According to our Lil Schitty......Covid is the sole responsibility of Biden and has done a horrible job!!!!!!! BWAAAAAAPAAAAAA!!!! All the time spreading his misinformation and bias to bolster his man hood and trump...what a sorry sack of dog shit when an idle mind has nothing to do......!!!!!
The aftermath of the 2020 presidential election was probably most Americans’ introduction to Brad Raffensperger, the Georgia secretary of state who rebuffed then-President Donald Trump’s entreaties to “find 11,780 votes” that would allow him to carry the state. Same with Ken Paxton, the Texas attorney general who filed a baseless lawsuit to get the Supreme Court to throw out 60 of then-President-elect Biden’s electoral votes.
Secretaries of state and state attorneys general have always been influential within their own states, but the attempted abuse of these offices to try to overturn the results of the 2020 election has finally awakened the rest of the country to their importance. As a result, campaigns for these offices that flew under the radar in 2014 (when Paxton was first elected) and 2018 (when Raffensperger was) have been thrust into the national spotlight here in 2022.
This year, 27 secretaries of state and 30 attorneys general will be elected nationwide (other states either elect them in other years or don’t elect them at all). And since the secretaries of state and attorneys general who are elected in 2022 will wield power in 2024, this year’s elections could plunge our democracy into further danger if would-be election subverters win them.
Kentucky GOP SecState blasts Republicans for pushing Trump's 'Big Lie'

The Republican secretary of state in Kentucky had harsh words as Republicans continue to push Donald Trump's "big lie" of election fraud.
Politico conducted interviews with 10 state chief election officials and reported, "many described how they have had to refocus their positions to battle a constant rolling boil of mis- and disinformation about election processes."
"Election officials also expressed concern at the increase of election mis- and disinformation coming from state lawmakers. Secretaries said that they were concerned that legislators and other elected officials are using their platforms to give a veneer of legitimacy to untrue claims about election systems, while also looking to introduce legislation that looks to act upon those conspiracies. 'It’s one thing if it is just some Twitter profile with an egg icon and 60 followers,' said Kentucky Secretary of State Michael Adams, a Republican."
Adams spoke about the specific circumstances in Kentucky, where GOP Sen. Rand Paul has refused to admit on TV that the election was not stolen and GOP state Sen. Adrienne Southworth has hosted a “Restore Election Integrity” tour.
“The biggest problem I’ve got with regards to misinformation is we’ve got a sitting state senator who’s going around the state conducting a tour alleging that we’re having corrupt, hacked elections,” Adams said. “It’s not just fighting misinformation that she’s putting out to the public, it’s also finding out the misinformation that she’s putting within the legislature.”
Judge Andrew Napolitano of judgenap.com joins The Alex Jones Show to break down the state of the Durham investigation into spying on the Trump campaign and what the mounting evidence means for former President Obama.
Napolitano told Jones, “If Barack Obama convened a room of people in the Oval Office, which included John Brennan then-head of the CIA, Jim Comey the head of the FBI, Mrs. Clinton, Joe Biden, Jake Sullivan and himself, and they agreed to use the assets of the federal government to spy on and thus undermine the president-elect then we have a very serous problem on our hands.”

He's absolutely correct. The problem is that none of those he cites will face prosecution.
As a nation we only go after Republicans.
As Instapundit nailed it the other day. -
"When a Republican is in office, all of the MSM wants to be Woodward and Bernstein. When a Democrat is in office, all of the MSM wants to be Monica Lewinsky."
Relax alky. All of your favorite pieces of shit are safe.
None of the fucking scumbags listed by Napolitano has anything to worry about. It'll all be laughed off and swept under the rug. Just like it ALWAYS is. Especially if the GOP seizes the House & Senate majorities in November.

Beijing Weighs How Far to Go in Backing Putin February 16, 2022 at 5:42 pm EST By Taegan Goddard 72 Comments
“China’s top leaders have spent days weighing how far Beijing should go to back Russian President Vladimir Putin and how to manage a partnership many call a marriage of conve-nience as opposed to one of conviction,” the Wall Street Journal reports.
“With the threat of a Russian invasion of Ukraine looming, China’s final arbiter of power—the seven-member Politburo Standing Committee led by President Xi Jinping—has largely disappeared from public view.
“Behind closed doors, one topic of intense discussion is how to respond to the Russian-Ukraine crisis and back Moscow without hurting China’s own interests.”

