A hypothetical for you liberals out there...

Two scenarios

  • Imagine proud boys and other right wing violent protesters surrounded the White House, setting fire to things, attempting to break through the barriers. The rioters were quite literally demanding that the President be "lynched".  Biden is forced to be taken to a secure location for his own safety. In the process of this riot, Molotov cocktails and other items were tossed at the secret service. Entire vehicles are set on fire as are many local buildings. Millions in damages occur and dozens of secret service and other officers are injured during the riot...
  • Now imagine Donald Trump is still in the White House and violent Antifa protesters surrounded the White House, setting fire to things, attempting to break through the barriers. The rioters were quite literally demanding that the President be "lynched". Trump is forced to be taken to a secure location for his own safety.  In the process of this riot, Molotov cocktails and other items were tossed at the secret service. Entire vehicles are set on fire as are many local buildings. Millions in damages occur and dozens of secret service and other officers are injured during the riot...
Now what should hypothetically be done here? Should these violent protesters be treated like the Capital rioters? Hunted down like dogs, taken from their homes, put in jail without bail, and without trial dates? Or should they be treated like a normal Antifa rioter who is arrested. Let go without bail and no charges?

Or are there any liberals out there honest enough to say that if it was right wing rioters that they should be punished to the fullest extent of the law because you have to protect poor old Biden. But the Antifa protesters should be let go because Donald Trump had it coming?

Just curious...

You claim to be analytical but
. If Biden and Fauci are correct in who is catching the virus, then we probably only have a few million people left who are unvaccinated and would not have natural immunity. At worst we will see almost nobody dying since almost none of the vaccinated Americans will even become hospitalized (according to media sources), leaving only a paltry 10 million or so left out there unprotected by neither a vaccine or natural immunity.

So at the current pace of new infections and hospitalizations, it should be no more than a matter of a few weeks (if not a few days) before all of the low hanging fruit of unvaccinated Americans gets infected (either killing them) or providing themselves with the natural immunity (which is statistically as strong if not stronger than the vaccine).

An irrational garbage.

Either way... I suspect that a C+ student with an average SAT score would not understand the math here. Generally when someone is over someone's head, they lash out with anger and call people names.

Otherwise, had you been say a A- student with a high SAT score, then you would have actually looked at the data, made your statistical arguments, challenge me on fact, and provide your own alternate analysis.

But you just repeated what I stated, then put together a single statement that was grammatically incorrect and made almost no sense. Typical C+ average student stuff.

Moreover, because you are not really quite smart enough to get what I was saying... I will give you a hint. It's all sort of tongue in cheek. It is math that starts with the premise that Biden's and Fauci's repeated claims that this is entirely a "pandemic of the unvaccinated" is true.

But we know it's not true, because if it was... then we really would be almost at the end of the ordeal here. But we have a long ways to go because even as things move forward, people who have been vaccinated are getting it everyday (look at AOC) and pretty much every state department of health website is still showing a significant portion of hospitalizations are from people who are full vaccinated.

Yet today, very few rational Republican deny that all the dust of the Dixiecrat movement has left this nation. The battles over the Confederate battle flag and Civil War monuments and again the big lie, are reminders of a racist past that the Dixiecrats fervently defended.

Lyndon Johnson defeated them with support from the former Reagan and even the
Bush Republican party.

You are using the same rhetoric during the civil rights act era, who called out demonstrations that turned violent in a few places.

An attempt to get Trump elected by attacking a Capitol building is a lot more dangerous than graffiti on government buildings in Wisconsin or elsewhere.

C.H. Truth said...

So Roger...

If you are (like me) fully vaccinated, then why doesn't this concern you? Your heroes are telling you that if you have gotten the jabs, then you are safe, when in reality you and I are not safe. We can still catch covid and we can still end up in the hospital and we can still die.

Moreover... if I ask the top doctors in the land (supposedly) what we can do to prevent any of this, they just blame other people who have not had taken the vaccine.

Logically and medically... that does NOT affect me at all. I can still catch the virus from someone who is vaccinated, in fact for Omicron it appears more likely I will catch it. While it supposedly makes me less vulnerable to hospitalization or death, I have seen no actual data to support that.

