Liberal San Francisco prosecutor recalled

BOUDIN BOOTED
In today’s feelgood election story, San Francisco’s Soros-approved District Attorney Chesa Boudin decisively lost his recall election after a mere two and a half years in office. The outcome was decisive. Sixty percent of 125,000 votes were cast in favor of Boudin’s booting.
Recall is a particularly good word in this case. He was a defective prosecutor. Among his innovations was the elimination of cash bail, the nonprosecution of a large swath of property crimes, the toleration of open-air drug dealing, and the facilitation of San Francisco’s continued descent into third-world hellhole status.

When you are a liberal and lost San Francisco... well you pretty much have lost everything. But this is the sort of post George Floyd disaster that was pushed by the left at the time. Defund police, don't send anyone to prison, allow crime to run rampant because otherwise you are racist or something.

But in reality... nobody wants to live where crime is more prevalent than law and order. Not even the crazy liberals of San Francisco. Perhaps this will be a lesson to be learned? But I seriously doubt it.

San Francisco residents have voted to recall the district attorney, Chesa Boudin, who was elected on an agenda of criminal justice reform but faced intensifying backlash from law enforcement, conservatives and residents concerned about crime.

Boudin’s removal as the city’s top prosecutor in the middle of his first term is a major blow to a growing movement across the US to elect progressive DAs dedicated to tackling mass incarceration, police brutality and racism in the legal system.

Surprisingly I agree 👍

He went to far because being a police officer is one of the most dangerous personal decisions

Dayum Lil Schitty.....your worst nightmare is coming true....>Progressive D's starting to see the light that their extreme position is no where a winner and that moderation will prevail in a few short months!!!! Good for SF to once again lead the way!!!!

Plus Scott ➕️ this has to be addressed too

This is far too often.

An armed man was arrested near the home of Brett Kavanaugh after making threats against the US supreme court justice.

In a statement, a supreme court spokesperson said the man was arrested by Maryland police on Wednesday, at 1.50am ET.

“The man was armed and made threats against Justice Kavanaugh,” the spokesperson said.

If this guy was a crazy liberal man. I don't accept it

Kavanaugh was one of three justices confirmed under the presidency of Donald Trump, giving conservatives control of the court by a 6-3 margin.

His confirmation hearings were hugely controversial. Kavanaugh vehemently denied allegations of historic sexual assault.

He might have been a sexual predator like Kavanaugh

How to Think About the January 6 Hearings

June 8, 2022 at 12:00 pm EDT By Taegan Goddard 59 Comments

Amanda Carpenter offers “a sample platter” of the stories the January 6 Committee has to nail down in their public hearings:

*Trump’s lies.

*How the GOP and its many aligned advocacy organizations fundraised off Trump’s meritless legal challenges to cancel Democratic votes.

*The efforts to squeeze state officials to “find the votes” in swing states Trump lost.

*The schemes inside the Department of Justice to launch sham investigations into voter fraud.

*The wild ideas entertained inside the White House to seize voting machines in order to “rerun” the election.

*The pressure campaign on Republican members of Congress and Vice President Mike Pence to deny Electoral College votes for Biden.

*How Trump summoned a real-life mob, bearing tactical gear and weapons, that resorted to physical violence to stop Congress from certifying Biden as president.

“It’s a lot. Give it time to sink in. And do not let the political junkies rush the process with their relentless questions about whether or not the hearings will ‘work’ in changing public opinion.”

Wow Roger...

That seems to be an unjustified personal attack and a matter of libel against a man who has never been found guilty or even charged for anything sexually related. Someone who everyone who actually knows him suggests he is a stand up guy and one of the nicest men they have ever met...

and someone at the pinnacle of his career path...

He could be living in a nursing home instead?

Remember that the sleazy attorney who brought forth allegations against Kavanaugh is now in jail and the main accuser is forever tarnished and brandished as a liar out to score cheap political points.

If I were you... I would delete the slander.

If makes you look petty, partisan, stupid, and silly.

There should be no question in anyone's mind that the alky is mentally ill. No sane person behaves like this.

And no sane person is locked down in a psychiatric hospital either.

