Now unlike the entire Trump collusion fiasco, this is a real scandal

Durham Probes Pentagon Computer Contractors in Anti-Trump Conspiracy
Cybersecurity experts who held lucrative Pentagon and homeland security contracts and high-level security clearances are under investigation for potentially abusing their government privileges to aid a 2016 Clinton campaign plot to falsely link Donald Trump to Russia and trigger an FBI investigation of him and his campaign, according to several sources familiar with the work of Special Counsel John Durham.
Durham is investigating whether they were involved in a scheme to misuse sensitive, nonpublic Internet data, which they had access to through their government contracts, to dredge up derogatory information on Trump on behalf of the Clinton campaign in 2016 and again in 2017, sources say — political dirt that sent FBI investigators on a wild goose chase. Prosecutors are also investigating whether some of the data presented to the FBI was faked or forged.
Let's start with the lie that there has never been a "deep state" portion of the Government that works on behave of certain types of politicians. Everybody deep down knows it exists and that it exists to keep itself in positions of power. In this case, there seems to be a lot of Government employees willing to go quite a bit too far for the sake of Hillary Clinton's political career.

But if true (and unlike Mueller, Durham is someone with integrity and is not likely chasing false leads) this is scandal in the highest degree. We had people within the Government feeding the FBI false (or even faked) information in an attempt to take down Donald Trump. Moreover, the FBI may actually have known that the information was false or faked when they used it to justify the witch hunt that was the Russian collusion conspiracy.

What remains one of the other problems here is that the mainstream media will not cover this story to any real degree. Why? Because they were implicit in the entire conspiracy to bring down Donald Trump. The entire concept of this Russia Trump collusion story was never something that made any sense. From the deep state who provided fake information, to the FBI and later the Mueller investigation, to the media who obsessively reported on it... this was a poorly oiled machine designed to convince the country (and the world) that Trump and Putin stole the election from Hillary Clinton.

The Deep staters tried to destroy the Orange Monster with 2015

Washington agencies provide such tech contractors privileged access to massive caches of sensitive, nonpublic information about Internet traffic to help combat cyber-crimes.

On Nov. 17, 2016, the Pentagon awarded Georgia Tech a cybersecurity research contract worth more than $17 million. The project, dubbed “Rhamnousia," would allow researchers to “sift through existing and new data sets” to find “bad actors” on the Internet. The indictment said the researchers had been provided “early access to Internet data in order to establish a ‘proof of concept’ for work under the contract.” Of course, the government did not pay the researchers to look for dirt on Trump in the sensitive DNS databases.

“The primary purpose of the contract,” the indictment noted, "was for researchers to receive and analyze large quantities of DNS data in order to identify the perpetrators of malicious cyber-attacks and protect U.S. national security.”

Instead, the scientists took the political fishing expedition. According to the indictment, Joffe directed Lorenzen and the two university researchers to “search broadly through Internet data for any information about Trump’s potential ties to Russia.”

The Georgia Tech researchers named as “investigators” on the project included David Dagon and Manos Antonakakis, who the sources confirmed are the two university researchers cited by Durham in his indictment. Antonakakis is the “Researcher-1” referenced in the indictment whom the grand jury said remarked in an email that “the only thing that drives us is that we just do not like [Trump.].”

The original $17 million Rhamnousia contract was approved for five years, federal contracting records show. But the program was recently renewed and has grown into a more than $25 million Defense Department contract -- led by the same Georgia Tech research team.

You have been brainwashed again Scott

Well generally you have reason to start an investigation which leads to things like searching for potential ties.

This was government employees using government time and government equipment to search for information so that they could create and push the FBI into an investigation. Then it sounds like when they couldn't find what they were looking for that the fabricated information to provide to the FBI.

If you do not see anything "wrong" with that...

Biden did replace him. He had been a U.S. Attorney until Biden asked every last one of them to resign.

The President (on the flip side) doesn't have any authority to "replace" a Special Counsel.

You should really pay attention Roger.

