Prosecution ends it's closing!

Yesssereee...  Prosecutor Binger really did pick up a rifle and aim it at the crowd...

What did we learn from the Prosecution closing?
  • Everyone who testified is lying.
  • That a skateboard cannot be used as a weapon because some give it as a Xmas gift.
  • That Kyle Rittenhouse should have been a man and fought with his fists.
  • That the fuzzy picture proves provocation, but take our word for it because we didn't call the actual person who the gun was supposedly aimed at to confirm anything.
  • That there is no right handed or left handed guns (apparently everyone is an ambidextrous shooter).
  • That Rosenbaum and other rioters were "heroes".
  • That you lose your right to self defense if you bring a gun which is obviously untrue. Why would the judge allow it in the first place?
  • That Rittenhouse should have just "left his gun behind" when chased.
  • That he should have helped Rosenbaum instead of running away when everyone started yelling "shooter, get him".
Make no mistake, the prosecution paints a picture that basically damns Rittenhouse for simply being there with a rifle. At that point, apparently threats on your life, being chased down, being beaten with a skateboard, and having a gun pointed at you is no excuse for using your gun....

Even if the actual Wisconsin law states exactly that.

Reuters news

DEFENSE:

- Rittenhouse's attorney Mike Richards described Joseph Rosenbaum, one of the two people the teenager shot and killed, as a "bad man" and a "rioter." "This case is not a game, it's my client's life," Richards told jurors. "We don't play fast and loose with the facts pretending that Mr. Rosenbaum was Citizen A, No. 1 guy."

- Richards took aim at the strategy adopted by the prosecution in its closing statements. "When his case explodes in his face, now he comes out with provocation," Richards said of prosecutor Thomas Binger's argument that Rittenhouse provoked the events of that night by brandishing his weapon. "Provocation, I don't think so."

- "Kyle was a 17-year-old kid out there trying to help this community," Richards said. Seeking to bring back into focus the defense's argument that Rittenhouse was attacked and acted in self-defense, Richards said, "When my client shot Joseph Rosenbaum, he feared for his life. He feared because of the prior threats, the prior statements and the violent acts that had been witnessed by my client

- "It's a tough choice but the evidence only leads to one conclusion," Richards said as he concluded his speech. "That is that Kyle Rittenhouse's conduct on August 25 was privileged based upon the actions of Mr. Rosenbaum and others. There are no winners in this case but putting Kyle Rittenhouse down for something he was privileged to do will serve no legitimate purpose.

Nobody but you are saying the protesters were heroes...

The judge didn't let the defense say they were protester...

If I had a skateboard in my hands and I walked towards you you believe you have the right to kill me with an Ar15.

PROSECUTION:

- Binger, who is Kenosha County assistant district attorney, told the jury, "This is a case in which a 17-year-old teenager killed two unarmed men and severely wounded a third person with an AR-15. This isn't a situation where he was protecting his home or his family. He killed people after traveling here from Antioch, Illinois, and staying out after a citywide curfew."

- Binger argued that Rittenhouse provoked Rosenbaum, 36, by raising his rifle. "That is what provokes this entire incident," he told jurors. "If you are the one who is threatening others, you lose the right to self-defense."

- Binger argued that Rittenhouse lied when he said that night that Rosenbaum had pulled a gun, a statement that was captured on a video played for the court. "Joseph Rosenbaum didn't have a gun, the defendant knew he didn't have a gun," he said. "The defendant is lying to save his own skin instead of going and trying to help the person that he has just shot and killed."

- Binger called Rittenhouse a "fraud" for claiming that he was there as a medic to provide first-aid. "This AR-15 is completely incompatible with the role of a medic," he said, noting the rifle was loaded with full metal jacket bullets, which are designed to penetrate their target.. Military style....

- Binger showed the jury a graphic image of Gaige Grosskreutz with a large chunk of his right arm missing as a result of a bullet shot at close range by Rittenhouse. Grosskreutz survived the shooting. "When you fire an AR-15 at someone from close range, this is what it looks like," Binger said. "Let's not flinch away from this."

The picture was horrible it showed his forearm was ripped open and bleeding.

I think he will get convicted on one or two charges.

I don't think there was any political agenda for the prosecution.

I don't think that vigilantes should be allowed to enforce the law on our streets.

