wearing a burka. And no matter how strenuously the legacy media tries to spin it, your alternative to Donald Trump has shattered lives beyond measure. But an idiot in a buffalo hat or a buffoon packing off Nancy Pelosi’s lectern is in no way comparable to what is taking place, and what will take place in Afghanistan.
I am not even going to say “submitted for your approval” because, frankly, I don’t give a damn if you approve of what you are about to read or not. If you can read the following and not be moved, you have forfeited your very soul.
Khatera is an Afghan woman who was on her way home from work one day. Members of the Taliban shot her eight times. As she lay unconscious, they gouged her eyes out with a knife. Let me repeat that for you trolls in the comment section and the media clippers: THEY GOUGED HER EYES OUT WITH A KNIFE. Her own father was a co-conspirator. Why? She had a job. And in the spirit of “believe all women,” here are Khatera’s thoughts in her own words:
They [Taliban] first torture us [women] and then discard our bodies to show as a specimen of punishment. Sometimes our bodies are fed to dogs. I was lucky I survived it…One has to live in Afghanistan under the Taliban to even imagine what hell has befallen on women, children and minorities here. In the eyes of the Taliban, women are not living, breathing human beings, but merely some meat and flesh to be battered.

If Khatera somehow survives execution, medical care will be denied her. Under the Taliban, she cannot visit a male doctor. And the Taliban will not permit a woman to be educated in medicine, or anything else, for that matter. So a doctor’s visit is out of the question. But then again, what is one woman’s life when compared to the glorious utopia you have envisioned? Eggs and omelets, right? Someone has to suffer for the greater good. As long as it isn’t you.
These are the people to whom your president and your party capitulated. These are the people to whom your president and your party forced our country to show the back of our neck. This is the situation that your administration is contorting itself to spin. All because you didn’t want Trump as president. Look at Khatera’s face here. Read her story. Read every word of it. This is what you voted for. Trump may be your worst vision of an over-indulged frat boy, but this is what you picked in his place. And no, I don’t hope you can live with it. I hope it haunts you every waking hour. I hope you realize this could be your sister, your wife, your daughter, or even you. I hope you see Khatera’s face every time you look in the mirror—a simple privilege that she will be forever denied. I hope your conscience is never assuaged by the legacy media or Twitter. Own it. Live “your truth.” This is who you are. This is your legacy as much as it is Biden’s.

It was still an attempt to overthrow the electorate college votes to certify Sleepy Joe Biden as the President elect.
Not according to the FBI.
But then again... what do they know in comparison to an old man hanging out in his room at his "assisted living facility".
btw... when the FBI comes out and admits that there was no actual plot to overturn the election on Jan 6th....
And you continue to demand that there was a plot.
That is what is known as "cognitive dissonance".
The inability to accept facts that do not go along with your own preconceived notions.
Biden to Address Afghan Crisis as Desperation Builds at Kabul Airport
President Biden will speak on Friday amid intense criticism of the evacuation effort. Videos show babies caught in the melee outside Kabul’s airport. Ethnic minorities fear for their safety under Taliban rule.
It was a failed coup Hang Mike Pence and assault hundreds of police officers who were defending the Capitol building of the Congress.
Your cognitive dissonance is incurable.
I don't think that the President will do this. This article noted that Afghanistan might be divided into two countries.
https://www.thebulwark.com/the-u-s-should-support-afghanistans-northern-resistance/
The North would be like the United States during the civil war!
Your cognitive dissonance is incurable.
Well I guess the FBI, all of the prosecutors, all have legal cognitive dissonance.
Since the FBI says it was not an insurrection and prosecutors have not charged anyone with any sort of insurrection.
So either the FBI, Prosecutors, and myself are wrong.
Or you are!
Under the law it was a failed Insurrection act.
Get over it.
Under the law, there was no insurrection.
You and your TDS infected mind should.
I usually don't draw parallels but if Trump had won the election, and a black and mixed colored mob invaded the Capitol building, despite not being coordinated by Biden, you would want to see them lynched in the Rose Garden!
I thought any attempt at overthrowing a government is an insurrection, no matter who is trying to carry it out.
dictionary:
insurrection: a rising up against established authority; rebellion; revolt
Ch will play his word games incessantly.
Ignore him and move on.
Well Roger...
Let's not make hypotheticals, let's look at history.
We had an organized situation where organized protesters stormed pass police barricades, took over the steps and lobby of the Capital building itself, while hundreds of others stormed into the Hart Building (which is part of the Capital complex) in an attempt to find the Senate judicial committee and stop them from voting on the Kavanaugh confirmation hearing.
What was your reaction to that?
Seems to me that it all depends on who is storming the Capital and for what reason, huh?

