Just because you gotta!

What do we think about hassling politicians in the bathroom?

Technically what was done was against the law in Arizona. Apparently you cannot legally follow someone into a restroom without permission. Who knew? More to the point, the students who followed her are technically not citizens and could be deported for their actions if authorities decide to press charges. Not sure how well that would go over, but it is the reality.

Moreover, those who support the students are upset because Sinema refuses to actually "do anything" about the reconciliation bill. Of course she is doing something. She is opposing it. That is her right as a politician. Democrats are allowed (gasp) to hold a view that is different from what Biden, Schumer, and Pelosi would like them to hold. That is part of Democracy. In fact, we would likely be way better off if there was more Democrats and Republicans willing to buck their Party when they deemed it appropriate to do so. The lock step manner of politics these days is a major problem and certainly works to alienate people.

Daniel Libby was set to board a Boston-area train when a rail conductor asked the passenger for a simple request: Put a mask on.

But instead of adhering to the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority’s mask mandate for riders regardless of vaccination status to help curb the spread of the coronavirus, the 40-year-old man responded Wednesday by allegedly attacking the conductor who asked him to wear a face covering.

Libby, of Middleborough, Mass., was arrested and charged with assault and battery on a public official, MBTA police said in a news release. Police said the man “responded with several expletives and refused to place a mask on” at the Braintree MBTA Commuter Rail Station.

Steve Bannon doubles down on 'shock troops' takeover plan: 'We're going to have 20,000 ready to go'

David Edwards

October 04, 2021

Former White House adviser Steve Bannon on Monday defended his plan to use "shock troops" to rebuild the government during a Republican takeover.

"If you're going to take over the administrative state and deconstruct it, then you have to have shock troops prepared to take it over immediately," Bannon explained to NBC News last week.

Bannon doubled down during his Monday broadcast on Real America's Voice.

"We're winning big in 2024 and we need to get ready now," he said. "Right? We control the country. We've got to start acting like it. And one way we're going to act like it, we're not going to have 4,000 [shock troops] ready to go, we're going to have 20,000 ready to go and we're going to pick the 4,000 best and most ready in every single department."

"And that's when we really start to deconstruct the administrative state," Bannon continued. "You look at these institutions, they're rotten to the core. They need to be rejuvenated and they will be rejuvenated. OK? Starting with the FBI and the Justice Department."

The August 25th promise to bring the $1.5 trillion infrastructure bill to the House floor on September 27th was a lie. Democrats are by nature totalitarian dictators, and just like Bart Stupak, Josh Gottheimer was threatened by Pelosi and House leadership to go along and get his group to vote in support of Pelosi’s massive scheme.

Josh Gottheimer, and the 9 members of the ‘moderate Marxist’ coalition, held up their end of the agreement and supported Pelosi with the two reasonable terms in place. However, Gottheimer and his group are now left to recognize just how extreme and dangerous the AOC-wing has become.

The Speaker of the House lied to Gottheimer in an effort to manipulate his support. This is the zero-sum strategy Democrats always deploy. Pelosi never had any intention of living up to her end of the bargain unless her larger objectives were met. Democrats are devious and they don’t have boundaries in their fight. The ‘ends‘ justify any ‘means‘.

Democrats must be taken out of power; they are dangerous…. and, based on increased public sunlight, the current polling indicates an awakened nation is noticing.

Wow... I guess you really don't care if conservatives die, huh?

She deserved it because some people were shouting.

Yeah... when Antifa were burning down building and chanting about how they were going to kill police, I didn't see any police officers in Minneapolis opening fire on other unarmed protesters.

At defense request, the judge in Whitmer “kidnapping” case delayed trial from next month to March. Why? Defense lawyers want to investigate conduct of at least 12 FBI agents/informants who organized the caper.

Case is wild. Lead agent is a wife-beater now pulled from testifying. Another lead agent has intelligence company on the side and another lead agent urged his informant to lie and delete texts. Agents handing out envelopes stuffed with cash to informants:

Govt has 1154 pages of official reports on “Big Dan,” the informant who ran the plot. He was paid at least $24,000 and given a new car. An FBI operation from start to finish.

