Someone should wake up sleepy Joe and remind him about his promise to ask for Cuomo's resignation?

Report says Cuomo sexually harassed or assaulted like six million people
Cuomo denies all allegations

President Biden did tell us that he would call for Governor Cuomo's resignation if there were any truth to the allegations of sexual harassment. Seems like there is at least a "bit" of truth. Maybe a lot of proof. Maybe like examples and examples of proof.

So time to wake up the President and remind him of his duty as President to say what he means and mean what he says! Someone once said he was an honest and good man. Let's put it to the test!

You can't attack the white Bill Cosby.

At least one CNN anchor is defending him and he speaks for the network.

Maybe they should put him in solitary confinement in a DC jail or just put an ankle bracelet on him and stick him in a nursing home.

Without a mask.

Then he wouldn't have to resign.

Biden call for a resignation was rather weak and disingenuous

1Biden was asked to comment on whether he maintained his stance from March, when he said Cuomo should resign if allegations of harassment were confirmed. In response, Biden said he would "stand by that statement."

When asked if Cuomo should resign, Biden responded, "Yes." He declined to comment further on whether Cuomo should face impeachment if he does not resign.

Let’s take one thing at a time here. I think he should resign," Biden said. "I understand the state legislature may decide to impeach. I don’t know that for a fact."

WASHINGTON – President Joe Biden called on Democratic New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo to resign Tuesday, following a report that Cuomo sexually harassed 11 women.

“He should resign. I understand the state legislature may decide to impeach, I do not know that for a fact,” Biden told reporters at the White House.

Bennett came forward to share her account to the Times in a story published Feb. 27.

She accused Cuomo of sexual harassment, alleging he asked questions about her sex life.

Bennett, who was first hired by Cuomo's administration in early 2019, worked as an executive assistant and health policy adviser until November when she left his office.

Bennett alleged that on June 5 she was alone with Cuomo in his state Capitol office when he allegedly asked her questions about her personal life that she interpreted as insinuating a sexual relationship.

Charlotte Bennett, 25, poses for a photo in Warren, V...Read More

She claims he asked her if she thought age made a difference in romantic relationships, whether she was monogamous in her relationships and if she ever had sex with older men.

In that June meeting, she said Cuomo made her uncomfortable when he allegedly complained about being lonely in the pandemic and said he "can't even hug anyone" and asked, "Who did I last hug?"

"I understood that the governor wanted to sleep with me, and felt horribly uncomfortable and scared," Bennett told the Times. "And I was wondering how I was going to get out of it and assumed it was the end of my job."

She said she shared what happened with Cuomo's chief of staff, Jill DesRosiers, and was transferred less than a week later to another job within the administration in a different part of the Capitol. She also said she gave a statement to a special counsel to the governor that same month.

In the end, Bennett said she decided against pushing an investigation because she liked her new job and "wanted to move on."

In response to her allegations, Cuomo stated in a press release: "I never made advances toward Ms. Bennett nor did I ever intend to act in any way that was inappropriate. The last thing I would ever have wanted was to make her feel any of the things that are being reported."

Cuomo said Bennett was a "valued member" of his staff with "every right to speak out" and he disclosed that Bennett had spoken to him about being a survivor of sexual assault.

Bennett left state government in the fall and now lives and works in a neighboring state.

The same day Bennett's account was published, the governor named former federal judge Barbara Jones to conduct a review of the claims. However, the move faced backlash and state leaders demanded an independent probe.

President Biden on Tuesday rebuked Republican governors who have imposed bans on mask mandates and pleaded with them to “get out of the way” of businesses and schools that want to impose coronavirus-related requirements.

“We need leadership from everyone and if some governors aren’t willing to do the right thing to beat this pandemic, then they should allow businesses and universities who want to do the right thing to be able to do it,” Biden said in a speech from the White House.

“I say to these governors, please help. If you aren’t going to help, at least get out of the way of people who are trying to do the right thing. Use your power to save lives,” Biden continued.

Biden’s criticism was directed at states, all of them Republican-controlled, that have banned mask mandates in school districts, universities or businesses. He particularly singled out Florida and Texas, noting that they currently account for one-third of new COVID-19 cases. Other states like Vermont, South Carolina, Iowa and Arizona have also prevented schools from mandating masks.

Biden said the directives “forbid people from doing the right thing.”

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, both Republicans, have issued executive orders barring mask mandates even as federal health officials updated guidance to encourage vaccinated Americans in areas of high transmission to wear face coverings indoors.

Biden described a mandate in Texas as “most extreme” because it subjects schools to fines if they require mask use.

Asked later by a reporter whether it was his opinion that those governors were personally making decisions that would harm their constituents, Biden said their decisions were “bad health policy.”

“I believe the results of their decisions are not good for their constituents and it’s clear to me and to most of the medical experts that the decisions being made like not allowing mask mandates in schools and the like are bad health policy,” Biden said.