Russia Added Troops to Ukraine Border February 16, 2022 at 6:58 pm EST By Taegan Goddard Leave a Comment
“Russia has added as many as 7,000 troops near the Ukraine border in recent days, contrary to claims by President Vladimir Putin that troops would be pulled back from the region,” the AP reports.
WASHINGTON — No Russian troops were withdrawn from the border with Ukraine, a senior Biden administration official told reporters Wednesday night, disputing Moscow’s claim that it was pulling back some forces.
“We now know it was false,” the official said, adding that as many as 7,000 troops have joined the 150,000 already near the border in recent days.

US official: Russia adds 7K more troops near Ukraine border

AP — Ukrainians defied pressure from Moscow with a national show of flag-waving unity Wednesday, while the U.S. warned that Russia had added as many as 7,000 troops near Ukraine’s borders despite Kremlin declarations that forces were being pulled back from the region.
While a feared Russian invasion of Ukraine did not materialize as feared, the United States and its allies maintained that the threat is still strong, with Europe’s security and economic stability in the balance.
Russia has massed more than 150,000 troops east, north and south of Ukraine, according to Western estimates. Russian President Vladimir Putin has signaled that he wants a peaceful path out of the crisis, and U.S. President Joe Biden promised that the U.S. would continue to give diplomacy “every chance,” but he struck a skeptical tone about Moscow’s intentions.
Biden also insisted that Washington and its allies would not “sacrifice basic principles” respecting Ukraine sovereignty.
Russian Defense Ministry video showed a trainload of armored vehicles moving across a bridge away from Crimea, the Black Sea peninsula that Russia annexed from Ukraine in 2014. It also announced that more tank units were being loaded on trains to move back to their permanent bases after training exercises.
But at the same time, Russia continued war games near Ukraine’s borders and across its vast territory.
A senior U.S. administration official said the West detected that Russia had increased its force near Ukraine by 7,000 troops, with some arriving as recently as Wednesday, and that there had been a marked increase in false claims by Russians that the Kremlin might use as pretext for an invasion.
The official said those claims included reports of unmarked graves of civilians allegedly killed by Ukrainian forces, statements that the U.S. and Ukraine are developing biological or chemical weapons, and claims that the West is funneling in guerrillas to kill Ukrainians.
The official was not authorized to speak publicly about sensitive operations and spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity. The official did not provide underlying evidence for the assertions.
The U.S. and Europe are maintaining threats of harsh sanctions. Trust between East and West remains elusive.
“We haven’t seen a pullback,” U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken told ABC News. “He (Putin) can pull the trigger. He can pull it today. He can pull it tomorrow. He can pull it next week. The forces are there if he wants to renew aggression against Ukraine.”
State Department spokesman Ned Price said the U.S. had seen “more Russian forces, not fewer.”
Asked why Russians would claim to be withdrawing when government intelligence, commercial satellite photos and social media videos showed no evidence of that, Price said: “This is the Russian playbook, to paint a picture publicly … while they do the opposite.”
NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg said the alliance also had not seen “any withdrawal of Russian forces,” as did multiple European governments. Before chairing a NATO defense ministers meeting in Brussels, he said: “If they really start to withdraw forces, that’s something we will welcome, but that remains to be seen.”
In the meantime, the alliance is examining this week how and when to rapidly dispatch troops and equipment to countries closest to Russia and the Black Sea region should Moscow order an invasion.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy similarly dismissed the Russian withdrawal claims.
“What is this? Rotations, withdrawal, returning back again,” he said on a visit to the southeastern city of Mariupol. “It’s too early to rejoice.”
