New Study Finds Lockdowns Did Little to Limit Deaths
“Researchers at Johns Hopkins University have concluded that lockdowns have done little to reduce COVID deaths but have had ‘devastating effects’ on economies and numerous social ills,” WUSF reports.
Unless the left wants to paint John Hopkins as some sort of right wing conspiracy group, this looks to confirm much of what many of us have speculated all along. There was never really any good medical or scientifc reason to lock people down. It was generally power hungry politicians who demanded all of this.

You don't understand how science works.
At the time when it first appeared it looked like shutdowns would help.
But as time passes, people learned that it is not as effective as they thought.
But you believe that they knew this from the beginning and used them to make the Orange county look bad.

He's not sane, it's not easy to see it
There was a bad orange man to get rid of and an election to steal. One need not be fucking Einstein to see and use the Chinese Sneeze to accomplish both goals.
Those medical professionals who chose to deal with covid as it was, a threat to the elderly and those with multiple comorbidities, never saw any value to locking down a $23 TRILLION economy. The left LIED through every day of it and continue to lie with their 'record new jobs created' blatant bullshit.
One day volumes will be written about just how ghoulish the left was through all of this, they people they killed (thanks Andrew Cuomo) and the other irreparable harm they caused.
All because of the irrational hatred of one man.

And you would've been a member of the KLAN, right at home with brutalizing black women and calling black NEGROES.
This is what the scientists said in 2020
It’s now clear that so many people have died, and so many more are desperately ill, simply because our politicians refused to listen to and act on advice. Scientists like us said lock down earlier; we said test, trace, isolate. But they decided they not to believe
Am I being unfair? The government assures us that its decisions and timing are based on science, as if it is a neutral, value-free process resulting in a specific set of instructions. In reality, the science around coronavirus is in its infancy and developing daily, with researchers across the world trying to understand how the virus spreads, how the body responds – and how to treat it and control it. The speed at which our knowledge has increased is impressive, from the sequencing of the virus in January through to having candidate vaccines in early February.
Mathematical models are being refined to predict the extent and speed of spread and estimate the impact of control methods. My own group is studying the response of communities, showing how the epidemic is amplifying existing social inequalities. People with the lowest household income are far less likely, but no less willing, to be able to work from home or to self-isolate.
But while scientists carry out observations and experiments, testing, iterating and discovering new knowledge, it is the role of policymakers to act on the best available evidence.
It wasn't many years ago that we didn't understand the time and speed are related.

This might be the end of the Republican party
NEW YORK — In the high-stakes fight for the GOP’s future, Rep. Adam Kinzinger, R-Ill., is calling on Democrats and independents to form an “uneasy alliance” with Republicans to fight former President Donald Trump’s influence.
Kinzinger, one of Trump’s fiercest Republican critics in Congress, has directed his political organization to initiate a novel campaign to convince non-Republicans to support anti-Trump Republican candidates in GOP primary contests across the country later this year. Experts suggest the practice, sometimes known as “party raiding,” will be hard to execute on a broad scale, but Kinzinger warned that failure to shift the GOP’s embrace of Trump could undermine democracy or even a lead to “failed state.”
Alky, you are always so freaking ass wrong.

Now try to tell us that you yourself, Ch, from the very first, did not do all you could to play down the seriousness of the virus and make fun of those who said we should be very concerned about it.
Many who lost loved ones wish now they had never listened to people like you.
Like Trump, you were always more concerened with the political advantages you hope to gain than you were with people's health and lives.
Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ) and Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) have reportedly taken in massive fundraising numbers while rejecting key components of their party’s far-left agenda.
Sinema saw her best fundraising quarter since being elected in the last quarter of 2021. Though a report from Politico claimed that Sinema’s grassroots donors are starting to disappear, the senator raked in nearly $1.6 million in the last three months of 2021.
Politico’s analysis of her fundraising haul shows that only two percent of the contributions, approximately $34,000, came from small-dollar donors, meaning that the bulk of the money came from corporate PACs and big-dollar donations of over $200.
The news organization noted that the drop in small-dollar donations correlates with her obstruction of President Joe Biden and Democrats’ far-left agenda. Although the senator caucuses with Democrats, she has publicly rejected portions of their agenda, such as using reconciliation for policy changes like raising the minimum wage, increasing any tax levels, and, most recently, changing the filibuster rule.
Manchin also saw his best fourth-quarter fundraising last year, according to CNBC. An analysis of Manchin’s October to December fundraising in 2021 showed that the senator raised just over $1.5 million, ending with over $6 million cash on hand. A campaign finance expert claimed the $1.5 million was the most the senator has ever raised in a fourth quarter, by nearly $1.4 million.

