American pundits and liberal journalists have bent over backward to compare Ukrainians getting bombed and killed during Russia’s ongoing attack to the plight of Americans under Republican rule.
Ukraine has been devastated since Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered the invasion that has resulted in civilian deaths, destruction of cities and over 1.7 million refugees as women and children attempt to flee the war-torn nation. While Ukrainians are fighting for their lives, some pundits have been equating literal war to things such as voting rights and the Jan 6 Capitol riot.
The Atlantic's David Frum appeared on CNN last week and urged President Biden to blame the invasion of Ukraine on Republican ideology. "These events have given the absolute lie to the false and idiotic idea of America First, America alone, our allies are worthless, having friends is not important," Frum said.
Joy Reid said Biden had an opportunity to "take a really solid hit at Republicans for having supported Vladimir Putin," but whiffed on the chance. "He did not mention the January 6 insurrection," Reid added. "If you want to talk about a profound hit to our democracy, there’s nothing more profound than a violent physical attack on the very building he's standing in. That did not make it into the speech, I found that interesting."
The two major problems with this argument are that it is completely out of touch with what the American electorate believes and it becomes more of the same sort of "finger pointing" that Americans are getting very fed up with.
For starters, only 30% of the American public according to recent polling believe that Putin would have invaded Russia if Trump was still President. You cannot play to a third of the country, insult the intelligence of the rest, and hope to gather momentum. There is no "good" argument to make that blames this on the GOP. We have a Democrat in the White House, our Senate and House are both controlled by Democrats. This is on their watch folks.
To add insult to injury here, there is a growing number of Americans wanting solutions rather than rhetoric. Rather than try to solve the problems of the world, it seems liberal are spending their energy trying to point finger, change the narrative, and tweak their "messaging". Any attempt to suggest that Putin invaded Ukraine because of a Riot at the Capital 14 months ago, or that the invasion is due to new election voting laws have been enacted in various US states is preposterous. But yet, that is the argument that liberals are upset Biden did not make at the SOTU.
Ultimately this is all on Biden's shoulders. He is the one the demanded he could stand toe to toe with Putin and that he was the one man whom Putin feared. Obviously Putin is not scared of Biden and I am pretty sure Putin would not cower in fear if our President went out in front of the world and tried to blame the Russian invasion of Ukraine on and American riot ot the new Georgia or Texas election laws.

Liberals upset Biden hasn't tried to blame Ukraine on Jan 6th, voter rights, and the GOP?
MSNBC, CNN, others strain to liken Ukrainian plight to domestic political issues

HERE IS THE LATEST VERSION OF MY PROPOSED LETTER TO THE EDITOR:
As a retired pastor of The Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), I have reluctantly come to the conclusion that some wealthy members of the Republican Party have grossly misled many of our American people into thinking that their version of the GOP is "for" them -- "for the people" -- when actually they are for the selfish wealthy, for the would-be dictatorial autocrats who want to rule our country for profit.
That makes them enemies of our people similar to the oligarchs now ruling Putin's Russia.
I feel so strongly about this that I find myself wishing that, for the sake of future generations to come in our land, all Americans would unite in
absolutely insisting on some sort of a rewording of our pledge of allegiance to make it include words similar to these:
"I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, a nation intended to have government that is of the people, by the people, and for the people" (not of, by, and for the rich!).
That our government is intended to be "of the people, by the people, and for the people" -- for all the people -- those are words that need to be heard,
learned, and repeated forever by the children of our nation.

Up to 4,000 Russian Soldiers Killed In Ukraine
March 8, 2022 at 12:05 pm EST By Taegan Goddard
“U.S. intelligence agencies estimate that between 2,000 and 4,000 Russian soldiers have been killed in the two-week long invasion of Ukraine — possibly more than the number of Americans killed in the 20-year war in Afghanistan,” NBC News reports.
Proud Boys Leader Charged with Conspiracy

Henry “Enrique” Tarrio, a leader of the extremist group the Proud Boys, has been indicted on a conspiracy charge in the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol attack,

Tarrio joins Oath Keeper founder Stewart Rhodes as the two most high-profile individuals charged by the Justice Department in connection with the attack.