Experts say prosecutors’ policies often have little bearing on crime rates, which are a function of complex socioeconomic factors, with some research suggesting that harsher punishments do not deter crime. As the recall gained ground, Boudin’s office noted that some California regions with “tough on crime” DAs promoting a traditional punitive approach were experiencing higher crime rates than San Francisco.

Bid to recall San Francisco DA could be bellwether for progressive prosecutors

In an interview before the election, Boudin said the recall was “dangerous for democracy”, noting that voters were opting to remove him without knowing who would replace him. The recall, he said, was relying on a “Republican- and police union-led playbook to undermine and attack progressive prosecutors who have been winning elections across the country”.

San Francisco’s mayor, London Breed, a moderate Democrat, will appoint a successor to take over the DA’s office, but did not immediately announce her pick on Tuesday. Breed has increasingly opposed Boudin’s policies and criminal justice reforms more broadly, repeatedly siding with police officials in disputes and pushing to expand the police force and its powers. Boudin will be removed 10 days after the results are formally adopted, and his replacement will remain in place until the November election.

Experts say...

LOL.

You and your fucking 'experts.'

Experts at being fucking WRONG most of the time.

Thanks to our 'bail reform' laws up here in NY, violent crime is off the fucking charts, with criminals getting arrested 18, 19, 20+ times, only to spin right through the revolving door of the police precincts and hurt someone else.

But experts say the policies have nothing to do with it.

Fuck you and fuck your experts, alky. Like you, they're wrong way more often than they're right, and like you there are never any consequences for their failures.

This is on topic too about what is happening in California and Los Angeles. She is running for the first woman Mayor of Los Angeles.

Bass said she receives an email alert from the Los Angeles police department every time there is a shooting, and that she personally reads every one, looking for signs of trends in the details: are there more gang-involved shootings? More domestic violence?

Los Angeles saw more than 1,000 homicides a year in the early 1990s. Last year, with violence rising, the city lost nearly 400 people. But one of the things that troubles Bass most is the police department’s 55% rate of solving murders. “People worry about signals sent to people who commit crimes. That is open season. You’ve got a 50-50 chance of getting caught.” She’s pledged to increase LAPD resources specifically for officers tasked with solving homicides.

“I’m always looking for ways of addressing crime strategically and surgically, so you don’t wind up criminalizing an entire neighborhood,” she said.

Still, her ongoing opposition to “Defund the Police” has not been enough to win her allies among Los Angeles law enforcement. A local police union, one she worked closely with while creating 2020’s major police reform bill, has already spent $2m to oppose her candidacy with ads accusing her of corruption.

And her position has drawn pushback from some of her longtime allies on LA’s left. Activists against police violence argue that pouring any more tax dollars into a racist bureaucracy is unlikely to make Angelenos safer. Melina Abdullah and Patrisse Cullors, both prominent Black Lives Matter organizers in Los Angeles, argued in an essay in February that Bass’s pledge to increase police resources “harkens to a 1994-crime-bill-style pro-police system that puts targets on the backs of Black people.

She is a Democrat and she is an African American woman.

So according to Roger, the DA was removed because the People became tired of being criminally victimized by "Reimagine Policing" hoax.

In the local races, where alternatives were presented, the backlash among Democratic voters was apparent. In San Francisco, District Attorney Chesa Boudin, a far-left prosecutor, was recalled in overwhelming fashion, as I predicted earlier this year. Maybe more notably, in Los Angeles Rick Caruso, a billionaire former Republican, has received the most votes for mayor and is headed into a runoff against former Congresswoman Karen Bass, someone who was on Biden’s VP shortlist.

Caruso’s success should be both a model and a warning for progressives looking to disrupt the system. He ran a campaign that was still directionally Democratic, while focusing on discrete issues: cleaning up homelessness and addressing rising crime. Beyond that his policies were all vague and he leaned on support from celebrity liberals like Kim Kardashian and Snoop Dogg as validators.

Moderate Democrats like Obama and Clinton and Sleepy Joe Biden win 🏆

And Bass might surprise me

I'm curious how journos & other Dem operatives think this'll work. Their gaslighting about "mostly peaceful protests" sort of made sense as a way to get thru election. But do they think conservatives will just never notice conservatives are being targeted for political violence?