I think he could easily do it. Remember, when he was in the Senate he was in favor of the balkanization of Iraq. Separate territories for Sunni's Shia, and Kurds.
It was a stupid idea then and it's a stupid idea now, and Biden was a profoundly stupid man BEFORE being seized by dementia.
We as a nation are going to regret installing such a profoundly stupid fuck into the white house.
Arizona ‘Audit’ Records Must Be Made Public
August 20, 2021 at 10:30 am EDT By Taegan Goddard
Arizona Republic:
“The Arizona Court of Appeals said Thursday that the state Senate must turn over records from the contractor hired to conduct the review of Maricopa County’s 2020 election.
“It’s the second consecutive day that a court has ruled against the Arizona Senate in its fight over records related to the audit, including email and other communications.”
An "audit" that was no audit.
No "there" there.
Hospitalizations Getting More Expensive for Unvaccinated
August 20, 2021 at 10:00 am EDT By Taegan Goddard
Axios:
“Coronavirus patients who end up hospitalized — the vast majority of whom are unvaccinated — are increasingly likely to be on the hook for their medical bills.
“Early in the pandemic, most insurers waived out-of-pocket costs for coronavirus hospitalizations.
“But with vaccines readily available, many patients are once again on the hook for deductibles and co-pays, which could make remaining unvaccinated a lot more expensive.”
______
As it should be. Those who needlessly risked themselves and others SHOULD pay more.
dictionary:
insurrection: a rising up against established authority; rebellion; revolt
By that definition, we had a full year or so of insurrections in Mpls, Portland, Seattle, and other places across the United States. Every time the police was threatened or anything a Government building was attacked, would make it an insurrection.
I mean, in Seattle rioters literally took over a police station and several city blocks and held it as their own. What was that in description?
But again... it all depends on who is protesting and what they are protesting, huh?
We had an organized situation where organized protesters stormed pass police barricades, took over the steps and lobby of the Capital building itself, while hundreds of others stormed into the Hart Building (which is part of the Capital complex) in an attempt to find the Senate judicial committee and stop them from voting on the Kavanaugh confirmation hearing.
What was your reaction to that?
We also had leftist radicals literally BOMB the fucking Senate in 1983.
What was the alky's reaction to THAT?