The Ukrainian leader has repeatedly sought to project calm as well as strength during the crisis, declaring Wednesday a “Day of National Unity.”
“We are united by a desire to happily live in peace,” Zelenskyy said in an address to the nation earlier in the day. “We can defend our home only if we stay united.”
Across the country, Ukrainians of all ages waved flags in the streets and from apartment windows.
Hundreds unfolded a 200-meter (650-foot) flag at Kyiv’s Olympic Stadium, while another was draped in the center of a shopping mall in the capital.
In the government-controlled part of Ukraine’s eastern region of Luhansk, where Russian-backed separatists have been fighting Ukrainian troops since 2014, residents stretched another huge flag across a street.
“This event, this number of people united around Ukrainian flag will show that we stand for united Ukraine,” said resident Olena Tkachova.
A 2015 deal brokered by France and Germany helped end the worst of the fighting in eastern Ukraine, but implementation has stalled. The deal, known as the Minsk agreement, would offer broad self-rule to the separatist territories and thus is resented by many in Ukraine.
A Ukrainian government official said in a television interview that Zelenskyy would consider holding a referendum on the Minsk agreement “if there are no other options or instruments.” But Vice Prime Minister Iryna Vereshchuk said she was unaware that such an idea was under serious discussion.
Russia has repeatedly complained that the U.S. and NATO have not responded satisfactorily in writing to its security concerns. Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said Wednesday that Russia is in the final phase of preparing its formal response to the West. “After that, a schedule of further steps will be developed,” she said on state television.
It appears to be another indication that Russia is playing a long game, determined to keep up the pressure for awhile.
Russia wants the West to keep Ukraine and other former Soviet nations out of NATO, halt weapons deployments near Russian borders and roll back forces from Eastern Europe. The U.S. and its allies have roundly rejected those demands, but they offered to engage in talks with Russia on ways to bolster security in Europe.
For now, Russia is flexing its muscle. Russian fighter jets flew training missions Wednesday over neighboring Belarus and paratroopers held shooting drills at firing ranges there as part of massive war games that the West feared could be used as cover for an invasion of Ukraine. Belarusian Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei reaffirmed that all Russian troops and weapons will leave the country when the maneuvers end Sunday.
Maxar Technologies, a commercial satellite imagery company that has been monitoring the Russian buildup, reported Wednesday that new photos show heightened Russian military activity near Ukraine, including the construction of a pontoon bridge in Belarus less than 6 kilometers (4 miles) from the Ukrainian border.
Russia has mocked Western warnings about an imminent invasion as “paranoia” and “madness.” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov pointed sarcastically at warnings of an invasion that could start Wednesday, saying that Russian officials had a good sleep.
Asked by German daily Welt if Russia was going to attack Wednesday, Russia’s ambassador to the European Union Vladimir Chizhov quipped: “Wars in Europe rarely start on a Wednesday.”
“There won’t be an escalation next week either, on in the week after, or in the coming month,” he said.
But British Defense Secretary Ben Wallace told Sky News that instead of a Russian withdrawal, “we’ve seen continued buildup of things like field hospitals and strategic weapons systems.”
The White House will lean on Vice President Kamala Harris to help with diplomatic efforts when she travels to Germany to take part in this weekend’s Munich Security Conference, officials said. Harris is scheduled to meet Friday with Stoltenberg and hold a multilateral meeting with the leaders of the Baltic states of Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia. She’s also scheduled to deliver a major address Saturday on the administration’s efforts to stop Russian aggression. After the speech, Harris is slated to meet with Zelenskyy and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz.