So I am told... that's it. Nothing else to do. I have done it all by getting the shots in the arm. Now I act on faith. Meanwhile we are seeing treatments cropping up all over the world that appear to be working well, but our FDA refuses to approve. There are probably a half dozen treatments out there that I could get if I lived in another country that I will have either issues finding an doctor to give them to me, or in some cases they cannot because our FDA won't allow it.

So it's one thing if they are telling us the god honest truth and there is nothing for us to worry about as totally vaccinated and even boostered people. But that doesn't appear to be the case. So if you are fully vaccinated... well then that's the extent of what we can do about it.

Doesn't that bother you in the least? From a personal health situation? To know you are not getting the same care as another person is in another part of the world? Moreover, it seems to not be a medical decision at this point, but rather a political one.

Sen. Mike Rounds said on Sunday that the 2020 election result was "as fair as we've seen."
Rounds also said the "courts are the appropriate place" to determine whether Trump can run again.
Former President Donald Trump is vowing to never again endorse Sen. Mike Rounds after the South Dakota Republican called the 2020 presidential election "fair" in a Sunday appearance on ABC's "This Week."

"'Senator' Mike Rounds," Trump said in a statement, "just went woke on the Fraudulent Presidential Election of 2020." He criticized Rounds for saying the election was "ok—just fine" and baselessly claimed that there's "evidence to the contrary" in Wisconsin, Georgia, Arizona, Michigan, and Pennsylvania.

"Is he crazy or just stupid?" Trump said. "The only reason he did this is because he got my endorsement and easily won his state in 2020, so now he thinks he has time, and those are the only ones, the weak, who will break away. Even though his election will not be coming up for 5 years, I will never endorse this jerk again."

Trump went on to air grievances about "Democrat-run cities" and geopolitical conflicts around the world before concluding: "He is a weak and ineffective leader, and I hereby firmly pledge that he will never receive my Endorsement again."

As a necessary disclaimer, I am not offering medical advice, only commenting on the current state of COVID treatment. All such treatment decisions should be made in consultation with your health care provider.

Hydroxychloroquine and ivermectin, ith decades of use, overwhelmingly safe when prescribed appropriately, are two such drugs. Then there are a host of over-the-counter supplements, including quercetin, zinc, vitamin C, vitamin D, and melatonin. There are also nasal sprays, gargles, and sinus rinses with dilute hydrogen peroxide or povidone-iodine. Most recently there have been reports about off label Viagra and antidepressant fluvoxamine (Luvox) having potential benefit for COVID.

I won’t belabor the hysteria over hydroxy, as in Fox News’s Neil Cavuto telling his audience, “It will kill you” or ivermectin described by the FDA as horse paste, which by the same logic, means oats and corn are horse food, despite both being part of a normal human diet.

The Frontline COVID-19 Critical Care Alliance seems to be only one of a few medical organizations offering an early outpatient treatment and prevention protocol to keep people out of the hospital and morgue. Yet the writers of Time call these medical professionals “bogus”.

So where are the vaunted clinical trials of these potential therapeutics? It took two months of vaccine trials for approval yet now almost two years into this, where are the NIH sponsored trials of these cheap and safe therapeutics?

Fortunately, others have done such trials. A meta-analysis of 73 ivermectin trials demonstrated, “Using the most serious outcome shows 66% [53‑76%] and 83% [74‑89%] improvement for early treatment and prophylaxis.”

A similar meta-analysis of 369 hydroxychloroquine studies showed,

HCQ is not effective when used very late with high dosages over a long period, effectiveness improves with earlier usage and improved dosing. Early treatment consistently shows positive effects.

Note that early studies showing harm used dosages that were too high and too late to have benefit. But early treatment was consistently positive.

This is not to argue against vaccines any more than to argue that the Air Force is the only way to win a war, excluding the Army, Navy, and Marines. With a nasty virus like COVID, it should be an all-hands-on deck approach. Instead, we have vaccines to prevent, which are not preventing the current Omicron variant, and late-stage treatment of those already in the hospital.

The missing black hole is those millions of patients with early positive disease who are offered nothing but good luck wishes. These treatments are generally safe, and while not a cure, are effective for many, as the studies demonstrate. We should be throwing everything we can at this disease, yet we are not. Why is that?