How Did This Many Deaths Become Normal?
11:00 am EST
Ed Yong:
“The United States reported more deaths from Covid-19 last Friday than deaths from Hurricane Katrina, more on any two recent weekdays than deaths during the 9/11 terrorist attacks, more last month than deaths from flu in a bad season, and more in two years than deaths from HIV during the four decades of the AIDS epidemic. At least 953,000 Americans have died from Covid, and the true toll is likely even higher because many deaths went uncounted.
“Covid is now the third leading cause of death in the U.S., after only heart disease and cancer, which are both catchall terms for many distinct diseases. The sheer scale of the tragedy strains the moral imagination. On May 24, 2020, as the United States passed 100,000 recorded deaths, The New York Times filled its front page with the names of the dead, describing their loss as ‘incalculable.’ Now the nation hurtles toward a milestone of 1 million. What is 10 times incalculable?”
REGARDING THE THREAD TOPIC.
Tell us, Ch, that Trump
supported NATO.
If you DO tell us that,
you will be lying.
Trump repeatedly made it clear how little regard he had for NATO, and would probably pulled the USA out of NATO if Trump had been reelected.
Tell us, Ch, that Trump did not choose to believe Putin's denial over the reports of our own intelligence agencies that the Russians repeatedly tried to interfere with our elections.
If you DO tell us that, you will be lying, because Trump stood right there beside Putin and said, "I believe him."
Tell us, Ch, that Putin did NOT want Trump to be the next president of the USA. If you DO tell us that, you will be lying, because it it obvious that he wanted Trump to defeat both Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden.
...and would probably have pulled the USA out of NATO if Trump had been reelected.
THIS ARE STUPID

It is amusing that Ch

certain Democratic

the line in some of their comments and then tries to fault Joe Biden for NOT saying in his SOTU the over the line things they said.
Thanks for pointing that out, Ch.

Sorry Reverend...
Am I supposed to feel bad for the 2000-4000 Russians?
Or what is the point?
Shouldn't we be more concerned with how many CIVILIANS have been slaughtered in Ukraine, rather than worry about 2000-4000 Russian soldiers from and Army that has over 2 million in reserve?
I promise you that Putin doesn't care how many Russian Soldiers die in his delusions of grandeur. It could be 20,000 at this point and it wouldn't stop him from sending more. They are probably no more to Putin than those plastic toy soldiers we used to have when we were kids.
Sometimes, Reverend... I have zero clue what the fuck you stand for.
Tell us, Ch, that Trump
supported NATO.
If you DO tell us that,
you will be lying.
Trump told NATO to shit or get off the pot.
There is no NATO when you have 27 countries freeloading expecting one country to have all the military and protect everyone else. Trump simply told the truth that other Presidents were unwilling to do.
And here we are... with countries with a few hundred miles from a Russian invasion wondering what to do? Most of them won't even halt buying their oil from Putin.
So yeah... Trump was supportive of a NATO where all 28 countries lived up the AGREEMENTS that they signed. If you have a problem with that, then that is on you.
One of your heroes has been arrested.
WASHINGTON— Enrique Tarrio, a leader of the Proud Boys, has been indicted on conspiracy and other charges related to the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol, the Justice Department said, alleging he developed plans with other members of the extremist group to storm the building that day.
Mr. Tarrio, 38 years old, was arrested in Miami and was expected to appear in federal court in Florida later Tuesday.
Mr. Tarrio was previously arrested two days before the attack on Jan. 6, 2021, charged in connection with unrest that followed pro-Trump protests in the nation’s capital in December 2020 and ordered to stay outside Washington. He later pleaded guilty to charges stemming from his burning of a Black Lives Matter banner belonging to a historic Black church and possession of two high-capacity firearm magazines.
The Proud Boys, a far-right group, have tried to downplay their role in the Capitol riot. A WSJ investigation shows that at many of the day’s key moments, Proud Boys were at the forefront. Photo illustration: Laura KammermannTHE WALL STREET JOURNAL INTERACTIVE EDITION
Even though he wasn’t present at the Capitol during the riot, federal prosecutors said Mr. Tarrio led the planning for Jan. 6 and continued to direct and encourage the Proud Boys before and during the attack. Mr. Tarrio also claimed credit for what had happened on social media and in an encrypted chat room during and after the attack, prosecutors said.
He is charged in a superseding indictment obtained in another case against other alleged members of the Proud Boys, and faces one count of conspiracy to obstruct an official proceeding and obstruction of an official proceeding, as well as two counts each of assaulting, resisting, or impeding certain officers and destruction of government property, the Justice Department said.

