I will give the left credit for working "really really" hard to imply that every mass killing is motivated by Trump, Tucker, FOX, Joe Rogan, the "My Pillow guy", and pretty much the entire racist GOP. Most of the time they have about 90% wrong, but that won't stop them from doing the same thing the next time someone kills a bunch of people.
In this case, they somehow want to associate Tucker Carlson's pro-border security stance (which is election based) with the European Replacement Theory which is culture based. Carlson's argument is that Democrats want to import illegal immigration (mostly Hispanic), give them a path to citizenship, all so they will vote for them and keep them in power. The gunman targeted Black people in an Urban area (which literally has nothing to do with border immigration).
Ironically they work hard, but don't have to. All they need to do is put Tucker Carlson or FOX News in the same sentence and the liberal sheeple will find a correlation.
Perhaps someday they will realize that they should try harder to stick with the facts and basically wait for those facts to come out. But alas, that would require them to engage in (gasp) honest dialogue and let (double gasp) the facts stand for themselves. Cannot have that when those facts don't match the rhetoric!

Greene said after taking her oath of office that the January 6 rally was “our 1776 moment,” for instance, which the challengers argue has a violent connotation that’s more easily understood in light of comments Greene made before taking office.
Greene’s attorney and Raffensperger’s office have not yet responded to requests for comment.

The attempt to blame Carlson for the Buffalo shootings depended entirely on one claim: Carlson has previously talked about and defended the view that immigration is a scheme to “replace” Americans, and this same view was central to Gendron’s ideology. Again, even if this were true, it would amount to nothing more than a claim than the shooter shared key views with Carlson and other conservative pundits — exactly as Hodgkinson shared core views with Maddow and Sanders, or the numerous murderers who killed in the name of black nationalism shared the same views on the police and American history as any number of MSNBC hosts and Democratic Party politicians, or as Pim Fortuyn’s killer shared core views with animal rights activists and defenders of Muslim equality (including me). The kid seems to have pretty much zero interest in American politics. He does not show any inference to a political party (other than to describe himself as a socialist or communist who has moved towards authoritative left). He denounces cable news for hiring Jews so he does not appear to be anymore of a Tucker Carlson viewer than a Rachel Maddow viewer.
He seems to be a messed up kid who got sucked into a long standing "Replacement theory" which can mean many things, but in his case has almost everything to do with the European version of the theory. When he does the Q&A version of his manifesto he describes himself as European descent and that he is fighting for the European culture. I would argue that this is simply a more intellectual version of European/White Supremacy, and while he doesn't get into Hitler or Nazis to much degree, I am sure much of what he is pushing is similar to what Hitler pushed.
The underlying concept is that there is a longstanding European culture that dates back centuries and that it is being destroyed from within by Jews, Arabs, Muslims, Asians, etc... migrating into European areas and "replacing" the culture. At the end of the day it is about the age old question as to whether or not migrant people should "assimilate" into a culture or whether the culture needs to bend and accept the alternate cultures of the migrants.
The idea is that Europeans are slowly being "replaced" in these European cultures by migrans who refuse to "assimilate" and instead are changing the centuries old cultures that they are moving into.
Personally, having been to Europe twice, and spending a lot of time in Paris, there is definitely a culture there that is different from other places I have been. We specifically stayed outside of the traditional American tourism spots at a hotel in a combo residential market area where almost everyone spoke French. The people are simply different. Everyone dresses up just a little more, things are more proper if not formal, and being polite is just expected. Americans believe these people are standoffish and rude, because they expect everyone to be their friend and listen to their stories and allow them to be the center of attention. But in the end, it is the American who is being rude, for doing exactly what he/she believes they are entitled to when nobody cares.
I personally enjoyed the culture and my wife loved it (as she is a natural introvert). The idea of a waiter just taking your order and bringing you food without engaging in clever banter would seem odd at the local sports bar, but there it is the norm. Oh and don't tip. It's considered rude.
But it wouldn't take "much" to change that culture. It would be a quick slippery slope and the people of Paris are quite protective of their culture. They don't want Paris to be New York or London or some melting pod. They like it just the way it is.
Since it has been that way for centuries... who is "this" generation to simply toss it all aside because they believe it to be old fashioned or even racist... and they would rather favor immigration, inclusion, and diversity of culture.
Because once the Paris culture is gone... it's gone for good.
Now obviously that is just one single version of the theory... and while some may consider it racist or bigoted, that sort of idea is not about bloodshed or war. But there are those who would use the whole Replacement theory to go to war and justify violence. When you consider it, isn't that part of the reason that the Nazi's gathered up the Jews? They were coming into Germany, taking and changing things. Controlling too much money.

