The most recent attempts is to site "polling" that suggests that upwards of 90% of Democrats have been vaccinated while only 60% of Republicans have been vaccinated. Obviously polling is polling is polling is polling and pretty much all polling has become suspect. But in this case, the poll itself defies the "actual" number of people who have been "actually" known to be vaccinated according to the CDC and others.
So this is where the math gets tricky. According to the official tracking of medical records, only 62% of all of Americans are fully vaccinated and only about 71% are even partially vaccinated. That begs the question here folks. If upwards of 90 percent of Democrats have been vaccinated and 60% of Republicans have been vaccinated and we can assume that Independents are somewhere in between then we should be looking at no less than 75% of Americans overall being officially vaccinated. Given the raw number of Democrats is larger than the raw number of Republicans, the percentage should probably be closer to 80%.
So obviously either the official tracking numbers are wrong or the polling is wrong or there are a bunch of Democrats out there getting a blackmarket unreported underground vaccine for some reason. If I was a betting man I would bet the entire mortgage that the polling is wrong. I would also argue that I know of no Republican out there who would lie to a pollster and say he or she is vaccinated if they were not. But I guarantee you that an unvaccinated liberal would certainly tell someone the opposite. Liberals wear the idea of vaccinations like a badge of honor and they believe there is shame of some sort for being unvaccinated.
Medical records do not track Party affiliation. But they do track things like age, race, and other objective non-political factors. Those numbers have remained consistent. More older Americans are vaccinated than younger voters. Of all the races, blacks have the lowest vaccination rate. People with higher incomes are more likely than people with low incomes to be vaccinated. Those numbers come from the medical records, not from polling. They also appear to be inconsistent with the recent polling suggesting this is a "partisan" issue.
Btw... if one of those pollsters called me. I would probably tell them I was a Democrat and had no interest in getting vaccinated, when the fact is that I am not a Democrat and I am already vaccinated. Why the fuck should I be honest with pollsters anymore?

The first time I heard “Omicron” I thought it was a new Transformer villain. Before you laugh, I have a sneaking suspicion that COVID variants are named with an eye to creating alarm. Delta Force is a Special Forces unit involved in counter-terrorism, rescuing hostages, and reconnaissance missions against high-value targets. Delta Force is scary by design. The name Delta seems a good fit for a COVID variant that our government hopes to scare us with so they can exercise control over our lives.
I thought Omicron was a new Deception bent on destroying the human race. Considering that the powers-that-be want to frighten us into submission, maybe my first impression of the name is not that far off. Omicron’s most severe symptom seems to be a scratchy throat, but the president is broadcasting doom and gloom and a winter of death. California has responded enthusiastically by bringing back mask mandates, even though there is still no scientific data to support masks. It’s as if the government wants to convince us that Omicron really is something that is bent on destroying the human race, although I doubt a scratchy throat is going to kill anyone off.
I went shopping today for the first time since the new mandate took effect. As I entered the store, an employee waved a handful of masks and asked if I would like one. I said no, I would not.
She responded that most people are happy to put on a mask because they want to avoid infection. I told her that I believe in the vaccine, that it is safe and effective and will prevent illness, and just like that, she backed off like a vampire confronted with garlic.
It was the perfect comeback, scientific, logical, and irrefutable, especially to anyone who does not exercise critical thinking. I recommend it to one and all for a happy holiday season.

Recently disclosed emails show how political hack Anthony Fauci was enlisted to bully scientific voices on the coronavirus into silence:
New emails released by a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request revealed that last year, outgoing National Institutes of Health Dir. Dr. Francis Collins instructed Dr. Anthony Fauci to carry out a “quick and devastating” takedown of The Great Barrington Declaration, a document authored by experts who advocated for herd immunity to stop the pandemic, and “focused protection” for the most vulnerable populations over universal lockdowns.
With hindsight, the tens of thousands of medical professionals who signed the Great Barrington Declaration were plainly right, and Fauci and Collins were wrong.
In an email to Fauci dated Oct. 8, 2020, Collins vilified the Great Barrington Declaration as the work of “three fringe epidemiologists” that “seems to be getting a lot of attention.”
“There needs to be a quick and devastating published takedown of its premises,” Collins told Fauci. “I don’t see anything like that online yet – is it underway?”