More than three dozen members or affiliates of the Oath Keepers, a right-wing militia group, and the Proud Boys have been arrested in connection with Jan. 6.
Eleven people including Stewart Rhodes, the leader and founder of the Oath Keepers, were indicted in January on charges of seditious conspiracy, marking an escalation of the Justice Department’s investigation.
One of them, a military veteran from Alabama, was the first to plead guilty to that charge last week
That is very easy
to answer, Ch.
We should feel
sorry for both, especially for the totally innocent Ukrainian civilians who have so tragically died, but also for the Russian soldiers, many of whom are saying they were "duped" about this war and who are dying in numbers being kept secret from the people in their homeland.
When they phone home and tell their parents what really is happened, their parents are appalled and often collapse.
Both are victims of the dictator Putin for whom Trump has expressed SO MUCH ADMIRATION.
Have I made myself clear?
Not to your distorted soul, I am sure.
I am glad Trump,
like Obama, got
NATO to PAY more.
But one of Trump's own closest advisors is convinced that Trump was planning to withdraw us from NATO if he got reelected.
You believe that Putin would have invaded Russia if Trump was still President.
He would have invaded Ukraine and he would have not block oil because he is an isolationist and The Russians would have rebuilt the Russian empire..
Scott is a fascist. He admires strong leaders like Putin and Trump.
Tell us, Ch, that Putin did NOT want Trump to be the next president of the USA. If you DO tell us that, you will be lying, because it it obvious that he wanted Trump to defeat both Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden.
Tell us pederast, why did Putin annex Crimea under Obunghole and invade Ukraine under Dementia Joe, but didn’t do anything like that while Trump was President?
You stupid old man
You support Putin and Trump
Because you have lost your mind Scott.
: “Trump’s rise introduced to the Republican Party a figure who shared Putin’s perspective toward Ukraine and often echoed his propaganda. When Putin ginned up demonstrations in eastern Ukraine as a pretext to hive off chunks of land in 2014, Trump gushed, ‘So smart, when you see the riots in a country because they’re hurting the Russians, Okay, we’ll go and take it over… You have to give him a lot of credit.’ After winning the nomination, Trump promised to consider recognizing Putin’s land seizure because ‘the people of Crimea, from what I’ve heard, would rather be with Russia than where they were.'”
“Trump brought on Manafort to run his campaign, which further linked Ukraine’s conflict with Russia to the American domestic struggle. Ukrainians released a ‘black book’ of evidence of secret payments by the previous, pro-Russian regime, which implicated Manafort in an embezzling scandal for which he was eventually convicted. After it hacked Democratic emails and released them to aid Trump’s candidacy, Russia claimed it had been framed by Ukraine. Trump subsequently endorsed this theory.”
I promise you that Putin doesn't care how many Russian Soldiers die in his delusions of grandeur
AND NOT A FUCKING PEEP OUT OF YOU WHEN YOUR HERO CALLED PUTIN A SAVVY GENIUS.....BWAAAAAAAAA!!!!! Your delusion that trump won or was a great leader is tragically laughable and sickening how you don't care about the US!!!! And yes, Obama should have done more....but times evolved into the current state where Putin is being ostracized by many more than when crimea was taken over by occupation....sorry shorty....your logic fails again!!!!

99% of them are against Russia and Putin
People of my age are fighting for Ukraine and you don't fucking care about anyone else but Trump
Obviously Putin is not scared of Biden -- THEN WHY DID HE TRY SO HARD TO GET TRUMP ELECTED?
Well... as SEVERAL investigations concluded, there was no collusion and the only Russian "interference" came from a PR firm that they never tied directly to Putin and bought attack ads against BOTH candidates.
So it's a dumb question because the pretense doesn't exist.
USA BANS RUSSIAN OIL

I am the one who is crazy?
Btw... since the Reverend cannot answer it, perhaps Roger the stable genius can do so? Why was Putin held completely in check while Trump was President but decided to invade Ukraine on Biden's watch?

You actually have forgotten about Putin
He was kept isolated for months after he had been vaccinated, people who have been isolated developed symptoms include his insane invasion into Ukraine.
It probably would have happened even faster before Trump was going to withdraw from NATO.
But rational people like you can't comprehend it
THEN WHY DID HE TRY SO HARD TO GET TRUMP ELECTED?
Putin didn't interfere...
He didn't interfere in 2016 and he didn't interfere in 2020.
You have ZERO EVIDENCE after 5 investigations that Putin every interfered, colluded, or anything else. The only thing that "probably" came from Putin was the fake fucking dossier on Trump.
Which even the FBI has acknowledged was probably Russian disinformation leaked to help Clinton (not Trump).

