This list goes all the way back to 1764 and includes 29 different mass shootings. Many of these shootings did not involve any sort of "assault rifle" and none of them appeared to be racially motivated. These shootings took place anywhere from elementary schools to college campuses. Public, private, and even one Amish school were involved. If you increase the minimum requirement to be 10 dead before it is a "mass killing" this number drops to ten shootings since our country's founding.
Now there is no question that any death of a child is a tragedy and that everyone would like to prevent violence in school. But if you were compare and contrast these school shootings with the overall amount of school violence in general, the mass shooting is but a drop in the bucket. Not to mention if you were to compare this to overall violence in society today, it wouldn't even be a partial drop.
There are practical logical common sense manners in which to deal with problems and their are impractical illogical emotionally driven manners that people fall prey to. When it comes to an issue like mass school shootings, I am afraid that there is little evidence that the former is more prevalent than the latter. Almost none of the solutions are logical and pretty much all of the energy is emotional.
Now this is not to discount emotion as a valid reaction to any sort of tragedy. We are all going to get emotional. But making decisions while emotional is never a good thing. But yet, when it comes to things like school shootings, those looking to promote impractical solutions many times literally suggest that we must act while everyone is emotional. Otherwise once the emotions pass and people are seeing things more clearly and more logically, the extreme solution proposed at the height of our emotional despair no longer seems like a good idea.
Trust me when I say that waiting and not acting in the emotional wake of a a tragedy is a feature and not a bug... If these ideas that sounded good the day after a tragedy were really that good, they would not lose their appeal as time wears on. They would stand on their logical merit.

The US president and first lady, Jill Biden, arrived in Uvalde, Texas, on Sunday morning, both dressed in black. They visited the informal memorial of flowers and notes that has accumulated outside Robb elementary school, where the carnage took place last Tuesday.
Then they will meet families who lost loved ones, and those who survived the gunman’s rampage, followed by first responders, after a relatively long gap between the tragedy in Uvalde and the presidential visit.
On Saturday, the vice-president, Kamala Harris, called for a ban on such military-style assault weapons for the general public, while she attended the last funeral of the 10 people killed just two weeks ago in a racist attack on a supermarket in Buffalo, New York, carried out with a similar gun.

The center of Uvalde was busy but hushed on Saturday afternoon as a long line of people lined up quietly in heat approaching 100F, waiting to place flowers and other tributes at the hurriedly-created memorial of crosses set up for those killed five days ago at nearby Robb elementary school.
An ambulance was standing by and a state trooper assisted members of the public who came to mourn.

President Biden and first lady Jill Biden are visiting Uvalde, Texas, on Sunday in the wake of this week's mass shooting that killed 19 children and two adults.
Driving the news: Upon arrival in San Antonio, the president and first lady were greeted on the tarmac by a group including Texas Gov. Greg Abbott and Uvalde mayor Don McLaughlin.
The Bidens then visited Robb Elementary School to pay their respects to the victims.
What's next: The Bidens will attend mass at Uvalde's Sacred Heart Catholic Church, before spending much of the afternoon meeting privately with families of the victims and survivors of the shooting. They will also a separate private meeting with fist responders, according to the president's public schedule.
Private meetings with the family members of those who died has to be very emotional..
He even met his critics.
Biden was greeted in Uvalde by Texas Governor Greg Abbott, a Republican who regularly criticizes the Democratic president over immigration at the southern US border and is seeking re-election in November. Biden’s first stop was a memorial at the school where an 18-year-old man who legally bought two assault rifles fatally shot 19 children and two teachers on Tuesday.

Residents who believed they were safe from American turmoil find themselves — and a nation — confronting reality

UVALDE, Tex. — Those who spend their lives in this remote town in the rolling scrublands of South Texas say there is something here they could never find elsewhere.
It is a togetherness, they say, born of innumerable ties of kinship and preserved through the easy rituals of rural life: baptisms and deer seasons, long lunches of carne guisada and summer evenings on the Frio River. Uvalde is a city of more than 15,000 where people still claim to know each other.
But since Tuesday, when one of Uvalde’s own killed 21 people — including 19 children — at Robb Elementary School, its residents have been forced to consider that they may not have known each other as well as they thought. The town they once called a haven from the pathologies of American life has found itself, and a nation seemingly inured to gun violence, on the brink of despair.
The most powerful sign yet of that wrenching transformation was the arrival on Sunday of President Biden, who came to Uvalde to comfort the families of the dead and wounded. But his presence also confirmed that the town was something its residents never expected it to be: The site of the worst school shooting since the 2012 massacre in Newtown, Conn. Uvalde is a place no longer known for its village closeness but for nearly two dozen white crosses erected to honor the dead