KENOSHA, Wis. (AP) — Kyle Rittenhouse provoked bloodshed on the streets of Kenosha by bringing a semi-automatic rifle to a protest and menacing others, and when the shooting stopped, he walked off like a “hero in a Western,” a prosecutor said in closing arguments Monday at Rittenhouse’s murder trial.

But Rittenhouse’s lawyer countered that the shooting started after the young man was ambushed by a “crazy person” that night and feared his gun was going to be wrested away and used to kill him. Defense attorney Mark Richards said Rittenhouse acted in self-defense.

After a full day of arguments, the jurors were told to return Tuesday morning for the start of deliberations in the case.

The Republicans want law enforcement look like Gunsmoke.

I have seen the videos and the pictures provided by the prosecution.

The rifle was strapped on his shoulder and the other person was not close enough to grab the gun from him

If I had a skateboard in my hands and I walked towards you you believe you have the right to kill me with an Ar15.

Yep. Especially if you were holding it in both hands like a baseball bat poised to hit me with it.

I'd empty my first magazine into your center mass, and then I'd empty my second into your face, just to make it tougher for Char-Lee to identify you at the morgue.

I don't think that vigilantes should be allowed to enforce the law on our streets.

Well alky, that should have been a consideration BEFORE you assholes went full-on "defund the police." You fucktards condone rioting, burning, murder and mayhem and then you're shocked to see citizens saying "well fuck THIS shit."

Like I've said before, left to the citizenry to enforce the law, a lot more crimes will carry the death penalty. This was one of those times.

The picture was horrible it showed his forearm was ripped open and bleeding.

It was his bicep. And it should've been his skull.

And ICYMI, he's a level of prosecutorial brilliance that can only be described as "alky stupid":

“…he was too cowardly to use his fists”,

and

"Everybody takes a beating now and then"

We could write up a post on just about every line that comes out of the prosecutors’ mouths during the Kyle Rittenhouse trial. As Dana Loesch has said, what’s really on trial here is self-defense. The prosecution is arguing that it’s not self-defense if you bring a gun. It’s also arguing that Rittenhouse was a coward who resorted to gunfire rather than use his fists:

https://twitchy.com/brettt-3136/2021/11/15/rittenhouse-prosecutor-argues-he-was-too-cowardly-to-use-his-fists-and-that-everybody-takes-a-beating-sometime/

So Kraus is such a piss poor prosecutor and all-around goddamned fool, he admitted there was a threat which undermined his whole case.

Like I've said for years around here - there's stupid, and then there's "alky stupid."

Oh, and the best part, when Binger sweeps the gallery with the AR, WITH HIS FINGER ON THE FUCKING TRIGGER.

Someone should've jumped that railing, grabbed the rifle, and beat him straight into the fucking ICU with it. Let that piece of shit re-learn how to walk and talk again for the next year.

The Prosecutor handling of the Rifle was hilarious, he never served, never has he taken a DNR NRA Gun Safety Course.

Alec Baldwin weapon handling school is proud of the Prosecutor.

Roger... the manner in which the judge provided the jury instruction made it clear that If Rittenhouse has a self defense claim, that that is it. Game over.

The skateboarder who literally physically attacked him. As in was already assaulting him (not coming at him) and the idiot who aimed his pistol at him are no-brainer. Those are almost sure acquittals.

The only hope the prosecution has is a possible hung jury on Rosenbaum if someone buys the nonsense that Rittenhouse only had the right to shoot once.

There are going to be jurists who aee not willing to convict a kid who was under attack under any circumstances.

I don't see the prosecutions case as strong enough to get a unanimous guilt verdict

The judge is never meant to be the center of news stories in a trial—and certainly not in a trial that has become a microcosm for American politics. The trial of Kyle Rittenhouse is winding down. Closing arguments will begin on Monday. And all around the nation, people are watching to see what the verdict will be. And the judge in charge of the trial, Bruce Schroeder, has managed to become a central figure in the reporting.

