Apparently not many Americans are impressed that Biden decided to limit the recent USSC nomination to less than two percent of the population, and now features a list that includes judges still in District and State Courts, because there simply are not experiences names to choose from if he follows his own limitations.
Moreover, there is little reason to believe it will get better. Liberals seems to believe that if the overall mood of the country lifts, that Biden will suddenly jump back up to 50%. But the truth is that Biden has been exposed and even if things get a little better I don't believe that anyone is going to be giving Biden credit. More to the point, with the Feds talking about as many as four new rate increases, that is simply going to slow down the economy to the point where we could be heading into negative GDP growth. Meanwhile, everything that does go wrong, even within the worlds as a whole (think Russia, China, etc) will be seen as another Biden failure.
Lastly, the problems with Biden's age and cognitive problems will not improve over time. They will (by definition) only get worse. His word salads, losing his cool, and becoming confused in public is probably going to also get worse. They can hide him away like they did during the election, but that will only reinforce the idea that he is incompetent and incapable of leading.

Over time, as Mr. Trump has strengthened his grip on the party, more Republicans have become convinced that he was not culpable for the violence. The nonpartisan Pew Research Center, in new polling released on Tuesday, found that fewer Americans, 43 percent, now say Mr. Trump bears a lot of responsibility for the attack than a year ago, when 52 percent said he did. About 32 percent of adults now say Mr. Trump bears no responsibility at all for the mayhem, up from 24 percent. Only 10 percent of Republicans and Republican-leaning independents say the former president bears a lot of responsibility, down from 18 percent a year ago.
On Capitol Hill, there is little appetite among Republicans for talking about the riot. House Republicans emerged from a closed-door meeting on Tuesday morning with a clear message: The party should focus on ensuring that Ms. Cheney, of Wyoming, does not win re-election in November. (Mr. Kinzinger, of Illinois, has already announced his retirement.)
“People want them kicked out,” said Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene, a Georgia Republican who led an effort last year to expel the two. But, she added, “it’d be really ridiculous to kick them out of the conference, but not work hard to make sure Liz Cheney is defeated.”
At the same time, some far-right Republicans appeared intent on portraying themselves as the victims of a Democratic drive to persecute them for their political views. On Tuesday, Representative Troy Nehls, Republican of Texas, took to Twitter to accuse the Capitol Police of secretly entering his office and “maliciously investigating me in an attempt to destroy me and my character” because he had criticized the Jan. 6 investigation.

The chief of the Capitol Police, J. Thomas Manger, said an officer had noticed Mr. Nehls’s office door was left “wide open” the weekend before Thanksgiving and, following procedures, investigated to make sure nothing had been stolen, before closing the door and locking it.
Even sadder is Lil Schitty putting so much hope in polls an eternity away from voting!!!!! BWAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!
I for one is extremely amused at the GOP self destruction censuring 2 members......sure looks there is more than feelings being hurt!!!!!
Yesterday at 5:08 p.m. EST
Republican National Committee Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel gave her party’s base and its more extreme members what they demanded last week: a pound of flesh in the form of censure resolutions against Reps. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) and Adam Kinzinger (R-Ill.), who are members of the Jan. 6 committee.
And since then, many of her fellow Republicans have given her and the RNC something between a gentle rebuke and the cold shoulder.
Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) became the latest to criticize the RNC. While some Republicans have criticized the RNC resolution for citing supposedly “legitimate political discourse” related to the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol, McConnell zeroed in on the decision to police members in the first place.
“Traditionally, the view of the national party committees is that we support all members,” he said Tuesday. McConnell said the RNC shouldn’t be “singling out members ... who may have different views from the majority.”
Let's add this to the President's tasks.
North Korea
North Korea boasted yesterday that it is one of the few countries capable of “shaking up the world” by firing a missile that could reach the US mainland. The hostile statement comes amid rising international tension over a recent series of North Korean ballistic missile tests. At least seven missile launches have occurred since last month, including their most powerful test since 2017-- which was believed to be capable of striking US territories in the Pacific Ocean. The US State Department issued a statement urging North Korea to return to peaceful dialog, calls that Pyongyang has persistently ignored.
President Biden doesn't love Kim Jong Ung.
I’m old enough to remember John F. Kennedy’s and Lyndon Johnson’s presidencies, and Earl Warren’s Supreme Court. They understood the ethical and constitutional necessity of strengthening democracy by constraining the rich and the bigoted, and protecting the votes of people of color and the poor. But starting with Ronald Reagan’s presidency and John Roberts’s Supreme Court, this responsibility has been turned upside down. Reagan loosened campaign finance laws and turned his back on voting rights, and the Roberts Court has made it harder for people of color and the poor to vote — while making it easier for the rich to flood our system with campaign money.
This is the one thing that the Democratic party can fix.
Only one of those polls even touches the day of the jobs report. Your analysis of the situation is bunk. Is everything you people don't like suddenly "fake"? Seriously, wtf are you smoking?