The Buffalo shooter adapted and copied multiple sections from the Christchurch manifesto. He cited the Christchurch shooter as his inspiration.

The gunman that killed 10 people in a Saturday Buffalo mass shooting was a Christchurch shooting copycat, identifying the mass murderer as an inspiration and plagiarizing large sections of his hero's manifesto.
The Buffalo shooter wrote in his 180-page manifesto that the Christchurch shooter's "livestream started everything you see here...started my real research into the problems with immigration and foreigners in our White lands, without his livestream I would likely have no idea about the real problems the West is facing."
The title of the Christchurch shooter's 87-page manifesto was "The Great Replacement," a conspiracy theory that drove much of the narrative in the Buffalo shooter's manifesto. The narrative asserts that "White countries" are being flooded with immigrants to displace the nation's citizenry. The Buffalo gunman more heavily emphasized the role of Jews as the masterminds of the initiative.
Like the Christchurch shooter, the buffalo gunman attempted to livestream his attack. According to the Anti-defamation League, the shooter's "choice to stream the shooting on Twitch was also seemingly strategic. In the manifesto, he allegedly writes that another attack was streamed on Twitch for about 35 minutes, 'which for me shows that there is enough time to capture everything important.'"
Plagiarized manifesto
The question and answer format of the Buffalo shooter's manifesto is based on the Christchurch shooter's manifesto, often using the same subheadings to lay out his beliefs.
Some answers, such as for why the Buffalo shooter hates black people, are a reconfigured version of the Christchurch gunman's manifesto, merely supplementing "Muslim" with "black." The Buffalo shooter also used an updated list of white supremacist shooters adapted from the Christchurch manifesto.
Other sections of the Buffalo shooter's manifesto are plagiarized completely from the Christchurch manifesto.
The inclusion of the 14 words of white supremacy, a passage criticizing conservatism, and a section entitled "Kill High Profile Enemies" — among other parts — were completely copied.
In the "Kill High Profile Enemies" section, the manifestos call for the killing of Hungarian-American businessman and philanthropist George Soros, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, and London Mayor Sadiq Khan.
Internet trolling
Another similarity is the use of memes and Internet humor to confuse and troll readers and those that may attempt to report on the manifesto.
In the Christchurch manifesto, the shooter joked that video games "Spyro the Dragon 3 taught me ethnonationalism. Fortnite trained me to be a killer."
In the Buffalo manifesto, the writer attempts to continue the long-running trolling of journalists in which one claims that pictures of comedian Sam Hyde are images of the mass shooters or persons connected to violent events.
Capitalizing on the frenzy of speculation about the identity of the Ghost of Kyiv, a made-up Ukrainian pilot, internet pranksters photoshopped a picture of Hyde onto the body of a deceased Ukrainian pilot and claimed that he was the Ghost. The picture tricked US Republican congressman Adam Kinzinger, who wished fake pilot "Samuyil Hyde" continued success against Russian air forces.
Future copycat shooters
The Buffalo shooter goes into lengthy details about his strategic and tactical considerations for how he planned his attack, explaining which weapon and armor he used and why. He included a step-by-step plan for the attack. Coupled with the livestream, it is possible that the shooter intended for copycats to emulate him as he copied the Christchurch shooter.
The gunman shot 10 people to death and wounded three others at a grocery store in a Black neighborhood of Buffalo, New York, before surrendering to authorities.