As he was leaving the East Room, Biden was asked why he doesn’t call DeSantis to communicate the message to him directly.

“He knows the message. We had a long discussion,” Biden said, apparently referencing his meeting with DeSantis regarding the tragic condo collapse in Surfside, Fla., last month.

The overall remarks represented Biden’s sharpest criticism of governors for their handling of the pandemic for some time. Back in March, Biden called the decision by Abbott and Mississippi’s GOP governor, Tate Reeves, to lift coronavirus restrictions, “Neanderthal thinking.”

CDC Director Rochelle Walensky, to whom a virus has granted powers outstripping the Constitution, has signed a new 60-day eviction moratorium that many legal scholars told President Biden is unconstitutional. Biden has decided to go ahead with it anyway until the courts slap it down.

In the eyes of a progressive, the landlord is evil because he’s rich and the tenant is good because they’re poor. So they’ll probably be glad to hear that landlords who break the “law” face a potential $100,000 fine and one year in jail, or, if the eviction results in death, a fine of $250,000.

Cuomo Impeachment Could Come Quickly
August 4, 2021 at 6:22 am EDT By Taegan Goddard
New York Times:
“A person familiar with the process said it could take just a month to complete the inquiry and draw up the articles of impeachment. A trial in the State Senate could begin as soon as late September or early October.”

Playbook:
“New York’s impeachment process looks a lot like Congress’, but with a few differences. It starts in the lower chamber and takes a simple majority of the Assembly’s 150 members to impeach, just like on Capitol Hill. The chamber can create a special committee, though in this case the Judiciary panel has been investigating Cuomo.

“But unlike with presidential proceedings, Cuomo would be tried in the so-called “High Court of Impeachment,” a jury composed of all the state’s senators (except the majority leader, who would become lieutenant governor and therefore is recused), and the seven members of the state’s highest court. Removal takes two-thirds of the 69-member body.”

When Will Schumer Move to End Debate on Infrastructure?
August 4, 2021 at 6:31 am EDT By Taegan Goddard
Punchbowl News:
“The big question right now… is when does Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer file cloture to end the amendment process. Republicans warned Schumer against filing on Tuesday, and he didn’t, but he will have to cut off debate at some point soon.

“The consensus seems to be that Schumer can get away with filing cloture on Thursday, which would set up a Saturday vote. That would mean a vote on final passage vote early next week.”

“The historic, years-long push to rein in executive branch war-making authorities isn’t over yet. But it got this far thanks to tectonic shifts in public opinion as well as growing support among Republicans, who are poised to push the effort over the finish line when it hits the Senate floor later this year.”

El Paso Families Feel Betrayed Two Years After Shooting
August 4, 2021 at 5:00 am EDT By Taegan Goddard
Texas Tribune:
“Two years later, as El Paso remembers the victims, they’re also reminded of the broken promises made by top leadership in Texas in the wake of the shooting. The alleged gunman from North Texas drove 10 hours to El Paso to, in his own words posted on a racist online platform, ‘stop the Hispanic invasion of Texas.’

“But two years after the attack, some of the conditions that led to the shooting remain entrenched; violence by extremist groups is on the rise according to the FBI and the U.S. Department of Justice; and rhetoric describing migrants as criminals and invaders is now espoused by Texas’ Republican leadership, including Abbott.

“And in what some call an affront to the victims’ families, Texas Republicans expanded gun rights earlier this year when the state Legislature passed a permitless carry bill.”

Newspapers Say Andrew Cuomo Must Go
August 4, 2021 at 12:37 am EDT By Taegan Goddard
Albany Times Union:
“We do not expect Mr. Cuomo to resign from office; he is clearly beyond shame. The state Assembly needs to formally vote to proceed with impeachment, an action that would remove the governor from office until the full Legislature and the members of the Court of Appeals can sit in judgment on him. We are encouraged by Assembly Speaker Carl Heastie’s statement that the report’s findings are ‘gut-wrenching,’ but now is the time to display actual guts.”

New York Times:
“If Mr. Cuomo cares for the well-being of the state and its citizens as much as he has said he does over the years, he needs to do the right thing and step down.”

New York Post: “It’s time for Gov. Andrew Cuomo to do one honorable thing: step down. If he refuses, lawmakers should remove him. Pronto.”

Progressives Play Hardball with Biden and Win

Punchbowl News:
“We have absolutely no idea whether the White House’s effort to halt evictions in Covid danger zones will work. We have no idea if a court will strike it down. We have no idea whether Congress will eventually be forced to pass a new law preventing landlords from booting their tenants during a pandemic.

“But what we do know is that progressives in Congress feel emboldened in standing up to the White House, and that should help give new shape to the administration’s relationship with the left on Capitol Hill.”

Said Rep. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez (D-NY): ~~~“When you have to play hardball, you have to play hardball. And we’re not afraid to do that.”