Is it that there are no huge profits available for cheap off-label drugs, unlike for vaccines and the newly approved or EUA therapeutics? Is this incompetence or personal and corporate greed? Or is it mass formation psychosis as recently described by Dr Robert Malone, one of the mRNA vaccine innovators?

What we are doing is the same thing over and over again, expecting different results, when reality says otherwise. What’s that the definition of?

As America approaches 1 million COVID deaths, we should by now be throwing the kitchen sink at this virus – vaccines, monoclonal antibodies, antivirals, and the cheap off-label zinc ionophores and supplements, that each play a role in keeping Americans from getting sick and dying. It should not be an either/or option but a thoughtful use of everything available. Patients kept out of the hospital live, many of those entering the hospital are damaged or die.

Yet here we are, almost two years into this pandemic, with a dozen claims by President Biden to “shut down the virus” only to set new daily case records last week, with a gaping hole in this important phase of COVID management. How will history judge this omission?

Brian C Joondeph, MD, is a fully vaccinated physician and writer. On Twitter as @retinaldoctor

Well obviously the C+ student doesn't understand the difference between ivermectin that is prescribed to humans vs the dewormer with the same name given to horses.

Or perhaps he thinks others don't know the difference. But some of us were Dean's list in college and had SAT scores 400 points higher, so these sorts of nuances are not confusing for us.

Lot's of drugs are prescribed in different forms and different combinations for different reasons. I just found out that a prescription ointment that I have used in the past for eczema is also offered in a cream for by prescription for dogs who get hot-spots.

According to Roger's infinite wisdom, my dermatologist is some sort of idiot for prescribing to me "canine hot spot medication"... just as doctors who prescribe ivermectin to patients for human uses are apparently morons who are prescribing "horse dewormer".

On Dec. 29, The Gateway Pundit, a far-right website that often spreads conspiracy theories, published an article falsely implying that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention had withdrawn authorization of all P.C.R. tests for detecting Covid-19. The article collected 22,000 likes, comments and shares on Facebook and Twitter.

On TikTok and Instagram, videos of at-home Covid-19 tests displaying positive results after being soaked in drinking water and juice have gone viral in recent weeks, and were used to push the false narrative that coronavirus rapid tests don’t work. Some household liquids can make a test show a positive result, health experts say, but the tests remain accurate when used as directed. One TikTok video showing a home test that came out positive after being placed under running water was shared at least 140,000 times.

Identifying information has been redacted.
Identifying information has been redacted.
And on YouTube, a video titled “Rapid antigen tests debunked” was posted on Jan. 1 by the Canadian far-right website Rebel News. It generated over 40,000 views, and its comments section was a hotbed of misinformation. “The straight up purpose of this test is to keep the case #’s as high as possible to maintain fear & incentive for more restrictions,” said one comment with more than 200 likes. “And of course Profit.”

Misinformation about Covid-19 tests has spiked across social media in recent weeks, researchers say, as coronavirus cases have surged again worldwide because of the highly infectious Omicron variant.

The burst of misinformation threatens to further stymie public efforts to keep the health crisis under control. Previous spikes in pandemic-related falsehoods focused on the vaccines, masks and the severity of the virus. The falsehoods help undermine best practices for controlling the spread of the coronavirus, health experts say, noting that misinformation remains a key factor in vaccine hesitancy.

The categories include falsehoods that P.C.R. tests don’t work; that the counts for flu and Covid-19 cases have been combined; that P.C.R. tests are vaccines in disguise; and that at-home rapid tests have a predetermined result or are unreliable because different liquids can turn them positive.

These themes jumped into the thousands of mentions in the last three months of 2021, compared with just a few dozen in the same time period in 2020, according to Zignal Labs, which tracks mentions on social media, on cable television and in print and online outlets.

Should those rioters who were threatening to lynch a President be arrested, charged, held, let go, not charged? Does it matter who were rioting and which President was in the White House?

That is the comparison...

We all know that the riots that took place around the country (including those that involved Federal buildings) were not taken seriously, while people who did nothing more than peacefully walked into the Capitol building and then walked out without injuring anyone or destroying any property have been arrested, charged and some are even serving time...