It can be hard to get your head around what rightwingers in the US actually believe. On the one hand, they claim to love babies; on the other hand, they’re against government funds going towards helping to feed babies. They claim to love freedom and hate government meddling, but then they’re frenetically trying to pass bills that would take away a woman’s freedom over her own body and allow the government to meddle in intimate reproductive choices.

Joe Biden on Sunday visited Uvalde, Texas, seeking to comfort a community devastated by the latest American mass shooting, which claimed the lives of 19 elementary school children and two teachers.
The visit marked the second presidential visit related to a massacre within two weeks following a racist attack in Buffalo, New York, as Democrats in Washington offered tentative hope of bipartisan gun reform legislation in Congress.
Onlookers cheered Biden but also called out to the Democratic president and visiting Texas Republican governor Greg Abbott about taking action to make America safer for their children.
The US president and First Lady Jill Biden, both wearing black, paid their respects at a makeshift memorial site outside the Robb elementary school in Uvalde, laying a bouquet of white flowers amid a mass of candles, flowers, and photographs of the victims.
Biden could be seen reaching out to touch the pictures of the children and at one pointed wiped tears from his eyes as he made his way slowly through the memorial.
Abbott was close by and since last Tuesday’s shooting has talked about greater security for schools, but not about restrictions on guns, drawing heckling on Sunday. “We need help, Governor Abbott,” shouted one onlooker. “Shame on you, Abbott,” shouted .

Republicans in Congress have introduced a bill to define what a woman is.
Republican Representative Debbie Lesko from Arizona sponsored a “Women’s Bill of Rights” to provide additional legal protections to women under federal law, RedState reported.
Noting that establishing a standard for identifying people on the basis of their sex is crucial to societal stability, H. Res. 1136 states: “[T]here are important reasons to distinguish between the sexes with respect to athletics, prisons, domestic violence shelters, restrooms, and other areas, particularly where biology, safety, and privacy are implicated.”
The proposed legislation states that “males and females possess unique and immutable biological difference that manifest prior to birth and increase as they age and experience puberty” and that “biological differences between the sexes can expose females to more harm than males from specific forms of violence, including sexual violence.”
It even defies current leftwing orthodoxy by declaring that only women are able to get pregnant. The bill states “biological difference between the sexes mean that only females may get pregnant, give birth, and breastfeed children.”
The bill also indicates that motherhood and fatherhood are reserved for women and men respectively. The bill states “for purposes of Federal law, the word ‘mother’ means a parent of the female sex and ‘father’ is defined as a parent of the male sex.”
Republican Reps. Jim Banks of Indiana, Mary Miller of Illinois, Diana Harshbarger of Tennessee, Claudia Tenney of New York, Vicky Hartzler of Missouri, Doug Lambron of Kansas, Ronny Jackson of Texas, Doug LaMalfa, Victoria Spartz of Indiana, Ralph Norman of South Carolina, and Barry Moore of Alabama submitted the bill along side Lesko.

Agency: 1 dead, 7 injured in Oklahoma festival shooting
Associated Press
May 29, 2022, 4:27 PM
TAFT, Okla. (AP) — Authorities said one person was killed and seven were injured in a shooting early Sunday at an outdoor festival in eastern Oklahoma, with a witness describing frantic people running for cover as the gunfire erupted.
Two juveniles were among those shot at the Memorial Day event near Taft, about 10 miles (16 kilometers) southeast of Tulsa, the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation said in a statement.
Witnesses said an argument preceded the gunfire just after midnight, the agency said. No one has been arrested, it said.
“We heard a lot of shots and we thought it was firecrackers at first,” said Sylvia Wilson, an owner of Taft’s Boots Cafe, which was open at the time to serve a surge of visitors to the small town for the Memorial Day weekend gathering. “Then people start running and ducking. And we were yelling at everyone ... ’Get down! Get down!” Wilson said to The Associated Press by telephone from the café on Sunday morning.
About 1,500 people attended the event in Taft, which usually has a population of just a few hundred people. Members of the Muskogee County Sheriff’s Office were in attendance and immediately began rendering aid, OSBI said.
The agency provided no other details including the conditions of those injured. The Muskogee County Sheriff’s Office referred the AP to OSBI for more information. A bureau spokeswoman has not responded to the AP's calls.
Wilson estimated her café is about 100 feet (30 meters) from where the shooting broke out. She said law enforcement had been on the scene to help with security earlier and that officers reacted quickly to the shooting.
“We are upset,” Wilson said, adding: “Everything is getting back to normal. ... The danger has past.”