What's the Deal With Mike Pence?
By Andrew W. Coy
What in God's name is Mike Pence doing? And for Pence, I do mean in God's name.
Is Mike Pence a traitor to conservatives? Is Pence trying to become the next John Dean, the Watergate traitor? Is Pence trying to be just like Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger? Is Pence really a part of the Deep State? Has Pence sold out President Trump for 30 pieces of silver? Unfortunately, it appears that some of the answers to these questions could be "yes."
Unbelievable. Mike Pence has apparently sold out President Trump, MAGA Nation, and the America First agenda. Why is it that Democrats never turn on Democrats, but Republicans often times turn on Republicans? Is it the money, or the D.C. acceptance, or the power, or is it the blackmail that causes Republicans to flip on their own? Pence has flipped on his own people.
Mike Pence was speaking to the Federalist Society in Orlando, Florida. During the speech, Pence went full RINO, full Deep State, and full Biden/Pelosi/Kamala. Pence told this Federalist Society that "President Trump is wrong. I have no right to overturn the election."
Pence went on to state: "The presidency belongs to the American people and the American people alone." Pence went on to suggest that Biden won the election fair and square. As vice president, Pence has a constitutional requirement not to accept a fraudulent election that was stolen. It was Pence's constitutional duty not to accept voter fraud. And to keep history as history, elected representatives of the Senate and House were only asking for a 10-day delay. Just 10 days to make sure the 2020 was on the "up and up." Trump's former political strategist Steve Bannon said Pence's speech shows that Pence is a "stone cold coward" and it will be forever a "mark of shame" on Pence. At the same time, CNN anchor and chief domestic correspondent Jim Acosta praised Pence for the speech. So, Pence has chosen the side of Jim Acosta over Steve Bannon. Telling.
There is no question in regards to the presidential election of 2020 that election laws were broken.
There is no question that some of the individual state legislated laws were ignored. There is no question that absentee ballots were abused. There is no question that "drop boxes" were rife with fraud. There is no question that in the seven battleground (purple) states, that something illegal happened; according to those individual seven states' legal codes, laws were broken. There is no question that ballot-harvesting, illegal and otherwise, occurred. Ch has joined in.
In all of these individual state election counts, President Trump was ahead at some point on election night. President Trump was ahead. But, when election officials stopped counting votes for the night (which had never ever happened before, never ever), when Americans woke up the next morning, somehow Biden pulls ahead in these states. What are the chances, that if election fraud did not occur, that Biden would have legitimately pulled ahead of President Trump in all of these states?
Yet, Mike Pence now says nothing happened wrong here, nothing to look at, just move along. Pence insists he did not have the constitutional authority to wait and gather information for 10 days. That is wrong.
Two things. First, If Pence had absolutely no authority, why was he even there to begin with, if he had no authority to act? Second, why now are the likes of Sen. Susan Collins, other RINO Republicans, and Democrats now writing legislation stating that a vice president has no power in the counting of Electoral College votes. They are writing this now, because on Jan. 6, 2021, Mike Pence did have the authority at that time not to accept some of the Electoral College votes!