I also would ask you to tell us exactly what about Durham (other than he was appointed by Barr) that makes you believe he was a Partisan of any degree? What else has he done in his life that makes you suspect that?

His only previous engagement with something like this was when Eric Holder (Obama Administration) appointed him to lead the investigation into the enhanced interrogation techniques used by the Bush Administration. Why would the Obama Administration appoint a right wing partisan?

COVID-19 misinformation refers to any kind of subject about the COVID-19 pandemic that has resulted in misinformation and conspiracy theories about the scale of the pandemic and the origin, prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of the disease. False information, including intentional disinformation, has been spread through social media, text messaging,[1] and mass media. False information has been propagated by celebrities, politicians, and other prominent public figures. Multiple countries have passed laws against "fake news", and thousands of people have been arrested for spreading COVID-19 misinformation. The spread of COVID-19 misinformation by governments has also been significant.

Disinfodemic – Deciphering COVID-19 disinformation, published by UNESCO

Commercial scams have claimed to offer at-home tests, supposed preventives, and "miracle" cures.[2] Several religious groups have claimed their faith will protect them from the virus.[3] Without evidence, some people have claimed the virus is a bioweapon accidentally or deliberately leaked from a laboratory, a population control scheme, the result of a spy operation, or the side effect of 5G upgrades to cellular networks.[4]

The World Health Organization (WHO) declared an "infodemic" of incorrect information about the virus that poses risks to global health.[5] While belief in conspiracy theories is not a new phenomenon, in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, this can lead to adverse health effects. Cognitive biases, such as jumping to conclusions and confirmation bias, may be linked to the occurrence of conspiracy beliefs.[6] In addition to health effects, harms resulting from the spread of misinformation and endorsement of conspiracy theories include increasing distrust of news organizations and medical authorities as well as divisiveness and political fragmentation.[7]

C.H. Truth said...

Sorry Roger...

But when you just attacked Durham for being a partisan without any evidence whatsoever that he is... because you "want" to justification to discount anything he finds... that is you just backing up an assumption without actually having any evidence. It literally goes beyond confirmation bias.

Also, when there is actual evidence and a non-partisan objective prosecutor such as Durham is the one uncovering it... it would be considered "cognitive dissonance" to discount it, simply because you erroneously assume Durham is some sort of partisan hack plotting to push along conspiracy theories.

The reality here is that we now have evidence that there were people inside our own Government feeding false of fake evidence to the FBI with the explicit reasoning to start an investigation into Trump. There is also evidence that many of these people were tied to the Clintons.

Durham has also uncovered emails where FBI investigators literally admitted that the ONLY reason the investigation was continuing was because of their dislike of Trump.

You cannot (as a Government employee) just randomly try to prompt investigation and you cannot as an FBI just continue to investigate because you don't like a particular person. It's literally against the law.

I read both sides Scott but you won't read this article because it is different than what you believe..

Speaking to CNN host Pamela Brown on Sunday, Fiona Hill, the former Russia expert at the U.S. National Security Council under President Donald Trump, explained that she is far more concerned about the ex-president than Vladimir Putin.

"What Russia has been doing for quite some time, and especially since its intervention in the 2016 elections, is actually using material and those kinds of statements to exploit them and to basically come to some sort of division," she explained."I think the most disturbing thing for anybody watching American politics for the last several years has been the fact that it's our own president, our own former president, Donald Trump, who has been talking down U.S. democracy. In many respects, the Russians don't have to do very much but sit back and watch as he does this. It was President Trump who told everybody the election would be stolen."

Trump began talking about the "rigged" election weeks before any votes were even cast.
It was the same kind of tactic that Larry Elder used in the California recall election where here claimed, before the election, that Gov. Gavin Newsom stole it.

In 2016, Trump claimed that the election was rigged and fraudulent even though he won. He told supporters that there were 3 million illegal votes in California or he would have won the popular vote. He tasked Republican Kris Kobach to uncover the so-called fraud, but Kobach was unable to do it.

In 2020, Trump tried a different tactic, telling his supporters, "The Democrats are trying to Rig the 2020 Election, plain and simple!" As far back as June 2020, Trump was claiming that voting by mail was a conspiracy to let China throw the election to the Democrats.