As ⁦@DarrenJBeattie⁩ points out, Steven D’Antuono was head of Detroit FBI field office when Whitmer caper went down—Wray then moved him to DC office before January 6.

His agents and informants in MI now accused of entrapment.

This still blows me away: SA Jayson Chambers “texted his informant named ‘Big Dan,’ the primary source involved in the Whitmer case. ‘Big Dan’ was contacting another target, a man named ‘Frank,’ in Virginia to ensnare the man in the FBI’s newest political plot…

“Chambers made clear to Big Dan what he was supposed to convince Frank to do. ‘The mission is to kill the governor specifically,’ Chambers texted.”

Not Whitmer. VA Governor Ralph Northam.

stunning FBI misconduct.

Biden's plan is much more Warp speed..his only accomplishment

Lower Higher Education Costs

Education beyond high school is increasingly important to succeed in the 21st century economy, even as it has become unaffordable for too many families. The Build Back Better Agenda would provide two years of free community college—boosting the earnings of low-wage high school graduates by nearly $6,000 per year. President Biden’s plan will also increase the maximum Pell Grant award by almost $1,500, and invest billions in subsidized tuition for low- and middle-income students at Historically Black Colleges and Universities, Tribal Colleges and Universities, and minority-serving institutions. The plan also invests in evidence-based strategies to strengthen completion and retention rates at institutions that serve high numbers of low-income students, particularly community colleges.

Lower Prescription Drug Costs

Americans pay 2-3 times more for their prescription drugs than people in other wealthy countries, and nearly 1 in 4 Americans struggle to afford prescription drugs. President Biden’s plan will lower prescription drug costs for Americans by letting Medicare negotiate drug prices, so consumers are no longer at the whim of pharmaceutical companies.

Lower Health Care Costs

The Build Back Better Agenda would reduce health insurance premiums, saving 9 million people an average of $50 per person per month, and add dental, vision, and hearing coverage to Medicare. By closing the Medicaid gap for low-income Americans, the President’s plan would help 4 million uninsured people gain coverage. President Biden’s agenda would also expand home care for older and disabled Americans, while improving the jobs and the pay of the home care workers who care for them.

Lower Housing Costs

Driven by the largest shortfall of new housing units in 50 years, rents and housing prices continue to increase—with some 10.5 million renters paying more than half their incomes in rent. The Build Back Better Agenda will use tax credits and government financing to bolster affordable and resilient housing, supporting the construction or rehabilitation of more than two million homes.

Nearly 72 percent of general election voters oppose raising taxes and the national debt, which would result from President Joe Biden’s $3.5 trillion reconciliation package, a Trafalgar Group poll revealed Monday.

“Would you be more or less likely to support President Biden’s proposed $3.5 trillion budget bill if you knew it increases taxes and the national debt?” the poll asked respondents:

Seventy-one and a half said they would be “less likely” to support the reconciliation package, while nearly 21 percent said they would be “more likely.”

When only Democrats were sampled, 50.2 percent said “less likely and 33.8 percent said “more likely.”

Republicans were far more lopsided in their responses. Ninety-two percent said “less likely,” and only 6.9 percent said “more likely.”

Last Tuesday, Gen. Mark Milley, chair of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, testified before the Senate that he had sat for interviews for the recent books by Bob Woodward, Carol Leonnig and Philip Rucker, and Michael C. Bender about the final days of the Trump administration. Asked if the books depicted what happened accurately, Milley responded, “I didn’t read any of the books.”

Over a recent six-day period, however, I read all three, along with Michael Wolff’s Landslide, a total of 1,632 pages, in a somewhat mind-bending exercise of reading accounts of the same events in close proximity, to find out where they link up and where they don’t, who is present in these stories and who is absent, and to try to make further sense of the surreal period between when Donald Trump lost the election and when a mob tried to ransack the Capitol.

When I say the mind-bending effect of reading about the same events, consider this: On Nov. 9, 2020, Hope Hicks told Trump what he didn’t want to hear: “Look, sir, I’m sorry,” she said, according to Leonnig and Rucker’s book, I Alone Can Fix It. “You’re not going to be able to win it back. There’s no way for you to win.”

Trump told her she was wrong — she didn’t know the real story. “People are telling me about all the evidence.”