After a mass shooting apparently driven by racism in Buffalo this weekend, a former member of House GOP leadership didn’t mince words.
“The House GOP leadership has enabled white nationalism, white supremacy, and anti-semitism,” Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) tweeted Monday morning. “History has taught us that what begins with words ends in far worse. @GOP leaders must renounce and reject these views and those who hold them.”
Cheney’s comments come after the tragedy in Buffalo has forced something of a reckoning about how the racist “great replacement theory” — that is, the idea that immigrants are replacing native-born Americans in some undesirable and politically calculated way — has gained traction on the right.
Racists have long espoused the theory — as the Buffalo suspect apparently did — to suggest that Whites are being usurped. Meanwhile, in recent years, Republicans and conservative pundits have increasingly cast Democrats as favoring immigration in the hopes of diluting the GOP’s political power.
Which of the two major political parties has the largest number of avowed White Supremacists supporting it today, Ch? Which has the largest number of avowed racists and haters of immigrants?
Which party has the largest number of people stating their willingness to take up guns in rebellion against our government?

This weekend, the gunman of the Buffalo shooting was revealed to be a supporter of a Tucker Carlson conspiracy theory the Fox News host has been promoting for the last year.
Carlson has dedicated several segments of his show on the so-called "white replacement" or "great replacement" theory. Loosely, the theory goes that Democrats are intentionally trying to bring immigrants into the U.S. to win elections.
Monday night, responding to criticism following the Buffalo mass shooting, Carlson told his audience that they were the ones that were under attack. Carlson said "you cannot be allowed to express your political views out loud. That’s what they’re telling you."
Carlson went on to falsely claim that "hate speech" is just speech that other people hate.
Yes, Tucker Carlson shares the bulk of the blame for the Buffalo Supermarket attack, and hopefully, the bulk of the financial burden, should the victims' families choose to file a civil suit..

A few hours after the Buffalo shooting, Arizona Senate candidate Blake Masters (R) posted a video saying: “The Democrats want open borders so they can bring in and amnesty **tens of millions** of illegal aliens — that’s their electoral strategy.” J.D. Vance, the GOP Senate nominee in Ohio (who, like Masters, is bankrolled by billionaire Peter Thiel), offers an even sicker twist on this demented theory: He says that Democrats are not only opening the borders to create “a shift in the democratic makeup of this country” but that President Biden is deliberating letting fentanyl into the country “to kill a bunch of MAGA voters in the middle of the heartland.”
Little wonder that a poll taken in December found that nearly half of all Republicans believe that there is a plot to “replace” native-born Americans with immigrants. Fox talking heads and Republican politicians have mainstreamed white supremacist ideology.
Republicans, of course, will insist that they never intend for anyone to commit murder, but a growing number of GOP politicians have engaged in violent rhetoric. Even those who don’t advocate violence have made it easier to carry out by eviscerating the gun laws.
The Buffalo terrorist, like so many other mass shooters, used an assault weapon. In his manifesto, he expressed concern that, after his attack, “gun control policies will be brought forth to the state and federal government,” including “Calls to ban high-capacity magazines, assault weapons including AR-15’s, and even items such as body armor.” He need not worry: Republicans will never permit these sensible reforms to pass.
Instead, they will offer “thoughts and prayers” and claim that the way to stop mass shootings is to make guns more widely available to law-abiding citizens. This theory was tested in Buffalo and found wanting: A retired cop working as a security guard was killed trying to stop the gunman, who was wearing body armor.
After the Buffalo attack, Biden issued a statement: “Hate must have no safe harbor.” Unfortunately hate continues to enjoy a safe harbor on the American right. And the casualties pile up.
Sherrilyn Ifill, president of the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, said that while curtailing gun violence is important, the nation’s leaders need to place less focus on the method of the violence and more on its underlying reason.
“The poison of white supremacy has been attached to every instrumentality of violence. And yes, guns are uniquely deadly, & we must address it urgently,” Ifill wrote on Twitter. “But so too is white supremacy. It is used to manipulate elections, to destroy public education, to deny disaster relief, to justify starving babies, to poison communities, to destroy empathy, to deny the truth, to steal land, & has the power to turn people into murderers.”

