Democrats say that losses last night were white whiplash and other forms of white supremacy and racism....

I wonder if Hispanics or Latinos are now considered White racists.

This is actually quite an interesting cross tab result for this sort of race. Not only did Youngkin do surprisingly well with Latinos, but 13% of the black vote is nothing to sneeze at. That is actually slightly better than Trump did, and Trump did better than either Romney or McCain. But that Latino Hispanic result is a pretty solid omen for Republicans overall.

In fact, I cannot recall the last Republican candidate who just flat out won the hispanic vote. If that becomes a thing moving forward, then Democrats are going to find themselves losing all over the place. They cannot (of course) just rely on the overwhelming black vote and guilty white liberals to carry them to victory.

Despite decades of unprecedented prosperity, most of it under Democratic Presidents like Clinton and again Obama and access to false information, far too many Republican voters are among the most gullible people on earth.

They actually believe this

The Nazis mobilized the Brown Shirts to provoke street riots, property damage, and gratuitous violence in order to intimidate the populace and marginalize the opposition.  Their American counterparts have done the same with Antifa and Black Lives Matter. Both the Nazis and the American left fabricated or grossly exaggerated events, such as the Reichstag fire in 1933 or January 6, 2021, in order to turn the citizenry against their political opposition and justify an expansion of their political and police power.

Among the contemporary end-products of these Nazi-originated tactics is the political persecution and jailing without trial the January 6th defendants charged with simple misdemeanors and the ongoing premeditated abuse of government mandates to exploit the Covid-19 pandemic.  Both tactics are aimed at browbeating the citizenry into meekly accepting a quasi-police state.

In the furtherance of fascist economic policy of centralized planning and control with a veneer of capitalism, the American left and the Democrat party have become closely aligned with and supported by favored unions and major corporations in pharmaceuticals, banking, finance, social media, health care, and the media/entertainment complex.  All the while undermining new business creation and destroying existing small businesses as well as major corporations not in lockstep with the regime.

The purpose of the “Build Back Better Act” currently winding its way through Congress is to expand control of people’s lives by reshaping and permanently putting control of all aspects of the economy in the hands of politicians and bureaucrats.

The depth of the conspiracy theories is getting in every day Scott...

Guess what Roger....

Nobody here cares about the Jan 6th congressional investigation. The real investigators at the FBI have been through this with a fine tooth comb, and they concluded with 100% certainty that there was no planning of any coup by anyone, much less the President (who openly stated that he wanted a peaceful rally).

But I can understand why you are so upset right now and are lashing out with negative stories about Trump and conservatives. Lots of liberals are throwing similar tantrums today.

Why? Not because you lost an argument. But because your entire premise of your argument was just rejected. Like a Judge who throws out a case "with prejudice". It's done. over.

The days of wokeness, CRT, and the cancel culture are coming to a close because overwhelmingly people are rejecting as a matter of realistic and undeniable fact to anyone with their eyes open.

Remember when birthers were questioning if Obama was born in the United States and wondering whether he was Christian or Muslim?

Then came Donald Trump, the chief birther, who ratcheted up this fear appeal to obscene levels, positioning Mexicans as rapists and Muslims as people who hate America. He disparaged Black countries, demonized Black athletes and found some “very fine people” among the Nazis in Charlottesville.

So it’s no wonder Youngkin’s critical race theory lie worked. The parasite of white racial anxiety needed a new host, a fresher one.

You could argue that the Democrats made missteps in Virginia. Absolutely. But, to win, Democrats also needed to tamp down white people’s fears, which is like playing Whac-a-Mole.

Some of the very same people who voted against Donald Trump because they were exhausted and embarrassed by him turned eagerly to Youngkin because he represented some of the same ideals, but behind a front of congeniality.

Youngkin delivered fear with a smile.

I’ve read the entire Revolver News exposé about January 6, 2021, over the past several months, and what follows is the Reader’s Digest version of the dust-up that occurred at the Stop the Steel rally on that day, as reconstructed by Revolver News. (Links to the specific Revolver stories are provided at the end of this article.)