She will be a brilliant and not partisan justice. My kind .
With his high-profile backing of U.S. District Judge Michelle Childs of South Carolina for the coming vacancy on the U.S. Supreme Court, Congressman Jim Clyburn has done a great service to Democrats and Republicans alike.
The question is, will President Joe Biden and both political parties be smart enough to take advantage of it?
Or instead, will hardline progressive Democrats and hardline conservative Republicans gather in a circular firing squad of opposition to Childs being nominated and confirmed? We’ll soon see.
If selected by Biden, Judge Childs represents the opportunity to set aside the poisonous politics and deep division that has become the norm in this country and replace it with an uplifting and unifying moment.
While I’m under no illusion that the nomination of Judge Childs to the Supreme Court would prompt the Squad to embrace the MAGA folks and vice versa, I do think it would give both sides a chance to revisit and live up to what America is supposed to be about.
Things like E pluribus unum. That Latin phrase means “out of many, one.” It is a statement of unity and purpose, which appears on the official Seal of the United States. This country could use some of that message right now, and I think the nomination of Michelle Childs to the U.S. Supreme Court could provide that.
Why? Because even in the political sewer that is Washington, D.C., Childs would be a powerful stream of fresh water running through the clogged pipes of confirmation in the U.S. Senate.
Indeed, it is the fact that she is not a practiced ideologue but rather a principled jurist that makes Childs the right pick at the right time for the right reasons.
As The New York Times reported, “People who have known Judge Childs for decades, personally and professionally, struggle to assign her a political ideology. Many describe a pragmatic approach to her rulings, which they say she issues after intense preparation and deliberation.”
In that story, William Hubbard, dean of the University of South Carolina School of Law and past president of the American Bar Association said, “I think that is a reflection of how people view her, not as an ideologue but as a fair judge.”
A senior British intelligence official said the new buildup of Russian forces near the Ukrainian border included armored vehicles, helicopters and a field hospital.
“Russia has the military mass in place to conduct an invasion of Ukraine,” Chief of Defense Intelligence Lt. Gen. Sir Jim Hockenhull said in a statement.
Some 130,000 Russian troops have gathered near Ukraine, including some 30,000 for military drills in Belarus, in recent weeks, prompting the U.S. to shut down its embassy in Kyiv and to evacuate American diplomats and military personnel. Russian President Vladimir Putin said after meeting German Chancellor Olaf Scholz Tuesday that he had ordered “a partial troop withdrawal” and that he is open to continuing talks with the West about Russia’s security demands and the future of Ukraine.
On Wednesday, Russia’s Defense Ministry said that some of these units had begun leaving Crimea, which Moscow seized from Ukraine and annexed in 2014, for their permanent bases. Some of these bases aren’t far from Ukraine, which means that the redeployed troops will continue to pose a threat.
Ukraine has launched military drills of its own along the borders with Russia and Belarus, as well as on its southern coast, which is vulnerable to Russian amphibious landings. “All the troops that needed to be deployed to positions to strengthen dangerous approaches have been deployed, and everyone who needed to receive ammunition has received it,” Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov said in a televised appearance Wednesday.