"Before when it happened in 2020, it was President Trump who told people not to rely on the postal service," said Hill. "President Trump has been accusing other Americans, including members of his own party who have been the electoral officials in many of the states for somehow stealing the election. This is really happening from a foreign adversary. It's frustrating this is disinformation, especially when it's coming from the top."

In an earlier interview with Sunday's "Face the Nation," Hill said that the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol was a "dress rehearsal" for future right-wing political violence.

America is Being Sabotaged: Destruction of Prosperity and Freedom is on the Horizon

L.A City Firefighters: From Heroes to Zeroes

To many observers, our Southern border policy is wrong-headed, our Afghanistan withdrawal was a fiasco, and the Democrat party’s $3.5 trillion, 2,500-page budget "reconciliation" is egregiously unwise as well as too long and obscure.

Nick Miroff reported in the Texas Tribune that one frustrated ICE official said that “they are abolishing ICE without abolishing ICE.”

Further, the statements of our top generals and of the president are riddled with lies and evasions about Afghanistan. The generals all said to Congress that their memoranda recommended that 2,500 soldiers be left in Afghanistan as we transitioned out, but none would say that he actually said those words to the president.  Each of those sycophants said they would not repeat their actual conversations with the president.  It is embarrassing for any ethical citizen to hear these words of equivocation.  These mealy-mouthed individuals are top multi-star generals.  Incredible.

The citizen may get the impression from the above lies, mistakes, and equivocations that the Democrat party in Congress and the executive branch are unwise, incompetent, or excessively ideological.

However, this writer believes it would be more accurate to say that the intent of the majority party and of our president is to sabotage the U.S.A., to destroy our stability and economic viability, to weaken our military to the point that it becomes ineffectual, to produce social chaos and instability within our borders, and to disrupt the prosperity of the vast majority of the citizens.

In these ways, the poor will become poorer, the middle class will sink into poverty, and the rich, laughing all the way to the bank, will be regularly kissing the “elbows” of the Democrats and Republicans with bribes of money and gifts. The disrupted lives of the citizens will breed fear, mutual distrust (breakdown of community – already begun with remote learning and remote workplaces), and a vulnerability that makes our society more susceptible to tyrannical rule.  Freedom will be increasingly suppressed and, in many areas of the country, it seems likely that martial law will be invoked.

This picture of the purposeful decline of the U.S.A. is paralleled in the New Testament by the fall of Babylon.  “Babylon” can be a symbol of a great society, or a powerful nation or consortium of nations, or of an empire that collapses as part of the judgment of God because of its wickedness.  It does not have to be a one-time event.  The fall of Rome in the 5th century was a fall of Babylon. The Holy Roman Empire, established in the 9th century, also disintegrated. The Spanish Empire was extensive, but after the Spanish fleet was destroyed as it mobilized to attack Great Britain, the glory of Spain throughout the world began to fade. By the 19th century, Spanish control of South America began to wane, and by 1901, the Spanish presence in North and South America as well as in the Philippines was part of the past. That was another fall of Babylon.

The British Empire was extensive in the 17th through the 20th centuries, only to collapse gradually in North America, Africa, India, China, and only the “Commonwealth” remained as a relic of the extended power that once was held by Great Britain.

America is the latest Babylon attempting to be the protector of the entire world and by our marketing, military might, and commercial genius, to dominate the world. Yet, this article would proclaim that the time of our diminishment and destruction as a modern Babylon has come.  The leaders of our country are dismantling the country.  We are not merely seeing some unwise policies being implemented or advanced.  We are imploding.

Even worse than that

The American people, and especially the aggrieved and subjugated “deplorables,” responded in 2016 by electing to the presidency a man, in Donald Trump, who spoke their language and vowed to fight for them against the uniparty ruling class regime. The ruling class responded by launching an unprecedented, four-year-long campaign against the president, from deep state malfeasance to galling and gratuitous media coverage to coordinated Big Tech censorship (most egregiously, the quashed New York Post Hunter Biden laptop story).