Purveyors of Trump’s false election claims took a hammering in this week’s Republican primary elections in Georgia. But some watchdogs warn that, about 18 months after the presidential election, the mere existence of 2000 Mules could yet breathe new life into the big lie.
Gunner Ramer, political director of the Republican Accountability Project, said: “We get angry emails in our inbox all the time - we’re dumb, terrible RINOs [Republicans In Name Only] or whatever - and one thing I have noticed is that people do mention 2000 Mules.
“Among the still-can’t-get-over-the-2020-election-loss crowd, they are watching this. It has made an impact with them and reinforced the big lie.”

What a mess.
The Classes of 2020 and 2021 finally got their day under the trees of Tercentenary Theatre Sunday morning, having missed out on the pageantry and rituals of Commencement after the pandemic forced graduations online over the past two years.
For the University’s second Commencement in four days, nearly 9,000 of the graduates RSVP’d their plans to return to Cambridge for the full cap-and-gown experience and to hear featured speaker U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland ’74, J.D. ’77 make a plea for more to embrace public service for at least some part of their lives at a time when the nation’s democratic institutions face historic threat.
“Don’t let your generation be defined by the pandemic,” he said in an address that was both personal and often impassioned. “Let it be defined by public service.”
A longtime public servant himself, Garland, 69, spent decades as a top Justice Department official and federal judge before President Barack Obama nominated him to the U.S. Supreme Court in 2016 following the death of Justice Antonin Scalia, only to see his nomination blocked by Senate Republicans. (“Life doesn’t always turn out the way you expect,” Garland joked. “Trust me on that.”) He was sworn in as President Biden’s pick for Attorney General in March 2021.
Garland touched on the three recent mass shootings, calling them “horrific attack[s]” by gunmen in Uvalde, Texas; Laguna Woods, California; and Buffalo, New York. “These tragedies only underscore how urgent the call to public service for your generation truly is,” he said.
While there are many ways to serve and many problems to resolve, the ongoing threats to democracy and democratic institutions, both in the U.S. and abroad, make the need for broad participation “especially urgent,” he said.
Russia’s invasion of Ukraine is a clear threat that should unify Americans and their international allies. In the U.S., democracy is being imperiled by efforts to undermine the right to vote and violence and threats of violence toward people “because of who they are or how they serve the public,” whether it’s on an airplane or in a restaurant or administering local elections, serving on a school board, or working as a journalist, he said.
“In a democracy, people vote, argue, and debate — often loudly — in order to achieve the policy outcome, they desire,” he said. “But the promise of democracy is that people will not employ violence to affect that outcome.”
Decisions by the U.S. Supreme Court over the last decade have “significantly weakened” many of the “important tools” that the Voting Rights Act of 1965 gave the Justice Department to protect the rights of eligible voters from racially discriminatory practices, he said.
Since then, there’s been a “dramatic increase” in legislation to make it harder for “millions of eligible voters” to cast ballots and choose their representatives. “Those efforts threaten the foundation of our system of government — and there may be worse to come,” he said, noting talk among Republican politicians to give state legislatures the power to set aside the choice of voters.
“When I was sitting where you are sitting today,” he told the graduates, “there were many things to worry about, but it never occurred to me that the right to vote would again be threatened in this country.”
Garland spoke of the dangers of the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol, which took place as Congress prepared to certify the vote count of the Electoral College. The “proceedings were disrupted for hours, interfering with a fundamental element of American democracy: the peaceful transfer of power from one administration to the next.”
He drew a straight line between the Department of Justice’s original mission — to combat white supremacists, like the Ku Klux Klan, who used violence to prevent Black Americans from voting and exercising other constitutionally protected rights — and the Department’s ongoing prosecution of those involved in the Capitol attack.
“A democracy cannot survive if its citizens forsake the rule of law in favor of violence or threats of violence,” he said. “We are all in this together. We must protect each other.”
He reiterated remarks he made in January, saying prosecutors would “hold accountable everyone who was criminally responsible for the Jan. 6 assault on our democracy.” Garland has drawn criticism for what some perceive as the department’s focus on low-level attackers and not on White House or Trump campaign officials.
The House Select Committee investigating the assault will hold public hearings next month.
Resilience and relief were top of mind for graduates and administrators alike.
“Sending you home in March of 2020 is one of the hardest things I have ever done. At the time, I never imagined that the pandemic would disrupt campus life for close to two years and would necessitate canceling not one, but two Commencements,” President Larry Bacow told the happy graduates and their elated family members. “Thank you all for … giving us the opportunity to provide you with the proper sendoff that you so richly deserve.”
“Your time as students — though not what you would have wished, though not what any of us would have wished for you — coincided with this institution at its best. We were reminded of something that has been true of Harvard since its earliest days: We rise to the challenge. Whatever the world throws at us, we meet that challenge, and you did. I could not be prouder of each and every one of you.”
The 2020 and 2021 Commencement speakers, Martin Baron, former executive editor of The Washington Post, and Ruth Simmons, Ph.D. ’73, president of Prairie View A&M University in Texas and a leading voice in higher education, were also on hand. Baron received an honorary degree awarded to him in 2021. Joining him were the other 2021 honorands: Arlie Hochschild, University of California at Berkeley sociologist; Margaret Marshall M.Ed ’69, retired chief justice of the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court; Sebastião Salgado, Brazilian photojournalist and documentary filmmaker; and Anna Deavere Smith, award-winning actor and playwright.
In a break from tradition, one student from each School thanked the many people, especially Harvard staff and faculty members, who worked diligently throughout the last two years to make remote learning and the return to campus successful and safe.
“Members of the Class of 2020, members of the Class of 2021, you need not be challenged further — at least during your time at Harvard,” Bacow said. “May you proceed from this space connected to one another, steeled by your experience, more confident and resilient, and ready to meet whatever the world throws at you in the future. Take what you have learned during your time here and use your education to leave this imperfect world better than you found it. I have great confidence that you will.”