What would we do about a violent group of rioters who attacked Secret Service, injured them, all in the name of lynching the President?

Probably because at a minimum, Trump fast-tracked a vaccine.

Biden on the other hand, lied about stopping Covid in it's tracks, ("I'm gonna shut down the virus!!!") and then tossed it back to the states telling us there is no federal solution.

Bottom line - Biden has done NOTHING to stop the virus as he promised. Nothing but LIE that is.

C.H. Truth said...

I don't believe to a large degree that you can simply decide this is a Trump vs Biden thing. From what Birx and Fauci have stated (and what we can tangibly see) the medical advice they gave ultimately was used... in spite of Birx's cry baby rants about how Trump was taking meetings with other doctors.

From what we can see under Biden, Fauci is leading him around by the nose. To whatever degree Biden is on his own is to demand that there is no fault in anything he has done... at all.

But at this point in the epidemic we have Biden as President for almost a full year now. Unlike the Trump era of Covid (which was largely pre-vaccine) we are now according to the CDC - adults (over the age of 18) have a 73% full vaccination rates with 85.6% of adults being partially vaccinated.

As someone who is TODAY part of the fully vaccinated crowd I am basically being told that this is it. Nothing more to do, at least until they decide that we will need a fourth, fifth, sixth or however more "boosters".

Moreover, they are trying to tell ME that I am safe from anything other than a mild infection, while I am watching people I know who are fully vaccinated struggling badly. We just brought food and supplies to a friend who is coughing up blood from Covid and has three jabs. He cannot make it out to even venture a few blocks to the closest drug and grocery store. He probably should be in a hospital, but won't go. We have another 'acquaintance" who is currently in a hospital. Fully vaccinated.

And the Administration and all of their talking heads are demanding that this stuff doesn't happen, because it is a "pandemic of the unvaccinated". Moreover they are rejecting treatments that other countries are using that in some case we are not even being given the benefit of the choice.

Al Capone

She's assembled a team of fewer than 10 people — lawyers, investigators and a legal assistant — who are focused primarily on this case and can consult outside lawyers with particular expertise in certain areas of law, she said.

“We’re going to just get the facts, get the law, be very methodical, very patient and, in some extent, unemotional about this quest for justice,” she said.

Willis declined to speak about the specifics, but she confirmed that the investigation's scope includes — but is not limited to — a Jan. 2, 2021, phone call between Trump and Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, a November 2020 phone call between U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham and Raffensperger, the abrupt resignation of the U.S. attorney in Atlanta on Jan. 4, 2021, and comments made during December 2020 Georgia legislative committee hearings on the election.

Willis is not alone in investigating attempts by Trump and his allies to overturn his 2020 election defeat. The U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee released a report in October based on a review of documents and interviews with former officials. And a U.S. House committee is preparing to release the findings of its investigation of the deadly riot at the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, which included conversations with election officials who were pressured by the former president. Attorney General Merrick Garland has said the Justice Department "will follow the facts wherever they lead.”

Willis' inquiry also is not the only state criminal investigation involving Trump. New York prosecutors have subpoenaed Trump and his two eldest children in their investigation of his business dealings.

A Trump spokesman dismissed the Fulton investigation as a politically motivated “witch hunt” when it became public last February, after Willis instructed Georgia’s top elected officials to preserve any records related to the general election, particularly any evidence of attempts to influence election officials. The probe includes “potential violations of Georgia law prohibiting the solicitation of election fraud, the making of false statements to state and local government bodies, conspiracy, racketeering, violation of oath of office and any involvement in violence or threats related to the election’s administration,” the letters said.

Even if the House committee decides to "recommend charges" and even if the Biden Administration wants to look petty and charge the presumed GOP nominee with a dubious charge...

Based on every court precedent regarding incitement the case would likely be thrown out by a judge... and even if they could find a judge willing to not throw it out... it would be overturned on appeal.

Every last bit of legal precedent regarding incitement based on speeches requires a person to provide very specific instructions (not rhetoric or innuendo) and they would have to be pretty certain that their specific instructions would be followed for it to be considered incitement.