Long story short, J6 was an organized protest that was meant to be a peaceful but vociferous rejection of the stolen presidential election in 2020.

The investigative reporters from Revolver News have looked at all the data released by the federal government since the J6 protests at the Capitol, including the FBI’s website of the J6 Most Wanted List of “domestic terrorists” and the indictments against those J6 “terrorists.” That research found some very curious anomalies.

It appears that some key players in the organization and execution of the January 6 terrorist “Insurrection” may have been Deep-State operatives working for the FBI or various other US intelligence agencies that day. Among these men were Stewart Rhodes, who founded the patriot group Oath Keepers, and Ray Epps, president of the Arizona chapter.

It became more and more evident, as the Revolver reporters began to dig deeper, that the “Insurrection” seemed to be a bought and paid-for FBI operation, contrived to frame Donald Trump and his supporters for the violence the FBI was orchestrating. All this while the FBI quietly left the linchpins of their J6 operation, Oath Keepers Epps and Rhodes, free and unindicted. The FBI even went so far as to remove Epps’s photograph from the FBI’s January 6th Most Wanted List after the Revolver News exposé was posted.

Although to my mind, this FBI scheme had other broader objectives going forward. It seems the establishment intended to disparage, discredit, and besmirch the intended motivation of all the forces building in the United States against the New World Order’s plan for the Globalization of America and its Great Reset.

From Sustainable Development, Agenda 21, Free Trade, COVID-19 Mandates, Climate Change, Open Borders, CRT, the Green New Deal, the Technocracy, the Great Economic Reset, and Internet censorship; to fomenting racial animosity and division, defunding the police, and the abolition of our God-given Constitutional freedoms, as of today, all American liberties are up for grabs. Moreover, the global political elite mandates the acceptance and advocation of this power grab and their agenda, no questions asked.

Youngkin was Trumpier in the Republican primary in Virginia than in his general-election contest against McAuliffe, and that’s a strategy that will also be emulated. But he was Trumpy to the end.

Oh, sure, the suburban-dad duds and Main Street Republican demeanor amounted to an unflashy antonym to Trump’s style. But the culture wars? The portrait of school classrooms as racial re-education camps, school curriculums as commandments that white Americans apologize for themselves, school bathrooms as danger zones? Youngkin and his supporters trafficked in all of that, and it was Trumpy to a T.

Youngkin also declined to tangle with Trump and Trump’s most ardent supporters about the Big Lie, a decision that I think will become the determinant of whether Trump blesses or messes with a given Republican candidate. Youngkin stalled for months early this year to acknowledge the legitimacy of Biden’s election, said that “election integrity” was one of the issues most important to him and indulged conspiracy-minded voters’ fantasies that courts might restore Trump to the Oval Office.

There were echoes of that in Ciattarelli’s approach. As Matt Friedman recently noted in Politico, “Ciattarelli’s campaign was silent when asked by reporters if he believed Biden won the 2020 election well after it was clear that he had.” Mustn’t antagonize Trump or his fiercest supporters.

Evading Trump’s wrath and emulating parts of him without embracing the whole of him were fundamental goals of Youngkin’s and Ciattarelli’s campaigns and are the driving forces for many Republicans as they plot their political futures. The intensity of their desire to pacify Trump is perhaps best captured in comments that Mike Pence recently made about Jan. 6. That was the day when rioters called for him to be hanged for failing to invalidate Biden’s election, but he told Sean Hannity that journalists were making far too much of it in an effort to “demean the character and intentions of 74 million Americans who believed we could be strong again.” “Strong again” equals “great again” equals genuflection before Trump.

Don’t interpret Trump’s absence from Republicans’ campaigns with an absence from their calculations. Those campaigns are political palimpsests, the scrawl of Trump still discernible beneath the tidier writing that candidates have done over it. Don’t overlook the homage to Trump in DeSantis’s flamboyant us-versus-them, own-the-libs theatrics: offering cash bonuses to unvaccinated police officers who relocate to Florida from blue cities or states, challenging cruise lines’ insistence that passengers be vaccinated. Trump has educated Republicans, and one of the lessons is to be more like him. It’s just not necessarily wise to be seen handing the teacher an apple.