But maybe this instead happened on Nov. 10, and actually Hicks emphasized his legacy, and instead of talking about evidence, Trump told her, as he does in Peril, the new book by Woodward and Robert Costa, “It’s not in me to do that. I don’t care about my legacy.”

Unless it was Nov. 7, the day the AP called the election, like in Bender’s book Frankly, We Did Win This Election, and Hicks was one of the people saying they should move on during a staff discussion. But she never got anywhere with it because the Trump sons shut her down: “What you’re talking about isn’t even an option.”

Or maybe it happened more like Wolff’s Landslide, in which Hicks both talked early in staff meetings about moving on — like in the Bender book — and heard about Trump’s claims of evidence, like in I Alone Can Fix It. But rather than broaching the subject with Trump, in Landslide, he broached it with her: “You know what I think,” she replied. “I don’t think this is going to work.” To which he said, “You’re wrong. It’s going to work.”

I point out these little distinctions not because the books are bad — they’re major reporting efforts with real value — or because I doubt that Hicks thought Trump should concede — she surely did think so, however she did or did not convey it — but because even with this person-to-person exchange, there are four similar but slightly distinct versions. It’s an illustration, on some level, of how hard it will be to pin down every last moment.

Coldheartedtruth Teller said...

For the rest of our lives probably, we’ll periodically learn new facts or hear new accounts of the period between Trump contracting COVID and Joe Biden’s inauguration in January. First, there will be books like these. Then, revelations from the ongoing civil litigation against some of the key players if they survive efforts by Trump and others to get them tossed out of court. Then, the testimony during hearings and the documents, text messages, and emails likely to be released by the congressional select committee investigating Jan. 6. Then we’ll get items in periodic waves, brought about by expired executive privilege, or posthumous releases of interviews, memoirs, and documents, or a new posture on security footage from inside the Capitol, which largely remains unreleased. And learning details about one thing can make you wonder about the things you can’t see.

Our Woke National Icons

Milley, Fauci, and Biden are soulless men who reveal the bankruptcy of our ruling class.

By Victor Davis Hanson

October 3, 2021

As we watch events unfold in 2021, obvious questions about the fitness of our national leaders present themselves. Who are these new woke national icons and how did they come to lord it over the rest of us? Here are some observations by way of preliminary explanation.

The Strategist

Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Mark Milley conceded to Congress last week that he has been an anonymous source to controversial “inside” progressive muckrakers detailing the supposed dysfunctions of the prior administration. He strangely characterizes such anonymous, self-serving, behind-the-scenes leaking as some sort of public-service transparency. Evidently, it is now a part of the chairman’s duties to serve the media.

Among the many “background” quotes that Milley provided to meet his journalistic obligations were his various comparisons of his commander-in-chief to Nazis—a violation of Article 88 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice. He reportedly offered further allegations to journalists that news outlets like the Epoch Times and Newsmax were “terrorist” organizations. President Joe Biden’s budget includes a provision that provides billions of dollars in cash to illegal aliens with children.

The $3.5 trillion reconciliation bill extends the Child Tax Credit to anyone in the United States who provides an Individual Taxpayer Identification Number, overturning a crucial safeguard against fraud. Federal law required a valid Social Security number to receive the cash transfer from the federal government. The potential payout for illegal immigrants is massive, with each family receiving a monthly payment of $250 to $300 per child.

A survey from the Pew Research Center found that roughly 675,000 children are not eligible for a Social Security number, making the tax credit expansion for illegal aliens cost between $2.025 billion to $2.43 billion a year. Other estimates put the total number of illegal children residing in the United States at more than 800,000.

Families, regardless of their legal status, would be eligible to receive checks of $3,600 per year per child. The Democratic bill would amount to a universal basic income for parents residing in the country. Under U.S. law, illegal immigrants are barred from enjoying the benefits of federal entitlements.

Democrats are trying to advance an amnesty provision into the budget reconciliation bill, a process reserved for budgetary matters. Congressional Democrats have argued that granting legal status to millions of illegal aliens would add $139.6 billion to the budget deficit by 2032 due to their increased use of welfare programs. The Senate parliamentarian ruled in September that Democrats cannot include a road to citizenship for illegals in their bill, although party leaders have vowed to keep fighting for its inclusion.