CBS News EU ambassador says Russia-Ukraine crisis has unified Europe Sophie Reardon - 1h ago
European Union Ambassador to the U.S. Stavros Lambrinidis blamed Russia for the tensions with Ukraine, the European Union and the rest of the world, saying that Russian President Vladimir Putin's actions have helped unify western powers. Although the European Union is prepared for a possible Russian invasion of its neighbor, the ambassador told CBS News that the continent is hopeful Putin will not move to war.
"We're in a very tense situation, and this hasn't changed," Lambrinidis told CBS News chief Washington correspondent Major Garrett on "Red and Blue" Wednesday. "The Russian troops are still there. Even if they have removed a few, which has not been verified, we're talking about over 100,000 troops."
Lambrinidis said he is still hopeful that the tensions can be dealt with via diplomacy.
"For us, this is existential. It must be understood that this is Europe, and Ukraine is in Europe," he said. "And Russia is not just simply threatening Ukraine, but through Ukraine, it is in effect, threatening the right of countries in the 21st century to be free and independent and to make their own decisions. If that kind of broad affair succeeds, then instability and insecurity and the potential for war not just in Europe — in the rest of the world — is going to be much higher."
Ukraine is already being affected by Russia's buildup of troops along its border. The economy is suffering, and Ukraine is seeing large-scale cyberattacks. Residents in the country have their bags packed in case they need to evacuate, according to Lambrinidis.
"This is not the 1940s, this is 2022, and this is just simply unacceptable," the ambassador said.
If Russia did choose war, he said, it would lead to "a remarkable violent period for Europe."
"It's going to cost you both in real economic terms and historically a price that you've never paid in the recent history of Russia," he warned. "It's going to ensure that Europe, which is Russia's neighbor, is going to move away from Russia for a very long time. It's going to ensure that Russia is going to suffer economic consequences that it will have to claw out of, perhaps by seeking alliances around the world that perhaps in normal circumstances it would feel quite uncomfortable in. And it will mean that the Russian people who absolutely have nothing, nothing to be blamed for for the Kremlin's adventurism may also suffer in return and that is something we simply don't want. It's entirely Mr. Putin's decision."
He said Russia's actions have brought European Union member nations closer together, and that they are united in planning massive, coordinated sanctions against the Russian economy and certain individuals. And the ambassador said that should Russia cut them off from its energy supplies, the European Union would be able to make it through the winter without Russia's resources.
Putin's actions have also united the European Union and the U.S., which has also agreed to historic sanctions against the country should it invade. Lambrinidis said the coordination between the two has been "remarkable."
"We are speaking every day, almost every day, at the highest levels… to nail down all of the consequences that Russia will face," he said.
As an example, Lambrinidis said that Russia sent a letter to each member of the European Union, and in response, it got ONE letter from the European Union and ONE letter from NATO.
"I think Russia thought it could divide and conquer us, and it has actually united the European Union and NATO more than we have arguably been ever before," he said.
COVID is simply a new flu. The risk of COVID death for the general population is approximately 0.17% and even lower for children. Only the small percentage of the population with multiple, life-threatening, pre-existing conditions, is at significant medical risk from COVID. Comparing CDC COVID data on case rates, hospitalizations, and deaths with the seasonal flu in 2017-2018 and 2018-2019 confirms that COVID is merely a new flu.
Claiming to protect all Americans from “deadly” COVID (SARS-CoV-2), the Biden administration took away medical autonomy with their tyrannical medical mandates for masks, lockdowns, and coerced injections. The Biden administration went against our Constitution, our laws, accepted moral codes, and proper public health policy.
The Fourth Amendment guarantees Americans the right “to be secure in their persons.”
Only licensed physicians can practice medicine, yet that is what federal bureaucrats did by repudiating clinical physicians’ judgment, while also rejecting patients’ medical freedom.
The Pfizer and Moderna vaccines mandated by Washington are different from all other vaccines, such as polio, DPT, and MMR. COVID shots, based on a never-before-used-as-vaccine mRNA gene therapy technology. The safety and efficacy studies required for all vaccines were not done for the Washington “jab,” and therefore, there are no long-term outcome results or even moderate-term data. By any definition, the jab is experimental.
The Nuremberg Code (1947) says individuals must be free to participate or not in medical experimentation. The Pfizer and Moderna vaccines, colloquially called the “jab,” are experimental gene (mRNA) therapy technology, never before used as a vaccine. The usual safety and efficacy studies were skipped: there are no long-term outcome data. Since the vaccines are experimental, no patient should be forced to take them.

Here’s a quick quiz: How do we know the new developments in special counsel John Durham’s investigation are important?
Answer: Because the New York Times and Washington Post claim they aren’t important.

Big Media’s messengers for the Deep State are nothing if not consistent. For years they sold the Russia, Russia, Russia hoax as the greatest story ever told. And now that the entire story is being unmasked as a figment of Hillary Clinton’s presidential ambition, the same suspects insist there’s nothing to see here.

It is awfully late in the game to be surprised that our national press corps puts its political agenda ahead of the national interest, but the refusal to treat the Durham probe with the seriousness it deserves takes the dereliction to a new level. The refusal involves deliberate attempts to mislead the public.
Then again, the motive is obvious. Giving Durham his due would require the media to re-examine its role in perpetuating the dirtiest dirty trick in American political history.
They won’t do that re-examination now for the same reason they wouldn’t do it after Robert Mueller couldn’t find the Trump-Russia collusion the press and Democrats insisted was in plain sight. The truth of how they screwed up would destroy careers and ruin reputations.