House Democrats Suddenly Agree on Passing Both Bills

November 4, 2021 at 6:55 am EDT By Taegan Goddard 14 Comments

Playbook: “For now, the GOP sweep in Virginia and Dems’ razor-thin victory in New Jersey seem to have done what months of negotiations on the Hill could not: force moderates and progressives into line on passing both bills.”

“There’s a sense among Dems that if they just stop the bickering and get something done, they might be able to reverse what looks to be a devastating trajectory for the party heading into the midterms. Underscoring this feeling, Congressional Progressive Caucus Chair Pramila Jayapal (D-WA) retweeted moderate leader Josh Gottheimer (D-N.J.) saying that the message from the election was ‘loud and clear’: Democrats need to pass both bills ASAP. Not a pairing we see every day.”

Unless someone else happens next election season, the Republicans will regain control over the house and Senate.

The Virginia election results show that history will follow the same path as in history.

Despite passing the BBB and infrastructure bill.

The Republicans are winning the culture war.

rrb said...

HEH:

There’s a remote—but increasingly less remote— possibility that Dems will wind up with neither of their two big spending bills: 1) the bipartisan “BIF” hard infrastructure (bridges, roads, etc.) bill and 2) the partisan Dem social spending laundry list, aka “Build Back Better” (BBB).

Why would that happen? Because Terry McAuliffe’s upset loss in Virginia could freak out vulnerable Dems, who then bail from the second, BBB bill — the way an Eric Cantor loss in Virginia freaked Congress out about “comprehensive immigration reform” and sank that legislation in 2014. But if BBB dies … well, since many progressives only support the bipartisan “hard” infrastructure bill if it’s twinned with BBB, it’s possible enough of them might vote against the bipartisan bill to sink it too. (It would only take 4 or 5, out of a “Progressive Caucus” of 94 members, to do that.) Biden’s agenda dies in a Tarantino gunfight.

Still an unlikely scenario, as it’s always been almost inconceivable that the Democrats would screw things up so badly they’d end up passing nothing. But this achievement is now within reach, and if it happens, it looks like there will be an obvious fall guy: Ron Klain, President Biden’s chief of staff.

Nearly 100 million U.S. workers will be required to get the COVID vaccine by Jan. 4, with some workers allowed to test weekly instead, under sweeping federal rules released Thursday by the Biden administration that identifies COVID-19 as an occupational hazard.

The regulations are aimed at health care workers and businesses with 100 or more employees, covering two-thirds of the nation’s workforce. Businesses that don’t comply could be fined $14,000 per infraction, and hospitals could lose access to Medicare and Medicaid dollars.

It’s part of President Joe Biden’s aggressive new plan to try quell a pandemic that’s overshadowed his presidency and hobbled the economy. At the same time, the Jan. 4 date is a nod to industry groups that insisted the administration wait until after the holidays to impose mandates in the midst of a worker shortage.

"This is good for the economy," a senior administration official told reporters late Wednesday on the rationale for the plan.

Health officials told the parents of two children in Texas that the kids were given adult doses of the coronavirus vaccine, one of the parents said.

Julian Gonzalez, the parent of a six-year-old child who got the Pfizer vaccine, told local news station CBSDFW that the family was at a City of Garland health department pop-up clinic on Sunday so the parents could get their vaccines, when nurses told them that the six-year-old child could also be vaccinated if the parents wanted.

He said that the parents were "were all for it" because of the "confidence" of the nurses, and because a Pfizer consent form that they were asked to sign also said the child was eligible.

They were with a neighboring family, and their seven-year-old son also got the vaccine, CBSDFW reported.

But Gonzalez said that the City of Garland Health Department called the two families on Monday and said that both children had been given adult doses - and that children were not yet supposed to get a coronavirus vaccine of any sort, CBSDFW reported.