According to the declaration, “Current lockdown policies are producing devastating effects on short and long-term public health” that will lead to “greater excess mortality in years to come, with the working class and younger members of society carrying the heaviest burden. Keeping students out of school is a grave injustice.”
“Keeping these measures in place until a vaccine is available will cause irreparable damage, with the underprivileged disproportionately harmed,” states the declaration.
“As immunity builds in the population, the risk of infection to all – including the vulnerable – falls,” the declaration continues. “We know that all populations will eventually reach herd immunity … Our goal should therefore be to minimize mortality and social harm until we reach herd immunity.”
The Declaration represented common sense, unlike the unscientific hysteria that Anthony Fauci and Joe Biden, among others, chose to promote. Thus, it and its authors had to be destroyed. Within a week after getting the email from Collins, Fauci denounced a caricatured version of the Barrington Declaration as “nonsense” and “dangerous.”
The original authors of the Declaration were Jay Bhattacharya of Stanford, Sunetra Gupta of Oxford and Martin Kulldorff of Harvard. Dr. Bhattacharya tweeted in response to the FOIA revelations:

Dr. Francis Collins, whose last day as NIH director is Sunday, told CBS News that he got a "talking to" by Trump, but that he held his ground and would have resigned if Trump made him endorse remedies for Covid-19 that were not based in science.
"I have done everything I can to stay out of any kind of political, partisan debates because it is really not a place where medical research belongs," he said. "I was not going to compromise scientific principles to just hold onto the job."
Trump frequently touted hydroxychloroquine as a potential Covid-19 cure, and he claimed while in office to have used it himself even as medical experts and the US Food and Drug Administration questioned its efficacy and warned of potentially harmful side effects. In June 2020, the FDA revoked its emergency use authorization for both hydroxychloroquine and chloroquine for the treatment of Covid-19, saying it determined the drugs were unlikely to be effective in treating Covid-19 based on the latest scientific evidence.
CNN has reached out to the office of the former President for comment on Collins' interview.
Collins also said he fought back calls from Republicans for him to fire Fauci, the nation's top infectious disease expert who now serves as President Joe Biden's chief medical adviser.

We’ve replaced science with Fauci’s changing opinions. Where was the science behind no masks, then multiple masks and 6 feet distance between individuals? It should be a matter of grave concern that in the last 12 months there were more reports of vaccine-related deaths than in the previous 29 years combined.
In light of this, how can anybody in their right mind claim that these vaccines are “perfectly safe”?
In the past, vaccines used to be recalled if a few dozen deaths were shown to have been caused directly by the vaccine.
In the UK alone 73 deaths have already been linked directly to vaccine produced clots. This, however, is a gross understatement of reality as most vaccine deaths are not reported as such and fewer still are properly investigated. The 73 figure only represents the uppermost tip of the iceberg.
The question is why these vaccines are still being mass administered given what we know of the dangers they pose.
Even more astonishingly, why are we vaccinating children given that the risk to healthy children of severe Covid is virtually zero.
A large German study has recently found that in the first 15 months of the pandemic, not one healthy child in the 5-18 demographic died of Covid.
Even before the German study came out, the New York Times observed that for children “the danger of severe Covid is so low as to be difficult to quantify.”
Why, then, are we exposing children to the risk of blood clots and other serious conditions – such myocarditis and pericarditis – given that they are at negligible peril of serious Covid?
Vaccinating children becomes even more nonsensical, since we now know that the vaccines do not protect against infection.
What we are doing to our children by injecting them with these unsafe substances is simply unconscionable.