Judge Schroeder's remarks transcribed:

This is about our constitution. A thousand years ago, a case like this would have been tried. Well, let's go back even further. Let's go back to the—I'm sure you remember it. The fall of Rome in 476 and when Rome fell the world changed dramatically. And the ancient law which had developed from Greece and Rome which involved jury trials—not the kind of juries we have today but they were the resolution of legal disputes by the use of reason—that fell with Rome. And some very primitive methods came into use to decide legal disputes including criminal cases. Sometimes I—I saw somebody at one of my grandkids games a month or so ago and he was wearing a shirt that said demand trial by ordeal. No, demand trial by combat. And I thought what an unusual shirt. But because I talk about this once in a while I thought it was kind of interesting. I guess it turns out that there's a program on television that deals with that does anybody familiar with that? Well there's some program on TV that has dealt with the concept of trial by combat and I think there may be a movie coming out about that. Actually it was true a thousand years ago, that people who were having with a legal dispute including in criminal cases could either themselves or hire someone to fight for them and they'd fight with the other side physically and there'd be an ecclesiastical blessing, a priest would bless it and it was decided that God would guide the hand of the innocent and that the innocent person would win that fight and that would be the outcome of the case. They also had something called trial by ordeal. And the concept was that a person would be made to walk across for example a bed of coals, burning coals, or stick her hand or his hand into a boiling water, and depending on the healing period, if the person recovered sufficiently and this was blessed you know as so it would be a message from God, that was determined if he didn't come out too badly he was innocent. If he did his punishments had just begun. So that's how they actually decided cases. And then in 1215 Pope Innocent III prohibited priests from participating in these ceremonies. So um they had to turn to some other way to determine these issues and they moved back to the jury system and the initial juries were actually made up of people who knew the people involved. People who had either been witnesses who saw what happened or people who were acquainted with the people and knew whether they were honorable people whether they were violent people, whatever the case may be. They had some knowledge of the people and they'd get together and they'd talk it over and they'd come up with a verdict. Well what's the number one problem that you would see with a system like that? Bias.

In many trials, it’s not unusual for both sides to get combative, but Richards leaned in hard on Binger. At one point, Richards suggested that Binger has acted like a “whiny defense lawyer.”

“Ladies and gentlemen, you sat through almost ten days of testimony,” Richards said. “You’ve heard the openings, most of the closings, and I have yet to hear Mr. Binger explain why Joseph Rosenbaum had the right to chase my client. To me, if I didn’t know better, I would think he’s a whiny defense lawyer. ‘Everybody’s out to get me. Everybody’s lying. I’m the one who is bringing forth the truth.’ Ladies and gentlemen, the videos show the truth. The videos show the actions of Joseph Rosenbaum.”

The attorney also maintained that Binger misrepresented the forensic evidence. Rosenbaum was shot in the back, but he was on a horizontal plane, consistent with lunging, Richards said.

Richards said that Rittenhouse shooting Huber and Grosskreutz was also done in self-defense under the circumstances. Binger maintained in his closing argument that the people in the crowd — after the Rosenbaum shooting — had every right to protect themselves, believing Rittenhouse to be an “active shooter.” Richards said this was a loaded term and even a “buzzword.”

Rittenhouse ran for two blocks without shooting or pointing the gun at anyone, the defense lawyer said. Someone holding a rock in hand hit Rittenhouse in the head, the attorney said. Huber hit Rittenhouse in the head with a skateboard, and an unknown man described in court as “Jump Kick Man” kicked Rittenhouse in the face. Huber came in with a second attack to try to “take his head off,” and also to grab Rittenhouse’s gun, Richards said. Even Grosskreutz testified about being concerned about the blows Huber and “Jump Kick Man” inflicted on Rittenhouse, he said.

“My client does not have to take a beating from the hands of this mob, or the hands of Mr. Rosenbaum,” Richards said.

For the most part, however, Richards also told jurors that Grosskreutz was not a reliable witness. He said that Grosskreutz, an armed man who sustained a gunshot wound to the bicep, lied to authorities after the shootings, and conveniently omitted details that made him look bad. The attorney also suggested that Grosskreutz lied to benefit his lawsuit over the incident.

“Grosskreutz, the person with 10 million reasons to lie,” Richards said.

The attorney argued that the self-defense stance carried over from the Rosenbaum shooting to the charge of first-degree recklessly endangering safety regarding nearby Richard McGinnis, a video editor for the conservative outlet The Daily Caller. McGinnis, Richards said, ran into danger with a phone in his hand. Rittenhouse is not responsible for that, he said.