In fact, the precedent suggests that the incitement must be immediate. The fact that the protesters actually marched to a completely different location would be enough (based on case precedent) to have any sort of conviction overturned.

There is no legitimate legal case against the President for incitement. There is only a political one designed to undermine Trump for 2024 because Biden and everyone else on the left is SCARED OUT OF THE FUCKING MIND THAT TRUMP WILL BE THE NOMINEE and be back in the White House.

That was a lie, apparently.

The other President states that he had a plan to stop covid, tells everyone if they vote for him, he will stop the virus. Then later tells the public that we could declare "independence" from the virus because it was all said and done in July. Now we see record cases and 430,000 people have died under his watch?

But that was just a mistake?

How about this Reverend...

When Biden says this is a pandemic of the unvaccinated... is my friend coughing up blood supposed to believe that is true? Or are you at least willing to admit that if a flat out disgusting lie?

The public focus of Congress’ Jan. 6 investigation, so far, is what happened in Washington, D.C. Behind the scenes, the probe’s state-level work is kicking into overdrive.

The House committee investigating the Capitol attack has gathered thousands of records from state officials and interviewed a slate of witnesses as it attempts to retrace former President Donald Trump's attempts to subvert the 2020 election, particularly in four key states that swung the presidency to Joe Biden. They're getting ready to take their work public, possibly as soon as the spring.

“We want to let the public see and hear from those individuals who conducted elections in those states,” select panel chair Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-Miss.) said in an interview. He described those witnesses as particularly important given their mandates to keep elections “fair and impartial” while hailing from one political party.

The legacy of the Jan. 6 committee ... and what's still left to do

The voluminous documents state election officials have sent the Jan. 6 committee, obtained by POLITICO through open records requests, underscore the depth of Trump's pressure campaign directed at the typically lower-level administrators of presidential balloting. The emails, texts and phone recordings also add consequential context to previously reported incidents, such as Trump’s call to Georgia's top elections investigator and Mark Meadows’ outreach to Georgia election officials.

The select panel asked states for any scrap of evidence to justify allegations of election fraud that Trump baselessly promoted, focusing much of its efforts on officials in Arizona, Georgia, Pennsylvania and Michigan. Those states found virtually no evidence of fraud, according to Thompson.

Among the officials who spoke with the committee was Kathy Boockvar, Pennsylvania's secretary of state during the 2020 election, according to a source familiar with the situation not authorized to speak publicly. A spokesperson for the Pennsylvania secretary of state declined to comment on whether the panel had been in touch with the state’s officials.

Mainly, the records show state officials trying to either mollify or ignore Trump and his allies without distorting election results or embracing debunked claims of vote tampering. A spokesperson for the select panel declined to comment on the documents.

Pressure in Georgia

Just one day before Georgia was set to certify the 2020 election results and seal Trump’s defeat, records turned over to the Jan. 6 committee show a text message that arrived on the phone of Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger.

“Mr Secretary. Mark Meadows here. If you could give me a brief call at your convenience. Thank you,” the then-White House chief of staff texted Raffensperger in a Nov. 19, 2020, message obtained through a public records request.

Jan. 6 committee vote to hold Meadows in contempt, read text between him and Trump Jr.

He will get indicted by the DOJ and in Georgia

"You’re not going to get COVID if you have these vaccinations," and "If you’re vaccinated, you’re not going to be hospitalized, you’re not going to be in the ICU unit, and you’re not going to die."

James, we will call him let’s call them, “vaxxed and done.” The attitude of the VADs is this:

For more than a year, I did everything that public-health authorities told me to do. I wore masks. I canceled vacations. I made sacrifices. I got vaccinated. I got boosted. I’m happy to get boosted again. But this virus doesn’t stop. Year over year, the infections don’t decrease. Instead, virulence for people like me is decreasing, either because the virus is changing, or because of growing population immunity, or both. Americans should stop pointlessly guilting themselves about all these cases. In the past week, daily confirmed COVID cases per capita were higher than the U.S. in Ireland, Greece, Iceland, Denmark, France, the U.K., Spain, Portugal, Italy, Switzerland, and even Australia, one of the most COVID-cautious countries in the world. As the coronavirus continues its unstoppable march toward endemicity, our attitude toward the virus should follow a similar path toward stoicism. COVID is becoming something like the seasonal flu for most people who keep up with their shots, so I’m prepared to treat this like I’ve treated the flu: by basically not worrying about it and living my life normally.