A booster shot of the Moderna coronavirus vaccine significantly raises the level of antibodies that can thwart the Omicron variant, the company announced on Monday.
The news arrives as Omicron rapidly advances across the world, and most coronavirus vaccines seem unable to stave off infection from the highly contagious variant.
Moderna’s results show that the currently authorized booster dose of 50 micrograms — half the dose given for primary immunization — increased the level of antibodies by roughly 37-fold, the company said. A full dose of 100 micrograms was even more powerful, raising antibody levels about 83-fold compared with pre-boost levels, Moderna said.
Both doses produced side effects comparable to those seen after the two-dose primary series. But the dose of 100 micrograms showed slightly more frequent adverse reactions relative to the authorized 50-microgram dose.
The results are based on laboratory tests that do not capture the full range of the body’s immune response against the virus. Although vaccines may not prevent infection from the variant, they are expected to prevent severe illness in the vast majority of people.
The data have also not been published or reviewed by independent experts. Moderna said it was preparing a manuscript with the data that would be posted online.
The pharmaceutical companies Pfizer and BioNTech announced earlier this month that a booster shot of their vaccine also increased the level of antibodies against Omicron.
Moderna tested a third shot of several versions of its vaccine, each in 20 people. Before boosting, all the individuals had low levels of antibodies that can prevent Omicron infection. At Day 29, after receiving a third shot, the 50-microgram and 100-microgram doses of the current vaccine both sharply increased antibody levels.
The company also tested “multivalent” booster shots that incorporate mutations seen in the Beta and Delta variants, many of which are also present in Omicron. Those continuing trials each have 300 to 600 people enrolled in them. The 50-microgram and 100-microgram doses of the multivalent boosters increased antibody levels to similarly high levels, Moderna said.
Given how quickly Omicron is marching through the world, Moderna said, the company will focus its near-term efforts on extra shots of the original vaccine. It also plans to test a booster shot that is specific to the Omicron variant early next year and to include Omicron in a multivalent booster.
“To respond to this highly transmissible variant, Moderna will continue to rapidly advance an Omicron-specific booster candidate into clinical testing in case it becomes necessary in the future,” said Stéphane Bancel, Moderna’s chief executive officer.

The data, which has not yet been peer reviewed, tested blood from people who had received the vaccine against a pseudovirus engineered to resemble the Omicron variant. It is similar to data discussed last by top U.S. infectious disease expert Anthony Fauci.
Burton said it would be up to governments and regulators to gauge whether they want the enhanced level of protection that a 100 microgram dose might confer.
The company said that the 100 microgram dose was generally safe and well tolerated, although there was a trend toward slightly more frequent adverse reactions.
Moderna also tested the vaccine's effectiveness compared to its prototype boosters that target multiple previous variants of concern, and said the results were similar.
U.S. regulators authorized the 50 microgram booster of Moderna's vaccine in October. The first two shots of Moderna's vaccine are both 100 micrograms.
Both the Moderna and the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccines have been linked to rare cases of heart inflammation, particularly in young men. Several studies have suggested that Moderna's vaccine is likely to cause the heart inflammation at a higher rate.
Omicron, a highly contagious variant first detected last month in southern Africa and Hong Kong, has raced around the globe and been reported in 89 countries, the World Health Organization said on Saturday.
It said the number of Omicron cases is doubling in 1.5 to 3 days in areas with community transmission, but noted that much remains unknown about the variant, including the severity of the illness it causes.

That could be the motivation behind Manchin’s abrupt announcement to tank President Biden’s Build Back Better bill yesterday.
After all, Manchin only gave the White House a 30-minute heads up before his statement and then refused to take phone call from Biden aides. The White House was clearly blindsided by Manchin and it seemed intentional.
It’s not hard to see an opening for an independent candidate in 2024 if an increasingly unpopular Joe Biden runs for re-election at age 82 against an already unpopular Donald Trump who will be 79.
People close to Manchin are already suggesting he might leave the Democratic party and become an independent, though they say he would still caucus with Senate Democrats.

The apparent failure of President Joe Biden’s “Build Back Better” plan means that economic growth could be weaker than expected next year, according to Goldman Sachs.
The plan hit a significant road block on Sunday when West Virginia Sen. Joe Manchin said he would not support the legislation, meaning that the bill does not have enough votes to pass the Senate.
Goldman Sachs Chief Economist Jan Hatzius said in a note to clients on Sunday that the failure of the bill — which includes significant spending on climate infrastructure and social programs — would slow economic growth in 2022.
“BBB enactment had already looked like a close call and in light of Manchin’s comments we are adjusting our forecast to remove the assumption that BBB will become law. While BBB in its current form looks unlikely, there is still a good chance that Congress enacts a much smaller set of fiscal proposals dealing with manufacturing incentives and supply chain issues,” the note said.