Welfare policy expert Samuel Hammond said the potential payout for illegals under the expanded Child Tax Credit exceeds the per capita income of many migrants' home countries.

"Consider that the value of the CTC for an infant child is now $3,600 per year. That alone represents 40 percent of Colombia’s per capita income, and nearly 120 percent of Haiti’s. This is why countries with unconditional welfare benefits also tend to have relatively restrictive immigration laws," Hammond wrote in American Compass. "America’s historical openness to immigration, in contrast, has in large part been enabled by rules and program structures that minimize the fiscal cost of lower wage migrants."

The White House did not return a request for comment on the Child Tax Credit provision.

Negotiations over the $3.5 trillion reconciliation bill for President Joe Biden’s Build Back Better plan are back on after House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) ultimately declined to bring the bipartisan infrastructure bill (BIF) to a vote last week due to progressives’ threat to sink it if it were put to a vote before the reconciliation package is ready.

The White House and Democratic leaders are working to hammer out a deal with Sens. Joe Manchin (D-WV) and Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ), who both complain that the price for reconciliation — $3.5 trillion — is too high. Manchin’s put his top line at $1.5 trillion, and Sinema has yet to say publicly what she wants.

Pelosi told her Democratic colleagues on Saturday that she wants to pass BIF before October 31.

During an interview on CNN on Sunday, Dr. Anthony Fauci punctured a hole in the right-wing talking point that immigrants are one of the main drivers of the ongoing spread of COVID-19 in the U.S.

‘When you have 700,000 Americans dead and millions, and millions, and millions of Americans getting infected ... you don’t want to look outside to the problem. The problem is within our own country,’ Fauci said. ‘Certainly immigrants can get infected, but they’re not the driving force of this. Let’s face reality here.’

Fauci was responding to a recent KFF poll that found that 55% of Republicans and 40% of unvaccinated respondents think ‘immigrants and tourists bringing COVID-19 into the U.S.' make up a large portion of the country's case numbers.

According to The NY Times’ David Leonhardt on Monday, ‘of the more than 700,000 Americans who have died from [COVID-19], nearly 200,000 probably could have been saved if they had chosen to take a vaccine.’

Climate change is the new religion!

Religion is a belief system based on a combination of logic and faith, mostly beyond the realm of what can be proven scientifically. A dictionary definition is, “Religion is belief in a god or gods and the activities that are connected with this belief, such as praying or worshipping in a building such as a church or temple.”

Or in simpler terms, religion can create order and meaning in a random and chaotic world. Religion is also strongly held and deeply personal, not something tossed aside based on the words of a government, politician, or celebrity.

For many, politics has become a religion and. as a centuries-old etiquette rule advises, “Never discuss politics or religion in polite company.” Unfortunately, today, science has now become political and entered the realm of religion.

For decades, communism was the primary religion of the left. The fall of the Soviet Union and socio-economic failures of Cuba, Venezuela, and other communist dictatorships steered the left toward a new god, mother earth or, simply, the environment. This religion morphed from global cooling in the 1970s to global warming a decade later, now to climate change or extreme weather -- normal cyclic events that have been a part of life on Planet Earth since long before humans existed.

The word “Progressive” needs to be stricken from the vocabulary of conservatives and all freedom loving Americans immediately.  “Progressive” has a positive connotation and makes them sound like the heroes in the emerging nightmare.  “Progressive” politicians and sympathizers are Marxists by action and in many cases by declaration.  They try and hide under the term “socialism” but they are, at the end of the day, Marxists subverting individual freedoms and creating a totalitarian society.  Promising drugs, free money, free health care, and many other fantasies at no cost in exchange for votes and their cooperation in crushing anyone who stands in their way, they are using racism and the covid pandemic as justification for censorship and suspension of the Constitution.