The long game of white-power activists isn’t just to terrorize and intimidate nonwhites: As “The Camp of the Saints” shows, these activists fear apocalyptic extinction if they don’t take up arms. The American equivalent, “The Turner Diaries,” imagines what it would be like to establish white-dominated world through race war and genocide.
Why wouldn’t people immediately condemn such an idea?
Thoughts and prayers are never enough after a mass shooting, but even these messages seem more sparse than usual. Wendy Rogers, an Arizona state senator and member of the far-right extralegal Oath Keepers militia that was involved in the storming of the Capitol, suggested online that the shooting had been a false flag operation perpetrated by a federal agent.
Clearly this is not a fringe idea anymore. Decades of violence at the hands of extremists tell us that such ideas will lead to further violence; mainstreaming of the idea means that the window for action is closing.

Fox News personality Tucker Carlson is facing intense scrutiny from extremism experts, media watchdogs and progressive activists who say there is a link between the top-rated host’s “great replacement” rhetoric and the apparent mindset of the suspect in the weekend’s deadly rampage in Buffalo, New York.
The white suspect accused of killing 10 people and wounding three others Saturday at a supermarket in a predominantly Black neighborhood apparently wrote a “manifesto” espousing the white supremacist “great replacement” conspiracy theory — elements of which Carlson has pushed on his weeknight show.
The theory baselessly holds that a cabal of Jewish people and Democratic elites are plotting to “replace” white Americans with people of color through immigration policies, higher birth rates and other social transformations. The idea circulated on the far-right fringes before moving to the mainstream of conservative media.
“Tucker Carlson has made comments that directly reference this conspiracy theory on his show,” said Michael Edison Hayden, a spokesman for the Southern Poverty Law Center, an organization that tracks white supremacy, hate groups and extremism.
“The rhetoric that he espouses finds its origins in white supremacist literature,” Hayden went on to say, citing examples of websites and other publications popular with white supremacists. He added that Carlson “stops short of naming” Jewish people as the orchestrators of the “replacement,” instead using more general terms such as “the elite.”

We have reached a point in our political affairs in which we are voting for either limited government and a free society or unlimited government and a society in chains. There can be no possible reconciliation of these differences. A gunman remains on the loose after storming into a Dallas hair salon Wednesday afternoon and shooting three women, reports said.
The shooting happened after 2 p.m. at Hair World Salon, a business located in a shopping center in a district full of Asian-owned businesses, according to WFAA-TV.
An unidentified suspect stopped his dark-colored minivan on a six lane road in front of the plaza, walked into the store and began incoherently shouting before opening fire, KXAS-TV reported.
The shooter fired at least four times and hit the three victims — the salon owner, an employee and a customer — in their limbs before fleeing the scene in the waiting vehicle, police reportedly said.
Dallas police describe the shooter as a Black male about 5 feet, 7 inches to 5 feet, 10 inches with a thin build, curly hair and a beard. He was seen driving a maroon minivan.
The injured women, all of whom are Korean, were expected to survive, and the suspect — who police identified as black — remained in the wind, according to the outlets.
The motive for the crime was unknown, but police said there was no immediate evidence it was a hate crime, according to KXAS.

The members of the Exhausted Majority are politically diverse, but united by their desire for flexibility and compromise. In some ways, they have more in common with one another than with either extreme. The eight per cent of Progressive Activists on the left and the twenty-five per cent of Traditional and Devoted Conservatives on the right are less open to compromise, less ideologically flexible, more likely to think that those who agree politically should stick together and fight. Compared with Progressive Activists, Traditional Liberals place more value in authority and loyalty, are less likely to rate their ideological identity above being American, and are more likely to see political correctness as a problem. “Progressive Activists are not representative of most liberal Americans, Traditional and Devoted Conservatives are not representative of most conservative Americans,” the report says. “Yet both sides have absorbed a caricature of the other.”
A shrewd politician could take the findings of “Hidden Tribes” and create a winning constituency by appealing to the Exhausted Majority. The appeal would resist the litmus tests and the rhetoric of the base and instead speak to underlying values of fairness, compromise, inclusion, and citizenship, based on a vision of national rather than ideological or demographic identity. If elections are reactions to previous elections, such a politician would raise a powerful challenge to Trump and tribalism.