RRB: It was DEMOCRATS who politicized the shit out of covid......
No, it TRUMP who politicized Covid beyond anything that even Cuomo did, not listening to his own scientists and embarrassing them repeatedly with his desire to pander to what people wanted to hear rather than what they needed to hear, and even went so far as to lie about the seriousness of the virus, saying it was little more than like a mild form of the flu and would soon go away like magic and promising we would be down to near zero cases within a very few days ... and then MUCH LATER Trump did an about face and tried to claim he had known all along it was a serious pandemic because the virus was airborne, but didn't want to say so because people would panic.
(Better scared than dead?)
Fauci and Birx were constantly being undercut by Trump and if they had not practically tackled him to keep him from "packing the churches" the first East of the pandemic, he would have done that, with horrendous death tolls. ("Mr. President, people will DIE!" Faucci told him.)
With Trump it was always Trump, Trump, Trump foremost in all things, not the good of the American people.
Even now, he only wants to MAKE TRUMP GREAT AGAIN.
But the American people are not going to let that happen.

Could an Iran Deal Sway the Next Election?
February 2, 2022 at 3:00 pm EST By Taegan Goddard 53 Comments
Jonathan Bernstein: “So my guess is that as long as war doesn’t break out with Iran, President Joe Biden will be neither helped nor hurt by whatever happens.
“That said, candidates do talk about foreign affairs during campaigns, whether or not voters pay attention. If the U.S. does re-enter the nuclear deal, Republicans will criticize Biden for that. If it doesn’t, they’ll blame him as Iran grows closer to testing a nuclear weapon. And campaign promises can be very important, whether they change election outcomes or not. Indeed, we’ve seen that twice now on this specific policy question: Donald Trump campaigned against the nuclear deal in 2016 and then withdrew from it, while Biden campaigned on re-entering and has worked toward doing so.”
I would hope that he pardons ALL the participants, awards them each the Presidential Medal of Freedom, and One Million Dollars US for their aggravation.
Nearly, well like Alky having two hot ex-model gf's in his life .
Biden is showing real grit in standing up to Putin and moving us toward the possibility of an agreement Iran.
Even Trump was at one point considering taking up a nuclear disarmament deal with Iran, but abandoned it when he realized that the best he could do was what Obama and our allies had already worked out.
Iran is much closer to a nuclear weapon now than they would have been if Trump had not backed out of the agreement, but meanwhile our allies have kept up the pressure and it is possible that even the less receptive powers who are now in charge of Iran will bow to pressure from their own people and seek a reduction in sanctions in exchange for a new understanding.
Biden is doing a good job of hanging tough with Putin and in even opening up the possibility that Iran may be willing to get back into a deal.
Even Trump once considered reinstating the nuclear deal with Iran, but backed away when he realized hat the best he could do was something similar to what Obama had already done.
Meanwhile our allies have remained steadfast with Iran, and it is possible that a new deal could be made even with the less receptive Iranian regime now in charge, who may want to bow to pressure from their own people in order to get a reduction in sanctions and a better standing in the world community.
As for Biden, in spite of the mess withdrawing from Afghanistan, he has real negotiating skills and knows how to operate on the international level.

Army to immediately start discharging vaccine refusers
By LOLITA C. BALDOR2 hours ago
WASHINGTON (AP) — The Army said Wednesday it will immediately begin discharging soldiers who have refused to get the mandatory COVID-19 vaccine, putting more than 3,300 service members at risk of being thrown out soon.
The Army’s announcement makes it the final military service to lay out its discharge policy for vaccine refusers. The Marine Corps, Air Force and Navy have already discharged active-duty troops or entry-level personnel at boot camps for refusing the shots. So far, the Army has not discharged any.
According to data released by the Army last week, more than 3,300 soldiers have refused to get the vaccine. The Army has said that more than 3,000 soldiers have been issued official written reprimands, which suggests they are already identified in the disciplinary process, and some of them could be among the first to be discharged.
They are doing this because they have TDS according to Scott.
As for Biden, in spite of the mess withdrawing from Afghanistan, he has real negotiating skills and knows how to operate on the international level.