Originating in Germany, it lasted for a while in Russia, China, and Cuba because these countries lacked middle classes and the Marxists preyed upon the poor to overthrow the upper class.  It failed in the US because economic reforms a century ago created a vibrant middle class and therefore destroyed the Marxists’ central argument.   Marxism has never turned out well.  In the 20th century, Marxism caused over 100,000,000 deaths!  There is a reason thousands died trying to escape Marxist countries but not a single person died trying to gain entry into a Marxist country.  Citizens in such countries were deceived by the Marxist masters until the government achieved complete control and hid behind a vast military and police force and the citizens had no escape, no hope, and no choice but to obey.  21st century Marxists, however, are more clever and refined, and are instead using race warfare to overthrow current society, declaring the US and capitalism rotten and racist at its their foundation and must be destroyed and rebuilt.  Our flag, national anthem, Constitution and founders are all evil.  Covid is being used as a catalyst to accelerate change by censoring the opposition and vilifying opponents.  In medicine Marxists are censoring doctors and interjecting critical race theory to re-educate physicians into the new order.

The US is entering a dangerous phase of a culture war.  Marxists (Progressives) are the enemy.   Conservatives must go on the offensive.  Democrats that don’t call out Progressives for the evil they are become complicit much like the average German citizen in the 1930s that looked the other way as the Nazis vilified Jews and used this hatred to rise to power and create a totalitarian state.  Call them Marxists for the dirty word that it is to put Marxists and Democrat sympathizers on the defensive and expose the left wing evil for what it is.

In the words of a democrat from the old democrat party, ““We’re not going to throw out capitalism.  We tried. Other countries tried that. It was called communism, and it just didn’t work.”  To rescue the Democrat party from itself and save America, we need to label ‘Progressives’ as Marxists and the enemy of the state.

Trump's Georgia election meddling puts him 'at substantial risk of charges predicated on multiple crimes': legal experts

Brad Reed

October 04, 2021

Former President Donald Trump is still being investigated by law enforcement officials in Georgia for his efforts to get Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger to overturn the results of the 2020 election.

However, a group of seven legal experts published an analysis for the Brookings Institute on Monday arguing that Trump's actions in Georgia leave him "at substantial risk of possible state charges predicated on multiple crimes."

The officials then outlined exactly what Trump could potentially be charged with.

"These charges potentially include: criminal solicitation to commit election fraud; intentional interference with performance of election duties; conspiracy to commit election fraud; criminal solicitation; and state RICO violations," they write. "Our conclusion is based entirely on publicly available reporting and evidence, including the recording of Trump's call to Raffensperger."

During the infamous phone call, Trump asked Raffensperger if he could "find" the 11,779 votes that he would need to overtake President Joe Biden's lead in the state.

The legal experts say that this is relevant because it ties into Trump's broader scheme to overturn the election results in other key swing states won by Biden, and shows a corrupt intent to simply manipulate voting totals to remain in power.

Merrick Garland orders FBI to monitor anti-maskers' threats against school staff around the country

Matthew Chapman

October 04, 2021

Merrick Garland (Screen Capture)

On Monday, in a new letter reported by the Huffington Post's Ryan J. Reilly, Attorney General Merrick Garland announced new actions from the Justice Department and the FBI to protect educators around the country from what he described as a "disturbing spike in threats of violence against school administrators, board members, teachers, and staff" at public schools.

"Threats against public servants are not only illegal, they run counter to our nation's core values," wrote Garland. "Those who dedicate their time and energy to ensuring that our children receive a proper education in a safe environment deserve to be able to do their work without fear for their safety."

Garland will be directing the FBI, in conjunction with U.S. attorneys, to "open up lines of communication" with schools to make it easier to report threats.

This action comes as the National School Boards Association issued an urgent plea to the DOJ to assist against threats, which have been driven in part by anger over mask mandates and other COVID-19 safety measures. Many recent town halls have been inundated by angry mobs, sometimes with Republican congressmen egging them on.

WASHINGTON — A group of prominent lawyers, including former governors and judges, urged the California bar on Monday to launch an investigation into John C. Eastman’s role in advising President Trump on how he could overturn his election defeat, including by having his vice president refuse to count the electoral votes in seven states won by President Biden.

Eastman, a former law professor and dean at Chapman University in Orange County, emerged as a key legal advisor to Trump in the weeks after it was apparent he had been defeated in the November election. He wrote two legal memos that advised Vice President Mike Pence he could decide the results in several states were disputed and therefore that their electoral votes would go uncounted. Doing so would have turned Trump from a loser to the winner.