Seriously, wtf are you smoking?
BWAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!! Trumps fat ass gas emanations......LOLOLOLOLOLOL
Wonder if Pence forgot what he told a Georgia audience on Jan. 4, 2021? In his speech to the Georgians, Pence told the audience that he really has deep concerns on the honesty and reliability of the 2020 election.
Pence told that audience that he felt there were way to many laws broken, way to many election irregularities, and just to many questions to believe for certain that Biden won the election fair and square. Pence said he was not convinced the election 2020 results were what the American people voted for. So on Jan. 4, Pence is fighting the good fight and running the good race. Two days later, Pence folds like...a RINO and Deep State operative. And now in speaking to the Federalist Society, Pence publicly calls out President Trump, says Biden won fair and square, and the Election 2020 was legit.
What should come as no surprise -- because of what we have witnessed the last two years -- is that there is now speculation that Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook, and/or their associates helped to pay for this speech that Pence gave. If true, that would be the very same Zuckerberg/Facebook that gave millions and millions of dollars to "help" with the 2020 election. The very same group that bragged "democracy won" in Molly Ball's Time magazine cover story titled "The Secret History of the Shadow Campaign that Saved the 2020 Election" was instrumental in instituting mail-in balloting, a practice that is illegal in most of the civilized world. To the Scribes and Pharisees at the Federalist Society, did Pence kiss President Trump on the cheek? Wonder what Pence was promised for doing a complete 180 turn against President Trump. Wonder what Pence has been promised by the Deep State in DC. Wonder if Pence can now sit at the "cool table at lunchtime" with Cheney and Kinzinger. Wonder if Pence's children and grandchildren now get to go to Harvard and Yale.
Maybe now, Pence gets to buddy up with Paul Ryan at FOX. Maybe now, Pence gets to have lunch with Joe and Mika. Maybe now, Pence will be a permanent political analyzer for CNN. Maybe now, Pence can co-author editorials with Never-Trumper George Will. Maybe now, Pence can sit on the editorial board of the "Washington Post." Maybe now, Pence makes millions in lobbying for China.
But what won't happen is Mike Pence being the GOP nominee for president...ever. What won't happen is Pence winning the Republican primaries and representing the America First agenda against the progressives in November of 2024. What won't happen is Pence displacing President Trump as leader of the Patriots and MAGA Nation. I'm sure most Hoosiers cannot believe what Pence has just done to America, President Trump, to the election of 2020, and now possibly to the elections of 2022 and 2024.
During the Chicago Black Sox scandal, when it appeared the players had taken a bribe to throw the games, and a weeping young boy asked Shoeless Joe Jackson, "say it ain't so Joe, say it isn't so." We must now ask Pence, "say it ain't so Mike, say it ain't so." Pence is right that the "presidency belongs to the American people", but the American people have good cause to now believe that the election of 2020 did not belong to them. And on Jan. 6, 2021, Mike Pence chose not to be the vice president of the United States
He's been gone since Trump was nominated by the former Republican party.
We remember on soars that he was libertarian Republican? He was a little wary about Bush.
Indy is right about him.