Fox News Creates Another Clinton Scandal

This piece is only available to Political Wire members.
For the last few days I’ve been bombarded with emails wondering why I’m ignoring the “bombshell” story from Fox News on how Hillary Clinton’s campaign “infiltrated” the White House in an effort to link Donald Trump to Russia.
For background, the story comes from a new court filing from special counsel John Durham which alleges that tech executive Rodney Joffe “exploited his access to computer data” at the Trump White House to find “derogatory information” about Trump and his connections with Russia, according to NBC News.
Joffe then gave that information to attorney Michael Sussmann, who was associated with the Clinton campaign, who supposedly passed it along to the CIA in February 2017.
Aaron Rupar reports the word “infiltrate” has been mentioned at least 47 times on either Fox News or Fox Business in covering this story so far this week — even though the word appears nowhere in Durham’s filing.
But where the story completely falls apart is that the “derogatory information” in question was acquired legally through the publicly-accessible domain name system that allows the Internet to function.
There was no hacking. There was no spying. This was not “far worse than Watergate.”
Which raises the question: Why is Fox News is trying to turn this into a story now, five years later?
Perhaps it’s the network’s never-quenched thirst for covering Clinton scandals. Or perhaps it’s an attempt to deflect from the bad news circling Donald Trump this week.
But more likely is that Fox News executives have convinced themselves that Hillary Clinton could be the Democratic presidential nominee in 2024.
It’s not likely in my view, but as John Ellis writes, it’s not impossible to imagine either.
The ecosystem is so corrupt and self-serving that the New York Times and the Washington Post won Pulitzer Prizes for their vicious lies.
These baseless allegations were legitimized following the appointment of Special Counsel Robert Mueller. After more than two years and a cloud of doubt over the Trump administration, when Mueller found nothing, he didn’t exonerate Trump, he just claimed he hadn’t found evidence to prove guilt which caused the media to proceed with their baseless speculations.
The media by its very definition is a mere carrier of news. Over the decades, the media has abandoned that role and have become willing Democrat propagandists. However, during the Trump era, they were blatant about being partisans. In their self-righteous minds, they had rationalized that Trump didn’t deserve to be treated fairly like other presidents. They frequently referred to the Democrats as 'we.’
This relentless campaign was the first step towards the rigging of the 2020 elections.
The bombshell revelations from the Durham investigation were largely ignored by most of the mainstream media.
When compelled to cover the story, they always begin with a disclaimer that it is a ‘right-wing’ conspiracy theory or that the ‘right-wing’ media was occupied covering it.
Breitbart tracked the media coverage and reported the following:
The New York Times headlined its story, “Court Filing Started a Furor in Right-Wing Outlets, but Their Narrative Is Off Track,” and claimed the “alarmist” narrative highlights “the challenge for journalists in deciding what merits coverage”
The Post published an “analysis” that claimed there was no evidence “Trump Tower was ‘wiretapped.'” The article didn’t state links between Hillary’s campaign and her associates that allegedly spied on Trump:
CNN merely reported the court filings.
MSNBC, NBC, ABC, and CBS news channels have now ignored the recent revelations, according to Fox News.
So what happens in the unlikely situation that Durham delivers indictments are made that go right to the very top?
It will be called a right-wing coup to enable Trump to become president. They will call it a conspiracy to undermine the Jan. 6 investigations. Finally, Durham will be personally attacked as a racist and Putin stooge. The cacophony will continue.
Apart from the partisanship, the real reason that this story isn’t being covered is that the media was culpable in this driving the Trump-Russia collusion narrative.
If they were to write op-eds or conduct discussions on this story, all fingers would, at some juncture, point towards them for their fabrications.
It helps that they have built a robust, almost self-sustaining eco-system that some have called the Washington Democrat Media Complex. Proponents of this unholy alliance also include Big Tech, Showbiz, Corporate Houses (sponsors), NGOs, and the Woke Mob who have been brainwashed by decades of propaganda.
These are ardent subscribers of the groupthink and tune in every day to have their daily dose of hate. They have a monopoly on the mainstream media and like tyrants, they suffer from an illusion of their permanence.
President Trump was right when said that the mendacious media is the enemy of the people. It is the media that drives the divide across the U.S. with their disinformation campaigns and amplifying and censoring news stories to push their narrative.
The good news is that the public is waking up and the audiences are rapidly dwindling.