Trump repeatedly pressed Pence to follow Eastman’s advice. But Pence understood correctly that the Constitution gave the vice president a quite limited role. He presides in Congress on the day when the electoral votes are counted, but he has no role beyond opening the envelopes and announcing the state-by-state results.

Despite Trump’s pressure, Pence decided he would follow the law, not the advice from Eastman.

A nonpartisan legal group called States United Democracy Center said the State Bar should look into what Eastman did.

“We write to request that the State Bar investigate serious evidence of professional misconduct by Professor John C. Eastman in connection with his representation of former President Donald J. Trump in efforts to discredit and overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election,” they said.

“The available evidence supports a strong case that … Mr. Eastman violated his ethical obligations as an attorney by filing frivolous claims, making false statements, and engaging in deceptive conduct…. On January 6, 2021, Mr. Eastman continued this pattern of misconduct by giving the crowd at the ‘Stop the Steal’ rally on the National Mall another version of his misleading advice and stating that, by rejecting it, Mr. Pence had proved himself undeserving of his office.”

The letter was sent to George S. Cardona, chief trial counsel at the Los Angeles office of the State Bar of California. The signers include former governors Christine Todd Whitman, a New Jersey Republican, and Steve Bullock, a Montana Democrat; retired California Supreme Court Justices Kathryn Werdegar and Joseph Grodin; retired California federal judges Thelton Henderson, Fern M. Smith and Lowell Jensen; and UC Berkeley Law Dean Erwin Chemerinsky and Harvard law professor Laurence Tribe.

The nutcases are getting crazier.

Democrats carefully designed both massive spending packages to bribe every interest group they need to get elected and re-elected next year.  Their combined $4.5 trillion spending plan includes $18 billion for homeowners, $13.5 billion for vehicle charging stations, $5 billion for “free” electric firetrucks and school buses, $27.5 billion for “green” energy “loans” that don’t get paid back.  The evillest spending is roughly $6 billion paid to schools, colleges, and “community organizers” for “climate justice” programs.”  These are pure propaganda campaigns to promote their fake science and to elect Democrats who support this radical agenda.

Finally, Democrats know that their allies in the media will scare voters into supporting this program.  Every day they will falsely report that every hurricane, tornado, heavy rain, drought and brush fire in America is caused by “climate change.”  They will falsely blame anyone who opposes these spending packages as being responsible for every death and loss.

Will conservative Americans wake up and fight back in time to stop this?

Appearing on CNN's New Day on Tuesday morning, former White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham issued a grave warning about a potential second Donald Trump administration.

During a discussion about her new tell-all book, "I'll Take Your Questions Now," CNN co-host John Berman asked Grisham, "What is the message you want to send about where you think the country is now, and the threat you think the former president poses?"

"I think the country right now has so much hatred, and I think that the (former) president likes that," Grisham responded. "I think he likes to control people's thoughts that way. He views these people as fighters, and fighting for him, and then he just covers it up with words like 'patriots,' but they're not patriots. They're out there destroying our country."

Grisham explained that after resigning in the wake of the Capitol insurrection, she "went far away to Middle America" to "decompress" and "deprogram" — but watched the remainder of the Trump presidency unfold from afar.

"The fact that he is pushing this election lie is scary to me, and the fact that he's the frontrunner right now, if he were to run for office, is scary to me," Grisham said. "And that's because, if he gets into office, he doesn't run for re-election again. He'll be able to do whatever he wants, and we all know, there's going to be retribution, there's going revenge. I guarantee there will be very draconian policies, and they're not going to care, because they don't have to run for re-election again.

There It Is – Study Finds Predominance of Antibody-Resistant SARS-CoV-2 Variants in Vaccine Breakthrough Cases in San Francisco Bay Area

What this study finds is exactly what vaccine developer Geert Vanden Bossche (Belgium) has been predicting. The predominance of antibody-resistant SARS-CoV-2 variants in vaccine breakthrough cases from the San Francisco Bay Area, California. [DATA LINK HERE]

The California study finds that vaccinated individuals are more susceptible to COVID variant infections than unvaccinated. Geer Vanden Bossche has been warning that vaccine antibodies would suppress natural antibody responses. The vaccine antibodies take control of the immune system and defend only against a targeted virus.