Beware of Regime-Approved Whistleblowers

A real whistleblower takes real risks and opposes corruption at the top, rather than aligning with those at the top to usher in a more perfect form of surveillance capitalism.

By Christopher Roach

October 10, 2021

Ritual humiliation of social media companies is becoming something of a tradition. Most typically, social media CEOs are hauled before Congress, harangued for a day, promise to “do better,” and then go back to business as usual.

Last week a new kind of social media witness appeared: a whistleblower. Frances Haugen emerged with a great deal of fanfare, complete with a public relations firm, a verified account on Twitter, and a fawning entourage, including members of the press and Congress. But instead of denouncing social media for its excessive power, wealth, and hostility to traditional American values, Haugen pleaded for regulations that happen to align with the peculiar values and interests of Silicon Valley.

She denounced free speech on the platform as a threat to democracy and lamented Facebook’s disbanding of its civil Integrity team, which was the key to Facebook’s recent meddling in American elections. While some of her criticisms were designed to appeal to normal people with normal sensibilities—such as exposing Facebook’s shockingly frank willingness to create algorithms to track and engage children—the bulk of her agenda was not so different from the preferences of social media leaders.

Namely, she wants social media to act as a gatekeeper and curator of content, much like the legacy media did before the internet was created. In an age of partisan and shockingly dishonest mainstream institutions, many people have lost all confidence in centralized control.

Kputz is probably crying.

The Buffalo Bills have solidified themselves as a surefire favorite in the AFC.

Even after a rain delay that lasted more than an hour and cleared out Arrowhead Stadium, Buffalo rolled past the Kansas City Chiefs 38-20 in dominant fashion.

The Bills look like they have the pieces to finally make a meaningful run in the AFC, and perhaps the biggest lingering question was how they would look against a quality opponent after blowing out bad teams three straight weeks. A victory over the Chiefs, who’ve been to the Super Bowl two straight years, should alleviate any of those fears.

The Bills, it seems, are for real.

We're supposed to take the opinions of CDC/NIH/various politicians as gospel, yet none of their rhetoric comes close to matching reality.

It's a virus which we all will contract. Some will die, others won't. Your overall physical health and your ability to reduce or eliminate comorbidities is your best defense against dying from Covid. All the rest is just political blather from imbeciles drunk on power.

Millions of people suffer from symptoms of long Covid, doctors estimate. Now, early research is offering some clues about whether vaccinations might help.

When the vaccines first came out, some people who had suffered from debilitating symptoms for months after their initial Covid-19 infections told their doctors they felt better after getting vaccinated. The response intrigued scientists. Now, emerging research suggests that vaccines may help reduce symptoms in some people.

Other recent research indicates that vaccination can reduce the likelihood of developing long-term Covid-19 symptoms in the first place.

Long Covid is one of the most baffling effects of Covid-19. An estimated 10% to 30% of people develop symptoms that last for months after their initial infection, including fatigue, cognitive problems, shortness of breath or racing heartbeat. Doctors don’t fully understand the condition and have few options for treatment.

Studies on long Covid and vaccines are being closely watched. Some officials inside the Biden administration have advocated wide use of vaccine boosters to help prevent Covid-19 infection and further reduce the risk of developing long Covid, The Wall Street Journal has reported.

A September study in the medical journal Lancet found that fully vaccinated people who got a breakthrough infection were about 50% less likely to develop long Covid than unvaccinated people with Covid-19. In the vaccinated group, 5% of people developed long Covid, compared with 11.5% in the unvaccinated group.

“That’s a very strong and significant reduction,” says Claire Steves, a geriatrician and clinical academic at King’s College in London and senior author of the study. Vaccinated people are also far less likely to get infected in the first place, she notes.

Another recent study looked at whether vaccination could help reduce people’s symptoms after they developed long Covid. Preliminary findings from a French study in September found that a group of long Covid patients reported an average of 13 symptoms four months after vaccination compared with 15 symptoms before.