President Biden announced Tuesday that the U.S. will ban all imports of Russian oil, natural gas and coal in response to Vladimir Putin's invasion of Ukraine.
What he's saying: "We will not be part of subsidizing Putin’s war," Biden said. "The American people will deal another powerful blow to Putin's war machine."
Biden acknowledged that the decision "is not without costs here at home.""I'm going to do everything I can to minimize Putin's [gas] price hikes" in the U.S., the president said."This crisis is a stark reminder that to protect our economy over the longterm, we need to become energy independent," Biden added. "It should motivate us to accelerate a transition to clean energy."
Driving the news: Biden had come under growing pressure from Congress and Ukraine to sanction Russia's most important industry, but hesitated due to concerns about rising energy prices and opposition by U.S. allies in Europe.
The U.K., which imports most of its energy from Norway, announced its own phased ban on Russian oil — but not natural gas — by the end of 2022."This transition will give the market, businesses and supply chains more than enough time to replace Russian imports – which make up 8% of U.K. demand," U.K. Business Secretary Kwasi Kwarteng tweeted.
The big picture: The European Commission released a plan to reduce EU demand for Russian gas by two-thirds before the end of 2022, and completely phase out dependence on Russian fossil fuels "well before" 2030.
Top European leaders on Monday said they recognized the need to reduce the continent's dependence on Russian oil and gas, but ruled out an embargo for now.
What to watch: House Speaker Nancy Pelosi told the Democratic caucus on Tuesday that the House will move forward with legislation to ban Russian oil imports, despite Biden's executive action, according to a Democratic aide.
The legislation could include other provisions, such as terminating normal trade relations with Russia.
But rational people like you can't comprehend it
Well Sure Roger...
I would most definitely need to be irrational to understand anything your brain concocts.
Realize that this is your argument:
1) Only proof we have after five investigations of 2016 Russian election interference was a fake dossier of Russian disinformation designed to harm Trump.
You determine from this that Putin tried to help Trump win.
2) That after Putin did not make any military threats, take military action, much less invade any other countries during the four years that Trump was President. But started moving troops and threatening invasion in Biden's first year, eventually invading another country.
You determine that Trump would have "hypothetically" done worse to contain Putin even as in REALITY he did better.
That is irrational Roger... and the fact that I am logical and rational is exactly why I am not understanding your argument.
Your arguments, Roger...
Require a willing suspension of disbelief.
You have ZERO EVIDENCE after 5 investigations that Putin every interfered, colluded, or anything else. T
THAT IS THE SAME THAT YOU HAVE THAT VOTER FRAUD COST TRUMP THE WIN......Evidence are pictures of trump with a hooker that putin has buried in the Kremlin.......BWAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!
Europe—most notably German Chancellor Olaf Scholz—said on Monday that it was not on board with banning imports of oil and gas from Russia.
“Currently, there is no other way to secure Europe’s supply of energy for heat generation, mobility, power supply, and industry,” Scholz said.
“It is therefore our conscious decision to continue doing business with Russian energy,” the German chancellor said on Monday"
Biden said he had unity.
The Russians did interfere in 2016 but no collusion was proven to the Republicans in the Senate
They pretty much figured helping Trump would have decreased his chances so they didn't even use Twitter feed.