I Was the Architect of Operation Warp Speed. I Have a Message for All Americans.
Aug. 3, 2021

Credit...The New York Times
By Alex Azar

Mr. Azar was secretary of health and human services under President Donald Trump. He oversaw Operation Warp Speed, the program to expedite Covid-19 vaccines.

Among the many debatable issues around Covid-19 is one unassailable fact: The coronavirus is nonpartisan. It makes no judgment about one’s political leanings. The vaccines that were developed to fight this virus have no political bias, either.

And yet the reluctance and even refusal of many Americans — including many of my fellow conservatives and Republicans — to get a Covid-19 vaccine is a frustrating irony for those of us who worked to expedite these vaccines. While the vaccines have had doubts cast upon them by politicians throughout their production and rollout, whether a person lives in a red or a blue state has no bearing on the vaccines’ efficacy. They work incredibly well, and more than 160 million fully vaccinated Americans are proof.

Whether such skepticism is rooted in political misgivings, conspiracy theories or lack of accurate and timely information, there are still millions of Americans unwilling to take the simplest of steps to end this pandemic. That makes it incumbent upon all leaders and health experts to be honest about how safe and effective the vaccines are and urge vaccination.

I know the vaccines’ features intimately because as secretary of Health and Human Services, I oversaw their development, testing, approval and distribution from April of 2020 until January of this year. After leaving office, I watched with pride as vaccination rates rose through the early months of the year, and then with dismay as the daily number of vaccinations declined.

Any claims that the vaccines are unsafe or ineffective, or that corners were cut are not true. Americans should understand that the process by which our team helped expedite these vaccines was called Operation Warp Speed for good reason. With the numbers of cases and deaths climbing in April of 2020 and the economy contracting, we had no time to lose. Masks and social distancing could offer only so much protection. Lockdowns, which devastated economies around the world, could only forestall the virus’s inevitable spread.

"We owe it to the American people to #BelieveSurvivor," Governor Andrew Cuomo tweeted in support of the Democrat lynching of Justice Kavanaugh. After years of calling for "zero tolerance" on sexual harassment, the Cuomosexual chickens have come home to roost. As David Horowitz tweeted, "Chickens are coming home to roost -- all the dirty tactics & hypocritical moralizing Dems used to attack Trump are now focused on Cuomo. Speaking truth to power used to mean commie lies attacking Republicans and patriots. Now the worm is turning." Joe Biden, who had once called Cuomo the "gold standard", is now calling for his head. The Democrats and their media are now using the same dirty tactics against their own that they had formerly deployed against Trump.
Democrats, beginning with Attorney General Letitia James, a former ally, have come for Cuomo, not because they care about how many nursing home patients he killed or how many aides he groped, but because they, especially James, want his job. Now James released a report describing numerous cases of her feminist ally groping women. A month after Cuomo was claiming that whatever higher power (beyond his own reflection in the mirror) he believes in had made him a feminist, he ordered James' predecessor to end an investigation into the handling of the Harvey Weinstein coverup after getting $25,000 from Weinstein's old lawyer. This was the same investigation he had formerly demanded.

Was James really unaware of all this? Don't count on it. "Tish James says I'm a feminist and she's right," Cuomo had once bragged at a rally. "God told me I was a feminist." The first time Cuomo was accused of sexual harassment was twenty years ago when he was serving in the Clinton administration. And Congressional Democrats closed ranks around him. New York Democrats have gifted the state with paragons of virtue like Eliot Spitzer, Anthony Weiner, former Attorney General Eric Schneiderman, who was forced to resign after multiple women accused him of choking and assaulting them, Comptroller Scott Stringer, whose recent mayoral campaign tanked after accusations of sexual harassment, and a legion of other cretins.

There's a reason that Jeffrey Epstein and Harvey Weinstein felt so comfortable in New York. . .

. . . James isn't bringing actual criminal charges against Cuomo. That would take her away from her focus on destroying the NRA and President Trump. The investigation, like the orchestrated calls for Cuomo to resign, something he has no intention of doing, are a thinly disguised primary campaign. The Democrats want Cuomo's job, they aren't about to hold him accountable. An actual criminal trial would be too dangerous and would threaten too many party interests. Democrats want to primary Cuomo. They don't want to lock him up. And if he survives the primary challenges, they'll go back to being 'Cuomosexuals' all over again. And Attorney General James will go back to praising Cuomo as a feminist. Cuomo was as good at fake moral outrage as James and his Democrat opponents.

ALBANY — The sharp jump in unemployment insurance claims during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic has broken the bank.

Specifically, the claim volume emptied out the state’s dedicated fund for paying unemployment insurance, forcing New York to borrow $10 billion from the federal Department of Labor.

As of Monday, the state owed the federal treasury $9.9 billion for unemployment insurance costs, to be paid back at a 2.27 percent interest rate.
