Chris Wallace asks the correct question

Does the President know what's going on?

So when international leaders mock and criticize our President. When the UK literally officially hold him in Contempt during an official session. When the top two German leaders call him out for overseeing the worst debacle in Nato history. When Tony Blair calls his plan imbecilic. When members of British Parliament call his actions "shameful".

And our President goes on national television and states that he has not heard any criticism, and that in fact he has heard nothing but support. Can this actually be a lie he expects people to believe or does he quite literally not have a clue as to what is going on?

That folks, is a question that needs to be answered fairly soon. We need real leadership at a time of international crisis, domestic crisis, and a pandemic that's on it's way back. Partisanship or no partisanship, If this guy truly is that clueless and being left completely in the dark on these things, then he has no business being President anymore.

This is not a person who tweets mean things. This guy is truly dangerous.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) granted the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine full approval in a highly anticipated move that’s expected to boost vaccinations and spark more mandates nationwide.

The federal agency reached the milestone of issuing the first complete authorization for a COVID-19 vaccine after an approximately three-month review of Pfizer’s and its German partner BioNTech’s application to the FDA for full approval.

With slightly more than half of the total U.S. population fully vaccinated, experts and Biden administration officials are hopeful the agency’s full approval will serve as a catalyst for vaccinations in the country.

The Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, like the other two available in the U.S., had been given emergency use authorization allowing it to be administered only during the public health emergency. But under the full authorization, the FDA is giving permission for patients to get the shots once the public health emergency is declared over.

With the emergency use authorization, more than 204 million doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine have been administered across the country, according to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) data.

More vaccine mandates are likely to follow the FDA’s full licensure of the two-dose regimen as some businesses, organizations and universities were expected to wait until the full endorsement to enforce such requirements.

It appears that Biden is the same playbook as Mueller. Two old has-beens who are just figureheads for whoever is really putting things in front of him. He reads from a teleprompter (poorly). He answers pre-arranged questions. He disappears. He signs orders

Transparency advocates have criticized the FDA decision not to hold a formal advisory committee meeting to discuss Pfizer’s application for full approval of its #COVID19 vaccine.

https://www.bmj.com/content/374/bmj.n2086

“These public meetings are imperative in building trust and confidence especially when the vaccines came to market at lightning speed under emergency use authorisation,” she said. “The public deserves a transparent process, especially as the call for boosters and mandates are rapidly increasing. These meetings offer a platform where questions can be raised, problems tackled, and data scrutinised in advance of an approval.”

Witczak is one of the more than 30 signatories of a citizen petition5 calling on the FDA to refrain from fully approving any covid-19 vaccine this year to gather more data. She warned that without a meeting “we have no idea what the data looks like.”

“It is already concerning that full approval is being based on 6 months’ worth of data despite the clinical trials designed for two years,” she said. “There is no control group after Pfizer offered the product to placebo participants before the trials were completed.

“Full approval of covid-19 vaccines must be done in an open public forum for all to see. It could set a precedent of lowered standards for future vaccine approvals.”

Speaking to reporters at the White House, Biden said there were discussions "among us and the military about extending."

"Our hope is that we will not have to extend," he said.

Biden pointed to new numbers of evacuees as a contrast to the chaotic scenes at Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul, where thousands of people remain to be airlifted out of the country after the Taliban seized control of vast parts of territory this month.

Biden said the U.S. evacuated about 11,000 people in 30 hours over the weekend. He said about 28,000 U.S. citizens, allies and Afghans have been secured since the Taliban's takeover of Kabul on Aug. 15, adding that 33,000 people have been transported since July.

"We see no reason why this tempo will not be kept up," he said, referring to the pace of evacuations over the weekend.

But as his handling of the withdrawal has come under criticism from foreign allies and officials in both parties, Biden claimed that there was no way it could have gone any more smoothly.

To the extent that a different Democratic President might have had a different team, it would have been a matter of different faces on the same ideas. The Taliban already stated no. The deadline for US to get out is the 31st of August. If we are still there after the 31st, there will be consequences. Biden has literally no power or any leverage to demand anything.

He can only beg... on his knees... to a terror group... for the lives of Americans.

We gave up our military bases and military equipment to the Taliban. There really isn't even a safe way to bring troops back into the country if they were to try to retake anything.

And let's be clear... we will not be done evacuating people in a week.

What do you suppose the President will do then, Roger?

WASHINGTON — As President Biden watched Kabul descend into hell, did he think of his beloved Yeats?

He is the poet Biden recited as a teen to conquer his stutter. And Biden has quoted Yeats before while talking about the Middle East.

“The Second Coming” eerily sprang to life in the president’s helter-skelter exit from Afghanistan, a land that still prizes falconry and falcons flying in widening gyres.

When Yeats writes about darkness dropped in the sands of the desert and a slouching “rough beast” with “a gaze blank and pitiless as the sun,” he could be describing the Taliban. Anarchy loosed upon the world, a blood-dimmed tide, and the worst, full of passionate intensity.

Two months ago, the Unites States troops were fully in charge of this airport and several other military bases across the country. They (with Afghan government troops) controlled all of Kabul.

