In late-breaking news the night of November 16, 2021, the defense filed a motion for a mistrial with prejudice on grounds that the State failed to provide the defense with the high-definition drone video in its possession, insteady merely providing the defense with a low-resolution version of that video, as well as on other grounds.
In some ways it makes me sick to my stomach to see what prosecutors can get away with. At this point in time, quite literally their entire argument against self defense comes from a grainy hard to see drone video and a weakly enhanced photo taken from that video.
The problem that the defense has (and it seems a legitimate concern from a layman's point of view) is that the state apparently has a higher definition video that they never provided to the defense. Why (if a low resolution video) supposedly proves your case, would that same video in better resolution do a better job of proving that case? They are either using a lower quality video at the trial or using a video that was not given to the defense prior to using it (as trial rules and laws require). All we know is that there are two version of the video (480 vs 1920) and the State has not turned over the 1920 version to anyone.
The judge sounded tempted to provide the mistrial with prejudice previously based on his belief that the prosecution was not being honest and forthcoming in explaining why they broke the rules. This could be the straw that breaks the camel's back.
The picture that supposedly shows Rittenhouse pointing a gun is supposed to create doubt in the minds of the jurors, even if it doesn't show anything definite. That also appears to be the point with the drone video. They are using hard to see video as an attempt to undercut the eye witness accounts and physical evidence. Without the video, the judge might have given a summary judgement of not-guilty.

If they used doctored videos to prove intent, the judge can probably tell the jurors to disregard, because they often do that.
But if he is not acquitted, he has a strong case to appeal...

Getting to “guilty” and locking 18-year-old Kyle Rittenhouse away for life would help their unstinting efforts to divide the country. Former President Donald Trump did a truly crazy interview with MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell in which he rolled out a new — and false — explanation for why he lost the 2020 presidential election.
Said Trump:
“We know what happened… they basically used COVID-19 or the China virus to rig the election, and it’s a shame.”
Goddard comments:
"It’s not at all clear why Trump is wearing a tuxedo for the interview."

The difference between the video that the State provided the Defense and the one they have in their possession is 480 to 1920. That is a significant difference. According to the actual document, it is unclear if the jury saw the 480 version given to the State rather than the higher definition to make things murkier than they are - or they used the 1920 without providing it to the defense as they are required.
Either way, they broke serious protocol for the third time (fourth time if you could the fact that they pushed the defendant not speaking about his case twice after being told they could not do it). The other issue was that they brought up a question about something he said in a car, that the Judge had ruled inadmissible.
So on paper, any one of those could be enough for a mistrial, the bigger problem is that this is easy picking for an appeal if the State gets any convictions. THe fact that he judge allowed at least four serious prosecution situations where they defied Judicial ruling and/or the rules of criminal trials...

Not "doctored" Roger... there are two different videos. One that the State has and one that they provided to the Defense. If they used the one that they provided to the defense then they were not using the 1920 (for a reason). If they used the higher resolution at the trial, then they presented evidence not first provided to the Defense.
Two possibilities: The original video was in low grade 480, provided to the defense, and then the prosecution "enhanced" the 480 to make it 1920 but never gave that to defense. Illegal.
Second possibility is that the 1920 was the original video but they condensed it to make it lower definition and then sent that version to the State.
Videos don't just come in two resolutions. They "created" one of the two versions and were not honest about it.
To go from 420 to 1920 would require considerable enhancement of the Video that it's admissibility would have been available.
But that still didn't relieve the prosecution of it's duty to make the video available to the defense.
Because the defense might want to make their own motion as to it's admissibility. Especially if this version was exculpatory to their client. (Which I gather it was)

MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell hopes to “overturn” the 2020 US presidential election result with the broadcast of his exclusive interview with Donald Trump over the Thanksgiving weekend.
He released a teaser for the three-day, “marathon broadcast” this week. It showed Mr Lindell comparing Joe Biden’s 4 November 2020 victory and the days after that to “living in the Twilight zone” as the former president, clad in an ill-fitted tuxedo, listened.
“What we want is a strong military, great education for our children, a nice house to live in, you know it is so basic and they fight us. It’s very sad,” Mr Trump said in the teaser.
Mr Lindell responded: “You go back to November 4 and we all lived this Twilight Zone… There’s an old saying, you know, if a tree falls in the forest and no one heard it, did it really fall? Well, then the media tells us there is no forest. We were all living in this Twilight Zone and you were living there with us, but then you had all the betrayals and attacks on you that escalated to a whole other level.”
Mr Lindell has been one of the leading voices to propagate conspiracy theories that there was widespread voter fraud in the 2020 presidential election. He has produced documentaries, hosted rallies and even has a devoted social media platform to further these claims.
Mr Lindell had previously predicted that the Supreme Court would overturn the election in August but when that did not materialise he said it would happen in September or October. He has now claimed that it will happen in November.
His 96-hour long broadcast will coincide with his filing of a lawsuit that he claims will “pull down” the 2020 election in the Supreme Court as it would be so compelling.
The show will begin from midnight of the Wednesday before Thanksgiving and run through midnight on Sunday. It will coincide with the Black Friday weekend, which is the biggest showing period for the holiday season. But the businessman has said that the show will not promote his MyPillow line of products.
Despite his claims, the teaser has not impressed many social media users.
“The interview will be a flop. It will be made fun of on national tv and every social media. Trump will blame Lindell for the awful questions/rambling/editing/energy of the thing and publicly throw one of his loudest allies under the bus,” a Twitter user predicted.
Another said: “Would these 53 seconds create a desire to watch in most people??? Awkward and boring…”
Mr Lindell had first announced his show last month while talking to right-wing host Steve Bannon.
“I cannot wait to drop this Supreme Court case the Tuesday at 9am before Thanksgiving and the whole world is going to be watching all this unfold over Thanksgiving,” he had said.
“And you’re going to be sitting around the table — this is very important to our country and the world — everyone can be sitting around the table and going, ‘Hey, what do you think of that? You think the Supreme Court is going to accept it and protect our country like they’re supposed to?’” he added.

Good point most modern cell phone and drone cameras are least 720 and typically 1920 in resolution.
My understanding was the FBI drone shoots in HD but a leaked video from that came out just a short while ago. I understood the FBI said they had "lost" that video but apparently it was given to the prosecutors... What they were "enhancing" in court was obviously from a low density version and they were trying to determine the position of Ritenhouse's hands and the gun. Should be clear in the HD version but that was not what was introduced into the trial.

A new POLITICO/Morning Consult poll shows just 44 percent of voters approve of Biden's job performance, and 46 percent say he's "mentally fit."
Voters have increasing doubts about the health and mental fitness of President Joe Biden, the oldest man ever sworn into the White House, according to a new POLITICO/Morning Consult poll.
Only 40 percent of voters surveyed agreed with the statement that Biden “is in good health,” while 50 percent disagreed. That 10-percentage-point gap — outside the poll’s margin of error — represents a massive 29-point shift since October 2020, when Morning Consult last surveyed the question and found voters believed Biden was in good health by a 19-point margin.
Asked whether Biden is mentally fit, voters are almost evenly split, with 46 percent saying he is and 48 percent disagreeing. But that negative 2-point margin stands in stark contrast to Biden’s numbers last October, when voters believed he was mentally fit by a 21-point margin.
The poll questions are part of a long battery of attributes about which voters were asked to rate Biden — the same battery employed multiple times during Donald Trump’s presidency, and asked about both candidates last fall, prior to the 2020 presidential election.
The new polling comes amid persistent questions about whether Biden — who turns 79 on Saturday — will run for reelection in three years and as Democrats have grown increasingly concerned with the party’s gerontocracy. The POLITICO/Morning Consult poll was conducted Nov. 13-15, surveying 1,998 registered voters. The margin of error is plus or minus 2 percentage points.
Republican pollster Neil Newhouse said Biden’s difficulties communicating clearly could be a contributing factor in keeping his approval ratings low.
“When you watch Biden, you get a sense that he’s just missing a beat, that he’s not what he once was,” Newhouse said. “Voters are picking up on it.”
Newhouse noted that Biden is losing support among the most loyal Democratic segment of the electorate: Black voters. Not only does polling show it, Newhouse said — so did a recent focus group of Black voters in a Southern state who were interviewed to discuss policy issues.

Trump wanted Pence to figure out, how he could get the house of representatives to determine the outcome of the electoral college votes.
It was a very difficult task because a lot of Republicans would not have gone along with the attempted coup.