The rate of remission in the vaccinated group was 16.6% four months after vaccination, compared with 7.5% in a control group of long Covid patients who didn’t get vaccinated. Vaccinated patients also reported that the condition had less of an impact on their lives.

Sweden has the best outcome of the pandemic because they believe in a fair distribution of income without impairing economic growth.

Stopping an economy in response to a virus is the most illogical, insane, and damaging idea in the history of mankind. The final toll of that destruction will be unimaginable when all is said and done.

Absolute madness and it was supported by 99% of people with a platform.

Imagine requiring the same things from the gay community over AIDS that Killer Joe is attempting to require of everyone over Covid.

It would make the Stonewall riots look like a quilting bee, and the shrieks from the gay community could be heard on Mars. And rightly so.

A fair warning

Days after neo-Nazi James Fields Jr. murdered antiracist activist Heather Heyer in a horrific car-ramming attack in Charlottesville, Va., the Daily Caller, a website founded by Tucker Carlson, quietly removed articles by contributor Jason Kessler.

Kessler was the primary organizer of the Unite the Right rally, which saw neo-Nazis chant, "Jews will not replace us," as they carried torches to the Rotunda at the University of Virginia on Aug. 11, 2017 and again the following day as they marched through Charlottesville.

More than four years later, the ideas that galvanized the Unite the Right rally are no longer considered too radioactive for mainstream conservative media. Carlson himself embraced the Great Replacement theory — responsible for fueling massacres in Pittsburgh; Christchurch, New Zealand; Poway, Calif.; and El Paso, Texas — on his Fox News show in April 2021. He accused Democrats of "trying to replace the current electorate" in the United States "with new people, more obedient voters from the Third World."

There are distinct differences in messaging between Unite the Right, in which white supremacists used Confederate symbols and neo-Nazi aesthetics to nakedly promote white nationalism, and the Jan. 6 insurrection, in which Trump supporters filtered similar aims through QAnon, paranoid anticommunism, and a perverted version of patriotism.

Amy Spitalnick, executive director of Integrity First for America — the nonprofit supporting a civil lawsuit against the organizers of Unite the Right — is among those who see distinct similarities between the two events.

"The four years in between have shown us how much of this extremism has moved into the mainstream," she said. "If you look at the tools and tactics, there are many, many parallels, from the use of social media to plan the violence to explicit discussion of the use of free speech instruments like flagpoles as weapons, to the immediate finger-pointing to 'antifa, blaming them for the violence that far-right extremists were responsible for to even some of the ideology.

"While Charlottesville was explicitly white nationalist with holocaust imagery, and with KKK and Nazi paraphernalia like the tiki torches that are meant to evoke dark periods of our history, on January 6th when you think about 'stopping the steal,' it also speaks at its core to this same idea: There's a plot to steal the country from largely white Christians," Spitalnick continued. "That idea that Jews will not replace us is at the core of Unite the Right, but it's also at the core of Jan. 6. We've seen how these ideas have been mainstreamed, from Tucker Carlson giving replacement theory a home on Fox News every night to Republican politicians talking about it."

The two dozen leaders and organizations that go on trial later this month in Charlottesville have not been the primary drivers of far-right radicalization over the past four years. While the defendants who were the central organizers of Unite the Right have been financially hobbled by ongoing litigation, some of those who attended the rally played important roles in organizing support for the Jan. 6 attack on the US Capitol.

Nicholas Fuentes, who attended the rally as an 18-year-old Boston University student, gushed on Facebook on Aug. 12, 2017: "The rootless transnational elite knows that a tidal wave of white identity is coming. And they know that once the word gets outs, they will not be able to stop us. The fire rises!"

Less than .0006 percent of the child population in this country has died of COVID over the last two years. Less than 1 percent of all child deaths during that period are attributed to COVID. There is no pandemic for our kids. There never has been. It's all a lie.

There are two parts to the human dilemma. One is the belief that the end justifies the means. That push-button philosophy, that deliberate deafness to suffering has become the monster in the war machine. The other is the betrayal of the human spirit. The assertion of dogma closes the mind and turns a nation, a civilization into a regiment of ghosts -- obedient ghosts, or tortured ghosts.