This was no coincidence. This was a deliberate Democrat strategy to paint all Republican politicians as traitors in order to keep congressional power after the midterms.
Now that that strategy failed, voters in swing districts can look more to the Republican to right the ship. (or at least keep the Democrats disastrous spending bill in check)
And with both Biden and Harris at the helm, there is nothing that stops the Democrats from being portrayed as the weak and feckless party in 2022.
It may be a Democrat bloodbath not just at the federal level, but at the state and local level also. (although I think our largest metropolitan cities are hopelessly infected with leftest voters).
According to the Reverend...
The Floyd Riots across the country, the Kavanaugh protests, and the Jan 6th Capital Riot were all insurrections.
According to the FBI...
None of them were an organized attempt to overthrow the government.
Pretty simple, really!
As it should be. Those who needlessly risked themselves and others SHOULD pay more.
And he people who were vaccinated and still hospitalized?
Makes DeSantis COVID-19 treatment centers a stroke of genus.
Commonsense, FEW of those vaccinated have HAD to be hospitalized.
But if they did get vaccinated, they should be allowed to pay less.
President Joe Biden will give a second address to the nation about the situation in Afghanistan on Friday, specifically offering information about Americans who have yet to be evacuated.
Biden faced significant backlash for his strategy for leaving Afghanistan amid chaotic scenes at the Kabul airport and the Taliban's rapid takeover of the country. A major point being made by critics of the strategy is that American troops pulled out before evacuating Afghan allies and failed to secure the safe departure of American citizens.
The President is scheduled to speak to the nation at 1 p.m. ET from the East Room of the White House. His remarks will be broadcast live on television and online on C-Span, as well as on the White House's YouTube channel.
President Joe Biden will give a second address to the nation about the situation in Afghanistan
Because the first one worked so well.
President Joe Biden will TRY TO give a second address to the nation about the situation in Afghanistan on Friday
Flights from Afghanistan Stalled
August 20, 2021 at 1:13 pm EDT By Taegan Goddard
CNN:
“Soldiers by the runway at Kabul airport tell me that there are 10,000 people here processed and ready to go… but nowhere to fly them to because Qatar is refusing to accept more Afghans because they’ve reached capacity.”
NBC News reports no flights have left in at least 8 hours.
Soldiers by the runway at Kabul airport tell me that there are 10,000 people here processed and ready to go…
That about 15 flights of C-17's.
But if they did get vaccinated, they should be allowed to pay less.
Nice to know we've just arbitrarily and unilaterally shitcanned our Equal Protection Clause.
That was easy.
Biden just cancelled his 1 PM public mumble to the world.
LMAO.
Oops, my mistake.
Winken (DaHo), Blinken, and Nod (Sloppy Joe) are having their public mumble to the world after all.
All that's missing is Maximus shouting "Are you not entertained?!?!?!"
This is why the House of Representatives hearings are necessary to ensure the safety of our election system...
Senior lawmakers have been briefed on the FBI's findings and find them "credible", according to Reuters. The ultimate takeaway is this: while some groups may have discussed the rally and attendant protest in advance, and while they ultimately may have "worked together" on the day in question, there's simply no evidence of a grand conspiracy headed by a single nefarious ringleader (not Stone, not Jones, not even Trump).
Prosecutors have filed conspiracy charges against 40 of those defendants, alleging that they engaged in some degree of planning before the attack.
The FBI's assessment could prove relevant for a congressional investigation that also aims to determine how that day's events were organized and by whom.
With seditious conspiracy now off the table, the most serious charges are likely to be the assault on an office charges, which carry a penalty of up to 20 years in prison.
People who are subpoenaed by the house must speak without the right to decline self intimidation information.
It's like a Grand jury hearing
Self incrimination
Miranda rights don't apply there

What in the ever loving FUCK are you even babbling about alky?
Miranda rights don't apply to a House of Representatives circus hearing because it's not a legal proceeding or court of law.
The harder you try to look smart, the more you succeed at making yourself look stupid.

Self intimidation? I'll take it you met self incrimination and you're wrong. The 5th amendment applies to any proceeding where criminal jeopardy may be attached.
That would include Congressional hearings where criminal referrals can be issued.
What we have here is a failure to communicate.
The Pentagon just said “we know Al Qaeda is still in Afghanistan” about an hour after Joe Biden said “Al Qaeda is gone from Afghanistan.
But don't worry. The adults are in charge.
What needs to be done is consequences for everyone who advanced the ridiculous "insurrection" narrative.
Democrat leadership
the state media
and president Biden
worse attack on our democracy since the Civil War
Talk about yelling FIRE
he should resign
but he probably has no idea how
Sloppy Joe also said that the Tally-Bohn and ISIS are mortal enemies.
My God... what a fucking mess.
Under oath. If a person is questioned about a crime, even if what he did was a crime, his testimony can be used to file criminal charges against the people.
You don't have miranda rights when testifying under oath in the house of representatives hearings.
You don't understand even basic Constitutional guidelines.
5th amendment rights don't apply in the Senate or house hearings.
The Department of Justice can indict the person who admitted a crime!
We had one very big insurrection in Washington
DC where insurrectionists were intent on overthrowing a legitimately elected national administration, i.e., the government of an entire nation.
But keep playing your word games, as I said you would.