The ecosystem is so corrupt and self-serving that the New York Times and the Washington Post won Pulitzer Prizes for their vicious lies.
Fact Check: TRUE.
If either had a sense of honor and decency they'd return the prizes as they were "won" under demonstrably false pretenses.
But then again, seeing as they're all part of the same mutual admiration society circle-jerk that awards them in the first place, I suppose it really doesn't matter. All they are in reality is a DNC Super-PAC.
New coronavirus cases have declined more than 80 percent from their peak in mid-January. Still, daily case reports remain well above 100,000 per day. About 85,000 people with the virus are hospitalized nationwide. This number, as well as the number of Covid-19 patients in intensive care units, has fallen by more than 30 percent in the last two weeks. After several weeks of rapid growth, death reports have also begun a modest downturn. Around 2,300 deaths are reported each day, a decrease of more than 10 percent since the start of the month. Cases are currently declining in every U.S. state. In all but four states, reports of new infections are down by 50 percent or more in the last two weeks. West Virginia, Alabama and Kentucky have the country’s highest numbers of recent hospitalizations. Those states have vaccination rates well below the national average.
As the national mood becomes gloomier under the Biden administration, a useful indicator for measuring economic pain has resurfaced after years of dormancy: the so-called misery index.
Created by the late economist Arthur Okun, the misery index became widely known in the 1970s and early 1980s during the presidencies of Jimmy Carter and Ronald Reagan. It adds together two measures of economic pain — the unemployment rate and inflation for consumers — to give a sense of the economic distress felt by everyday Americans.
The index hit 11% in November and December and reached 11.5% last month — higher than any month in 2008 when the Great Recession began and just behind its highest levels in late 2009 and early 2010 when unemployment was around 10%. The current level is the highest in a decade, not including the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Economists don’t consider the misery index a sophisticated metric but say it’s a useful tool.
But the far-right’s cancel culture extends far beyond school libraries.
What more grotesque display of cancel culture is there than invading the U.S. Capitol in a violent attempt to cancel the constitutional tabulation of ballots in the 2020 presidential election? Or the Republican officials who even now seek to erase the past 13 months of Joe Biden’s presidency (not to mention 81,283,098 votes) by refusing to say that he was elected? Or demanding the cancellation of the television show “The View” because of the odious and uninformed opinions of Whoopi Goldberg? Or the calls for the removal of Colin Kaepernick from the NFL for legally protesting as part of the Black Lives Matter movement? Or, in 2003, the banning of “French fries” from the menus of congressional dining rooms because the government of France opposed the Iraq war? Or demanding that radio stations not play songs by the Dixie Chicks because of the group’s opposition to the same invasion? Or last year’s attempt by the Ohio secretary of state to cancel a Jane Fonda speech because of her 50-year-old views on Vietnam?
I could go on.
None of this excuses similar efforts from other quarters. “Of Mice and Men” and “To Kill a Mockingbird” were among the Library Association’s 10 most-challenged books in 2020 because of their treatment of race. In 2021, the Burbank, Calif., school district removed “To Kill a Mockingbird,” “Adventures of Huckleberry Finn,” “Of Mice and Men,” “The Cay” and “Roll of Thunder, Hear Me Cry,” after complaints by parents that the books used racist epithets. I understand their concerns, but our history is gory and glorious at the same time. And culture, properly used as a teaching tool, challenges us to recognize a society’s capacity to sink or soar.
I don’t minimize bans from the left. But the notion that cancel culture is the sole province of the so called “woke left” is flat out, undeniably, irrefutably wrong.
Which, sadly, doesn’t matter. In any cancel culture, the first casualty is the truth.
The ladies over at the 'Victory Girls' blog destroy Israel's 'argument' and also lay waste to the lie surrounding the 'banning' of the book - 'Maus.'
Sane people to Steve – Jan 6 is not about cancel culture.
He then launches into a tiny list of other so-called morally equivalent moves by the nefarious right in trying to cancel Whoopi Goldberg, Colin Kaepernick, “French Fries” and the Dixie Chicks. If the list weren’t so pitiful it would be worthy of a Woke Oscar for comedy. Though, we will address the charge about Whoopi — since it was only her firing being bantered about, not the cancel cudgel for The View regardless of how much that IQ-suck of a show deserves it.
Patriotic American citizens are tired of being told they must behave according to Marquis of Queensberry rules while the illiberal Left and its Democrat sycophants and acolytes do as they please. Understand this, Steve. We’ve read Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals and we’re going to do Rule 4 to you and yours. As hard as we can.
Gee....finally found the source of rat's and shorty's obsession about John Brennan....the abject bullshit that emanates from Fox news....the MSM network that only tells the truth......BWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!