First of all, the democrats filibustered the Civil Rights Act of 1964, and LBJ needed the Republicans to pass the fucking thing. Without the GOP, it doesn't get passed.
Second, The 'Great Society' was the most cynical program established since Social Security. It was created as massive vote-buying scheme, designed specifically to keep minorities and the poor addicted to government programs ad infinitum. And it's what allowed LBJ to declare with a great degree of confidence that he would "keep those ni@@ers voting democrat for the next 200 years."
The votes of people of color and the poor weren't protected alky. They were purchased straight up with a torrent of taxpayer money.
The way you seem to remain in such a feverish re-writing of this period in history is always amusing.
Scott has used similar rhetoric..
Two days later, Pence folds like...a RINO and Deep State operative. And now in speaking to the Federalist Society, Pence publicly calls out President Trump, says Biden won fair and square, and the Election 2020 was legit.
Because on January 6th he declared it was not an Insurrection.

A giant donut-shaped machine just proved a near-limitless clean power source is possible
By Danya Gainor and Angela Dewan, CNN
Updated Feb 9, 2022
(CNN) - There's no silver bullet to the climate crisis, but nuclear fusion may be the closest thing to it. In the quest for a near-limitless, zero-carbon source of reliable power, scientists have generated fusion energy before, but they have struggled for decades to sustain it for very long.
On Wednesday, however, scientists working in the United Kingdom announced that they more than doubled the previous record for generating and sustaining nuclear fusion, which is the same process that allows the sun and stars to shine so brightly.
Nuclear fusion is, as its name suggests, the fusing of two or more atoms into one larger one, a process that unleashes a tremendous amount of energy as heat.
Nuclear power used today is created by a different process, called fission, which relies on splitting, rather than fusing, atoms. But that process creates waste that can remain radioactive for tens of thousands of years. It's also potentially hazardous in the event of an accident, such as Japan's 2011 Fukushima disaster, triggered by an earthquake and tsunami.
Fusion, on the other hand, is much safer, can produce little waste and requires only small amounts of abundant, naturally-sourced fuel, including elements extracted from seawater. This makes it an attractive option as the world transitions away from the fossil fuels driving climate change.
In a giant donut-shaped machine known as a tokamak, scientists near the English city of Oxford were able to generate a record-breaking 59 megajoules of sustained fusion energy over five seconds.
To achieve that, scientists had to raise the heat in the machine to a temperature 10 times hotter than the center of the sun, and apply huge amounts of pressure to allow fusion to occur.
The potential for fusion energy is enormous. The JET experiment used the elements deuterium and tritium -- which are isotopes of hydrogen -- to fuel the fusion. Those elements can be found in seawater.
"The energy you can get out of the fuel deuterium and tritium is massive. For example, powering the whole of current UK electrical demand for a day would require 0.5 tonnes of deuterium, which could be extracted from seawater -- where its concentration is low but plentiful -- from about 3,000 tonnes of seawater per day," Tony Roulstone from the University of Cambridge's Department of Engineering told CNN.
He said the fusion generated by JET was around the same as a wind turbine, and could power one house's energy for a day.
"But if generated repeatedly, it could power thousands of houses."
Experts say the results prove that nuclear fusion is possible, and no longer a pipedream solution for the climate crisis.
"These landmark results have taken us a huge step closer to conquering one of the biggest scientific and engineering challenges of them all," said Ian Chapman, CEO of the UK Atomic Energy Authority, which led the research in partnership with EUROfusion, a consortium that includes 4,800 experts, students and staff from across Europe. The project is also funded by the European Commission.
Mark Wenman, a nuclear materials researcher at Imperial College London, said in a statement that the experiment's results are "exciting," and that they show "fusion energy really is no longer just a dream of the far future -- the engineering to make it a useful, clean power source is achievable and happening now."
The tokamak in Oxford, called the Joint European Torus (JET), has been subject to such extreme heat and pressure that this experiment is likely the last it will cope with.
But its results are seen as a huge boon for ITER, a fusion megaproject in the south of France supported by the US, China, the European Union, India, Japan, Korea and Russia.
ITER's aim is to produce a tenfold return on energy, or 500 MW of fusion power from 50 MW of fuel put in.
While the results are promising, mastering nuclear fusion as an everyday energy source is still likely a long way off.
"The JET results are impressive and probably will get better as they proceed through their experiments. They are producing high power 12 MW, but right now just for five seconds. Much longer fusion burn is what is required," Roulstone said.
The most recent report from Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) on the latest science shows that the world must nearly halve its greenhouse gas emissions this decade and reach zero net emissions by 2050 to keep global warming in check. That means making a rapid transition away from fossil fuels, like coal, oil and gas.
Those actions are required to have any hope of containing warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels, seen as a threshold to substantially worsening climate impacts, according to the IPCC.

Trump could distract GOP from Biden attacks
Yet again, the GOP is being dragged into internal recriminations and down an extreme road that could lead to violence and fresh assaults on democracy by the demagoguery, loyalty demands and obsessions of the ex-President.
The RNC's whitewashing of the true nature of the insurrection is typical of the cult-like subservience many in the party still show to Trump. It made clear that the price of entry to the 2022 campaign for Republicans is now not just acceptance of Trump's stolen election delusions but a willingness to deny the truth of the worst attack on democracy in modern American history.
But such radicalism threatens to turn the midterm campaign into yet another public therapy session for the ex-President, who still cannot accept his 2020 election defeat. It will not be lost on McConnell that Trump's post-election tantrum helped cost the party two US Senate seats in Georgia runoff elections that would have made him majority leader.
This time, Trump's fury threatens to drown out the searing attacks planned on Biden's presidency by Republican strategists and remind critical suburban voters why they soured on the GOP during Trump's presidency.
McConnell's strategy
The clarity of McConnell's language, which is rare in a party afraid to contradict Trump, deserves credit. It reflects his mastery of the conference and confidence he faces no internal threats, despite the ex-President's multiple attempts to incite a revolt against him in the Senate.