Word salad.
Here's something we've noticed you may have noticed it too. All of a sudden, pretty much every powerful person in the country is talking about something called democracy. Democracy, our sacred democracy. You hear that word everywhere, from the Atlantic to NPR to the New Yorker magazine and NBC News in between. Democracy defines the year 2022 the way that groovy defined 1968. All the cool kids are saying it.
Liz Cheney has decided her life's mission is now to defend democracy. Jim Acosta has a new CNN show in which he uses the word democracy the way some people use prepositions - in every sentence. Tomorrow, at 2:00 p.m. Eastern, there's a Zoom webinar on Democracy, which you're welcome to attend, in case you haven't heard enough about it already. Every left-of-center midwit on Twitter will be there. All of them will be fretting about the future of democracy. Pretty amusing.
It's easy to make fun of an event like that. And of course, you have a moral obligation to. David Frum bloviating about democracy. Insert joke here. But actually, if we're being honest about it, you should be a little worried about the state of our democracy, how is our democracy doing?
Well, let's see: Another way to describe democracy is popular representation. It's a synonym. When the government does what citizens want it to do, you have a democracy. And when it doesn't, you don't. You no longer have a free country that is ruled by its people.
So what kind of system do we have? It's easy to know. You find out what citizens care about and then you compare those concerns to what the people who run the government say they care about. If you've got a functioning democracy, there should be a fairly precise overlap. In a democratic system, leaders try very hard to speak for their voters. That's the whole point of the government.
So let's apply that test to the United States of America. What do our leaders care about? We know the answer because they tell us constantly. Our leaders care about equity and climate change. They care about trans rights, police brutality, the deadly insurrection on January 6th, mandatory vaccinations, more H1B visas for Indian tech workers and above all, at the moment, defending our closest ally, Ukraine, from Russian aggression. And of course, they care about third-wave academic feminism. That's deeply important to them.
Word salad 2
The most famous Democrat in Congress gave us an impromptu tutorial in Instagram about the connection between cosmetics and the patriarchy.
ALEXANDRIA OCASIO-CORTEZ: There are studies that show that women who wear makeup regularly wear like a, a decent amount of makeup kind of show up to the office and glam also make more money. And so at that point, it stops being these calculations and decisions stop being about choice and they start being about patriarchy. … We live in systems that were largely built for the convenience of men and oftentimes were designed with the subjugation of women and queer people in mind.
Give that lady an MSNBC show. Sorry, Mika. I wear makeup because I'm oppressed. Me, me, me, me, me. Now the shorthand description of that is narcissism, which in the end is the defining concern of our leaders. Above all, they're interested in themselves.
If you work in the media or have multiple college degrees, chances are you're pretty good at making it all about you. You is what you care about most. What does the rest of America care about? Once again, we don't have to guess about that. We've got a huge amount of public opinion polling on that subject.
At the top of the list, you'll see government incompetence, the economy, the cost of living and immigration. Well, that's weird. It is completely different from the list Joe Biden might have made. Equity, climate change, transgenderism mandatory vaccination, Jan. 6, Ukraine. Those trends be pretty unimportant to most Americans. Some of those issues or at the very bottom of the list.
But how can that be? If global climate change is the most imminent existential crisis of our time, then why don't voters seem concerned about it? We don't know, but they're definitely not concerned about it. Instead, Americans are very worried about inflation and crime. As it happens, and this tells you everything, those are the two topics the White House has dismissed recently as irrelevant and dumb. The White House isn't at all worried about inflation and crime.
Hmm, that doesn't sound like democracy. Here's the White House press secretary taking some time off from her junior year in Oberlin to speak to her fellow undergrads at something called Pod Save America about how rising crime rates are actually an invention of those racists at Fox News.
JEN PSAKI: Right now, just to give you a sense of CNN Pentagon, as many as eighty-five hundred U.S. troops on heightened alert. OK, true statement MSNBC CNBC is doing their own thing about the market. And then on Fox, is Jeanine Pirro talking about soft on crime consequences? I mean, what? What does that even mean? Right? So there's an alternate universe on some coverage. What's scary about it is a lot of people watch that and they they think that the president isn't doing anything to address people's safety.
So what do your kids getting shot have to do with Ukraine? Nothing, Dumbo. You're living in an alternate universe. That's Jen Psaki position. You have to be delusional to think crime was a problem in this country, unless you happen to be in Georgetown last night, around 6:45 p.m.
If you were there, you may have seen a man shot to death outside Georgetown cupcakes. That's just off M Street. And the funny thing is, that's not too far from where Jen Psaki lives. But did Jen Psaki acknowledge that happened? Of course, she didn't. Noticing the collapse of our civilization is racist, even when it's happening just down the street. Look away, Jen Psaki. Look away.
And whatever you do, don't go to Baltimore. Baltimore is a major American city. It's only about 40 miles from where Jen Psaki lives. It's one of the worst places in the western hemisphere. It's a little bit of Haiti in the mid-Atlantic. Baltimore is exactly what happens when you appliy
Jen Psaki's for that, Black people don't want laws to be enforced. That's her view, that's the view of everyone she knows. But what did policies like that do the Baltimore? Well, they turned a once beautiful city into a slum. According to a report by Fox 45 in Baltimore, public school administrators have instructed the police to stop arresting students for committing crimes. And that would include serious offenses from burglary to assault. So the cops did stop arresting kids. The number of students arrested in Baltimore schools has dropped by 98% in the last decade. That's good on paper.
But it turns out ignoring crime is not the same as stopping crime. Schools in Baltimore got so bad that kids stopped learning anything. Watch this report and ask yourself: What is Baltimore going to look like in 20 years?
REPORTER: In reading 628, Paterson High School students took the test 484 of them, or 77%, tested at an elementary school reading level that includes 71 high school students who are reading at a kindergarten level and 88 students reading at a first grade level. Another 45 are reading at a second grade level. Just 12 students tested at Paterson High School were reading at grade level. That comes out to less than two percent.
So, the kids can't read, they're illiterate, what is their future look like? What does Baltimore's future look like? What does the country's future look like? How are they going to participate in our society?
You wouldn't know any of this was happening by looking at the official graduation numbers, because last year Baltimore announced that students will graduate from high school even if they failed their courses.
Baltimore’s so-called chief academic officer - that would be Harvard educated bureaucrat called Joan Dabrowski - announced that this policy was designed to quote "Avoid the punitive approach of failing students." OK. But somebody is failing students in Baltimore. Somebody, in fact, is failing the entire city, and you have to ask yourself, who would that be?
You'd like to ask Jen Psaki, Who do you blame for Baltimore? Did White men do this to Baltimore? Was it the patriarchy? Was it structural racism that caused all those murders? Do you agree with Pete Buttigieg that Klansman urban planners put the highways in the wrong place? And that's the real problem. Racist roads?
Or, could it be that the real problem with Baltimore is something much more obvious? Could it be that progressive policies designed to "lift up marginalized communities" in the end destroyed those communities? What's the answer, Jen Psaki?
In a functioning democracy, people like Jen Psaki would have to tell us the answer, they would be required to live in Baltimore until they learn something, just as the people who wrecked Afghanistan probably ought to explain what they've learned before they move on to Ukraine and Russia, that ought to be a requirement.
And in fact, honestly, you'd think that people like this would welcome a chance to reflect on what they've done. They have screwed up very badly. They've hurt the weakest among us. For Christians, that's the greatest sin. But these people aren't Christians. They worship only themselves, so they turn away.
You can bet money that Jen Psaki rarely goes to Baltimore, it's just too depressing. And it raises too many questions. Instead, Jen Psaki and her friends are planning their fun little summer trips to Bozeman or Martha's Vineyard or East Hampton, or some of the remote and blindingly White outpost of privilege.
Funny how that works. You wreck stuff and then you ignore it. This allows you to wreck more stuff without feeling guilty. That's modern progressivism distilled to 18 words.