It's said that science will dehumanize people and turn them into numbers. That's false -- tragically false.

Look for yourself.

This is the concentration camp and crematorium at Auschwitz. This is where people were turned into numbers. Into this pond were flushed the ashes of some four million people. And that was not done by gas -- it was done by arrogance, it was done by dogma, it was done by ignorance.

When people believe that they have absolute knowledge, with no test in reality, this is how they behave. This is what men do when they aspire to the knowledge of gods.

‘The president’s decline is alarming’:

Biden trapped in coronavirus malaise

ATLANTA — In a focus group last week, Pennsylvania Democrats one after another articulated the issue vexing top White House aides, party operatives in Virginia and voters in Georgia: Why isn’t President Joe Biden’s diminished job rating rebounding?

All nine participants from Tuesday’s session gave Biden C- grades or lower. And their answers circled back to a similar point: The pandemic and the many ways it continues to hinder normal life is souring their views of Biden.

Only 9 months, and every single thing Biden has touched has turned to SHIT.

EVERY SINGLE THING.

Yesterday I have been worried about this because we are in danger.

ICYMI, Eugene Robinson asks: “How dumb can a nation get and still survive?”

I’m afraid we are going to find out. From his piece:

T.S. Eliot wrote that the world ends "not with a bang but a whimper,” but I fear our great nation is careening toward a third manner of demise: descent into lip-blubbering, self-destructive idiocy.

How did we become, in such alarming measure, so dumb? Why is the news dominated by ridiculous controversies that should not be controversial at all? When did so many of our fellow citizens become full-blown nihilists who deny even the concept of objective reality? And how must this look to the rest of the world?

I had some thoughts about this the other day:

The ReidOut @thereidout

.@SykesCharlie: "You have guys from Yale and Harvard who are vying with one another for who can come up with the dumbest possible approach and appeal." #TheReidOut #reiders

Ohio US Senate candidate @JoshMandelOhio believes “coronavirus, January 6th, the entire BLM and Antifa looting and riots,” were operations organized by the Deep State and funded by George Soros.

Betrayal: The Final Act of the Trump Show.

"While the Capitol was under attack on Jan. 6, former President Donald Trump remained out of sight from the public and watched TV in the White House private dining room,” ABC News reports, based on reporting from Jonathan Karl’s new book, Betrayal.

“The former president liked what he saw, boasted about the size of the crowd and argued with aides who wanted him to tell his supporters to stop rioting.”

Sedition has the death penalty.

We won't do that because we are not a dictatorship yet.

So we're going to send MILLION$ to the Taliban.

Makes sense...

ISLAMABAD (AP) — The U.S. has agreed to provide humanitarian aid to a desperately poor Afghanistan on the brink of an economic disaster, while refusing to give political recognition to the country’s new Taliban rulers, the Taliban said Sunday.

The statement came at the end of the first direct talks between the former foes since the chaotic withdrawal of U.S. troops at the end of August.

The U.S. statement was less definitive, saying only that the two sides “discussed the United States’ provision of robust humanitarian assistance, directly to the Afghan people.”

Sending aid "directly to the Afghan people" is not possible, and only pathological liars would say that it is.

Fake news robotics from the American Greatness museum lollipop

There is no pandemic. There never was. Since only 6% of “COVID deaths” were from only the bug, there have only been about 40,000 total, roughly equal to seasonal flu. In the early days, we didn’t know how to treat it and rationally feared that the new Black Death had arrived. But by May of last year, we already knew that HCQ was probably effective in early cases. Early treatment would cause a (non)crisis to go to waste, and that could not be allowed. So very effective treatments and excellent prophylactic measures were suppressed.

Ineffective masks, social distancing, vaccine passports, lockdowns, and the like were mandated. They became part of an “Orange Man Bad” publicity campaign.

There's no such thing as "democratic socialism" and there never was.

The "democratic" part is getting enough willfully ignorant people to vote it in.

And then when we realize what it really is we will be forced to shoot our way out.

Personally, I'm fine with that.