Ukraine and Russian-Backed Rebels Report Shelling February 17, 2022 at 8:33 am EST By Taegan Goddard 27 Comments
“Ukraine’s military and the Russian-backed separatists it has battled for eight years in the country’s eastern Donbas region both accused the other side of opening fire on Thursday in violation of ceasefire agreements that have been shaky, at best, since they were signed seven years ago,” CBS News reports.
“The reports of shelling and gunfire were a worrying indication that tensions could be escalating despite Russia’s claims to be pulling forces back from Ukraine’s borders.”
Wall Street Journal: “The Ukrainian government said Kyiv-controlled areas of the Luhansk region came under sustained shelling Thursday morning.”

“With Western fears high that Russia is planning to invade, tensions also spiked Thursday along the line that separates Ukrainian forces from Russia-backed separatists in the country’s east, with the parties accusing each other of intensive shelling.”

Initial jobless claims rose from a revised 225,000 in the prior week, the Labor Department said Thursday.
Economists polled by The Wall Street Journal had forecast initial jobless claims to total a seasonally adjusted 218,000 in the seven days ended Feb. 12.
Initial jobless claims were 248,000 for the week ended Feb. 12, increasing by 23,000 from the previous week’s revised level of 225,000, according to data released by the Labor Department. Economists surveyed by FactSet were expecting claims to come in at 220,000.

“Trump won the vast majority of these counties, but because Biden’s blowout counties are much more populous, he got many more votes out of his ‘super landslide’ counties than Trump got out of his.”
“Trump’s blowouts were concentrated in white, rural counties in the Greater South, Interior West, and Great Plains, while Biden’s were in a smattering of big cities, college towns, and smaller counties with large percentages of heavily Democratic nonwhite voters.”
President Joe Biden on Thursday said he believes Russian President Vladimir Putin will go through with an invasion of Ukraine within days.
"My sense is this will happen in the next several days," he told ABC News Chief White House Correspondent Cecilia Vega as he left the White House for a trip to Ohio.
Biden told reporters the threat of an invasion is still "high."

Bob Brigham
February 16, 2022

Special counsel John Durham is using court filings to spread conspiracy theories about the 2016 election! He's a partisan hack.
Durham set off a furor in conservative media over the weekend after adding some more flavor to his now-familiar mélange of allegations waving toward a broad conspiracy involving the Clinton campaign. In a Friday night court filing, Durham said that a tech executive linked to Sussmann had “exploited” access to White House servers by “mining” them for data in a bid to gather “derogatory information about Donald Trump.
Via that access, Durham claimed, the executive was able to observe internet traffic from “(i) a particular healthcare provider, (ii) Trump Tower, (iii) Donald Trump’s Central Park West apartment building, and (iv) the Executive Office of the President of the United States.”

US official: Russia adds 7K more troops near Ukraine border
By VLADIMIR ISACHENKOV, YURAS KARMANAU, LORNE COOK and AAMER MADHANI
16 minutes ago

She will be the next Supreme Court Justice
She will be a brilliant and not partisan justice. My kind
.
Lyndsey Graham has suggested her.
Trump already had a very effective tv ad out hammering Hillary for breaking the law. Good. Her comeback is done.

EU ambassador says Russia-Ukraine crisis has unified Europe
Sophie Reardon - 1h ago

Move along, they say. And by the way, did you see what Donald Trump did today?

Lock her up
The ecosystem is so corrupt and self-serving that the New York Times and the Washington Post won Pulitzer Prizes for their vicious lies.

NPR reported that Recession fears have risen.
Bidenomics failed.
And the goat fucker confirms his hatred of America.......BWAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!

Once you acknowledge the fact that 99.9% of the narratives promoted by the left are flatly FALSE narratives, everything snaps into focus.