Texas gunman had threatened school shootings on social media, reports say
Teenager displayed worrying behavior in the months before the Uvalde attack, schoolmates tell news outlets
Edward Helmore in New York and agencies
Sat 28 May 2022 17.42 EDT
Warning signs were reportedly mounting in the months before the 18-year-old gunman in Uvalde, Texas, opened fire on a classroom of young children and their teachers four days ago in what would become America’s deadliest school shooting in a decade.
The teenager had used the social media app Yubo to threaten school shootings and rape, as well as to show off a rifle he had bought, CNN reported on Saturday.
And Keanna Baxter, 17, told told the San Antonio Express-News that she’d learned how he could be unpredictable from a friend who had dated him.
“He was overall just aggressive, like violent,” Baxter told the outlet. “He would try and fight women. He would try and fight anyone who told him no – if he didn’t get his way, he’d go crazy.”
She did not give any details about physical altercations or other evidence of violence. But her friend, she said, had told her he was “scary” and “when he would lose his temper, she would literally be scared for her life, basically. He would send her these really nasty messages, where he’d go from super sweet to screaming at her back to super sweet.”
Salvador Ramos was shot dead by federal agents storming the classroom in which he had barricaded himself and killed 21 people last Tuesday, after he’d entered Robb elementary school in the small southern Texas city armed with an assault rifle.
The victims included 19 children and two teachers shot dead and 17 others injured. He had earlier shot his grandmother and left her in critical condition.

