Or would he never even have faced trial, because he would have been killed by police on that fateful night in Kenosha when he was attacked by Antifa thugs? Many people are claiming that his acquittal proves that there is a double standard in the American justice system. Once again, however, reality differs from the Leftist narrative: on the same day that Kyle Rittenhouse was acquitted, a black man named Andrew Coffee IV was also acquitted of murder charges on the grounds of self-defense.
After Rittenhouse was acquitted Friday, the Leftist line quickly coalesced into claims that the verdict showed the power of white supremacy in the United States, even though everyone involved in the Rittenhouse case was white. NASCAR driver Bubba Wallace, who was widely reported as being the victim of a hate crime last year when a noose was discovered in his garage (the FBI determined that it was a garage-door puller), tweeted: “Ha, let the boy be black and it would’ve been life…hell he would’ve had his life taken before the bullshit trial.. sad.” Ohio congressional candidate Nina Turner agreed: “If Kyle Rittenhouse were Black, he would’ve been killed for holding that weapon. What’s a justice system without justice?!?!” Keith Boykin, author of Race Against Time: The Politics of a Darkening America, added: “I knew it. Kyle Rittenhouse is proof that white people can still break the law, carry illegal weapons, shoot and kill people, and get away with it in America by shedding tears and claiming self-defense.” Fox News’ featured Leftist Juan Williams had the same point of view: “If this had been a black teenager who had done this, wow, I think the laws might have treated him a little differently.”
White actress Sophia Bush was also enraged: “The miscarriage of justice today is enraging. This is white supremacy in action. This is hideous. He murdered people, bragged about it while throwing white power signs in a bar, and then manufactured tears to claim that despite his AR-15 HE was in danger. And he got off. Unreal.” Creepy storyteller Stephen King asked: “So…the white guy goes free. Is that the message?”

If the Left’s version of reality remotely corresponded to the real thing, Andrew Coffee IV would not have been acquitted, simply because he is black. In fact, he would likely have been killed by Indian River County Sheriff’s deputies during the drug raid in which Woods was killed. His acquittal is proof that the paranoid race-baiting fantasies of Bubba Wallace, Stephen King and the rest are not just false, but are irresponsible and incendiary attempts to make a volatile situation even more explosive. If the Left riots over the Rittenhouse verdict and innocent people are killed, the blood will be on the hands of those who are claiming that the verdict in the Rittenhouse case represents a great injustice. But as usual, they will not be called to account. They enjoy the real privilege in America today: Leftist privilege.

The lawyers from the prosecutor's office conducted an amazingly shoddy case, lying about the evidence and the law, ignoring court orders, violating Kyle's constitutional rights, aiming a weapon at the jurors, and generally seeming to want a mistrial. The district attorney should never have filed the case (opening the way for a malicious prosecution action), and his assistants were either passively trying to get rid of the case because they knew that Kyle was innocent or were filled with so much hubris that they figured they could get away with a prosecution tantamount to murder.
The worst thing they did was argue that anyone who carries a gun is asking to be attacked, denying him a claim of self-defense. In other words, the prosecution vitiated the Second Amendment.
Meanwhile, playing out in the public eye were the media and the Democrat political class. Although those involved in the case were White, Democrats insisted that the case represented the triumph of White supremacy over beleaguered Blackness. After the verdict, the shrieks about racism escalated. The media and the political class also parroted the prosecution's argument about guns being an inherent provocation and are using this as a springboard to demand gun control.
Beginning with Obama's election, the media have been force-feeding America on the White supremacist narrative, which is being taught in America's schools under the labels of Critical Race Theory; "honest" history; or "diversity, equity, and inclusion." No matter the name, the goal is the same: to drive Americans apart and disarm law-abiding citizens.
What the leftists are aiming for is identical to Charles Manson's helter-skelter plan: drive the nation to a bloody race war and, from the ashes of that war, rebuild society with themselves as undisputed
So the good news is that Kyle was acquitted. It's to be hoped that he sues every single media outlet and personality, and every Democrat politician, who accused him of being a White supremacist murderer. The bad news is that the race-hustlers are using the acquittal to double down on their claims that America is systemically racist; that all Whites are evil, potential killers; and that the answer is for the government to seize Americans' guns.
They have a plan to make it illegal carry a gun across state borders.