But you still believe the big lie
Scott has a brain problem IED Syndromes like his irrational diatribes about Ukraine. He doesn't care about them!
They are being extraordinary well against the Russia army.
Instead of condemning Putin he attacks Biden.
Intermittent explosive disorder (IED) is an impulse-control disorder characterized by sudden episodes of unwarranted anger. The disorder is typified by hostility, impulsivity, and recurrent aggressive outbursts. People with IED essentially “explode” into a rage despite a lack of apparent provocation or reason.
You not me
Shut up you dumb fuck.
Instead of making political agenda we should focus on this issue
Western democracies have the necessary resources to close this gap and ensure that Ukraine prevails. Talk of supporting a hypothetical Ukrainian insurgency is premature and counterproductive while the Ukrainian army and territorial defense battalions remain far from defeated. To give those forces a fighting chance, Washington and its allies should establish a lend-lease program modeled on the one that provided arms and assistance to U.S. allies in Europe during World War II. This program would allow the United States and other NATO members to loan or give aid to Ukraine at little or no cost; such aid could include medium- and long-range air defense systems, antitank weapons (beyond the Javelins that have already been provided), advanced extended-range antiarmor capabilities, coastal defense systems, high mobility artillery, and critically important UCAVs. Kyiv could also benefit from systems that could be leased from the United States and its allies, albeit with the understanding that the weapons and equipment would not necessarily be returned after the war.
Ironically, the chief beneficiary of the original lend-lease program was the government in Moscow: at the time, the Soviet Union was a bulwark in the fight against fascism. Today, however, the Kremlin has become a fascist threat, and it is Ukraine that is leading the charge to defend Europe—a fight that the world cannot afford to let the Ukrainians lose.
THE LOAN RANGERS
A new lend-lease program would expedite
the transfer of much-needed lethal aid and equipment to Ukrainian defenders. Establishing a no-fly zone over Ukraine may be too provocative, but if the West is unwilling to stage that sort of intervention, then it ought to supply Ukraine with the tools it needs to control the skies itself, including ones that would allow Ukraine to strike Russian warehouses or staging areas holding aircraft, ballistic missiles, and cruise missiles beyond Ukraine’s borders. This would include UCAVs with air-to-surface and air-to-air capabilities, as well as fighter jets, such as the MiG-29s and Su-25s that Bulgaria, Poland, and Slovakia had proposed to transfer to Ukraine before backtracking for reasons that remain unclear. (Unconfirmed media reports suggest that Washington may have pressured those countries to reverse course.) If NATO members express concerns over transferring fighter jets because of potential gaps in their own air defenses, then the United States and NATO should step in to provide donors with advanced air defense capabilities and more modern fighters, with corresponding training.
The long-term aim of a lend-lease arrangement would be to create stockpiles of military aid along Ukraine’s borders. Ideally, any time Ukraine would submit a request for support, the necessary materiel would be readily available for transport rather than subject to a lengthy procurement process. The most daunting hurdle to this proposal would likely be the initial stages of passing legislation and coordinating plans with allies. But bureaucracy should not stand in the way of waging an existential fight for democracy. Historically, providing aid to Ukraine has been a strong point of bipartisan cooperation, and majorities in both parties understand the importance of Ukraine’s victory in this war. Therefore, the Biden administration is well positioned to mobilize bipartisan support for a new Lend-Lease Act, much as President Franklin Roosevelt did in 1941 despite isolationist opposition. Doing so could even provide a rallying point for Washington after years of domestic polarization.
For such a plan to succeed, officials in Washington and in European capitals must not become paralyzed by a sense of defeatism as they listen to doomsayers foretell the fall of Kyiv, Zelensky’s death, and Putin’s subjection of Ukraine to the brutal measures he used to level Grozny during the Chechen wars and Aleppo during the Syrian civil war. War is unpredictable; nothing in this fight is predetermined. A narrative of inevitable Ukrainian defeat could become a self-fulfilling prophecy. Washington and its allies must not shrink from taking the actions that will help now in favor of steps that might be helpful only after Ukraine has already fallen. It is still well within the West’s ability to influence the outcome of this war; Western leaders must realize the agency they hold.
Scott Johnson wants Russia to win, so Trump can win in the next election.

And this qualifies as rational in the mush you call your brain.
Scott is a fascist like
Ironically, the chief beneficiary of the original lend-lease program was the government in Moscow: at the time, the Soviet Union was a bulwark in the fight against fascism. Today, however, the Kremlin has become a fascist threat, and it is Ukraine that is leading the charge to defend Europe—a fight that the world cannot afford to let the Ukrainians lose.
Senate panel finds Russia interfered in the 2016 U.S. election

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Trump campaign's interactions with Russian intelligence services during the 2016 presidential election posed a "grave" counterintelligence threat, a Senate panel concluded Tuesday as it detailed how associates of Donald Trump had regular contact with Russians and expected to benefit from the Kremlin's help.
The nearly 1,000-page report, the fifth and final one from the Republican-led Senate intelligence committee on the Russia investigation, details how Russia launched an aggressive effort to interfere in the election on Trump's behalf. It says the Trump campaign chairman had regular contact with a Russian intelligence officer and says other Trump associates were eager to exploit the Kremlin's aid, particularly by maximizing the impact of the disclosure of Democratic emails hacked by Russian intelligence officers.
The report is the culmination of a bipartisan probe that produced what the committee called "the most comprehensive description to date of Russia's activities and the threat they posed." The investigation spanned more than three years as the panel's leaders said they wanted to thoroughly document the unprecedented attack on U.S. elections.
The findings, including unflinching characterizations of furtive interactions between Trump associates and Russian operatives, echo to a large degree those of special counsel Robert Mueller's Russia investigation and appear to repudiate the Republican president's claims that the FBI had no basis to investigate whether his campaign was conspiring with Russia. Trump has called the Russia investigations a "hoax."
While Mueller's was a criminal probe, the Senate investigation was a counterintelligence effort with the aim of ensuring that such interference wouldn't happen again. The report issued several recommendations on that front, including that the FBI should do more to protect presidential campaigns from foreign interference.