Time to end the witch hunt obsession with Donald Trump
By Gerald McGlothlin
The only thing that's more tiring than the COVID-19 obsession is the ongoing witch hunt obsession with Donald Trump.
President Clinton gave U.S. technology and advanced military weapons know-how to China, but no one is obsessing over hunting him down to finish him off.
Obama put critical U.S. assets off-limits, such as low-pollution coal, to send business to his old home in Indonesia. Yet no one calls a search party to apprehend him for declaring U.S. coal reserve areas "historic sites."
So why on Earth is there a nearly psychotic obsession with destroying Donald Trump and his family? Is the left that afraid that it may not have a candidate who can compete in 2024 for the miserable Oval Office job of trying to undo all the damage Biden did during his term?

The incredible shrinking presidency...
Why does Trump himself seem to gravitate toward violence and destruction?
Destructiveness is a core characteristic of mental pathology, whether directed toward the self or others. First, I wish to clarify that those with mental illness are, as a group, no more dangerous than those without mental illness. When mental pathology is accompanied by criminal-mindedness, however, the combination can make individuals far more dangerous than either alone.
In my textbook on violence, I emphasize the symbolic nature of violence and how it is a life impulse gone awry. Briefly, if one cannot have love, one resorts to respect. And when respect is unavailable, one resorts to fear. Trump is now living through an intolerable loss of respect: rejection by a nation in his election defeat. Violence helps compensate for feelings of powerlessness, inadequacy and lack of real productivity.