Ramos’s parents have given brief interviews but little insight into the mindset or any behavioral problems of the 18-year-old before the mass shooting.
Another schoolmate, Crystal Foutz, said Ramos had threatened to harm her in comments on Instagram. “It was just harassing. And I never, like, provoked him or anything like that. He was aggressive for no reason … I just blocked him,” she told the San Antonio outlet.
Ramos worked at a Wendy’s burger restaurant in Uvalde, according to the New York Times. The night manager there told the paper that he kept to himself.
The portrait painted by the gunman’s schoolmates includes descriptions of him showing up at a park with cuts on his face that he said he’d made “just for fun” as well as rumors of a video of him holding up a dead cat on the passenger seat of his car.
Texas law enforcement officials have said Ramos asked his sister in September when he could buy a gun in Texas. In March this year, Ramos was chatting on Instagram about wanting to make the purchase.
Two weeks later, he posted on Instagram: “10 more days.”
Someone replied, “Are you gonna shoot up a school or something?”
“No. Stop asking dumb questions,” Ramos said. “You’ll see.”
Ramos legally purchased two military-style assault rifles from a federally licensed gun store earlier this month, one a day after his 18th birthday and one week before he entered Robb elementary school with one weapon, 58 magazines and 1,657 rounds of ammunition.
Kamala Harris on Saturday called for a ban on such assault weapons for the general public and urged the passing of legislation strengthening gun control that has long been stymied by Republicans in the US Senate.
Trump was acquitted at his impeachment trial by the US Senate. A bipartisan Senate report later linked seven deaths to the Capitol attack on January 6.
Lawmakers called for an independent commission to be created, similar to one set up after the terrorist attacks on the US on September 11 2001, to investigate the events on and leading up to January 6 and the involvement of the Trump White House.
Republicans in the Senate killed that move so the House last summer formed a select committee to investigate the insurrection, chaired by Mississippi Democratic congressman Bennie Thompson but also including Republicans Adam Kinzinger and Cheney, the daughter of former vice-president Dick Cheney.
The committee has since gathered mountains of evidence and taken testimony from numerous witnesses behind closed doors, while being stonewalled by many senior Republicans, and accuses Trump of attempting to lead a type of coup.
January 6 ‘was a coup organized by the president’, says Jamie Raskin

TAOS, N.M., May 27 (Reuters) - Two blazes that grew into New Mexico's largest ever wildfire were both started by the U.S. Forest Service (USFS), the agency said on Friday, prompting the state's governor to demand the federal government take full responsibility for the disaster.
Forest Service investigators determined the Calf Canyon Fire was caused by a "burn pile" of branches that the agency thought was out but reignited on April 19, the Santa Fe National Forest said in a statement.
That blaze on April 22 merged with the Hermits Peak Fire, which the USFS started with a controlled burn that went out of control on April 6, the agency previously reported.
The combined blaze has so far torched over 312,320 acres(126,319 hectares) of mountain forests and valleys, an area approaching the size of greater London, and destroyed hundreds of homes.
"The pain and suffering of New Mexicans caused by the actions of the U.S. Forest Service – an agency that is intended to be a steward of our lands – is unfathomable," New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham said in a statement.

In July 2020, acting on a tip, Berkeley homicide detectives went to question 60 year old Tony Walker about this murder. Walker made it clear he was annoyed by their questions, “A white kid gets killed and the damn whole world stops… Fuck that white motherfucker.”
Police had not mentioned anything to Walker about any “white kid,” so the fact that he unsolicited brought it up was a huge red flag. Not exactly a criminal mastermind.
Walker would turn out to be the guy who did it, of course. He was arrested a few weeks later, on August 20th, 2020. Walker killed Smith for no reason at all — simply because he was white and walking down the street listening to music — and then had the audacity to complain about "whitey" upon being caught.
I read about Walker’s life… sad story, he never had a chance. Do the details really matter? Another product of a broken family with no father figure. He was first convicted of burglary in 1979 and then he spent the 80’s, 90’s, 00’s, and 10’s in and out of various jails for various burglaries, gun charges, and assaults. Walker described himself as a “washed-up nobody” who probably deserved to die in prison.
In court, nobody attended in the audience on Walker’s behalf.
If the roles were reversed and it was a white 60 year old white guy who shot a black 20 year old university student at the height of the BLM riots, the country would be left in ashes while the lectures on white guilt would be ramped up to 11. But because it was a black man killing a white kid, it was swept under the rug and the media minimized this story at every step of the way.