CNN:
PAUL: I want to hone into something that the president said, he said every time he [Trump] sees me, he says "I didn't do that, I really believe when he tells me that. He means it. But he says, 'I didn't do it.'"
First of all, he said, every time he sees me, he tells me.
Do we know if President Trump brought up the meddling or if President Putin brought up the meddling? And --
BLACKWELL: Did he just come up and say, hey, I didn't do it, just so you know.
PAUL: Right. But then, what does it mean to these four intel agencies who have this proof to hear the president say, I believe President Putin when he said that he didn't do it.
QUIN: Well, I'm sure it's extremely troubling for the U.S. intelligence community to have this evidence and be in largely widespread agreement to hear the commander in chief say that not only does he disagree with them,
but he is agreeing with Russian President Vladimir Putin. I don't know if we'll ever know the truth about who raised the issue of election meddling. I think, obviously, there are denials that it was even discussed with top Russian officials. But I think it can be expected that President Trump did; he's done it before. And he's most likely going to be under a lot of pressure if he did not, at least, raise the issue when he was face to face with Vladimir Putin.
BLACKWELL: It's raising the issue and then saying, I believe him, he tells me every time very vehemently and strongly that he didn't do it, and I believe him.
I don't know if it gets to what people are hoping to hear from the president considering what we're hearing from the intelligence community. Melissa Quinn with The Washington Examiner, thanks so much.
QUIN: Thank you.
WARSAW—-Poland said it would make its MiG-29 combat jets available to the U.S. after days of talks about how to get such planes into the hands of Ukraine.
The Polish government on Tuesday said the planes “are ready to deploy—immediately and free of charge.” The aircraft would be flown to the American Ramstein air base in Germany, where they would be at the disposal of the U.S., Poland’s foreign ministry said in a statement.
The Polish government called on other members of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization with MiG-29s in their inventory to follow its lead and asked the U.S. to provide Poland with used combat planes to replenish the capability lost by relinquishing the MiGs.
“We have seen the Polish announcement and have nothing to offer at this time,” a senior Pentagon official said.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Saturday made an impassioned plea to Capitol Hill for assistance in obtaining more lethal military aid, especially Russian-made jet fighters that Ukrainian pilots can fly. Ukraine’s military has largely relied on surface-to-air missiles to challenge Russian military planes flying over the country, with some apparent success.
300px; inset: 0px;">
Poland had emerged as the leading Western contender to provide planes to Ukraine because the country operates modernized Soviet-era MiG-29 fighter planes that Ukrainian pilots likely could operate. Mr. Zelensky on Saturday lobbied members of Congress for a deal for planes and other military equipment to help the country battle invading Russian forces.
A Polish diplomat said that Warsaw has agreed with the U.S. to transfer the planes and has the full support from the Biden administration for the move.
Poland to Give MIG-29 Fighter Jets to U.S.

Poland’s government announced that it will hand over all its MIG-29 fighter jets to a U.S. air base in Germany,
the AP reports.
In return, Poland asked the U.S. “to provide us with used aircraft with corresponding operational capabilities.”

The Russians did interfere in 2016 but no collusion was proven to the Republicans in the Senate
Okay Genius...
Tell us how they did so?
According to every investigation there was a PR company who was known to have funded attack ads against both (although you will find reference that they only helped Trump and that was a bone of contention in the Congressional reports).
The only other interference was the hacking of the DNC and Clinton websites, but those same hackers were proven to have attempted to hack both the RNC and several of the Republican candidates and were unable to get in.
Neither of this was ever directly or even indirectly tied to Putin. Lot's if inference and implicit suggestion. But no proof. They cannot even "prove" that the hackers were actually Russian. They just make that assumption.
We’re back to the Russian troll farm.