Republicans Can’t Decide Whether to Celebrate Trump’s Coup Plot or Ignore It
By Jonathan Chait
The Republican Party is embroiled in a minor internal tiff over three words: “legitimate political discourse.” The awkward coinage appeared in a Republican National Committee resolution censuring Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger for investigating Donald Trump’s efforts to negate the election results. RNC chair Ronna McDaniel is furious with the news media for highlighting those words out of what she regards as proper context. Many Republican officials are furious at McDaniel for passing the resolution in the first place.
The dispute offers a revealing window into the state of the party’s internal deliberations over Trump’s coup plot.
Begin with McDaniel. The resolution condemned Cheney and Kinzinger for participating in “Democrat-led persecution of ordinary citizens engaged in legitimate political discourse,” a reference to the January 6 committee. The New York Times highlighted the anodyne description, which appeared to describe the violent assault on the Capitol.
If people like Ch, step away from Trump, we could avoid violence against the Constitution and again the Capitol building.

The Republican National Committee’s censure of Reps. Liz Cheney (R-WY) and Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) — which included the statement that the Capitol riots were “legitimate political discourse” — was so over the top that even Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) felt the need to condemn it.
This follows former Vice President Mike Pence’s statement last week that Donald Trump was “wrong” that Pence could have overturned the election.
Considering the events of the last year, this seems like progress. Both GOP leaders acknowledged that Trump lost the election and that the violence on January 6 was wrong. McConnell even called it an insurrection.
But as much as the Republican party suffers from leadership problem — and House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) running away from reporters yesterday proves it still does — the GOP actually has a much bigger followership problem.
The overwhelming majority of Republican voters continue to back Trump’s Big Lie about the last election and even want him to run for president again in 2024.
A significant number of them like rrb
even think political violence is justified.
So while the statements from McConnell and Pence offer a glimmer of hope for those standing up for democracy, it’s not clear that enough Republican voters will actually follow them.
Ch listen to McConnell...and Mike Pence

US Covid-19 hospitalizations drop below 100,000 for the first time in more than a month, HHS data shows
From CNN's Deidre McPhillips
The number of hospital beds in use for patients with Covid-19 has dropped below 100,000 for the first time in more than a month, according to data from the US Department of Health and Human Services.
There are 99,925 current Covid-19 hospitalizations, which is a 38% drop from the peak of more than 160,000 from about three weeks ago.
Overall, about one in seven inpatient beds are currently in use for Covid-19. There are about 18,000 Covid-19 patients in intensive care units around the country, according to HHS data.
Hospitalization rates are highest right now in West Virginia, Kentucky and Alabama – each with more than 50 Covid-19 hospitalizations for every 100,000 residents. They’re lowest in Vermont and New Hampshire, each with less than 15 hospitalizations for every 100,000 residents.
In December, hospitalization rates were 16 times higher among unvaccinated adults than they were among fully vaccinated adults, according to data from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Among seniors age 65 and older, hospitalization rates were 51 times higher among the unvaccinated than among those who were fully vaccinated and boosted.
Since the start of the pandemic, nearly 4.4 million people have been hospitalized with Covid-19, according to CDC data. In the first week of February, there were about 13,000 new Covid-19 admissions each day.

Cheney’s Challenger Can’t Say Who Won In 2020
February 9, 2022 at 10:45 am EST By Taegan Goddard Leave a Comment
Harriet Hageman (R), who is challenging Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) in a Republican primary, told the New York Times she didn’t know who the legitimate winner of the 2020 election was (“I don’t know the answer”) and couldn’t say if former Vice President Mike Pence had the authority to block congressional certification of President Biden’s election (“I’m not an elections attorney”).
Said Hageman:
“I wasn’t there on Jan. 6. I can’t tell you everything Pence did or didn’t do. What you need to understand is that, for most people out in the real world, none of us really care that much about what happened on Jan. 6.”
__________
Oh REALLY? I thought a lot of us out here in the real world very much care about whether it was, or was not, insurrection.
Hey, self identified female Roger, is your she-male kiddo helping your tran?