The Steal The Election phase two is already being built.
Architect of Trump election theft attempt is recruiting an army of conspiracy-fueled poll workers: report
May 30, 2022
With the midterm election just months away and Donald Trump still eyeing a third presidential run in 2024, the New York Times is reporting that one of the architects of the former president's attempt to throw out the results of his 2020 loss is currently working on recruiting conspiracy-minded poll workers and watchers that have state election officials fearful of future chaos and disruption.
According to the report, attorney Cleta Mitchell who rose to fame as a participant on Trump's infamous phone call to Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger where the former president demanded the Georgia Republican "find" 11,780 votes, is working with the Election Integrity Network which has financial ties to Trump's still-thriving political operation.
As the Times' Alexandra Berzon writes, Mitchell has been busy traveling the country and meeting with far-right activists, instructing them on how to get deeply involved with the election process in their states, putting them in a position to challenge election results and disrupt certification of the votes.
According to Berzon, no position at the state level is considered too small by Mitchell, who recently told over 150 conservatives in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, "We are taking the lessons we learned in 2020 and we are going forward to make sure they never happen again.”

According to Berzon, no position at the state level is considered too small by Mitchell, who recently told over 150 conservatives in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, "We are taking the lessons we learned in 2020 and we are going forward to make sure they never happen again.”
Excellent.
Finally, Republicans are going to get out in front of this and actually 'Stop The Steal' BEFORE it occurs.
Of course, I'll believe it when I see it.
The 71-year-old lawyer has been a steady and influential force in the voting battles. Once a liberal Democrat in Oklahoma, Ms. Mitchell has been a fixture in the conservative movement. She has represented the National Rifle Association and was on the board of the American Conservative Union. She has worked closely with Virginia Thomas, the wife of the Supreme Court justice Clarence Thomas, on organizing through the Council for National Policy, a national coordinating group for conservative leaders.
In August 2020, Mr. Trump tapped her to prepare for postelection litigation. She enlisted John Eastman, the lawyer who crafted specious legal theories claiming Vice President Mike Pence could keep Mr. Trump in power. “A movement is stirring,” Ms. Mitchell wrote to Mr. Eastman just two days after Election Day. “But needs constitutional support.”
Ms. Mitchell helped the president argue his case to state officials. She was on the phone with Mr. Trump when he asked Brad Raffensperger, Georgia’s secretary of state, to “find 11,780 votes” that could reverse Mr. Trump’s defeat there.
Her latest effort is organized through the Conservative Partnership Institute, a nonprofit organization where she serves as a senior legal fellow and where Mark Meadows, Mr. Trump’s final White House chief of staff, is a senior partner. Mr. Trump’s political action committee, Save America PAC, donated $1 million to the group last year.
Ms. Mitchell has described herself as a key conduit between activists and Republican Party leadership.
“We are trying to bridge the gap between the grassroots and some of the issues we’ve had with the party,” she told trainees at the event outside Harrisburg.
Ms. Mitchell is no doubt connecting with some of the fringe groups and ideas some in the party once avoided.
Activists also were advised to research the backgrounds of election officials, key staff members, and even people inside attorney general offices who work on election issues. The question they should pose about the attorney general officials is, “Is that a friend or foe?” it says.
Coaching poll monitors to consider election officials as enemies is a formula for conflict, said Tammy Patrick, a former federal compliance officer for the Maricopa County elections department in Arizona, who reviewed the manual.
“Sixty to 70 percent of the content is educational, it is observation, it’s transparency,” said Ms. Patrick, who now is a senior adviser to the elections program at Democracy Fund. “But throughout the document, there’s this pitting of people against the election official or the people they’re there to learn from.”
“If they’re being obstructionary and slowing down the process, that’s going to be incredibly challenging,” she said.
Ms. Mitchell said election officials “should have no problem with citizens asking questions and helping them do their jobs better.” She noted the activists are instructed to be courteous and respectful.
Indeed, at the Harrisburg training, Jenny Beth Martin, the leader of Tea Party Patriots, a conservative advocacy group, suggested activists use a three-word response whenever they become frustrated with officials: “Bless your heart,” she said.
Classic fascist strategy.

If the January 6 hearings do lead to the criminal prosecution of Trump, that could of course lead to a blockbuster that will blow the current attraction out of the water. It would be a sequel even bigger than the original “Trump on Trial” miniseries – his two impeachments. And who knows? Down the road, a future spinoff of Trump’s hit network reality show might be called “The Apprentice: Rikers Island edition.”