Among vaccinated individuals, a COVID variant virus is not recognized by the specialized antibodies provided by the vaccine, and the natural antibodies have been programmed to stand down.

(MedRxiv) Associations between vaccine breakthrough cases and infection by SARS coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) variants have remained largely unexplored. Here we analyzed SARS-CoV-2 whole-genome sequences and viral loads from 1,373 persons with COVID-19 from the San Francisco Bay Area from February 1 to June 30, 2021, of which 125 (9.1%) were vaccine breakthrough infections. Fully vaccinated were more likely than unvaccinated persons to be infected by variants carrying mutations associated with decreased antibody neutralization.

[…] These findings suggest that vaccine breakthrough cases are preferentially caused by circulating antibody-resistant SARS-CoV-2 variants, and that symptomatic breakthrough infections may potentially transmit COVID-19 as efficiently as unvaccinated infections. (read more)

Be careful around vaccinated people, because they can carry a more resistant form of COVID-19. Additionally, the highly specialized antibodies in the vaccine create a need for a booster for each antibody resistant variant. Israel is already on booster #2.

State of the virus

Update for Oct. 1

Reports of new cases have been falling steadily in recent weeks as much of the country moves past a summer surge.

That progress has been especially pronounced in Southern states that saw the highest infection rates.

There are about 20,000 fewer coronavirus patients hospitalized nationwide as there were at the start of September
Nearly 2,000 coronavirus deaths are being reported each day.

On Friday, the country surpassed 700,000 total deaths in the pandemic.

Alaska leads the country by a wide margin in recent cases per capita. The surge there has hit rural and urban areas, leaving hospital systems strained.

Parts of the Mountain West, including Wyoming and Montana, have reported some of the country’s worst outbreaks in recent weeks. But it appears both those states may be starting to stabilize.

Daily case reports continue to plummet in the South. Florida, which averaged more than 20,000 cases a day during much of August, is now reporting fewer than 6,000 infections a day.

Louisiana, which weeks ago was averaging more than 5,000 cases daily, is now reporting about 1,000 cases each day.

Sleepy Joe Biden is doing a great job!

In Biden's America, the FBI gets sent after suburban parents attending school board meetings but not after BLM and Antifa rioters destroying cities.

But if 70 million still refuse to get vaccinated, we culd be in for another surge.

Who to blame?

Why shouldn't the FBI be taking interest in parents who are failing to protect their own children or the children of others.

Attorney General Merrick Garland on Monday ordered federal law enforcement authorities to huddle with local leaders in the coming weeks to address what the nation’s top prosecutor called a recent ‘disturbing spike in harassment, intimidation, and threats of violence’ against educators and school board members,”

School board members are volunteers.

Nutcase assholes have been threatening them with violence.

The Biden administration is rapidly repurposing federal law enforcement to target political opposition.

They want to reclassify dissent as "disinformation" and "domestic terrorism," justifying an unprecedented intervention, both directly and in partnership with tech companies.

Neither the Attorney General's memo nor the full Justice Department press release cites any significant, credible threat.

This is a blatant suppression tactic, designed to dissuade citizens from participating in the democratic process at school boards.

WASHINGTON (AP) — A former Facebook data scientist has stunned lawmakers and the public with revelations of the company’s awareness of apparent harm to some teens from Instagram and her accusations of dishonesty in its fight against hate and misinformation. Now she is coming before Congress.

Frances Haugen has come forward with a wide-ranging condemnation of Facebook, buttressed with tens of thousands of pages of internal research documents she secretly copied before leaving her job in Facebook’s civic integrity unit. Haugen also has filed complaints with federal authorities alleging that Facebook’s own research shows that it amplifies hate, misinformation and political unrest, but the company hides what it knows.

After recent reports in The Wall Street Journal based on documents she leaked to the newspaper raised a public outcry, Haugen revealed her identity in a CBS “60 Minutes” interview aired Sunday night. She insisted that “Facebook, over and over again, has shown it chooses profit over safety.”

Parents try to protect their kids from divisive political, racist propaganda and Garland sends the FBI after them. Do glad he's not on the court.

Meanwhile he lets liberal activists run wild.