Jury finds first US Capitol riot defendant to go on trial guilty on all counts
By Katelyn Polantz and Hannah Rabinowitz, CNN
Updated Mar 8, 2022
(CNN) - A jury in Washington, DC, on Tuesday found January 6 rioter Guy Reffitt guilty of all five charges he faced related to the US Capitol attack, in the pivotal outcome of the first federal trial related to the riot.
Reffitt, a Texas Three Percenter and supporter of then-President Donald Trump when he went to the Capitol on January 6, was charged with five counts -- wanting to obstruct the congressional certification of the 2020 presidential election, transporting guns into DC, carrying a Smith & Wesson handgun onto the restricted grounds of the Capitol, interfering with Capitol Police protecting the Upper West Terrace and obstructing justice by threatening his son and daughter when he returned to Texas.
The jury of six men and six women in DC's federal court deliberated for just under four hours Tuesday.
Reffitt sat very still, then sipped water as the verdict was read. His wife, Nicole, who had watched each day of the trial with some of her children, did not make it into the courtroom in time to watch it being read.
The maximum sentence for the most severe of Reffitt's charges -- obstruction of Congress and obstruction of justice -- is 20 years in prison. He is scheduled to be sentenced on June 8.
The week-long trial alternated between a painful reliving of the attack for Capitol Police witnesses, a civics lesson on Congress, and a family drama where a son testified against his father.
It was the first case related to January 6 to go to trial and tested the Justice Department's ability to tie one person's actions in the crowd to the broader attack on Capitol Hill.
Reffitt, 49, has been held in jail since his arrest in late January 2021. His case rose to national attention after his son, Jackson Reffitt, did major national TV interviews about turning his father in to the FBI after disagreeing with him about his Trump support and involvement in the Three Percenters.
The conviction could have a dramatic effect on the more than 500 Capitol riot defendants whose cases are still making their way through the justice system. It could encourage some defendants to accept plea deals instead of facing a jury, and also may prompt appeals of the criminal law being used in many of the January 6 prosecutions.
Case against Reffitt
Reffitt's defense lawyer called no witnesses and instead argued that he was an exaggerator, who took credit for bringing a gun to the Capitol and resisting police when he was a bit player in the scrum.
But building their case, prosecutors played on witnesses' emotional memories of the attack and Reffitt's own admissions in text messages and recordings.
Last Thursday, as his father cried across the courtroom, Jackson Reffitt testified that Guy Reffitt "snowballed into a far-right extremist" following the 2016 election of Trump. Guy Reffitt joined the Texas Three Percenters, Jackson said, and became increasingly hostile toward political figures, railing about then-Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, whom he thought were breaking the law.
Jackson Reffitt also told the jury about his father's comments after the riot, that should Jackson or his younger sister turn their father in, they would be traitors, and "traitors get shot."
Rocky Hardie, a former member of the Texas Three Percenters group who was given immunity by prosecutors in exchange for his testimony, told the jury about meeting Reffitt prior to the 2020 election.
"In life most people talk but they don't do," Hardie remembered thinking. Reffitt "seemed to be a person that actually does things."
Hardie testified that he and Reffitt both packed automatic rifles in their car and brought concealed handguns to the Capitol on January 6 for "self-defense." He said they both were aware bringing weapons to the Capitol was illegal, and Jackson Reffitt produced audio to the FBI that captured him discussing with his father laws against carrying a weapon on federal property.
The pair of Three Percenters also brought two-way radios and flex cuffs, "in case we need to detain anybody," Hardie said, while Reffitt wore an armored vest, a helmet and a blue jacket -- items that made him identifiable to police remembering the attack and in multiple video angles of the crowd pushing forward.
Three Capitol Police officers testified about battling Reffitt outside the Capitol. They all noted that Reffitt led the mob forward, taunting police officers that they "couldn't stop all of us." Even once officers had knocked Reffitt back with chemical spray on the Upper West Terrace, rioters behind him were disassembling scaffolding and cutting white tarp nearby, following Reffitt's lead, prosecutors argued. The crowd -- which included alleged members of the Proud Boys right-wing group and the infamous QAnon Shaman Jacob Chansley, who wore face paint and horns -- was ultimately able to break the police line at that part of the Capitol's exterior, opening the path for some rioters to break windows to enter the Senate side of the building.
Text messages and recordings, taken by his son, from after January 6 showed Reffitt recounting how police sprayed him with chemicals and how members of Congress "scurried like rats and hid" while the mob breached the building.
"I had every constitutional right to carry a weapon and take over Congress as we tried to do," Reffitt said to his family in one recording.
Reffitt later said, "I'm not done yet."
One of the officers who faced off against Reffitt, Sgt. Matthew Flood, told the jury he left the west side of the Capitol to help evacuate lawmakers still trapped on the Senate floor. By that point, rioters had cut off all but one escape route -- which they were able to use to rush lawmakers to safety.
"They were calling us traitors, saying that we were in their way, to get out of their way. They were saying that they supported us, and we were betraying them," Capitol Police officer Shauni Kerkhoff said. "It made me feel angry because it's our job to stand in the way."