Not only are members betraying their constituents, but they are actively hurting their ideology with the promotion of fiscal responsibility that even progressives question. It is time to take a long, hard look at congressional members who do not represent the party adequately.

We have already seen former President Donald Trump's strategy toward 2022 advocating for loyalty and purism.

Trump is already supporting primaries for incumbent representatives who voted for his second impeachment and is calling for more and more as GOP House and Senate members make questionable votes.

He promotes primary opponents such as Joe Kent, who has shot up in polls over incumbent Washington-03 Congresswoman Jaime Herrera Beutler. Kent's surge is evident to how sick Republican voters are of congressional establishment members voting in directions that do not represent their views.

The rest of the GOP needs to take notice. The same situation has happened in Alaska, where long-time Senator Lisa Murkowski is barely polling above 25% as she takes on a Trump-backed primary challenge from Kelly Tshibaka.

Whether it is from a lack of loyalty and party principle or simply voting for Democratic policy as a Republican in name only, purism is not bad for the party moving forward.

Republicans need to know the states and districts where better options exist to represent the voter base and back those candidates.

The GOP does not need Democrats in sheep's clothing serving in Washington or anywhere else.

Murkowski has been out of touch with her Alaska constituents for a long time. Managing get re-elected on the strength of her political family ties.

She also not all that popular with her GOP colleagues in the senate. She is the most liberal (and thus a real pain in the ass for McConnell) Republican in the senate.

If she was replaced in the senate with a Trump Republican no one would shed a tear.

No alky. My views are completely centered in my God-given right to self defense.

Piece O' Shit Junkie Floyd is not part of that equation. He was a violent criminal and felon whose finest contribution to society was his very last breath and the moment his brain function ceased for good.

The fact that your team desperately needed to make him a political martyr is of no consequence to me. That was a political calculation you guys made, and it's foundation was always pure bullshit. So don't project that nonsense on us.

True, yet that realization may have come too late. Conservatives that I know are leaving the GOP in DROVES.

No true conservative wants to be associated with a pack of fucking traitorous turncoats.

The GOP is now the party of Murkowski, Cheney, Kinzinger, Pierre Defecto and all the scum that voted in favor of Bankrupt Brandon's "Infrastructure" (LOL) bill.

There no doubt the country has infrastructure needs that need to be address but you have to be smart about it.

First you appoint a commission of engineers, construction manages, and estimators to identify and prioritize project, estimate the cost and then you provide the funds.

But Congress never does anything smart.

Leftist idiocy and psychological projection never takes a day off. And neither does their endless desire to promote false narratives.

There was actually some fuckwit on twitter - I'll need to find the tweet - who advocated for employers to give their black employees a couple days off from work when the verdict is reached. Seeing as how everyone involved in this circus is as white as a mayonnaise sandwich on white bread in a Minnesota snowstorm, I'm not exactly clear on his point. But the racism oozing from the left never sleeps.

The irony over the whole "infrastructure" (LOL) bill is that massive projects like the Interstate Highway System or Hoover Dam could NEVER be built today.

A legion of leftist enviro-nazi lawyers would be there to stop those project "in their tracks" much like Brandon promised and failed to deliver on Covid.

Texas Rep Switches Parties as GOP Makes Border Inroads
Governor joins House Speaker in Floresville as Rep. Guillen announces switch to GOP

A longtime Democratic lawmaker from South Texas switched parties Monday, giving Republicans another boost in their aggressive attempts to make inroads with voters along the U.S.-Mexico border.

State Rep. Ryan Guillen has been one of the most conservative Democrats in the Texas House of Representatives since 2002.

His switch to the GOP comes after his rural border district was redrawn to heavily favor Republicans under new maps signed in October by Republican Gov. Greg Abbott.

Guillen said his values no longer aligned with Democrats, who criticized him for switching rather than staying in the party and fighting for his seat.

"Throughout my entire career, creating a prosperous business climate, defending the second amendment, and protecting the lives of the unborn are the cornerstones of how I have represented my district," Guillen said. "After much consideration and prayer with my family, I feel that my fiscally conservative, pro-business, and pro-life values are no longer in step with the Democratic Party of today, and I am proudly running as a Republican to represent House District 31."