It’s hard to put a number on how many people are in this group, but we have some hard data to prove that their ranks are growing.

VAD IS NOT GOOD NEWS

"Just 37% of Americans name the virus as one of their top five priorities for the government to work on in 2022, compared with 53% who said it was a leading priority at the same time a year ago. The economy outpaced the pandemic in the open-ended question, with 68% of respondents mentioning it in some way as a top 2022 concern."

It is Bidenonics that has failed.

So there are some people out there who want to live their lives and for some reason that just upsets you. They are not claiming that they are resisting the vaccines. On the contrary, they are boostered and will continue to get boostered.

They are just going to stop walking around petrified of the Covid virus, when it appears very much like there will be little or nothing we can do to actually stop it.

This literally has NOTHING to do with you, your nursing home, the fifth Beatle you live with, or anything else. But still it upset you because... because they disagree with you? Because you want everyone to be running scared all the time?

Why does this bother you exactly Roger?

Well what the fuck else are the vaxxed folks supposed to be doing, alky?

I'm fully vaxxed and boosted and I fully expect to get the Wuhan Flu.

Biden and all of the flunkies from the CDC to the NIH to MSDNC LIED when they said that the vaccinated would not contract Covid. They LIED. Period. Full stop. Knowingly LIED.

But it's us folks who are fully vaxxed and moving on with life that are the fucking problem.

This bothers him because we and millions of others are not completely beholden to the voice of government on this issue.

Ironically, if the Biden administration had actually done anything useful on Covid, they wouldn't be trying to gin up a kangaroo court over Jan. 6.

Here in Illinois we are not petrified, but when we go to the supermarket, almost all of us are masked.

But you are free to be unvaccinated, unboostered, and to associate freely with other unmasked people in huge crowds.

Go ahead.

Unless, of course, there are no huge unmasked crowds willing to associate with you.

Here in Washington, masks are mandated.

But you might want to ask Ocasio-Cortez about whether or not there are crowds of unmasked people willing to associate with her? Seems to me she had no troubles finding large crowds of unmasked people to party with.

rrb said...

Masks are mandated here in NY too until 01/15, upon which our idiot governor - Cuomo with tits - will mandate them again. All in the face of ZERO scientific evidence to support the use of masks.

Or are you simply too stupid to UNDERSTAND

Once again the diminutive mouth of the south fails to read and understand articles posted about masks!!!

studies:

Researchers (including a CDC doctor) for a February 2021 article published by the Journal of the American Medical Association reviewed data from 10 previous studies conclude mask wearing substantially reduces spread. They write that wearing a cloth mask can reduce transmission of exhaled droplets from infected wearers into the air by around 50% to 70%. Additionally, masks were shown to help prevent uninfected wearers from inhaling large respiratory droplets

Seems to me, basic research and logic are beyond the grasp of drunken Georgia salesmen and dumb fucks from NY!!!!

BTW to help you fatass

Your cloth face mask isn't protecting you against the coronavirus variant omicron, health officials say.

As common as cloth face masks have become, health experts say, they do little to prevent tiny virus particles from getting into your nose or mouth and aren't effective against the new variant.

"Cloth masks are not going to cut it with omicron," says Linsey Marr, a researcher at Virginia Tech told NPR.

BWAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!! Omicron is a corona virus.....that does not change the mechanism of spreading or the fact that masks are a tool to slow the spread....Sorry asshole....you are in why over your short head......LOLOLOLOL

Caliphate4vr said...

Hey stupid you failed again

anonymous said...

You are the one defining masks as cloth......BWAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!! Nice try again asshole!!!!!! BTW>. Cloth masks do prevent the wearer from projecting aerosols if they are infected....IOW's they slow the spread......

Because omicron is super contagious We’ve known for a while that wearing face masks can block the exhale of virus particles into the air around you, which helps keep the virus from spreading. And of course, masks are also a helpful barrier when you cough or sneeze.

This is all false.