Why would it have been "just as hard" to get people in and out of an airport when we controlled the entire city (the Taliban was not even in Kabul) as it is today when the Taliban are in literal control of most of the city including setting up perimeter check points around the airport.

If you can explain why having full control of a city...

and having the Taliban already overrunning the city and controlling most of the movement.

Readout of Secretary Mayorkas’s Calls with Counterparts from Portugal, Spain, and Sweden

WASHINGTON –  On August 20, 2021, Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro N. Mayorkas participated in three separate calls with Portuguese Minister of Internal Administration Eduardo Cabrita, Spanish Minister of Interior Fernando Grande-Marlaska, and Swedish Minister for Home Affairs Mikael Damberg to discuss the ongoing situation in Afghanistan.  Secretary Mayorkas and Minister Grande-Marlaska, Minister Cabrita, and Minister Damberg discussed efforts to facilitate the relocation and evacuation of American citizens and legal permanent residents of the United States, citizens and residents of the Ministers’ respective countries, and vulnerable Afghans, including those who worked for and on behalf of the United States in Afghanistan.  In each call, they agreed on the importance of partnership and cooperation between our respective countries.

American Greatness Insanity said...

So why does Biden so willfully exercise this destructive touch that blows up anything he taps?

There are several possible theories:

1) Biden is non compos mentis. He has no idea of what he is doing. But to the degree he is alert, Biden listens—sort of—only to the last person with whom he talks. And then he takes a nap. When Afghanistan blows up or inflation roars or the border becomes an entry door, his eyes open, and he becomes bewildered and snarly—like an irritable and snappy Bruce Dern waking up in “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.”

Biden has no clue about the actual destructive implementation of his toxic policies, and no concern upon whom these destructive agendas fall. He vaguely assumes a lapdog left-wing media will repackage every Biden incoherence as Periclean, and every daily “lid” as Biden’s escape for presidential research, deep reading, and intensive deliberation. Biden appears to be about where Woodrow Wilson was in November 1919.

2) Or is Biden a rank opportunist and thinking he will ride woke leftism as the country’s new trajectory? He resents his prior subservience to Obama, and now feels he can trump past signature leftist administrations as the one true and only socialist evolutionary. He is not so much the manipulated as the manipulator.

Biden fantasizes himself as a hands-on dynamic leader who bites at reporters, snaps from the podium, and issues his customary interjections. He is therefore “in command” for four or five hours a day. He enjoys acting more radical than Elizabeth Warren, Kamala Harris, Bernie Sanders, or “the squad.”—and especially being far more leftwing than his old and now passé boss Barack Obama. Joe is in control and that explains the dross touch. For the first time in his life, such an incompetent has complete freedom—to be powerfully incompetent. Biden is then not demented as much as delusionally running things.

3) Biden is unfortunately what he always was: a rather mean-spirited plagiarist, liar, and nihilist, from his Clarence Thomas character assassination infamy and Tara Reade groping to his foul racist talk and his monumental habitual grifting. His disasters are the same old, same old Biden trademark, performance-art screw-ups.

Biden likes the idea of conservative outrage, of chaos, of barking at everyone all the time. Biden accepts that no omelets can be made without broken eggs, and sort of enjoys screwing up things, as Robert Gates and Barack Obama both warned. “Wokening” the Joint Chiefs of Staff, encouraging hundreds of thousands to pour across the border, and abandoning our NATO allies in Afghanistan—who cares when tough guy, brash-talking Joe on the move jumbles stuff up? The disasters in the economy, foreign policy, crime, energy, and racial relations? Biden is just shaking things up, stirring the pot, baiting people to watch Mr. “Come On, Man” in action, as he blusters and preens and leaves a trail of destruction in his wake.

4) Biden is nothing much at all. He’s just a cardboard-cut out, a garden-variety Democratic Party hack, who is against anything conservatives are for. He assumes he will undo all that Trump did, on the theory it is simple and easy for him in his lazy, senior moments. And he is tired anyway of thinking much beyond such Pavlovian rejectionism. A closed border is bad; presto, open borders are good. Improving race relations is bad; deteriorating relations must be good. Energy independence bad; dependency good. Biden works on autopilot in his minimalist day job: just cancel anything that Trump did and worry nothing about the effects on the American people

5) Biden is a hostage of both the Left and Hunter Biden.

You think that black people are coming to get rid of you!

From the earliest days of his 2016 presidential campaign, Trump’s support has been most heavily concentrated among white Americans who think they face significant racial discrimination. In fact, perceived anti-white discrimination powerfully predicted voter preferences in the 2016 general election. One survey conducted shortly after the election found Trump voters were over four times more likely than Clinton voters to say white Americans face “a lot” of discrimination (45 percent versus 10 percent, respectively); other polls also consistently showed that Republicans and Trump’s 2016 supporters saw racial discrimination against white people as a bigger problem than unfair treatment of racial and ethnic minorities in American society. Those views have only grown more pronounced in Republican politics.

The changing demographics are scarier the shit out of you.

The new Jim Crow legislation is designed to protect the minority government we see in a lot of states. Especially in Georgia.