IGNORE K-DIM'S STUPIDITIES.
The freefall of President Joe Biden’s job approval rating continued this week, dropping to 38 percent over the past month.
Surveying 1,355 adults between February 2-4, the IBD/TIPP poll found the president’s job approval rating stood at 38 percent with a disapproval rating of 48 percent of adults, with another 14 percent undecided. The presidential leadership index, which tracks how the president is “viewed when it comes to leading the country,” put the president’s approval at 44.4 percent.
“The index includes questions on presidential job approval, favorability measures of the president’s handling of domestic and foreign policy issues, and whether the president is providing strong or weak leadership,” noted IBD.

American Greatness is getting crazier every day. They actually believe that the Democratic party advocates Communist China and Russia and again in Cuba and Venezuela.....
Even the most objective on the Left would have a hard time showing the empirical data to make any communist country look successful—not the USSR, not Cuba or Venezuela, or whatever it is the Chinese Communist Party is trying to pull off. As much fun as it is for the Left to sing along with the Utopian lyrics of John Lennon’s “Imagine,” the truth is the whole Nirvana thing never really works out. In fact, it always goes in quite the opposite direction. While it sounds just wonderful that everyone shares everything equally, those pesky elitists pushing all this bunk never quite let you get there. Think Charlie Brown, Lucy, football.
Somehow, in every historical case (Venezuela comes to mind), those pushing the derivatives of equity and equality always seem to grab an outsized share of the action.
They actually believe that.

The Department of Homeland Security issued a Bulletin on Tuesday that sounds precisely like a prelude to a totalitarian crackdown on political dissent from the preferred narratives of the Biden regime and the deep state. Read the opening of the summary:
The United States remains in a heightened threat environment fueled by several factors, including an online environment filled with false or misleading narratives and conspiracy theories, and other forms of mis- dis- and mal-information (MDM) introduced and/or amplified by foreign and domestic threat actors. These threat actors seek to exacerbate societal friction to sow discord and undermine public trust in government institutions to encourage unrest, which could potentially inspire acts of violence.
Translation: criticize us and you are encouraging terrorism. The obvious corollary is that you, who dare disagree with the regime, are a terroristic threat.

The full directive:
The United States remains in a heightened threat environment fueled by several factors, including an online environment filled with false or misleading narratives and conspiracy theories, and other forms of mis- dis- and mal-information (MDM) introduced and/or amplified by foreign and domestic threat actors. These threat actors seek to exacerbate societal friction to sow discord and undermine public trust in government institutions to encourage unrest, which could potentially inspire acts of violence. Mass casualty attacks and other acts of targeted violence conducted by lone offenders and small groups acting in furtherance of ideological beliefs and/or personal grievances pose an ongoing threat to the nation. While the conditions underlying the heightened threat landscape have not significantly changed over the last year, the convergence of the following factors has increased the volatility, unpredictability, and complexity of the threat environment: (1) (2) continued calls for violence directed at U.S. critical infrastructure; soft targets and mass gatherings; faith-based institutions, such as churches, synagogues, and mosques; institutions of higher education; racial and religious minorities; government facilities and personnel, including law enforcement and the military; the media; and perceived ideological opponents; and (3) calls by foreign terrorist organizations for attacks on the United States based on recent events.