When Oath Keepers founder Stewart Rhodes first had a detention hearing following his seditious conspiracy indictment, his estranged wife Tasha Adams felt certain that he would be locked up and kept away from her and their six children.
Then, Adams noticed an alarming report in Politico report suggesting that a federal judge appeared ready to let her ex loose.
“I got a little panicked,” Adams told Law&Crime in an interview with Law&Crime’s podcast “Objections.” “I really thought it was a done deal. Like, I didn’t not expect any chance of bail whatsoever.”
“Our Life Evolved Around Him Escaping”
On Jan. 13, 2022, federal authorities finally arrested Rhodes more than a year after the Jan. 6, 2021 attack on the U.S. Capitol. Prosecutors previously had thinly veiled his name in court documents in the Oath Keepers conspiracy docket as “Person One,” and Rhodes’s defense team made that delay a central counterpoint in favor of his release. They argued that prosecutors could not consider him a dangerous threat to the republic, on the one hand, and allow him keep his freedom for a full calendar year during a public investigation, on the other.
As Politico reported, that appeared to resonate with U.S. Magistrate Judge Kimberly Priest Johnson—at least, that was until Adams picked up her phone and dialed the judge’s chambers.
“I just really thought, ‘I don’t know if this message is going to get through,’ and then, before I can even punch in one number for the U.S. Attorney, they called me right back,” Adams recalled. “The judge said, ‘We are reconvening within 10 minutes.’ We had multiple attorneys on the phone, and I was a little shocked. But I mean, this was our life.”
Whether on not her words were the deciding factor, Adams made a clear impact in a 17-page ruling keeping her estranged husband in jail.
“Ms. Adams testified that she fears for her safety and the safety of her six children should defendant be released,” the judge wrote in a Jan. 26 ruling. “Ms. Adams testified that throughout their marriage, Defendant would often brandish firearms in the family home to control her behavior and that Defendant would physically abuse his children under the guise of participating in ‘martial arts practice.'”
Telling the judge that Rhodes obsessed about being “picked up by the feds,” Adams testified that he would create “elaborate escape tunnels.” She elaborated on this during the interview with Law&Crime’s podcast “Objections: with Adam Klasfeld,” claiming that Rhodes worried about being arrested in connection with the standoff at the Bundy ranch years before the attack on the U.S. Capitol.
“Our life revolved around him escaping. ‘One day, if the feds ever came in,’ and this was our life for years. It’s all he talked about. You know, I always thought it was silly. You know, it always seemed ridiculous. But then as he got further and further into the Oath Keepers he was creating it as a reality, that it might actually happen,” Adams said.
In an extraordinary interview, Adams detailed her allegations of physical abuse, the history of the Oath Keepers, and her fears that Rhodes may harm her children and become a “Brownshirt” acting as an “unseen arm” of former President Donald Trump, if released.
You believe that civil rights demonstrations in regards to the murder of George Floyd, are equally as dangerous to the United States of America.
The underlying racism is undeniable.
If he had pardoned the Insurrectionists.
If you had raped your daughter...
Science is based upon further studies and research into the effects. This is an opinion, not scientific research.
Results are not opinions Roger.
Science (regardless of what sort of science) is ultimately about evaluating the data and drawing conclusions BASED ON THAT DATA. You cannot "prove" a hypothesis with opinions or peer reviews or some sort of scientific "consensus"... as much as leftist scientists would like to redefine science.
You prove science by DATA and the evaluation of DATA!
Every time there was data that conflicted with the idea that lockdowns and mandates were "good science" - Some researcher put out a study using mannequins or some odd test that supposedly proved otherwise.
Since the beginning of this pandemic, our own conclusions seems to almost never reflect that of the larger worldwide community. Whether it be lockdowns, paper masks, treatments, etc...
The best way to prove if lockdowns and mandates were working was to objectively compare the data between those under lockdown and those who were not under lockdown.
None of the other random tests or experiments can undo what the data shows.
And data and the evaluation of data, Roger... is my area expertise. I got a degree to show as much!
I said earlier:
The Hopkins Study is just too painful for the Socialist to accept.
Roger and his ugly nasty mean spirited fellow traveler Jane's have made my point.