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved the use of the Pfizer vaccine for children aged between 5 and 11 on Friday, two days before the two children in Texas were vaccinated.

Covid-19: Researcher blows the whistle on data integrity issues in Pfizer’s vaccine trial

In autumn 2020 Pfizer’s chairman and chief executive, Albert Bourla, released an open letter to the billions of people around the world who were investing their hopes in a safe and effective covid-19 vaccine to end the pandemic. “As I’ve said before, we are operating at the speed of science,” Bourla wrote, explaining to the public when they could expect a Pfizer vaccine to be authorised in the United States.1

But, for researchers who were testing Pfizer’s vaccine at several sites in Texas during that autumn, speed may have come at the cost of data integrity and patient safety. A regional director who was employed at the research organisation Ventavia Research Group has told The BMJ that the company falsified data, unblinded patients, employed inadequately trained vaccinators, and was slow to follow up on adverse events reported in Pfizer’s pivotal phase III trial. Staff who conducted quality control checks were overwhelmed by the volume of problems they were finding. After repeatedly notifying Ventavia of these problems, the regional director, Brook Jackson, emailed a complaint to the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Ventavia fired her later the same day. Jackson has provided The BMJ with dozens of internal company documents, photos, audio recordings, and emails.

WASHINGTON — Federal authorities on Thursday arrested an analyst who in 2016 gathered leads about possible links between Donald J. Trump and Russia for what turned out to be Democratic-funded opposition research, according to people familiar with the matter.

The arrest of the analyst, Igor Danchenko, is part of the special counsel inquiry led by John H. Durham, who was appointed by the Trump administration to scrutinize the Russia investigation for any wrongdoing, the people said.

Mr. Danchenko, was the primary researcher of the so-called Steele dossier, a compendium of rumors and unproven assertions suggesting that Mr. Trump and his 2016 campaign were compromised by and conspiring with Russian intelligence officials in Moscow’s covert operation to help him defeat Hillary Clinton.

The people familiar with the matter spoke on condition of anonymity because the indictment of Mr. Danchenko had yet to be unsealed. A spokesman for Mr. Durham did not respond to a request for comment.

a political and media firestorm when Buzzfeed published the materials in January 2017, shortly before Mr. Trump was sworn in.

But most of the important claims in the dossier — which was written by Mr. Danchenko’s employer, Christopher Steele, a former British intelligence agent — have not been proven, and some have been refuted. F.B.I. agents interviewed Mr. Danchenko in 2017 when they were seeking to run down the claims in the dossier.

The interview suggested that aspects of the dossier were misleading: Mr. Steele left unclear that much of the material was thirdhand information, and some of what Mr. Danchenko — who was born in Russia but lives in the United States — had relayed was more speculative than the dossier implied.

A 2019 investigation by the Justice Department’s inspector general sharply criticized the F.B.I. for continuing to cite material from the dossier after the bureau interviewed Mr. Danchenko without alerting judges that some of what he said had cast doubt on the contents of the dossier.

Are you really that fucking stupid?

Coldheartedtruth Teller said...

Mr. Danchenko said he did not know who Mr. Steele’s client was at the time and considered himself a nonpartisan analyst and researcher.

Mr. Durham has been known to be interested in Mr. Danchenko and the Steele dossier saga. In February, he used a subpoena to obtain old personnel files and other documents related to Mr. Danchenko from the Brookings Institution, where Mr. Danchenko had worked from 2005 until 2010.

The charges against Mr. Danchenko follow Mr. Durham’s indictment in September of a cybersecurity lawyer, Michael Sussmann, which accused him of lying to the F.B.I. about who he was working for when he brought concerns about possible Trump-Russia links to the bureau in September 2016.

Mr. Sussmann, who then also worked for Perkins Coie, was relaying concerns developed by data scientists about odd internet logs they said suggested the possibility of a covert communications channel between the Trump Organization and Alfa Bank, a Kremlin-linked financial institution. He has denied lying to the F.B.I. about who he was working for.

It's possible that it will find that the FBI was not working with the Russians as the President said.