THWAP!!!
Your tax dollars at work.
There’s plenty more within the document, and it’s worth a quick review, if only to better understand how feeble-minded leftists work. For example, the first bullet point within the “key factors” section of the document says: “There is widespread online proliferation of false or misleading narratives regarding unsubstantiated widespread election fraud and COVID-19. Grievances associated with these themes inspired violent extremist attacks during 2021.”
So if you’re not convinced that ol’ Basement Joe Biden got all 81 million of those votes on the up-and-up, and if you think all these COVID restrictions have become less and less about public health and more and more about power and control, well, you’re a threat.
But it’s not just you, and not just the rest of our loyal readership. Apparently, Texas Republican Congressman Troy Nehls is also a threat. Nehls has been a vocal critic of Nancy Pelosi’s sham J6 Committee, otherwise known as the Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th Attack on the United States Capitol, and he put out a press release Tuesday saying that “a USCP officer entered his office and took a photo of private congressional material protected by the Speech and Debate Clause, Article I Section 6 of the U.S. Constitution.”
“Quite honestly, I’m being targeted right now,” Nehls told Fox News’s Tucker Carlson Tuesday night. “And I believe that Nancy Pelosi is weaponizing the U.S. Capitol Police to investigate me, to try to silence me, intimidate me, and quite honestly, to destroy me.”
Nehls has asked the Capitol Police Inspector General to conduct a formal investigation into the incident, and his request has been accepted. “Capitol Police leadership have put a target on my back,” he says, “but my work in exposing the security failures on January 6th, the death of Ms. [Ashli] Babbitt, and the sham investigation into the events of January 6th will not be deterred.”
Elsewhere, several Republicans have signed a letter to Pelosi and House Administration Chairwoman Zoe Lofgren calling on them to investigate the reports of Capitol Police “monitoring” lawmakers and citizens. “If these reports are true,” said Arizona Congressman Andy Biggs, “that the Capitol Police force is actively looking for and reviewing private information, then this is a gross violation of American civil liberties and an abuse of power.”
If all this Democrat focus on weaponizing government to attack political opponents weren’t such a threat to our constitutional order and our system of checks and balances, it’d be a real hoot.

The GOP Has No Standards Now
February 9, 2022 at 12:30 pm EST By Taegan Goddard 12 Comments
John Dickerson:
"There is no formal application for the presidency. If there were, it might contain a few prescreening questions to bounce the obviously unqualified.
*Is the applicant 35 years of age or older?
*Were they born in the United States?
*Have they ever tried to overthrow a lawful presidential election?
If a candidate said no to the first two questions or yes to the third, their application would not proceed to the bin for further review. HR would send a note thanking them for their interest.
“The first two questions are constitutional requirements.
The third is not a constitutional requirement, but an implicit one:
Shredding the Constitution should disqualify anyone applying for a job protecting the Constitution.
School-bus operators are not picked from a pool of drivers with a history of high-speed, child-imperiling joyrides.
Museum guards are not selected from the ranks of art thieves.
“This is obvious.
But not to the Republican Party.
The 2024 GOP presidential nominee will either be Donald Trump, who tried to overthrow the results of the 2020 presidential election,
or it will be someone who passes the current purity test:
agreeing to overlook the fact that Trump tried to overthrow an election.”
Bonus Quote of the Day
A LYING STATEMENT FROM THE PRINCE OF LIARS:
“Mitch McConnell does not speak for the Republican Party, and does not represent the views of the vast majority of its voters. He did nothing to fight for his constituents and stop the most fraudulent election in American history.”
— Donald Trump, in a statement.
LMAO:
President Biden is being put in a difficult spot on COVID-19 — and this time he can thank Democratic-led states for the conundrum.
Four states, all of which have Democratic governors, have announced in recent days that they are going to lift mask mandates for schools. Separately, deep-blue California is going to end its policy of requiring vaccinated people to mask while indoors next week.
But the Biden administration has promised to follow the guidance of scientists, specifically those at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The CDC has not yet issued any change to its guidance on masking.
That leaves Biden in a bind.
The White House risks looking overly cautious on restrictions if it sticks with the status quo — a dangerous political position in a nation that has grown frustrated and restless after two years of pandemic restrictions.
On the other hand, the White House doesn’t want to sound an all-clear that turns out to be premature.
It knows how dangerous that can be.

"Mitch McConnell does not speak for the Republican Party, and does not represent the views of the vast majority of its voters.
He did nothing to fight for his constituents and stop the most fraudulent election in American history. And he does nothing to stop the lawless Biden Administration, the invasion of our Borders, rising Inflation, Unconstitutional mandates, the persecution of political opponents, fact finding on the incompentent Afghanistan withdrawal, the giving away our energy independence, etc., which is all because of the fraudulent election. Instead, he bails out the Radical Left and the RINOs.