An outright LIE.
Video taken Sunday afternoon and posted to Twitter by El American reporter Anthony Cabassa shows Joe Biden, in town to pay respects to those killed in the school massacre this week, walking down a sidewalk with wife Jill after leaving mass in Uvalde, Texas, making their way to a crowd of people behind a police line. Biden’s motorcade can be seen inching down the street alongside him. The crowd breaks out into boos and chant’s of “Do something!” After a few seconds Biden turns away, walks into the street and climbs onto the Beast as it pulls up, stepping up on the door platform to tell the crowd, “We will!”, pointing his index finger and then giving a thumbs up to the vocal crowd.

Biden booed while visiting Texas after mass shooting
A huge armed law enforcement presence was on-site to guard pro-gun control Biden.
President Joe Biden was booed as he and the First Lady exited a Catholic mass in Uvalde on Sunday, with the crowd yelling for him to "do something," following a Texas school shooting that killed 21 people on Tuesday.
According to investigative reporter Drew Hernandez, Biden appeared "clueless" as he and the First Lady left Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Sunday, which lies around one mile from Robb Elementary, where Tuesday's fatal shooting took place.

The first memorial services for the 19 children and two teachers killed in a mass shooting at their elementary school in Uvalde begin on Monday, a day after Joe Biden visited the small south Texas city and was urged by residents to take action on gun safety laws.
Relatives, school mates and friends of Amerie Jo Garza, who turned 10 on 10 May, just two weeks before she was gunned down, will gather on Monday at the funeral home directly across the street from Robb elementary school where the massacre happened last Tuesday.
Terrified children had fled to the Hillcrest Memorial funeral home a few yards away as the gunman wreaked carnage at the school, also killing two teachers, and now Amerie Jo and more of the dead are there in caskets, waiting to be laid to rest in the town devastated by a senseless atrocity.
Amerie Jo Garza will be buried on Tuesday, one week after the shooting, with a service at the Sacred Heart Catholic church in Uvalde, where the US president and first lady Jill Biden attended a service during their visit on Sunday, before meeting with bereaved families, survivors and first responders.
Many other funerals will soon follow in a sickening series as the 21 victims in a place with a population of less than 16,000 are mourned.

His weak leadership produced grave results: More than 400,000 Americans died from Covid-19 during Trump's final year in office, which was more than the death toll of all the Americans who had died in wars going back to World War II.

WASHINGTON, May 12 (Reuters) - President Joe Biden on Thursday commemorated the COVID-19 deaths of 1 million people in the United States, marking what he called "a tragic milestone" and urging Americans to "remain vigilant" during the ongoing pandemic.
In a statement, Biden acknowledged the impact of the deaths on families left behind and urged the country not to "grow numb to such sorrow."
The United States on Wednesday reached more than 1 million COVID-19 deaths, according to a Reuters tally, crossing a once-unthinkable milestone about two years after the first cases upended everyday life. The loss represents about one death for every 327 Americans, or more than the entire population of San Francisco or Seattle. read more

The US government on Sunday announced a federal investigation into the police response to the mass shooting at a Texas school five days ago as anger mounted over why armed officers waited more than one hour in the hall outside the classroom where the gunman killed 19 children and two teachers and wounded others.
The US Department of Justice said it will conduct a “critical incident review” of the law enforcement action in the small south Texas city of Uvalde last Tuesday.
“The goal of the review is to provide an independent account of law enforcement actions and responses that day, and to identify lessons learned and best practices to help first responders prepare for and respond to active shooter events,” DoJ spokesperson Anthony Coley said.
He noted that the mayor of Uvalde, Don McLaughlin, had requested the review.

What's amazing is an off duty border patrol agent who was getting a haircut, grabbed a shotgun from the barber, ran to the school and killed the shooter.
While trained cops were on standdown for an hour
Unfuckingbelievable
now the shooter's mother will probably sue him

you are right, but thank God for the border patrol ignoring local law enforcement
The other BORTAC agents, along with members from ICE’s Homeland Security Investigations unit, were late to get to the classroom after they were initially told by local police to wait outside the school upon arriving, two federal law enforcement sources told NBC News.
The HSI agents had been instructed to instead help retrieve children from the windows. But after roughly 30 minutes, the agents from both agencies ignored local law enforcement and entered the school, the report said.
