Back to the Afghanistan hearings....

Biden appears to have been pretty much lying or senile all along

One of the pressing questions that we needed answers to is exactly who was in favor of what. In the day and age of fake news, fake books, fake leaked sources, and fake journalism in general it is almost impossible to know what is and isn't true anymore.

So who was with Joe Biden and his desire to kill American soldiers, attack innocent afghani families, leave thousands of Americans behind in a hostile country, and leave 85 billion in military equipment to a hostile army? Well apparently not much of anyone.

According to the sworn testimony of General Milley, Commander McKenzie, and Secretary Austin, pretty much everyone advised the President against the action he took. Apparently Joe Biden was urged by multiple people to keep 2500 troops in Afghanistan precisely to prevent what happened from happening. To some degree or the other, everyone also agreed in the end that without American troops that a Taliban takeover was a foregone conclusion.

Sure, there appeared to be some surprise as to the speed. But others did not appear very surprised and basically argued that we should have expected the Taliban to fill our void sooner rather than later. To the degree that Biden suggested that "nobody anticipated" this is very the degree that Biden is lying about that.

Biden also appears to either be admitting to being senile or outright lying when he told George Stephanopoulos that he did not recall receiving any advice about keeping a small troop level in Afghanistan. It might be more accurate to say that Biden likely was not provided any advice that included anything "but" keeping 2500 or more troops there. So why he told Stephanopoulos that is anyone's guess.

Biden has not been and continues to be very factually incorrect about what happened and what advice he was given. Either this is because he simply doesn't have the mental facilities to recall or retain any of this, or he is just lying through his teeth, believing that he could get away with it. Either way, this sort of behavior does not make for much of a commander in chief.

Traitor Joe hung out the US Military, got them killed and lied about what intelligence community told him.

Roger, why is it you have not talked about your teams idiotic "Transitory Inflation" prediction?

Traitor Joe is a fucking mess. He fancies himself the second coming of FDR, hence his compulsion to piss away $3.5 TRILLION for no good reason at all.

He also fancies himself as some foreign policy/military wizard, hence his compulsion to leave Afghanistan on 09/11, for no good strategic reason at all.

On the former, thank goodness we have sanity with two democrats standing in his way, and on the latter people died needlessly, and the dumb fuck doesn't appear to have any idea what happened. As in, he sat there and watched it happen, with no functional idea of what he was even watching.

It seems like all he excels at is eating ice cream and playing Mario Kart against very small children.

People like Roger still cheer the fact that 13 service members are dead a thousand or more Americans are trapped in Afghanistan we killed an Afghani family and left behind 85 billion in military equipment to a hostile army.

We did it all well according to Roger! Would do it again! Should be applauding Dementia Joe for such courage to kill and abandon Americans for the sake of ending a war (that didn't exist) against all advice for political purposes!

Way to go Joe! You got Roger licking your butthole!

Unlike you said.

General Milly didn't break the line of command.

General Milley said he was directed by Mark T. Esper, the defense secretary at the time, to call his Chinese counterpart on Oct. 30 because there was “intelligence which caused us to believe the Chinese were worried about an attack on them by the United States.” He added that other senior U.S. officials, including Mike Pompeo, then secretary of state, were aware of the calls.

In the testimony today the Chief of the Defense department said that if we had stayed longer ISIS-K terrorists would have attacked and killed more troops than on the Kabul airport bombings that killed 13 soldiers.

The President is the Commander in Chief and even if he decides to follow the recommendations by the militarily recommend strategy, it is his authority.

And then get Bob Woodward to write a complete fiction about it, telling everyone stupid enough to buy his book how great Joe did.

The toughest part is trying to accurately determine just exactly how many alternate realities the left has in play at any point in time.

This is gaslighting with a fucking flamethrower.

Well Roger...

Wouldn't that be weird, because that would have been before the election took place?

Where on earth would people had gotten the idea that the Chinese were worried about Donald Trump wanting to attack them because he lost the election, if (in fact) the conversation actually took place before the election was held?

But it does "conveniently" allow for the idea that Christopher Miller stated that he never authorized the call. Rather it would have been Mark Esper (who I don't believe was even part of the hearings).

This thing just keeps getting odder and odder...

But we know one thing for sure! 100% for sure!

Bob Woodward got it entirely 100% incorrect!

Wars are a terrible thing. But he got us out of our longest war in history.

His approval ratings are dropping but history shows that he can recover.

THAT would have happened.

They should have Esper testify.

But remember that if he knowingly allowed General Milly to call the Chinese militarily, he didn't break the chain of command.

Esper was not Secretary of Defense when those calls were supposedly made. Certainly calls that included the Chinese worried about Trump (after he lost the election) would not have taken place in October (before the election).