I’ve long said that Mr. Putin is a Russian problem and must be removed by Russians. But the West needs to stop helping him. Every phone call that legitimizes his authority, every cubic meter of gas and every barrel of oil imported from Russia is a lifeline to a dictatorship that is shaking for the first time.
If the goal is to save Ukrainian lives, as Western leaders say, then the only way to do it is to arm Ukraine with every weapon President Volodymyr Zelensky wants as quickly as possible. A cease-fire that leaves Russian forces on Ukrainian soil would only allow Mr. Putin to continue his genocide and mass deportations under cover, as he’s been doing since he first invaded in 2014.
There are also those who openly take Mr. Putin’s side even now. Hungary’s Prime Minister Viktor Orbán is blocking a European Union ban on Russian oil imports, a supply that is putting tens of billions of dollars every month into Mr. Putin’s war machine. Turkey’s Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is threatening to disrupt Finland’s and Sweden’s accession into the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, although it’s likely he’s looking to gain something for himself, as usual. In the U.S., Sen. Rand Paul has held up a new emergency financial-aid package to Ukraine—money, by the way, that would mostly be spent with American suppliers.
On May 9, President Biden signed the first lend-lease bill since World War II to speed aid and armaments to Ukraine. It was perfectly timed for Russia’s Victory Day, the annual celebration of the Nazis’ defeat, which has been turned into a perversion of patriotism that frames anyone or any nation that opposes Mr. Putin as a “fascist.” The real fascism is in the mirror as hundreds of thousands of Russians fleeing for the exits realize.
As for the 144 million Russians remaining in Mr. Putin’s police state bombarded with increasingly toxic propaganda for more than two decades, they have hard choices to make as Mr. Putin’s facade of stability crumbles and defeat in Ukraine looms. A dozen recent attacks on Russian military-recruiting offices are an indication of what might be coming.
The original Lend-Lease Act of 1941 allowed the Soviet Union to fend off Hitler’s invasion. Now the army boot is on the other foot if the U.S. reclaims its honorable heritage as the arsenal of the free world to help Ukraine defeat Mr. Putin’s invasion.
The bill is also a sign that Mr. Biden is finally shaking off the legacy of his days as vice president, the crucial period when Mr. Putin went from aspiring autocrat to full-blown dictator as the free world sat on its collective hands. When Mr. Putin invaded Georgia in 2008, Western leaders said it was better to maintain economic and political ties rather than punish him. This is the engagement policy we were told would eventually liberalize Russia—and China—by tying it to the free world.
Barack Obama epitomized the trend. As a candidate, under pressure from John McCain’s campaign, he condemned Mr. Putin’s incursion into Georgia. But President Obama was quick to make clear to Mr. Putin and other dictators that America would be leading any remaining freedom agenda from behind. The now-infamous “reset” renewed Mr. Putin’s credentials as he cracked down on the vestiges of Russian civil society. In a 2012 debate, Mr. Obama’s mocked Republican challenger Mitt Romney for stating, accurately, that Russia was America’s top geopolitical foe.
This attitude led to 2014, when Mr. Putin was emboldened enough to cast off any democratic trappings in Russia, invade Ukraine, and 2016, when he interfered in British and U.S. elections. In Europe, German Chancellor Angela Merkel pushed ahead with the Nord Stream 2 pipeline project, increasing dependence on Russian energy when the opposite was needed. Now it’s being done abruptly and painfully. Perhaps Mr. Obama and Ms. Merkel could tour Kyiv together to see the damage they helped cause and to apologize to the Ukrainian people.
Mr. Putin’s corrupt and incompetent military is good only at brutality and massacring civilians, but has had eight years to entrench in the occupied east that Ukraine’s forces are now approaching. We will see how committed Ukraine’s allies really are as the war moves into a new phase in which defense is not enough. Will they help Ukraine win, to destroy Mr. Putin’s war machine, and to restore all Ukrainian territory? Will they keep sanctions in place to increase domestic pressure on Mr. Putin and to let his mafia know that there is no way back to the civilized world for them and their families while Mr. Putin is in power?
The free world that won the Cold War is remembering how to fight and rediscovering the values that give meaning to the fight. That’s bad news for Mr. Putin and the other dictators watching closely, from Beijing to Tehran to Caracas. Ukrainians are fighting for their lives and their nation, and for the free world. Let it not be as a proxy, but as a partner.