WTF ??
Putin told Trump that the Russians didn't interfere with our elections
So Reverend...
Why do you care about this?
I certainly don't and what Putin told Trump or whether Trump believed really has ZERO to do with what actually happened. I would hope you are smart enough to understand that it makes ZERO difference, not to mention that it is quite likely that both men were lying through their teeth to each other and playing a strategic game. To take any stock in this whatsoever is downright silly.
But that is just my take.
Obviously you believe this is really important.
So can you explain why something that matters not even the slightest to 99% of the people matters this much to you?
What is your obsession.
Besides you trying to pretend that you have the slightest clue about what others think.

Blah, blah, blah, blah blah blah!
Tell me very specifically Roger.
What exactly did Putin do to help Trump win?
Other than the two things I mentioned:
- The PR firm that was never tied to Putin
- The hackers who hacked the DNC and Clinton servers and tried and failed to get into the RNC and a bunch of other candidate servers on both sides
When I personally READ some of these reports... those certainly appeared to be the only two tangible issues. The rest was classic Politician hyperbole and rhetoric that only the REALLY REALLY STUPID would fall for. Things like supposed contacts between Trump associates and Russians that generally turned out to be Trump associates talking to FBI agents acting like Russians or talking to Ukrainians (with ties to Russian intelligence) and other nonsense like that.
As a genius - obviously you are much smarter than all of those politicians and would have created your own opinion... something extremely easy for people with IQs of 134 to do. But something very difficult for a dumber C+ Student?
SO Roger... are you a dumb C+ Student only capable of cutting and pasting?
Or are you a genius who can do his own research and supply me the EXACT SPECIFIC actions taken by Putin to interfere with an election.
Ch and Trump know more than four of our intelligence agencies know.
...well no, I don't think either one does.
Biden's Booming prices.
"Wheat prices shot to a record $12.94 per bushel, and are up an astonishing 70% over the last month, as measured by a type of futures contract on the Chicago Board of Trade."
Nice job joe
So, Ch, let's be clear:
You are saying that Trump and Putin DID say those things denying that Russians attempted to interfere in our elections,
and four of our intelligence agencies disagreed,
and Trump believed Putin?
And you do too?
Just state that clearly if you do.
Well Reverend...
I know more than you do!
I have actually supplied what the reports stated at the end of the day.
Can you dispute it?
Oh wait... I forgot. Like Roger. You just take everything at its word if it comes from politicians. Your only means to dispute my take would not be to read anything yourself and make your own judgement...
But to cut and paste.
Let me just give you one example, Reverend
Remember the "allegations that Paul Manafort" shared sensitive polling information with a known Russian agent?
Would it surprise you that the person Paul Manafort sharted polling with worked for him in the international lobbying agency that he had been running? That the person in question was not even Russian? His name was Konstantin Kilimnik and he was Ukrainian. He had been an employee of Manafort since 2005. He was "claimed" by many people associated with all of this as having ties to Russian intelligence, but this was long on allegations and short on proof. They literally had no evidence of him doing anything with polling data (which technically was privately owned by the Trump campaign and therefor not legally sensitive to any degree).
Of course, he was indicted and charged with Obstruction of Justice and conspiracy to obstruct Justice. He is not an American citizen so he was never arrested and never faced trial.
All of the rest are simply "accusations" and "determinations" that have never been charged and therefor the basis for those "accusations" remain unknown (or unfounded if you will).
But if you go with just what can be proven?
A PR firm that works a lot with Ukrainian clients has two employees (one American and one Ukrainan) who look at non-secured and not-classified polling information that might help them determine what the correct course of actions are for their Ukrainian clients.
What you get when you embellish?
Paul Manafort sharing secret polling information with Russian agents.
You are saying that Trump and Putin DID say those things denying that Russians attempted to interfere in our elections,
I am saying I don't care what the two of them talked about or how the two of them retold their story to others.
I don't care and it doesn't matter.
How is that not clear, Reverend?
Let's be totally clear here Reverend..
As our Durham Special Counsel investigation has made perfectly clear in court filings and actual proof that we can see.
There was almost no truth to anything that the FBI, Special Counsel or these Congressional investigations concluded. Literally everything about collusion that they were using to draw their conclusions was FAKE RUSSIAN DISINFORMATION designed specifically to harm Trump. Most everything else they came up with was 90% based on RUSSIAN DISINFORMATION.
So at the end of the day... the whole Trump Putin Russian Conspiracy was a lie. The only questions we have are who was in on the lie and who just fell for the lie.
And all that came out of the "interference" aspect when the dust settled and your political rhetoric melted away like an ICE CUBE in hell... was a cheesy indictment of a PR operation in Russia that they could not actually prove was tied in any way to Putin...
Oh... and they couldn't prove that case in court.
see.
There was almost no truth to anything that the FBI, Special