Christopher Miller took over on November 9th. So anything happening after that time would have required Miller's sign off. Not Esper's.

But not remembering that anyone suggested he keep 2500 troops there when at least three top advisors are on record as saying they did...

That is a sign of something. Either lack of cognitive abilities or a complete and total lie.

From the Washington Post reports that they were troubled by both Presidents.

The tension that continues to surround America’s haphazard exit from the 20-year war, as lawmakers look to assign blame for the deaths of 13 service members during the evacuation’s final days and for the U.S. citizens who remain stranded.
Gen. Mark A. Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs Staff, and Gen. Kenneth “Frank” McKenzie, chief of U.S. Central Command, told the Senate Armed Services Committee on Tuesday that they deemed the war’s chaotic and deadly conclusion a “strategic failure” while intimating that Biden rejected their recommendations to retain troops there. They said they had advised both Biden and his predecessor, President Donald Trump, to keep at least 2,500 personnel in Afghanistan, with Milley emphasizing that he believed an “an accelerated withdrawal” would hasten the country’s collapse.

We don't know what else would have happened if the election results different..

I'm not defending President Biden. Or condemning the former President Trump.

Nobody knew that the Afghanistan government would collapse in 11 days

At the outset of Wednesday’s session, Rep. Mike Rogers (R-Ala.), the panel’s top Republican, leaped on the disclosure there was daylight between Biden and his generals, accusing the White House of allowing the State Department call the shots about the U.S. military posture in Afghanistan.
“We have to admit this was the State Department and the White House that cause this catastrophe, not the Defense Department,” Rogers argued, claiming “it will go down in history as one of the greatest failures of American leadership.”
Smith argued that it was the president’s prerogative to discount his generals’ advice — and that the war’s checkered history was proof that military assessments should be scrutinized.

Milley appeared to agree.
“This was a 20-year war, and it wasn’t lost in the last 20 days or 20 months,” Milley said, when asked if Biden’s decisions had caused the chaotic withdrawal. “Whenever you get a phenomenon like a war is lost … there’s an awful lot of causal factors, and we’re going to have to figure that out.”

Even though Milly agreed with a Republican you still want him lynched!

Ohio Republican gets destroyed by Gen. Milley after twisting the truth over China call

Sarah K. Burris

Another Republican attempted to twist the story of Gen. Mark Milley's conversation with Chinese military officials to be some kind of corrupt or illegal action during a hearing about Afghanistan on Wednesday.

Rep. Michael Turner (R-OH) attacked Milley for allegedly going rogue and calling the Chinese when there was no reason to. Instead of directing his question at Milley, however, Turner directed it to Sec. Lloyd Austin.

"With indignation in front of the House and the Senate, you have commented on the statements in the press concerning your phone conversation with your counterparts, Gen. Lee in China," said Turner. "Let's be clear, to give you some help with the indignation, those comments were in the press, because that's where you put them. Now, you claim that you had information, and it's all over, that China was worried about an imminent attack. You did not tell the president, the vice president, the White House chief of staff, the national security adviser, the Secretary of Defense, the Secretary of State, the director of national intelligence either of the relevant committees in the House, including the Big 8, which you know include intel."

The committee chairman suspended the rules to allow Milley to answer the attacks, noting that Milley addressed the issue on Tuesday, explaining that the new book by Bob Woodward and Robert Costa didn't include the full story much less the classified information that Milley was privy to.

"With respect to the intelligence, I have it right here. I'll be happy to share it with you," Milley began. "I guarantee that that intelligence was disseminated to the in the president's [presidential daily briefing], the vice president, the DNI, director of CIA, the Secretary of Defense, the assistant to the President for National Security Affairs, and others. That was significant and there was a lot of it. It wasn't just a singular report. There was a lot -- I'll be happy to share that with you and go over it with you line by line."

Milley then explained that given all of those people knew that there was a concern by China that the U.S. was going to wage a war with them, it was then concluded that he work with his counterpart to reassure China. There were eight people on the call between Gen. Milley and his counterpart in China.

"It was significant and concerning to the point where the secretary of Defense Mark Esper, Adm. David Skponson and myself and others had conversations about it," said Milley. "And I was directed by then-Secretary of Defense Esper. First, he directed his assistant secretary of Defense for Asia Pacific Affairs to make calls and then me. Same thing. This is all done with oversight and I try to lay that out in the memorandum. I tried to lay it out in a timeline in an unclassified way that you can use."

Well one thing is known for sure. The security parameter around Kabul airport would not have been manned by the Taliban.
There would have been a more orderly withdrawal.

If a president goes against military advice, he better be right.

Everything Biden touches turns to shit.
